2. Interactions 2011
A gathering of the brightest and the best
interaction designers from around the world
3. Caveats of this document
This has been pulled together on the ight back to London (so go easy on me)
Sketchnotes were done live in sessions and were photographed on the ight
Any evil thoughts are the thoughts of Jason Mesut, and not of RMA Consulting
29. Bill Verplank’s Opening keynote
An exquisite revisit to the fundamentals of
interaction design from the uncle himself. Bill
sketched and talked through much of the
presentation. I could have listened to him all
day.
64. Crispin Porter + Bogusky
We were taken to the city in a warehouse that is
Crispin Porter + Bogusky. An amazing space
and fun vibe. Big thanks to Matt Walsh and the
CPB guys for sorting out the coach to Vail.
N.B. The images that follow do not do their space justice as
we couldn’t photograph all areas
67. Wall Street On Demand
The highlight of the tour for me was seeing the
work of these guys. Excellent work delivering
rich data visualisation and complex apps across
nancial and healthcare sectors.
80. Brenda Laurel keynote
The queen of interactive gaming gave us a tour
of the key ‘hinges’ in interactive media that
have shaped our world.
A truly mesmerising trip through cyberspace.
86. Bruce Sterling wraps up
An incisive end to the conference. Bruce
summarised the discussions and poked at our
delusions of grandeur.
“If you say something and people don’t get
upset, you’ve said nothing.”
