Ideas
Purpose:
My first idea for a social website will based on the social site
‘Skype’. The website will allow users to make face-calls
through the use of the internet. To make the website
money it will allow advertisements over the website and
can have members pay money to get effects for their
camera to make the calls more interesting

Colour Scheme
Blue is a happy and inviting
colour. Blue is also a very
popular colour within social
media. It is the colours for
Facebook, Twitter and Skype.
Blue seems to be a memorable
colour so blue can work if my
social site wants to be
remembered well.
Yellow is a eye-
catching
Intended for target
audience who are growing
up with this type of
technology
Target audience
Age
range Teenagers = 13+
Red is different to the other colours. It is eye-catching and
different to the other types of popular social media. Blue is
remembered for Facebook, Twitter and Skype so red can
be a standing out colour to help be remembered for just
my social site
Purpose:
My second idea is to make a social site to allow everybody to chat and
socialize with each other. This will be based on Facebook and Twitter.
The site will allow members to comment, like and share.
Purpose:
My third and final idea for updates
of games. People who sign up will
get the latest news of what is
happening with upcoming games or
updates for games they already
have. People can then like, comment
and share their ideas and reviews of
the updates and games. People who
own a iPhone can get a text to find
out sooner what is happening
World-Wide-Connect
GAME STARTER
Screen Share
Who will the site compete with?
Facebook
Twitter
Skype
FaceTime
Idea 1 Idea 2 Idea 3
Competitors:
‘Game Starter’ is going to compete with all other social
game sites such as ‘Pixwoo’ and ‘Gamespot’.
This is because I have managed to get some inspiration
from both of these sites. From my research I have also
managed to acknowledge the faults and issues that remain
in their sites (such as pages down whilst being working on)
and can use this to my advantage to not have these kinds of
issues onto my social site in order to receive more positive
feedback and get even more users onto the site.
Competitors:
‘ScreenShare’ will compete with ‘Skype’ and
‘FaceTime’. Even though ‘Skype’ is the inspiration
for my social site. This is due to the fact that
Skype is one of the top well-known sites out of
social media. This will mean that if ‘ScreenShare’
can overtake ‘Skype’ then my site will be known
as one of the top social sites out of social media.
Also ‘ScreenShare’ can make up for any mistakes
that ‘Skype’ has.
Competitors:
‘Facebook’, ‘Twitter’, ‘Skype’ and ‘YouTube’ have been chosen as my
competitors. This is because all of these sites are the top social media sites
presently. ‘YouTube’ has been further picked, although it may not be seen
as a social media site, because people can like and comment on videos
across the world. The layout is mostly inspired from ‘Facebook’ and
‘Twitter’. In order to beat these competitors, this will take a lot of work. Part
of the research helped me to find out the faults that these sites which can
be used to this sites advantage to make my site even better.
Purpose - ScreenShare
My first idea for a social website will based on the social site ‘Skype’.
This social site will be called ‘ScreenShare’. This is because it clearly states what is going to be
included within the site as the ‘Screen’ conveys the fact that the site is happening over the
viewers computer screen and the ‘Share’ presents itself to the idea that people can share their
views and contact other users.
The website will allow users to make face-calls through the use of the internet.
For the site to make the website money it will allow advertisements over the website and can
have members pay money to get effects for their camera to make the calls more interesting.
On this site, users will have synergy with Facebook and Twitter as well. This is because these are
two main social sites that can be connected around with my social site to allow users to access
three social sites at once – all linked up together. From here ScreenShare will have hyperlinks to
Facebook and Twitter where, if the user has forgotten their password, the user can sign in with
their Facebook/Twitter account if they have one and if they have the social sites linked up to one
another.
Slogan:
‘Sharing is caring’
This was picked as my slogan because it is short, sweet and to the point. As well as it is
easy to be remembered, the three little words gather a sense of the site’s content.
Font Styles
Here are some font styles I
accessed through daFont.com. I
chose this website because it has
a wide range of fonts which can
be used to help find a font to suit
the social site.
These are the fonts I chose for
the first idea ‘ScreenShare’. Out
of all these different fonts, I have
decided to use the font ‘Molot’
(circled). This is because it is easy
to read, eye-catching and simple.
