Prejudgment Reflection
A prejudgment is a form how people interpreted information from other persons even though
sometimes they don t any evidence that can prove what they are saying about the other person, they
only have assumptions that are created in their mind. These people tend to criticisms people either
because of physical appearance or stereotype. It s obvious that sometimes these individuals used
prejudgment because they perceive something wrong with some persons that transmit uncomfortable
sensations, so in some cases the prejudgment it s useful to prevent or avoid some dangerous situations.
As, the author of the book The Messages the Communication Skill Book states, Since first impression
are so important, it s equally important to become aware of some of the most typical of prejudgment
(pg.192). Basically, the first impression it is important because that s how people perceive others
either by a good sense or bad senses. Then, perpetuating illusions is when individuals create imaging
in front others either because they are afraid because they don t want to be rejected it or even
sometimes they are looking for affection. Most of these people suffer low self esteem or they don t
accept themselves the way they are, so they need to use perpetuating illusions in their mind to feel
secure in front of others. These delusions that these person arrangements around them start creating
uncomfortable situations, instead of building a healthy relationship with others they ending losing

Ergonomics Awareness On The Construction Industry
Abstract Ergonomics is a significant factor in reducing discomfort/pain of worker and is one of the
procedures that eliminate the hazards and risk in construction industry. This study was conducted on
Bridge site, Godavari River at Nashik. The aim of this study is to assess and understand the level of
ergonomics awareness in the construction industry and to identify current applications about
ergonomics practices. The method used in collecting the data is by choosing different sites and
observing task of workers with the help of videos and Interviews. The task selected for the analysis
was lifting and handling the reinforcement. The majority of these injuries are due to overexertion in
lifting and carrying heavy reinforcement materials. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Double Jeopardy And The False Of The Fifth Amendment
The 1999 thriller Double Jeopardy tells the story of well off Libby, her husband Nick, and son Matty.
After awaking to an undeniably incriminating incident involving a missing Nick and Libby herself
covered in blood with a bloody knife, Libby finds herself falsely convicted of her husband s murder. A
plot twist reveals that Nick framed Libby and, with a new identity, stole away with their son to New
Orleans. In prison, Libby learns from another inmate that due to the
Fifth Amendment of the Constitution, if she could find Nick, she could actually murder him and get
away with it. This situation provides an entertaining and thought provoking story, however deeper

Libby was falsely accused and convicted of the crime, which is different than if she subsequently
followed through with committing the crime.
One cannot feel free to take advantage of a false conviction by later taking liberty to commit the crime
because of already standing trial for it. Imagine the potential legal hi jinks if bank robbers could rob a
bank, hire someone to prove they robbed the bank, hire someone else to prove they didn t, and then
rob the bank a second time with impunity. Of course each individual robbery would be a different
crime anyway because each incident took place at a different time and date,
Beverage 2 but the hyperbole serves the imagination. The possibilities are ridiculous, albeit amusing
and fun to come up with.
The layman s law resource NOLO answers the question of whether Libby s idea had basis by pointing
out that for the Double Jeopardy clause to have effect, there must be only a single crime in question.
Put more simply, the clause specifies that a defendant cannot be

The True Nature Of Cheerleading Essay
As human beings, it is natural to judge people who are different than ourselves. Most often these
judgements are based off of common beliefs, or stereotypes. Stereotypes apply to every group, from
the slow moving elderly to lively cheerleaders. Usually these beliefs do not describe every person in a
group, but they all receive the same labels. Cheerleaders make up one group that is commonly
stereotyped, but many people don t know the true nature of cheerleading.
Countless stereotypes that I have about cheerleaders have been ingrained into my mind by the media,
and from personal experience. From what I had observed in high school, cheerleaders are the popular
girls with plenty of friends. Not being associated with a cheerleader meant that you weren t on the
map. Promiscuity was also an extremely prominent stereotype in high school, which had always
shocked me since the cheerleaders seemed like a nasty group of girls. Cheerleaders also have a
reputation of being air headed or simply not intelligent. As an outsider, they did not give me the
impression of being book smart, especially at my high school. Another stereotype that I have is that
cheerleaders aren t entirely athletic. Yes, cheerleading is a sport. Yes, it can be dangerous and it does
take work. However, cheering doesn t look like it requires the same level of effort and intensity as
multiple other sports. These are all widespread beliefs about cheerleaders that I have come to expect
from them.

Electron Energy Levels
Atomic Emission Spectra and Electron Energy Levels The electromagnetic spectrum is the entirety of
the wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation, extending from high energy gamma rays to the low
energy radio waves, and in the middle lies visible light. Visible light of course being the light that the
human eye can see. When white light is run through a prism, it becomes broken up into different light
spectrums, but visible light can also be emitted from different elements such as when you burn them.
By applying heat, the electrons of an element become excited and they rise to a higher energy orbital
and when the electrons fall back into a ground state, electromagnetic radiation or light is emitted.
These frequencies of light that can be emitted by an atom is called the atomic emission spectra. Atoms
are the simplest whole unit of matter and consist of a positively charged nucleus that is surrounded by
negatively charged electrons. The electrons of an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Different wavelengths will be emitted as an electron returns to ground state based on its transition.
The higher energy the electron falls from the higher energy the wavelength will be. This as stated is
known as the atomic emission spectra, and each atomic emission spectra is unique to the specific
element and acts as a sort of fingerprint. A spectrum categorizes wavelengths based upon the
respective energy ;levels. The highest energy or shorter wavelengths are on the left while the right
holds the lowest energy or longest wavelengths. Based on this, the energy difference of an electrons
fall from excited to ground is what determines the wavelength of light. A fall from the outermost shell
to the innermost would result in an emission of high energy wavelength such as gamma or uv rays,
while a relatively low fall will result in low energy wavelengths such as radio waves. The emission
spectra helps identify

