Obama Vs. Clinton And Burr Vs Ross Essay
In early September, Burr was leading Ross with 46.7% to 43% according to Real Clear Politics. By
early November, he was only ahead by an average of 1.5%. While North Carolina is widely
considered a battleground state, Five Thirty Eight gave Burr a 73.4% chance of winning reelection.
With the exception of a drop in the middle of October, Burrs chances of winning were consistent
throughout the Senate race as shown below in figure 2.
Although Burr was never able to reach 50% in the polls, he exceeded that threshold on Election Day
and defeated Ross by almost 6%. In order to analyze the political climate further, I will be comparing
the exit polls for both Trump vs. Clinton and Burr vs Ross. This will help explain why Ross was
entering the Senate race with a disadvantage despite media pundits arguing that higher turnout in
presidential election years should benefit Ross. Although Five Thirty Eight gave Clinton the slight
edge to defeat Trump in North Carolina, Trump s was able to carry the state with a modest
performance. Although Real Clear Politics had Burr winning by an average of 2%, that was certainly
below the 5.7% final result. In a three way race between Trump, Clinton, and Johnson, Trump was
predicted to win North Carolina by about 1%. The actual results, however, showed Trump winning by
about 4%. Although this paper is focusing on the Senate race, it s certainly important to note the
impact that a presidential candidate can have on the electoral map, particularly

Teleological Argument Analysis
The argument of choice that I ve decided to use is the argument for design (Teleological argument)
which states that complex objects themselves can very well prove the existence of powerful creator or
a God. The Teleological argument tries to simplify the idea with a watchmaker stating that all the
constantly moving cogs and devices in the watch prove the existence of a higher intelligence which is
something incomprehensible that any organism could perceive in the present life. This leads to the
idea of an uncaused causer since God is presumed to be the first entity that was able to put forth the
universe in an ongoing motion of time. Everything in the watch is meant to represent the universe,
planets, stars, and living organisms at work and in motion. The premise of this argument is
demonstrated through the claim of God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the famous criticisms of the Teleological argument is that just because the Watch exists doesn t
necessarily proves that it has order since the idea of order is imposed by the human s definition of
pandemonium. Even if the universe if it was concluded that order was a part of our creation, the
analogy could not be fully plausible since the human race has no instances of any sort of universes
being created by a supernatural entity. Lastly, if the analogy came to acceptance, we would only be
able to see so much intelligence and good will as the horizon allow us. If the universe, specifically the
earth, grew as a plant of some kind then it broadcasts imperfections due to all the evil and suffering
that takes place throughout the entirety of the earth and its residents. The reconciliation of evil stands
to be the largest opposition in the face of an Omni benevolent God. I believe that the criticisms of the
teleological arguments are well stated since the thought of a universe having a purpose or order seems
to be irrelevant in my own point of

Nadine Gordimer s Country Lovers
It has been known throughout the years the class conflicts between people around the world and how
it affects many, but during today s times it is not as bad as the times when racial segregation took
place between South Africa s white minority and non white majority. Nadine Gordimer, is a born and
raised South African novelist whose writings focused on exile and alienation. She wrote many novels
and short stories that related to South Africa s unjust political situation between the whites and non
whites in the 1900 s. One of the short stories that she wrote is Country Lovers which portrays the life
in South Africa during those times and how apartheid, a policy that controlled any type of relation

Nadine conveys the way that the non whites were not able to, or were not given the opportunity to
become someone in life. Instead, they stayed as the working class. Class seemed to have played a big
part in the reading because it draws attention to the way that the whites, which were the higher class,
were treated and how they had better chances of success in life than blacks, which were the lower or
working class. Growing up the white children were sent off to the best schools setting them in the path
of prosperity while the black children had little to no school and had not many opportunities. Although
most of the black children get some schooling, they drop every years farther behind the grades passed
by the white children... (p. 332) Black South Africans did not have the money to send their children to
good schools which did not allow them to become educated like the children of the rich white
families. They, unfortunately, had to grow up to be illiterate farm workers and servants just like their
families; following their traditions and ways of living.
Moreover, Paulus and Thebedi, the two main characters in the story, were not able to share or grow
their love for each

Everything That Rises Must Converge Essay
Living in a lie: Holding on to the past A new generation has taken place and some people make certain
adjustments and can over all accept the change. Segregation was a serious issue for people, thoughts
and emotions were the last to be considered. People that were sensitive to this particular generation
just turned the other way and did not get involved. The men worked, women stayed home, no
questions were asked and everyone lived happily. In the short story, Everything That Rises Must
Converge by Flannery O Connor, is about change, acceptance and treating everyone as equal.
Desegregation has taken over and Justin s mother has a hard time accepting this. Her generation was
living a high style life, where she had slaves and whatever she wanted was provided. This new
generation has taken a turn because she doesn t have that lifestyle anymore. She has become racial,
stubborn and her son Julian thinks he can make her change, and see the reality they are living now.