There will be no abbreviation for
the site due to the idea that it
will not look professional.
LOGO - Styles and Colour
The colours I will be using for my social site will be the colours of red, green and white.
The connotations behind these colours being chosen are because these types of
colours are complementary, and are eye-catching.
I think that it is important to also have these colours because these colours are not
regularly used colours for a social site.
This helps to keep fans of the website to instantly know what social site they are
talking about.
This is because of Facebook and Twitter, they used the the colour blue and their
colours are easily spotted globally by many people who know about their sites
Logo Colour
Here is the logo
in colour. For this
I have kept to the
colours of the
site to further
promote the site.
Technological Convergence
‘ScreenShare’ will be able to be access on
most devices that already can be used to
access other social sites such as mobile
phones, computers, MacBooks, Tablets
etc.
This is because this is intended for target
audience who are growing up with this
type of technology. This can also help out
users because then this site can travel
with people. For example if a user was to
go on holiday, if they had access to some
internet the user is able to connect with
others.
Purpose - World-Wide-Connect
This social site allows everybody to chat and socialize with each other.
This will be based on Facebook and Twitter.
The site will allow members to comment, like and share their ideas and views on the items and
messages that pop up. This site is completely free to the public of anybody that wants to join.
This site manages to make its money through advertisements. It will allow companies to pay a fee
for their company to be advertised all over the site. Which will be good for their company and
mine as they will also create their account to advertise my social site too. The site will have no
synergy with other social sites because this site is competing with the site. This site also further
makes up for all of the mistakes that Facebook and Twitter have.
Slogan:
‘The better way to connect’
This is my slogan for the site because it clearly conveys in one line the sites content.
The slogan needed to shortly convey what it is about because it helps make the site
more memorable for viewers. The slogan also makes my site sound like a new, fresh
way for people to connect with one another with the use of the verbal code ‘The
better way ...’
Font Style
Here are some additional
font styles I managed to find
off of daFont.com.
These were picked in
relation to World-Wide-
Connect. Overall, I feel that
the ‘Batman’ font (circled)
helps to suit the social site
best due to the simple, easy-
read, text. There will be no
abbreviation for the site
due to the idea that it will
not look professional.
LOGO - Styles and Colour
The colours I will be using for this social site will be the colours of blue, yellow and
white. The connotations behind these colours being chosen are because these types
of colours are the same types of colours used in a social site.
I think this could be important because if these colours are the social site colours, this
site has more of a chance to be spotted by fans of the site which helps to keep fans of
the website to instantly know what social site they are talking about.
This is because of Facebook and Twitter, they used the colour blue and their colours
are easily spotted globally by many people who know about their sites and because
they both are blue, they are still both spotted within their colours.
Logo Colour
Here is the logo
in colour. For this
I have kept to the
colours of the
site to further
promote the site.
Technological Convergence
‘World-Wide-Connect’ will be able to be
access on most devices that already can
be used to access other social sites such
as mobile phones, computers,
MacBooks, Tablets etc.
This is because this is intended for target
audience who are growing up with this
type of technology. This can also help out
users because then this site can travel
with people wherever they go to stay
updated with what is going on.
Purpose - GAME STARTER
My third and final idea is a social site for updates of games.
People who sign up will get the latest news of what is happening with upcoming games or
updates for games they already have.
People can then like, comment and share their ideas and reviews of the updates and games.
People who own a iPhone can get a text to find out sooner what is happening within their
gaming. Within the site members can like games, where the website will take account for the
types they like and suggest new ones which they may be interested into.
The site will not have any synergy with other social sites because the site will be competing with
all other social sites. Hopefully this site will manage to do well because the site can manage to
make up for all mistakes the other sites have with themselves.
Slogan:
‘Helping out with all the games since 1972’
This is my slogan for the site because it clearly conveys in one line the sites content.
The slogan includes the year ‘1972’ because that was the year when the first video
game was created, which helps the site look more official and professional to what it is
about.
Font Style
Here are the fonts picked for
the social site. ‘Husky Stash’
text was used because it
helped to best represent
what GAME STARTER is
about. It is also the most
easiest font to read out of
the other fonts picked from
the website. There will be
no abbreviation for the site
due to the idea that it will
not look professional.
