2. Pros And Cons Of Privatization
The basic focus of this essay will be to discuss the benefits and drawbacks of Government owned
companies becoming Privatized and whether it is desirable for all the inefficient firms to go private
linking it with the real world situation of an international firm gone private. Nowadays firms that face
losses and are inefficient go private. The question is whether privatizing a company is a good option?
Will it be able to meet public demands?
The methodology whereby works that were in the past embraced by government are delegated rather
to the private segment (Stiglits 1997). After privatization a company is controlled completely in a
private entity. The privatization system is a piece of the administration s destination of expanding
effectiveness (Spurling 1988). When a business goes private from public its aim change because basic
aim of a business owned by the government is to work for the welfare of the society at the minimum
cost that is why usually they are inefficient where as in private sector efficiency is improved because
basic purpose of a private sector owner is to maximize profit.
The benefits of privatizing a firm play the role of reasons of the conversion. Privatization is proposed
to profit buyer, workers and the economy as an issue (Whitehead 1996). When a firm is privatized the

3. Alternative Sources Of Energy From Fossil Fuels
Each day, advancing technology requires a stable source of fuel to produce the thousands of units of
energy being consumed by it. At present, this energy is derived from various sources with fossil fuels
being the largest by far. According to the United States Energy Information Administration, in 2014
sixty seven percent of the United State s energy was converted from fossil fuels. ( What is U.S.
Electricity Generation by Energy Source? ) Although fossil fuels are able to meet rising energy
demands, they are limited and toxic to this planet. For this reason, U.S. officials have already begun to
consider alternative sources of energy to break America s fossil fuel addiction; namely, liquid fuels
derived from various agricultural crops. However, using agriculture in this way infringes upon the
nation s food supply and the quantity of fuel produced is unable to meet rising fuel demands. Due to
this, a new, dedicated source of energy is needed. One proposed source is microalgae, a microscopic
plant life form that is neither a part of the food supply, or a detriment to the environment. In addition,
microalgae are able to produce copious amounts of liquid fuel in comparison to currently used crops.
America should invest in the production of microalgae for bio fuel to solve issues caused by modern
energy production processes. In the past, there have been significant events that have led to increased
awareness of energy production and the way it affects the planet. James A.

4. Ways To Identify Damaged Wheel Bearings
How to Identify Damaged Wheel Bearings Wheel bearings are prone to damages. An overused car is
more likely to experience a worn out wheel bearing. Sometimes it may be hard to determine and
identify the culprits but you should never ignore any of the signs below. Your bearing s consists of
inner and outer bearings. It allows the wheels of your car to turn right or left. Even though bearings
are covered by a disc, drum, and hub, dirt can still creep up to it. You can check your bearings and
make sure you clean it with the KevianClean Wheel Cleaner. Here are some signs that indicate if your
wheel bearings need replacement. Noise Whether it s a humming, rumbling, clicking or grinding
noise, it usually indicates that your wheel bearing is already damaged. In some cases, you can hear a
metal to metal contact which means that it lacks proper lubrication. Sometimes you can hear it on one
side only while other times, a noise is produced whenever you make a sharp turn. The sound increases
as you drive faster and longer. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

5. Restoration In Louisiana
The New York Times article, Left to Louisiana s Tides, a Village Fights For Time, discusses the plight
of Jean Lafitte, a town of seven thousand people located two miles below the levee protecting New
Orleans. A fourth of Louisiana s wetlands have been lost, much of which is due to intense hurricanes
from 2005 to 2008. It is estimated that a football field worth of wetland disappears every 100 minutes
and that in 200 years the wetlands will be completely gone. This degradation is due to climate change
and human intervention in the area in pursuit of oil and farmland and in the creation of levees. Oliver
A. Houck, a Tulane professor quoted in the article, claims, It is the largest ecological catastrophe in
North America since the Dust Bowl. The loss of the wetlands puts coastal, working class
communities, many of which have lived in the area since the 1800s, in danger of washing away. Local

