The s Equine And Aquatic Therapy Services
Bethany s Equine and Aquatic Therapy Services, Incorporated, more widely known as BEATS,
Inc., is a treatment facility that utilizes both hippotherapy and aquatic therapy for children with a
variety of disabilities (BEATS, n.d.). Aquatic therapy employs the use of water as a means to treat
various conditions by aiding in reducing chronic pain and enabling a wider range of motion
(Oeverman, n.d.). Hippotherapy is a lesser known method of treating mental, physical, and sensory
disabilities by using horses. When ridden, the movements of the horses spine and hips mimic the
movements of walking or running for those who cannot. Even when stationary, the horses
consistent breathing stimulates the muscles of the individual riding that cannot be as readily
stimulated with the use of any other mechanism (B. Nugent, personal communication, February 25,
2016). This unique form of therapyenables individuals to work on balance and strength. Above all,
hippotherapy is incredibly beneficial in enhancing the motivation of disabled clients. Because the
children are used to clinical settings, they do not realize that the session is a part of their
treatment; instead, they are simply having fun. As the occupational therapist walks close by, often
times engaging the child with the use of props, photographs, or games, they are still able to work
with the child in the areas of need (Applegate, 2011). BEATS incorporates these two methods as a
way of engaging disabled children and efficiently

Risk Profile
Understand your risk profile. A risk profile is a way of finding the optimal level of investment
for someone that takes to account the risk required, risk capacity and the risk tolerance. This is
important because it gives the optimal level of investment which will give you the most money
gain. Make your choice of investment. I am going to going on a growth asset investment as I
have a life ahead of me so that means I have a long time to recover and get the money back that I
have lost. Buy shares through a fund. A managed fund is when your sum of money and other
investors money are pooled together and an investment manager buys and sells assets on your
behalf. Advantages of managed funds are that investment manager is a professional and knows
what he/she is doing and has access to a variety of resources that you might not have. However the
disadvantages are that you have very little control with what he/she does with your money.... Show

A share is when you own part of a business. So you can buy parts of businesses in the share
market, like BHP. The two main ways that you make income from shares are by selling them for
capital gain or getting a dividend. The advantages in this is that if this business is doing well
your profits will also go up and if the business gets any profit they share this through the
shareholders in form of a dividend. The disadvantages are that if the business isn t doing well
and the share prices fall then your sell price of the share decreases and you can t make as much
capital gain from it or you might even lose money. The other way that you can lose money is if the
business you own a share in goes bankrupt, this means that you can sell your shares for as much and
sometimes they might be worth

Type Of Heroes In To Kill A Mockingbird
There are many types of heroes but if you look further into them one might find that, mostly, they
can all be put into one of three categories. First there are the Superheroes. They are the ones with
larger than life powers. They are often found in comic books and movies. The Superheroes are
arguably the most well known type of heroes. Great examples include, Superman, Wonder Woman,
and Spiderman. The other type of heroes are the Vigilante. The Vigilante are the heroes that save
the day but are wanted by the police. They don t normally have superpowers but they can. They are
normally depicted with a tragic backstory and they fight crimes because of those horrific events.
Some well known examples are; The Punisher, Batman, and The Watchmen.... Show more content

Some heroes just do their jobs. In the book, To Kill A Mockingbird
, by Harper Lee a lawyer named
Atticus Finch is an example of someone being a hero by doing their job. Atticus Finch is a
fictional lawyer who lives in the fictional town of Maycomb County, Alabama. He is the father
of the book s main characters, Jeremy Jem Finch and Jean Louise Scout Finch. In the book a,
which was set in the 1930s, a black man named Tom Robinson was accused of raping a white
girl. No lawyer wanted to help him because of his race, so Atticus decided to defend him even
though he knew he would lose. Even though the evidence was more than enough to prove that
Tom was innocent, he was found guilty. He was killed in prison with the prison guards claiming
he tried to escape even though evidence said otherwise. Atticus became a hero to all of the
blacks in Maycomb. He did not care about the color of Tom s skin. The book was set in a time
where racism and segregation were everywhere especially in Alabama. Atticus knew he couldn t
win the case but he tried anyway. He proved that one can be a hero by just doing their job and
treating others like human beings and not differently because of the color of their skin. The
movie, The Guardian, provides examples of other everyday heroes. The main characters are Ben
Randall and Jake Fisher. They are Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers. In the movie, Ben is involved
in a rescue that many of his crew members died in. He

Republican Party Research Paper
As many American Liberals have noticed the Democratic Party, supposedly their party, has been
losing big electorally. The presidency, the majority of state governorships, both houses of
congress and the majority of state assemblies have been lost by the Democrats to the Republican
Party. This has left many Democratic citizens wondering, what happened? Why did their party
suddenly fall from favor with the voting public? Though I do not hold myself out as having a
definitive answer I do have a hunch as to why the Democrats have been losing big at the polls.
And fair warning, though I will try to keep this as neutral as possible political biases do have a
pesky way of sneaking into these things.

Their political strategies thus treat votes like sales and elections as winning market share in
political power. They don t get hung up on soundness of arguments nor their basis in factuality.
All they focus on is saying what they need to say in order to win votes. A big technique that I ve
seen used, especially by Donald Trump is appealing to confirmation bias, which my inner
philosophy minor reminds me is a logical fallacy. Nevertheless it works and Trump won far more
support than anyone predicted he would. This tactic is one that is commonly used by marketers
to elicit a particular behavior from groups of people and it transfers over seamlessly to the
political realm. The legal and academic argumentation techniques used by the Democrats were
never meant to be used to elicit any behavior as such it comes as no surprise that they don t transfer

Tom Landry
From September 11, 1924 (Moritz 270), through the late 1960 s, Tom Landry accomplished a lot
of things in his life, and set new trends for many years to come. Whether it be high school
football star, or flying combat missions with the United States Air Force. Whether it be playing
collegiate football, and really excelling, or actually moving on to a professional football career.
Whether it be transforming from player to coach, and leading way for years to come and different

How The Great Depression Affected Germany
Germany s economic troubles only increased during the period known as the Great Depression.
The Great Depression weakened economies worldwide and caused massive unemployment rates
(Castillo, German economy in the 1920s). The Depression put millions of people out of jobs which
led to thousands of being left on the streets to starve (Goldstein 7). According to John Maynard
Keynes, a European economist, the Great Depression was the greatest economic catastrophe... of
the modern world (Flagel 25). While the Great Depression affected multiple countries around the
world, no country was hit as hard as Germany(Callery 16; Dowsewll 20). The Great Depression
affected Germany the most for multiple reasons. The first reason why Germany was affected the
most by the Great Depression was because of the tariffs imposed on Germany (Castillo, German

The Germans were finding loopholes in the restrictions placed upon them by the Treaty of
Versailles. For example, the treaty restricted the development of weapons in Germany, so the
Germans built weapons in facilities in Russia (Axelord 35). In 1933 after assuming the role of
chancellor, Hitler proclaimed, Today Germany, Tomorrow, the world (Axelord 40; Immel 17).
At first Hitler began rebuilding the armies in secrecy, but in 1934 Germany s army expanded
massively (Axelrod 16; Goldstein 9; HistoryOnTheNet, World War II Causes ). Germans once
again began building new military vehicles, and Hitler began rebuilding the German navy and air