LOGO - Styles and Colour
The colours I will be using for my social site will be green, purple and green. The
connotations behind these colours being chosen are because these types of colours
are eye-catching and different.
I think that it is important to have these colours different because these colours are
not regularly used colours for a social site which can help my social site to be easily
spotted which helps to keep fans of the website to instantly know what social site they
are talking about. This is in relation to Facebook and Twitter, they used the the colour
blue and their colours are easily spotted globally by many people who know about
their sites.
Logo Colour
Here is the logo
in colour. For this
I have kept to the
colours of the
site to further
promote the site.
Technological Convergence
‘GAME STARTER’ will be able to be accessed
only on devices that are really relevant to
the purpose such as mobile phones gaming
consoles and computers.
This is because this is intended for target
audience who are growing up with this type
of technology. This may not be as many as
what most other sites will have because
this is a social site for gamers. If this was
able to be taken onboard to a MacBook or
tablet, the social site may loose cause for
what it is trying to do. Gaming consoles was
picked as a new way to bring users
together. I think that if the consoles had
these types of accessibility, such as
including internet access to other social
sites (for example the PlayStation 4 can
access Facebook to share videos of the
users gaming), it could help further to what
the site is trying to produce.
Katz
The sites were made for
viewers to ‘personally identify’
with each other over the
internet to socialize. Which will
be good in my social site
because it can help to bring
people together through social
media
Maslow
This is important for the social
sites because it can help
people to become ‘social
climbers’ as people will be
using the site to connect with
others and have the ability to
follow and stay updated with
news – such as celebrities. For
example there will be a News
Feed where the user will be
able to share information and
see what others have shared.
Hartley
The target age range for all of
these sites is for people who are
13 and above.
This is because it is appealing to
the generation who use social
sites a lot. This site is also to be
known for any gender, it will not
keep to the stereotypical look of a
specific gender.
It is all the same age range for
every idea that I have for all these
sites because this is the age-range
that is within the target audience
my social sites are related to.
Socio-economic
Needs
Relating my range of social sites
economic needs to the Social Grade
Table, all the site focus will be BC1DE.
This is because the target audience
meets the needs that are based around
this socio-economic needs table and are
the types of classes that use this type of
social media.
Which idea to move forwards with?
After designing three different ideas for a social site. I have decided
to develop my work by continuing with two ideas before deciding
the final one.
For this, I have chosen to continue with my first idea (ScreenShare)
and my second idea (World-Wide-Connect).
This is because I feel that these two ideas are the strongest ideas
out of the three and manage to be able to start off as social sites
due to the content that is within both ideas.
Idea 1 and 2 - Sign Up page Hand-Drawn Draft
Here is my hand drawn draft
for the sign-up page for both
social site ideas. This is kept
small and simple. This is partly
because the other reason is
that people must download
the site to get to it easier
Idea 1 - Hand-Drawn Draft
ScreenShare
Here is the hand-drawn draft for my first
idea for the website.
The colour within the site helps to make
the page become more interesting. This
is the homepage for people who have
signed in.
This homepage will stay the same for
people who are members because it will
save the public time rather than signing
in all the time. If they did want to sign
out, then it would take them to the ‘sign
up’ page.
I have kept the sight simple because it
will allow members to easily to get
involved with what they will be doing.

Idea 1 - Profile Pages
Here is another hand drawn

will look like. This will be when
the user will click on one of
their friend’s profile, which is
found in their contact list. This
will also be another way to
access the friend in order to
message them.

Idea 2 - Hand-Drawn Draft
World-Wide-Connect
Here is the second hand drawn draft for
‘World-Wide-Connect’. I have also kept
this site colourful and simple. This again
helps to keep everybody involved.
Like ‘ScreenShare’ this will be the
homepage for members only. This means
that the public’s computers, phones and
tablets will automatically remember their
passwords. This will be helpful rather
than members constantly signing in, and
remembering passwords.

This is how the user can access the

the ‘World-Wide-Connect’

this I have made sure to

website will have. This
includes the colours. The
colours are important to
keep viewers reminded that
they are on ‘World-Wide-
Connect’.