Her grandfather had a plantation and owned two hundred slaves. Her father was a former governor of

The Applicant Pool Increased At 57 % Of Business Schools...
In 2015, the applicant pool increased at 57% of business schools worldwide (Gellman). Today, a
Masters of Business Administration defines a businessperson and unlocks the doors to the financial
world. Modern business hinges on education, but when formal schooling was not widely available,
artists considered other factors integral to a flourishing businessman and financial success. Authors,
playwrights, and filmmakers recognized the value of formal education, but imagined experience,
social dexterity, and observation as the bedrock of economic prosperity.
If You Know Not Me You Know Nobody, Roxana, and Working Girl depict a menagerie of
educational backgrounds. Although she is literate and skilled in conversation, Roxana has received no
formal education in business. In Post Renaissance England, Thomas Gresham would most likely have
attended only grammar school and apprenticed with a businessman. By far, the characters in Working
Girl are the most formally schooled. Tess graduated from business school with honors, and Jack
Trainor received Ivy League degrees. Despite varying levels of knowledge and education, these
characters are economically successful, suggesting that financial security comes from other
dimensions of human knowledge.
Through Thomas Gresham and Hobson, Thomas Heywood argues that fiscal education is based on
observation, experience, and the ability to assimilate economic innovation with traditional power
structures. Walking through Dr. Nowell s gallery,

The Watchers Research Paper
Have you ever seen a picture with eyes that seem to follow you? Most people feel uneasy around
them, but most people also learn to shrug the feeling off. It s true that a lot of paintings are just
paintings, but some . . . are more. Those are The Watchers, and The Watchers are everywhere.
The Watchers were the first to cross over from the north; they crossed so long ago that by the time
Dragons came, The Watchers were a legend even to them. But the truth is this: they re out there and
they ll never die out.
The Watchers aren t the paintings. If that were the case, they would ve died out, vanished, or been
forgotten long ago. The paintings aren t The Watchers, just like your shadow isn t yourself. But just
like you re never far from your shadow, The Watchers are never far from their paintings. What is a
creature that can sit in silence for eternity and do nothing but observe and collect information?
Why do they collect information? Everything in this world has a purpose. What is the use of a creature
that only watches? The truth is, no one knows. Some say that they report back to the Storytellers, who
shape the history of mankind. Others say they report to The Weavers; who can bend the very fabric of
existence. There is a third option: they report ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Effect Of Temperature On The Earth Surface Energy Budget
1. Introduction
In 1762, Scottish chemist Joseph Black first introduced the term Latent Heat . He defined this term as
the quantity of heat absorbed or released by a substance undergoing a change of state at a constant
temperature and pressure [2]. Black, used the term latent heat in the context of calorimetry [3] when
he observed a change in volume of a thermodynamic system whilst it was held at a constant
temperature.
Two more common forms of enthalpies are latent heat of fusion (solid to liquid) and latent of
vaporization (liquid to vapour). Both of these changes are endothermic as they absorb energy whilst
changing state, which is important in the science of Meteorology. Meteorology studies the processes
of transpiration, evaporation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is because when heat is added to a system whilst changing state there is no change in
temperature.
Specific heat capacity is an important value for many reasons; substances with a small specific heat
capacity are useful for tools used in cooking such as pans and kettles because their temperature needs
to be raised quickly whereas substances that have a large specific heat are more suitable for insulation
as an absorption of heat will cause a smaller change in temperature.
2. Theory
2.1 Latent Heat
Latent heat derives from the amount of work required to overcome the forces that hold together the
atoms or molecules in a substance. Attractive forces maintain the crystalline lattice of a solid and each
atom oscillates to and from its average centre of mass position. As the temperature of this structure
increases the oscillations become progressively more violent until the melting point is reached and the
attractive forces holding the lattice together are no longer sufficient enough to maintain the crystalline
structure s stability.
Further heat (latent heat of fusion) must be added for the substance to complete a full change of state.
Once enough heat is added to the system the substance will melt and become liquid which results in
the atoms and molecules to no longer maintain a structured crystal lattice but instead are free to move.

A Dolls House Essay
It has been said that, some people think that it s holding on that makes one strong; sometimes it s
letting go. In Henrik Ibsen s A Doll s House, Nora s departure becomes the controversial topic of
debate for many readers; was Nora Helmer justified in leaving her husband and kids or not? It is
argued that both parents are needed for a child to succeed in life and that separation is an act of
cowardness. However, several readers also debate that Nora was justified in leaving Torvald and her
kids. The mistreatment Nora constantly faced through offensive nicknames, her child like mentality
that made her unfit to take care of her children and her identity as a doll demonstrate her need to leave
the Helmer household.
Nora s maltreatment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, this behaviour becomes evident when Nora offers to help Mrs. Linde and she responds,
it is doubly kind in you, for you know so little of the burdens and troubles of life (1.359 60) proceeded
by you are a child, Nora (1.363). Consequently, Nora responds in an immature manner by tossing her
head and crossing the stage (1.702 03). Evidence of her childish behaviour and naïve mentality reveals
the underlying need for her to grow and to do so she must find herself. In summary, the family nurse
and Nora s immaturity and naivety justify her decision to leave Torvald and her kids to find herself to
gain the independence needed to become the mother that her children needed.
Nora was a doll trapped in a doll house and if she did not leave soon she would remain there forever.
Nora has been a doll her whole life; Nora s father called [Nora] his doll child, and he played with [her]
just as [she] used to play with [her] dolls (3.608 09). When Nora married, she was simply transferred
from Papa s hands into [Torvald] s (3.612 613) like the toy she was. Furthermore, the transfer of her
was also a transfer of control. If Nora differed from [her father], [she] concealed the fact, because he
would not have liked it (3.606 07). In like manner, Nora concealed the macaroons she ate from
Torvald because it would anger him, disrupting his control and ruining the appearance of his prized

