Asthma Respiratory Disease
Asthma is a respiratory disease that inflames and narrows the airways making it difficult for one to
breathe. (National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, 2013). Symptoms of asthma are wheezing, chest
tightness, shortness of breath and coughing. The airways narrow due to the inflammation and it makes
it difficult for the flow of oxygen to pass through the respiratory system. Patent airway flow is a very
crucial part to maintaining adequate blood flow through put the body and is vital for life. Thus, asthma
is a severe disease because it has no cure. Some symptoms of asthma are preventable and although it
is up to the individual to take control of the issue some environmental factors may inhibit this process.
The two main causes of asthma are

Wireless Network
Introduction Wireless network is indicated to a telecommunication network whose interconnections
between nodes are implemented without the use of wires, such a computer network. Nowadays,
wireless network has become the important thing in telecommunication. This sort of technology has
been used for over a century and remains synonymous with radio. In 19th century, Guglielmo Marconi
invented a radio and made his made his mark in the world of wireless technology. At that moment,
Marconi was about to produce detect radio waves from long distance. In 1896, the Wireless Telegraph
and Signal Company Limited was established and became the first radio actor in the world. The first
wireless signal was sent using Morse Code. Signals were received ... Show more content on

802.11a distribute a range of approximately 33 meters or about 100 feet. This standard uses much
frequency and high frequencies have their limitations. It does not break through the walls as good as
lower frequencies and they require need more energy to power the devices. The clarity of signal is
normally good and less interference than the other 802.11 standards. The cost for 802.11a is more
expensive than both 802.11b and 802.11g. However, it is very worth because it provides the great
speed. 802.11a is not compatible with other types of standard. The users have to have the Wi Fi card to
receive the 802.11a signals.
2. 802.11b
802.11b is the type of standard that is less expensive, faster, and easier to use than the other kind of
standard. This technology includes a wireless router that is able to send radio signals over the air to
other computers or electronic devices. Generally, Wi Fi router is connected to computer server or
broadband internet connection. 802.11b can distribute speeds up to 11 mega bytes per second. This
standard delivers a signal for about 50 meters (150 feet). The range depends on the area and condition
whether you are in an apartment building, having your router on another floor than your computer or
being in open area. 802.11b has the good signal because it has the lower frequencies, so it will be able
to move through the walls and other obstacle. The cost expended for this technology is affordable.

Deforestation And Its Effects On Deforestation
Rainforests are found typically in tropical areas with a constant heavy rainfall in its biodiversity. When
areas of rainforests are destroyed, it s not just the trees that disappear. It s time for the government to
take action on deforestation. Rainforests are an important location for indigenous people and animals
because that s where their home belongs. Yet the government and organizations ignore those facts and
just demolish their homes in order to gain a new location for productions. It s a topic that s constantly
debated in politics and society should take a recognition on what s happening in deforestation. More
than half of the world s rainforests are destroyed and is in danger by humans, therefore, the
government shouldn t allow deforestation anymore in order to save the remaining rainforests in the
environment because it affects habitats, species, and indigenous people. Loss of habitats is an evident
threat in the rainforest as the facilities continue to form new funds to buildings and resources. In
deforestation, people can profit and revenue on the resources to inhibit for society to use. They profit
on the resources they sell to other countries after they obtain the sources they received from the
rainforests. Rather than the facilities looking at a profit for their own benefits, the destruction of the
land will cause the species to never return back nor will it provide shelter for them in their adapting
habitat. Even if deforestation is to distribute goods