Rhetorical Analysis Of Henry s Speech
Paragraph One
In the beginning of the speech, Henry uses a cautious but also assertive tone.
In delivering this speech, Henry intended to highlight the problems caused by Britain, and convince
the American people to fight back against British rule.
Phrases such as the majesty of heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings and nothing less then
a question of freedom or slavery showcase usage of antithesis in the speech.
Henry is appealing to the patriotism and emotions of his audience by mentioning things such as a
question of freedom or slavery , the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country ,
and the very worth gentlemen who have just addressed the House .
By comparing the majesty of heaven to earthly kings , Henry is appealing to ethos, or the audience
s concept of ethics.
The phrase freely, and without reserve is an example of parallelism. References to God are an
example of allusion, as most of Henry s audience practiced Christianity. Paragraph Two
The purpose of this section of the talk is to show people s desire to ignore the truth about the state
of their country, and to warn against doing so.
Henry is trying to show how one s default or natural response to the hardships they were facing at
the hands of British rule might be to turn their head the other way.
Henry s reference to Ezekiel 12:2 ( having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not ) was a way to
draw attention to injustices that he saw among the American people. Because most

Prince started the company hoping luck was at his side; he bet his money on the fact that the
government was getting more and more eager to use the aid of businesses to put people on the
front line. Luckily for Prince, this game of chance paid off. After September 11th the private
security companies saw a major advancement in the industry, the government rapidly privatizing
jobs previously reserved for only uniformed troops. Although the presence of these contractors are
good and useful protection for the military presence already in Iraq, there are many problems as
the rules and regulations that the contractors must follow still aren t set in stone. In addition,
because there is no real front in the war, the private contractors are scattered in non combat as well
as combative zones, dissolving the distinction between an actual soldier and a privately contracted
protector of the troops. This blurring of lines makes it easier for one to begin to see these
individuals as mercenaries (individuals fighting strictly for personal benefit) and not contractors
employed for extra protection, which is banned by the Geneva Convention. These contractors have
obligation to their employers, not to the US, and because of that do not have to follow any military
code of conduct, but only follow the business rules of the company that hired them. The payment of

The order of the game has to be differentiated in ordering a new game and ordering a game, which

The line s maximum capacity amounts to 791.67 units per day assuming that it is operated for
7.5 hours. Assuming that X Opoly operates 200 days per year, the capacity is 58,333 units per
year. Compared with the expected demand the capacity is three times higher than the demand
(50,000 units). Therefore there is an overcapacity of more than 100,000. One consequence could
be a falling price and the production of waste. A fall in the price would lead to a decline of the
return on investment as well as the cash flow. That is why it is necessary to use fewer stations in
order to save resources.
In the calculation it can be said that they only 7 stations are needed. With this number of
workstations one could achieve the highest efficiency at this moment. But the company will grow
rapidly. Therefore they had to add new stations every year.

The American Dream On Essay
And We Dream On.... What is the American Dream? Cambridge dictionary believes it is the
belief that everyone in the US has the chance to be successful and happy if they work hard .
Dictionary.com says it is a life of personal happiness and material comfort . No two definitions of
the American Dream seem to be the same, probably because it has changed so much over time.
In the 1950 s, the dream appears in a hazy view of the perfect life. People are almost brainwashed

Daisy and Tom want to appear as the dream couple, the Jones of the 1920 s.Throughout the cold
war era, the dream begins to shift. Now, the people of the US are fearful of Russia and
communism. They want to ensure their safety, and to do so they need to be in complete control.
Again this concept is parallel to The Black Cat by Edgar Allen Poe. The narrator of this story is
a lonely alcoholic who begins to distrust his beloved cat, and so he harms it and later kills it, just
because he wants to be in control. He wants to prove his power. Lastly comes the civil rights
movement, where people are willing to give their lives for equality. Their dream is for everyone
to be treated the same way, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, and disabilities.
Unfortunately, the struggle for civil rights is somewhat still a reality as author Barbara
Ehrenreich documents in her novel Nickel and Dimed. Her novel is a personal account of a
social experiment performed on people with low wage lifestyles. Her book smashes stereotypes
to try to help break down the barriers of discrimination. All of these time periods and literary
works are similar in the fact that they clearly portray the American Dream, however the Dream is
completely different based on several variables and seems

Analysis Of Ring Around The Rosie
My mom used to sing Ring Around the Rosie to me and my siblings. Although the memory is
vague I can remember the fun we had singing the nursery rhythm. We would hold hands and
form a circle, swaying to the words. We would first start out slow and increase our speed so
when we got to the last verse we would fall down with some of us on top of each other. I chose
this because of the fond memories in my childhood and the fun we all had. Another reason I chose
this is because it reminds me of my childhood and growing up with my siblings. The origin of this
nursery rhyme can have a variety of different meanings throughout the world.
This nursery rhyme can have a lot of different meanings between different people. Ring Around
the Rosie , is a fun interactive game that kids hold hands with each other and form a circle. The
kids all say Ashes, Ashes and they all fall down. This is the kid s favorite part of the song because
they get to fall down while having fun. This nursery rhyme is a fun way to have kids play with
each other and have a wonderful time doing it. Another meaning of this nursery rhyme could be
associated with the Black Death. This is because whenever the children sing the song and they say
all fall down that could mean the death of another person. Another reason this could signify the
Black Death is that when it said ashes it means that person has died and is cremated after they die
from the bubonic plague. To explain this further, it is saying that this

In 1937, Garand had invented a new rifle which he named after himself which was the M1
Garand. Mass production started in the Springfield Armoury and was then delivered to the US
army in 1938. They were used for testing and all mistakes and problems were fixed by the
beginning of the Second World War. By the time Pearl Harbour was bombed, the Springfield and
Winchester Armoury both gradually made mass production of the M1 Garand and by the end of
the war four million units were made and used.
Modifications were made to the M1 Garand such as adding an extra scope or an extra long
barrel. These modifications were made by Springfield Armoury and were eventually called the
Springfield Sniper rifle. Throughout the war, modifications such as sniper series were made.
These included an extra scope, longer barrels, longer bullets, thinner bullets and more power in the
gas operation system. This would be the perfect weapon for an accurate and experienced soldier
wielding this weapon would mean a devastating ending to the person getting shot by. After the war,
more modifications were made such as making the gun chassis more lightweight and less recoil.
These proved well in future battles. According to General George Patton, he called the M1 Garand