Copyright©
According to Protecting Creativity.com, Copyright is one of the main types of intellectual property
(IP). IP allows a creator to own what they have created to stop other people copying or
reproducing the creator's creation.
The work must be original. When an idea is created physically it can be protected by copyright.
The creation cannot be stopped from borrowing some ideas or producing something similar but
can be stopped from copying the idea completely.
As a rule the owner of the copyright is the person who created it. One important exception to
this is when the company would like to have the rights to copy the idea so they must contact the
company who had the original idea in order to see if they are allowed to use their ideas if there is
a lot of ideas they would like. If the company accepts their creation to be copied, then a contract
is made to make sure both companies fully understand what can or cannot be used (as they may
have certain limits of what they could like to keep original). If they are not allowed, then the
company must come up with another idea without taking up the situation any further.
This must be considered into designing my three different ideas – if too much inspiration is
being used, then I must contact the company/companies to get their permission. To further
make sure that my work will not be copied, each site will have a terms and conditions contract
that the user must agree to in order to make their membership that will be located when the
user signs up.
http://www.cla.co.uk/copyright_information/copyright_information/
Final Idea
In conclusion, I think that Idea 1 (ScreenShare) will be the project
to move even further with. This is because this idea brings in
new ideas for social media to consider such as the new ways to
contact other users filled with fun effects as well as being able to
access other social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

  • 4. Social Media Ideas Purpose: My first idea for a social website will based on the social site ‘Skype’. The website will allow users to make face-calls through the use of the internet. To make the website money it will allow advertisements over the website and can have members pay money to get effects for their camera to make the calls more interesting What does the website offer? Technological Convergence Computer Phones with internet Tablets Name ideas Colour Scheme Blue is a happy and inviting colour. Blue is also a very popular colour within social media. It is the colours for Facebook, Twitter and Skype. Blue seems to be a memorable colour so blue can work if my social site wants to be remembered well. Yellow is a eye- catching Intended for target audience who are growing up with this type of technology Target audience Age range Teenagers = 13+ Red is different to the other colours. It is eye-catching and different to the other types of popular social media. Blue is remembered for Facebook, Twitter and Skype so red can be a standing out colour to help be remembered for just my social site Purpose: My second idea is to make a social site to allow everybody to chat and socialize with each other. This will be based on Facebook and Twitter. The site will allow members to comment, like and share. Purpose: My third and final idea for updates of games. People who sign up will get the latest news of what is happening with upcoming games or updates for games they already have. People can then like, comment and share their ideas and reviews of the updates and games. People who own a iPhone can get a text to find out sooner what is happening World-Wide-Connect GAME STARTER Screen Share Who will the site compete with? Facebook Twitter Skype FaceTime
  • 5. Idea 1 Idea 2 Idea 3 Competitors: ‘Game Starter’ is going to compete with all other social game sites such as ‘Pixwoo’ and ‘Gamespot’. This is because I have managed to get some inspiration from both of these sites. From my research I have also managed to acknowledge the faults and issues that remain in their sites (such as pages down whilst being working on) and can use this to my advantage to not have these kinds of issues onto my social site in order to receive more positive feedback and get even more users onto the site. Competitors: ‘ScreenShare’ will compete with ‘Skype’ and ‘FaceTime’. Even though ‘Skype’ is the inspiration for my social site. This is due to the fact that Skype is one of the top well-known sites out of social media. This will mean that if ‘ScreenShare’ can overtake ‘Skype’ then my site will be known as one of the top social sites out of social media. Also ‘ScreenShare’ can make up for any mistakes that ‘Skype’ has. Competitors: ‘Facebook’, ‘Twitter’, ‘Skype’ and ‘YouTube’ have been chosen as my competitors. This is because all of these sites are the top social media sites presently. ‘YouTube’ has been further picked, although it may not be seen as a social media site, because people can like and comment on videos across the world. The layout is mostly inspired from ‘Facebook’ and ‘Twitter’. In order to beat these competitors, this will take a lot of work. Part of the research helped me to find out the faults that these sites which can be used to this sites advantage to make my site even better.