The Cormcible And The 1692 Salem Witch Trials And The...
It has been said many times that history repeats itself but we often don t get an example of how this is.
One such example is the crucible about the 1692 Salem witch trials relates to the 1950 s red scare.
These two brutal times in history really may not look obviously related to each other but deeper into
the story it becomes more apparent that they are fundamentally the same. The similarity s become
more apparent when you look at The Crucible than we will change perspective and look at the red
scare a little more in depth and polish it all off by seeing why Arthur Miller wrote the crucible and
how they related to each other. The Crucible was a book that took place in Salem Organ in the year of
1692. The platform for the story revolves ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During this time people could accuse anybody communists and with the growing fear of communism
people were in the court and to refuse meant you were lying and admit meant you were telling the
truth and where guilty which can lead to the death penalty. How do these to interrelate? Well during
the red scare people with strong wills and who were political advocates for racial equality and support
of the labor unions were the ones that the leader of the HUAC was that kind of person. Arthur Miller
was exactly that kind of person and he feared that with the stronger protest he would be under the hot
gaze of the HUAC. He found his solution after reading Charles W. Upham s 1867 two volume study
of the 1692 Salem witch trials. Now that he saw the relation he wrote his play and described the
relation between the two. He tried his best to defused the tension and reduce the power of the HUAC
to convict people without evidence or reason. Even with the fact that there were counter arguments
like during the Salem witch trials, there were no witches but, people still started seeing the error of the
HUAC. In his works, he got under that hot eye of the HUAC and became one of those people that he
so earnestly worked to right and to avoid from having it happen again. There is no doubt that history
repeats itself and even though it isn t direct if we look a little deeper we can see the similarities. No
matter how hard we hide history will discreetly fined a way to

It s Portion Distortion That Makes America Fat
Ask any person on the street what is the one issue that consumes more than half of the nation and the
answers will vary from cancer to the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. Most Americans are
blind to the modern day plague that consumes even the nation s youth. What is this black death that
promises health complications in the future, obesity affects more than two thirds of American adults
and one third of American children. The term obesity is defined as the condition of being grossly fat or
overweight. The American diet of processed foods is the root of the problem. The nation s health
conditions have declined since the 1970 s and reached an all time low in the early 2000 s. The solution
lies within the 18 27 year olds of the country ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In It s Portion Distortion That Makes America Fat, Shannon Brownlee addresses the difference from
when fast food was introduced to now. Before burger, small fries, and a 12oz drink was considered a
filling meal and was considered treat because it was not something that happened often. Now it s
know as a kids meal. The medium, large, and super size sizes were attempts from the fast food
corporations to maximise on small minded Americans willing to believe anything that is said by
advertisements. A nation of the gullible believing that bigger is better. The extreme intake of saturated
fat, sodium, and high fructose corn syrup is leading even the health people of America down the rabbit
hole full of health complications, that promise to shed years that could have been full of joyful
memories for family and friends off one s life. Obesity is not just about being overweight and eating
unhealthy. Obesity is accompanied by diseases like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and
some cancer. Obesity can cut someones life expectancy by ten years. Even the nation s youth are not
safe. Zinczenko also explains the gravity of rise in childhood obesity Before 1994, Diabetes in
children was generally caused by a genetic disorder only 5 percent of childhood cases were obesity
related, or Type 2, diabetes. Today, according to the National institute of Health, Type 2 diabetes
accounts for at least 30 percent of all new childhood cases of diabetes in this country. The customary
American diet is finally taking it s toll on the

Is Bromden Dehumanize In One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest
In Kesey s novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest, the narrator, Bromden, has a very vivid and
disturbing dream of the hospital as a slaughterhouse where the staff hang old Blastic on a meat hook
and cut him open. A bit of the horrifying dream is shown when Bromden describes, The worker takes
the scalpel and slices up the front of old Blastic with a clean swing and the old man stops thrashing
around. I expect to be sick, but there s no blood...just a shower of rush and ashes... (Kesey 88).
Symbolism of machinery is shown throughout the gruesome dream and specifically ash and rust pours
out of old Blastic. The symbolism shown is the hospital as place that dehumanizes the patients and
turns them into mechanical patients, taking away their uniqueness ... Show more content on

