Who Is To Blame For Eva s Death Essay
An inspector calls was written by John Priestly in 1945, a play writer who was born during the height
of the industrial revolution. John was very passionate about the gap between the rich and the poor but
more importantly about the fact that the rich refused to take responsibility form them.
J. B. Priestley was a socialist. He was a vehement political commentator and playwright. He wrote
plays for radio broadcasts so that he could reach a wider audience. Priestley was a main contributor to
the foundation of the welfare system: NHS, free education and other help to the poor.
The play spotlights around the Birling family who are spending a happy evening celebrating the
engagement of Sheila Birling to Gerald Croft. This engagement is seen as a business marriage by
Arthur Birling, which will result in the merging of two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sybil is an established rich who is cold, selfish, irresponsible and neglective. She rejects Eva s cry for
help without question and second thought the girl with her granddaughter. This shows she is
dismissive and she also dismisses the accusation for Eva s death at the end. The reason Mrs. Birling is
to blame is the fact that she has the most diverse form of responsibility due to it being her job to help
people and to judge them fairly. Although, Eva used Mrs. Birling s name, she should have listened to
what Eva had to say thus if she hadn t turned her away, then Eva wouldn t have been coerced to
suicide. Mrs. Birling knew the girl was pregnant when she turned her down. Mrs. Birling then points
out that she was not the one who sacked the girl from the factory and that the girl knew whom the
father was but claimed she did not know. She says, Unlike the other three, I did nothing I m ashamed
of or that won t tolerate investigation , this shows she s still quite certain she didn t do anything
wrong. Mrs. Birling proclaims her prejudiced mind at the start by saying, Girls of that

Siddhartha Symbolism
In Siddhartha, a book written by Hermann Hesse used symbolism to highlight the theme of the story
which was that some things can not be taught they must be experienced. He shows this theme by
providing examples in the story such as, Om, Buddha, Rebirth and The River. Siddhartha is a book
about the spiritual journey that the main character went through in order to reach his enlightenment. In
the book he goes through a lot of trial and error when trying to find his inner self . In the beginning
Siddhartha, along with his friend Govinda are Brahmans together but he feels as if he has nothing left
to learn. Later he goes through three years with the Samanas but also leaves to learn more about
Buddha when he feels that he is not making any progress. Govinda is immediately taken by Buddha
and his teachings but Siddhartha chooses to keep looking for something else because although he
respected Buddha he did not feel as if he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And in the moment when the sound of Om touched Siddhartha s ear, his dormant spirit suddenly woke
up and realized the foolishness of his actions. The om symbolizes what Siddhartha wanted to learn
when it came to enlightenment. It signifies the unity of the soul and the body as well as body with the
world. Happily, Vasudeva s face was smiling, he bent over to Siddhartha and spoke the holy Om into
his ear. And this had been the very thing which Siddhartha had also been hearing, when Vasudeva
teaches Siddhartha ways to be enlightened, the om plays a big part because it is something that he has
always used. He is not taught how to use the om but rather experienced it. As shown in the first quote,
it was a subconscious thing to use the om when

Online Music On The Internet
I will choose to evaluate the topic You, the D.J. (online music movies to the cloud) which is written by
Sasha Frere Jones. A D.J. or ˜Disk jockey is someone that conducts a program of recorded music on
the radio, television or at clubs and other dance halls. They introduce and play CD s or records on
record players. The history of the disc jockey actually begins in the nineteenth century when Thomas
Edison invents the phonograph, the precursor to the record player. Before, the only way to enjoy
music is by going to a live performance or making it yourself. With the phonograph, people could now
listen to their favorite music from the comfort of their homes but I believed that now a day people like

hours a week that an average American spends listing to music, only three of it is stuff you own. The
rest is radio. So I read the book I found that in this essay, people had different media to listen the
songs through internet like Pandora. Pandora Internet radio, often known simply as Pandora is an
automated music recommendation service and custodian of the Music. We can add variety by
suggesting what other artists would like to hear. Pandora will briefly pause its streaming for a
commercial or two from its sponsors feature that can be disabled by upgrading to a premium account
for a nominal fee I think so. I came to know that the most popular alternative to the broadcast model is
on demand that is Spotify which was Swedish company. One of the biggest demand player is MOG, a
new service that offers a wide array of listening the option and also less expensive, and the highest
digital quality which I think is good and become a D.J. our self.
A friend and I was discussing the merits of the streaming music service. Pandora and Spotify. I am a
longtime Pandora subscriber. My friend uses Spotify and thinks I should, too.
Both services have free and paid accounts. Free users get ads. Paid users don t have to endure ads, and
the stream quality is better. The two services do differ. Let s look at the paid versions. Pandora has a

The Effects Of Social Media On Corporate Bad News And A...
Social media has become prominently popular. Tens of millions of users login to social media sites
like Twitter to disseminate breaking news and share their opinions and thoughts. For businesses, social
media is potentially useful for monitoring the public perception and the social reputation of companies
and products. Despite great potential, how bad news about a company influences the public sentiments
in social media has not been studied in depth. The aim of this study is to assess people s sentiments in
Twitter upon the spread of two types of information: corporate bad news and a CEO s apology. We
attempted to understand how sentiments on corporate bad news propagate in Twitter and whether any

experience a serious and global damage in its reputation due to the spread of bad news in social media
is Domino s Pizza. The crisis started when two employees produced and uploaded a vulgar YouTube
video in 2009. Within a few days, the video gained more than half a million views, major news media
covered the event, and people started to discuss the incident on social media. Domino s soon released
a YouTube video where its CEO apologized and explained the situation. We paid attention to the
Domino s crisis in Twitter, because from the beginning to the end the medium played a central role in
spreading both the bad news and the apology. First, the crisis started in YouTube, but soon it was
picked up by users in various social media sites. Twitter was one of the key places where discussions
took place. Based on our estimation, more than 15,000 Twitter users posted a message about the event,
Second, Domino s apologized on Twitter by sharing a link to its CEO s apology on YouTube. This
study makes three contributions. First, we demonstrate the benefits of analyzing the actual social
media conversations on a crisis situation. Before social media existed, it was extremely

