The document discusses how brand identity is effectively established through a film's marketing campaign. It analyzes the Warm Bodies marketing campaign, noting how the teaser trailer and poster use similar color schemes and prominently feature the main character. It then discusses how the document's film marketing campaign effectively builds brand identity by using consistent fonts, color schemes, main character imagery, and taglines across the poster, magazine cover, and teaser trailer. Maintaining visual and tonal consistency across ancillary products helps audiences connect them to the film.

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
2. IMPORTANCE OF BRAND
IDENTITY IN THE FILM
INDUSTRYBrand identity is extremely important in the film industry as producers need
to make their film known to the largest audience possible and that is why
they need to establish a brand identity between all of their products in there
marketing campaign.
Warm bodies marketing
campaign
Poster teaser trailer
Warm bodies is a marketing campaign I researched in my teaser, this campaign was very
effective in terms of brand identity as for example they have stuck to the same colour
scheme and the main character is displayed in both the teaser trailer and the poster.
3. Fonts

The font we used for our title of our film poster and magazine push the brand of our
film very well as they are exactly the same in these two products, this pushes the brand
of our product as if our audience viewed our poster and then they went on to catch a
glimpse of the empire magazine issue that our film is showcased in they would be able
to make a connection between the poster and the magazine cover, the title used in
these products also pushes the crime and mystery element of our film as it resembles
magazine cut outs which are associated with ransom notes.
4. Colours
The colour scheme of all our products is quite similar and it is especially similar
between our ancillary products, we used a dark blue and grey colour scheme to
push the genre of a thriller to our audience as much as possible, as a dark blue and
grey colourscheme is apparent in many thriller marketing campaigns such as
inception and shutter island. The colour scheme of our products show brand
identity in our marketing campaign as they are very similar in all of our products.

5. Character images
Throughout all of our products the main character is clearly shown, this creates brand
identity between our products as the audience can easily make a connection between
the products after viewing just one of them and this is because our character is
portrayed clearly on all of our products. This is very similar to the marketing
campaign of inception as the main character is also displayed very clearly in all of
the products.

6. Taglines
All of our three products in our promotional package has the films tagline
displayed clearly to the audience, we made sure that this was the case because
the tagline is very important when establishing brand identity for a range of
products, this is because the tagline of a film is sort of like a motto for the film so
we had to make sure that it was present in all of our products. The tagline also
pushes the narrative of the film as it suggests that George will have to go to the
highest extent to get his brother back.