Challenges In Alice Walker s The Color Purple
Oftentimes in life people go through challenges they must face. This is seen in Alice Walker s
The Color Purple, which is a historical novel that takes place in Georgia during the Early 20th
Century. In this text, Celie a young black girl who is abused as a child and married to a man
transforms into a strong women after facing her challenges; Nelie, her sister who was also
abused with Celie, ran away when Celie got married. Having no place to go she ends up with a
man and his wife, Samuel and Corrine who are part of a group called missionaries, of American
and African Missionary Society. Multiple characters facechallenges and transform as a result.
For example, Miss Celie at a young age is affected by a challenge that she faces and transforms to
get past her obstacle. As a child she gets raped by her father so she developed a fear of men.
Celie winked at a boy in her church and gets beat by her father; she insist that she didn t wink at
him. She says, I don t even look at mens... I look at women, tho, cause I m not scared of them (5
Walker). Since Celie has negative experiences with men she is only used to the positive
experience with her sister, so she chooses to neglect men. Even after stating this she still gets beat.
Celie faces the challenge of having and Abusive father who doesn t have respect for her. By not
paying attention to what frightens her and stays where she is hloved which is with women, mainly
her sister. This transformation is the result of the challenges she faced.
Similarly, Sofia, who is married to Harpo starts to feel that her marriage is starting to change she
transforms so she can feel safe and happy. Harpo wants Sofia to listen and do as he says, but
Sophia didn t grow up to obey men; so they get into intense arguments and fights. When Sophia
is talking to Miss Celie she says: I don t like to go to bed with him no more... Now I feels tired
all the time. No Interest (66 Walker). Sophia doesn t find Interest in her marriage because of
how Harpo treats her. The challenge she is facing is a husband doesn t have respect for her and
neglects the fact that Sophia is a strong willed woman. Because of this she lost her feelings for

Secondary Sources of Information
Marketing information must be timely, organised, useful and in a simple form if it is to ease
decision making. It should also be easily manipulated to satisfy the changing and ad hoc
requirements of management for information. There is more to marketing information than
marketing research. Indeed, marketing researchis a subsystem of the marketinginformation system.
A Marketing Information System (MIS) is a structure within an organisation designed to gather,

this in the form of information to the organisation s marketing decision makers. The activities

The assembly and analysis of secondary data almost invariably improves the researcher s
understanding of the marketing problem, the various lines of inquiry that could or should be
followed and the alternative courses of action which might be pursued.
Secondary sources help define the population. Secondary data can be extremely useful both in
defining the population and in structuring the sample to be taken. For instance, government
statistics on a country s agriculture will help decide how to stratify a sample and, once sample
estimates have been calculated, these can be used to project those estimates to the population.
The problems of secondary sources
Whilst the benefits of secondary sources are considerable, their shortcomings have to be
acknowledged. There is a need to evaluate the quality of both the source of the data and the data
itself. The main problems may be categorised as follows:
DefinitionsThe researcher has to be careful, when making use of secondary data, of the definitions
used by those responsible for its preparation. Suppose, for example, researchers are interested in
rural communities and their average family size. If published statistics are consulted then a check
must be done on how terms such as family size have been defined. They may refer only to the
nucleus family

The Friar and the Pardoner The Canterbury Tales, retold by Geraldine McCaughrean, is
composed of many stories told by different characters on the road to Canterbury. On their
pilgrimage, each of the characters tells a different story in a contest to win a free dinner when
they get to Canterbury. Many of the tales have similar morals, but the tellers are very different,
such as the tales of the Friar and the Pardoner. Though both of these tales have a similar plot and
can be interpreted in a similar way, their tellers are significantly different. Although the Friar and
the Pardoner are very different people, they both have a similarly structured story, using a
symbolic demons as the antagonist, and with very similar plotlines. In the Pardoner s Tale, three
unintelligent men want to find and murder someone named Death who is killing many people.
The three men stumble upon a pot of gold, which happens to be Death s pot of gold. They all
split the money in the pot and become rich. While one of the three leaves to buy wine to
celebrate their fortune, the two guarding the gold become greedy and plot to kill the other so
they can keep his gold. However, the one who left had a similar idea, and poisons the wine he
brings to dinner. That night, the two who guarded the gold kill the other one, but then drink the

They say she s the daughter of Apollo. I can see it in her face, look at the jawline!
She s so lucky to be the daughter of a god...
I hear her eyes look just like the sun s rays. They say she even has a tinge of orange in them!
Oh, yes. They always talked. They gossiped just like housewives did, out on the streets and in the
wheat fields and in the apple orchards. That is why, whenever I walked down the wide cobblestone

Um, hello? Will you stop staring at the sun already? You re going to burn your eyes right out of

Oh, be patient, Byron. Your laurel will burn if you keep on overheating. I brushed her aside,

I will personally call your dad from the clouds to come stop you, Diantha! No, no no, actually, I ll

During the late 14th century until about the 16th century,...
During the late 14th century until about the 16th century, Italy and other European countries
underwent a time of rebirth of the Ancient Greek and Roman classics. This era was known as the
Renaissance. The citizens of Europe were surrounded by advancements in technology, music, and
culture. However, one of the most prevalent changes that is still in affect today is the newly
founded techniques in the arts. Artists began to think outside of the box, and they made some of
the best paintings of their time. They used different methods than artists from previous centuries
had, including classicism, secularism, humanism, and individualism. One of the greatest artists of
all time, Michaelangelo, is most famous for his Italian Renaissancework.... Show more content on

Perspective was important during the Italian Renaissance because it made artworks look more real
and three dimensional. Perspective was a technique in which an artist would use lines to establish a
foreground, middleground, and a background. In centuries past, many of the artists works would
look flat because they didn t use perspective. In the PietГЎ Mary looks farther away from the
audience than Jesus body does. At the same time, Jesus head takes a spot in the middleground of
the artwork. He is able to depict a Jesus foot to look like it is on top of or mixing with the dress
that Mary is wearing. This was important because in the past, many works of arts backgrounds
would all mix together to create a flat painting. In his sculpture, Michaelangelo uses perspective to
give a more realistic feeling to the artwork.
One of the most prominent developments in Michaelangelo s sculpture is his use of realism and
expression. In his sculpture, realism is shown through the creases of Mary s dress and veil and
the ways that the body s of the two subjects were molded. They were more 3 D and didn t look
flat; they showed more dimension than sculptures in the past had. At the same time, Michaelangelo
also used expression in both of the subjects. Mary looks like she is

the universal screening (MAP, DIBELS, DRA, DSA). If the score is at or above benchmark, the

Then it is decided to intensify or adjust an intervention that was already in place. From here, a

The Ethics Of Bill Gates
Let s suppose you are walking down the street on a Sunday afternoon when out of nowhere you
see a man get shot. You rush over to this man and can tell that he doesn t have more than a few
moments left. As his dying wish he makes you promise to give his fortune of $10 million dollars
to his best friend Bill Gates. As you are walking over to Bill Gates house you see a sign for
Children s Miracle Network Hospital asking for $10 million dollars for research on a rare
genetic disease that could save 100,000 lives. What do you do? Would you keep your promise
to the dying man and give this money to Bill Gates or would you do what would help more
people by donating the money to Children s Miracle Network Hospital? If you decided to
donate the money to charity to save an immense amount of lives you would side with
teleological theory whereas if you decided to keep your promise and give the money to Bill
Gates, you would be agreeing with deontological theory. These theories have deeply divided
modern ethics today. I would choose to agree with teleological theory to dishonor my promise with
this dying man to be able to bring more happinesson earth. I believe that if more people lived by the
teleological theory the world would be a better place today.
Teleological ethics is based on maximizing nonmoral goods, like pleasure, happiness, welfare, and
the improvement of suffering. The teleologist focuses on the outcome that each decision makes, not
the act itself. Teleological ethics are

Should Brahm Be Considered A Conservative Or Conservative...
A controversial topic in music history is the question: Should Brahms be considered a
conservative or progressive composer? It is a difficult question to answer, with many different
things to take into account. In this essay I will try and explore various points of view on this
topic, with reference to musical examples, and then come to a conclusion with which argument I
personally believe to be the truest of them all. Brahms was a composer at a time of great change in
the world of music. He was at the tipping point at which the classical era was coming to an end and
the romantic era was just beginning. The composers typically considered progressives were the
advocates of the Romantic Movement; the composers who were considered conservative wanted to

