Abstract A Wireless network is a dynamic network with large no.of nodes. As the traffic increases over
the network such type of network suffers from the problems like congestion and packet loss. But in
case of P2P network there is one more problem regarding the life of the network. A network can be
affected from some intruder or some broken link over the network As a result some loss of
information occur over the communication. The packet loss is acceptable upto some threshold value

Designing a foolproof security for ad hoc network is a challenging task due to its unique
characteristics such as, lack of central authority, frequent topology changes, rapid node mobility,
shared radio channel and limited availability of resources
The wireless networks use air through the operation of a communications protocol. For
synchronization, wireless networks employ a carrier sense protocol similar to the common Ethernet
standard. This protocol enables a group of wireless computers to share the same frequency and space.
While the term wireless network may technically be used to refer to any type of network that is
wireless, the term is most commonly used to refer to a telecommunications network whose
interconnections between nodes is implemented without the use of wires, such as a computer network
(which is a type of communications network).
The Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) has been involved in the development of
wireless LAN standards for the last seven years. Finally IEEE has evolved with a version of standard
to be used for wireless networks named as IEEE 802.11 in 1997.
Wireless networks refer to those networks that make use of radio waves or microwaves in order to
establish communication between the devices.

However with the increase in demand for hiring, availability of potential candidates can become
difficult to find. Demand for software developers has grown 16% from April 2013.
Bureau of Labor Statistics suggests that a median salary in 2012 for a software developer with an
associate s degree was estimated to be $93,350 per year ($44.88 per hour). The number of jobs in
2012 was forecasted to undergo a revolutionary change with demand increasing from 1,018,000 to
approximately 222,600 in 2022. In 2014, New York was listed as one of states with highest level of
employment in this occupation.
Computers and Information technology are involved in every aspect of our lives. Information
Technology (IT) helps in solving diverse tasks, integration and communication of businesses, which
requires a large workforce to develop, build, design and maintain technology. When the economy
started declining due to recession in 2007 2009, employment in software and IT were not significantly
affected. The industry lost one percent of its employment in 2009 but regained its business in 2010.
The demand for services in software and IT has resulted in creating a vast pool of high paying jobs.

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty Theme
Adaptation of Thurber s Walter Mitty In James Thurber s short story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,
the author contrasts one man s life with the numerous daydreams he has. Similar to the story, the film
by the same name, directed by Ben Stiller, gives a glimpse of Walter s life while adding substance to
the story. Two scenes in particular in the film involve flights that Walter feels compelled to make, both
in his decision to continue on a journey on which he has already embarked. While Thurber s short
story indicates that life without dreaming is dull, Stiller morphs this theme to show that we all must
step out of our shell to accomplish what we want in life. From the opening scene of the short story,
when Walter is fantasizing about being on a naval vessel during a terrible story, one can see how
tedious life can actually be. Walter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Walter s imagination pulled him away from the bland city streets of Waterbury and set him in a world
far more exciting than his own. Imagining a buzzing courtroom removed Walter from the bore life was
currently offering him; indeed, the mind has the power to remove an individual from the drudgery of
reality. What if we want to step outside the boundaries that are in front of us and take a risk in
believing that what is impossible might actually be within our fingertips? Stiller continues to show
how if not for taking this risk, individuals will remain locked inside their fantasy worlds. He illustrates
this in a scene where his character ultimately decides to board a helicopter with a slightly intoxicated
pilot in control. If Walter had chosen to cease his journey, then both his goal and his dream would
crumble. There are times in life when we must ask ourselves whether to step away from the norm to
continue the pursuit of personal desires or to remain immersed in comfort while knowing our dreams
and goals have

Types Of Silver Imolices At C-Nannowires
Fig. 1a shows the UV vis absorption spectrum of the as prepared Ag@C nanowires suspended in
deionized water, exhibiting a main peak at 386 nm and a shoulder peak at 360 nm, corresponding to
the optical finger print of silver nanowires. The absorption peak at 360 nm is attributed to the
longitudinal plasmon mode of silver nanowires and is similar to that of the bulk silver, and the
absorption peak at 386 nm is attributed to the transverse plasmon mode of silver nanowires. These two
absorption peaks suggest that pure Ag@C nanowires were successfully synthesized, and the Ag@C
nanowires had a sheath thickness of ~10 nm, consistent with our electron microscopic studies shown

spectroscopy and X ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were used for further confirming the
surface composition of the Ag@C nanowires. Fig. 1d shows the Raman spectrum of the as prepared
Ag@C nanowires, in which the two strong peaks at 1378 and 1597 cm 1 can be attributed to the in

formation of a carbonized layer. This carbon based layer might have originated from polymerization,
aromatization, and carbonization of glucose, based on previous studies demonstrating that the
hydrothermal process enables glucose to carbonize in the temperature rage 140 160 °C. Besides the
two peaks corresponding to amorphous and graphic carbon, the curve showed one broad peak at 2935
cm 1, attributed to the asymmetric stretching vibration of CH in the skeletal chain of glucose. A minor
peak at 230 cm 1 attributed to the Ag O stretching vibrations, confirming the coordination of glucose
molecule to the Ag surface through nonbonding electrons of the oxygen atom in the carbonyl
functionality. These results unambiguously show that glucose is carbonized and closely

The Impact Of Saint Junipero Serra
Saint Junipero Serra was born on the Island of Majorca on the 24th of November, 1713.1 To many, he
is often regarded as the founder and spiritual guardian of old Alta California, as witnessed in his rather
common title, The Father of California. 2 In response to this, an intelligent student of history might
ask himself, What effect did the man really have, if any at all? To find the answer, one must delve
back into the history of old Spanish California, taking a good look at the padre s past. To that end, this
report aims to present the logical conclusion from the facts and the evidence. Saint Junipero s ultimate
impact will be discerned with the following, especially his helping to found modern California, his
teaching and helping of the Indians, and his helping to bring the Catholic Faith.
To actually discern whether or not Saint Junipero Serra had a great effect on modern California, one
must first analyze the effect he had on old Spanish California. With this thought in mind, the first
possible thing to look at is the missions. These crusty, old adobe buildings, or groups of buildings,
were mainly used as headquarters and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first was how he helped in the founding of Modern California, specifically by the fact that Saint
Junipero Serra established nine different missions, thus changing the land forever, and the fact that he
and his followers brought Spanish in as the new primary language of the region. Next, the report
showed how he helped and taught the Indians, mostly through raising their standard of living and
teaching them new and advanced skills. Finally, this report revealed how he brought the Catholic faith
into the region, and taught it to the Indians through both teaching and example. In the end, Saint
Junipero has been adequately shown as having a great impact on California through these three

