2. Who are you working with?
• For our media work I am working with Victoria
as we have worked together before, so have
experience with it, and we work well together.
3. Who is the artist you have chosen to make a
music video for?
• The artist we have chosen to make a music
video for is Avril Lavigne, a song featuring
Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger.
4. What is the name of the song?
• The name of the song is Let Me Go.
5. What is the name of your artist that you have created?
• For our media we have created two artists, as
the song we are doing is sung by two people.
The song is mainly sung by a female, so the
female artist we have created is Annlou. The
name of the male artist that we have created
is Jay Phillips.
6. Are you going to have performance and/or/narrative in
your music video?
• We are going to have both narrative and
performance in our music video. We are going
to have both the female and male artist
singing at different times, and then have a
storyline with it to go with the lyrics and
theme of the song.
7. Give a general overview of your ideas for the music
video you have come up with so far.
• We have come up with a few ideas for our music
video.
• We want the music video to be a love story.
• We want it to involve two people ending their
relationships and falling in love as they comfort each
other, to match the lyrics of the song.
• We want two different parts for performance, one in
front of a screen and one in a woods area.
8. Why do you think that this idea is appropriate for the
song you have chosen?
• I think it’s appropriate as it is a love song, and
it has quite a sad theme. So the idea we have
chosen, a love story about relationships that
end, will match the song’s lyrics and themes.
9. Does your idea link to the lyrics of your song?
• Yes our idea links to the lyrics of our song.
They talk about relationships ending, the
sadness of that, a beginning relationship and
the happiness of that and the storyline we
have for our music video links to these lyrics.
10. How does your idea fit your genre?
• Our idea fits our genre as it fits the generic
conventions of a pop/rock genre. The genre
usually features stories of love or stories of
heartbreak, and our ideas fit these
conventions.