Brahms wanted to progress music further, but with it s foundations set strongly in the work of
the classical and baroque period composers. He wanted to, and he did, expand, develop, and
reinvigorate the classical style of music. Wagner, Liszt, and other composers were the beginning
of a new period in music. They revolutionised music and the progress they made has had an
everlasting effect. Just because Brahms was not part of this movement does not mean he did not
contribute to the progress of music. He developed Symphonies to a stage they had very rarely
seen before. His work influenced the development of future symphonies, and that is progress.
Brahms managed to be a progressive composer in a conservative form of music. So to say Brahms
was both a conservative and progressive composer is a valid opinion.
Throughout this essay I have explored the various different ways in which you can view Brahms: a
misunderstood progressive, a stubborn conservative, or perhaps a progressive in a style

Essay On George Mcclellan s Assassination
The bloodiest war in U.S. history was fought from 1861 to 1865. Of the current thirty four states,
seven southern slave states seceded from the United States and together they formed the
Confederacy (Confederate States of America.) The war was an inevitable side effect of different
political standings and opinions, about the morals and duties of man in everyday life, between the
North and South. When the war started, the North learned an important ideology about what would
be necessary for the fighting to end. They realized that they had to win, and end the Confederacy,
in order for the Union to be whole again with Northern ideals. While on the other hand, the
Confederacy only had to prove themselves to the Yankees, in other words, they only had to hold the

Even though this was true, Lincoln still put McClellan in charge of his army on the Eastern
Theater. McClellan was well respected and admired for many reasons, he was very visible to his

men would take a bullet for him any day of the week and twice on Sundays, but with knowing this
he gets scared. He is reluctant to engage the enemy in battle and won t commit his men to the

Living In A Small Town Essay
Living in a Small Town in a Big City
Everyone has a different opinion when they have to choose between live in a small town or a big
city. Some people think that living in a small town is peaceful because they feel much closer to the
nature, while the others choose to live in a big city because of its entertainment such as cinemas,
shopping centers, club, and concerts. Also, there are several similarities between small town and a
big city which is history, mission, vision, values, and goals to make their place become much
better. However, most people still do not know how to decide whether they want to live in a small
town or a big city and one of the ways to solve this is to compare them at several points.
Living in a big city can be very different from a small town. Since there are a lot of opportunities
to find a job in a big city, most people have their own variety of occupations. In the morning,
people are wake up and get ready to work. There are several occupations that most people in a big
city have, such as businessman, architect, entrepreneur and etc. Most of them are typically a hard
worker because sometimes they do overtime work even on the weekend. They usually ... Show

a lot of variety of machine sounds such as sirens, honks, vehicles, and people. Those kind of
sounds will block out the natural noises that people would hear in a small town. It is not only the
noise that is very different from both of them but also the air pollution. A small town has more fresh
air and it means people in a small town are breathing healthier air than people in a big city. Unlike

Knights are the European warriors that go into battle to protect their kingdom. Meanwhile, samurai
defend and protect Japan and its people. If the two warriors were to go to battle or war, I think that
a samurai would win. While knights and samurai have many similarities, in a one on one battle, the
advantage would be to the samurait=and this can be seen in the samurai code, armor/training, and
training. The first way that samurais have an advantage is because of their armor. In document

Twentysomthings Research Paper
In today s time the age for which men and women are getting married and having children has risen
to extreme highs and the numbers are still climbing. This occurrence affects a certain group known
as the twentysomthings of today s culture.
There has been many changes over the years in our culture on the viewing of getting married and
starting a family. One example of this is rather than people getting married they are cohabiting with
each other rather than committing themselves to marriage. One of the main reasons for this fact is
that many twentysomthings see this as a end to their freedom and that things are going to start
getting serious. But there are still people getting married but it at later times in their life.
For the age that men and women get married now is 29 while women its 27. Waiting longer to get

and general unhappiness. Now along the lines of marriage, the view of marriage is now seen as
a capstone that can only come form after reaching financial stability and psychological stability
rather than something they can build their life upon. In conclusion, with all these negative and
positive cause effects the world we are living in today will not be the one we lived in fifty years
ago. The world is always changing but sometimes we must go with what will make us happy and
just jump into adulthood and take on the plate of marriage. Life as we know it is not easy for

American Apparel (AA) is a well known United States clothing brand that has gained recognition
among the retail industry. American Apparel headquarters is located in Los Angles, California
where it manufactures and distributes its clothing products. It is known in today s society, to be
sweatshop free and has a strong belief of workers rights. However, American Apparelhas had a

collection, Otago Museum. The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is an example of a performance
measurement system. The newly created performance measurementsystem incorporates four
different dimensions, such as Financial, Community / Customer Perspective, Internal Business, and

Being seen as a community leader in the offering of knowledge and learning opportunities, it adds
value to the museum and forms a positive attitude among community members towards an
organization.
Measurement: We can measure Customer / Community Perspective by calculating the number of
visitors per year. We can measure museum s visits per capita, which will give us an understanding
of our position in relation to other competitors. As well, we can conduct a survey by visitors on the
level of satisfaction they have experienced during their visit to the museum. Also, we can do a more
thorough questionnaire within local community as to what kind of improvements / additions, new
exhibits they would like to see at Otago museum. This will help us to increase the service quality
level.
INTERNAL BUSINESS
Goals: To develop our culture and capabilities and To actively care for, protect and develop our
collections and physical environment
Strategy: By allowing staff to participate in developing organizational culture, with the support from
management, would create a healthy and dynamic environment within an organization. An effective
training program enhances employee capabilities and their commitment to the job, and it motivates
them to provide a higher quality service to visitors / customers. Collaboration between staff
members and the Otago Museum Trust Board creates an effective and positive environment.

Analysis Of The Poem Harlem
James Mercer Langston Hughes was an American poet; a Joplin, Missouri native and an active,
versatile writer, earning acclaim as a poet, novelist, playwright and columnist. He was one of the
first poets to explore an innovative sing songy, stylized delivery called jazz poetry.
As an African American, his point of view, collectively synergized with this then new literary art,
catapulted his writings between the 1930s 1960s. He is often credited as the leader of the Harlem
Renaissance, and famously wrote about the period that the negro was in vogue. (Langston).
Throughout his body of work, Hughes spoke eloquently to the full spectrum of dreams both their

In his 1951 poem, the title alone, Harlem (Dream Deferred) makes the reader immediately
conscious of the speaker s dismissal of ownership. The piece examines, upon deferral, what
happens to a dream Does it dry up / like a raisin the sun?
Hughes later deduces Maybe it just sags like a heavy load. There, with its indication of weight,
the reader draws comparison to a dream being a burden an unbearable, unattainable measuring
stick in the speaker s life, or in this piece s case, America s life.
Hughes, now older, having seen more of the world is grappling with the injustices of equality
and equity. Can an African American attain his/her dream without it wilting under the prejudices
of an unfair America? He saw the dreams of many residents of Harlem, New York disintegrate in
the wake of World War II. Some read this poem as a warning, believing that the speaker argues
that deferred dreams will lead to social unrest. Notably, Lorraine Hansberry chose a line from this
poem as the title of her famous play, A Raisin in the Sun, which explores the idea of delayed
dreams in the world of a black family living in the South Side of Chicago during the 1950s. Both
the play and Hughes s poem champion the power of pursuing dreams, and both comment on the
state of civil rights in America.(Shmoop)