Pest Analysis Of Walmart
Several years ago, I was the Director of HR Strategy for Walmart US. As a component of one of my
early projects, and being fairly new to the organization, I was asked to conduct a PEST of the
organization based on my team s perspective. As a retail industry leader, Walmart continues to
withstand the potential negative effects of threats in the political, economic, sociocultural, and
technological (PEST) aspects of its business. However, this success requires continued evaluation of
the retail industry environment and constant investment in risk mitigation strategies and processes.
These PEST factors also change over time, and since it has been years for me since being there, I fresh
look is required. These constant changes may present new threats or opportunities that were otherwise
not contemplated before (i.e. the Amazon effect). Walmart must exploit the opportunities and protect
itself from threats. In using the PEST analysis, Walmart leaders and managers can determine which
factors to prioritize in strategy development. Let s look at each of the four factors in our further
analysis.
Political Factors Are there any other political factors that are likely to change? Walmart considers
political factors in the retail and employment markets, usually pertaining to government policies and
employment law. In the PEST analysis model, politically active interest groups are also significant in
how Walmart reacts to this aspect. For the most part, politics that would

The President Of The Vice President
The New Vice President. In the case study of the new vice president, Jennifer was appointed interim
Vice President for a 3 year term at Mid West University. After the interim, the President reluctantly
appointed her the role of Vice President of the University. Jennifer has devoted her entire career to
Mid West University. She was initially hired as an Introductory History instructor. While teaching
history, she earned her PH.D and became Assistant Professor due to her popularity and excellent
teaching ability. Jennifer was involved in various activities on campus such as forming the first union,
acquiring grants, writing skits for the faculty club s annual follies and generally offering her support to
anyone who needed her assistance. She became President of the Faculty Senate where she served two
years before being offered the position of Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs where for the
next ten years she handled most of the academic complaints, oversaw several committees and wrote
letters and reports for the then Vice President. As the new Vice President of the University Jennifer
encountered many issues. Jennifer failed her responsibilities as a leader, and most importantly as the
new vice president elected. As leader you must be able to set clear visions, motivate, guide, and build
others. Clearly Jennifer did not understand her role as the new vice president. She had problems

Business Organization For Family Farm Operations
Family Farm Operations

Abstract
As an accountant, I will be selecting the best form of business organization for family farm operations
that can offer various problems to professional attorneys. Family farms with a lot of land space are
typically held as a major asset. Furthermore, there are issues that would most likely to occur when the
farm is passed to family heirs, which can take a major toll on the business and estate planning
attorney. In 1988 the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) classified a limited liability company in
Wyoming as a partnership for federal income tax reasons, since then all 50 states and the District of

Alex, Bill, Carl, and Devon s father ran the business as a sole proprietorship, but they want to form a
business entity to own the farm. I am going to be their accountant to help run their business the proper
way and right way as Christians should. They are trying to avoid a lot of paperwork, but they also
want to allow their cousin Xavier to handle the day to day operations of the farm. Additionally, they
want to know ways to minimize their taxes on the entity. They want to keep this a family business;
they do not want a stranger owning any part of their business. I think this can be a great thing if their
family is on one accord and want to expand the business. When you start having outsiders, they could
come in a try to turn things around within the business and make a lot of unnecessary changes. With
Xavier being their cousin, I think they have a plan that will make the business successful.
As stated above, in this case the form of business organization used by the deceased father is a sole
proprietorship. A sole proprietor is someone who owns an unincorporated business by himself or
herself (Sole Proprietorship, 2015). This form of business organization is a business in which one
person is in control of the management and profits. A sole proprietorship has its disadvantages and
advantages. With being a sole proprietor, you have complete control of the management of the
business. Everything is left in your

The Importance Of Forgivenesstion In Shakespeare s The...
William Shakespeare once said, Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none , when he said that he was
saying that love everyone no matter what they are; to not trust many people only those with pure
intentions; and to never do evil to others. The last play that he wrote was The Tempest after that he
helped write a few others. This play is not like the classical tragedy plays that Shakespeare wrote
where everyone died at the end; on contrary, this is a story where revenge is an option, but forgiveness
is ultimately shown. This play has many non human characters; one of them is Caliban. He calls
himself the king of the island. Shakespeare uses Caliban to show forgiveness and reconciliation, and
also to show confinement and freedom.
Shakespeare uses Caliban s relationship with Prospero to show forgiveness and reconciliation.
Forgiveness are very difficult to give, but when the person that is not forgiving stays with the other
person for a long time forgiveness can be awarded with time. At the end of the poem when Prospero,
exhausted, is talking to everyone about how he is forgiving them for their wrong deeds. Thus, at the
end of his speech Prospero is forgiving Caliban for what he did to his family he say to him,
PROSPERO. He is as disproportioned in his manners As in his shape. (To Caliban) Go, sirrah, to my
cell; Take with you your companions. As you look To have my pardon, trim it handsomely.
(Shakespeare 5.1)
At first Prospero diction is harsh towards Caliban by

How Stressful Life Experiences Affect A Child s Emotional...
This annotated bibliography covers six journal, reports and articles associated with the subject of how
stressful life experiences can affect a child s emotional development, what role the schools play in a
child s emotional development and how there is a need for the Department of Education to
commission a sector body to develop a framework of core content for initial teacher training (ITT),
which should include child and adolescent development.
A child s emotional development is a complex, multifaceted process and one which many interaction
partners play a role. To teach effectively, trainee teachers need to understand child development
expectations at different stages of development together with issues that can have an impact on the
child s progress.
The research literature has accentuated the association between stressful experiences and
psychological dysfunction in children and evidence has been found which suggests that there is a need
for continuity across Initial teacher training institutes. ITT should be an environment for new teachers
to learn from the best teachers, introducing them to essential skills, knowledge and understanding that
all teachers require in order to continuously improve the opportunities and outcomes of young people.
The authors of this study compared the judgements of trainee teachers with the responses of young
children regarding their perceptions of student stress. The study compiled questions such as: Does
teaching experience have an

The Santerí
a Religion and South Florida
Santería is a newly recognized religion within the United States. Many Americans who practice more
traditional religions, such as Catholicism, and Judaism, find the practice of Santeria very odd and
quite obscure. The preponderance of our society feels that the practice of animal sacrifice, prevalent in
Santeria, is immoral and possibly offensive. One reason for this reaction could be that there is a major
lack of understanding of this religion in our society.
Many people that do not practice this religion automatically assume that the religion is some sort of
horrible cult in which people simply slaughter animals. In interviews with people that live near the
Lukumí Babalú Ayé Church, published in The Miami Herald, terrible remarks have ... Show more

