A hand book is a type of reference work or other collections of
instructions, that is intended to provide ready reference.
A hand book is treatise on a special subjects. Now a days it is often a simple but
all embracing treatment containing concise information and being small enough to be held in
the hand. It may deal with any topic and are generally compendiums of information in a
particular field or about a particular technique .They are designed to easily consulted and provide
quick answer in certain area
TEACHER’S HAND BOOK
The teacher’s hand book provide guidelines to help teachers plan and develop a
flexible integration of the syllabus and learning outcomes in the teaching and learning of
different lesson ideas . Each hand book presents a guide to plan lesson and structured as follows
2. Suggested sequence of lesson ideas for the complete leaving certificate cycle
Lesson ideas indicate strand being covered and at what level, ordinary level or higher
level
Title refers to the relevant section of the strand being covered
Resources Lists the resources which can be used in the teaching and learning of the
topic
Content out lines what the students will be in investigating and understanding in each
lesson idea
WHY HAS THIS BOOK BEEN WRITTEN?
Teachers all over the world have developed different ways to teach maths successfully in