  • 6. Purpose - ScreenShare My first idea for a social website will based on the social site ‘Skype’. This social site will be called ‘ScreenShare’. This is because it clearly states what is going to be included within the site as the ‘Screen’ conveys the fact that the site is happening over the viewers computer screen and the ‘Share’ presents itself to the idea that people can share their views and contact other users. The website will allow users to make face-calls through the use of the internet. For the site to make the website money it will allow advertisements over the website and can have members pay money to get effects for their camera to make the calls more interesting. On this site, users will have synergy with Facebook and Twitter as well. This is because these are two main social sites that can be connected around with my social site to allow users to access three social sites at once – all linked up together. From here ScreenShare will have hyperlinks to Facebook and Twitter where, if the user has forgotten their password, the user can sign in with their Facebook/Twitter account if they have one and if they have the social sites linked up to one another. Slogan: ‘Sharing is caring’ This was picked as my slogan because it is short, sweet and to the point. As well as it is easy to be remembered, the three little words gather a sense of the site’s content.
  • 7. Font Styles Here are some font styles I accessed through daFont.com. I chose this website because it has a wide range of fonts which can be used to help find a font to suit the social site. These are the fonts I chose for the first idea ‘ScreenShare’. Out of all these different fonts, I have decided to use the font ‘Molot’ (circled). This is because it is easy to read, eye-catching and simple. There will be no abbreviation for the site due to the idea that it will not look professional.
  • 8. LOGO - Styles and Colour The colours I will be using for my social site will be the colours of red, green and white. The connotations behind these colours being chosen are because these types of colours are complementary, and are eye-catching. I think that it is important to also have these colours because these colours are not regularly used colours for a social site. This helps to keep fans of the website to instantly know what social site they are talking about. This is because of Facebook and Twitter, they used the the colour blue and their colours are easily spotted globally by many people who know about their sites Logo Colour Here is the logo in colour. For this I have kept to the colours of the site to further promote the site.
  • 9. Technological Convergence ‘ScreenShare’ will be able to be access on most devices that already can be used to access other social sites such as mobile phones, computers, MacBooks, Tablets etc. This is because this is intended for target audience who are growing up with this type of technology. This can also help out users because then this site can travel with people. For example if a user was to go on holiday, if they had access to some internet the user is able to connect with others.
  • 10. Purpose - World-Wide-Connect This social site allows everybody to chat and socialize with each other. This will be based on Facebook and Twitter. The site will allow members to comment, like and share their ideas and views on the items and messages that pop up. This site is completely free to the public of anybody that wants to join. This site manages to make its money through advertisements. It will allow companies to pay a fee for their company to be advertised all over the site. Which will be good for their company and mine as they will also create their account to advertise my social site too. The site will have no synergy with other social sites because this site is competing with the site. This site also further makes up for all of the mistakes that Facebook and Twitter have. Slogan: ‘The better way to connect’ This is my slogan for the site because it clearly conveys in one line the sites content. The slogan needed to shortly convey what it is about because it helps make the site more memorable for viewers. The slogan also makes my site sound like a new, fresh way for people to connect with one another with the use of the verbal code ‘The better way ...’
  • 11. Font Style Here are some additional font styles I managed to find off of daFont.com. These were picked in relation to World-Wide- Connect. Overall, I feel that the ‘Batman’ font (circled) helps to suit the social site best due to the simple, easy- read, text. There will be no abbreviation for the site due to the idea that it will not look professional.
  • 12. LOGO - Styles and Colour The colours I will be using for this social site will be the colours of blue, yellow and white. The connotations behind these colours being chosen are because these types of colours are the same types of colours used in a social site. I think this could be important because if these colours are the social site colours, this site has more of a chance to be spotted by fans of the site which helps to keep fans of the website to instantly know what social site they are talking about. This is because of Facebook and Twitter, they used the colour blue and their colours are easily spotted globally by many people who know about their sites and because they both are blue, they are still both spotted within their colours. Logo Colour Here is the logo in colour. For this I have kept to the colours of the site to further promote the site.