The Ventilation Strategies For Acute Respiratory Distress...
The purpose of this assessment is to critique a related pair of published papers surrounding the
ventilation strategies for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) within the Intensive Care Unit
(ICU).
My role as an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner (ACCP) involves me working with patients with
multi organ failure and more often respiratory failure following prolonged periods of ventilation and
lung insult. ARDS has been studied in a variety of settings since it was first introduced by Dr
Ashbaugh (Ashbaugh et al, 1967), at which time mortality was between 60% and 70%, however, the
most effective way to ventilate patients with ARDS is still being researched. Despite this ongoing
research into the management of ARDS, mortality remains at 35 40%. It is thought this is linked to
lack of knowledge and evidence regarding the pathological process of ARDS.
ARDS can be defined as an acute decrease in the ratio of arterial oxygen partial pressure to fractional
inspired oxygen (P/F) 30% surface area burns or any other condition which had a 50% 6 month
mortality. Although there are significant differences in each of these papers exclusion criteria they are
clearly identified, which is good practice and not always done (Van Spall et al, 2007). However, these
extensive exclusion criteria can impair generalisability of the trial results in the ICU.

My Consumption Of Soda By Coca Cola
I grew up in a home where nothing artificial was allowed, only organic and natural. If it came from a
garden or a field it usually made it to our table. We drank hot tea every day, there was never any
popcorn, pizza, or soda. I still remember the first time I had a slice of pizza and an ice cold glass of
Coca Cola in 1990. It was like a whole new world had opened up before me. I had fallen in love with
soda. I loved the sugary sweet stuff, with its carbonation dancing down your throat sip by sip. It was
heavenly. From that day on, no more hot tea, only soda all the way the colder the better. As the years
past my fondness of soda grew into an obsession. Somewhere in a twenty year span it became normal
for me to go to Walmart and buy 14 20 two liters of Coca Cola ever week and yes I did drink that
much soda every week.
My consumption of soda was so extreme that my friends and family regularly made fun of me for
having Coca Cola in my veins instead of blood and teasing me often by asking me if I wanted water to
thin it out some. It all came to ahead in the summer of 2010. I had just finished mowing the grass and
I was worn out and exhausted. I drank my soda with a lot of ice and started to feel even worse. That is
how my family found me on the couch, exhausted and white as a sheet. The only thing I could do was
look up at them, my limbs felt like lead. Both of my daughters, Jessica and Eileen, insisted I drink the
glass of water they had handed to me. My best friend, Trae,

ABSTRACT:
For the effective product based methodology and for the documentation of software based systems
Agile modeling is the best practice. Whereas agile modelling is collection of the values and the
practices of the software modelling which can he applied in a software development project in a most
effective manner. I would like take this paper as medium and discuss the goals and the scope for the
Agile modeling. The main concentrations is about the two approaches of software development i.e

This better communication leads for the good understanding in the modeling phase about the
requirements of the customers. So, this will helps to meet the needs of the stakeholders. And having
the feedback on the work is very important. And also humility by letting others also to add the value to
the project efforts.
Principles:
Modeling should be simple.
Should be quick in changes because requirements of the customers will change over time.
Changes should be made for enable agility.
As mention above feedback should be taken on the work to meet the needs of the stakeholders.
Start the model with a purpose and take and refer multiple models for the effective development.
Representation is very important than content.
Modeler should have knowledge about the tools.
Focus is need for the better quality of work.
Practices:
Several Models should be created parallel.
Right artifacts.
Small increments should be used in a model.
Goals of Agile Modeling:
To define the model and put that model into practice, collections of the values, principles and practices
and agile modeling should be light weight.
To use the agile approach on applying the modeling techniques on the projects which are eXtreme
programming (XP), DSDM or SCRUM.
And to address an issue on how the model effectively made on a unified process (UP) project, and also

The Growth Of The Manufacturing And Agriculture Sectors
Increased productivity in the manufacturing and agriculture sectors has created a higher level of
disposable income in the population, which has led to increased purchases of services. As income
rises, the demand for goods tends to rise less rapidly than the demand for services; hence, the
importance of services in the economy will rise. The result has been an evolution of the economy from
one geared primarily to manufactured goods to an economy engaged in the creation of services. Thus
the growth of services has been significant. Changes in the pattern of employment will have
implications upon where and how people live, upon educational requirements, and consequently upon
the kinds of organizations that will be important to society. Industrialization created the need for
semiskilled worker who could be trained in a few weeks to perform the routine tasks attending
machines. The service economy has caused a shift to white collar occupations in health, education,
and government. For the first time in the history of industrial society, the number of white collar
workers (professionals; managers; officials; proprietors, clerical kindred, and sales workers) exceeded
the number of blue collar workers (craftsmen and foremen; operatives; and laborers) and the gap is
widening. The most interesting growth has been in the managerial and professional technical fields.
The coordination of machines and people for the production of goods was central to the industrial
society.

world is Jane Goodall. She is a renowned British primatologist and ethologist who is an enthusiastic
activist on the behalf of animals and the natural environment. Goodall has used her interest in such a

positive impact of the animal world to this date. Valerie Jane Morris Goodall was born on April 3,
1934 in London England. Her family consisted of her father Mortimer Herbert Goodall, her mother
Vanne Morris Goodall and her sister Judy. She was born into a middle class British family in which
her father was an engineer and her mother was a successful novelist. Her childhood is notably
described as a happy one with much time spent playing and exploring outside her family s home in