Obviously, it has been largely ignored in how resources are extracted, leading to the issue of wetland
degradation. Oil drilling and driving boats to and from drills eroded large sections of the wetlands.
However, the issue of degradation cannot be completely solved. The Louisiana state government has
acknowledged that even with its restoration program, it cannot build enough land to offset the losses.
Under the principle of stewardship, we understand that the poor are affected first and worst, which is
clearly seen in coastal Louisiana. Not only are the poor affected more because they often live on the
front lines of environmental decay but also because, as a culture, we rush to protect more affluent
communities first. More resources are allocated to protect New Orleans from flooding than coastal
fishing communities like Jean Lafitte. Within the coastal towns though, residents have upheld
stewardship in their communion with the area and reciprocal understanding of how to care for

6. The Prevalence, Etiology, And Treatment Of Eating Disorders
Eating disorders seem to have become more common during the latter half of the 20th century, during
a period of American beauty icons becoming thinner and women s magazines publishing more articles
on methods for weight loss (Garner, Garfinkel, Schwartz, Thompson, 1980). Dissatisfaction with one s
own body a result of the increasingly thin depictions of female body shapes in the mass media has
been mainly attributed to the Caucasian young female population (Striegel Moore, Silberstein, Rodin,
1986). To date, there has been relatively little empirical research investigating the prevalence, etiology,
and treatment of eating disorders in ethnic minorities. Additionally, studies investigating the direct link
between acculturation of Asian American individuals in Western societies and eating disorder
symptomology have failed to find a consistent correlation. Intuitively, researchers have suggested a
positive relationship between acculturation, the adoption of characteristics, beliefs, ideals and values
of the host culture (Gowen, Hayward, Killen, Robinson, Taylor, 1999), and disordered eating
symptomology in Asian Americans but the studies have yielded mixed findings. Therefore, there
appear to be other factors influencing the development of eating disorder symptomology in Asian
Americans, including self esteem and the drive for thinness.
The purpose of the current project is two fold. First, I will identify the prevalence of eating disorder
symptomology in Asian American

8. Juxtaposition In The Horizontal World
The Horizontal World, as written by Debra Marquart, is the story of an old woman told brilliantly and
realistically, balancing thoughts and emotions that sustain the Midwest amidst the bustle of modern
life. She conveys profound love for the Midwestern region despite it having been dubbed unbearable
and drudging, for those who first approached it... What has been considered flyover states host plain,
yet beautiful, landscapes and produce blonde, fresh faced, and midwestern actresses; only to make
their descent into ruthless behavior in places like Los Angeles and New York all the more tragic.
Where there are skyscrapers and nightclubs, there also resides gambling, false identities, and those
trying their luck with the latest opioid. Marquart characterizes the upper Midwest as an entity whose
landscape is bland and dull, yet orderly and structured. She employs juxtaposition, varied diction, and
dependence on historical figures impressions to relay her characterization. ... Show more content on

states to the West. By creating such a stark contrast, she emphasizes the upper Midwest s flat
landscape. Her juxtaposition conjures images of flat squares compared to mountainous and majestic
landscapes. She also juxtaposes how it was easy to subdivide the Midwestern states for The Land
Ordinance of 1785, whereas the expedition was foiled by the difficult terrain of other states. This
juxtaposition once again illustrates the neatness and structure of the upper Midwestern states. It is a

are characterized by cultural identities. In Thomas chapter there was an emphasis on how individuals
view themselves, particularly in regards to associated cultural stigmas. Sofaer claims that the body is
the major archeological source with cultural characteristics.

However The Body as an Archeological Resource , seemed to be more focused on the archeological
aspects of how bodies are understood and analyzed in archeology for the bigger picture. Archaeology
s Humanism and the Materiality of the Body was more a philosophical debate about how people
perceive archeology and seemed to be very negative and cynical. The second reading tied more into
the overall significance of the class as it highlights how people are understood in the global and
overall context. The first reading, which began by emphasizing that cultural identifiers should be
removed when analyzing humans, did not make sense to me. Our personalities are shaped by who we
are in society and how we have made a change. If the cultural associations were removed from
Alexander the Great, he would no longer be known as the great divine ruler. Furthermore, the
Holocausts was not just caused by a man who wanted power, rather a man who did not like a specific

