2. WHY AUDIENCE RESEARCH
IS SO IMPORTANT IN THE
FILM MAKING INDUSTRY
Audience research is extremely
important in the film making
industry, because producers
need to know the target
audience of their film before
they can start advertising and
making it correctly. Audience
research is also important
because once the producers
have their target audience they
need to work out the range of
things there audience likes so
that there film is going to
appease them.
3. OUR TARGET
AUDIENCE
For our primary
research Lauren made a
survey on survey
monkey which found
that our primary
audience was 15 to 30
year old's. The
secondary research we
id on websites such as
pearl and dean found
that our secondary
audience was 40+ year
olds.

RECEIVED
FEEDBACK ON

PRODUCTS ?
We received
constructive feedback
from our peers in 3
stages, which were
the : pitch
presentation, rough
cut screening and
final screening
5. PITCH PRESENTATION
In our pitch presentation we
pitched the general ideas we had
about our film to the class, in this
we included elements such as the
synopsis and main inspirations we
took from films for our own film.
This was an extremely useful
presentation as after it we got
some clear constructive feedback
from the class which allowed us to
improve our research and
planning so that we could come
out with a more successful teaser
trailer. This can be seen in one of
my journal posts.
6. ROUGH CUT SCREENING
The rough cut screening was the first time our peers saw our footage as we had
to present it to them in class this allowed us to gain very useful feedback in
relation to our teaser trailer and ancillary texts. The main point about the teaser
trailer was the need to add a sound track to the teaser as without one it lacked
pace and emphasis. The main point for the poster was to work on our ideas so
that we could come up with a more elaborate design and the main point of
advice for the magazine cover was to make sure that all the alignments are
correct.

9. FINAL SCREENING
After we uploaded the
final cut of our teaser
trailer to YouTube we
showed our audience the
three main products of
our promotional package
and they left comments
on the YouTube video
with feedback confirming
that our 3 products had
synergy between them
and that our brand
identity was very
effective.