Essay on The Modern Relevance of Themes in James Joyce s...
James Joyce is widely considered to be one of the best authors of the 20th century. One of James
Joyce s most celebrated short stories is Eveline. This short story explores the theme of order and
hazard and takes a critical look at life in Dublin, Ireland in the early 20th century. Furthermore, the
themes that underlie Eveline were not only relevant for the time the story was wrote in, but are just as
relevant today. The major theme explored in Eveline is the idea of order and hazard. In society, the
idea of order has a lot more positive connotation than hazard. People often quote popular sayings such
as life is not always greener on the other side of the pastor to indicate this belief. Contrary, the idea of
taking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A second group of readers however see Joyce s reaction to Eveline as uncompassionate. These readers
do not blame Eveline for not choosing to take a chance, but rather see Eveline as a sympathetic
character. These people look at the decision that Eveline is faced with as very fortuitous, and therefore
hold the belief that Eveline cannot be blamed for her decision not to leave Dublin. Other critics of
Joyce have seen his fierce criticism of Eveline as chauvinistic. This argument is based on the idea that
Joyce, a male author, does not have the right to criticize a female character, in this case Eveline.
Furthermore, there is evidence outside of his criticism of Eveline that some would say furthers the
case of Joyce s chauvinism. For example Joyce was once quoted as saying, Men are governed by lines
of intellect women: by curves of emotion (Think Exist). Many quotes said by Joyce such as this one
could be viewed as chauvinistic. Whether or not Joyce s criticism of Eveline is chauvinistic is up for
debate, but one could definitely make the case that it is. Another major theme of Eveline is Joyce s
criticism of life in Dublin in the early 20th century. One criticism Joyce has of the people of Dublin
was covered above ,which, is he believed that they settled for routine over taking opportunities to
make a better life for themselves. Joyce is perhaps critical of this trend to not settle for the norm

Hong Kong Is An Economic Success
It is a beautiful country located on a small area of 1,063 square miles and population of about 7.4
million people as per census of 2016. In the year of 1960, Hong Kong had a population of 3.1 million.
In the period of 57 years population of Hong Kong grew almost 2.5 times, yet, this country has no
problem in keeping a pretty low unemployment rate. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for
January of 2017 was at 3.3 percent. It held the same level as in two previous months. At the same
time, the underemployment rate decreased from 1.4% to 1.3%. Hong Kong continues to be an

HK budget includes lower taxes for individuals and subsidiaries to tourism industry which suffered
the downturn in recent years. Also, pledges more support for country s exports and expects
improvements in that sector. In turn, HK expects its economy to grow by 2 to 3 percent. HK also
promises to look into generous tax deductions for innovation and technology which then, in turn, will
improve the cost of output. But HK does not forget about its social part of life and is expecting to see
a lot more money given back to the community in terms of elderly care and education. It also includes
promoting small and medium businesses, innovation, technology and intellectual property. For the c
fiscal year, it is estimated that HK s revenue will be HK$507.7 billion with overall expenditure to be
HK$491.4 billion, which will create a surplus of HK$16.3 for this fiscal year and add to over HK$908
billion which this country already has in its reserve.
Stable HK labor market, in an almost full employment, with steady household income growth
promises solid consumption expenditure for HK s current fiscal year. Investment expenditure is more
sensitive to external up and downs and changes of the business cycle. It is also expected that an

World With The Advanced Technology
In a world with the advanced technology, groundbreaking medical procedures, fine dining, and luxury
that this modern reality has to offer, it is often difficult to understand the extreme poverty and
suffering experienced by many people outside our borders. While it is widely agreed that something
should be done to help impoverished countries, how to go about that task is not entirely clear. The
consensus of the self described development community (Easterly, 2013) in modern economic
development advocates large scale central planning by experts for development to be applied to a
location. This approach often supports the leadership of benevolent autocrats to put these plans into
action. William Easterly, on the other hand, uses The Tyranny of Experts to present an alternative view
based on four main arguments: (1) the Blank Slate versus learning from history, (2) nations versus
individuals, (3) conscious direction versus spontaneous solutions, and, above all, (4) authoritarian
versus free development (Bradley, 2016). This alternate plan of development from the ground up is a
more effective and natural way of helping raise underdeveloped countries to the standards of richer
nations.
Part three of Easterly s book is dedicated to the idea of learning from history. Many development
experts feel that the best way to plan the future of a nation is to assess its current situation of
production, consumption, available resources, etc. and then plan from there. This may

Backlash By Sarah Darer Littman Analysis
Trust in a friendship or relationship can be easily damaged. Trust can be defined as having the firm
belief or confidence in the reliability, truth, and strength in someone or something. It can be broken
with the push of a button on social media or even by words spoken in person. In the book Backlash,
author Sarah Darer Littman conveys a message about having trust in a close loved one and how social
media can play a major role in people s everyday life. Lara, the main character, plans on taking her
own life because of harsh things someone has said over Facebook about her. Sometimes placing a
great amount of trust in someone can be hurtful in the end. Having trust in someone can have a

Tata Nano in India
Positioning the Tata Nano (A) and (B) This case deals with the positioning of the Tata Nano for its
launch and after its launch , a new version of ultra low cost cars produced by Tata Motors Ltd. for the
India s market. The Tata Nano aimed to revolutionize the India s market. First, the goal of the Tata
Nano was to be the smallest in order to be maneuverable, as the streets in India were extremely small
and unsafe. At the same time, the Tata Nano had to be the most affordable car in India, at a price of
Rs. 1 lakh, in order to allow everyone to afford this car and more particularly those who could not

To finish, we can see that the two wheelers (motorbikes, etc.) are clearly dominating the vehicles sales
market in India (representing 76% of the total vehicle sales whereas passenger vehicles represent 16%
of the total vehicles sales in India) and could be in fact the main competitors of the Tata Nano. Indeed,
they are well adapted to the small streets and their maneuverability is well known in the mind of
customers, and more particularly college students. Besides, these two wheelers have a very
competitive price (Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 75,000) and are less expensive to operate and for the maintenance
than the Tata Nano. As a result, the two wheelers are probably the main competitors as they answer the
same needs than the Tata Nano. Concerning the suppliers, we can see that they can have a huge impact
on the automobile industry, as rising raw material costs can quickly increase the price of the cars,
which was finally the case for the Tata Nano after its launch. To finish with the consumers, the case
indicates that they are looking for low prices but their aspirations are rising. We are now going to look
at the context of the automobile industry. The government s liberalization of regulations on foreign
trade and restrictions on private companies in 1991 helped the car s industry to flourish, with an
annual growth of 17%. However, per capita ownership is low in India, only 12 car owners per 1,000
people. Indeed, consumers are privileging the two wheelers, as explained

