same traits as those with higher scores on self esteem scales that the individuals who engage in CNM

The Absurd, By Camus
The philosophy of the Absurd is Camus answer to the question of life and whether it is worth living.
In the opening line of The Myth of Sisyphus, Camus states that there is One truly serious
philosophical problem, and that is suicide. Judging whether life is or is not worth living amounts to
answering the fundamental question of philosophy. (495) Absurdism begins by questioning the
purpose of life and the response, or lack of response from the indifferent silence of the universe. It
reveals the void one might encounter in the search for the meaning of life. (Seniuk 162) Absurdism is
the belief that human life is meaningless, and that it is up to the individual to decide how they will
react to this idea; to find their own meaning or lack of.
Camus suggests that Suicide offers the most basic way out of absurdity. If life has no meaning, then
the only choice would be suicide. Death would then negate any and all human aspiration and
achievements an individual would have. (Baltzer Jaray 12) Though in order not to exaggerate this,
Camus states that In a man s attachment to life there is something stronger than all the ills in the
world. (499) And that We get into the habit of living before acquiring the habit of thinking. (499)

order to move forward in life, it is inevitable to face these fears. Indecisive minds, like Hamlet, can

When people are struggling with making an important decision for their future, they can become
paralyzed by their constant questioning. They question their capabilities and the uncertainty of the
future makes them anxious. This fear is shown in Hamlet s extensive analysis of his situation. He
exhausts every angle of the problem before making a decision. He questions his capability as a leader,
his anxiety taking over his thoughts. In Act I Scene 5, Hamlet states,

Pablo Escobar has been a popular topic lately. From Narcos on Netflix to Andrea s Di Stefano s
underrated Escobar Paradise Lost, cocaine and greed can t get anymore bombastic in the entertainment
zeitgeist. Yet with director Brad Furman s (The Lincoln Lawyer), The Infiltrator, the infamous
Columbian drug load plays only second to agent Robert Mazur (played wonderfully by Bryan
Cranston), the man who brings down the world s largest cartel. It s a refreshing angle on the subject
matter with stellar performances (most notably John Leguizamo s radically different and award
worthy role) to match. Yet, one of the biggest highlights of the film is that of film composer Chris
Hajian s (First Position, Yonkers Joe, The Take) score. Hajian manages to keep the film s music subtle,
but with gravitas to capture the heaviness of the situation at bay. It plays to the trend of synth
percussion, a popular sensation seen everywhere from Cliff Martinez s score in Drive to Kyle Dixon
and Michael Stein of Stranger Things. Sure it plays to the trend, but doesn t get lost in it. Hijian has
