3. Favorite Assignments
◦ The Late Paper Case Study
◦ This discussion allowed me note the personal responsibility I hold in college. It made me realize the
consequences that may happen when you act irresponsibly and that sometimes your friends may not
always have your best interest in mind, so it is up to you. It also allowed me realize that my professor are
not required to accept late work and when they set a due date far in advance, they stick to it. It is my
responsibility to turn in my work in time.
◦ How To Get The Most Out Of Studying
◦ This was the first of five videos in a serious that helped me out throughout the semester. It opened my
eyes to the lack on proper study methods I had. Professor Chew explained many new methods to use
and that I will carry on to a university.
◦ Grayson Link Career Assignment
◦ After completing this assignment, it served as a conformation of what I should do. Not only did it give
me numerous choice I was interested in, but also the prospective job outlook, which is important to me.
It also allowed me to see college’s that offered programs related to my work field.
4. Favorite Journal Entries
◦ Journal Entry 11
◦ Journal entry 11 was one of my favorite because it allowed me to use my imagination to dive deeper
into my future. I was able to perfectly envision the life I have made up for myself. Someday I hope to
achieve everything I wrote. It is a constant reminder of what I am working for.
◦ Journal Entry 23
◦ Journal entry 23 allowed me to layout my inner conflicts. It allowed me to realize some of my insecurities
and weaknesses. It allowed me to see that sometimes I overthink and a lot of it is just in my head.
◦ Chapter 2 Journal Entry
◦ Chapter 2 journal entry allowed me to realize that I am my biggest critic. Sometimes I am too hard on
myself and I need to learn to dispute the negative thoughts that come to mind. Instead of being so hard
on myself, I need to recognize what I can do better the next time.
5. Favorite Week
◦ Week 8 was my favorite because it meant we were half way through the semester! I was able to
reflect back on the year so far and see where I stood in all my classes. It gave me a chance to
make any changes if I wasn’t happy with how I was doing so far.
6. 3 Lessons I Will Carry On
◦ Never just study isolated facts.
◦ Make use of your textbook resources, such as quizzes and self-assessments.
◦ Form deeper connections with the material learned in order to recall it better.
7. Self-Assessment
Through this activity I learned that I like to work independently and my scores reflect that. However, even
though I can rely on myself, sometimes it is great tactic to join a study group or get a study partner. The
second time around I became a lot more honest with myself. I learned that it is important to remain honest
with yourself in order to find your weakness and improve them.

8. Grayson Link Career Assignment
◦ The Grayson Link Assignment was one of my favorite overall because it further confirmed what I
wanted to do and where I saw myself in the future. My code is
ECS (Enterprising 19, Conventional 14, Social 12). The two careers I was interested in are Advertising &
Promotions Managers and Public Relations & Fundraising Managers.
◦ I learned that both of these careers have an average national job outlook with new opportunities
listed as likely.
◦ An Advertising & Promotions Manager's salary is listed as $100,810 per year, on average; while a
Public Relations & Fundraising Manager is listed as $107, 320 per year, on average.
◦ Job outlook for both careers are below average in Texas, but increase in other states such as New
York, Illinois, or Washington.
◦ Some basic skills needed are the ability to be able to listen to others, not interrupting, asking good
question and being able to talk to others.