The Consumer Right Act ( Cra )
Introduction
In 2015, the Consumer Right Act (CRA) has been passed by the Parliament to provide further
protection and guidelines for consumers. One of the aims of the Act is to provide remedies for
consumers when they receive faulty goods or the goods that no longer meet their needs. Under section
20(4), it entitles the consumer to reject the goods and treat the contract as at and end. Also, under
section 20(7) (a), it entitles the consumers to exercise the short term rights to reject the goods while
section 22(3) outlines the standard period for exercising the rights is 30 days as suggested by the Law
Commission. However, there is criticism that standard period of 30 days is inflexible. Therefore, the
following paragraphs will analyse whether the 30 days is a suitable time limit for the rejection and
whether the standard period that set by the law is flexible or not.
30 Days An Acceptable Standard or Not
As mentioned above, the standard period of 30 days was adopted by the suggestion of the Law
Commission in the report.
Under the current law, there are difficulties for both retailers and consumers to interpret for reasonable
time to reject the goods as there is no clarification or explanation on the relevant factors of reasonable
time . Accordingly, the Law Commission stated that the standard period of 30 days would be simpler
than the current law. The Confederation of British Industry which agreed that by stating,

Humans are animals. Animals have basic instinct and primal urges. Through our abilities to reason and
show emotion, we have created a construct that conceals many of these urges. But like graffiti that has

In his book In Sheep s Clothing, psychology author George K. Simon outlines three factors in
successful psychological manipulation. The first is the concealing of aggressive intentions and
behaviours. Edmund uses manipulation of others actions to disguise his intention to gain power of

Alexis De Tocqueville s Political Writings
In 1776, the United States Declaration of Independence swore to life, liberty, and the pursuit of
happiness for all those that live in America. In 1787, the Constitution of the United States granted the
security of the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity . It s blatantly obvious that the
history of America, up until Alexis de Tocqueville wrote Democracy in America, had any of those
attributes been granted wholly. Liberty is relatable to the State of Nature, John Locke describes in his
Political Writings. Liberty is a state of entire freedom in thought, practice, mores, etc. Tocqueville
argues that Liberty is a boundary, an imaginative idea, and almost an unreachable goal in the
Democratic state of America. Tocqueville ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The majority is relatable to the power of estates in the part aristocratic democratic France following
the French Revolution. Whereas, people are unified with their class and power is held within those

type living with a makeup of different ideologies. He states, by coming closer together, they seem to
have found new reasons to hate each other (Tocqueville, 22) America thus forms a majority to
terminate the inconstancies among the state of equality and to faction the population. Tocqueville first
argues the challenge of the majority, freedom of association has become a necessary guarantee against
the tyranny of the majority...the minority must resist the material power that oppresses it...one danger
is set against another more to be feared (Tocqueville, 307). Therefore, there are limitations to the
majority but, it is hard to overcome them as the majority is most powerful. He then describes the
omnipotence of the majority and their power within the law. Ultimately, the majority has the power to
decide what is just and therefore, limit the rights of others (Tocqueville, 410). He states, to preserve

Racism Is A System Of Power And Privilege
Racism is a system of power and privilege; it can be manifested in people s attitudes but is rooted in
society s structure (Collins, 2016). In the history of America, racism has been an on going issue. Many
people would argue that Americans have come a long way from where America used to be, and while
that is true, why should the American people be satisfied with just that? Why not fight for complete
transformation? Today the United States is more diverse than ever; however, diversity doesn t
automatically mean tolerance. Unfortunately, racism and white privilege still exist and impact
American s everyday lives.

Slaves were not allowed to learn how to read and write, the women were often raped by their masters,
and slaves were brutally beaten for misbehaving. They were not considered people. Later, Abraham
Lincoln became President, and in 1863 the Emancipation Proclamation was written and claimed all
slaves forever free ( Slavery in America, 2017).
Don t think it stops there, fast forward about 100 years later to the Civil Rights Movement. Southern
states created the Jim Crow laws prohibiting blacks from using the same bathrooms, schools, busses
and even theatres as white people. They were by no means equal. This led to many protests, such as
the march on Washington on August 28th 1963, where Martin Luther King Jr. made his famous I Have
a Dream speech. Soon after, President John F. Kennedy passed The Civil Rights Act of 1964, banning
segregation and racial discrimination in the work place and in education. Following this, came the
Voting Rights Act of 1965, allowing black men and women the right to vote. Clearly, throughout
history, Americans have struggled with racism, and it s not over ( Civil Rights Movement, 2017).
In addition, white privilege dominated the United States since the beginning of the new world. White
privilege from the past is hard to define, as it really was a belief, not a concrete concept. Simply put, it
was the belief that everything in this world, economic, social, academic, and historical, belonged to

Truths In The Canterbury Tales
The author of the Canterbury Tales, Geoffrey Chaucer, does try to show a world where everything is
how it truly is and not as something that is fake. Throughout the story of The Wife of Bath he shows
that knights should have a chivalry to uphold and should work hard to keep it. He also shows that
everyday things that can be horrible end up happening in real life. Many times he also mentions
religion and how it affects how some people are in the work of religion. Chivalry to uphold is a main
part of the reason many knights had their place in society. They have a code of conduct in which they
live by and they swear an oath to it. Many knights would swear to the oath but will break it if their
loyalty wasn t in the right place. When getting this oath taken, the main thing knights will swear on is
to lay their life on the line for the royal family and their home land. Chaucer shows in The Wife of
Bath where a knight does go back on his word but does end up following King Arthur s word when his
wife gives the knight a punishment. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Suicidal Murderer
What Has to Happen Internally to Become a Killer?
Children crying, people dying, why would someone cause that kind of terror upon another human
being? There are many theories spoken of by many scientists of the world on this very issue. There are
many cases, infinite backgrounds, and too many sad stories of those related to the victims or the
killers. If only there were a solution to identify the steps to murder, so people could stop and treat
those who need psychiatric assistance before it is too late. The fact of the matter is, there is no single
solution that can stop the vicious cycle of pain and suffering inflicted upon others, but we can identify
traits that can lead a person from humanity to insanity. The one thing that must ... Show more content