Upon The Burning Of Our House, By Bradstreet, Taylor, And...
When the topic of Puritan literature is alluded to, most literary critics reflect on one similarity:
religion. However, Puritan literature is far too complex to characterize the entire category by a single
component. Pieces of Puritan literature can differ in a multitude of literary devices. One literary device
that distinguishes pieces of literature is the purpose of the author. This difference is shown in the
following works: Upon the Burning of Our House, by Anne Bradstreet, Upon a Spider Catching a Fly,
by Edward Taylor, and Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, by Jonathan Edwards. Bradstreet,
Taylor, and Edwards use literary aspects, such as purpose, to differentiate the common topic of
religion. The three selections are similar ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the poems were not written with intentions of publication, Bradstreet and Taylor s poems are
meant to edify the readers. Bradstreet wrote, A price so vast as is unknown, / Yet by His gift is made
thine own; / There s wealth enough, I need no more, / Farewell, my pelf, farewell, my store
(Bradstreet 49 52). This quote informs the readers that all things belong to God, so an attachment to
material items must not evolve. Taylor explains God s ability to protect His followers from evil
through stating, But mighty, Gracious Lord / Communicate / Thy Grace to breake the Cord, afford /
Us Glory s Gate / And State (Taylor 42 46). While these selections are didactic, Edward s sermon is
meant to persuade his listeners. Edwards states, So that, thus it is that natural men are held in the hand
of God, over the pit of hell; they have deserved the fiery pit, and are already sentenced to it; and God
is dreadfully provoked, his anger is as great towards them as to those that are actually suffering the
executions of the fierceness of his wrath in hell; and they have done nothing in the least to appease or
abate that anger,... (Edwards 126). In this quote Edwards attempts to persuade his audience to
transform themselves from natural men into new creatures to diminish the anger that God feels
towards those who have not been born

Choices In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Choices are present in every aspect of society, and all humans are forced to make choices throughout
their lifetimes. One of those choices that must be made correlates with a theme that resonates
throughout all of William Shakespeare s plays. One of his works, A Midsummer Night s Dream, can
provoke his readers to significantly ponder on the idea of love. All individuals must decide for
themselves how love works. Is it a choice, or unavoidable feelings that can t be explained? It can be
debated that in Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream, individuals do not have the luxury of
being able to choose whom they love. Their hearts simply just love. This play has a rather symbolic
way of revealing its author s interpretation of this theme. Every

Emily Dickinson Transcendentalism
Emily Dickinson is a well known name in literature not only among connoisseurs of poetry, but also to
the novice reader. She is most commonly known for her macabre and spooky poems about death or an
experience of dying. However, the number of poems Emily wrote about nature and her spirituality far
outnumber the mysterious and eerie. During Emily s lifetime, a new way of thinking swept across the
eastern United States. Transcendentalism was a budding philosophical idea popularized in the late
1830 s. The core beliefs of this movement were the focus on the oneness with the self, nature, and
God. From these set beliefs, it becomes easy to see Emily Dickinson in a new light. No longer does
she appear the dark and dreary loner that she is famous for personifying. Conversely, she transforms
into a being that was far more in tune with nature and her true self. Emily Dickinson s poetry gives a
direct reference to transcendentalism by exploring the relationships between nature, spirituality, and
the true self. Beginning in the mid 1800 s, transcendentalism was a unique movement specific to the
United States. Commonly referred to as the American Renaissance, the movement began as a rebellion
against the staunchness of Christian life. Coupled with the idea that all humans are innately good and
there is oneness in nature and spirituality, transcendentalism clashed with the Puritan ideals that were
prevalent during the era. New England Transcendentalism originated in the area around Concord,
Massachusetts, and from 1830 to 1855 represented a battle between the younger and older generations
and the emergence of a new national culture based on native materials. ( Transcendentalism ). Focused
mainly on the eastern coast, it had a profound influence on many of the times writers and thinkers.
Among the most noted authors that adhered to this up and coming philiosophy was Ralph Waldo
Emmerson. Made famous by several of his speeches and essays, Emmerson brought transcendentalism
into the consciousness of the American public. Calling for all people to look within themselves for
spiritual exploration and finding their true self contrasted drastically with Christianity, which was
dominant in the nation. Emmerson challenged

Equity of Trade Versus Free Trade Essay
Equity of Trade Versus Free Trade
The U.S. has a huge trade imbalance with most trading nations. The imbalance is not in agriculture,
although many food products both raw and processed enter the U.S. at prices below those for
comparable U.S. grown foodstuffs. To a large degree the imbalance is in manufactured goods. One
reason is that many nations have lower costs of production based upon a lower standard of living,
cheap labor, inexpensive raw materials, protective government policy, etc. Multinationals who have
moved their plants to foreign locations enjoy the best of both worlds inexpensive manufacturing costs
and unlimited access to the world s biggest consumer market, the USA. Our laissez faire trade stance,

It s logical to believe that the foreign trading entity will not leave all the tariff money and accrued
interest to go into the U.S. Treasury by default. It will purchase a like amount of goods and services to
wipe out the trade credit account.
Analyze what happened: No one got taken advantage of. America got the imported goods. The foreign
entity received a like amount of American goods or services. The trade books are balanced. All monies
earned interest every step of the way.
The U.S. didn t allow inexpensive foreign goods to displace American goods on price alone. It made
the foreign goods compete on a quality basis with American goods. American consumers will make
the choice of which is better at a comparable price. If the foreign goods are really superior to the
American goods, then the foreign manufacturer will have earned an increased share of the world
market and the U.S. manufacturer or ag producer will have to get more competitive or go out of
business. The reverse is also true so the free market and the law of supply and demand still gets a
chance to work, but it works on the basis of quality and value, not upon inherent differences in world
standards of living.
Is it logical for the U.S. to unilaterally adopt Equity of Trade? It is logical if Americans want to
continue the nation s constitutional directive to protect the American

The Causes Of Premature Neonates
Introduction
Premature neonates or preterm babies refer to the neonates that are born before 37 weeks of gestation
are over. Given that most of the body organs are not completely developed at this stage, the neonates
have a high risk of developing many complications at birth. A good example of these organs is the
lungs, which completely mature by week 36 of gestation. The surfactant production does not begin
until 20 weeks of gestation age; at this stage of gestation surfactant only present in small amount and
in immature form. The mature surfactant production begins approximately after 35 weeks of gestation
age. Even though the lung has mature surfactant at this stage it is not completely capable of
respiratory function. Therefore, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, even if these methods have managed to reduce mortality in preterm infants, they are
associated with serious adverse effects that may be fatal or contribute to chronic conditions later in life
of the patient.
According to DiBlasi, even in animal models, the conventional methods cause inflammation of the
lungs and sometimes cause injure to the lungs.1 These techniques also cause redundancy in alveolar
growth and also affect the efficacy of surfactant produced in the animal lung.1 This is a good signal
that these techniques may have serious consequences in the neonate. One of the adverse effects of
invasive and mechanical ventilation is ventilator induced lung injury.1 This complication is defined by
the presence of polytrauma (excessive tidal volume) and shear injury to the airways, a condition
known as atelectrauma.1 Insertion of the endotracheal tube into the lungs through the airways also
causes injury to the lungs and the airways, a condition known as endotrauma.1
Insertion of the endotracheal tube through the airways is also a painful procedure that may need the
neonate to be sedated first. According to DiBlasi, insertion of the tube may also cause acute airway
injury, emergencies, an infestation of the airway with bacteria,