In one situation, a man living near the aforementioned church states, I don t like the idea of animal
sacrifices; that should have gone out with the Middle Ages. If my dog disappears, I ll know where he s
gone (May 1). This statement shows how people assume problems with the church, without respecting
the rituals practiced by the followers. Ernesto Pichardo, the president of the Lukumí Babalú Ayé
Church, replies to that man s remark by saying, If the dog is missing, please don t blame us. We
certainly don t use pets (May). According to another disgruntled church neighbor, I m gonna bitch like
hell, if it starts to smell over there. We ll call the Health Department (Morcate).
Based on the previous statements, one can see that many people in the community have almost hostile
opinions towards the practice of this particular religion. For one, when Hialeah City Council president,
Herman Echevarría, first learned about the church back in May of 1987, he said, I m not the type that
interferes with anyone s religious beliefs as long as they don t hurt anybody else. I m not crazy about
[Santería] either, but if everything they re doing complies with the laws and ordinances or the city, I m
not one to go out and protest or make waves about what they re doing (May).
This is the type of response that many of the open minded people in the community give when asked
about their views on Santería. The major

Cause Of Biodiversity
The main cause of the loss of biodiversity can be attributed to the influence of human beings on the
world s ecosystem, In fact human beings have deeply altered the environment, and have modified the
territory, exploiting the species directly, for example by fishing and hunting, changing the
biogeochemical cycles and transferring species from one area to another of the Planet.
The threats to biodiversity can be summarized in the following main points: o Alteration and loss of
the habitats: the transformation of the natural areas determines not only the loss of the vegetable
species, but also a decrease in the animal species associated to them. o Introduction of exotic species
and genetically modified organisms: species originating from a particular area, introduced into new
natural environments can lead to different forms of imbalance in the ecological equilibrium. o
Pollution: human activity influences the natural environment producing negative, direct or indirect,
effects that alter the flow of energy, the chemical and physical constitution of the environment and
abundance of the species; o Climate change: for example, heating of the Earth s surface affects
biodiversity because it endangers all the species that adapted to the cold due to the latitude (the Polar
species) or the altitude (mountain species). o Overexploitation of resources: when the activities
connected with capturing and harvesting (hunting, fishing, farming) a renewable natural resource in a

patients are taken care of and that the doctors are being informed of any changes with the patient.
I want to get a phone call immediately of any changes, not reading about it in a daily progress
note. As for payers, this is a tricky relationship to build. Many health organizations try to build
relationship with their area representative with the insurance carriers they participate with. I
know, when I was doing credentialing for a health organization I built a relationship with the
area representative to help me out with any credentialing issues and contract issues. By building
this relationship, when issues did arise I was able to speak with the representative. I was also
able to put the patients mind at ease by letting them know I was speaking to a direct
representative with their insurance company and not just a customer service representative. Also
by building this relationship, I am better able to address any questions or concerns regarding
specific plans without having to direct them to the 800 number on the back of their card.

Describe The Role That Balanced Diet And Vitamins Play In...
Most articles on health and fitness stress the role that balanced diet and vitamins play in maintaining
good health. There s a great deal of emphasis on vitamins and minerals and we hear about the amazing
properties of vitamins all the time. But what about minerals? We do not hear enough on how important
it is to get enough minerals to maintain our health.
Minerals are essential to maintaining good health. They help our body absorb and use vitamins and act
as catalysts for a number of chemical processes. Our bodies can manufacture a number of vitamins but
minerals cannot be made in by our cells. We must obtain all the minerals we need from our diet or
through supplementation.
Some minerals are used by our body in large amounts to form various structures like bones or teeth.
Minerals like this are known as bulk minerals. Calcium is one of the better known bulk minerals.
Another category of minerals are trace minerals. Trace minerals are used within the body in very small
quantities. However, they are still just as important to good health as bulk minerals. Unfortunately,
science didn t recognize the usefulness of trace minerals for many, many years. In fact, it was even
thought that not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, there are many, many factors that affect the ease with which minerals are absorbed into the
bloodstream through our digestive tract. As we age, it becomes harder for our digestive system to
absorb minerals and our cells have a harder time utilizing them. By taking mineral supplements that
are already in an easily absorbed form, we can make it simpler to get enough of all our minerals.
Water soluble minerals are the easiest way for the body to absorb and utilize a mineral supplement.
Liquid mineral supplements are superior to other supplements for being absorbed and utilized in our
body. Take control of your health today by making sure you are getting the optimum amount of all the
minerals your body

A community can be defined in many ways. The most basic definition is a group of people sharing
common interests, thoughts, beliefs, or values. Today s fastest growing and most diverse communities
are those experienced through the Internet. In the article Everyone s a Critic, Richard Lacayo
describes the many communities where people can express their feelings on books, movies, music,

The ability to communicate through the Internet has connected people in a way that is immeasurable.
People now turn to cyberspace to have questions answered, feelings shared, and opinions heard. As
Lacayo implies, everyone truly can be a critic and can be valued despite their position. As a result of
the appreciation and recognition of a community, the Internet continues to grow more diverse and
interesting. With many different interests, beliefs, values, opinions, and feelings, many online
communities are bound to be equally as varied. After all, the Net is made up of hundreds of thousands
of separate communities, each with its own special character (Bruckman l71). With the collective
decisions made by each community, the amount of diversity throughout the Internet is unlimited.
Consequently, each individual user can find a community that suits their personal interests or
thoughts. With variety promised on the Net, many see their differences as something we need to
cultivate and cherish (Bruckman 178). Diversity is cherished on the Internet because it allows people
to find a place they can relate to. As Internet communities become more assorted, users are now more
likely to find a community that they can call their own. Above all, most people have constructed their
energies to help make people aware of the variety of

