1. Rough cut screening –
The rough-cut screening was a very useful thing to each of the media groups including my own. It meant
we were able to receive some unbiased and helpful feedback for all three of our products (magazine,
poster and teaser trailer).
We spent the lesson showing to the class one by one what we had done so far, and then after watching
each of the YouTube videos we then had a sheet to fill in where we had to give the other group feedback.
This was some of the feedback we received:
2. The main feedback which we received was positive,
considering that what we had shown was a very
rough version of what we wish to achieve in the
final products. There were also good suggestions to
how and in what way we could improve this.
The most common thing we saw was that our
audience felt confused as to which character was
which. This was concerning to us as it is part of the
main aspect of our plot, since receiving this
feedback we have moved certain elements around
such as the voice over to make more sense of the
overall trailer. Generally, people understood our
branding of the red cup and the genre of the film
we are making.