That the district courts shall have.... cognizance, concurrent with the courts of the several States, or the

The Alien Tort Statute had been used a mere 21 times since the law was passed in 1789. The courts

activist and lawyer Peter Weiss, requesting that he find some way to prosecute Pena Irala before he
was deported back to Paraguay where he would be safe from prosecution. Weiss had to be creative and

Animal Farm Essay on Utopia
THE UTOPIAN DREAM, WHILE NOBLE, IS SHORT SIGHTED BECAUSE IT FAILS TO
ACCOUNT FOR THE FLAWS IN HUMAN NATURE. George Orwell s allegorical novel Animal
Farm demonstrates the rapid shift from hopeful Utopian Dream, to reproachful dystopian nightmare as
a result of fundamental flaws in human nature, such as avarice, selfishness and the thirst for power
over others. In the novel, the animals are promised a better life if they revolt and institute the system
of Animalism, then they are promised a better life if they build the windmill and, if all else fails, the
raven promises a better afterlife on Sugarcandy Mountain . However, the animals ultimately never
achieve their utopia because of the avaricious and power hungry nature of Napoleon ... Show more

The resigned apathy and passivity of some of the animals allows for faster erosion of the dream of
equality and allows for the pigs to maintain the power that wasn t rightfully theirs. A typical example
of general passivity towards the pigs actions was Benjamin, the old donkey. Having knowledge of the
pig s hypocrisy, Benjamin consciously decided against actions of rebellion against the pigs, instead
resigning himself to the fact that he could not help the situation. After Boxer s death, Clover is so
emotionally destroyed by his sudden disappearance that she ceases to do anything. In accepting his
death as the pigs tell her, she is being passive and not searching for her own conclusions, even though
she had doubts about it. It these, plus many more examples of passivity towards the pig s reign, that
concludes in the animals having to forfeit any hope of the once so real, Utopian Dream. Animal Farm
is the story of the animals that rebel against their master in order to achieve their dream of a utopian
society. The book opens in an optimistic mood as Old Major in his speech describes a simple, natural
farm in which all the animals are free and equal. But gradually this energetic and positive mood
disappears, as the animals difficulties become progressively

The Influence Of Political Culture In The United States
Political culture is a persons set of attitudes or practices that are held by a group that shapes their
political behavior. This includes judgments, myths, beliefs and ideas about what makes a good society.
Political culture is a part of the government but it also has elements of history or traditions that may
impact the current regime. Political cultures are important because they shape a population s political
ideas or actions. The way the government can shape political culture or public opion is through
education, public events and things that have happened in the past. Political cultures vary from state to
state and sometimes it varies even within the state. Not all Americans share the same views but the

Causes Of Mass Hysteria In The Salem Witch Trials
What I think that brewed up mass hysteria in Salem, Mass. is religion, superstition of voodoo, crystal
balls, and fortune telling, and things like that, and one surprising factor that historians think. The bread
that was eaten in Salem was contaminated with a fungus that contributed to the Salem witch trials.
Puritans were extremely religious there wasn t one prayer that they didn t know they were awfully
superstitious of voodoo and fortune telling the puritans always that was somehow tied to Satan and
Satanism and should be never performed otherwise you would be acquainted with satan and such.
Some people think it was a slave named Tituba because she was caught doing things like, reading
crystal balls ,and telling fortunes. For instance when she performed these things she was also with
three little girls doing those activities, and people thought that it was voodoo, her owner Samuel Parris
was beating her forcing to confess herself as a witch or else she would continue to be beaten and then
hanged, and she did as she was told and confessed as being a witch and she was thrown in jail after
that they started claiming that they saw the devil and spirits and were claiming to be attacked by the

Naked Bouncing Egg Research
What could be better than making a naked bouncing egg?! Making a glowing one, of course! This
activity teaches little scientists about egg anatomy and osmosis takes just a few minutes to set up but
is seriously egg citing! I think it s a good idea for teachers to participate in this experiment because it s
a good way to have fun.
First thing you will need is your materials which is: An egg, clear glass, vinegar, highlighters, and a
blacklight.
Second you have to know how to make a glowing bouncy egg and if you don t know how I will show
you how because it s surprisingly simple the hardest part is having to wait.
To start, I took the polyester cylinder out of the highlighter and squeezed it to extract as much of the
ink as I could. The easiest way was to use my fingers, so be prepared for a little mess. Next, I very
carefully added a raw egg to each of the glasses and covered them with white vinegar. The pink and
orange solutions were very bright, but the solution with the yellow highlighter turned almost clear
when the vinegar was added. Now all I had to do was wait. I could see bubbles forming on the surface
of the egg almost immediately, but I had to wait a couple of days to see the real results. Two days later,
I checked on the eggs and found that the shells had disintegrated. I ... Show more content on

balanced on both sides. The vinegar solution was mostly water with only a little vinegar and ink in it,
while inside the membrane is protein with a little water. So the glowing water molecules traveled from
the vinegar into the egg to try to balance the concentrations. The egg expanded and