History remembers King Henry VIII and his many wives. Very few remember his first wife, Catherine
of Aragon. She was known as being quite beautiful and a great queen. Despite how poorly treated she
was Catherine remained strong. The beloved Catherine of Aragon was the most remarkable queen due
to the way she led her kingdom.
Catherine, First Queen of King Henry VIII, daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain,
was born at Alcala de Henares on the 15 or 16 of December 1485. She is the youngest in her family of
five, which includes one son and four daughters. She was also the youngest of the surviving children
of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. When her mother was pregnant with Catherine she would
travel in hot spring and scorching summers to be with the army, and unfortunately Queen Isabella lost
many children because of the conditions that she traveled in. Catherine was seven when her parents
defeated the Moors. Catherine grew up during the Spanish inquisition, which explained why her
mother went wherever the army went. Catherine was also the youngest daughter of one of Europe s
most famous power couple. Since her parents were a power couple it made the children to be desired
and married too. Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand marriage had united Spain under one rule.

The definition of coming of age refers to the hardships and achievements in a young person s life. It is
the gradual development of a person and who they become. Sophia Bush plays the character, Brooke
Davis, in the show One Tree Hill. Brooke Davis is the character most girls can easily relate to. Sophia
Bush says her favorite part of the character she plays is her evolution . She starts off as a stereotypical
teenage cheerleader who seeks to be the center of attention and her happiness revolves around money.
Throughout the beginning of the series, Brooke is a young, carefree girl who is rambunctious. She
constantly went to parties and had many sexual relations with numerous amounts of boys. Emily
states, I hated her in the beginning because she was always trying to stir the pot, always creating
drama. Even though it may have appeared her life was not complicated, the many obstacles she faced
helped her transition from childhood to adulthood. She grows into a more sophisticated and grounded
young woman. Brooke Davis is introduced as the captain of the cheerleading team. She has a strong
friendship with Peyton Sawyer, who she calls her best friend. They have been best friends since
childhood. After helping Peyton cope with the death of her mother, their relationship grew and it
started to resemble more of a sister like relationship. Their friendship has always been very strong

13. Original Affluent Society
To be honest, I am not sure there is a better definition , as both terms have at least a part to play in the
term of Hunter Gatherer . For example, in Sahlins article, Original Affluent Society it is mentioned
that the hunter gatherer is seemingly always on the brink of starvation, yet expends very little energy
in their way of life (Sahlins 2006: 79). So, there is a huge positive, as well as a huge negative. In the
Woodburn article, it is said that in some forms of hunter gatherer (where the return is immediate,
rather than delayed) societies there is a greater distribution of wealth, of power, and of prestige. These
are what he referred to as egalitarian societies (Woodburn, 1982). That would indicate a huge positive.

egalitarian societies of the hunter gatherer aspect of human culture make up the better of the two
definitions. While Sahlins speaks of the highlights of nomadic life, the focus (from my perspective)
seems to be on the fact that they use very little energy in relation to civilized man . This focus I feel

14. The Hacked World Order Summary
The world as we know it is becoming more and more interconnected technologically. A mere decade
or so ago, the internet and the idea that people would spend much of their lives on it was an alien
concept, only floated by nerds and futurologists. However, as the internet and computers came into
their own, the brief, almost carefree toward computer and the internet faded quickly, to be replaced by
a more measured and cautious attitude of realism. This is because, like every other piece of
technology, every nation in the world immediately took computers and started attempting to
understand how to use them for their own personal/national gain. In The Hacked World Order, the
author, Adam Segal explores how nations incorporate computers and the technology of the 21st
century into their arsenal and utilize them both against and for each other. Segal does this way that
appeals to the average person, but if approaching the book from an academic standpoint an extremely
cautious attitude is in order when exploring the different arguments the book makes. ... Show more

that cyberwarfare and computers present new angles of conflict from conventional weaponry such as