In Kesey s novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoos s Nest, McMurphy is the protagonist. Kesey throughout
the book has depicted McMurphy of trying to pull the patients out of the fog. Bromden s perception of
McMurphy s attempts to drag them out of the fog is showed when he states, There s no sense in it, any
fool can see; I wouldn t do it on my own (Kesey 142). This takes place when McMurphy is trying to
get the chronics to vote for the time of watching TV to be changed. Although this is before Bromden
realizes he voted because of his own free will, Bromden sees McMurphy s attempts to pull them out of
the fog as troubling, as it will increase tensions between the patients and Big Nurse. McMurphy
perceives his attempts to pull the other patients out of the fog as vital, this is show when he is trying to
get the chronics to vote for the time change to watch TV and he says, One of you guys for cryin out
loud! This is where you get the edge, don t you see that? We have to do this... (Kesey 142). As the
only one in the hospital that is different and still actually laughs, Mc Murphy still has his individuality
and sees the control that the Big Nurse is keeping over the patients. In recognizing this and the
dehumanization that the other patients have gone through, McMurphy constantly tries to pull the
patients out of the fog, seeing that Big Nurse will have no power if they all retaliate against her. At the
end of part one, McMurphy is shown with success of pulling the

The Effect Of Magic In Doctor Faustus And The Tempest
Christopher Marlowe s Doctor Faustus and William Shakespeare s The Tempest both examine the
effect of magic on one s morality. The protagonists of the plays, Faustus and Prospero respectively,
seek the power of knowledge and find it in magic, which is a superhuman source of power. Despite
the losses Faustus and Prospero suffer, they think magic is right on the grounds that it gets them what
they want. Magic is a means of achieving one s ends without effort and transcending the limitations of
the human condition (Paris 264). But when Faustus and Prospero renounce magic at the end of events,
they abjure the means that gave them power and knowledge. This is a change from their attitude
towards magic in the opening of Doctor Faustus and The Tempest, and it indicates a moral journey for
both characters. When they ultimately ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

LAWRENCE KOHLBERG S LEVELS OF MORALITY
Abstract
This purpose of this is to describe Kohlberg s theory of morality in detail; I will describe each level
that pertains to this theory and how they have affected me personally. Lawrence Kohlberg theory of
moral development is divided into three different levels; the first level is the preconventional level
followed by the conventional level, and then the postconventonal level. Within each of these levels,
each level contains two different stages, resulting in six stages in all. Kohlberg s was influenced by
Jean Piaget s theory, his theory focused on cognitive development, but he was motivated Piaget s
theory that described how a child develops moral understanding. It encouraged Kohlberg to research
deeper and develop his theory of moral development more in depth. For Kohlberg s research, he
decided to use the interviewing technique using moral dilemmas. Kohlberg used several different
techniques for his research strategies, but he had one famous dilemma, known as the Heinz dilemma ,
also defined as, pits the value of obeying the law (not stealing) against the value of human life (saving
a dying person) (Berk, 2014 pg. 323).

Essay about Democratic Republic of Congo Holocaust
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Holocaust was the bloodiest war fought. This was due to
the death toll, possibly larger than that of the Holocaust. Between 1998 and 2007, there were a total of
5.4 million people dead. The number of those deaths has definitely gone up over the years (Heaton 1).
Genocide is very vital because of the people being slaughtered and giving their lives away in order to
support their political stance. Everyone, whether it is through war or poverty, suffers from this
immense tragedy. I was interested in the topic due to the little bit of research I did. Through the
research, I found out it was still going on today. I was taken aback by the fact this has been going on
for so long and there is so little effort ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The deaths in this war are terrifyingly close to those in the Holocaust (Heaton 1). The massive death
toll would include that of the Rwanda Holocaust and the Congo Holocaust. These deaths include
murder, suicides, starvation, poverty, and disease. The political aspect of this situation is the
government killing off rebels and targeting specific groups such as Hutu s, Tutsi s, and the DRC. They
target people to rile up a dispute, start the war, and gain allies (World without Genocide 2). Many
people are dying whether due to poverty, indirectly, or political stance, directly. The people suffering
from the poverty aspect are getting the effects of the mass murders and the country s political
instability. Genocide describes the heinous act of killing others in order to prove the point. In this case,
Rwanda s government is targeting specific people. The Congo War, a massive destruction to their
country, is genocide. One reason it is, in fact, genocide is due to the amount of murders occurring. But
so far the brutal war in eastern Congo has not only lasted longer than the Holocaust but also appears to
have claimed more lives [than the Holocaust], (Kristof 1). This shows that although unpopular and
unknown to most, the Congo War devastates further than what it seems like at first. The everyday
struggle people go through to stay alive is relative, bloodier, and more

