The role I entailed varieddependingonthe sceneswhenshooting. Imainlyfocussedonthe camera
and wasthe maincameraman whenshootingmostof the footage,howeveronthe oddoccasionI
was broughtintothe footage asan actor playingthe youngestJohnnyoutof the three.This
therefore allowedmypartnertobecome the cameraman as well asbeingthe directorinorderto
allowforprofessionalfootage.Whenitcame to the actinghowever,Itriedtobe onthe camerain
orderto get the correct shotsand sometimesdirectedandcame upwithmyowncreative shots.The
reasonfor thiswasto allowforcontinuityanddifferentperspective frombothmembersof the
team.Furthermore,Ihave takenthe whole of one of the editorsasboth membersof ourteamwill
be editing.Thisrole requiresmyself toimportthe footage we have takenanduse the differentclips
inorder to produce the musicvideowhichincludescreativeshotsandinterlinkthemtocreate our
musicvideoonJohnnyCash.I will use differenttransitionsandeditingtechniquesinordertoperfect
our musicvideoandtherefore getthe grade we want. The role of the camera Operatorrequires
myself torecordthe differentshotsthe directortellsme too,thiswe will thereforeallow myself as
the Camera Operatorto filmcreative shotswhetheritishandheldorsteady andthereforecreate
the footage neededtocreate ourmusicvideo. Asthe CameraOperatorit isessential thatIknow the
Cameraand therefore knowhowtorecordand take differentshotsotherwise if Iwasn’tfamiliar
withthe camera thenwhenitcomesto the post-productionstage the editingcouldbe quite poor.
Lastly,as an actor it wasmy role to playthe youngestJohnnywithinthe musicvideoof ‘GodsGonna
Cut You Down’.Asthe actor it was essentialthatIwas seriousaboutthe role andthat I didwhat the
Directortoldme too otherwise itwouldmake the recordingverydifficultandtherefore we would
come out withpoorfootage forthe editingstage.

The role Adam Teskeyundertook wasthatof a Director,Editorand Actor while producing the music
videoof ‘GodsGonna Cut YouDown’.The Director’srole requiredAdamtohave good
communicational skillsashe had to frequentlygetintouchwiththe otheractors as well asdirecting
and tellingthe cameraoperatorwhatshotshe wants.Furthermore,asthe Directoritwas Adam’s
dutyto ensure thatthere was enoughfootage sowhenitcomestothe editingstage there was
enoughclipstofulfil the whole2minutes50 secondsof song.Secondly,asthe role of an editoritis
requiredof Adamtoimportthe footage we have takenanduse the differentclipsinorderto
produce the musicvideowhichincludesinterlinkingcreativeshotstocreate our musicvideoon
JohnnyCash.He will use differenttransitionsandeditingtechniquesinordertoperfect ourmusic

actor Adam isrequiredtotake the role seriouslyandlistentothe directingfromthe secondary

actingand therefore create aneffective musicvideowhichtargetsthe audience chosenand
therefore allow foracreative andoriginal video.