3 years after Columbine, the Secret Service found that 78% of killers have a history of attempted
suicide or suicidal thoughts (Cullen). An example of a suicidal murderer is Eric Harris, co conspirator
and executor of the mass shooting at Columbine. He was suicidal, and wrote journal entries like this
one: Such a sad, desolate, lonely unsalvageable I feel I am. Not fair, NOT FAIR!!! I wanted
happiness!! I never got it!!! Let s sum up my life, the most miserable existence in the history of time
(Cullen). Most depressed people start by blaming themselves, but then the blame shifts outward. They
typically blame their ex girlfriend, boss, or classmates, but mass murderers blame society, and they
become willing to show a devastating example, make them pay, and die in the process. In the killer s
mind, it is a win win (Cullen). Harris thoughts began to shift, and when he was about to devastate
Columbine, he had this to say: In 26.5 hours I ll be dead, and in happiness. The little zombie human
fags will know their errors and be forever suffering and mournful. HAHAHA (Cullen). The next day
he and Klebold did the damage they set out to do, and Eric Harris life ended soon after. The suicidally
depressed killers have the notorious phrase If I go down, you re going with me imprinted in their head,
and they have proved that they can use that phrase in real life, to the horror of everyone

The Koala Essay
The Koala
Inroduction
The koala is the Australian jewel. It has very furry, ash colored hair, a rubbery black nose, sharp claws,
fuzzy ears, and a grizzly personality, or should I say, koalality. If you kill a koala, you ll make a
million off their fur! They would sell the fur to coat companies and make coats out of koala fur.
Well, sadly enough, too many people are making millions on koalas. That s why they re endangered
species.
Habitat
The koala is distributed along the eastern coastal semi tropical forests of Australia, ranging from north
Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and a small area in the south of Australia.
Breeding

It has slowed down a lot since it was first introduced to the koala population, but the virus is still
going around (chylamydia psittaci is an endangered virus.) The koala population is also still falling
due to destroyed habitats. The developers are coming into koala habitat and cutting down eucalyptus,
selling it and building homes. By the 2030 s, the koalas will have no place to live. Now, sadly, in
Sydney, koalas must cross the street to get to another eucalyptus tree. They have to go to another
eucalyptus tree every once and a while because that tree is the same tree from the same forest.
A lot of koalas are now becoming roadkill.
General Information
The koala is a one of a kind animal. It is the only one of its kind.
There are two sub species of koala though, in which there is the tiniest difference. The southern one
has a darker colored fur than the northern because it is colder in the south. The koala has only one
relative, the wombat. Koalas and wombats share a common ancestor from some 25 million years ago
on the landmass Lauasia (an ancient landmass that separated to make South America,
Africa, and Australia.) Most people think that the koala is related to bears, that is not true, the koala is
an aboreal (tree dwelling) bear. Most people also think that the koala is not harmful, that s wrong. The
koala is more like a grizzly bear than a teddy bear. The koala is dangerous

Lucretius Banquet Argument
People have many different perspectives on death, however, the majority of people fear death as a
result of not knowing what s to come after or the notion that death is evil. Lucretius argues against this
belief with compelling and reasonable points. He states that one should not be afraid or sad that they
are going to die, but rather not think about it at all. In his banquet argument, he states that one should
not spend his life thinking about death in sorrow, but rather not think about it at all and live in the
moment. By doing this, you will erase all the negative thoughts and allow yourself to enjoy what life
has to offer; Now put aside all thoughts that are unseemingly for your grey head.....leave with your
heart light. (M TS,101). Lucretius also talks about being grateful that you get to experience the joy of
life. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If life has been good, then why should you beg it to go on like a greedy and ungrateful guest. He
states, Come along, make room for others... (M TS,101), in other words, the old must make room for
the young, and so on. Lucretius conclusion is that fearing death is irrational. Why should we fear
death when we will become no more. We will no longer be affected by anything or anyone, and we
will no longer be concerned about what occurs in the future. In simpler terms, in order for something
to hurt you, you must exist at the same time as the thing. When you are dead, you don t exist anymore.
Thus, death can t hurt you. Furthermore, death is inevitable. It s just another part of life that should not
be feared but

Curling Vs. Chess
Most people don t think about the games curling or chess much. Of those that do, most would consider
these two activities to have few to no similarities, except that neither of their championships are going
to be shown on ESPN. Curling is a game played on ice that consists of multiple rounds, called ends, of
each team taking turns sliding stones to have the most closest to the center of a target, known as the
house. Chess is a board game played by two players taking turns moving their playing pieces, each
with different abilities, across a board with the goal of capturing the opponent s king. Though these
may seem like two mutually exclusive activities, they do share one important element: they both rely
heavily on strategy. The games curling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In curling, the act of using a shot for the purpose of removing an opponent s stone from play is known
as a takeout shot. One primarily uses takeouts for the purpose of removing an opponent s stone in
scoring position from play. This can prevent the opponent from scoring during that end. Chess also has
an emphasis on removing opponents important pieces from play. Players often take any opportunity to
remove an opponent s queen or rook from play, even if removing it results in the player losing one of
their pieces. This happens because when one removes these pieces, it makes it more difficult for the
opponent to reach their final goal of capturing their king. However, in each of these games, one may
also remove an opponent s pieces used for guarding others. In curling, one may take out the opponent
s guards to make it easier for them to place their own stones in a scoring position. In chess, a player
may remove the opponent s pawns for the for the purpose of making it easier to place the opponent s
king in checkmate. In both these games taking out the opponent s pieces clearly have important
strategic benefits that help oneself as well as making it more difficult for their opponent. Taking out an
opponent s pieces shows another tool used in each of these strategies, but these tools are only useful