15. Conversion Of Sto Analysis
Conversion of St. Paul (or The Road to Damascus ) was painted by Italian Baroque artist
Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio for the church of Santa Maria del Popolo in Rome. It tells the
story of St. Paul conversion. As we know from the bible, and St. Paul s letters, Saul (St. Paul) was on
his way to Damascus to prosecute Christians when he was blinded by light/ spirit from heaven. He fell
to the ground, and the spirit asked him: Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? (Acts 9: 1 6).
Conversion of St. Paul took place in noon and on the desert so it must have been really bright and
sunny, but on Caravaggio s painting we see different scene. Background is dark, as if the event took
place at night. Caravaggio uses chiaroscuro to emphasize St. Paul ecstasy. The servant and the horse
are plunged in darkness. The artist wanted to get the feeling of contrast between light from the sky and
ordinary background, which is dark. Caravaggio gave up painting God and angels instead he painted
presence of God in divine light. There is a dramatic contrast between supernatural light and ordinary
darkness. Paul young, beautiful and ecstatic persona is countered with very realistic image of a servant
and a horse. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Who can understand modern warfare?
War has without a doubt changed extremely from what the term originally meant. War is already hard
to define, according to Clausewitz, war is an act of force intended to compel our opponents to fulfil
our will... a continuation of political intercourse with a mixture of other means (Michael Sheehan,
2014, 217). More specifically, war was between countries/states and it involved open armed conflict.
But war cannot be defined like this anymore in our modern times.
With open conflict between nations and non nation organizations, for example the War on Terrorism,
the definition above is no longer fully true. A better definition would be Hedley Bull s, organised
violence carried on by political units against each other (Michael Sheehan, 2014, 218). Thus if the
definition of war and how it s waged in the 21st century changed, theoretical approaches best suited
conceptually and analytically that can explain and understand modern war has also changed.
Ironically, the theoretical approaches that seem to be best suited to understand and explain modern
war are two of the oldest theoretical theories; Realism and Liberalism. But which of these two is more
applicable; both have their strengths in relation to understanding and explaining modern conflict, but
Liberalism is bar

Do you ever take your lunch anywhere? Have any of your food products ever been wasted, destroyed,
or damaged in any way due to the unstable or heavier items in your meal? Secondly, let s say when
you go into a restaurant, would you want your entree to come out squashed or crushed? Food
protection is an enormous problem. Food is one of the key ingredients needed for life, so why do
people not protect it like they protect themselves or how they protect others? Food protection is the
action of not allowing any items in the meal to be harmed or for the consumer to be harmed from
eating the meal. Food protection is not a legal law in the United States, yet if the government teaches
the importance of food protection and why it is needed, children in the United States would have
much better health habits, such simple habits such as washing their hands before eating or washing off
their produce before people eat it can help. Simple habits like that could change all of America, so
why does the government not teach children about food protection? Let me talk to you about food
protection.
School
A common place where food protection should be applied most is at school. Most people go to school,
so it should be a key place to teach information about food protection. Matthew Molina, a student
attending Arnall Middle School, he is not happy with how his food is protected from his lunch box
because well, you will find out. We asked Matthew, Do you think your lunch box provides protection
for your food? and guess what he said, No. Next, the interviewer asked another student, Alexa Van
Veghten, who is also a student attending Arnall, who brings her own lunch to school every day. Do
your plastic containers protect your lunch? the interviewer asked. Alexa answered, No, because the
food gets crushed when my lunch box moves. Then container moves making the food bang up against
the side of the lunch box causing the food to become crushed. So do containers really protect your
food? Maybe that is a question you should ask yourself. Also, if a child s lunchbox has a plastic
interior, don t you think if the containers were also made of plastic, in which would do the same
damage to the food from banging against