The Country Of Moldova And The European Union
Until recently, the country of Moldova did not even exist to my knowledge. I had never heard its
name, did not know where it was located, and I obviously had no idea about the extremely complex
and serious ongoing issue with their government system. Moldova is one of the poorest countries in all
of Europe and has been tossed around between Russian and Romanian control since the 16th century.
It only officially declared its sovereignty from its last owner, Russia, in 1990, its independence in
1991, and became a part of the United Nations in 1992. Even though it finally gained its
independence, Moldova just cannot win for losing. It seems no matter what political decisions they

This gave many people in Moldova the impression that if the country sides with the EU, they will be

this corruption occurring in the Moldovan government and is questioning Moldova s ability to be a
part of the EU. I chose to research this issue because the current corruption of the Moldovan
government and its impact on its people, is going to play a major role in the future of Moldova as a
country. How these events are influencing the opinions of the people will ultimately determine the
structure of Moldova s government, and this is a big deal for this struggling country. I personally do
not have an opinion yet about this issue as I am not adequately informed about the pros and cons of
the two political parties in conflict, but I hope to be able to better understand the two sides of this issue
and possibly develop my own opinion on the issue of Moldova s future government. Moldova s people
are faced between the choices of Socialist Russia, who is impressing on them with economical threats,
or continuing down the path towards the EU, which as their government appears to be bathed with
corrupted politics and politicians, is proving to be more of an obstacle than once imagined. Of which
is the lesser of two evils for this poor, literally and figuratively, European country?

Health And Patient Education For Diabetic Foot Care
Population Health and patient education for diabetic foot care
Generally our population sees diabetes as a disease for people that can t eat sugar, but, those with
diabetes know it comes with some life changing events. Diabetes effects an estimated 29.1 million
Americans each day. Diabetes develops in one of two forms, Type one and Type two. Type one is
insulin dependent diabetes, where the body lacks production of insulin (Ignatavicius Workman, 2013).
Type two diabetics are insulin resistant, affecting mostly adults (Ignatavicius Workman, 2013).
Diabetes is a chronic illness that accounts for many comorbidities and complications to those suffering
from the disease. Diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death from conditions including,
hypertension, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, stroke, blindness, kidney disease,
and amputations (American Diabetes Association, 2016). Management of these complications can
occur with proper education, health promotion, and prevention from the patient. Foot care and ulcer
prevention can reduce or eliminate complications suffered by diabetics; leading to infections requiring
hospitalization and the most serious amputations. Teaching this population or any population about
their healthcare needs and requirements can be difficult. Establishing the best way to education will be
explored within this paper. Throughout this paper the author will take a look at daily foot care and
prevention of ulcers. The paper will

Abigail Adams Persuasion Essay
Abigail Adams, wife of John Adams and mother of John Quincy Adams, was the major supporter and
driver of the men in her family. On January 12th of 1780, A. Adams wrote to her dear son J.Q. Adams,
explaining why she implored him to travel to France with his father. As his mother, she had
confidence that she knew best and it was her obligation to influence her son s decision. A. Adams uses
persuasion and logic to advise her son that his voyage to France with his father will be worthwhile.
Abigail Adams seems to be distraught at the fact that she compelled her son to travel to France with
his father. According to her, her choice to require his travel was driven by the fact that she did not
have faith that her son was, capable of judging what was most for [his] own benefit. It is to be taken
into consideration that J.Q. Adams was merely a thirteen year old youth. Argument and persuasion

Some may ask but condoms are latex and I m allergic to latex, what should I do? There is to be no
worries, condoms are also made with other material for people who are allergic to latex, therefore
there is no excuse for not protecting yourself. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention states
Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier
to particles the size of STD pathogens. ( Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ) Thus aiding in
the reason why condoms are so important, to maintain healthy sex life s. Next, a very useful way to
stay STD free is to know your status. Most students today have no clue they are infected and
unknowingly pass it on to partners or spouses. The government has made available health clinics
where check up s to know your status on STD s are free. Clinics are also places where treatment can
be given, if a certain STD is found and is treatable. Many students are embarrassed or scared to know
their status and would rather just live their lives, not knowing their status. This mindset among
citizens is very selfish, which can lead to the danger of others. In the sense of a woman knowing her

learning experiences can take place at home, school, the workplace, or anywhere else. The three major

stories to many people at one time, but I was nervous and somewhat embarrassed about preparing
some boring speech and making everyone else suffer by listening to it. Mrs. Larson explained that we

stuck in my mind: The only way to get over the fear of something is to just do it. She was right. As I

I realized that we were all in the same boat suffering from the same seasickness nervousness, We all
had to give speeches. No one was out to criticize anyone else and we all ended up supporting each

My Life At An Outpatient Rehabilitation Center
Research Paper
Robert H. Mixon III
American Military University 19 July 2015
Abstract
Ever since my mother started working at an outpatient rehabilitation center, I have always wanted to
be a physical therapist. I chose to right my paper on this field for the fact that I have seen the ins and
outs of the career field. I have spent the majority of my teen life in the gym working out next to many
of the physical therapists as they worked and have become quite close to many of them. I feel as
though this field is great for those that care for their patients and like to see them get better. This is
where the I want to walk again becomes the I will walk again . In that gym, I have seen the rubber
meet the road and words become to actions. Thus, I have been driven to become one of them rather
than just another onlooker.
The healthcare profession of physical therapist started in the Hippocrates and Greek culture,
progressing through to today s day and age where we are utilizing state of the art equipment to
rehabilitate and treat patients so they are able to live a better life for themselves and their loved ones.
The Greek culture is where physical therapy started. It was the basis here that gave life to treating
diseases and injuries through exercises. It continued to progress through the centuries adding to its
toolbox the use of temperature change and electricity as well as other

Graduation Speech On The Classroom
During the past three weeks, I have observed three individual students in my 4th grade classroom. All
of the learners in the classroom are very intelligent students; however, three students stand out to me
on a daily basis for different reasons. Student A receives special education services for her reading and
writing skills. She works with a para every day to work on her reading and handwriting skills. Student
B is a gifted learner and participates in an advanced math program that the 4th and 5th grade classes
receive, if they are academically eligible. Student C is an average student in the classroom, but
struggles on a daily basis due to lack of motivation. He does not receive any services, but is redirected
by the cooperating teacher and myself. An appropriate strategy to differentiate instruction for Student
A is by allowing a para to come into the classroom and having the para work as the student s scribe.
This has actually been tested with the student and the result was a success. Student A is able to
verbalize what she wants her writing to include and the para writes these ideas down for her. With the
Nebraska State Writing Assessment approaching this week, this method has been decided upon as the
method that will help the student to be most successful during the reserved writing days. Student B
goes beyond what is asked of her and the cooperating teacher is constantly looking for ways to
challenge her so she can continue to learn in the classroom.