The Difference Between Egenarianism And Egalitarianism
Due to this topic s controversy in the evangelical church, I am very grateful to learn about these two
different views. The variation of the views even within the egalitarian and complementarian
perspectives was interesting. It reminded me that in ourselves alone unity cannot be found. Only in
Christ can we obtain unity displaying a countercultural attribute that reflects His light and hope for
this world. I am praying for our Great God s faithful help in this.
Egalitarian Perspective In learning about the egalitarian perspective from Linda L. Belleville and
Craig S. Keener, the bottom line difference between egalitarians and complementarians seems to be
the extent of which women can lead men. The egalitarian believes scripture supports mutual ministry
opportunity for both genders. Belleville states Egalitarian is to believe in the mutual gifting of women
and men . (35) Keener s four options of viewing women in ministry is also very helpful. The fourth
option is The Bible permits women s ministry under normal circumstances but prohibits it in
exceptional cases, in which case we should allow it under most circumstances today (Gundry, Beck
206). The egalitarian view is not about who has authority over a congregation, but by grace is given to
believers through Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit, empowerment is given both genders to
minister to the congregation and equip the saints for ministry. Authority is given to Jesus Christ. The
command scripture gives to

Well, for this interview doing this was nothing new to me mainly because I was recently in another
Women Studies class and we always had to do something or this sort and hear people s different
perspectives about certain issues. But the people I decided to interview were women who I knew were
college educated and worked in three different type of career fields. Furthermore I decided to
interview all women and in particularly I interviewed a women who worked for the government, a
woman in the medical field, and finally a college professor. The reason I picked these particular ladies

and women are starting to dominate fields that were originally for men especially in the hospital. Well
from this interview the answers didn t surprise me as well because this person is my sister and I am
starting to get the impression after a while people seem to forget about the aspects of feminism and
what actually is going on. But moving on to the last interview with a Professor at BG. The reason I

Kia Motors Case Study
There are three ways we can evaluate a company s performance. Financial, operational and overall
effectiveness (Ramsey, J. R., Bahia, B. R., 2013). By looking at financial indicators such as sales
growth, growth of foreign sales and return of investment one can assess if these fulfill the economic
goals that the company have. When using the operational dimension, we look at non financial
elements that may influences the company s performance. This includes market share, new products
introduction, product quality etc. The last of the three, overall effectiveness, evaluates achievement of
goals, perceived overall performance, perceived performance in relations to its competitors etc (Hult,
Ketchen, Griffith, Chabowski, Hamman, Dykes, Pollitte, Cavusgil, 2008). Kia motors is a south

The Characterization Of Ralph In Lord Of The Flies By...
Have you ever thought about what you would do if you had the opportunity to be head manager or
chief of whatever it is you love to do? Are you positive that you have the experience to overcome the
responsibility or even the consequences? In Lord of the Flies, William Golding, uses the
characterization of Ralph to represent the overall leadership needed in order for the infants to survive
throughout the journey. It all embarks when a plane carrying a group of boys is shot down over the
Pacific and the pilot of the plane is killed. Fortunately, many of the boys survive the crash and find
themselves deserted on an uninhabited island, where later on they discover that they are alone without
adult supervision. This instantly leads to chaotic trepidation, which means an alliance would be likely
mandatory. Leadership is a key factor utilized in the story and basically without this hook, the rest of
the minors would be nearly prone to their surroundings. This would lead to a huge conflict right off
the back and affect their chances of getting off the island. Ralph expresses his confidence immediately
by feeling like he has the courage of being the leader. In the beginning, he automatically considers
himself as an option for the others to elect. In the story, William states, Jack started to protest but the
clamor changed from the general wish for a chief to an election by acclaim of Ralph himself. (15)