Jainism Is The Last Of The Great Teachers
Jainism is an India religion with most of it s more than four million followers residing there. It was
founded by Mahavira, who lived from 599 to 527 BCE. Mahavira was born into the kshatriya class of
rulers and warriors. At the age of thirty he renounced the privileges this class afforded him to live an
ascetic life. Reaching enlightenment only fourteen years later, Mahavira became a Vardhamana
gaining followers until thirty years later when he starved himself to death. Mahavira is called the last
of the great teachers. Jainism arose during the 6th century BCE. There were twenty four great
religious leaders called Tirthankaras including Mahavira (the 24th). Tirthankaras were all enlightened
humans whose teachings and stories point the way for others. Like Hinduism and Buddhism Jainism is
focused on separating from a physical form and escaping from reincarnation (The unhappy passage of
the soul from one body to another). They believe they can do this through physical denial and mental
self discipline, when they reach enlightenment through these means they are liberated. However
Jainism did oppose Hindu priestly groups who emphasized salvation by sacrifices they controlled.
Another difference between Jainism, Hinduism and Buddhism is, even though they use a lot of the
same words and imagery, the Jains have put many of them into a different context. Some of the main
symbols and meanings of those symbols for Jainism include the shape of human torso which

KNOW WHAT WE LOVE
First of all, you have to know what you like as perfumes, because there are seven great olfactory
families: floral, citrus, woody, fern, chypre, amber or oriental and leather. Florals represent 80% of the
market, so we will very often move towards the floral, says Clarisse Monereau, expert in perfumes,
which quotes as an example Chanel N o 5 or L air du temps by Nina Ricci. The floral scent is not too
invasive, it will not interfere with colleagues and, above all, it is an excellent choice timeless.
After the flowers, it is the hesperidia that are the most popular ( CK One Calvin Klein). These are

Are women in Quebec faithful to their perfume? Historically, there is no perfumer here, so there is no
attachment or identification to a house. Women love novelty, and with the changes of the season, we

Relationship Between Parents And Children
When a person finds out it is their turn to be a parent, the first thing that comes to mind is not going to
be, what style of parent should be utilized in this situation? They are more worried about the child
being healthy, which parent it will look like, and what will they name it? So many things cross a
parents mind before they think of what kind of parent they will be. Will they be strict, will they be
relaxed, or will they find a happy medium? So many questions to be answered that come in time, but
come somewhat naturally. Many people do not realize there are different styles or approaches to how
others raise their children, but there are others that have very precise views on how they will go about
day to day life with how their children are raised. This is the case from Amy Chua. She is a Chinese
mother married to a Western father with very opposite views of parenting. Amy is strict, meticulous,
and a disciplinarian. The way she handles herself with her family and in the way she raises her
children have many effects on their lives. These effects do not only effect the immediate family, but
their extended family as well. Those most effected are her husband Jed and her daughters Sophia and
Lulu. Amy handles herself in a very specific manner and has no tolerance for anything less than her
expectations. These expectations have effects on her family and the relationships around her. Having
high expectations as these make relationships hard to maintain, and cause

During childhood the main occupational role is play. As children are assigned chores and other
obligations, at home or at school, some of their time is devoted to activities classified as work.
Therefore, as children begin to explore and play they re beginning to recognize their environment,

Adolescence most important task is to develop an identity separate from one s parents, a social and

The Twilight Zone By Rod Serling
Imagine a clear summer night, gazing up at the stars when all of a sudden something goes zooming
across the sky. A shooting star perhaps or could it be something more. This is how Monsters are Due
on Maple Street begins and ends, with the unknown. Now, there is no evidence to prove or disprove
the existence of alien life forms, but one young boy puts doubt into the minds of everyone on Maple
Street. The fear, paranoia, and suspicion the characters experience is directly related to real life events
that took place in the nineteen fifties. To understand The Twilight Zone, it is important to look at the
writer and producer, Rod Serling, to gaze into his past and receive answers. Rod Serling was born
December 25, 1924 in Syracuse, New York. After graduating from high school in 1942, Serling joined
the United States Army. Experiencing the horrible acts of World War II made Serling concerned for a
moral society. Upon returning from war, Rod Serling attended Antioch College. His senior year he
began writing for CBS where he developed his unique style of writing. By the beginning of the
nineteen fifties Serling made a full time career out of his writings. He then went on to write for NBC.
This was his break out stage, when he wrote the hit television series, Patterns. Throughout the fifties
Serling wrote about serious issues in society. Tired of this type of writing, Serling began writing
science fiction and fantasy. According to PBS, Science Fiction allowed Rod

Essay On Analysis Penetration
In life, I have stated that I am willing to try almost anything. This is generally true, moreover, I love
new experiences and the insights that they give me, but there were a few activities that I was still
unwilling to try for a variety of reasons. I have always been curious about anal penetration. It was
always something that I said I would NEVER do, but there was still something that intrigued me about
it. Over the course of the last few years, I have slowly started to become more open to trying it. I
thought through my hesitations about it and realized that I felt as though it was predominantly societal
pressure not to do it, which was ultimately stopping me. Furthermore, I am a firm believer in not

would never get frustrated with me about something going wrong sexually, but I feel like it has been
ingrained in me to believe that they would. With the new found confidence that my partner and I
instilled in myself, we were able to end up trying anal penetration with a finger about three weeks
later. This was a wonderful experience. My partner gave me full control of what was happening. It was
an amazing way to try it for the first time. It is always important to trust the person you are with and
this experience reaffirmed my confidence in them. I haven t been that sexually comfortable with

we each hold our own opinions. I do believe that when it comes to matters of the bedroom that it is
important to realize certain undertakings are absolutely none of our business as a society. There seems
to be this common misconception out there, perpetuated by a phrase, that puts pressure on people to

Rosenhan s Experiments
The work of David Rosenhan has inspired many people after him to look into how psychological
clinics and hospitals work in admitting and their behavior towards those who seek their assistance,
whether they be sane or insane. Two of such people are Lauren Slater and Mike Smith. To start,
Lauren Slater presents her findings in researching Rosenhan s experiments and conducting one of her
own that was very similar to Rosenhans. One of the first things Slater points out is that Rosenhans
experiments are flawed (137). Unfortunately, she doesn t go into extreme detail about what she
believes to be those flaws. I personally think that one of the biggest flaws in Rosenhan s experiments
is that all of his subjects claimed the same issues. I think that to have done a full experiment,
Rosenhan and his confederates should have tried different symptoms. For example, after being let out
of whatever facility they were in, they should switch ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

big improvement. If those who were supposed to be taking care of the ill could not act professionally,
they should not be in charge of taking care of those who might not even be able to take care of
themselves. A big point of Slater s and Rosenhan s results involve how well those who work in mental
facilities are able to sense the sanity of the patient. However, neither Rosenhan nor Slater give a way
of how to detect sanity or even what is the definition of sanity is. Mike Smith covers what he believes
the answer is to that question. He believes that the absence of madness is the definition of sanity (39).
Unfortunatly, this is an obvious answer in which Smith gives another way to say sanity. The question
to ask him would be, what is the definition of