The Setting of The Jolly Corner and The Devil s Advocate Evoek the Supernatural
The Oxford English Dictionary defines supernatural as That which is above nature; belonging to a
higher realm or system than that of nature; transcending the powers or the ordinary course of nature.
Through the duration of mankind s existence, humans have been fascinated with a higher power that
defies the laws of nature. Supernatural themes have stimulated literature and the arts, both ancient and
modern. Many parallels can be connected between stories involving the paranormal. The setting of

Another element of setting in which the supernatural is evoked is the time of day in which the story
takes place. The majority of the story takes place at night and during twilight. The cleaning lady, Mrs.
Muldoon, says that she won t stay in the house during the dark hours of the night, suggesting that
uncanny happenings occur during the night. Spencer Brydon always entered the house during twilight
symbolizing that he is at a threshold crossing in which he will transform himself into his
doppleganger. The night and twilight setting stimulate a dark and mysterious feeling towards the
house. Finally, the last major detail that evokes the supernatural within the setting is the location of the
house. The house is located on the west side of town, which is closer to his origin (United States of
America). The house being on the west side symbolizes what he may have been if he had stayed in the
United States of America. This suggests that his doppleganger of the person he would have been if he
had stayed in the United States is actually present. Another work that suggests the supernatural
through it s setting is The Devil s Advocate. In this movie, Keanu Reeves, who plays the main
character, is a lawyer. He moves to New York, a dismal city, to work for a law firm. The owner of the
law firm is secretly his father and the Devil. When Reeves meets the owner, Al Pacino, it takes place

By 1935 rearmament was well underway. This involved conscription and munitions factories.
Rearmament alarmed the French who, feeling insecure, reinforced the Maginot line (built between

Switzerland, Germany would be able to avoid it and invade France via Belgium. France remained

Rhetorical Analysis Of Staying By Scott Russell Sanders
In the passage from Staying: Making a home in a restless world, Scott Russell Sanders responds to an
essay by Salman Rushdie, a writer who left his native India for England. To develop his perspective
about moving, Sanders uses a variety of rhetorical strategies. Scott Russell Sanders introduces his
viewpoint by saying: In the newspaper I read that, even though our sprawling system of interstate
highways is crumbling, the president has decided that we should triple it in size, and all without
raising our taxes a nickel. Only a populace drunk on driving, a populace infatuated with the myth of
the open road, could hear such a proposal without hooting (lines 20 26). In this example, Scott Russell
Sanders mentions the expansion of interstate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, he evokes the support of his idea that moving is unreasonable and illogical within the reader. In
addition, the author opposes Rushdie s enthusiasm for migration by quoting Rushdie s words on the
elimination of nationalism that comes with moving. Sanders then says, ... who would pretend that a
history of migration has immunized the United States against bigotry? And even if, by uprooting
ourselves, we shed our chauvinism, is that all we lose? (lines 40 43) Sanders uses rhetorical questions
to show reader that nationalism may be lost when people move, but the greater aspects of a country
may be lost as well. With this said, the author includes historical references to verify his claim that
many of the worst abuses have been carried out by people who root themselves in ideas rather than
places . Scott Russell Sanders includes how nations have been sabotaged after migration when he
says: Migrants often pack up their visions and values with the rest of their bagages and carry them
along. The Spaniards devastated Central and South America by imposing on this New World the

The Effects of Social Isolation in the Invisible Man by...
Social Isolation, a state or process in which persons, groups, or cultures lose or do not have
communication or cooperation with one another, often resulting in open conflict. In H.G Wells 1897
novel The Invisible Man, the main character, Griffin, is socially isolated due to a condition that has
forced him to stay out of the scrutinizing eye of society .As the novel progresses, the effects of social
isolation begin to take form in Griffin s actions and become more pertinent with each event that
occurs. These actions show the effects of social isolation throughout the course of the novel.
The beginning of Griffin s social isolation begins early in his life. Griffin is albino, meaning that he
has little to no pigmentation in his skin, eyes, and hair. This condition makes it exceptionally
challenging for Griffin to be a cohesive member of society, so in order to avoid the eminent rejection
that he believes awaits him if he tries to join society, he chooses to become an introvert. The
expression a fish out of water reminds us that every animal is adapted to a habitat (Pinker 374). Griffin
does not have a habitat to adapt to because he lives outside of society and has no one to help him
adapt. At this point Griffin is able to be diagnosed with a form of social loneliness due to his feelings
of being an outcast (Gelinas 4). After Griffin is isolated from society for a short period of time, his
anger starts to progress into something that even he cannot control. As the novel

Michelle Rhee s Analysis
Michelle Rhee is an extremely polarizing figure in the educational reform movement. She was hired
as the Chancellor of the Washington, D.C. Public School System in January, 2007. Rhee had very little
teaching experience, only three years, and she had never been in charge of a school before.
(Dingerson, 2010) Still, she had a high level of confidence and she felt that she had a strong sense of
what needed to be done to improve the school system.
At one of her first press conferences, Rhee stated, I know what the obstacles are in these systems that
are not conducive to affecting change. (Dingerson, 2010) These were haunting words to the many
veteran teachers of the DCPS , the author of this article states. (Dingerson, 2010) Michelle Rhee came
into this position in a judgmental way, not taking the time to research and study the specific problem.
Instead, she brought about sweeping changes, which focused on reducing the power that teachers with
tenure and their union had. (Dingerson, 2010)
In her first few months, Rhee demonstrated the frenetic pace of activity that became her trademark.