Fall Of The Mayan Empire Essay
Fall of the Maya Empire
From the late eighth through the end of the ninth century, something unknown happened to shake the
Maya civilization to its foundations. One city after another, cities starting from the southern lowlands
to the Yucatan Peninsula were abandoned, and by 900 A.D., Maya civilization in that region had
collapsed. Countless scholars have combed through the Maya ruins for clues to help drive their own
theories to what caused this massive empire to vanish. The fall of the Maya empire has been
hypothesized to three main scenarios, exhaustion of resources, feuding city states and rulers, and an
extreme period of drought which contributed to the Maya demise.
Some believe that by the ninth century the Maya had exhausted the environment around them to the
point that it could no longer sustain an exponentially growing population. Other Maya scholars argue
that constant warfare among competing city states led the complicated military, family (by marriage)
and trade alliances between them led to the breakdown, along with the traditional system of divine
power. Finally, some catastrophic environmental climate change, like an extremely long, intense
period of drought, may have wiped out the Maya civilization. By the time the Spanish explorers
arrived, however, most Maya were living in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Theories Of General Strain Theory
Strain and Deviance: An Empirical Research of General Strain Theory in a Philippine Public
University
LITERATURE REVIEW
Theoretical background
During the past decades, various Criminologists developed different theories in an attempt to explain
the causes of crime within the society. In return, they were successful, which are adopted and accepted
today. Indeed, all of the theories explain the root causes of crime. One of these theories is anomie or
strain theory, which attempts to explain why the majority of the people who commits crime belong to
the lower class. It argues that the frustration of the people who belong to the lower class causes crime
towards the higher class (Merton, 1938). In 1985, Robert Agnew got interested on studying the theory

GST defines strains as negative life events and conditions, which are commonly disliked by the people
who experienced it or the negative experiences of a person in a given group (Agnew, 1992; 2001;

The objective strain refers to those negative life events and conditions experienced by an individual
that are rejected by most members of people in a given group (Agnew, 2001). Usually, these
individuals could not achieve their goals or they lack the means of achieving them. They usually
suffer from poverty (e.g., lack of adequate food and shelter), unemployment (e.g. unable to find a
good work), and discrimination regardless of gender, race or ethnicity. On the other hand, subjective
strain refers to those negative life events experienced by individuals or experiences rejected by them
(Agnew, 2001; 2006). Some of these events are parental divorce, failure at school, death of loved ones

Sir Phillip Sidney s Sonnet #47 from Astrophil and Stella...
Sir Phillip Sidney s Sonnet #47 from Astrophil and Stella
Sir Phillip Sidney s Sonnet # 47 from Astrophil and Stella The sonnet is a short concise form of
writing and it takes a great mind to master it. By mastering it, I mean to be able to say so much in
what seems like so little space. Sir Phillip Sidney comes as close to mastering it as anyone else in his
time or any other does. As the opening line says, this is about a betrayal. Strangely enough, the last
line of the sonnet ends with a word that is the very essence of betrayal. The sonnet ends with the word,
lie. This would cause one to expect to get an explanation of the betrayal between the first and last
lines. This appears to be a story of both love and betrayal. In the ... Show more content on

In the second, line is questions whether he wants the spirit to show that he despises his love. He has
wanted her for a long time and he is in misery without her, he is in this deep misery and the only thing
he has is his despise for begging. The third quatrain is different from the first two in its format. The
first line is indented and the other three are not. This would cause one to think that this line is set apart
for a reason. The first two words say why, it is an exclamation to wake up. It is meant to stand out
much like a mother coming into a child s room and yelling wake up very early in the morning. Here,
the narrator is telling Virtue within himself to awake. He wants to do the right thing. He realizes that
although this girl is beautiful, he does not love her and he must let her go. It is not fair to hold on to
someone in a relationship or in the words of the first quatrain, keep someone a slave to you, if you do
not love them. This is a commentary from over four hundred years ago that is still true in relationships
today. Today, people will date or stay together in an unhealthy relationship for stupid reasons or
superficial reasons and either one or both of the people do not love the other. The last couplet, the
closing lines of the sonnet, also tell the story of relationships today. In the beginning of the
relationship he thought that he may have been in love with her.

Light Fidelity (Li-Fi)
INTRODUCTION For years, infrared LED has been merely a system for piping light around corners
and into the inaccessible places to allow the hidden to be lighted. But now, infrared LED has evolved
into a system of significantly greater importance and use. Throughout the world, it is now being used
to transmit voice, television and data signals as light waves. Its advantages as compared with
conventional coaxial cable or twisted wire pairs are manifold. As a result, millions of dollars are being
spent to put these light wave communication systems into operation. One of the most interesting
developments in recent years in the field of telecommunication is the use of laser light to carry
information over large distances. It has been proved in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Love And Marriage In The 1800 s
What is Marriage ? Some might say it is when two people are in love and want to spend the rest of
their lives together. What is love ? Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. Reading that definition
it is really not specific about what that deep affection is attracting. Love and Marriage had a different
meaning in the 1800 s in comparison to today s time period. Jane Austen s romantic novel Pride and
Prejudice displays marriage during the 1800 s as only for money and higher rankings on the social
class Marriage is indeed a maneuvering business. ( Austen) You would rarely see a female marry
someone less wealthy than her. It was frowned upon ; it was more appropriate to be a Older unmarried
woman than a woman who has married for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was not an important factor in picking a spouse. In Pride and Prejudice they did not really show any
concern about being in love before marriage. Charlotte Lucas did not care about love as long as she
was married. Mr.Collins asked Elizabeth to marry him before asking Charlotte; Knowing that she was
a second choice she still said yes to Mr.Collins. The most important part of Marriage which is love did
not matter to Charlotte ,because love did not matter. But the pressure and importance of being married
and the acceptance of everyone else in her life influenced her answer of saying yes, knowing that she
was not number one choice of Mr.Collins of his wife to be. In the same case in Mr and Mrs. Bennet
relationship he was wowed by her youth beauty and her physical appearance ( Austen) ; he was
attracted about her physical appearance another term for that is lust. Lust does not last forever and
nothing is wrong with lust in the beginning of a relationship as long as it turns into love. A separate
factor was Mrs.Bennet was supposed to inherit land but never did inherit the land and eventually her
youth beauty and physical appearance was not as appealing anymore. So not only is the no love for
one another, the money and land that was supposed to inherited was never successful. The Bennet
marriage is now considered a failure which is why there s so much pressure for the bennet daughter s.
Often people did not enjoy their relationships in their marriages because of their