24. The Effects Of Excessive Unhealthy Food Intake
One of America s top leading problems in the 21st century is caused by vast amounts of unhealthy
food which leads to not only obesity, but other health related issues such as diabetes and other heart
conditions. There are many fingers to be pointed at who to blame for this problem, whether it be
government s fault or just personal responsibility. Most of the problems faced by the United States,
such as obesity and diabetes, are the consequences of excessive unhealthy food intake. So many
people in today s society settle for the easiest and quickest way to get food, and usually end up at a
fast food restaurant. Fast food is ridiculously cheap and easy to get. Little do they know, the food they
are consuming is full of saturated fats, salts, and sugars which is very unhealthy. Fast food chains are
known for their appeal to teenagers and kids, the risk of making children sick and unhealthy, and how
it is easy to afford the cheap food they offer.
Fast food chains such as McDonald s and Burger King can be very appealing to children and teenagers
in the 21st century. Both McDonald s and Burger King both have a mascot so to speak; a clown and a
king. In advertisements by both companies, both mascots are urging consumers to buy their product
because that is what they do. If the cool mascot does it, then nothing else matters. McDonald s,
especially, is the biggest appeal to children in all of fast food chains. They have Ronald McDonald, a
big indoor play scape, and they

25. Universal Design For Learning Within Educational Environments
Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening
of respect for human rights... promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all... (The
United Nations, 1948). As emphasised by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, education is an
inalienable right, and until it is proven that a student will not benefit from or is not stimulated by being
in school, it must be assumed that they are gaining some value from the experience. Indoctrinated
within Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework is the need for teachers to shift from
primarily hosting students with additional educational needs, to extensively engaging them in a
fruitful education. Under the principles of Universal Design for Learning, educators venture to create
these meaningful learning experiences as a result of employing innovative educational mechanisms
that ensure the participation of everyone. This essay aims to explore the invaluable effect of
incorporating the elements of Universal Design for Learning within educational environments, with
specific reference to the English curriculum.
Understanding Universal Design and Universal Design for Learning
Universal Design is an enduring and innovative design process that enables and empowers a diverse
population by improving human performance, health and wellness, and social participation (Steinfeld
Maisel, 2012). The original Principles of Universal Design were created in the late nineties by

26. Diet Is The Right Fit
This table provides a quick glance at what each diet provides.
With this information someone can choose which diet he would like to try. Each person is different
and has different tastes so not everyone will pick the same one of these options. Once the choice is
made based on personal preferences the person should take a few months before deciding how he feels
about the diet. This amount of time is long enough for a habit to form. Habits generally take 21 days
to form but this time span also allows the person to see if they get the result they want and decide what
they think about it. If the person feels like the diet he choose is more of a burden but still wants to try
other diets, he should go back to evaluating the information he originally found and choose another
one. He can continue to do this until he found the diet that is the right fit for him and does not feel like
a chore, or until he thinks it is too much of a high involvement. One of our group members showed
high involvement when looking into each diet. Since it was something she did not know about she put
in information to see the results she would get for each diet.
For each diet she put in her age, 21, height, 5 5 , current weight,145 lbs, and weight goals,130 lbs. The
Atkins diet did require more information like what size her waist was, if she was pregnant or
breastfeeding, no, if she was prediabetic or diabetic, no, and if she prefered a more flexible diet or a
strict diet, flexible. Based on her

27. Unindigenous Species
The Introduction of nonindigenous Species The most important aspect of a government is their ability
to be able to decide for the people. One major decision that comes from the government is whether or
not non indigenous species should be transferred to another country. Since invasive species tend to
result in negative impacts rather than beneficial ones, stricter regulations should be put into effect to
avoid the possibility of unintended negative consequences because of the harm that could come out of
the transfer at the end. Yet, introduced species could be major improvements in some aspects,
therefore these stricter regulations should be based upon important studies and considerations. As a
result, the most important consideration that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since an invasive species can be any kind of newly introduced living organism then it would be hard
to determine what risk there would be from the introduction and what they would result in since,
Approximately 42% of Threatened or Endangered species are at risk primarily due to invasive species
(Source A). This shows that the introduction between these species have either not been thought out
well or nothing has been done to prevent these threats. Since the protection of the native specie and
the ability of the non native specie to adapt to the new environment is a crucial factor for a good
encounter, the results must first be calculated as accurate as possible in order for the government to
base the decision upon because the non native species will endanger the native specie if it becomes
more dominant. Therefore, the habitat and food cycle of the native species must also be studied in
order to prevent any altercations because they are considered one of the most impacted areas when the
defence system of the native species is off. As a result, transferring the non indigenous specie into the
habitat of a native specie will only be beneficial if there is balance in their ability to defend themselves