Mental disorders are dreadful things that can attack without warning. While some are aware of the
disorders that affect them, others are not, and they can therefore be affected by their disorders to the
point of no return. Sociopathy and psychopathy, which can stem from either environmental factors or
brain abnormalities, are examples of this. While there are misconceptions about the true identities of
these disorders and the differences between them, this paper will attempt to inform the readers of their

American population today, it is only necessary to inform oneself on the varying topics being

There was a new source of fortune found in the Congo during the 1890s, rubber! An international
rubber race was kicked off by the creation of the inflatable bicycle tire and kept going by the rise of
the automobile using rubber in gaskets and industrial belts, as well as in shielding for telegraph and

take years to reach maturity, and during the meantime, there was money in the rubber trees that were

the Central African rainforest. No nation had more of that land than King Leopold. His private army

This would force all the men to go into the rainforest and gather quota of wild rubber per month. As
the price of rubber got higher, the quotas increased. As vines near their village were drained, men
would desperately walk days or weeks into the forest to find new vines to tap in

Malcolm X, A Civil Right Activist And Powerful Black Leader
In the influential and provoking essay Learning to Read (1965), Malcolm X, a civil right activist and
powerful black leader, narrates his story on how books transformed his life forever into the realm of
human rights. Incorporating sequential narrative and social analysis, he explains his methodology in
attaining literacy and how this process influences him to espouse black separatism and resent white
people, while providing historical fact and jarring criticism in his arguments. Using first person
narrative, Malcom advances through the story by pointing each progression in detail, while using
provocative diction in order to evoke emotional response without forsaking essential argumentation in
his writing. Malcolm conveys his writing to an ostensibly general audience, although he purposely
focuses more on white people in order to unleash his anger and criticism.
Malcolm begins his auto biography in his frustration of not being able to express his thought and even
calls himself [dysfunctional] (Malcolm 2) to demonstrate his initial helpless condition. To make it
worse, as if to appeal to the reader s pathos, he was situated inside a prison. In his helplessness, he
reveals his innocent motivation of how he starts to attain literacy; by mere jealousy to another people.
He describes his own effort in an exciting tone, exhausting every inch of the dictionary by copying it.

It is a pretty safe bet to say that everyone knows what adoption is; it is also pretty safe to say that
everyone knows, or at least knows of, someone who is adopted. However, I would definitely think
twice before that people would know what was involved in the process of adoption. From the time I
was a young girl, I have always thought that I would adopt a child, since being an adopted from South
Korea. My mother had always told me about the long process it took for me to be adopted. She had
always mentioned that adopting a child was for the best, especially from a different country because it
would benefit children who are living ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even if you receive some type of assistance, you are still eligible to adopt as long as you have an
adequate resources to provide for your family (Adoption). The other requirements are to be expected:
interviews, personal history, background check, and references. The majority of the children awaiting
adoption are not simply sitting in institutions with little human contact and no sense of family. Most
children waiting to be adopted are in foster care. Foster care provides temporary placement in a family
setting. Over 500,000 children in the U.S. currently reside in some form of foster care (Foster). This is
not to say that there are over 500,000 children waiting for adoptive parents. Actually, the number
needing to be adopted ends up being much lower. Two out of three children who enter foster care are
reunited with their birth parents within two years. A significant number, however, can spend long
periods of time in care awaiting adoption or other permanent arrangement (Foster).
Making decisions about the future for a child in foster care can be difficult and controversial. Options
include: returning the child to his/her birth parents; termination of parental rights (a formal legal
procedure) to be followed, hopefully, by adoption; or long term care with foster parents or relatives.
Most states encourage efforts to provide the birth parents with support and needed services (e.g.