Dylan Thomas reached such great success due to his colorful history, his ability to involve his history
in his poems, and the complex emotion his poems were able to convey despite disapproval.
Dylan Thomas was born in Wales on October 27, 1914. He attended a grammar school where his
father taught. Thomas was an indifferent to all subjects except for literature for which he immediately
became very passionate for. At an extremely young age (grade school) Thomas began to focus on
poetry and short poems and even went on to publish his first poem when he was eleven in his school s
magazine. Thomas continued to write throughout his adolescence and moved to London where his
first book of poetry called Eighteen Poems was published in 1934. Although Thomas s writings were
somewhat successful he got little money from this profession which some believe led to the start of his
alcoholism. It was also the lackadaisical lifestyle of a writer (his free time was used for hanging out
with friends at pubs and visiting areas of town frequented by prostitutes ) that contributed to this
downward spiral into alcoholism. During this time, Thomas was publishing even more short stories

Why Democratic States Do Not Fight Each Other
Why democratic states do not fight each other
The German philosopher Immanuel Kant outlined an original relevant idea in his essay Perpetual
Peace (1795). Kant s theory is based on a world with countries sharing a common a constitutional
republic as political regime, where people would appeal for a continuous or perpetual peace as an
ideal for living. The principle of Kant s idea is that people will not decide to go on war unless to
defend themselves and because of this there would be no aggressor nations and the war occurrences
would end. For Kant, the reluctance of the people to support war and its related costs restrains
democratic leaders from engaging conflicts with other nations.
The democratic peace theory is perhaps the most influential liberal contribution to the debate on the
cause of peace and war in the study of international relations. This theory refers to the impression that
states that are democracy by nature do not go to war with one another, a fact which historically ...

In other words, economic interdependence helps create transnational ties that promote peace rather
than conflict. The economic interdependence significantly reduces the possibility of confrontation
between states. It is more likely for countries who share the same values, to have close economic ties
with each other.
Transnational and international institutions encourages the existence of peace between democratic
states, they are peaceful toward each other because they are bound by common ties in a system of
institutions crossing national boundaries. Democratic states usually share many common institutions,
which tend to shape their behaviour with one another.one of the best example of such, are the
establishment of the United Nations, which was built to create an atmosphere that would be unable to
make war on each

Group Reflection Essay
Participation in group discussions has been a weakness for me, but I have communicated with my PIE
group everyday to discuss homework and exams. Although I was not a leader in the classroom, I did
serve as leader in my tri pie and I took initiative to talk to Mrs. McMillan about my speech and group.
I believe I deserve a 90/100 in my communication and participation skills.
With my tri pie, I would remind them everyday for homework, projects, and exams. I would explain
any questions they would have and provide extra info and study guides for them. For example, I
would insist that they do the quizlet I created for Freshmen and Sophomore vocabulary everyday for
at least 15 minutes a day. I also used videochat to help both of my members for presentation and
speeches. We would practice for at least 30 minutes for any presentation, such as the Side Project. As
a result, we got a 38/45. We took advantage of break by practicing our part during that time. This
helped us improve our abilities and skills on presentation because I would give my perspective on our
group s strengths and weaknesses. From this communication, I decided to create a group chat called
Carrot Juice to discuss our problems and how we could solve them by working together. One of the
problems we had was our grade checks, so we used our group chat to message each other when to
meet up, such as at break. By doing this, we were familiar with each other and our communication
began to grow because we began using this social platform more often. When one of our PIE members
was absent, we would use this group chat to collect and turn in their homework even though they were
not there. Furthermore, I communicated with Mrs. McMillan about my speech and how I could
improve on it. I took her notes into consideration about my posture and engagement with the audience.
I asked her how I could improve my specific flaws, which resulted in me choosing a different story in
my fifth attempt. Because of Mrs. McMillan s advice, I received an all perfect on my speech.
Additionally, I asked McMillan s advice on how I could further support my group because I believed a
person with year s of experience would be more helpful than doing it alone. I discussed my

The Pale Blue Dot
As we often disregard or remain ignorant to our inadvertent or purposeful killing of our planet, Carl
Sagan gives us a lesson in humility and a reminder of our folly and obscurity as humans. The Pale
Blue Dot is where our species has lived forever, where we fritter our time away on things that in
retrospect were quite inane or detrimental, but made perfect sense at the time. War and overheating of
our planet we do a lot of unscrupulous things it seems, although in the end, in the grand scheme of the
universe it s all pointless. To those on Earth everything happening on our planet is relative. We are
conceited, thinking we are at the center of the universe, as if everything revolves around us, lured into
a false sense of security that we are special and help ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Images of the way we embellished our planet with innovation, love and courage were juxtaposed with
images of the blood, scars, and destruction we also paint our planet with. This video made me wonder
how humans will proceed in the future with the issue of climate change. Will we come to our senses
and mitigate the damage caused by our wrongdoings to our only home? Or will we continue to display
the human race as a contradictory race, one that is conceited and yet will be its own downfall? I
believe Sagan made this video to encourage us to look at all the things humans have done in the past
and remind us that we may be the generation that continues or exterminates our existence and renders
all efforts and history void. He probably wanted to remind us of our small, unimportant world and
how it s our duty to protect and sustain life on it since it is the only life we know. We are encouraged
to humble ourselves because we are not the center of the universe, and there s no one out there to pity
or remember the parasitic human race. At the moment our future seems

Desert Biome Research Paper
Desert Vegetation
Desert flora have adapted to combat extreme weather conditions. The various types of plants have
micro evolved to survive in the heat, along with other environmental deficits. The physical and
behavioral adaptions have allowed these plant species to flourish. It s important to understand the
plants adaptations to the climate and environment, as well as the medical uses and dangers of these
plants. The various vegetation within the desert biome have overcome the dry climate and minuscule
levels of water. The desert biome is an area that receives less than 10in of rain a year (Fig.1). There is
several classifications of a desert. They can range from: hot and dry, semiarid, coastal and cold. The
plants are known for being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These plants have become extremely suited for the environment. Without these adaptations these
plants would not be able to survive. The plants host many deadly toxins to deter predators away. The
plants also share benefits that could save lives. The desert vegetation is important for the ecosystem to