The Effects Of Stress On Stress And Health
According to a National Institute of Mental Health article on stress and health, stress is defined any
change in the environment that requires your body to react and adjust in response. The body reacts to
these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses.
Not all stress is bad, though. In fact, stress responses can be life saving in necessary situations. The
chemicals and hormones released during a stress response prepare the body to face a threat or flee to
safety, this is commonly known as the fight or flight response. When faced with a dangerous situation,
your heart rate increases, you breathe faster, your muscles tense, and your brain uses more oxygen, all
functions necessary for survival (Brannon et al., 2014).
Nonetheless, those same chemicals that can be life saving in short bursts are harmful if the response is
prolonged, as stress suppresses bodily functions that aren t needed for immediate survival (Brannon et
al., 2014). Further, your immunity is lowered and your digestive and reproductive systems stop
working normally (McEwen et al., 2011).
Feelings normally related with chronic stress and an overproduction of the stress hormone cortisol, are
anxiousness, nervousness, distraction, worry, and depression (Brannon et al., 2014). Additionally,
stomachache is common due to a slowing in the emptying of the stomach. Increase in appetite is
another physical symptom of stress, which can lead to weight gain. Stress also causes a weakening of
the immune

Clausewitz Applicability to Non-State Actors Essays
Clausewitz s theories on war are still relevant today with the revisualization of non state actors on the
world scene. The purpose of this essay is to expand on the applicability of these theories in today s
modern warfare where non state actors play a larger, more global role. The study of theory, especially
translated theory, requires an open mind to determine its applicability to various and ever changing
situations. In the case of Clausewitz, many strategists do not view his theories as relevant to today s
wars involving a Nation State vs. non state actors. This is not true. The U.S. Army Command and
General Staff College teaches that the commander s intent is the most important part of proper
execution. Strategists need to look ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
War is often thought of as involving one state against another but most wars throughout time have
been fought between competing factions within a single state. Examples of this include Civil Wars or
Wars of Revolution within a Nation State where a group organizes itself, forms a military or insurgent
force and attempts to overthrow or separate from the primary Nation State. Clausewitz briefly refers to
non state actors or as he called them, people in arms in his book On War. He saw this as a new
phenomenon of warfare that steamed from the French Revolution under Napoleon. Recognizing that
Clausewitz was aware of non state actors, his definition of war can be reviewed in the context of the
time it was written. Clausewitz s definitions of war are suitable to both State and non state actors. He
defines war as: 1) an act of force to compel our enemy to do our will; 2) a clash between major
interests, which are resolved by bloodshed that is the only way in which it differs from other conflicts;
and 3) fighting, for fighting is the only principle in the manifold activities generally designated as war.
A Nation State raises a military to deter aggression or to become the implementing force of aggression
against its enemies. Similarly, non state actors create militias or guerrilla bands to inflict their will on
others. This act is as much a demonstration of political or military strategy as that of a

1) Review the motivation theories discussed in this chapter. How would each one describe and explain
the problems with Simon Lucas s motivation?
The theories that would be relevant to the problems with Simon Lucas motivation would be the
McClelland s Need Theory and Herzberg s Two Factor Theory. For McClelland s Need Theory, it is
divided into three segments which is the need for achievement, the need for power, and the need for
affiliation. When referring to the need for achievement, Simon Lucas s lacks all necessary
characteristics. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All these three concepts explained why Simon is not motivated. For instance, the lack of job
enlargement. Simon s task was easy and boring, which he did not seem to do well because of
repetitions. His job scope was too tight or too little which resulted in boredom. In terms of job
rotation, Simon wasn t trained in different sections of a building inspector. This is because of his lack
of qualifications. On the other hand of job enrichment, what made Simon not feeling motivated is
because the fact that the job wasn t the job that he really wanted in the first place and the job wasn t
really his passion.

In the case study, Fastsave is a retail chain store company that was doing quite well, and had more

capacity to take risks with no significant danger of losses. The real risk here was whether it would be

Examples Of Conspiracy In Angels And Demons
The title of this project, conspiracy, is taken from Dan Brown s novel Angles and Demons. The story
of the novel is shown to be a result of the conspiracy formed by a member of the Church society. In a
dictionary, the word conspiracy is defined as the act of secretly planning to do something that is
harmful or illegal . However, this is not it. Conspiracy is formed to achieve goals which are made not
by the people, but by their greed for power, wealth and respect. In Angels and Demons, power is
shown to be the main reason for the formation of conspiracy. Dan Brown has successfully highlighted
in his book the kinds of people who form conspiracies. One can see that the people who are apparently
the most trustworthy, respectful and who happen to have a chance in attaining power are the ones who
secretly make plans to harm those who stand in their way of achieving success . In this novel, such
person is shown to be Carlo Ventresca, who is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All we need to do is be alert. We need to be aware of our own interests, our own attraction towards
things that may look beneficial to us but might end up destroying us as well as others around us.
Politicizing is interesting, undoubtedly. But is it good? Is it worth our time and hard work? For all we
know, our basic needs are to be happy and enjoy our lives. We might get happiness on some others
sorrows. But that happiness has a price. It costs us an entire worry free life. Each and every day, we
might end up getting worried of being accused of a crime that we know we have committed. This is
what happens when we conspire and get involved into politics. And this is what we need to beware of.
We must reflect on the consequences of our actions and decisions that others will face, and even more,
what we will ourselves face one day. Conspiracy is like a drug. It is highly addictive. But it is a
harmful drug. One enjoys it thoroughly, but the aftereffects are

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Sports Tribunals
In the era of globalization which has witnessed countless disputes involving interests of multiple
Countries and as such disputes become prominent, a profusion of international tribunals have been
brought into existence in order to meet the demands of dispute settlement in a manner which is in
accordance with the common principles of natural justice so as to deliver justice to the aggrieved
party. However in reality such tribunals are at best seen as a work in progress.
All hope is not lost, there exists, at least in my opinion, a single international court which rises beyond

contracts, such as those relating to sponsorship, the sale of television rights, the staging of sports
events, player transfers and relations between players or coaches and clubs and/or agents (employment

(e.g. an accident to an athlete during a sports competition).
Disciplinary cases on the other hand represent the disputes submitted to the CAS, of which a large
number are doping related. In addition to doping cases, the CAS is called upon to rule on various
disciplinary cases (violence on the field of play, abuse of referees, etc). ¬
Along with the prior mentioned disputes the CAS also deals with disputes arising out of contentious