Book Of Corinthians
The book of Corinthians is a letter written by Paul and was sent to the church at Corinthians because
they had allowed their sinful behavior to turn them away from following Christ. Paul warned the
church to remember that they had been sanctified in Christ. The church struggled with its commitment
and relationship with Christ. The Corinthian church was lacking knowledge pertaining to their
spiritual gifts. They were reminded by Paul that they possessed all the gifts. The church of today is
more disconnected, wherefore, unaware of Christ after their salvation. When the church s not closely
connected to Christ the old way of life can reappear in the relationship.
Paul gives an account of his conversation in Acts 9: 1. This allows us to know that Christ was working
within his life, in the mist of his sins. It also confirms that Christ saves sinners, and uses them for the
glory of God. After his conversation, Paul was called to be an Apostle, Acts 9:15. He was
commissioned by Christ to do the work of an Apostle. Paul reminds us today that fellowship with
Christ make life worth living. Even though we will experience, confusion, sickness, and other

Conflict Resolution And Components Paper
This paper provides the reader with information on conflict, the levels and the components. The paper
will provide information on how conflict can manifest in an organization or team. It will discuss
conflict resolution which it the final component of conflict and provide information on identification
of the issue. Baack advises that not all conflict is the same and outlines four levels of conflict, which
are intrapersonal, interpersonal, intragroup and intergroup. (Baack, 2012) Conflict that is intrapersonal

The conflict is what is defined as intragroup conflict because it is within the team. The team has a

Coordinator I position is the title given to new hires or people within the company that are

A Letter From Wiley Foxley
A letter from Wiley Foxley states the competitor Capital Staffing is to be sold. The details in the letter
explain that Capital Staffing currently has a huge portion of the market share in the areas it operates in
except Capital City. A proposed merger of Capital Staffing and StilSim has many benefits including
leveraging their core competencies (Dess, Lumpkin, Eisner McNamara, 2014). Capital Staffing
appears to have a huge part of the market in Mountainview, Plainview and Lakeside. Combining the
resources in Mountainview, Lakeside and Capital City would be a strong move for both companies.
Strength for StilSim would be the assets that come along with Capital Staffing. StilSim is going to
have to automate and become more efficient with its back office functions. Capital Staffing already
has software in place and has been using it successfully (Franklin University 2013). The level of
efficiency for StilSim would increase dramatically. Another strength would be the staff of Capital
Staffing. A fresh set of eyes and perspective would be beneficial to all at StilSim. The opportunities
are endless with the merging of these two companies. The company would be better equipped to enter
into new markets or provide additional services to its clients. The main weakness of merging the two
companies would be with the staff. There would be cultural changes, disengaged staff and moral
decreases (Iveybusinessjournal.com, 2015). Reorganization would need to be done to

Theme Of Sonnet 55
Sonnet 55 was written by William Shakespeare and can be found in the textbook on page 892.
Everyone wants to be remembered for something one way or another, and in Sonnet 55 Shakespeare
alludes to this. The theme of immortality is evident throughout the entire sonnet, and Shakespeare
does not stray away from it at all. Shakespeare s tone in the first quatrain of this sonnet comes off as a
bit arrogant, but it is necessary to get his point across. His tone then shifts to being negative, but
quickly becomes much more uplifting from the third quatrain until the end of the sonnet. Imagery of
decay and destruction are also used in this sonnet to support the points that Shakespeare wants to
make. The first quatrain instantly shows the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, it can be argued that Shakespeare is talking about how war causes the death of a
culture, which leads to changes and people being forgotten (Shmoop Editorial Team, 2008). When
wasteful war shall statues overturn (5) is an example of alliteration used to help the beginning of this
quatrain flow smoothly. Shakespeare uses personification to drive home the fact that death and fire
cannot destroy ones living memory (8) that resides in the lines of his sonnet: Nor Mars his sword nor
war s quick fire shall burn/the living record of your memory (7 8). Shakespeare deviates from decay
and destruction in the third quatrain to bring the theme of immortality back to the forefront. His tone
begins to sound more uplifting when talking about going against death: Gainst death and all oblivious
enmity/Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room (9 10). In saying this, Shakespeare wants
the readers to know that death is not concerned with who is going against it, so if this sonnet marches
forward though history the prince will always be praised. His arrogance in this poem briefly shows
itself again in this quatrain: your praise shall still find room/even in the eyes of all posterity/That wear
this world out to the ending doom (10 12). In

What many women think when they see a Victoria s Secret advertisement on TV is to put the
chocolate down and hit the gym. Why is this? To be beautiful and fit is a prerequisite to becoming a
model for their various lingerie campaigns. People all around the world tune in to watch the annual
Victoria s Secret Fashion Show, and see their Angels strut down the walkway in lingerie. In today s
society, being thin is considered attractive and acceptable what the ideal woman should look like.
While no one wishes to think him or herself vain, most people are affected by what the media portrays
as a standard for beauty.
This does not simply affect adolescents, but older generations as well. A Harvard study showed that up
to two thirds of underweight 12 year old girls considered themselves to be too fat (Fox). The media
portrays this standard of beauty as adequate and attainable. When one passes by the Victoria s Secret

perfection. But is it a fair representation of the average American woman? No. Advertisements such as
Victoria s Secret have been criticized for projecting an unrealistic image of what women should look

