Duringmy 8 weeksof ASMediaI have,firstof all,got toknow my classmembersandmy teacher.To
start off withI joinedasmall groupto developandsuccessfullyproduce apreliminaryproject.This
was crucial to start us off with gettingusedtoequipmentandcreatingthe techniqueswe had
previouslylearntinestablishingmedia.ThisincludesMise-En-Scene(props,technical works,
costumesetc.:all aspectsof creatinga scene).Thisalsoincludesthe 180 degreesrule.Where you
keepcamerashotsall one half of ‘a line’.Mygroup,for the preliminaryproject,wasJoshuaBoland,
BrandonHanlonand me,Alice Ward.
Whilstgoingthroughthisstart upprocesswe also hadto construct a blogon edublogs,wherewe
are to continuouslyblog;inall ITtechniquesavailable.Updatingourblogsissignificanttoshow
progressonour Media studiesandespeciallyonourupcoming2minute film.The twominute
beginningof ourfilmprojectisashort startingwitha chosengenre of action/crime.
Withinthe groupI have contributedanddevelopedalotthroughout. We have workedwell and
constructivelyasateam,but independentlyIhave addedalotto the group. ConfidentlyIcansay I
have produceda detailedandclearstoryboardthatisto be seenonthe animatic,of whichIalso
producedtohelpwithour shortfilm.Inplanningwhatwill happen.Alsoaspartof PAJProductionsI
personallycraftedourproductionslogowhichcanbe seenonmyblogas a header.
In additiontothis,Ihave alsoindependentlybeenbehindthe cameratakingthe shotsof our
2minute beginningtoThreeSeven,whilstJoshuaBolandandPatrickClearyhave starredinthe film.I
have contributed,alongside myotherThreeSevengroup,increatingthe charactersPersonally,
drawingroughsketchesof whatisto be expectedof ourcharactersand brainstormingwhatthey’re
to be like (andtheirlives),focusingonMise-En-Scene. All inall Ihave personallytakenituponme to
do the more artisticand creative partof the projects suchas sketching,drawing,creatingshotsetc.I
have alsotakenit uponme to do independentmarketresearchcurrentandpast andfuture.
What have I done well sofar?In my opinion,Ihave workedwell inkeepingmytime togetheras
much as myother team memberskeepingme andothersinline.Andthisalsogoesontous working
well asa team,and havingthe capabilitytokeepeachothermotivatedall the waythroughour
projects.Despite notalwaysbeingontime oron schedule we alwayscome totogether andfinda
solutiontoanyissuesfoundsuchas non-copyrightaudioandfonts.Ihave attendantnearly100% of
my Mediaclassestomake sure I’mkeepingontopof my projectof editingandblogginginclass.I
can alsolistentootherteam mateswell aswell asmyteacher’sguidance.
What couldI improve on?Likewise,Icanimprove onbloggingawhole lotmore to keepontopof
that. Andalsoallocatingcertainhoursoutside of school togeton withanyMediawork that needs
doingforclassescoming.I couldalsotry harderon the IT Skillspresentedonmyblogandsharing
more of mypersonalityonmyMediablogto show how independentIcanbe.