Questions On Non Financial Firms
1. Introduction
The 2007 2008 crisis started off in August 2007 as a subprime mortgage crisis primarily concentrated
in the United States but quickly metamorphosized into a global financial crisis where financial
institutions teeter on the edge of bankruptcy in many countries in addition to the United States. A
global economic crisis ensues in which nonfinancial firms around the world appear to spiral
downward as well. A key potential contributor to the plight of the non financial firms is the financial
crisis itself, in the form of a negative shock to the supply of external finance needed by non financial
firms. However, as the two quotes by some leading policymakers and scholars at the beginning of the
paper indicate, the idea that non financial firms suffer from a strongly negative supply of finance
shock is not universally shared. In addition, if non financial firms do not do well, there can certainly
be other causes, such as a contraction of demand for their products.
This paper has three objectives. First, it aims to develop a simple framework that can capture and
quantify the relative importance of the finance shock to the economic health of non financial firms.
Second, in a cross country context, it aims to investigate whether the responsiveness of the real
economy to a given finance shock varies by country features that the literature suggests that could
matter, such as the type of a financial system, the nature of a monetary and exchange rate regime, or
the extent

  • 2. Prejudgment Reflection A prejudgment is a form how people interpreted information from other persons even though sometimes they don t any evidence that can prove what they are saying about the other person, they only have assumptions that are created in their mind. These people tend to criticisms people either because of physical appearance or stereotype. It s obvious that sometimes these individuals used prejudgment because they perceive something wrong with some persons that transmit uncomfortable sensations, so in some cases the prejudgment it s useful to prevent or avoid some dangerous situations. As, the author of the book The Messages the Communication Skill Book states, Since first impression are so important, it s equally important to become aware of some of the most typical of prejudgment (pg.192). Basically, the first impression it is important because that s how people perceive others either by a good sense or bad senses. Then, perpetuating illusions is when individuals create imaging in front others either because they are afraid because they don t want to be rejected it or even sometimes they are looking for affection. Most of these people suffer low self esteem or they don t accept themselves the way they are, so they need to use perpetuating illusions in their mind to feel secure in front of others. These delusions that these person arrangements around them start creating uncomfortable situations, instead of building a healthy relationship with others they ending losing ... • 4. Double Jeopardy And The False Of The Fifth Amendment The 1999 thriller Double Jeopardy tells the story of well off Libby, her husband Nick, and son Matty. After awaking to an undeniably incriminating incident involving a missing Nick and Libby herself covered in blood with a bloody knife, Libby finds herself falsely convicted of her husband s murder. A plot twist reveals that Nick framed Libby and, with a new identity, stole away with their son to New Orleans. In prison, Libby learns from another inmate that due to the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution, if she could find Nick, she could actually murder him and get away with it. This situation provides an entertaining and thought provoking story, however deeper examination of the semantics in the Double Jeopardy clause of the Fifth Amendment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Libby was falsely accused and convicted of the crime, which is different than if she subsequently followed through with committing the crime. One cannot feel free to take advantage of a false conviction by later taking liberty to commit the crime because of already standing trial for it. Imagine the potential legal hi jinks if bank robbers could rob a bank, hire someone to prove they robbed the bank, hire someone else to prove they didn t, and then rob the bank a second time with impunity. Of course each individual robbery would be a different crime anyway because each incident took place at a different time and date, Beverage 2 but the hyperbole serves the imagination. The possibilities are ridiculous, albeit amusing and fun to come up with. The layman s law resource NOLO answers the question of whether Libby s idea had basis by pointing out that for the Double Jeopardy clause to have effect, there must be only a single crime in question. • 5. The True Nature Of Cheerleading Essay As human beings, it is natural to judge people who are different than ourselves. Most often these judgements are based off of common beliefs, or stereotypes. Stereotypes apply to every group, from the slow moving elderly to lively cheerleaders. Usually these beliefs do not describe every person in a group, but they all receive the same labels. Cheerleaders make up one group that is commonly stereotyped, but many people don t know the true nature of cheerleading. Countless stereotypes that I have about cheerleaders have been ingrained into my mind by the media, and from personal experience. From what I had observed in high school, cheerleaders are the popular girls with plenty of friends. Not being associated with a cheerleader meant that you weren t on the map. Promiscuity was also an extremely prominent stereotype in high school, which had always shocked me since the cheerleaders seemed like a nasty group of girls. Cheerleaders also have a reputation of being air headed or simply not intelligent. As an outsider, they did not give me the impression of being book smart, especially at my high school. Another stereotype that I have is that cheerleaders aren t entirely athletic. Yes, cheerleading is a sport. Yes, it can be dangerous and it does take work. However, cheering doesn t look like it requires the same level of effort and intensity as multiple other sports. These are all widespread beliefs about cheerleaders that I have come to expect from them. Along with some of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Electron Energy Levels Atomic Emission Spectra and Electron Energy Levels The electromagnetic spectrum is the entirety of the wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation, extending from high energy gamma rays to the low energy radio waves, and in the middle lies visible light. Visible light of course being the light that the human eye can see. When white light is run through a prism, it becomes broken up into different light spectrums, but visible light can also be emitted from different elements such as when you burn them. By applying heat, the electrons of an element become excited and they rise to a higher energy orbital and when the electrons fall back into a ground state, electromagnetic radiation or light is emitted. These frequencies of light that can be emitted by an atom is called the atomic emission spectra. Atoms are the simplest whole unit of matter and consist of a positively charged nucleus that is surrounded by negatively charged electrons. The electrons of an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Different wavelengths will be emitted as an electron returns to ground state based on its transition. The higher energy the electron falls from the higher energy the wavelength will be. This as stated is known as the atomic emission spectra, and each atomic emission spectra is unique to the specific element and acts as a sort of fingerprint. A spectrum categorizes wavelengths based upon the respective energy ;levels. The highest energy or shorter wavelengths are on the left while the right holds the lowest energy or longest wavelengths. Based on this, the energy difference of an electrons fall from excited to ground is what determines the wavelength of light. A fall from the outermost shell to the innermost would result