My Experience With Stressors, And What I Learned
Earlier in the quarter we were asked to make a list about things that stresses out. I have always
considered myself the type of person that rarely stresses over anything, so it was difficult to write
some down. After keeping track of stressors in my life for 10 days, I realized that I do stress about
issues more than I ever considered. Before this class, stress was not something I took into great
consideration. To my understanding, if you were suffering from stress that meant that you had serious
conditions like insomnia, weight gain, depressions or others things of that nature. This class has taught
me otherwise and now I am more conscious about my interactions with stressors. In this paper, I will
discuss my experience with stressors, how I managed to cope with stressors, and what I learned as a
result of this class so far.
Exploring My Personal Stressors
The reason I could not list life matters that stressed me out when Professor Garfin asked us to was,
because I would only think about the acute stressors. I could only think about the short term stressful
situations, the one where I found an appropriate solution quickly. Because of this, it made me come to
the conclusion that stress had no effect in my life. I did not think about the chronic stressors, or the
stressors that were long term and had no apparent solution. During the 10 day period, I did experience
multiple stressors that were both acute and chronic stressors. Fortunately, I dealt significantly more

The Value Of Love In Those Winter Sundays, By Robert Hayden
Love, in any form, is such that people find ways of celebrating it. The American poet Robert Hayden
honors this compelling emotion in the poem Those Winter Sundays. Those Winter Sundays is a
fourteen line literary work that gives a description of an event from the speaker s past. Although the
poem is a short description of an event past, much information can be read between the lines of few
words. Freelance writer Jeannine Johnson characterizes Hayden s work to honor the value of love s
simple, domestic services in our lives (Johnson). Moreover, the value of love in Those Winter Sundays
is underlined by the use of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic sensory images to emphasize the change in
the speaker s perspective of the events. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other than the title, the visual sensory images of the body of the poem also support the contrast and
change in the speaker s perspective. The first stanza implies the eagerness of the father to carry out
simple chores for his family as he does not fail to accomplish on Sundays the same task he tirelessly
does on every other day of the week...On every day, Monday through Saturday, and even on Sundays
too (Johnson, par. 1). The first line may denote the father s care, however, the nonchalance on the part
of the speaker in Sundays too my father got up early (Hayden 1) is also apparent. It could be that the
line is a mere statement of a simple recollection, but is also indicative of how the speaker trivializes
the father s early morning efforts. If in the first line the speaker offhandedly remarks about the early
morning efforts of the father, the speaker, in the following lines, shows more concern in sharing
minute details about the condition in which the father carried out his morning tasks. In fact, the
nonchalance in the first line suddenly changes as said line contributes to the intensity of the image of
and put his clothes on in the blueblack cold, / then with cracked hands that ached/ from labor in the
weekday weather made (Hayden 3 4). From the uninteresting normalness of the routine, the image

Communism is defined as a political and economical doctrine, the aim which is to abolish private
ownership of property and for profit enterprise and to replace these with public ownership and control
of industry, agriculture, and resources ( Communism ). The product of this government is supposed to
be a society free of class ranking based on wealth, property, and political power. The Soviet Union
was the first country to test these governmental strategies and it did not take long for the regime to

Prayer is the most power thing you have in your toolbox. There are so many things you can do true
this thing we call prayer. Prayer can get you out of trouble even when people are trying to put in you

signing orders and laws that don t make any sense are often times they do not line up with we as

Application:
When you have conversations with people they don t mean anything all to often we want to call up
people a gossip and just talk about our problems but that does not yield anything you still must go
back to what you were doing before the situation occurred, but when you talk to God that is a
conversation that has power. That is a conversation that has some backbone, you can pray to King

Decision to Move into an International Market
Terms and Definitions Upon a company making the decision to move into an international market
there are many economic terms, definitions and laws that are to be researched and understood. While
there are lots of terms and definitions, five of these terms include: multinational corporations,
economies of scale, imports and exports as part of GDP, foreign exchange market and exchange rates
and marginal rate of transformation. Each definition will be researched and defined below and their
importance to a company going global will be discussed.
Multinational Corporations
A multinational corporation or a MNC can be defined as a company operating in at least one other
country besides its home country. A MNC can be a closed system, in which it produces within said
country and sells to that country only. Most MNC s, though, are open systems in which they produce
in one country and sell to another. MNC s are driven by the law of supply and demand. Supply and
demand affect open systems differently as labor is in one country and the selling of products in
another and the cycle of products is on a much larger scale. A company looking to become
international, if incorporated, will become a multinational corporation.
II. Economies of Scale A. Factors that cause the cost of producing something to fall as the scale of its
output increases are known as economies of scale. An example is it might cost $5000 to produce 200
copies of a book but only $6000 to produce

Benefits Of A Car Is Necessary While Living On Campus
Here at FGCU, many students have concerns toward transportation and if a car is necessary while
living on campus. There are many resources throughout the University that make it possible for
students that do not have a car, to get around. The highly organized and preferred transportation is the
campus shuttles that go around to every dorm village and pick up students to bring them to the

On the FGCU website, there is a section called Transportation that shows all of the opportunities

Appropriation In Art History
Appropriation in art and art history refers to the practice of artists using pre existing objects or images
in their art with little transformation of the original (Tate, no date). Artists have been appropriating for
many centuries and tend to use the most iconic of masterpieces from the past and make them more
contemporary for today s style. The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the greatest examples
of this act. It is one of the most famous and well known paintings ever created; however the piece has
been manipulated by other artists, so much that the meaning behind the original is indefinite. If a piece
of which is so recognisable in our society be stolen from other artists, this leaves us with the question

This is a representation of the Marilyn Monroe Piece by Yu Youhan produced in the Chinese century

