This is a powerpoint presentation representing technologies from the process of constructing our film opening. With in this nine slide power point I talk about all the equipment we used and what we have learned at the end of the project. I uploaded this powerpoint on to slideshare in order to make it view able on the blog.

2. Hardware
Camera
In the filming of our opening film we used a simple camera to film. We used the
camera to film as it is the easiest way of getting footage and could be put onto
the iMac easily. We also used the camera to film the preliminary task video as
well. We used many different angles when filming which we talked about in the
lesson, and how to film those angles to have a good effect.
iMac
We used the iMac’s for the editing of our opening. We got the footage from the
camera and put them on the iMac easily and then used different tools and
effects to edit our opening together. I have learnt many skills when editing with
an iMac such as adding an effect to the opening, adding different sounds and
titles to the opening to make it look more professional.
USB Stick
We used the USB at certain times to put clips from our opening onto an iMac, this
was good as it was an easy way for both members of our group to have a copy
of the opening.
3. Software
iMovie
We used iMovie when editing our opening film. It was good and simple as we could
add many effects to our opening to improve the look of it, it also had many
titles and different fonts. We added an eerie effect to the opening using
iMovie, and used many sound effects in the opening which have improved the
look of our opening and made it look more professional.
Photoshop
We used this when making our logo. Our logo is the words “META Productions” that
are flying on a star, we used Photoshop to make this logo which was quick and
simple. I learnt a lot when using Photoshop such as the different fonts, the
effects you can use and the different paintbrush tools that can be used to give a
good effect.
PowerPoint
I used PowerPoint when doing my blog. Some of the posts had to include a lot of
information so I thought that PowerPoint was the most effective and useful
thing to use when writing a lot. I had used PowerPoint before so it was easy for
me, and it was quick to use as I knew how things worked. It also added a new
style to my blog.
4. Online Tools
Blogger
This has been the main online tool we have used. We did our media work by uploading all of our different
tasks onto a blog using Blogger. I have learnt a lot about using Blogger such as making sure it looks
professional and arranging the posts in the correct order.
MindMeister
I used MindMeister to create a spider diagram in order to explain the plot, costume, filming, editing etc.
for our opening. It was easy to use and put onto my blog, and I have learnt a lot about using
different ways to do the tasks, in this case MindMeister.
Slideshare
We used Slideshare are in order to put the PowerPoint's we’d made onto the blog. Once we had made
the PowerPoint, Slideshare was easy to use and upload our PowerPoint’s onto the blog. Without
Slideshare I wouldn’t have been able to upload my PowerPoint’s onto the blog so Slideshare helped
with my blog as it added a different style to my blog.
Prezi
I used Prezi on my blog, it was simple to use and added a stylish effect to my blog. I learnt a lot from
using Prezi that I didn’t know before. At first I was sceptical of using Prezi as I thought it would be
difficult, but after using it I learnt that it was easy to use and like Slideshare, this added a different
style to my blog.
Google
Google was the main search engine we used to find information, use websites and get images for any
posts for our blog. I had used Google before so I knew how it works, this made using it simple and
quick for me as I was able to use it for all my posts. When I didn’t know the answer to a question, or
I didn’t know what a certain word meant, I used Google to find the information which made things
much easier.
