2. My favorite assignments
Week 1 scavenger hunt was very beneficial for myself, I gathered so much information about Grayson
that I had no idea even existed beforehand. I learned that they will actually proof read your essays and
help you as much as they can, which is really helpful because I'm awful at spelling. Not only did it show
me that, but also I am more aware of the other opportunities Grayson offers to help you become the
best student possible.
Also In week 1 the metacognition assignment opened my eyes to how we think, the different
types of thinking and the way I thought personally. I am a beginning thinker which means I am
aware that thinking drives behavior. Which in my words means that I know I control whether I am
upset or not, meaning its all a mindset.
The Grayson career project was another one of my favorite assignments. Coming into college I
had no idea who and what I wanted to be, that made me decide quickly and really made me think
about my future. I was able to be hands on with the job I want, which was really exciting and
taught me so much. Reality really sunk in when I was grading papers for the teacher I was helping
and I realized that is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
3. Favorite Journals
My favorite journals was Journal number one. I learned that I needed guidance
in several things, such as employing interdependence, and adopting lifelong
learn. I went into college thinking I had it all figured out not knowing there
were certain ways of thinking.
The Second favorite journal I did was journal 9, it showed myself I hadn’t
changed as much as I would like. It also proved I needed t work on my
emotional intelligence because my scores both times taking the test were very
low. It made me realize I needed to keep working at making myself the best
me.
4. My favorite week
My favorite week would have to be week 6, I really liked the service learning
assignment. It made it all seem real, now I know what I want to do with the
rest of my life. Honestly going into the community service hours I was scared it
would do the exact opposite, but now I'm dead set on teaching.
5. Lessons I have learned
I have learned that I am a procrastinator and my grades have suffered because
I'm awful with time management
I've also learned how to correctly learned how to study, having the correct
learning skills could help you tremendously throughout college.
Also have learned how big of deal stress is to this generation, I didn’t realize
how many people dealt with stress and other disorders. I also didn’t know that
more then 50 percent of doctor visits are stress related.
6. Self assessment
2 61-57 Accepting personal responsibility
3. 55-57 Discovering self motivation
4. 51-54 Mastering self management
5. 36-37 Employing interdependent
6. 44-47 Gaining self awareness
7. 37-42 Adopting lifelong learn
8. 37-38 Developing emotional intelligence
9. 53-51 Believing in myself
My scores didn’t change much, I'm confused because I feel as if I've come a
long way since this semester but I learned that I am emotional destressed and
that’s the one thing I struggle with. I need to work on myself. I have dealt with
many traumatic things in my life and I struggling with handling it. I need to
deal with them instead of pushing them to the side.
7. Grayson link assignment
I learned how much patience it takes to be a teacher, it honestly takes more
then anyone realizes.
I also learned how to grade papers, and use the grade book.
Another thing I learned is how to plan lectures and assignments, using fun
activities to help the students learn easier.