Neoliberalism Research Paper
Canada s previous conservative government signed a lucrative deal that would see the country export
$15 billion worth of light armored vehicles (LAVs) to Saudi Arabia. It is pertinent to note that Saudi
Arabia performs exemplarily poorly when it comes to observing human rights. The deal was struck
between the conservative government and Saudi Arabian National Guard, which mainly protects the
royal family. With a past record of consistently mistreating citizens with unpopular views, there is
little guarantee that the arms sale will not be used to violate innocent civilians human rights in the
future. Intriguingly, the current liberal government has declared its unwillingness to suspend the
shipment. This paper explores realist and neo liberal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the government has consistently failed to associate the sale of light armored vehicles with
possible escalation of human rights violation in the future. Instead, the government has chosen to
emphasize the significant economic gains that come with the huge deal. Canada gains enormously
from its relationship with Saudi Arabia. Firstly, Saudi Arabia is one of the key economies in the
Middle East. In addition to that, Saudi Arabia is a key trade partner considering the fact that it is
Canada s second largest export market in the Middle East (Gauthier, 2011). As a result of this there is
a definite commercial interest since it is a possible market for International Trade Canada (ITC). It is
worth appreciating the fact that the Canada and its allies perceive the Middle East nation as a
gradually stabilizing force. The fact that the light armored vehicles are made in Canada means that
they are a key source employment (Chase, 2015). This partly explains why the conservative
government is reluctant to halt the transfer of the arms for fear of contributing to

clarity;
For treated water, the clarity would be very clear because of how many times it has been cleaned and
filtered again and again. For the river is probably clear because of how many times the river has been
flowing through the tree roots and rocks by blocking the dirt, pee, and poo behind. Unlike the river,

The pH of the river is probably in a range from 6 to 8 because it is very clean and can be used a

water is 4 to 6 because of the fish poop and pee in that water.
Phosphates;
The pond water might have been affected by the rain because when it rains then there is a lot is
Phosphates in the water and if it doesn t then the water is fresh. There might be the tiniest bit of
Phosphates in the treated water because it has been treated various times. For the river water, the

There might be high levels of phosphates in the tank water because of the food and what is inside it.