Unit 2 Types Of Vulnerability Scans
A vulnerability scanner is a computer program designed to assess computers, computer systems,
networks or applications for weaknesses. In others words, these scanners are used to discover the
weak points or poorly constructed parts. These vulnerability scanning can be run either as part of
vulnerability management by black hat attackers looking to gain unauthorized access or by those
tasked with protecting systems.
Vulnerability scanners can identify security holes of network or to find the potential point of exploit

The look on Porphyria s face once he was done strangling her was a look of calmness, not like

Within the totalitarian society created by Margaret Atwood in the Handmaid s Tale, there are
many people and regimes centred around and reliant on the manipulation of power. The laws
that are in place in the republic of Gilead are designed and implemented so as to control and
restrict the rights and freedom of its inhabitants. In the republic of Gilead, there are many rules
and restrictions within all levels of the community, wives, econowives, common men and
handmaid s included, which limit the goings on of the people. These rules were all created by
the men in charge, going by the name of The sons of Jacob and are forcefully implemented by the
angels, the male soldiers and protectors . The roles of those in charge all belong to a... Show more

This may not be the most horrendous crime she could have committed but it portrays a disregard
for the laws and an opinion that she is above such petty restrictions. As it was her husband who
wrote these laws, it is deceitful for her to be in possession of items deemed unsuitable for
society. Apart from illegal substance possession, Serena and some of her fellow wives were
revealed to have organised secret liaisons between their handmaids and fertile men, hurrying the
procreation process. This was often done without the knowledge of their husbands, many of
whom were suspected to be sterile in any case. However, despite the unlikelihood of any
offspring produced by the husbands, it is not right by Gilead and its ideals, for the wives to be
taking steps to defy the laws set down for the good of the people and the nations survival. These
wives are acting for their own gains and desires, not for the good of the handmaids. The
handmaids are placed in a household with the assurance of protection from the wife. The wives
are supposed to act as mentors and guardian angels, shielding and caring for the handmaid under
their roof, not throwing her at the closest man with the highest viable sperm count. The wives
have a strong desire to have children, even via other women, so as to feel power or superiority
over fellow women of equal stature. They ensure the provision of a child by setting up

Positive And Negative Effects Of The Great Depression
The Great Depression:
How National Crisis Negatively Impacted and Positively Influenced Broadway
Shrunken perhaps by the vicissitudes and exigencies of the times, Broadway presented itself
admirably throughout the Thirties. It not only managed to preserve the best, but also nurtured and
expanded them. At the brink of the new decade, Broadway stood smaller but brighter Rusie, 2016
1920 s Broadway was booming! Due to the changes in song formatting, the modernization of plot
line, and with a variety of dance style, The Jazz Age catapulted Broadway to a higher dimension
than ever before. Like most hits, the Jazz Age fizzled out due to unforeseen circumstances. The
Jazz Age ended with the 1929 stock market crash and the onset of the Great Depression. The
country suffered, investments dropped, banks failed, and crashing companies caused massive
unemployment rates. Along with the rest of the country, Broadway was negatively impacted by
The Great Depression. However, despite the loss of jobs and struggling venues, the decade of the
thirties proved to be an enlightening and rich experience for Broadway. Through research, we will
open the curtain with the negative effects that The Great Depression had on Broadway during the
1930 s, then venture into the rising action where we will be begin to see the turning point, and
finally end the show in the final act with the light at the end of the tunnel.

Closing Out False Flag Tickets
closing out false flag tickets. This allowed the team to focus its efforts back on its primary ticket

Aspirations In October of 2015, ETS began an effort to extrapolate more meaning from the data.
The need for advanced analytics, and proactive solutions to problems became a central focus for
the organization. Over 150,000 tickets were analyzed for textual similarities. Alerts that
automatically generate tickets were a key finding, since each type of alert had similar ticket
descriptions. Tickets were then categorized and grouped by the type of alert the ticket was
representative of. As of 2016, ETS has successfully categorized over 200,000 incidents into over
80 distinct categories. ETS uses these categories to trend out tickets over time, and see what
common issues impact applications, servers, network devices, and databases. For example, in
January of 2016, it was identified that there was a sudden increase in alerts for low disk space
on the C drives of servers running the Windows 2008 operating system. We compiled the data
into a report, which was then presented to the leading manager of the Windows Server Support
team, who then had their team investigate the issue. It was then decided to increase the amount of
C drive space on the impacted servers. Their process was also updated to increase the amount of
memory allocated to the C drive on new server builds. The use of

Ron Ventura Essay
RON VENTURA AT MITCHELL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL 1.What is your assessment of Ron
Ventura s performance over the term of his two year contract with the hospital? Should his contract
be renewed? I think Ron Ventura is excellent at his work and has made contribution to the
Cardiovascular Center and the entire hospital. He is really professional and technically skilled in his
field, which is recognized by most of his coworkers. He is responsible and works hard in the team.
He is willing to challenge himself and take toughest cases. He has seen more patients than any other

I think the ability to collaborate with other coworkers should be addressed in the contract. This is
related to this hospital s culture and guidance. Moreover, performance evaluation should be added
into contract renewal decision. If the opinions about an employee is tend to be negative, the
contract with this employee might need to be stopped. Some programs and trainings to address
teamwork could be used in Mitchell Memorial Hospital. 3.If you were Prescott, how would you
plan to conduct the contract renewal conversation. What would your goals be? What issues would
you raise, and why, and how would you raise them?
Firstly, I would admit that Ventura is a great surgeonand his technically skills are highly
recognized by all employees in cardiovascular center. Due to his hard and excellent work, the
vascular department had been improved. He had contribution to the entire Mitchell Memorial
Hospital. But I think his issues working with other coworkers become interference to the whole
cardiovascular team. The renewal of the contract with him needs to re considered. I would address
the issues that the residents taught by him leave the program or is lack of operation experience.
Some surgeons working with him could hardly con duct operation under his control and couldn t
feel the value being in the team. There is some boundary issues with nursing staff. OR is not a

Criminal Behavior And The Justice System Essay
Incarceration rates are extremely costly and the rates of incarceration are alarmingly high in the
United States. Individuals engage in criminal behaviors for many reasons. Although the reasons
are numerous and vary, the justice system has attempted to narrow down the causes of criminal
behavior. The justice system has also put into place specialty courts that are designed to better
address these particular causes of criminal behavior. The goal of these courts is to better address
the individual s reason that they engaged in criminal behavior in hopes that with the additional
support, in the future the individual will become a productive member of society. What are
specialty Courts? Specialty courts are becoming more and more popular throughout the country.
Specialty courts are also commonly referred to as problem solving courts. These courts mainly
focus on a specific type of criminal offense or a cause of a criminal offense. Specialty courts
differ from the traditional court system. Traditional court systems are not always equipped to
effectively deal with certain needs of the offenders that they come into contact with. Specialty
courts are set up to help better address certain issues and are able to provide options that are
specific to the offender s needs. In addition, specialty courts tend to take on less severe cases,
which also help decongest the traditional system. Specialty courts usually have staff that specialize
and are trained on the specific type of court

