2. Technologies for Research What have I learnt? I have learnt that these resources are valuable and have been an essential part of the overall product and have formed the basis of my ideas.

3. Technologies for Production Taking Images I decided to take my images in two settings, firstly I went to a live music venue and took a lot of action shots, I then took more poised photos in a studio setting. For both photo shoots I used a DSLR camera; Nikon D3100, and for the studio shoot I used some studio lighting such as the snoot and the soft box which helped enhance the quality of my photos. At first it took time to get used to using these technologies but eventually I got the hand of it and could use them successfully. Below is an example of using this style of lighting.

4. All the work was complete on an Apple Mac. The program InDesign was the main technology I used to create my product. I had never used it before under taking this project and I had some difficulties but with help I found it enjoyable to use. I now know how to use this program and can appreciate it’s importance in the magazine industry. Here is an example of something I have created using InDesign. Technologies for Creation All of the editing work was completed using the Program Photoshop; I hadn’t used it before beginning this project therefore it was a new challenge for me. I did not use it much as |I felt there wasn’t much editing needed for my photos and I found it a bit tricky to use but with the tasks I did undergo I managed to understand how to complete it. Here is an example of some simple editing to a photo I have taken.

5. For a place to show my photos taken for the purpose of my music magazine I decided to set up a Tumblr account as a means of making my images available to everyone to see. I feel this was a good idea as it also allowed me to use picture captions to explain what intended to do in each photo. It is also a different way of using technologies in a variety of ways. My whole project was presented in the format of an online blog, using the blogging site Blogger to convey all my work from the beginning research I completed to presenting the final product. I found using Blogger easy and simple to use. Technologies for Presentation To present certain aspects of the final task I used SlideShare to upload PowerPoint presentation to the upload and make available to view on my blog as a different means of using technology. I found this a quick and easy process.