Comparative Essay On The Tempest
The Tempest is a play written by William Shakespeare around 1610 toward the end of his career as a
poet and playwright. The Tempest fits in the genre of tragicomedy. The genre blends aspects of
tragedy and romance together which are depicted in a humorous way. The Tempest is set on an island
where its location is unspecified. The play finds Prospero and Miranda, ousted former Duke of Milan
and his daughter, living in exile on an island with Caliban, its lone native inhabitant. Change affects
the characters throughout the play when a crew caught in a storm shipwrecks and washes onto the
island. This seemingly natural event allows for many characters to gradually reveal their true motives
as the play progresses. The worldwide acclaim of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ariel finds his duties meaningful since they will eventually lead to his freedom. A Tempest depicts
Ariel differently, since it presents him as a mulatto slave rather than a spirit. An addition from the
adaptation shows an encounter between Ariel and Caliban, a black slave, which adds a new
relationship in how they view Prospero. Ariel tries to convince Caliban that Prospero is the one we ve
got to change, to which he replies, Prospero is a scoundrel who has no conscience. This conversation
highlights the complete difference in their attitudes while serving under Prospero. Ariel has a positive
outlook on this path, unlike Caliban who views his role as a slave as a hindrance to his freedom.
Retamar points out that Ariel is tied to Prospero in less burdensome and crude a way than Caliban, but
also in his service. Their status as slaves establishes a common ground and allows each of them to
understand the other in a better way. They are both related as equals, despite Prospero entrusting the
conjuring of magic to Ariel who receives the better treatment. This common ground is emphasized
further when Ariel refers to Caliban as a brother throughout their meeting. Calling Caliban by this
term allows Ariel to express sympathy for him and offer unification. Although utilizing different
methods, both share the same goal of achieving everlasting freedom. In the adaptation, the portrayal of
being a mulatto represents the state of being conflicted

Symbols In Night Elie Wiesel
What is pain? What is loss? What is abandonment? It is something that modern most modern humans
don t need or want understand. Elie Wiesel is a 13 year old boy that had to go through the harsh truth
of World War II. He is separated from his family, beaten when he is not obedient, and had to go
through the loss of his father. Humans always feel the need to give up. The definition of lack of
humanity is not humane (kindness of being human). Symbols are used to prove that lack of humanity
can drive people to lose their identity and pride. In night by Elie Wiesel, Elie uses symbols to prove
lack of humanity drives people to lose their identity or things that were important to them when the

For example, Meir, my little Meir! Don t you recognize me . . . You re killing your own father . . . I
have bread . . . for you too . . . for you too . . . (Wiesel 101). This piece of evidence can show lack of
humanity because son is killing the father for the piece of bread, therefore valuing his survival over
that of his own father. The piece of bread is the symbol used in this evidence because it is what the son
was murdering his own father for. Furthermore, Elie dislikes the lack of humanity when soldiers throw
bread crumbs into the wagon to cause a stampede Dozens of starving men fought desperately over a
few crumbs. The worker watched the spectacle with great interest (Wiesel 100). This shows lack of
humanity because the soldiers throw food into the wagon as if they would feed pigs which could also
categorize as loss of identity. They are all alike there is no difference between the men in the wagon.
The symbol of bread represent lack of humanity because the bread pieces can be a tool for the soldiers
to play around with. Therefore, these evidences prove that people want to save their own life than