San Bernardino, California Shooting The United States has had over 350 mass shootings in 2015

seems to be at random. There have been a number of mass shootings that have made the news
worldwide like; the mass shooting at a black church in S.C and the mass shooting in Texas that left
over 20 individuals dead or injured. There are several reasons why a mass shooting may occur. The
most recent mass shooting happened this month in California and it happened at a home for the

29. Occlusal Sealing Essay
Introduction:
Although the prevalence of dental caries has decreased worldwide, the incidence
of dental caries on
the occlusal surface of posterior teeth is still increasing (2). It
represents 90% of the carious lesion
occurring in the oral cavity (3). This may be related to
natural anatomy of pits and fissures providing
protective sh sites for food entrapment and
bacterial development. This means that the tooth brushing
which is the gold standard of
proper oral hygiene measure will not be able to prevent development of
occlusal caries.
Different therapeutic interventions have been proposed for prevention of initial
occlusal caries. These

infection is suspected, a definitive answer from the lab is needed before prescribing medications. In
this instance a yellow sputum was produced by the patient, which will be taken to the lab an analyzed

for each specimen.

Next the slide is washed with a decolorizing agent, which removed color from gram negative cells.
Finally, the slide is washed again and stained with a counterstain, such as safranin. The counterstain
will dye the gram negative cell and will not effect the gram positive cell.
It is known that Mycoplasma pneumonia causes pneumonia. Escherichia coli causes diseases such as
urinary tract infections and gastro intestinal problems from diarrhea to dysentery like conditions
(Madigan). Finally, Bacillus is known for Bacillus cereus, commonly known as food poisoning. To
help with the process of elimination a very general comparison of each bacteria may be found below:

31. Dna Profiling And The Criminal Justice System
In November of 1983, 15 year old Lynda Mann was found raped and murdered on a deserted road, and
although police were able to obtain a semen sample from her murderer the case remained unsolved. In
1986 the killer struck again murdering 15 year old Dawn Ashworth, once again leaving behind semen,
but this time the police were able to use DNA profiling to match the semen to a suspect. Colin
Pitchfork became the first person to be caught based on mass DNA screening, and the first to be
convicted based on DNA profiling. The use of Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) in the criminal justice
system has greatly tipped the scales in favor of law enforcement, and changed the world that we live
in. Court cases that in the past relied heavily on eye witness testimony and circumstantial evidence
now have science to back them up. DNA analysis has revolutionized the criminal justice system, and
even though there are some flaws, the use of DNA evidence should continue to be used by law
enforcement. While DNA profiling is still considered to be fairly new , the analysis of the human
genetic variation began more than a century ago with the discovery of the human ABO blood group.
Karl Landsteiner realized that these variations in humans could be used to solve crimes. ABO could be
used to exclude suspects, but police needed something that could definitively point the finger at a
suspect. In 1984, Alec Jeffreys discovered hypervariable loci, also known as minisatellites. He

During the archaic period, the Greeks stopped using wood as their primary building material. Instead,
they used stone, preferable marble, to make their large buildings. Hence the birth of stone in Greek
structures. The stone was very durable and had superior strength, unlike the wood. The Greeks cut the
stone to form columns. According to Mark Cartwright(2012) from Ancient History Encyclopedia The
columns were an architectural invention, which allowed for the support of ceilings without the use of
wood to walls. Without solid walls, the larger buildings would have more sources of light. Columns
were used primarily for Greek temples, such as the Parthenon which displayed a great use of columns.