in an emission of high energy wavelength such as gamma or uv rays, while a relatively low fall will result in low energy wavelengths such as radio waves. • 7. Essay on The Modern Relevance of Themes in James Joyce s... James Joyce is widely considered to be one of the best authors of the 20th century. One of James Joyce s most celebrated short stories is Eveline. This short story explores the theme of order and hazard and takes a critical look at life in Dublin, Ireland in the early 20th century. Furthermore, the themes that underlie Eveline were not only relevant for the time the story was wrote in, but are just as relevant today. The major theme explored in Eveline is the idea of order and hazard. In society, the idea of order has a lot more positive connotation than hazard. People often quote popular sayings such as life is not always greener on the other side of the pastor to indicate this belief. Contrary, the idea of taking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A second group of readers however see Joyce s reaction to Eveline as uncompassionate. These readers do not blame Eveline for not choosing to take a chance, but rather see Eveline as a sympathetic character. These people look at the decision that Eveline is faced with as very fortuitous, and therefore hold the belief that Eveline cannot be blamed for her decision not to leave Dublin. Other critics of Joyce have seen his fierce criticism of Eveline as chauvinistic. This argument is based on the idea that Joyce, a male author, does not have the right to criticize a female character, in this case Eveline. Furthermore, there is evidence outside of his criticism of Eveline that some would say furthers the case of Joyce s chauvinism. For example Joyce was once quoted as saying, Men are governed by lines of intellect women: by curves of emotion (Think Exist). Many quotes said by Joyce such as this one could be viewed as chauvinistic. Whether or not Joyce s criticism of Eveline is chauvinistic is up for debate, but one could definitely make the case that it is. Another major theme of Eveline is Joyce s criticism of life in Dublin in the early 20th century. One criticism Joyce has of the people of Dublin was covered above ,which, is he believed that they settled for routine over taking opportunities to make a better life for themselves. Joyce is perhaps critical of this trend to not settle for the norm ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. World With The Advanced Technology In a world with the advanced technology, groundbreaking medical procedures, fine dining, and luxury that this modern reality has to offer, it is often difficult to understand the extreme poverty and suffering experienced by many people outside our borders. While it is widely agreed that something should be done to help impoverished countries, how to go about that task is not entirely clear. The consensus of the self described development community (Easterly, 2013) in modern economic development advocates large scale central planning by experts for development to be applied to a location. This approach often supports the leadership of benevolent autocrats to put these plans into action. William Easterly, on the other hand, uses The Tyranny of Experts to present an alternative view based on four main arguments: (1) the Blank Slate versus learning from history, (2) nations versus individuals, (3) conscious direction versus spontaneous solutions, and, above all, (4) authoritarian versus free development (Bradley, 2016). This alternate plan of development from the ground up is a more effective and natural way of helping raise underdeveloped countries to the standards of richer nations. Part three of Easterly s book is dedicated to the idea of learning from history. Many development experts feel that the best way to plan the future of a nation is to assess its current situation of production, consumption, available resources, etc. and then plan from there. Trust can be defined as having the firm belief or confidence in the reliability, truth, and strength in someone or something. It can be broken with the push of a button on social media or even by words spoken in person. In the book Backlash, author Sarah Darer Littman conveys a message about having trust in a close loved one and how social media can play a major role in people s everyday life. Lara, the main character, plans on taking her own life because of harsh things someone has said over Facebook about her. • 11. Tata Nano in India Positioning the Tata Nano (A) and (B) This case deals with the positioning of the Tata Nano for its launch and after its launch , a new version of ultra low cost cars produced by Tata Motors Ltd. for the India s market. The Tata Nano aimed to revolutionize the India s market. First, the goal of the Tata Nano was to be the smallest in order to be maneuverable, as the streets in India were extremely small and unsafe. At the same time, the Tata Nano had to be the most affordable car in India, at a price of Rs. 1 lakh, in order to allow everyone to afford this car and more particularly those who could not afford a car before. To finish, we can see that the two wheelers (motorbikes, etc.) are clearly dominating the vehicles sales market in India (representing 76% of the total vehicle sales whereas passenger vehicles represent 16% of the total vehicles sales in India) and could be in fact the main competitors of the Tata Nano. Indeed, they are well adapted to the small streets and their maneuverability is well known in the mind of customers, and more particularly college students. Besides, these two wheelers have a very competitive price (Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 75,000) and are less expensive to operate and for the maintenance than the Tata Nano. As a result, the two wheelers are probably the main competitors as they answer the same needs than the Tata Nano. Concerning the suppliers, we can see that they can have a huge impact on the automobile industry, as rising raw material costs can quickly increase the price of the cars, which was finally the case for the Tata Nano after its launch. To finish with the consumers, the case indicates that they are looking for low prices but their aspirations are rising. We are now going to look at the context of the automobile industry. The government s liberalization of regulations on foreign trade and restrictions on private companies in 1991 helped the car s industry to flourish, with an annual growth of 17%. However, per capita ownership is low in India, only 12 car owners per 1,000 people. Indeed, consumers are privileging the two wheelers, as explained ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. The Consumer Right Act ( Cra ) Introduction In 2015, the Consumer Right Act (CRA) has been passed by the Parliament to provide further protection and guidelines for consumers. One of the aims of the Act is to provide remedies for consumers when they receive faulty goods or the goods that no longer meet their needs. Under section 20(4), it entitles the consumer to reject the goods and treat the contract as at and end. Also, under section 20(7) (a), it entitles the consumers to exercise the short term rights to reject the goods while section 22(3) outlines the standard period for exercising the rights is 30 days as suggested by the Law Commission. However, there is criticism that standard period of 30 days is inflexible. Therefore, the following paragraphs will analyse whether the 30 days is a suitable time limit for the rejection and whether the standard period that set by the law is flexible or not. 30 Days An Acceptable Standard or Not As mentioned above, the standard period of 30 days was adopted by the suggestion of the Law Commission in the report. Under the current law, there are difficulties for both retailers and consumers to interpret for reasonable time to reject the goods as there is no clarification or explanation on the relevant factors of reasonable time . Accordingly, the Law Commission stated that the standard period of 30 days would be simpler than the current law. Through our abilities to reason and show emotion, we have created a construct that conceals many of these urges. But like graffiti