In Green Days By Shellie Shellie
Examination of Literary Character Shellie in Green Days by The River Shellie Lammy is
presented by Michael Anthony, Green Days by The River, originally published in 1967 as an
adolescent boy aged 15 who lives in Mayaro. Shellie, also referred to as Shell, is caught in the
developmental process as he works through the emotional and biological changes that comes with
transitioning from childhood to adulthood. In the story, this transition is paralleled to the changes
in his environment that he experiences as his family, due to the illness of his father, moves from
Pierre Hill which is described as the bush in the novel to an inland village in Mayaro. During this
period, Shell experiences an array of changes associated with transitioning from a boy to a man. He

In this paper I will attempt to apply to Shell s character some developmental concepts covered in
this class. Framed in Eric Erikson s Psychosocial Stages of Development, I will look at Shellie as
he discovers his self system; and, some of the trajectories and transition points which he
experiences. If we were to apply a theory to understand exactly where Shell was in his
developmental process, Eric Erikson Psychosocial Stages of Development, particularly the fifth
stage of development, Identity vs Role Confusion may be most applicable. This stage focuses on
individuals ages 12 18; and speaks about the individual searching for a sense of self and personal
identity as they explore their value and belief system, (Schaffer, 2006). Similar to what we have
read about Shell s journey; Erikson goes on to explain that the individual becomes independent and
begin thinking about goals, possible career options, relationships and focuses a lot of energy into
fitting into social groups and society on the whole, (Schaffer,

An Essay On Landscape Photography
Landscape Photography
You can follow some rules for getting beautiful image. For Landscape Photography following the
techniques, you will hold the perfect moment and get vivid pictures. Thus, you will be able to
capture some amazing beauty that you see.
Learn More About Landscape Photography
Reading the article, you will learn more about Landscape Photography. Here are given some
techniques to follow.
1. Depth of field
Many landscape photographers desire an image which appears sharp throughout the scene, so that
elements of foreground interest, such as a rock in a lake, look just as sharp as the distant horizon.
This can be achieved relatively easily using the principles of depth of field whereby the smaller an
aperture you use, such as f/22, the greater the area both before and beyond the point of focus also ...

Capture Movement
Most people think about landscapes they think of calm, serene and passive environments
however landscapes are rarely completely still and to convey this movement in an image will add
drama, mood and create a point of interest. Wind in trees, waves on a beach, water flowing over a
waterfall, birds flying over head, moving clouds make image nice.
Capturing this movement generally means you need to look at a longer shutter speed. This means
more light hitting your sensor which will mean you need to either go for a small Aperture, use
some sort of a filter or even shoot at the start or end of the day when there is less light.
8. Work with the Weather
A scene can change dramatically depending upon the weather at any given moment. So, choosing
the right time to shoot is of real importance. An overcast day threatening to rain might provide you
with a much better opportunity to create an image with real mood and ominous overtones. Look for
storms, wind, mist, dramatic clouds, sun shining through dark skies, rainbows, sunsets and sunrises
etc and work with these variations in the weather rather than just waiting for the next sunny blue sky

Three Possible New Products Or New Product Line Extensions
A) List three possible new products or new product line extensions.
1) Titleist Pro V1 extra padded, slip resistant socks 2) Titleist Pro V1 t shirt 3) Titleist Pro V1 golf
grips
B) Why did you think of these products?
1)
I thought of the Titleist Pro V1 extra padded, slip resistant socks because golfers normally wear
socks that are a little higher than the shoe. On the rims of the socks that wraps around the ankle
we would have Titleist Pro V1 in big letters to promote the Titleist Pro V1 brand. Also, there is
usually nothing worse than a sock slipping off in a shoe to only find a big blister later, so having
the sock be extra padded and slip resistant is likely to ensure comfort and blister free feet.

I believe that the Titleist Pro V1 extra padded, slip resistant socks will have the best chance of
succeeding in the market compared to the other products I ve listed above.
Question # 2:
A) Please respond to each of these considerations for the one chosen new product of your Product
Group:
1) Will it be simple to produce, using existing manufacturing systems? Titleist Pro V1 extra padded,
slip resistant socks will be fairly simple to produce using existing manufacturing systems since
Titleist already makes embroidered golf towels. Therefore, making a few tweaks like changing
the towels fabric to the socks fabric to make and embroider the rims of the socks likely wont
alter the current manufacturing systems greatly. This will likely help keep the costs to make
the Titleist Pro V1 extra padded, slip resistant socks low since the same machinery can be used.
2) What is the Selling Proposition ? The selling proposition for this product will be Titleist Pro
V1 extra padded, slip resistant socks, designed to protect you even in harsh conditions . It s likely
that whoever reads this selling proposition will feel confident the socks will benefit their well
being. The selling proposition could also help the Titleist Pro V1 brand be seen as caring since the
socks are made to help the consumers.
3) Does it have a different target market from your established products? Titleist Pro V1 extra

JosГ© Antonio Navarro Research Paper

Analysis Of Elie Wiesel s Life Is Beautiful
I don t know how I survived; I was weak, rather shy; I did nothing to save myself. A miracle?
Certainly not. ... It was nothing more than chance (Weisel vii viii). Many people believe that Elie
Wiesel survived the Holocaust in order to write his memoir on his experiences being a Jewish boy
in Auschwitz, but he believes that he just got lucky. Elie Wieselwent to Auschwitz when he was
fifteen years old. In his memoir he writes about his experiences during Holocaust, which are not
too pleasant. Roberto Benigni grew up in Italy with his father who worked in a camp during the
Holocaust. Roberto retells the stories of the Holocaust in his movie Life is Beautiful where he acts,

In Wiesel s memoir, death and violence are extremely prevalent throughout the memoir. He
provides examples of the death and violence with the German soldiers and how they treat the
workers in the camp throughout the entirety of the memoir. Wiesel writes about the complete
annihilation of the people in Auschwitz, such as how the ones unfit to work were sent to the
gas chambers to die and then they were burned in the crematorium. One of the biggest evidence
of death and violence in the memoir is towards the end when Elie and his father are in the cattle
car that had a hundred people inside. These people in the cattle car all were workers in the
camps and all were hungry and willing to do anything for food, so when bread was thrown in a
mass fight broke out over the bread. A boy killed his father to get the bread and he was then
killed by someone else for the bread. At the end of this very violent ride only twelve people
walked out alive of the hundred that originally went on. This was the most violent event that
occurs in memoir that was the prisoners are attacking the other prisoners. Another place in
Wiesel s example of the Holocaust that violence and death are evident is towards the middle
when a boy gets hung. Wiesel recalls a boy who is publicly is hung in the camp for all to see and
then goes into detail about his lifeless body, how it has the tongue hanging from his gaping
mouth adding to the morbidity of the event (Weisel 63). In Benigni s movie Life is Beautiful
death and violence is almost negligible. The only major points in the movie that involve either
death or violence is when Guido stumbles upon a mass pile of dead bodies trying to look for a
way out of the death camp with Giosue, and when Guido is killed at the end of the movie. Benigni
may only provide the viewer with just these two examples because the whole movie his character
Guido is trying to hide

