2pcs SMA antenna connectors 1 pc metal plate
2 LTE antennas 2 pcs
27. Panel
1. "Auxiliary" - Connector, used when the modem is installed inside of the appliance to connect LTE
auxiliary antenna. The additional antenna helps to strengthen the signal level. ( Auxiliary LTE antenna is
supplied together with the modem).
2. "Status" - displays modems status. Blinking = working.
3. "SIM card" - SIM card slot with an injector.
4. "Main antenna" - Connector, used when the modem is installed inside of the appliance to connect LTE
main antenna. ( The main antenna is supplied together with the modem).
28. 2. Installation
You can install the modem while the system is turned On. You may wait up to 3
minutes until the Telecom operator information is renewed.
Step 1 1.1 Use the wire cutter tool to cut off
the metal panel labeled “LTE
Modem slot”.
You can dispose of the metal panel
after.
Step 2 Plug the VT740 slot modem as shown on
the picture into the opening. The board
should slide into the guide rails (marked as
“1”) and plug into the jack (marked as
“2”).
29. Step 3 Screw the main LTE antenna
into “Main” antenna” jack.
If you want to strengthen the
signal, you can screw in the
second auxiliary antenna into
“Auxiliary” jack.
Step 4 Plug in the SIM card. The SIM
card slot has an injector.
Step 5 You are ready to go! Turn on the system.
You can install the modem while the system
is turned On. You may wait up to 3
minutes until the Telecom operator
information is renewed.
30. 3. Configuring the modem
Please read the following section for the configuration instructions: Online

Modem errors:
Problem Cause Solution
Modem is not initializing. Power light status is not
working.
1. The cable has disconnected due to transportation.
2. The unit is not updated to the latest driver
version.
3. An incorrect converter board is installed inside
the unit by mistake.
1. Power down the device. Open the unit’s case.
Check the cable is connected.
2. Please, update the unit to the latest version.

Outdoor)
1) Function and purpose
For installation inside of IT racks and cabinets, enclosures, doors, and windows. It is used to detect the opening
of doors or windows, garage doors, rack doors, ie . in places , where it is necessary surveillance by means of opening
the magnetic contact. It is but also compatible with many alarms other 3rd party brands. Detection is based on the
separation of two magnetically interconnected parts, of one which is located on the frame door / window and the other
on the door / window. This simple sens or of the basic set alarm requires no power supply, it is powered directly from
the main unit alarm, simply connect it to dry contact inputs of the Vutlan monitoring system.
33. 3. Package includes
NO Package content Description
1 Sensor - 1 pc
2 Magnet - x1 pc
4 Screws M3 12.5mm - x4 pcs
7 Sticker - x2 pcs
34. 4. Connection
1. Connect sensor's x2 cables to the 3.5mm power terminal connector as shown
in the picture below. Cables may be swapped.
2. Insert the terminal into the "Dry contact Input" of the Vutlan monitoring system.
35. 5. Installation / mounting
1 1. Mount the "Magnet" (does not
have wires) on the door or window
using the sticker or two screws
supplied in the package.
2. Mount the "Sensing element" (has
two wires) on the door or window
frame.
2 1. Make sure to align the sensors to each
other.
2. Make sure to turn them to each other
as displayed in the picture.
3. The distance between the magnet and
the sensing element should not exceed 8-
10mm.
36.
37. 6. Configuration
Other pages of interest include: "Connecting dry contacts inputs". For internal contacts,
you can specify the type of behavior (normal or reversive) and specify the type of input.
"User-defined type" only affects the icon in the interface. Types can be following: airflow,
door, motion, smoke, vibration, water, and no special type (by default).
38. For dry contacts on the CAN bus, "Alarm" duration control is also available. This holds
on an active level when the signal is already removed from the input. This allows you to
suppress the instability of the input signal, if necessary.
39. The dry contacts window is designed to control dry contacts of internal dry inputs, VT440,
VT16, and other extensions. The general view is shown here:
To create the logic for an arbitrary group of contacts press the button " “in the upper left corner.
This starts with a wizard creating a logic circuit.
As the first step of the wizard, you must select the dry contacts to create a logical scheme.
40. After you click OK, you are prompted to create a trigger.
The trigger can be not created. But in this case, in "THEN" logic circuit can be used only existing elements. As the
last step, you need to edit and create a logic circuit with the OK button.

NO Package content Description
1 Sensor
2 RJ11 6P4C telephone cable
3 Screw B4,2 x 16 1pc
4 Sticker 1pc
48. 4. Connecting vibration sensor
The sensor uses a standard Vutlan analog RJS5 RJ11 sensor cable for connecting to
the monitoring unit.
49. 5. Installation using a sticker and a bracket
Option 1.
There's a round bump at the bottom of the plastic enclosure of the sensor. It is used for fastening when
the sensor is mounted together with the on walls using a screw. In the current example, it is not needed. If you
are planning to mount a device differently, do not follow this step.
50. Option 2.
a) Stick the mounting sensor to the surface using the sticker. or
b) Stick a sensor to the surface using a screw.
51. Option 3.
Mount the sensor to the surface using a mounting bracket. The mounting
bracket and the sensor can be either attached by the stickers or together
with screws and nuts
52. 6. Analog sensor connection
Connect the analog sensor by a supplied RJ-11 (6P4C) cable to any analog port "A1 .. A8" or
"Sensor" port. The determination of the sensor type and connection will occur automatically
53. 7. 6P4C RJ11 cable wiring/pinouts
1- Yellow, 2- Green, 3- ed, 4 - Black
Daisy chain connection
Colors are true for this telephone cable. Both ends match the colors and pinouts (identical). Please
refer to the RJ connectors comparison table:
54. 8. Extending the number of analog sensors
Using CAN extension "VT408 / Sensor extension unit" it is possible to increase the
number of analog sensors connected to the monitoring unit up to 80 sensor
55. 9. Configuring the sensitivity of the sensor
The sensor is very sensitive. At times this may prove to be too sensitive. In this case, it
is possible to lower the sensor's sensitivity:
1) Unplug the sensor from the cable.
2) Open sensor cover using a flat screw.
3) Take the two-pin jumper header out. This will lower the sensitivity slightly.
4) Close the cover and plug the sensor back in.
If the sensitivity is still too high, Vutlan can produce a custom vibration sensor will a
much lesser sensitivity on demand. In this case, please contact the sales team.
56. 10. Sensor configuration
10.1. Settings tab
To configure a sensor, go to "Main menu" >> "System tree" and click on the sensor
element in the tree. A modal window with sensor properties will pop up. Change the needed
settings and click "OK" or "Apply" at the bottom of the "Properties" window.
57. 10.2. All sensors include:
1 Name The name is given by the system automatically. You can change it to anything you want.
3 ID System ID of the element.
4 Type Example: temperature, humidity, vibration.
5 Class Examples: analog, CAN, switch, discrete.
6 Hardware port The external port number on the device panel to which the sensor is connected (if the sensor is external).
All sensors have threshold controls:
