2. Favorite Class Assignments
DAAPS Goal-Setting Assignment
With this assignment I feel as though I really learned what my main goal in college needs to
be in order for me to succeed. Aside from showing me what my main focus needs to be it
showed me how to do so. During this assignment I also learned how to positively set my
goals in order to achieve them.
Power of Words Assignment
I thought this assignment was the best by far. I have always thought that words were
powerful, but with the video that was shown it gave such an in depth explanation as to why.
Even after the video we were able to reflect within ourselves as to why our words are as
important as they are.
Letter to the Next Class
This assignment was like a refresher. I not only had to think back on what I had already
learned, but I also had to explain why. Also it put me in the position to possibly be able to
help others.
3. Favorite Journal Entries
Chapter Journal Entry
This journal was one of my favorites because of the self-assessment that we had to do. I enjoy doing
things like that so that I can see where I need to improve. A very enlightening journal.
Journal Entry 8
I enjoyed doing this entry because I thought it was interesting to see how the inner critic, guide, and
defender speak. After doing this assignment I could later pinpoint which was which with myself. With
the knowledge given it can help a person learn about themselves and really improve who they are where
it is necessary.
Journal Entry 23
This entry helped me a lot at the time. With my personal life as well as with dealing with school. I think
learning how to channel our inner guide to help us is very important in order to do well in life.
4. Favorite Module
I really enjoyed Module 1 because we were able to
introduce ourselves and although this was an
online class Module 1 set into motion a good start
for this course.
5. 3 Lessons I will take into next semester
1. Never give up.
2. Continue working on the right way to study, because
there definitely is a wrong way.
3. Further pursuing trying to control how I think about
myself, and the circumstances surrounding myself.
6. Self Assessment
During the course of this semester I noticed that accepting personal responsibility increased.
Although it wasn’t by much it is still important to me that it did, because we can only be responsible
for our own actions. I noticed that my self motivation went down a bit. I think that is because I took
on too much this semester and am still learning how to manage myself with time and events going
on within my life. I know that I can do better though.