33. Values Of Christianity In Beowulf
There are certain values that change and remain the same after a 1000 year. Values is a person s
principles or standards of behavior; one s judgment of what is important in life. One of the values
would be Christianity for example, this value is the religion based on the person and teachings of
Jesus of Nazareth, or its beliefs and practices. Another value would be culture, which means the arts
and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively. Christianity has
played a big role in the Anglo Saxon, at the time majority were believers. In Beowulf it says
Afterwards a boy child was sent to Shield, a cub in the yard, a comfort sent by God to that nation. He
knew what they had tooled, the long times and troubles they d come through without a leader; so the
Lord of Life, the glorious Almighty, made this man renowned. (12 17) Throughout Beowulf, whenever
any great men manage to achieve heroic feats, the narrator will be careful to attribute their prowess to
God s favor and divine plan. Christianity is still the same in today s world, me being a Christian I can
relate to Beowulf because like Beowulf I acknowledge God as my protector. I also believe that early
success, given by God, must be treated with humbleness. This value is still a value today after a 1000

35. John Locke And Thomas Hobbes
By comparing the two readings assigned one can discuss the differences in political theories expressed
by both John Locke and Thomas Hobbes. In, Leviathan, by Thomas Hobbes, and in, The Second
Treatise of Government, by John Locke different theories of political legitimacy and definitions of the
state of nature are described. The following paragraphs analyze multiple different points that are
imperative to understanding these political theories.
In the reading, Leviathan, Thomas Hobbes discusses what human existence is in the state of nature
and the state of war. As it is described, the state of nature explains how men were made equal in the
faculties of the body and mind. To quote, as though there be found one man sometimes manifestly
stronger in body or of quicker mind than another; yet when all is reckoned together the difference
between man, and man, is not so considerable, as that one man can thereupon claim to himself, as well
as he. Here, Hobbes is explaining his definition and meaning of the state of nature explaining that
even though one may have a strength compared to another, it all is balanced out in the end. Each of us
have our individual flaws and strength that constitute our character. Hobbes also notes how humans
inherently have a state of greed and savagery. The state of war in human existence is also examined in
this article. Hobbes states, And from this diffidence of one another, there is no way for any man to
secure himself, so reasonable, as

establishes Carton as a representation of the ego. However, as the novel progresses, Dickens makes
Carton s use of ego transition from subconscious to conscious, as a result of his relationship with
Lucie and his deeper commitment to societal values. The latter was especially shown through his

credit is not the goal. The goal is faithfulness, progress, success, change, or resolution depending on
the situation. It does not matter who gets the credit so long as the job gets done. I love and respect my
leader so very much. I also take joy on those occasions where he says or initiates something over

the aims described in the previous point. Buddy Hackett once said that while you carry the grudge the
other guy is out dancing. What does that mean? It means you only hurt yourself and not only do you
become an anchor holding back your organization but you also become the anchor to your own
personal development and effectiveness. You will get hurt and when it happens you must work

Introduction
Recurrent erythema multiforme (EM) is an uncommon skin condition with unclear etiology
considered to be a hypersensitivity reaction presenting commonly in young adults with distinctive

therapies or immunosuppressive agents in more extreme cases. We present a case of recurrent EM in a
young adult that resolved completely after treatment with Otezla (apremilast), an oral medication
originally developed for the treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Case report
A 21 year old African American female with a history of recurrent skin lesions on lips, tongue and soft
palate for over ten years. She was initially diagnosed at age 6 with Behcet s syndrome due to presence
of recurrent oral and genital ulcers as well as joint pain and swelling. She stated that she has about six
episodes per year with recurrence after treatment. For acute episodes, she was given treatment with
prednisone for management of oral and genital lesions, which has been used intermittently. She was
additionally treated with colchicine, dapsone and hydroxychloroquine with no response. It is unclear
when these treatments were administered or for what duration the patient adhered to these regimens.

longer lifespan, have more reliable hardware, are less likely to crash or get viruses, have better
security features, it s very easy to transfer all your files from a PC to a Mac, and a Mac can be a PC if
you really wanted it too. But I will explain that last one later. First, I will tell you about how the build

could harm a Mac. Apple does admit they have come across some security flaws, but within a day of
the flaws discovery Apple creates a security update, and every single Mac user gets a notification from
Apple saying that there is a flaw and an update available that can correct it. And personally, I think
one of the reasons Mac is so successful is because of their hardware. For example, lets pretend I