  • 3. The s Equine And Aquatic Therapy Services Bethany s Equine and Aquatic Therapy Services, Incorporated, more widely known as BEATS, Inc., is a treatment facility that utilizes both hippotherapy and aquatic therapy for children with a variety of disabilities (BEATS, n.d.). Aquatic therapy employs the use of water as a means to treat various conditions by aiding in reducing chronic pain and enabling a wider range of motion (Oeverman, n.d.). Hippotherapy is a lesser known method of treating mental, physical, and sensory disabilities by using horses. When ridden, the movements of the horses spine and hips mimic the movements of walking or running for those who cannot. Even when stationary, the horses consistent breathing stimulates the muscles of the individual riding that cannot be as readily stimulated with the use of any other mechanism (B. Nugent, personal communication, February 25, 2016). This unique form of therapyenables individuals to work on balance and strength. Above all, hippotherapy is incredibly beneficial in enhancing the motivation of disabled clients. Because the children are used to clinical settings, they do not realize that the session is a part of their treatment; instead, they are simply having fun. As the occupational therapist walks close by, often times engaging the child with the use of props, photographs, or games, they are still able to work with the child in the areas of need (Applegate, 2011). BEATS incorporates these two methods as a way of engaging disabled children and efficiently ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Risk Profile Understand your risk profile. A risk profile is a way of finding the optimal level of investment for someone that takes to account the risk required, risk capacity and the risk tolerance. This is important because it gives the optimal level of investment which will give you the most money gain. Make your choice of investment. I am going to going on a growth asset investment as I have a life ahead of me so that means I have a long time to recover and get the money back that I have lost. Buy shares through a fund. A managed fund is when your sum of money and other investors money are pooled together and an investment manager buys and sells assets on your behalf. Advantages of managed funds are that investment manager is a professional and knows what he/she is doing and has access to a variety of resources that you might not have. However the disadvantages are that you have very little control with what he/she does with your money.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A share is when you own part of a business. So you can buy parts of businesses in the share market, like BHP. The two main ways that you make income from shares are by selling them for capital gain or getting a dividend. The advantages in this is that if this business is doing well your profits will also go up and if the business gets any profit they share this through the shareholders in form of a dividend. The disadvantages are that if the business isn t doing well and the share prices fall then your sell price of the share decreases and you can t make as much capital gain from it or you might even lose money. The other way that you can lose money is if the business you own a share in goes bankrupt, this means that you can sell your shares for as much and sometimes they might be worth ... • 5. Type Of Heroes In To Kill A Mockingbird There are many types of heroes but if you look further into them one might find that, mostly, they can all be put into one of three categories. First there are the Superheroes. They are the ones with larger than life powers. They are often found in comic books and movies. The Superheroes are arguably the most well known type of heroes. Great examples include, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Spiderman. The other type of heroes are the Vigilante. The Vigilante are the heroes that save the day but are wanted by the police. In the book, To Kill A Mockingbird , by Harper Lee a lawyer named Atticus Finch is an example of someone being a hero by doing their job. Atticus Finch is a fictional lawyer who lives in the fictional town of Maycomb County, Alabama. He is the father of the book s main characters, Jeremy Jem Finch and Jean Louise Scout Finch. In the book a, which was set in the 1930s, a black man named Tom Robinson was accused of raping a white girl. No lawyer wanted to help him because of his race, so Atticus decided to defend him even though he knew he would lose. Even though the evidence was more than enough to prove that Tom was innocent, he was found guilty. He was killed in prison with the prison guards claiming he tried to escape even though evidence said otherwise. Atticus became a hero to all of the blacks in Maycomb. He did not care about the color of Tom s skin. The book was set in a time where racism and segregation were everywhere especially in Alabama. Atticus knew he couldn t win the case but he tried anyway. He proved that one can be a hero by just doing their job and treating others like human beings and not differently because of the color of their skin. The movie, The Guardian, provides examples of other everyday heroes. The main characters are Ben Randall and Jake Fisher. They are Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers. • 6. Republican Party Research Paper As many American Liberals have noticed the Democratic Party, supposedly their party, has been losing big electorally. The presidency, the majority of state governorships, both houses of congress and the majority of state assemblies have been lost by the Democrats to the Republican Party. This has left many Democratic citizens wondering, what happened? Why did their party suddenly fall from favor with the voting public? Though I do not hold myself out as having a definitive answer I do have a hunch as to why the Democrats have been losing big at the polls. And fair warning, though I will try to keep this as neutral as possible political biases do have a pesky way of sneaking into these things. A major difference between the Democratic Party ... They don t get hung up on soundness of arguments nor their basis in factuality. All they focus on is saying what they need to say in order to win votes. A big technique that I ve seen used, especially by Donald Trump is appealing to confirmation bias, which my inner philosophy minor reminds me is a logical fallacy. Nevertheless it works and Trump won far more support than anyone predicted he would. This tactic is one that is commonly used by marketers to elicit a particular behavior from groups of people and it transfers over seamlessly to the political realm. The legal and academic argumentation techniques used by the Democrats were never meant to be used to elicit any behavior as such it comes as no surprise that they don t transfer over to politics nearly as ... • 10. Rhetorical Analysis Of Henry s Speech Paragraph One In the beginning of the speech, Henry uses a cautious but also assertive tone. In delivering this speech, Henry intended to highlight the problems caused by Britain, and convince the American people to fight back against British rule. Phrases such as the majesty of heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings and nothing less then a question of freedom or slavery showcase usage of antithesis in the speech. Henry is appealing to the patriotism and emotions of his audience by mentioning things such as a question of freedom or slavery , the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country , and the very worth gentlemen who have just addressed the House . By comparing the majesty of heaven to earthly kings , Henry is appealing to ethos, or the audience s concept of ethics. The phrase freely, and without reserve is an example of parallelism. References to God are an example of allusion, as most of Henry s audience practiced Christianity. Paragraph Two The purpose of this section of the talk is to show people s desire to ignore the truth about the state of their country, and to warn against doing so. Henry is trying to show how one s default or natural response to the hardships they were facing at the hands of British rule might be to turn their head the other way. Henry s reference to Ezekiel 12:2 ( having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not ) was a way to draw attention to injustices that he saw among the American people. Because most ... Prince started the company hoping luck was at his side; he bet his money on the fact that the government was getting more and more eager to use the aid of businesses to put people on the front line. Luckily for Prince, this game of chance paid off. After September 11th the private security companies saw a major advancement in the industry, the government rapidly privatizing jobs previously reserved for only uniformed troops. Although the presence of these contractors are good and useful protection for the military presence already in Iraq, there are many problems as the rules and regulations that the contractors must follow still aren t set in stone. In addition, because there is no real front in the war, the private contractors are scattered in non combat as well as combative zones, dissolving the distinction between an actual soldier and a privately contracted protector of the troops. This blurring of lines makes it easier for one to begin to see these individuals as mercenaries (individuals fighting strictly for personal benefit) and not contractors employed for extra protection, which is banned by the Geneva Convention. These contractors have obligation to their employers, not to the US, and because of that do not have to follow any military code of conduct, but only follow the business rules of the company that hired