  • 2. Who Is To Blame For Eva s Death Essay An inspector calls was written by John Priestly in 1945, a play writer who was born during the height of the industrial revolution. John was very passionate about the gap between the rich and the poor but more importantly about the fact that the rich refused to take responsibility form them. J. B. Priestley was a socialist. He was a vehement political commentator and playwright. He wrote plays for radio broadcasts so that he could reach a wider audience. Priestley was a main contributor to the foundation of the welfare system: NHS, free education and other help to the poor. The play spotlights around the Birling family who are spending a happy evening celebrating the engagement of Sheila Birling to Gerald Croft. This engagement is seen as a business marriage by Arthur Birling, which will result in the merging of two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sybil is an established rich who is cold, selfish, irresponsible and neglective. She rejects Eva s cry for help without question and second thought the girl with her granddaughter. This shows she is dismissive and she also dismisses the accusation for Eva s death at the end. The reason Mrs. Birling is to blame is the fact that she has the most diverse form of responsibility due to it being her job to help people and to judge them fairly. Although, Eva used Mrs. Birling s name, she should have listened to what Eva had to say thus if she hadn t turned her away, then Eva wouldn t have been coerced to suicide. Mrs. Birling knew the girl was pregnant when she turned her down. Mrs. Birling then points out that she was not the one who sacked the girl from the factory and that the girl knew whom the father was but claimed she did not know. She says, Unlike the other three, I did nothing I m ashamed of or that won t tolerate investigation , this shows she s still quite certain she didn t do anything wrong. • 3. Siddhartha Symbolism In Siddhartha, a book written by Hermann Hesse used symbolism to highlight the theme of the story which was that some things can not be taught they must be experienced. He shows this theme by providing examples in the story such as, Om, Buddha, Rebirth and The River. Siddhartha is a book about the spiritual journey that the main character went through in order to reach his enlightenment. In the book he goes through a lot of trial and error when trying to find his inner self . In the beginning Siddhartha, along with his friend Govinda are Brahmans together but he feels as if he has nothing left to learn. Later he goes through three years with the Samanas but also leaves to learn more about Buddha when he feels that he is not making any progress. Govinda is immediately taken by Buddha and his teachings but Siddhartha chooses to keep looking for something else because although he respected Buddha he did not feel as if he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And in the moment when the sound of Om touched Siddhartha s ear, his dormant spirit suddenly woke up and realized the foolishness of his actions. The om symbolizes what Siddhartha wanted to learn when it came to enlightenment. It signifies the unity of the soul and the body as well as body with the world. Happily, Vasudeva s face was smiling, he bent over to Siddhartha and spoke the holy Om into his ear. And this had been the very thing which Siddhartha had also been hearing, when Vasudeva teaches Siddhartha ways to be enlightened, the om plays a big part because it is something that he has always used. He is not taught how to use the om but rather experienced it. As shown in the first quote, it was a subconscious thing to use the om when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A D.J. or ˜Disk jockey is someone that conducts a program of recorded music on the radio, television or at clubs and other dance halls. They introduce and play CD s or records on record players. The history of the disc jockey actually begins in the nineteenth century when Thomas Edison invents the phonograph, the precursor to the record player. Before, the only way to enjoy music is by going to a live performance or making it yourself. With the phonograph, people could now listen to their favorite music from the comfort of their homes but I believed that now a day people like to listen the music, movies through the ... I came to know that Of the twenty hours a week that an average American spends listing to music, only three of it is stuff you own. The rest is radio. So I read the book I found that in this essay, people had different media to listen the songs through internet like Pandora. Pandora Internet radio, often known simply as Pandora is an automated music recommendation service and custodian of the Music. We can add variety by suggesting what other artists would like to hear. Pandora will briefly pause its streaming for a commercial or two from its sponsors feature that can be disabled by upgrading to a premium account for a nominal fee I think so. I came to know that the most popular alternative to the broadcast model is on demand that is Spotify which was Swedish company. One of the biggest demand player is MOG, a new service that offers a wide array of listening the option and also less expensive, and the highest digital quality which I think is good and become a D.J. our self. A friend and I was discussing the merits of the streaming music service. Pandora and Spotify. I am a longtime Pandora subscriber. My friend uses Spotify and thinks I should, too. Both services have free and paid accounts. Free users get ads. Paid users don t have to endure ads, and the stream quality is better. The two services do differ. Let s look at the paid versions. • 5. The Effects Of Social Media On Corporate Bad News And A... Social media has become prominently popular. Tens of millions of users login to social media sites like Twitter to disseminate breaking news and share their opinions and thoughts. For businesses, social media is potentially useful for monitoring the public perception and the social reputation of companies and products. Despite great potential, how bad news about a company influences the public sentiments in social media has not been studied in depth. The aim of this study is to assess people s sentiments in Twitter upon the spread of two types of information: corporate bad news and a CEO s apology. Nowadays, however, the public expects companies to apology promptly (within 24 hours) and response directly via social media the channel in which a crisis occurs. One of the first companies to experience a serious and global damage in its reputation due to the spread of bad news in social media is Domino s Pizza. The crisis started when two employees produced and uploaded a vulgar YouTube video in 2009. Within a few days, the video gained more than half a million views, major news media covered the event, and people started to discuss the incident on social media. Domino s soon released a YouTube video where its CEO apologized and explained the situation. We paid attention to the Domino s crisis in Twitter, because from the beginning to the end the medium played a central role in spreading both the bad news and the apology. First, the crisis started in YouTube, but soon it was picked up by users in various social media sites. Twitter was one of the key places where discussions took place. Based on our estimation, more than 15,000 Twitter users posted a message about the event, Second, Domino s apologized on Twitter by sharing a link to its CEO s apology on YouTube. • 7. Pest Analysis Of Walmart Several years ago, I was the Director of HR Strategy for Walmart US. As a component of one of my early projects, and being fairly new to the organization, I was asked to conduct a PEST of the organization based on my team s perspective. As a retail industry leader, Walmart continues to withstand the potential negative effects of threats in the political, economic, sociocultural, and technological (PEST) aspects of its business. However, this success requires continued evaluation of the retail industry environment and constant investment in risk mitigation strategies and processes. These PEST factors also change over time, and since it has been years for me since being there, I fresh look is required. These constant changes may present new threats or opportunities that were otherwise not contemplated before (i.e. the Amazon effect). Walmart must exploit the opportunities and protect itself from threats. In using the PEST analysis, Walmart leaders and managers can determine which factors to prioritize in strategy development. Let s look at each of the four factors in our further analysis. Political Factors Are there any other political factors that are likely to change? Walmart considers political factors in the retail and employment markets, usually pertaining to government policies and employment law. In the PEST analysis model, politically active interest groups are also significant in how Walmart reacts to this aspect. For the most part, politics that would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The President Of The Vice President The New Vice President. In the case study of the new vice president, Jennifer was appointed interim Vice President for a 3 year term at Mid West University. After the interim, the President reluctantly appointed her the role of Vice President of the University. Jennifer has devoted her entire career to Mid West University. She was initially hired as an Introductory History instructor. While teaching history, she earned her PH.D and became Assistant Professor due to her popularity and excellent teaching ability. Jennifer was involved in various activities on campus such as forming the first union, acquiring grants, writing skits for the faculty club s annual follies and generally offering her support to anyone who needed her assistance. She became President of the Faculty Senate where she served two years before being offered the position of Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs where for the next ten years she handled most of the academic complaints, oversaw several committees and wrote letters and reports for the then Vice President. As the new Vice President of the University Jennifer encountered many issues. Jennifer failed her responsibilities as a leader, and most importantly as the new vice president elected. • 9. Business Organization For Family Farm Operations Family Farm Operations Brittany McKenzie ACCT 511 D02 May 7, 2015 Abstract As an accountant, I will be selecting the best form of business organization for family farm operations that can offer various problems to professional attorneys. Family farms with a lot of land space are typically held as a major asset. Furthermore, there are issues that would most likely to occur when the farm is passed to family heirs, which can take a major toll on the business and estate planning attorney. In 1988 the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) classified a limited liability company in Wyoming as a partnership for federal income tax reasons, since then all 50 states and the District of Columbia have approved statutes permitting the creation of ... I am going to be their accountant to help run their business the proper way and right way as Christians should. They are trying to avoid a lot of paperwork, but they also want to allow their cousin Xavier to