The Decline Of Jazz Music
Over the past several decades, there has been a great decline in the popularity of jazz music. The
Decline of Jazz has fueled a debate as to whether or not the genre is dead. Many music scholars and
fans argue that jazz s popularity is declining because the people who appreciate the music are aging
and newer generations do not share their love of the music. For as long as I can remember, my parents
have played jazz music in our home, while cooking meals together, or entertaining guests, or reading
on a Sunday morning. My familiarity with the music from a young age is what caused me to start
singing songs from artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone. Jazz served as the foundation for my
love and appreciation of music, both old and new, which is why I believe there is a place for jazz in
the future. Over the past century, jazz music has evolved immensely so much so that some people
mistake the genre s evolution for complete disappearance. But jazz is not dead. Instead, it has been
woven together with other genres, such as rock and pop, and embraced new sounds and techniques
that make it difficult for people to recognize as jazz.
The musicians who have expressed a deep love and passion for the music are the ones who have kept
jazz alive. When jazz was first being played, the fame or the money that accompanied the music s
rising popularity did not motivate musicians. They played purely out of love for the music and the
message it communicated to audiences. In the jazz

A Report On Agriculture And Horticulture Class
Introduction
On the 15/03/16 our year 12 agriculture and horticulture class went on a trip to a local dairy goat farm.
This is a 40 hectare farm on sandy loam soil which houses 1100 goats, all goats are kept in door and
all food is made on site and bought to them along with their water. Only about 700 goats are being
milked. These goats are milked on a rotary milk parlour, which is one of two in the country. There
were 3 full time staff working and the manager. We asked the manager many questions to assist us
with our internal. The answers were occasionally a bit brief due to the owner only taking over the farm
about a month ago, but we received the necessary information. A guided tour took place with the
owner and a full time employee. Which included us looking at the housing systems, feeding systems,
the composting procedure, Milking shed and other relevant information such as the restrictions they
have.
Soil Impacts
Having good soil structure is very important for all types of farming. To constantly provide quality
feed soil with a good tilth and with plenty of nutrients is required. This is achieved by collecting urine
and dung from the milk shed and is collected in ponds. The liquid is drained away and are processed
through 3 screens then drained into a holding tank ready to be spread on the farm. While this process
is taking place the original solids are scraped away and placed into a bay with a weeping wall to drain
the excess water. Once most water has been drained

Moblie Phone Technology and The Social Impact Thereof Essay
INTRODUCTION Mobile phone technology is a technology that a vast majority of us would be

Japan. 3G offers a wider range of services, such as Broadband internet and high tech video calls
(Literral, n.d. para. 7 8). SOCIAL IMPACTS While the telecommunications industry has been
revolutionised by the mobile phone, several social issues have arisen from its usage. Areas of concern
include social impacts on young people, problems with road safety, social etiquette issues and impacts
in educational settings. The introduction of the mobile phone has begun to cause changes in the
behaviour of young people as the technology becomes more and more central to their everyday life.
Mobile phone technology allows for the quick arranging or rearranging of social functions (Geser,
2004, as cited in Campbell, 2005, p. 4). This can then allow a more fluid culture of information social
interaction (Geser, 2004, as quoted in Campbell, 2005, p. 4). Also, mobile phones allow closer contact
to peers; although, this is not necessarily a good thing. As this can lead to parents having no
knowledge of whom their children are contacting regularly (Davie, Panting, Charlton, 2004, as cited
in Campbell, 2005, p. 6).

Revolt In Atlanta
After reading The Politics of Race and Public Space: Desegregation, privatization, and the Tax Revolt
in Atlanta by Kevin M. Kruse. I noticed many similarities in deindustrialization, metropolitan
fragmentation, and the rights revolution between the piece and what we have discussed in class. Kruse
states that when the desegregation of municipal spaces began to occur, everyone in Atlanta had the
freedom to live in the best place that they could afford. There was metropolitan fragmentation, which
is the segregating of a community into smaller municipal areas. White upper class Atlantans fled to
more private areas such as suburbs while poor and mostly black people were left with the city,
effectively redlining the community.
When the wealthy white population left for the suburbs, they wanted to bring their money with them.
They didn t want to pay taxes for the inner city poor black society that they payed to get away from.
Therefore, there was a tax revolt where white people rebelled paying for the city taxes and services
where they no longer lived or benefit from services. This fragmentation led to some resegregation as
wealthy white people cohered in suburbs. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Artist Public Appearance Agreement Essay

paper, I will be explaining the process leading up to retaining the artist for the performance or

the contract with the artist or artist s manager.
First, we need to start from where agreement comes into place. As a concert producer, you need to
think about selecting a artist or artists for the performance. Also the date in which you wish to have
the artist make the appearance. You will need to pick a date that will give you enough time to work out