Youhan replicated the same method to Warhol s all time famous artwork but altered the subject of the

painting and Mao becomes the centre of attention and the main topic of the piece.
I am now going to discuss Cindy Sherman and her film scenes. She was a big believer in Feminism

  • 2. Obama Vs. Clinton And Burr Vs Ross Essay In early September, Burr was leading Ross with 46.7% to 43% according to Real Clear Politics. By early November, he was only ahead by an average of 1.5%. While North Carolina is widely considered a battleground state, Five Thirty Eight gave Burr a 73.4% chance of winning reelection. With the exception of a drop in the middle of October, Burrs chances of winning were consistent throughout the Senate race as shown below in figure 2. Although Burr was never able to reach 50% in the polls, he exceeded that threshold on Election Day and defeated Ross by almost 6%. In order to analyze the political climate further, I will be comparing the exit polls for both Trump vs. Clinton and Burr vs Ross. This will help explain why Ross was entering the Senate race with a disadvantage despite media pundits arguing that higher turnout in presidential election years should benefit Ross. Although Five Thirty Eight gave Clinton the slight edge to defeat Trump in North Carolina, Trump s was able to carry the state with a modest performance. Although Real Clear Politics had Burr winning by an average of 2%, that was certainly below the 5.7% final result. In a three way race between Trump, Clinton, and Johnson, Trump was predicted to win North Carolina by about 1%. The actual results, however, showed Trump winning by about 4%. Although this paper is focusing on the Senate race, it s certainly important to note the impact that a presidential candidate can have on the electoral map, particularly ... • 3. Teleological Argument Analysis The argument of choice that I ve decided to use is the argument for design (Teleological argument) which states that complex objects themselves can very well prove the existence of powerful creator or a God. The Teleological argument tries to simplify the idea with a watchmaker stating that all the constantly moving cogs and devices in the watch prove the existence of a higher intelligence which is something incomprehensible that any organism could perceive in the present life. This leads to the idea of an uncaused causer since God is presumed to be the first entity that was able to put forth the universe in an ongoing motion of time. Everything in the watch is meant to represent the universe, planets, stars, and living organisms at work and in motion. The premise of this argument is demonstrated through the claim of God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the famous criticisms of the Teleological argument is that just because the Watch exists doesn t necessarily proves that it has order since the idea of order is imposed by the human s definition of pandemonium. Even if the universe if it was concluded that order was a part of our creation, the analogy could not be fully plausible since the human race has no instances of any sort of universes being created by a supernatural entity. Lastly, if the analogy came to acceptance, we would only be able to see so much intelligence and good will as the horizon allow us. If the universe, specifically the earth, grew as a plant of some kind then it broadcasts imperfections due to all the evil and suffering that takes place throughout the entirety of the earth and its residents. The reconciliation of evil stands to be the largest opposition in the face of an Omni benevolent God. I believe that the criticisms of the teleological arguments are well stated since the thought of a universe having a purpose or order seems to be irrelevant in my own point of ... Nadine Gordimer s Country Lovers It has been known throughout the years the class conflicts between people around the world and how it affects many, but during today s times it is not as bad as the times when racial segregation took place between South Africa s white minority and non white majority. Nadine Gordimer, is a born and raised South African novelist whose writings focused on exile and alienation. She wrote many novels and short stories that related to South Africa s unjust political situation between the whites and non whites in the 1900 s. One of the short stories that she wrote is Country Lovers which portrays the life in South Africa during those times and how apartheid, a policy that controlled any type of relation between white and black South ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nadine conveys the way that the non whites were not able to, or were not given the opportunity to become someone in life. Instead, they stayed as the working class. Class seemed to have played a big part in the reading because it draws attention to the way that the whites, which were the higher class, were treated and how they had better chances of success in life than blacks, which were the lower or working class. Growing up the white children were sent off to the best schools setting them in the path of prosperity while the black children had little to no school and had not many opportunities. Although most of the black children get some schooling, they drop every years farther behind the grades passed by the white children... (p. 332) Black South Africans did not have the money to send their children to good schools which did not allow them to become educated like the children of the rich white families. They, unfortunately, had to grow up to be illiterate farm workers and servants just like their families; following their traditions and ways of living. Moreover, Paulus and Thebedi, the two main characters in the story, were not able to share or grow their love for each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Everything That Rises Must Converge Essay Living in a lie: Holding on to the past A new generation has taken place and some people make certain adjustments and can over all accept the change. Segregation was a serious issue for people, thoughts and emotions were the last to be considered. People that were sensitive to this particular generation just turned the other way and did not get involved. The men worked, women stayed home, no questions were asked and everyone lived happily. In the short story, Everything That Rises Must Converge by Flannery O Connor, is about change, acceptance and treating everyone as equal. Desegregation has taken over and Justin s mother has a hard time accepting this. Her generation was living a high style life, where she had slaves and whatever she wanted was provided. This new generation has taken a turn because she doesn t have that lifestyle anymore. She has become racial, stubborn and her son Julian thinks he can make her change, and see the reality they are living now. • 8. The Applicant Pool Increased At 57 % Of Business Schools... In 2015, the applicant pool increased at 57% of business schools worldwide (Gellman). Today, a Masters of Business Administration defines a businessperson and unlocks the doors to the financial