Prof., PDM College2 Bahadurgah, Haryana RahulYadav.project@gmail.com ? Abstract A Wireless network is a dynamic network with large no.of nodes. As the traffic increases over the network such type of network suffers from the problems like congestion and packet loss. But in case of P2P network there is one more problem regarding the life of the network. A network can be affected from some intruder or some broken link over the network As a result some loss of information occur over the communication. The packet loss is acceptable upto some threshold value but as there is more packet ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Designing a foolproof security for ad hoc network is a challenging task due to its unique characteristics such as, lack of central authority, frequent topology changes, rapid node mobility, shared radio channel and limited availability of resources The wireless networks use air through the operation of a communications protocol. For synchronization, wireless networks employ a carrier sense protocol similar to the common Ethernet standard. This protocol enables a group of wireless computers to share the same frequency and space. While the term wireless network may technically be used to refer to any type of network that is wireless, the term is most commonly used to refer to a telecommunications network whose interconnections between nodes is implemented without the use of wires, such as a computer network (which is a type of communications network). The Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) has been involved in the development of wireless LAN standards for the last seven years. Finally IEEE has evolved with a version of standard to be used for wireless networks named as IEEE 802.11 in 1997. Wireless networks refer to those networks that make use of radio waves or microwaves in order to

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty Theme Adaptation of Thurber s Walter Mitty In James Thurber s short story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the author contrasts one man s life with the numerous daydreams he has. Similar to the story, the film by the same name, directed by Ben Stiller, gives a glimpse of Walter s life while adding substance to the story. Two scenes in particular in the film involve flights that Walter feels compelled to make, both in his decision to continue on a journey on which he has already embarked. While Thurber s short story indicates that life without dreaming is dull, Stiller morphs this theme to show that we all must step out of our shell to accomplish what we want in life. From the opening scene of the short story, when Walter is fantasizing about being on a naval vessel during a terrible story, one can see how tedious life can actually be. Walter ... What if we want to step outside the boundaries that are in front of us and take a risk in believing that what is impossible might actually be within our fingertips? Stiller continues to show how if not for taking this risk, individuals will remain locked inside their fantasy worlds. He illustrates this in a scene where his character ultimately decides to board a helicopter with a slightly intoxicated pilot in control. If Walter had chosen to cease his journey, then both his goal and his dream would crumble. To find the answer, one must delve back into the history of old Spanish California, taking a good look at the padre s past. To that end, this report aims to present the logical conclusion from the facts and the evidence. Saint Junipero s ultimate impact will be discerned with the following, especially his helping to found modern California, his teaching and helping of the Indians, and his helping to bring the Catholic Faith. The Growth Of The Manufacturing And Agriculture Sectors Increased productivity in the manufacturing and agriculture sectors has created a higher level of disposable income in the population, which has led to increased purchases of services. As income rises, the demand for goods tends to rise less rapidly than the demand for services; hence, the importance of services in the economy will rise. The result has been an evolution of the economy from one geared primarily to manufactured goods to an economy engaged in the creation of services. Thus the growth of services has been significant. Changes in the pattern of employment will have implications upon where and how people live, upon educational requirements, and consequently upon the kinds of organizations that will be important to society. Industrialization created the need for semiskilled worker who could be trained in a few weeks to perform the routine tasks attending machines. The service economy has caused a shift to white collar occupations in health, education, and government. For the first time in the history of industrial society, the number of white collar workers (professionals; managers; officials; proprietors, clerical kindred, and sales workers) exceeded the number of blue collar workers (craftsmen and foremen; operatives; and laborers) and the gap is widening. • 21. Emily Dickinson Transcendentalism Emily Dickinson is a well known name in literature not only among connoisseurs of poetry, but also to the novice reader. She is most commonly known for her macabre and spooky poems about death or an experience of dying. However, the number of poems Emily wrote about nature and her spirituality far outnumber the mysterious and eerie. During Emily s lifetime, a new way of thinking swept across the eastern United States. Transcendentalism was a budding philosophical idea popularized in the late 1830 s. The core beliefs of this movement were the focus on the oneness with the self, nature, and God. From these set beliefs, it becomes easy to see Emily Dickinson in a new light. No longer does she appear the dark and dreary loner that she is famous for personifying. Conversely, she transforms into a being that was far more in tune with nature and her true self. Emily Dickinson s poetry gives a direct reference to transcendentalism by exploring the relationships between nature, spirituality, and the true self. Beginning in the mid 1800 s, transcendentalism was a unique movement specific to the United States. Commonly referred to as the American Renaissance, the movement began as a rebellion against the staunchness of Christian life. Coupled with the idea that all humans are innately good and there is oneness in nature and spirituality, transcendentalism clashed with the Puritan ideals that were prevalent during the era. New England Transcendentalism originated in the area around Concord, Massachusetts, and from 1830 to 1855 represented a battle between the younger and older generations and the emergence of a new national culture based on native materials. ( Transcendentalism ). Focused mainly on the eastern coast, it had a profound influence on many of the times writers and thinkers. Among the most noted authors that adhered to this up and coming philiosophy was Ralph Waldo Emmerson. The imbalance is not in agriculture, although many food products both raw and processed enter the U.S. at prices below those for comparable U.S. grown foodstuffs. To a large degree the imbalance is in manufactured goods. One reason is that many nations have lower costs of production based upon a lower standard of living, cheap labor, inexpensive raw materials, protective government policy, etc. Multinationals who have moved their plants to foreign locations enjoy the best of both worlds inexpensive manufacturing costs and unlimited access to the world s biggest consumer market, the USA. A good example of these organs is the lungs, which completely mature by week 36 of gestation. The surfactant production does not begin until 20 weeks of gestation age; at this stage of gestation surfactant only present in small amount and in immature form. The mature surfactant production begins approximately after 35 weeks of gestation age. Even though the lung has mature surfactant at this stage it is not completely capable of respiratory function. However, even if these methods have managed to reduce mortality in preterm infants, they are associated with serious adverse effects that may be fatal or contribute to chronic conditions later in life of the patient. According to DiBlasi, even in animal models, the conventional methods cause inflammation of the lungs and sometimes cause injure to the lungs.1 These techniques also cause redundancy in alveolar growth and also affect the efficacy of surfactant produced in the animal lung.1 This is a good signal that these techniques may have serious consequences in the neonate. One of the adverse effects of invasive and mechanical ventilation is ventilator induced lung injury.1 This complication is defined by the presence of polytrauma (excessive tidal volume) and shear injury to the airways, a condition known as atelectrauma.1 Insertion of the endotracheal tube into the lungs through the airways also causes injury to the lungs and the airways, a condition known as endotrauma.1 Insertion of the endotracheal tube