them. Therefore there is an overcapacity of more than 100,000. One consequence could be a falling price and the production of waste. A fall in the price would lead to a decline of the return on investment as well as the cash flow. That is why it is necessary to use fewer stations in order to save resources. In the calculation it can be said that they only 7 stations are needed. With this number of workstations one could achieve the highest efficiency at this moment. But the company will grow rapidly. In the 1950 s, the dream appears in a hazy view of the perfect life. People are almost brainwashed everyone s life looks exactly the same. The narrator of this story is a lonely alcoholic who begins to distrust his beloved cat, and so he harms it and later kills it, just because he wants to be in control. He wants to prove his power. Lastly comes the civil rights movement, where people are willing to give their lives for equality. Their dream is for everyone to be treated the same way, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, and disabilities. Unfortunately, the struggle for civil rights is somewhat still a reality as author Barbara Ehrenreich documents in her novel Nickel and Dimed. Her novel is a personal account of a social experiment performed on people with low wage lifestyles. Her book smashes stereotypes to try to help break down the barriers of discrimination. All of these time periods and literary works are similar in the fact that they clearly portray the American Dream, however the Dream is completely different based on several variables and seems ... • 14. Analysis Of Ring Around The Rosie My mom used to sing Ring Around the Rosie to me and my siblings. Although the memory is vague I can remember the fun we had singing the nursery rhythm. We would hold hands and form a circle, swaying to the words. We would first start out slow and increase our speed so when we got to the last verse we would fall down with some of us on top of each other. I chose this because of the fond memories in my childhood and the fun we all had. Another reason I chose this is because it reminds me of my childhood and growing up with my siblings. Ring Around the Rosie , is a fun interactive game that kids hold hands with each other and form a circle. The kids all say Ashes, Ashes and they all fall down. This is the kid s favorite part of the song because they get to fall down while having fun. This nursery rhyme is a fun way to have kids play with each other and have a wonderful time doing it. Another meaning of this nursery rhyme could be associated with the Black Death. This is because whenever the children sing the song and they say all fall down that could mean the death of another person. Another reason this could signify the Black Death is that when it said ashes it means that person has died and is cremated after they die from the bubonic plague. For instance, government statistics on a country s agriculture will help decide how to stratify a sample and, once sample estimates have been calculated, these can be used to project those estimates to the population. On their pilgrimage, each of the characters tells a different story in a contest to win a free dinner when they get to Canterbury. Many of the tales have similar morals, but the tellers are very different, such as the tales of the Friar and the Pardoner. Though both of these tales have a similar plot and can be interpreted in a similar way, their tellers are significantly different. Although the Friar and the Pardoner are very different people, they both have a similarly structured story, using a symbolic demons as the antagonist, and with very similar plotlines. During the late 14th century until about the 16th century, Italy and other European countries underwent a time of rebirth of the Ancient Greek and Roman classics. This era was known as the Renaissance. The citizens of Europe were surrounded by advancements in technology, music, and culture. However, one of the most prevalent changes that is still in affect today is the newly founded techniques in the arts. Artists began to think outside of the box, and they made some of the best paintings of their time. Perspective was important during the Italian Renaissance because it made artworks look more real and three dimensional. Perspective was a technique in which an artist would use lines to establish a foreground, middleground, and a background. In centuries past, many of the artists works would look flat because they didn t use perspective. In the PietГЎ Mary looks farther away from the audience than Jesus body does. At the same time, Jesus head takes a spot in the middleground of the artwork. He is able to depict a Jesus foot to look like it is on top of or mixing with the dress that Mary is wearing. This was important because in the past, many works of arts backgrounds would all mix together to create a flat painting. In his sculpture, Michaelangelo uses perspective to give a more realistic feeling to the artwork. One of the most prominent developments in Michaelangelo s sculpture is his use of realism and expression. In his sculpture, realism is shown through the creases of Mary s dress and veil and the ways that the body s of the two subjects were molded. They revolutionised music and the progress they made has had an everlasting effect. Just because Brahms was not part of this movement does not mean he did not contribute to the progress of music. He developed Symphonies to a stage they had very rarely seen before. His work influenced the development of future symphonies, and that is progress. Brahms managed to be a progressive composer in a conservative form of music. So to say Brahms was both a conservative and progressive composer is a valid opinion. Analysis Of The Poem Harlem James Mercer Langston Hughes was an American poet; a Joplin, Missouri native and an active, versatile writer, earning acclaim as a poet, novelist, playwright and columnist. He was one of the first poets to explore an innovative sing songy, stylized delivery called jazz poetry. As an African American, his point of view, collectively synergized with this then new literary art, catapulted his writings between the 1930s 1960s. He is often credited as the leader of the Harlem Renaissance, and famously wrote about the period that the negro was in vogue. (Langston). There, with its indication of weight, the reader draws comparison to a dream being a burden an unbearable, unattainable measuring stick in the speaker s life, or in this piece s case, America s life. He saw the dreams of many residents of Harlem, New York disintegrate in the wake of World War II. Some read this poem as a warning, believing that the speaker argues that deferred dreams will lead to social unrest. Notably, Lorraine Hansberry chose a line from this poem as the title of her famous play, A Raisin in the Sun, which explores the idea of delayed dreams in the world of a black family living in the South Side of Chicago during the 1950s. • 52. Analysis Of Elie Wiesel s Life Is Beautiful I don t know how I survived; I was weak, rather shy; I did nothing to save myself. A miracle? Certainly not. ... It was nothing more than chance (Weisel vii viii). Many people believe that Elie Wiesel survived the Holocaust in order to write his memoir on his experiences being a Jewish boy in Auschwitz, but he believes that he just got lucky. Elie Wieselwent to Auschwitz when he was fifteen years old. In his memoir he writes about his experiences during Holocaust, which are not too pleasant. Roberto Benigni grew up in Italy with his father who worked in a camp during the Holocaust. Roberto retells the stories of the Holocaust in his movie Life is Beautiful where he acts, directs and produces. In the movie he, his child Giosue, and his wife... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Wiesel s memoir, death and violence are extremely prevalent throughout the memoir. He provides examples of the death and violence with the German soldiers and how they treat the workers in the camp throughout the entirety of the memoir. Wiesel writes about the complete annihilation of the people in Auschwitz, such as how the ones unfit to work were sent to the gas chambers to die and then they were burned in the crematorium. One of the biggest evidence of death and violence in the memoir is towards the end when Elie and his father are in the cattle car that had a hundred people inside. These people in the cattle car all were workers in the camps and all were hungry and willing to do anything for food, so when bread was thrown in a mass fight broke out over the bread. A boy killed his father to get the bread and he was then killed by someone else for the bread. At the end of this very violent ride only twelve people walked out alive of the hundred that originally went on. This was the most violent event that occurs in memoir that was the prisoners are attacking the other prisoners. Another place in Wiesel s example of the Holocaust that violence and death are evident is towards the middle when a boy gets hung. Wiesel recalls a boy who is publicly is hung in the camp for all to see and then goes into detail about his lifeless body, how it has the tongue hanging from his gaping mouth adding to the morbidity of the event (Weisel 63). In Benigni s movie Life is Beautiful death and violence is almost negligible. The only major points in the movie that involve either death or violence is when Guido stumbles upon a mass pile of dead bodies trying to look for a way out of the death camp with Giosue, and when Guido is killed at the end of the movie. Benigni may only provide the viewer with just these two examples because the whole movie his character Guido is trying to hide ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