world. Modern business hinges on education, but when formal schooling was not widely available, artists considered other factors integral to a flourishing businessman and financial success. Authors, playwrights, and filmmakers recognized the value of formal education, but imagined experience, social dexterity, and observation as the bedrock of economic prosperity. If You Know Not Me You Know Nobody, Roxana, and Working Girl depict a menagerie of educational backgrounds. Although she is literate and skilled in conversation, Roxana has received no formal education in business. In Post Renaissance England, Thomas Gresham would most likely have attended only grammar school and apprenticed with a businessman. By far, the characters in Working Girl are the most formally schooled. Tess graduated from business school with honors, and Jack Trainor received Ivy League degrees. Despite varying levels of knowledge and education, these characters are economically successful, suggesting that financial security comes from other dimensions of human knowledge. Through Thomas Gresham and Hobson, Thomas Heywood argues that fiscal education is based on observation, experience, and the ability to assimilate economic innovation with traditional power structures. • 9. The Watchers Research Paper Have you ever seen a picture with eyes that seem to follow you? Most people feel uneasy around them, but most people also learn to shrug the feeling off. It s true that a lot of paintings are just paintings, but some . . . are more. Those are The Watchers, and The Watchers are everywhere. The Watchers were the first to cross over from the north; they crossed so long ago that by the time Dragons came, The Watchers were a legend even to them. But the truth is this: they re out there and they ll never die out. The Watchers aren t the paintings. If that were the case, they would ve died out, vanished, or been forgotten long ago. The paintings aren t The Watchers, just like your shadow isn t yourself. But just like you re never far from your shadow, The Watchers are never far from their paintings. What is a creature that can sit in silence for eternity and do nothing but observe and collect information? Why do they collect information? Everything in this world has a purpose. What is the use of a creature that only watches? The truth is, no one knows. Some say that they report back to the Storytellers, who shape the history of mankind. • 10. The Effect Of Temperature On The Earth Surface Energy Budget 1. Introduction In 1762, Scottish chemist Joseph Black first introduced the term Latent Heat . He defined this term as the quantity of heat absorbed or released by a substance undergoing a change of state at a constant temperature and pressure [2]. Black, used the term latent heat in the context of calorimetry [3] when he observed a change in volume of a thermodynamic system whilst it was held at a constant temperature. Two more common forms of enthalpies are latent heat of fusion (solid to liquid) and latent of vaporization (liquid to vapour). Both of these changes are endothermic as they absorb energy whilst changing state, which is important in the science of Meteorology. Meteorology studies the processes of transpiration, evaporation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is because when heat is added to a system whilst changing state there is no change in temperature. Specific heat capacity is an important value for many reasons; substances with a small specific heat capacity are useful for tools used in cooking such as pans and kettles because their temperature needs to be raised quickly whereas substances that have a large specific heat are more suitable for insulation as an absorption of heat will cause a smaller change in temperature. 2. Theory 2.1 Latent Heat Latent heat derives from the amount of work required to overcome the forces that hold together the atoms or molecules in a substance. Attractive forces maintain the crystalline lattice of a solid and each atom oscillates to and from its average centre of mass position. As the temperature of this structure increases the oscillations become progressively more violent until the melting point is reached and the attractive forces holding the lattice together are no longer sufficient enough to maintain the crystalline structure s stability. Further heat (latent heat of fusion) must be added for the substance to complete a full change of state. Once enough heat is added to the system the substance will melt and become liquid which results in the atoms and molecules to no longer maintain a structured crystal lattice but instead are free to move. Forces of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. A Dolls House Essay It has been said that, some people think that it s holding on that makes one strong; sometimes it s letting go. In Henrik Ibsen s A Doll s House, Nora s departure becomes the controversial topic of debate for many readers; was Nora Helmer justified in leaving her husband and kids or not? It is argued that both parents are needed for a child to succeed in life and that separation is an act of cowardness. However, several readers also debate that Nora was justified in leaving Torvald and her kids. The mistreatment Nora constantly faced through offensive nicknames, her child like mentality that made her unfit to take care of her children and her identity as a doll demonstrate her need to leave the Helmer household. Nora s maltreatment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Additionally, this behaviour becomes evident when Nora offers to help Mrs. Linde and she responds, it is doubly kind in you, for you know so little of the burdens and troubles of life (1.359 60) proceeded by you are a child, Nora (1.363). Consequently, Nora responds in an immature manner by tossing her head and crossing the stage (1.702 03). Evidence of her childish behaviour and naïve mentality reveals the underlying need for her to grow and to do so she must find herself. In summary, the family nurse and Nora s immaturity and naivety justify her decision to leave Torvald and her kids to find herself to gain the independence needed to become the mother that her children needed. Nora was a doll trapped in a doll house and if she did not leave soon she would remain there forever. Nora has been a doll her whole life; Nora s father called [Nora] his doll child, and he played with [her] just as [she] used to play with [her] dolls (3.608 09). When Nora married, she was simply transferred from Papa s hands into [Torvald] s (3.612 613) like the toy she was. Furthermore, the transfer of her was also a transfer of control. If Nora differed from [her father], [she] concealed the fact, because he would not have liked it (3.606 07). • 13. Animal Farm Essay on Utopia THE UTOPIAN DREAM, WHILE NOBLE, IS SHORT SIGHTED BECAUSE IT FAILS TO ACCOUNT FOR THE FLAWS IN HUMAN NATURE. George Orwell s allegorical novel Animal Farm demonstrates the rapid shift from hopeful Utopian Dream, to reproachful dystopian nightmare as a result of fundamental flaws in human nature, such as avarice, selfishness and the thirst