that has been painted over, it s just covering up something that never leaves. We can for the most part agree that Edgar is an evil character, and most of us will not go to the extent of doing what he has done in the play, but we can understand why he does what he does. We are not meant to sympathize with Edmund, but we are meant to connect with him on a primal level. Simon outlines three factors in successful psychological manipulation. The first is the concealing of aggressive intentions and behaviours. Edmund uses manipulation of others actions to disguise his intention to gain power of Britain. The second is knowing the psychological vulnerabilities of the victim and using them to one s advantage. Edmund uses the superstitious views held by Gloucester and many others to excuse his own misdeeds and rude behaviour, despite his belief that it is entirely irrelevant, An admirable evasion of whoremaster man, to lay his goatish disposition to the charge of a star! • 14. Alexis De Tocqueville s Political Writings In 1776, the United States Declaration of Independence swore to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all those that live in America. In 1787, the Constitution of the United States granted the security of the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity . It s blatantly obvious that the history of America, up until Alexis de Tocqueville wrote Democracy in America, had any of those attributes been granted wholly. Liberty is relatable to the State of Nature, John Locke describes in his Political Writings. Liberty is a state of entire freedom in thought, practice, mores, etc. Tocqueville argues that Liberty is a boundary, an imaginative idea, and almost an unreachable goal in the Democratic state of America. Tocqueville ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The majority is relatable to the power of estates in the part aristocratic democratic France following the French Revolution. Whereas, people are unified with their class and power is held within those who relate to each other. Unlike France, the makeup of the American public is more gentrified to one type living with a makeup of different ideologies. He states, by coming closer together, they seem to have found new reasons to hate each other (Tocqueville, 22) America thus forms a majority to terminate the inconstancies among the state of equality and to faction the population. Tocqueville first argues the challenge of the majority, freedom of association has become a necessary guarantee against the tyranny of the majority...the minority must resist the material power that oppresses it...one danger is set against another more to be feared (Tocqueville, 307). Therefore, there are limitations to the majority but, it is hard to overcome them as the majority is most powerful. He then describes the omnipotence of the majority and their power within the law. Ultimately, the majority has the power to decide what is just and therefore, limit the rights of others (Tocqueville, 410). Why not fight for complete transformation? Today the United States is more diverse than ever; however, diversity doesn t automatically mean tolerance. Don t think it stops there, fast forward about 100 years later to the Civil Rights Movement. Southern states created the Jim Crow laws prohibiting blacks from using the same bathrooms, schools, busses and even theatres as white people. They were by no means equal. This led to many protests, such as the march on Washington on August 28th 1963, where Martin Luther King Jr. made his famous I Have a Dream speech. Soon after, President John F. Kennedy passed The Civil Rights Act of 1964, banning segregation and racial discrimination in the work place and in education. Following this, came the Voting Rights Act of 1965, allowing black men and women the right to vote. Clearly, throughout history, Americans have struggled with racism, and it s not over ( Civil Rights Movement, 2017). In addition, white privilege dominated the United States since the beginning of the new world. White privilege from the past is hard to define, as it really was a belief, not a concrete concept. Throughout the story of The Wife of Bath he shows that knights should have a chivalry to uphold and should work hard to keep it. He also shows that everyday things that can be horrible end up happening in real life. Many times he also mentions religion and how it affects how some people are in the work of religion. Chivalry to uphold is a main part of the reason many knights had their place in society. They have a code of conduct in which they live by and they swear an oath to it. Many knights would swear to the oath but will break it if their loyalty wasn t in the right place. When getting this oath taken, the main thing knights will swear on is to lay their life on the line for the royal family and their home land. • 34. What Is The Mood Of The Hot Zone Our time is up far exceeded my expectations. It was funny and heartwarming all in a short amount of time. Exposition. Shots of routine everyday events are what first introduce us to the main character. Shots of his alarm clock going off at 7 am. How he gently turns off the alarm and goes to his closet of perfectly spaced identical shirts. His ties and shoes are perfectly organized. At 7:15 exactly he brews his coffee. When he goes to get the paper, the gardener tells him, Morning Dr. Stern, I added some new plants . With which he responds Yeah without turning around. He essentially ignored him because it is not part of his routine. While drinking his coffee, a shot of him reading National Psychologist helps us conclude that he is a doctor of psychology. Everything in his house is perfectly arranged, even his morning paper is perfectly parallel with his placemat. Everything about the exposition introduces him as a man very set in his ways and who does not like to stray from routine or organization. The inciting incident occurs when a newly licensed Dr. Gardenschwartz calls him to get some advice and to ask how Dr. Stern handles his own doctor patient relationships. This first introduces the plot because Dr. Stern answers him saying, All in due time and hangs up on the other practitioner. This simultaneously implies that Dr. Stern is somewhat rude, and secondly, follows his life and practice with the idea that everything will work itself out All in due time . This ... The Gateway Arch was designed by Finnish American architect Eero Saarinen in 1947. The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial construction started February 12, 1963, and was completed on October 28, 1965. At this time it costs $13 million but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Questions On Non Financial Firms 1. Introduction The 2007 2008 crisis started off in August 2007 as a subprime mortgage crisis primarily concentrated in the United States but quickly metamorphosized into a global financial crisis where financial institutions teeter on the edge of bankruptcy in many countries in addition to the United States. A global economic crisis ensues in which nonfinancial firms around the world appear to spiral downward as well. A key potential contributor to the plight of the non financial firms is the financial crisis itself, in the form of a negative shock to the supply of external finance needed by non financial firms. However, as the two quotes by some leading policymakers and scholars at the beginning of the paper indicate, the idea that non financial firms suffer from a strongly negative supply of finance shock is not universally shared. In addition, if non financial firms do not do well, there can certainly be other causes, such as a contraction of demand for their products. This paper has three objectives. First, it aims to develop a simple framework that can capture and quantify the relative importance of the finance shock to the economic health of non financial firms. Second, in a cross country context, it aims to investigate whether the responsiveness of the real economy to a given finance shock varies by country features that the literature suggests that could matter, such as the type of a financial system, the nature of a monetary and exchange rate regime, or the extent ...
