1. How did you use new media technologies in the construction
and research, planning and evaluation stages?

2. • I have used many different media technologies
in my production and planning stages. For
example I used Blogger, Prezi, Slideshare,
YouTube, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Camera,
iMac, Phone, Safari and Google.

3. Blogger
• I had used Blogger before with my AS work, so I knew pretty much how to
use it. But I didn’t know everything about it, and using it made me learn
more and more about how it works, and different things you can do for
example changing the layout of my blog. You can upload a blog as just
written work, or you can embed things such as YouTube videos or
PowerPoints, as to make the blog look professional, which I did and this
made my blog look good. Using Blogger was pretty easy, and was a good
way of doing my work.

4. Prezi
• Prezi was a great way of doing work. It was like a PowerPoint but had a
different look and different animation to it. I could add pictures, embed
videos and other things to make a really good Prezi, and then embed it
into my blog which made my blog look better. I knew how to use Prezi, but
I still learned things from doing it for example how to embed YouTube
videos. And it is easy to use and makes my blog look better.

5. Slideshare
• Slideshare was another new media technology I used and I found it a great
way to embed PowerPoints onto my blog. I had again used this before, but
it was still a good way of uploading PowerPoints. Slideshare is an easy way
of uploading PowerPoints as I could put them onto my blog easily and it
just made my blog look better.

6. YouTube
• YouTube was a good way for me to watch different music videos of the
same genre, when planning my own music video. It is easy to use, and
easy to embed a YouTube video into my blog or a Prezi. We also uploaded
our final video onto YouTube which is easy to do also and is a better way
of embedding our music video onto our blog, rather than just uploading
the video onto Blogger.

7. Photoshop
• Photoshop is what I used for my ancillary tasks, which were the magazine
advert and the digipak. I hadn’t used Photoshop much before, as it’s quite
a complicated program to use when editing a picture, but still I managed
to use Photoshop to make my magazine and digipak look good and
professional. Though Photoshop is quite complicated, it has everything I
needed to make my magazine and digipak, as it has many different tools
that you can use to edit a photo, and make the photo look good.

8. PowerPoint
• PowerPoint was used for a lot of my production tasks. I know how to use
PowerPoint and so it’s easy for me to do work on. I can then put it onto my
blog easily by uploading it onto Slideshare and then embedding it. It is an
easy and good way to do work and makes my blog look good.

9. Camera
• We used the camera for filming most of our music video. The camera was
a good quality camera, and had good features for filming. When put onto
the iMac it had good quality and just made the music video look
professional. We could film on a tripod or hold it ourselves, so it was easy
to get different camera angles that made the music video look a lot better.

10. iMac
• I used the iMac for most of my work. These computers have all the
programs I needed, for example Photoshop, and were easy to use. The
other member having an iMac at their house made this really easy as we
could edit a lot of the music video at their house, which made the music
video look a lot more professional as we could use the programs on the
iMac, for example Final Cut, to edit our music video.

11. Phone
• The Phone we used for some of the filming of our music video. This was
when we couldn’t film with the camera. The phone had a good quality
camera which made our music video look good.

12. Safari
• I used Safari to use the internet when doing my planning tasks, and could
use it for uploading things onto my blog. It was good as I could use Google
on it as well, and I already knew how to use Safari so it was easy for me to
use.

13. Google
• I used Google as the search engine for everything when doing my blog. I
had used Google many times before, and it’s an easy way to search for
things so it was easy to use. I used it for searching the websites YouTube,
Slideshare, Prezi, Blogger etc.

14. Final Cut
• This is the program we used when editing our music video. I hadn’t used
Final Cut before, and so didn’t know how it worked. But after a while of
using it we thought it was quite easy and it made our music video easy to
edit and look good. Final Cut was good as it had many different title styles,
and effects, and you could add your own for example the fog effect we
added, to make the music video look good and professional.
