2. Day 1
In day one we went to Adam Teskeys house to film the scene where the middle
aged Johnny slaps his girlfriend. We filmed this during mid-day in order to get
the perfect lighting for the music video. The filming went smoothly during the
scenes in the kitchen, however there was a many takes due to a lack of
concentration between the actors. We managed to take the shots needed for
the scenes and therefore contribute to our music video. Some of the shots we
took are shown below to give you a sense of how the filming went.
We later went to Lincoln at night in order to film the exterior shots of the
Cathedral and the fighting scene. This is to connote Johnny’s dark side and the
shots we filmed are shown below. The filming at the cathedral went really well
as it was in open space and no one was really around at that time at night
except the odd drunken folk. This enabled us to film all the shots we needed to
create an original media product. We tried taking creative shots with the
cathedral lighting, for example we used the shadows to create effective and
meaningful shots for our music video.
3. Day 2
The second day of filming was at one location which was at Walesby
Church which is located on the hill. The location itself suited our genre of
music video and therefore allowed us to create the shots we needed for
our music video. We had some restrictions within the church for example
the alter was padlocked off so we couldn’t get to it, however there was no
glass windows to it therefore we managed to film the alter through the
gaps in the doors. We managed to take some creative shots for our music
video and some of the shots of shown. This has allowed use to use
different and creative shots in our music video which will therefore link to
the narrative and the storyline as a whole. Therefore this location as a
whole was positive as there were no implications and it allowed for a
smooth day of filming.
4. Day 3
The third day of filming was at two locations one in the day
time and the other during the night period. Both locations
suited our genre of country as they were located in the
countryside therefore there was a lot of greenery and nature
around. The shots we took were creative and linked to our
narrative. For example on the left you will see one shot of
someone walking down a country lane. This allowed use to
transition the narrative and storyline without actually using
the editing software. This therefore allowed us to use the
creative shots in the music video which will allow us to create
an original music video. We used the shopt to the left of
someone flipping the table to connote Johnny angry
through the narrative as this would work well in the overall
music video. Therefore both locations were positive and
allowed use to film critical shots for our music video.
