3. My research consisted of a lot of different secondary research. I
researched different techniques that are used in film/video this
involved all the features of mise en scene. I learnt about
different angles, pov etc. I also analysed films in my genre that
had been successful. Such as The Woman In Black and The
Orphan.
4. To plan my films I created my proposal with my idea and
followed that up with a basic plan and shot list. I created my
story development and decided how each shot would look and
from where it would be filmed. I also planned out the location
and permissions along with the cast and times of production.
5. I used a chart to manage my time. I split each shot in to 5
second gaps however I found it hard to make them that fast.
In terms of the project I should of used my time better and I
could of made a better piece of work
6. I struggled to use the camera as I initially had an issue with the sd card,
after I bought a new one I struggled to get the settings right which lead
to blurry grainy footage. Sometimes this worked as it fitted in to the
aesthetic of the blurry creepyness of the film but other times it looked
fairly poor. Next time I would get help on setting the camera and borrow
college equipmenrt instead of using my own.
7. Audio was very simple as my film only featured the
backing track, a suspense sound, a switch noise and a
shattering sound from the lightbulbs. Keeping it
simple made it fairly easy to piece together next time I
would go for something slightly more complex to
challenge myself.
8. I found editing fairly easy although the footage I had got was
not as good as I wanted. I also struggled to fit it in to 60
seconds as he story took too long. I have had to cut a lot of bits
out I didn't’t really want to.
9. My work was creative at times and there was moments my film
looked good however I could of done a lot more throughout the
project. I just think if the video was of better quality it would
of looked a lot better.
10. I have appealed to my audience by using the
conventions of my chosen genre horror. I have
used low creepy lighting and settings.

14. What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
I agree that the angles were good
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
Nothing I thought it was pretty spot on
15. I would change the quality of filming as this was the
main flaw however I would of also have got more
shots so I had more footage to work with.
