2. TOP 3 FAVORITE ASSIGNMENTS
• Intro and Type focus Discussion
This was a great way to start the class. I was able to get to know other classmates and
gain insight to their majors. Even though this was an internet class this helped to
break the ice.
• Scavenger Hunt
I never realized how many resources were at my fingertips until this hunt. I am excited
about the writing center since a weak point for me is English. I also found the mock
interview very interesting.
• Grayson Career Link
I found a specialty I did not know existed. Although this specialty was not in my set
goal I think it definitely deserves consideration. I also found out I was investigative
and social. Who knew?!
3. TOP 3 FAVORITE JOURNALS
• My favorite journal was entry 11.
After this exercise I felt invigorated! I had not visualized my goals before this
assignment. This exercise will continue to motivate me.
• Second favorite journal was entry 29.
I appreciated the opportunity to discuss my happiest and lowest memories. After,
writing this journal I spent the rest of the day remembering my papa. This day was
Bittersweet in the best way.
• Third favorite journal was from chapter 2.
In writing about a frustrating experience I realized I portrayed a victim a lot. Bringing
this out in the open was very beneficial. I have since quit blaming others for my
shortcomings.
4. I liked module 2. This was made up of Journal 11-writing/imagining our goals,
learning our Metacognition, Journal 13-time management, and Journal 17-discussing
our obstacles and who or what can help.
This module stood out because I needed to improve my time management and
enjoyed the associated journaling. In discussing my obstacles I realized I am able to
overcome them without issue. I just have to believe I can and make the necessary
choices. I became aware of my own Metacognition and plan to continue to use
Bloom’s theories to improve my critical thinking.
5. • No one can make you feel inferior besides yourself. If you believe you can then no one can stop you. Not even that pesky inner critic.
• Take every experience as a learning experience. Use critical thinking in all you do.
• Make a choice based on what you choose. Not based on what someone is telling you to do.
6. “THERE IS AN EXPIRY DATE ON BLAMING YOUR PARENTS FOR STEERING
YOU IN THE WRONG DIRECTION; THE MOMENT YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH
TO TAKE THE WHEEL, RESPONSIBILITY LIES WITH YOU.”

54 80 Believing in myself
I broadened my outlook on life because of this class. I never realized how often I would place blame on
something or someone other than myself. I’ve learned to take the most of what I have, appreciate it, and
always have a positive outlook. Make my own choices and be confident in life.
7. I would have graduated with my Bachelors degree in Nursing. I will be
working in a hospital setting until my kids graduate high school. I aspire to
continue my education and become a Nurse Practitioner. I hope to become
a travel Nurse Practitioner and be able to see the world while doing what I
love.
8. My family would be there along with me. I will have shown my daughters that advanced learning is hard but beneficial
work.
We would be able to afford a home in a better
area and more room. (more than likely not this
big)
Our daughters will have a bigger choice of
colleges. (possibly this one)