through the airways is also a painful procedure that may need the neonate to be sedated first. According to DiBlasi, insertion of the tube may also cause acute airway injury, emergencies, an infestation of the airway with bacteria, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I had never heard its name, did not know where it was located, and I obviously had no idea about the extremely complex and serious ongoing issue with their government system. Moldova is one of the poorest countries in all of Europe and has been tossed around between Russian and Romanian control since the 16th century. It only officially declared its sovereignty from its last owner, Russia, in 1990, its independence in 1991, and became a part of the United Nations in 1992. Even though it finally gained its independence, Moldova just cannot win for losing. It seems no matter what political decisions they make, they are wrong and ultimately pissing off someone. The ... I chose to research this issue because the current corruption of the Moldovan government and its impact on its people, is going to play a major role in the future of Moldova as a country. How these events are influencing the opinions of the people will ultimately determine the structure of Moldova s government, and this is a big deal for this struggling country. I personally do not have an opinion yet about this issue as I am not adequately informed about the pros and cons of the two political parties in conflict, but I hope to be able to better understand the two sides of this issue and possibly develop my own opinion on the issue of Moldova s future government. Moldova s people are faced between the choices of Socialist Russia, who is impressing on them with economical threats, or continuing down the path towards the EU, which as their government appears to be bathed with corrupted politics and politicians, is proving to be more of an obstacle than once imagined. All of the learners in the classroom are very intelligent students; however, three students stand out to me on a daily basis for different reasons. Student A receives special education services for her reading and writing skills. She works with a para every day to work on her reading and handwriting skills. Student B is a gifted learner and participates in an advanced math program that the 4th and 5th grade classes receive, if they are academically eligible. Student C is an average student in the classroom, but struggles on a daily basis due to lack of motivation. He does not receive any services, but is redirected by the cooperating teacher and myself. An appropriate strategy to differentiate instruction for Student A is by allowing a para to come into the classroom and having the para work as the student s scribe. This has actually been tested with the student and the result was a success. Student A is able to verbalize what she wants her writing to include and the para writes these ideas down for her. With the Nebraska State Writing Assessment approaching this week, this method has been decided upon as the method that will help the student to be most successful during the reserved writing days. Student B goes beyond what is asked of her and the cooperating teacher is constantly looking for ways to challenge her so she can continue to learn in the classroom. ... The majority of the story takes place at night and during twilight. The cleaning lady, Mrs. Muldoon, says that she won t stay in the house during the dark hours of the night, suggesting that uncanny happenings occur during the night. Spencer Brydon always entered the house during twilight symbolizing that he is at a threshold crossing in which he will transform himself into his doppleganger. The night and twilight setting stimulate a dark and mysterious feeling towards the house. Finally, the last major detail that evokes the supernatural within the setting is the location of the house. The house is located on the west side of town, which is closer to his origin (United States of America). The house being on the west side symbolizes what he may have been if he had stayed in the United States of America. This suggests that his doppleganger of the person he would have been if he had stayed in the United States is actually present. Social Isolation, a state or process in which persons, groups, or cultures lose or do not have communication or cooperation with one another, often resulting in open conflict. In H.G Wells 1897 novel The Invisible Man, the main character, Griffin, is socially isolated due to a condition that has forced him to stay out of the scrutinizing eye of society .As the novel progresses, the effects of social isolation begin to take form in Griffin s actions and become more pertinent with each event that occurs. These actions show the effects of social isolation throughout the course of the novel. The beginning of Griffin s social isolation begins early in his life. Griffin is albino, meaning that he has little to no pigmentation in his skin, eyes, and hair. This condition makes it exceptionally challenging for Griffin to be a cohesive member of society, so in order to avoid the eminent rejection that he believes awaits him if he tries to join society, he chooses to become an introvert. The poetry of Dylan Thomas reached such great success due to his colorful history, his ability to involve his history in his poems, and the complex emotion his poems were able to convey despite disapproval. Why Democratic States Do Not Fight Each Other Why democratic states do not fight each other The German philosopher Immanuel Kant outlined an original relevant idea in his essay Perpetual Peace (1795). Kant s theory is based on a world with countries sharing a common a constitutional republic as political regime, where people would appeal for a continuous or perpetual peace as an ideal for living. The principle of Kant s idea is that people will not decide to go on war unless to defend themselves and because of this there would be no aggressor nations and the war occurrences would end. For Kant, the reluctance of the people to support war and its related costs restrains democratic leaders from engaging conflicts with other nations. Although I was not a leader in the classroom, I did serve as leader in my tri pie and I took initiative to talk to Mrs. McMillan about my speech and group. I believe I deserve a 90/100 in my communication and participation skills. With my tri pie, I would remind them everyday for homework, projects, and exams. I would explain any questions they would have and provide extra info and study guides for them. For example, I would insist that they do the quizlet I created for Freshmen and Sophomore vocabulary everyday for at least 15 minutes a day. I also used videochat to help both of my members for presentation and speeches. We would practice for at least 30 minutes for any presentation, such as the Side Project. As a result, we got a 38/45. We took advantage of break by practicing our part during that time. This helped us improve our abilities and skills on presentation because I would give my perspective on our group s strengths and weaknesses. From this communication, I decided to create a group chat called Carrot Juice to discuss our problems and how we could solve them by working together. One of the problems we had was our grade checks, so we used our group chat to message each other when to meet up, such as at break. By doing this, we were familiar with each other and our communication began to grow because we began using this social platform more often. When one of our PIE members was absent, we would use this group chat to collect and turn in their homework even though they were not there. Furthermore, I communicated with Mrs. McMillan about my speech and how I could improve on it. I took her notes into consideration about my posture and engagement with the audience. This video made me wonder how humans will proceed in the future with the issue of climate change. Will we come to our senses and mitigate the damage caused by our wrongdoings to our only home? Or will we continue to display the human race as a contradictory race, one that is conceited and yet will be its own downfall? He probably wanted to remind us of our small, unimportant world and how it s our duty to protect and sustain life on it since it is the only life we know. We are encouraged to humble ourselves because we are not the center of the universe, and there s no one out there to pity or remember the parasitic human race. At the moment our future seems ... The various types of plants have micro evolved to survive in the heat, along with other environmental deficits. The physical and behavioral adaptions have allowed these plant species to flourish. It s important to understand the plants adaptations to the climate and environment, as well as the medical uses and dangers of these plants. The various vegetation within the desert biome have overcome the dry climate and minuscule levels of water. The desert biome is an area that receives less than 10in of rain a year (Fig.1).
