Characteristics and basic differences between formal and nonformal

This paper examines quality assurance mechanisms as correlates of goal achievement of Universal Basic Education (UBE) in public secondary schools of Kwara State, Nigeria. A structured questionnaire was developed and issued to collect information from the study samples. The questionnaire was administered to one thousand, five hundred (1.500) respondents. Data collected were analysed using mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results of the study revealed that instructional supervision, staff development practices, continuous assessment and learning environment had a significant positive relationship with goal achievement in UBE public secondary schools. From the results, it was recommended among others that ministry of education should organise workshops and seminars on quality assurance mechanisms, so that principals and teachers could gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the identified quality assurance mechanisms.Islamic syllabus

Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. Zimbabwe Education

Mission statement: To provide high quality and relevant Primary, Secondary and Non Formal Education and to facilitate access to and participation in sport, in sport, recreation and culture in order to enrich the lives of all the people of Zimbabwe. The Division is formed of the following sections: Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Primary Education Secondary Education Adult and Non-Formal Education
- 4. Functions and Responsibilities of the Division. 1. Initiating the formulation, implementation and reviewing of policies relating to the school system. 2. Facilitating the development of quality assurance tools, e.g. circulars, evaluation instruments and performance indicators. 3. Setting and monitoring performance standards for Early Childhood Education Care, Primary and Secondary school systems. 4. Organizing and conducting staff development programs and providing specialized expertise in all relevant ministry training programs which are within the Division's realm. 5. Overseeing curriculum implementation with special emphasis being placed on the delivery of a relevant curriculum promoting and strengthening mathematics, science and technology, technical and vocational education and student attachment programs.
- 5. 6. Promoting and managing Guest Teacher Programmes to Denmark, Ireland,Japan,Sweden, U.S.A. etc. 7. Developing and promoting the Science Education, In-Service Teacher Training programme (SEITT) and other initiatives such as popularisation of science. 8. Developing and promoting the effective use of teaching and learning materials. 9. Co-ordination at national level , the Better Schools 10. Program (BSPZ) and all initiatives pertaining to the improvement of education delivery. 11. Resources e.g. funds, scholarships, social safety nets, textbooks, other learning materials, assistive devices and media for learners with disabilities and ensuring their equitable distribution. 12. Promoting student discipline and their general welfare. (there are 17 functions)
- 7. International Co-operation & Partners 1. EDUCATION TRANSITION AND REFORM PROGRAMME - (ETRP) This is an European Union funded project with an overall objective to contribute to a more efficient, equitable and sustainable education development. (since January, 2001) 2. EDUCATION SECTOR TRANSITION AND REFORM PROGRAMME (ESTARP) 3. SOUTHERN AFRICAN CONSORTIUM FOR MONITORING EDUCATION QUALITY (SACMEQ) II Is a research project that is jointly undertaken by 15 African countries on monitoring of education quality and learning conditions in primary schools. (it began in 2001) 4. COMMERCIAL FARM AREAS CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMME Totally funded by SIDA and targets commercial farm schools. 5. COMMERCIAL FARM AREAS CHILDREN SCHOLARSHIP 6. UNICEF GENDER PROJECT It’s totally funded by UNICEF. The main objective of the program is to sensitize top officials in the Ministry on gender issues.