  • 13. Technological Convergence ‘World-Wide-Connect’ will be able to be access on most devices that already can be used to access other social sites such as mobile phones, computers, MacBooks, Tablets etc. This is because this is intended for target audience who are growing up with this type of technology. This can also help out users because then this site can travel with people wherever they go to stay updated with what is going on.
  • 14. Purpose - GAME STARTER My third and final idea is a social site for updates of games. People who sign up will get the latest news of what is happening with upcoming games or updates for games they already have. People can then like, comment and share their ideas and reviews of the updates and games. People who own a iPhone can get a text to find out sooner what is happening within their gaming. Within the site members can like games, where the website will take account for the types they like and suggest new ones which they may be interested into. The site will not have any synergy with other social sites because the site will be competing with all other social sites. Hopefully this site will manage to do well because the site can manage to make up for all mistakes the other sites have with themselves. Slogan: ‘Helping out with all the games since 1972’ This is my slogan for the site because it clearly conveys in one line the sites content. The slogan includes the year ‘1972’ because that was the year when the first video game was created, which helps the site look more official and professional to what it is about.
  • 15. Font Style Here are the fonts picked for the social site. ‘Husky Stash’ text was used because it helped to best represent what GAME STARTER is about. It is also the most easiest font to read out of the other fonts picked from the website. There will be no abbreviation for the site due to the idea that it will not look professional.
  • 16. LOGO - Styles and Colour The colours I will be using for my social site will be green, purple and green. The connotations behind these colours being chosen are because these types of colours are eye-catching and different. I think that it is important to have these colours different because these colours are not regularly used colours for a social site which can help my social site to be easily spotted which helps to keep fans of the website to instantly know what social site they are talking about. This is in relation to Facebook and Twitter, they used the the colour blue and their colours are easily spotted globally by many people who know about their sites. Logo Colour Here is the logo in colour. For this I have kept to the colours of the site to further promote the site.
  • 17. Technological Convergence ‘GAME STARTER’ will be able to be accessed only on devices that are really relevant to the purpose such as mobile phones gaming consoles and computers. This is because this is intended for target audience who are growing up with this type of technology. This may not be as many as what most other sites will have because this is a social site for gamers. If this was able to be taken onboard to a MacBook or tablet, the social site may loose cause for what it is trying to do. Gaming consoles was picked as a new way to bring users together. I think that if the consoles had these types of accessibility, such as including internet access to other social sites (for example the PlayStation 4 can access Facebook to share videos of the users gaming), it could help further to what the site is trying to produce.
  • 18. Katz The sites were made for viewers to ‘personally identify’ with each other over the internet to socialize. Which will be good in my social site because it can help to bring people together through social media Maslow This is important for the social sites because it can help people to become ‘social climbers’ as people will be using the site to connect with others and have the ability to follow and stay updated with news – such as celebrities. For example there will be a News Feed where the user will be able to share information and see what others have shared.
  • 19. Hartley The target age range for all of these sites is for people who are 13 and above. This is because it is appealing to the generation who use social sites a lot. This site is also to be known for any gender, it will not keep to the stereotypical look of a specific gender. It is all the same age range for every idea that I have for all these sites because this is the age-range that is within the target audience my social sites are related to. Socio-economic Needs Relating my range of social sites economic needs to the Social Grade Table, all the site focus will be BC1DE. This is because the target audience meets the needs that are based around this socio-economic needs table and are the types of classes that use this type of social media.
  • 20. Which idea to move forwards with? After designing three different ideas for a social site. I have decided to develop my work by continuing with two ideas before deciding the final one. For this, I have chosen to continue with my first idea (ScreenShare) and my second idea (World-Wide-Connect). This is because I feel that these two ideas are the strongest ideas out of the three and manage to be able to start off as social sites due to the content that is within both ideas.
