Management consultants are brutally efficient. They not only are taught to do their work fast, but also are very good in selecting the right issues. I know it from first-hand experience as I spent my first 5 years in this hostile environment of top consulting companies. Yes, we worked sometimes 10-15 hours a day; 6-7 days a week but we managed with a small team to do in 3 months what the whole company was not able to do in years. Gelişen teknoloji, önceleri saklanması ve işlenmesi ekonomik
olmayan bilgilerin işlenmesi maliyetlerinin önemli ölçüde düşmesine
neden olmaktadır.
Organizasyonun büyümesi ve sisteme yeni bilgi türlerinin katılması
da bilgi işlem talebinin artmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu durum, var
olan bilgi sistemi ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasında yetersiz kalmasına
neden olabilir.
Eskiyen teknolojinin, işletme maliyetlerinin yüksek kalması ve
benzer işlemlerin yeni teknolojiyle daha ucuza yapılabilir olması.
Var olan bilgi sisteminin yenilenmesi ihtiyacı, örgütün ya da

4. Sistem Geliştirme Hayat Çevrimi (SGHÇ)
Bu yaklaşım, sistemin geliştirilmesine adım adım yaklaşımıdır.
En eski bilgi sistemi geliştirme yaklaşımıdır.
Orta ya da büyük karmaşık sistem projeleri için günümüzde halen
kullanılmaktadır.
5 ana safhaya ayrılmaktadır:
• Planlama
• Analiz
• Tasarım
• Yürütme
• Kullanım
5. SGHÇ Yaklaşımının Kullanım Nedenleri
Büyük bilgi sistemlerinin geliştirilmesi 1-2 veya daha fazla yılı
gerektirmektedir.
SGHÇ kullanmayan proje grupları, sistem geliştirme boyunca
önemli tasarım faktörlerini gözden kaçırmakta ve dokümantasyonu
ihmal etmektedirler.
7. Hayat Çevirimi Yönetimi
• Üst yönetimin sorumluluğu: Sistem stratejik değere sahipse ve tüm
organizasyonu etkiliyorsa başkan ya da üst yönetim komitesi; sistem dar
ve operasyonel odaklanma varsa daha alt seviye yöneticiler liderlik
yapabileceklerdir.
• YBS idare komitesi: Çoğu firmada tüm sistem projelerini yönetme
sorumluluğunda bulunan üst yönetim komitesinin altında özel bir
komitedir. Üst yönetici bu komitenin her zaman daimi üyesidir.
• Proje liderliği: İş detaylarıyla doğrudan proje takımlarıyla
ilgilenmektedir.

Arzu edilen amaçlara ulaşılması için sistem yeteneğini etkileyecek

alınarak, çözümünün uygun olup olmadığının belirlenmesidir.

Değerlendirmeye, geçişten 3-6 ay sonra başlaması önerilmektedir. Bu
bekleme periyodu;

faktörlerin durgunlaşmasına imkan vermektedir.
Bu proses, sistem kullanımı devam ettiği sürece yılda bir kez

23. Sistemin Bakımı
Müşteri ihtiyaçlarının değişmesi, teknolojik ve bilimsel gelişmeler gibi
nedenler sistemde değişiklik ihtiyacını da beraberinde getirmektedir.
Sistem bakımı üç nedenden dolayı yapılmaktadır:
i. Hataların düzeltilmesi
ii. Geçerli, (güncel) bir sistemin sağlanması
iii. Sistemlerin iyileştirilmesi
