2. • To find out a target audience for my magazine
I did a questionnaire to find out what different
people prefer.
• My magazine target audience could be for
mainly girls from 13 to about 18,as the genre
of my magazine being pop and r&b,would
appeal more to this age.
3. Market Research Findings
• In my market research out of the people that I asked 80% of the
people said they prefer pop and r&b.
• Also the majority of people who answered were female and huge
80% were between 13 and 20 so my media product will be linking
to what my market research found out about what people prefer.
• This market research will help me make sure my magazine is perfect
for the target audience.
• Also from my market research 80% of people said they found out
about music through social media so if I made a magazine that was
linked to the age group that use social media the most (teenagers)
and as well as just as music magazine link it in to social media to
make sure it really appeals to the target audience that I choose.
4. • If I chose the target audience of 13-16 I would
also make sure I had the right balance of
artist and content that the younger side of my
target group would like and then enough so
older side of my target audience would like
and this would help me make it a little more
different to other magazines.
5. Focus Group Findings
• I asked 4 of my friends what they thought about my
magazine draft so I could have feedback of how I can
improve it further, I asked people in the range of 13-
16 who could be my target audience.