for power over others. In the novel, the animals are promised a better life if they revolt and institute the system of Animalism, then they are promised a better life if they build the windmill and, if all else fails, the raven promises a better afterlife on Sugarcandy Mountain . The resigned apathy and passivity of some of the animals allows for faster erosion of the dream of equality and allows for the pigs to maintain the power that wasn t rightfully theirs. Having knowledge of the pig s hypocrisy, Benjamin consciously decided against actions of rebellion against the pigs, instead resigning himself to the fact that he could not help the situation. After Boxer s death, Clover is so emotionally destroyed by his sudden disappearance that she ceases to do anything. In accepting his death as the pigs tell her, she is being passive and not searching for her own conclusions, even though she had doubts about it. It these, plus many more examples of passivity towards the pig s reign, that concludes in the animals having to forfeit any hope of the once so real, Utopian Dream. Shakespeare uses personification to drive home the fact that death and fire cannot destroy ones living memory (8) that resides in the lines of his sonnet: Nor Mars his sword nor war s quick fire shall burn/the living record of your memory (7 8). Shakespeare deviates from decay and destruction in the third quatrain to bring the theme of immortality back to the forefront. His tone begins to sound more uplifting when talking about going against death: Gainst death and all oblivious enmity/Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room (9 10). In saying this, Shakespeare wants the readers to know that death is not concerned with who is going against it, so if this sonnet marches forward though history the prince will always be praised. The passages tell us that when he knew the word knew in the tense lets me know that he found out fairly quickly and being as how he was an administrator he would have known almost instantly. But he didn t call his buddies to complain but he decided to go to God in prayer. • 38. Decision to Move into an International Market Terms and Definitions Upon a company making the decision to move into an international market there are many economic terms, definitions and laws that are to be researched and understood. While there are lots of terms and definitions, five of these terms include: multinational corporations, economies of scale, imports and exports as part of GDP, foreign exchange market and exchange rates and marginal rate of transformation. Each definition will be researched and defined below and their importance to a company going global will be discussed. Multinational Corporations A multinational corporation or a MNC can be defined as a company operating in at least one other country besides its home country. A MNC can be a closed system, in which it produces within said country and sells to that country only. Most MNC s, though, are open systems in which they produce in one country and sell to another. MNC s are driven by the law of supply and demand. Supply and demand affect open systems differently as labor is in one country and the selling of products in another and the cycle of products is on a much larger scale. A company looking to become international, if incorporated, will become a multinational corporation. II. Economies of Scale A. Factors that cause the cost of producing something to fall as the scale of its output increases are known as economies of scale. An example is it might cost $5000 to produce 200 copies of a book but only $6000 to produce ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Watership Down, a rabbit named Dandelion tells stories about El ahrairah and Hazel s rabbits are influenced by the stories to make plans that relate to El ahrairah s tricks. First of all, Hazel s rabbits are influenced by a disguise plan that E ahrairah uses to steal the lettuce from the king and the rabbits includes it into a plan that the rabbits make in the Efrafa warren. There are many resources throughout the University that make it possible for students that do not have a car, to get around. The highly organized and preferred transportation is the campus shuttles that go around to every dorm village and pick up students to bring them to the campus. On the FGCU website, there is a section called Transportation that shows all of the opportunities students get to utilize. If not the shuttles, there is carpooling, bicycle rentals, and car rentals that are offered to students 18 years and up. Campus shuttles are used by the majority of FGCU students that live on campus. These shuttles are made so that students can have transportation other than walking. Although campus shuttles can be beneficial in many ways, there are some people who do not take the shuttles for numerous reasons. Victoria Leeds, student at FGCU states that I ve taken the shuttle four times, but I rather walk to campus because that is the only exercise I get here. She resides in the North Lake village and that is the closest dormitory to the campus. It was also said that it takes her 8 10 minutes to walk to campus. • 41. Appropriation In Art History Appropriation in art and art history refers to the practice of artists using pre existing objects or images in their art with little transformation of the original (Tate, no date). Artists have been appropriating for many centuries and tend to use the most iconic of masterpieces from the past and make them more contemporary for today s style. The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the greatest examples of this act. It is one of the most famous and well known paintings ever created; however the piece has been manipulated by other artists, so much that the meaning behind the original is indefinite. If a piece of which is so recognisable in our society be stolen from other artists, this leaves us with the question Is art original? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But knowing makes me have a different opinion. This still puzzles my thoughts of originality in art and whether it matters in our society. This is a representation of the Marilyn Monroe Piece by Yu Youhan produced in the Chinese century of political pop. Youhan replicated the same method to Warhol s all time famous artwork but altered the subject of the design. Instead of Monroe he replaced the figure as the chairman Mao. He used Mao as part of a memorial as he played a big part in his political life. By doing this, it changes the meaning of the painting and Mao becomes the centre of attention and the main topic of the piece. I am now going to discuss Cindy Sherman and her film scenes. She was a big believer in Feminism and is well known for recreating film stills replacing the original actors with her. Although Sherman s work is entitled as one of those artists who appropriate, I would consider her work to be quite original. Yes, you could say that because she has copied film scenes that her work isn t original but personally I believe that her work is trying to make a change and represent ...
