2. The best media institution to distribute my media product would
be ‘Bauer Media’. This is because I have spent a lot of time
researching them and I have many facts about the media group
and how they started up. They use many ways to attract their
audiences, such as synergy and convergence, using many
different platforms. They own loads of different successful
companies such as ‘Kerrang!’ Their magazine history started in
1952, so I would want this long-running company to distribute
my magazine as they have plenty of experience with magazines
and attracting a niche audience. They have kept their audience
happy for years and adapt to their needs such as social media
platforms, to keep them up-to-date and involved.
3. Bauer Media gets over 22 million UK adults (aged 15 and over) as
their audience every single week. The way they achieve this every
week is by using synergy and convergence and using many
different platforms in order for people to interact. I would like
Bauer Media to distribute my media product because then my
audience would have a variety of ways to keep updated. For
example, my audience could connect through a radio station, a
Twitter or Facebook page, monthly Spotify playlists and apps.
This would be appealing to my target audience as their age
group is always on the go and using their phones. Therefore, my
audience would expand and grow, enabling me to have other
sources such as a radio station and Spotify playlists.

4. Bauer Media always think ahead- ‘This includes knowing what will
be popular tomorrow, today’. This includes knowing what their
audience likes and wants to see in order to keep their audience
interested. They also focus on how people these days are always
on the go, so people can access their platforms online as well as
in paper form. By featuring celebrities that are just starting off in
the business, they gain mass audiences as the public are
interested in new music. If Bauer Media was to distribute my
magazine, the main article is based around a new artist, so
people would be interested. Also, the artist themselves gain a
huge audience and receive tons of support due to Bauer Media
featuring them. They are a very successful company.
