to easily move these calls between your
mobile device’s native dialer or the
Teams app without interruption.

level of security and privacy.
This feature will be available with
Teams Rooms Pro licenses in April.

4K display support for Teams Rooms on Windows
4K-enabled displays, including front-of-
room displays and touch boards, are
natively supported in the Teams Rooms
experience.
Once enabled, the Teams Room user
interface will scale for optimal
readability.
Note that this improvement does not

HDMI sharing.

viewing experience when sharing HDMI
content outside of an online Teams
meeting, offering an improved

This feature works with nearby Windows,
Android, or Surface Hub meeting room

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android
1449/1.0.96.2024042606 (April 2024)
• Home screen refresh. The Teams Rooms on Android home screen matches the look
and feel of Teams Rooms on Windows, enabling users to engage with a consistent
Teams Rooms interface. The touch console features six action buttons and shows the
room calendar on the right side of the home screen. If the Bluetooth beaconing setting
is enabled, a room tip appears at the bottom left corner of the front-of-room display
and touch console for user education.
• Join meetings with a QR code. Users can quickly join upcoming meetings by scanning
a QR code on the Teams Room home screen using a mobile camera. Users will then
enter the room companion mode experience on Teams mobile and the full meeting
experience on Teams Rooms. Users can also scan the QR code to start an ad-hoc
meeting or cast content from mobile to the front-of-room display. If the user does not
have the Teams mobile app, they will be directed to download it after scanning the QR
code. Cross-tenant meetings are supported when the organization setting and user
policies allow it. IT admins can control the feature from the device settings or the Teams
admin center. Learn more.
• 4K local HDMI content sharing. Users can consume HDMI content in 4K quality on
Teams Rooms on Android devices that support 4K HDMI input when users project
content to the front-of-room display without joining an online Teams meeting.
• Give feedback support. The Help button includes a Give feedback option that lets
users share their opinions and ideas about Teams Rooms on Android with Microsoft, just
like users can do so on Teams desktop, web, mobile, and Teams Rooms on Window
clients. This feedback is used to improve the Teams experience. IT admins can enable or
disable this feature for users and manage other feedback policies using
PowerShell. Learn more.
• Performance improvements in meetings including when users share HDMI content.
Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows 5.0.111.0 (4/24/2024)
This release is available for all Teams environments, however, GCC-High customers
with this version installed won't see any of the below mentioned new features.

including front of room displays and touch boards, are natively supported on
the Teams Rooms experience. Note: 4K video isn't supported.
• Improvements to Join with an ID.
• Meeting ID and passcode to join on Teams Rooms on Windows. Admins can
configure and require a meeting ID and passcode to join a meeting on Teams
Rooms on Windows to ensure one more level of security and privacy.
• End users can switch IntelliFrame on or off using Stage roster.
• Intelligent Speakers for All Rooms and Devices

Microsoft Teams desk phones - Teams app version:
1449/1.0.94.2024042905 (Touch Phones - AudioCodes, Poly, Yealink)
• Send incoming calls to voicemail from the incoming call screen.
• People can control how they want to handle second incoming call through Busy-on-Busy setting.
• Admins can allow call forwarding option on home screen via Teams admin center > Configuration by
turning on Display call forwarding on home screen.
• Admins can notify people to set or change their Phone lock PIN by enabling a configuration profile
setting in Teams admin center. They can also lock the phone device via the More button menu on
home screen.
• Survival Branch Office (SBA) will be supported on VOIP calls.
• Admins have the option of disabling call quality surveys on Teams phone devices from Teams admin
center > Configuration.
• The issue of Better together on the new Teams desktop app has been fixed.
• After consult transfer, the issue of ongoing call going to the banner for remote caller has been fixed.

