as comparing and contrasting these accounts through the ideas of Grotius in his two publications; The
Freedom of the Sea (1609) and The Laws of War and Peace (1625). In addition, the paper aims to

An example of a verbal communication within the work place would one to one supervisions held
between myself and my manager. Primarily, this verbal communication is to produce an effective
work plan whilst enabling feedback from both parties to be heard.
The communication process would typically begins with my manager (source) and is where the
context of the meeting is set and where encoding begins. It is important that the source uses
appropriate language during encoding and assumptions are not made about the receiver. Also
important is that messages are clear and concise so that the receiver can decode in a manner

Moll Flanders And Sexism In Literature
The appearance of women in 18th Century literary works, was on the rise. Women were side
characters early novels and often used by authors as a device to portray virtue and innocence to the
public. To set a standard of what an modest woman of this time period should stand for and how they
should interact with others. Women used as main protagonist faced great challenges and went to great
lengths to protect their virtue from the inappropriate touch of men. These women were wives with
maternal instincts, who wanted nothing more than to marry for love and have rooms filled with
children and expensive dresses only adding to the sexist stigma that oppressed the women of this time
period. Daniel Defoe decided to set himself apart from these clique novels and take on the flipped role
of critiquing this sexism with his novel the fortunes and misfortunes of the famous Moll Flanders. As
one of this period may see his novel as a place of sentiment with quick witted humor and a good
adventure novel, others and literary critics today see it as a critique itself on the sexism of the time
period. This was later confirmed to be the intended purpose in his work essay, his goal was to show
women in a different light, to make them understand the world (p.292). In his fictional tale of the life

Abstract: Children with Down syndrome typically have increased behavioral issues associated with
their disability due to the disabilities phenotype. Introducing a token economy system was proven
effective to increase the amount of running in the subject. The purpose of this study was to determine
the effectiveness of a token economy to increase running on command of a child with Down
syndrome. Having a token economy system in place, allows better stability and repetitiveness in their
daily lives. This essentially helps the student maintain behavioral control and the maladaptive
behaviors are less likely to happen. A five week token economy behavioral program was implemented
and included earning tokens (up to five) per session to exchange for up to five minutes of computer
time. The results drastically changed from pre intervention to post intervention by 80%. Every task
was completed and when asked, although there were still minor reoccurring behaviors that needed
correction. When implementing a token economy it is still important to manage the smaller behaviors
in order to increase the amount of physical activity completed per session.

In one of ours s trips to Colombia, we were going from Louisville to Bogota with scale in Huston, TX.
In Huston, We took our next plane, and when we were in the middle of the trip a lady who was drunk
tried to open the plane door, it was considered a crime against all the passengers, and our flight had to
turn back to Huston. Back in Huston airport the police was waiting, they came into the plane and
arrested this lady. We though we were going back to our trip right away, but the plane have had the

the wind, the alarms went off, oxygen mask felt down, the seat belts were not strong enough to keep
us in our seats, we were going up and down, shoes, wallets, purses, suit cases, and even a baby were
flight everywhere inside of the plane. Everybody was yelling out, crying, and praying. I saw all that
happening around us in slow motion, but everything was happening so fast. My kids and me, we
yelling for help, and crying, holding each other hands, this was going on, and on for about 15 min, the

Over the last two decades, study abroad programs have become gradually incorporated into the
standard curriculum of American business schools, and are now considered a defining characteristic of
such educational institutions (Altbach Knight, 2007; Loh, et al., 2011). As the economic, political, and
societal forces of globalization proliferate, the traditional belief that American students can be fully
educated toward becoming successful business leaders within the borders of the United States has
diminished (Loh, et al., 2011). Indeed, the extension of globalization into the realm of business
schools, and with it the prioritization of market logic, has pushed such educational entities toward
broader international involvement as they attempt to address the needs of a growing global business

How would you feel if you tried you re hardest to be good but only had bad things happen to you? It
simply wouldn t seem fair. This was the case for Jacob Blivens whom, The Story of the Good Little
Boy was fictionally about. Try as he might nothing works out in the end for Jacob which is a lesson
we all could learn from. You can do your best to achieve something but it doesn t mean that in the end
it will work out how you want it to. Twain s opinion that Jacob lives his life for an unrealistic dream
comes out in his use of diction, characterization, and irony.
The story starts by explaining how Jacob has always tried his hardest to be a good little boy like in the
Sunday school books he reads. It gives you many instances of this but instead of the praise Jacob is
seeking, he always ends up in trouble, normally because the situation is misunderstood. In the end it
takes this to the extreme with Jacob trying to undo what some bad boys did and dies tragically,
without saying the last words he had prepared.
The setting is important because back in the days when this story was written, children s books were
more just Sunday school tales. These stories would talk about little boys who followed all Gods
