2. My Poster
In my poster, I have used iTunes, Spotify and
google play to download the song which
promotes it and can have a special connection
with the audience if they have the required
platform.
The audience can interact with the artist by
looking at those music applications along with
the album being released which is huge.
The artist’s name is in huge bold letters along
with the star image to promote and the
audience could identify him. The audience can
tell straight away that he’s a student looking
at his costume and having no facial hair which
shows he’s a teenager.

3. Digipak
The front cover (once folded up)
shows what the whole music video is
about as it shows binary opposite
which connotes his journey from
darkness to light in the music video.
The wide shot in the left cover shows
how lovely he is in that empty space
and the left/inside cover shows he is
praying to god or reflecting his life
when everything goes wrong.
The back cover has the barcode and
QR code along with the track list
which is conventional for most
digipaks.

4. How effective is the combination of your
main product and ancillary text?
I believe the effectiveness of my main product and my ancillary texts are
good since the video shows conventional pop that is recurring, so the
audience would recognise and feel comfortable watching it.
My digipak portrays my artist as strong and weak as the music video
shows his progression from different equilibrium (Todorov’s theory).
My colours, text, lighting and composition of my main product and
ancillary text are mostly the same which helps the audience recognise
what it is and how it’s used. This is great promoting technique.