handle the day to day operations of the farm. Additionally, they want to know ways to minimize their taxes on the entity. They want to keep this a family business; they do not want a stranger owning any part of their business. I think this can be a great thing if their family is on one accord and want to expand the business. When you start having outsiders, they could come in a try to turn things around within the business and make a lot of unnecessary changes. With Xavier being their cousin, I think they have a plan that will make the business successful. As stated above, in this case the form of business organization used by the deceased father is a sole proprietorship. A sole proprietor is someone who owns an unincorporated business by himself or herself (Sole Proprietorship, 2015). • 10. The Importance Of Forgivenesstion In Shakespeare s The... William Shakespeare once said, Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none , when he said that he was saying that love everyone no matter what they are; to not trust many people only those with pure intentions; and to never do evil to others. The last play that he wrote was The Tempest after that he helped write a few others. This play is not like the classical tragedy plays that Shakespeare wrote where everyone died at the end; on contrary, this is a story where revenge is an option, but forgiveness is ultimately shown. This play has many non human characters; one of them is Caliban. He calls himself the king of the island. Shakespeare uses Caliban to show forgiveness and reconciliation, and also to show confinement and freedom. Shakespeare uses Caliban s relationship with Prospero to show forgiveness and reconciliation. Forgiveness are very difficult to give, but when the person that is not forgiving stays with the other person for a long time forgiveness can be awarded with time. At the end of the poem when Prospero, exhausted, is talking to everyone about how he is forgiving them for their wrong deeds. Thus, at the end of his speech Prospero is forgiving Caliban for what he did to his family he say to him, PROSPERO. He is as disproportioned in his manners As in his shape. • 11. How Stressful Life Experiences Affect A Child s Emotional... This annotated bibliography covers six journal, reports and articles associated with the subject of how stressful life experiences can affect a child s emotional development, what role the schools play in a child s emotional development and how there is a need for the Department of Education to commission a sector body to develop a framework of core content for initial teacher training (ITT), which should include child and adolescent development. A child s emotional development is a complex, multifaceted process and one which many interaction partners play a role. To teach effectively, trainee teachers need to understand child development expectations at different stages of development together with issues that can have an impact on the child s progress. The research literature has accentuated the association between stressful experiences and psychological dysfunction in children and evidence has been found which suggests that there is a need for continuity across Initial teacher training institutes. ITT should be an environment for new teachers to learn from the best teachers, introducing them to essential skills, knowledge and understanding that all teachers require in order to continuously improve the opportunities and outcomes of young people. The authors of this study compared the judgements of trainee teachers with the responses of young children regarding their perceptions of student stress. • 12. The Santerí a Religion and South Florida Santería is a newly recognized religion within the United States. Many Americans who practice more traditional religions, such as Catholicism, and Judaism, find the practice of Santeria very odd and quite obscure. The preponderance of our society feels that the practice of animal sacrifice, prevalent in Santeria, is immoral and possibly offensive. One reason for this reaction could be that there is a major lack of understanding of this religion in our society. Many people that do not practice this religion automatically assume that the religion is some sort of horrible cult in which people simply slaughter animals. In interviews with people that live near the Lukumí Babalú Ayé Church, published in The Miami Herald, terrible remarks have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In one situation, a man living near the aforementioned church states, I don t like the idea of animal sacrifices; that should have gone out with the Middle Ages. If my dog disappears, I ll know where he s gone (May 1). This statement shows how people assume problems with the church, without respecting the rituals practiced by the followers. Ernesto Pichardo, the president of the Lukumí Babalú Ayé Church, replies to that man s remark by saying, If the dog is missing, please don t blame us. We certainly don t use pets (May). According to another disgruntled church neighbor, I m gonna bitch like hell, if it starts to smell over there. We ll call the Health Department (Morcate). Based on the previous statements, one can see that many people in the community have almost hostile opinions towards the practice of this particular religion. For one, when Hialeah City Council president, Herman Echevarría, first learned about the church back in May of 1987, he said, I m not the type that interferes with anyone s religious beliefs as long as they don t hurt anybody else. I m not crazy about [Santería] either, but if everything they re doing complies with the laws and ordinances or the city, I m not one to go out and protest or make waves about what they re doing (May). • 13. Cause Of Biodiversity The main cause of the loss of biodiversity can be attributed to the influence of human beings on the world s ecosystem, In fact human beings have deeply altered the environment, and have modified the territory, exploiting the species directly, for example by fishing and hunting, changing the biogeochemical cycles and transferring species from one area to another of the Planet. The threats to biodiversity can be summarized in the following main points: o Alteration and loss of the habitats: the transformation of the natural areas determines not only the loss of the vegetable species, but also a decrease in the animal species associated to them. o Introduction of exotic species and genetically modified organisms: species originating from a particular area, introduced into new natural environments can lead to different forms of imbalance in the ecological equilibrium. o Pollution: human activity influences the natural environment producing negative, direct or indirect, effects that alter the flow of energy, the chemical and physical constitution of the environment and abundance of the species; o Climate change: for example, heating of the Earth s surface affects biodiversity because it endangers all the species that adapted to the cold due to the latitude (the Polar species) or the altitude (mountain species). o Overexploitation of resources: when the activities connected with capturing and harvesting (hunting, fishing, farming) a renewable natural resource in a ... There s a great deal of emphasis on vitamins and minerals and we hear about the amazing properties of vitamins all the time. But what about minerals? We do not hear enough on how important it is to get enough minerals to maintain our health. Minerals are essential to maintaining good health. They help our body absorb and use vitamins and act as catalysts for a number of chemical processes. Our bodies can manufacture a number of vitamins but minerals cannot be made in by our cells. We must obtain all the minerals we need from our diet or through supplementation. Some minerals are used by our body in large amounts to form various structures like bones or teeth. Minerals like this are known as bulk minerals. Calcium is one of the better known bulk minerals. Another category of minerals are trace minerals. One city after another, cities starting from the southern lowlands to the Yucatan Peninsula were abandoned, and by 900 A.D., Maya civilization in that region had collapsed. Countless scholars have combed through the Maya ruins for clues to help drive their own theories to what caused this massive empire to vanish. The fall of the Maya empire has been hypothesized to three main scenarios, exhaustion of resources, feuding city states and rulers, and an extreme period of drought which contributed to the Maya demise. Some believe that by the ninth century the Maya had exhausted the environment around them to the point that it could no longer sustain an exponentially growing population. Other Maya scholars argue that constant warfare among competing city states led the complicated military, family (by marriage) and trade alliances between them led to the breakdown, along with the traditional system of divine power. Finally, some catastrophic environmental climate change, like an extremely long, intense period of drought, may have wiped out the Maya civilization. The Effects Of Stress On Stress And Health According to a National Institute of Mental Health article on stress and health, stress is defined any change in the environment that requires your body to react and adjust in response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Not all stress is bad, though. In fact, stress responses can be life saving in necessary situations. The chemicals and hormones released during a stress response prepare the body to face a threat or flee to safety, this is commonly known as the fight or flight response. When faced with a dangerous situation, your heart rate increases, you breathe faster, your muscles tense, and your brain uses more oxygen, all functions necessary for survival (Brannon et al., 2014). Nonetheless, those same chemicals that can be life saving in short bursts are harmful if the response is prolonged, as stress suppresses bodily functions that aren t needed for immediate survival (Brannon et al., 2014). Further, your immunity is lowered and your digestive and reproductive systems stop working normally (McEwen et al., 2011). Feelings normally related with chronic stress and an overproduction of the stress hormone cortisol, are anxiousness, nervousness, distraction, worry, and depression (Brannon et al., 2014). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Examples of this include Civil Wars or Wars of Revolution within a Nation State where a group organizes itself, forms a military or insurgent force and attempts to overthrow or separate from the primary Nation State. Clausewitz briefly refers to non state actors or as he called them, people in arms in his book On War. He saw this as a new phenomenon of warfare that steamed from the French Revolution under Napoleon. Recognizing that Clausewitz was aware of non state actors, his definition of war can be reviewed in the context of the time it was written. Clausewitz s definitions of war are suitable to both State and non state actors. He defines war as: 1) an act of force to compel our enemy to do our will; 2) a clash between major interests, which are resolved by bloodshed that is the only way in which it differs from other conflicts; and 3) fighting, for fighting is the only principle in the manifold activities generally designated as war.
