• No tank modification required. All sensor components are placed outside the tank.
It is very important when you measure aggressive, explosive, food liquids, as well as
highpressurized liquids.
• You can measure level of any liquid, including liquefied gas.
• Smart self-diagnostic algorithm provides stable data without let or hindrance.
• Explosion-proof certified ( 0Ех ia IIC T6 Ga, [Ex ia Ga] IIC )

Installation process.
As an example – installation as fuel level sensor of the truck.
Before installation fuel level in the tank must be no less than 50%.
Truck must be placed at horizontal surface, fuel tank must be oriented also horizontally. Check it with water level.
Maximum allowable inclination of fuel tank from horizontal position is 2 degrees.
1. Choose at the tank bottom surface 4-5 suitable places of sensor installation. They must be placed close to
center of tank surface. Avoid any tank structure elements (walls, tubes) inside the tank above sensor installation
place. Be sure float level sensor never appears above Dizzi.
6. 2. Connect Eurosens Dizzi to PC.
Run oscilliscope software and choose COM-port. After establishing connection you will see a red chart – live data
from sensor.
7. 3. Clean selected installation locations of dirt. Apply a layer of gel on the emitting surface of the sensor. Gel is
required to eliminate the air gap between the sensor and the surface of the tank. Dirt in the gel is not allowed.
In the absence of the gel, which comes bundled with the sensor can use grease or any homogeneous liquids,
including plain water. The disadvantage of the water layer is that it quickly follows from the gap.
8. 4. Push the sensor to the chosen location for the installation. The number of waveform peaks is the number of
signal reflections. Their number and intensity are telling us about power of signal in given place. But easier to
look at the parameter "quality of the installation, %." Reaching 100% is not necessary, but recommended to have
a value not less than 50% for reliable operation
9. 5. Degrease the selected location with the greatest force of signal. Prepare a two-component. Blending you can
do in one of the syringes. After mixing, before use of the adhesive is necessary to remove air bubbles. Apply
adhesive to the emitting surface of the sensor.
10. 6. Install the clamp band and prepare it for installation of the sensor, leaving a small gap for the
sensor installation. While still monitoring the signal level - attach the sensor to the surface of the tank and
tighten the clamp band lock.
11. 7. Connect sensor to power supply and data logger. Clamp a cables to vehicle frame.

Attention!!! The sensor body is electrically connected to the power ”ground”. Do not connect the sensor
“ground” wire directly vehicle to battery when vehicle has a main “ground” switch.
8. Tank calibration proceed in the usual way. The output value from sensor can be viewed in the oscilloscope
sofrware or data logger.
Compared with fuel level sensors of capacitive type there is one difference - Eurosens Dizzi sensor outputs the
result according to the protocol LLS not in units N = 0 ... 1023 (4096), but in [mm x 0.1].
For example, for tank with height 2000mm range of Eurosens Dizzi values is 0 ... 20000.
Not all data loggers can handle such a big range, so specify the data logger model when ordering. Eurosens
Dizzy also available with special firmware with a reduced range N.