Expanded incoming call setting options for Teams Phone Mobile users  With Teams Phone Mobile, you now have the option to choose whether notifications for incoming group calls and meeting nudges are received natively on your mobile device or in the Teams app.  This new capability enables greater flexibility and mobility and allows you to easily move these calls between your mobile device’s native dialer or the Teams app without interruption. Live translation of caption updates in town halls Organizers can select up to six languages for live translated captions  Attendees can choose from these languages for a more inclusive experience Organizers with a Teams Premium license can select up to 10 languages This feature will be available in April
  • 14. New activity notification for Q&A in town halls Organizers, presenters, and attendees using Q&A in a town hall event will see a red dot appear next to the Q&A icon to indicate that a new question or a reply has been posted. This new notification appears when the Q&A pane is closed. This feature will be available in April.

Devices store in Teams app  Discover and Purchase Certified Teams Devices  Headsets, webcams, desk phones, Teams Rooms, and more available.  Personal or shared use cases catered to.  Integrated Shopping within Teams App  Explore devices by categories, search, or filters.  Convenient purchase process in the Microsoft Teams interface.  Exclusive to Small and Medium Businesses  Designed for commercial customers with up to 300 Teams licenses.  Availability  Currently accessible to customers in the United States and Canada. Security and privacy | Require meeting ID and passcode to join a Teams Rooms IT admins can configure and require a meeting ID and passcode to join a meeting on Teams Rooms on Windows and Android to ensure a level of security and privacy. This feature will be available with Teams Rooms Pro licenses in April. Release timing: In development
  • 18. 4K display support for Teams Rooms on Windows 4K-enabled displays, including front-of- room displays and touch boards, are natively supported in the Teams Rooms experience. Once enabled, the Teams Room user interface will scale for optimal readability. Note that this improvement does not include support for 4K video or 4K HDMI sharing. Release timing: In development

Meeting chat shown by default in Gallery View for Teams Rooms on Windows  When joining a meeting with Teams Rooms on Windows, meeting chat is now shown by default on the front of room display alongside meeting participants or content. Meeting participants in the room can use the touch console to hide or show chat on the front of room display and IT admins can easily change the default chat experience for a room. The Teams Rooms on Android home screen matches the look and feel of Teams Rooms on Windows, enabling users to engage with a consistent Teams Rooms interface. The touch console features six action buttons and shows the room calendar on the right side of the home screen. If the Bluetooth beaconing setting is enabled, a room tip appears at the bottom left corner of the front-of-room display and touch console for user education. • Join meetings with a QR code. Users can quickly join upcoming meetings by scanning a QR code on the Teams Room home screen using a mobile camera. Users will then enter the room companion mode experience on Teams mobile and the full meeting experience on Teams Rooms. Users can also scan the QR code to start an ad-hoc meeting or cast content from mobile to the front-of-room display. If the user does not have the Teams mobile app, they will be directed to download it after scanning the QR code. Skype for business deprecation. Back with the release of app 4.19.57.0, we had announced the end of support for Skype for Business (Server and Online) on Microsoft Teams Rooms. With this update, we have retired the XML settings for SfB as well as ability to sign in or support to Skype for Business meetings. Meeting Chat shown by default in Gallery View for Teams Rooms on Windows. Meeting Chat is now shown by default when joining a Teams meeting with Teams Rooms on Windows in Gallery View, making it easier to see incoming chat messages on the front of room display. Admins can configure the default chat experience for a room, and users can make in-meeting changes to show or hide the chat using the touch console. Join meetings with a QR code. Users can quickly join upcoming meetings by scanning a QR code on the Teams Room home screen using a mobile camera. Users will then enter the room companion mode experience on Teams mobile and the full meeting experience on Teams Rooms. Users can also scan the QR code to start an ad-hoc meeting or cast content from mobile to the front-of-room display. If the user does not have the Teams mobile app, they will be directed to download it after scanning the QR code. Cross-tenant meetings are supported when the organization setting and user policies allow it. Intelligent Speakers for All Rooms and Devices: With this update, users can now enjoy enhanced productivity in any meeting space, regardless of the type of mic connected to Teams Room. Support to identify who said what during meetings, providing live attributed transcriptions. This helps Microsoft Copilot and AI notes to keep track of important information.