  • 21. Idea 1 and 2 - Sign Up page Hand-Drawn Draft Here is my hand drawn draft for the sign-up page for both social site ideas. This is kept small and simple. This is partly because the other reason is that people must download the site to get to it easier
  • 22. Idea 1 - Hand-Drawn Draft ScreenShare Here is the hand-drawn draft for my first idea for the website. The colour within the site helps to make the page become more interesting. This is the homepage for people who have signed in. This homepage will stay the same for people who are members because it will save the public time rather than signing in all the time. If they did want to sign out, then it would take them to the ‘sign up’ page. I have kept the sight simple because it will allow members to easily to get involved with what they will be doing. Red Home/Facebook/Twitter link Profile Picture News FeedGroup Chat Contacts Advertisement(s)
  • 23. Idea 1 - Profile Pages Here is another hand drawn draft of what the profile pages will look like. This will be when the user will click on one of their friend’s profile, which is found in their contact list. This will also be another way to access the friend in order to message them. Red Yellow Red Phone, Green Circle Facebook Logo link Twitter Logo Link Home-Page Button
  • 24. Idea 1 - Photoshop ScreenShare Here is my hand-drawn draft of ScreenShare, through the use of Photoshop. This demonstrates what will be included within both pages much more clearly.
  • 25. Sign In Homepage SettingsContacts Advertisement My Profie Each contact that the member has within their profile Contact Profile From here the member can contact their friend’s profile by messaging or calling By clicking on the advertisement this is a hyperlink to a new tab onto the members internet to access the companies website and account over ScreenShare By clicking on ‘settings’ this opens up the settings page where the member of ScreenShare can change their settings for their profile. For example through settings the member can change their profile picture to update it. This is also another way to log out By clicking on your profile, you are able to see updates, information and messages. From this you are also able to access another way to link to settings. Finally, by clicking on your profile, you can ‘log out’ Log Out This allows the member to leave ScreenShare. This way they are unable to access updates, messages and new information ScreenShare.com Sign up details are made Download Do you wish to download the contents of this site to your device?Terms and conditions ScreenShare is installed to the device
  • 26. Idea 2 - Hand-Drawn Draft World-Wide-Connect Here is the second hand drawn draft for ‘World-Wide-Connect’. I have also kept this site colourful and simple. This again helps to keep everybody involved. Like ‘ScreenShare’ this will be the homepage for members only. This means that the public’s computers, phones and tablets will automatically remember their passwords. This will be helpful rather than members constantly signing in, and remembering passwords. Profile Pages This is how the user can access the profile pages. When each user will click on their friend, the chat box will change to what was last said in the chat. Yellow Blue Profile Picture
  • 27. Idea 2 – Photoshop World-Wide-Connect Here is the outline for what the ‘World-Wide-Connect’ website homepage and sign up page will look like. For this I have made sure to keep to the style that the website will have. This includes the colours. The colours are important to keep viewers reminded that they are on ‘World-Wide- Connect’.
  • 28. Sign In Homepage SettingsContacts News Feed My Profie Each contact that the member has within their profile Contact Profile From here the member can contact their friend’s profile by messaging or calling By clicking on the News Feed user is able to see what's new around the world and share further information to get the word across By clicking on ‘settings’ this opens up the settings page where the member of World-Wide-Connect can change their settings for their profile. • 29. Copyright© According to Protecting Creativity.com, Copyright is one of the main types of intellectual property (IP). IP allows a creator to own what they have created to stop other people copying or reproducing the creator's creation. The work must be original. When an idea is created physically it can be protected by copyright. The creation cannot be stopped from borrowing some ideas or producing something similar but can be stopped from copying the idea completely. As a rule the owner of the copyright is the person who created it. One important exception to this is when the company would like to have the rights to copy the idea so they must contact the company who had the original idea in order to see if they are allowed to use their ideas if there is a lot of ideas they would like. If the company accepts their creation to be copied, then a contract is made to make sure both companies fully understand what can or cannot be used (as they may have certain limits of what they could like to keep original). If they are not allowed, then the company must come up with another idea without taking up the situation any further. This must be considered into designing my three different ideas – if too much inspiration is being used, then I must contact the company/companies to get their permission. To further make sure that my work will not be copied, each site will have a terms and conditions contract that the user must agree to in order to make their membership that will be located when the user signs up. http://www.cla.co.uk/copyright_information/copyright_information/
  • 30. Final Idea In conclusion, I think that Idea 1 (ScreenShare) will be the project to move even further with. This is because this idea brings in new ideas for social media to consider such as the new ways to contact other users filled with fun effects as well as being able to access other social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