Percentage fees ( fees plus percentage of net income) can be a bit more multifaceted. While flat fees
are relatively simple while a set figure will be the amount paid to the artist to matter what. Many artist
with their own contract will include such things as hospitality, a technical rider, fees, payments, the
way the payments should be made, and the policy regarding cancellations or any type of rain dates.
Frequently, the contract determination will be dependent on the budget and its approval. This is where
all percentage sums of net income come into play with the indenture. The advantage of having a
contract would be to avoid any form of arguments, legal issues and so on that may arise. Working out
all the details of the agreement can be helpful. This way you will be able to spot light any problem
issues that may come up. By doing this you will be able to fix any problems before they occur,
possibly ruining your event. Also any modification to a contract should be reviewed n signed by both
parties to ensure smoothness. Different states can also have many different laws pertaining to
performance agreements, and you must abide by all these regulations or you run the risk of being shut
down. California law stipulates that if the terms of a contract last for more than one year, the contract
must be in writing. A performance agreement– an agreement between a performer

Critique Of The Maternal Repositioning During The Labor...
Introduction The research article that was chosen for critique was regarding the maternal repositioning
during the labor process and does this impact the progression of the birthing process. Upon reviewing
this article, it was obvious that the findings were in favor of maternal position changes during labor,
and that it did indeed have a positive impact on the progression of the labor process. The findings of a
positive impact on labor were indicated by maternal and fetal monitoring, maternal opinion of the
labor process, and the length of stages of labor. Below is an analysis of the article that was chosen to
critique.
Statement of the Problem As healthcare professionals it is our responsibility provide the best evidence
based care, that produce desirable outcomes for the patient. During the labor and delivery process
many critical issue can arise for many reasons. One critical issue is the length of labor for the mother
and fetus. A long labor process can result in maternal exhaustion, intolerance of labor for the fetus,
and failure to descend. All of these reasons can result in a cesarean section. Maternal repositioning
during labor helps achieve the safest desirable patient outcome.

The Positive And Negative Aspects Of Hospitalization
Healthcare is an issue that affects people all around the world. Many countries have adopted different
perspectives on how to solve this problem. Two of the main solutions to the healthcare problem are a
free market healthcare system or a national healthcare system. Both of these positions have positive
and negative attributes that come into play when they are compared with one another. These systems
create an environment where the majority of people receive healthcare but in different ways.
Healthcare is something that allows people to use hospitals and other facilities at a reduced cost. This
enables people to get check ups and immunizations without paying for the full cost of the visit. In the
case where hospitalization occurs healthcare covers a large portion of the costs to stay in the hospital
and the procedures that you may undergo while you are in the hospital. Healthcare becomes very
important to individuals all around the world with the price of hospitals and other facilities rising. This
rise in prices is making it hard for people to get the appropriate care they need without having
insurance companies pay for part of the expenses. A national healthcare system, also called universal
healthcare, is one where every citizen is provided with some healthcare coverage whether it be from
the government or private industries. Some, but not all, of national healthcare systems are single payer
healthcare systems. A single payer healthcare system is where one agency,

The Mining Of Marcellus Shale Industry
The Marcellus Shale Industry in Pennsylvania Despite it s long history of coal, oil, and gas
development, Pennsylvania has seemingly been overcome by the rapidity and scale of production
demonstrated with the recent boom of Marcellus Shale industry, which has companies, workers,
environmentalists, etc. flocking to its northern tier. However, controversy seems to have followed as
the economic criticism of the drilling industry is that it booms and then busts, generating few local
jobs and leaving little lasting economic benefit (Schwartz). Thus making it critically important not
only the economic impact, but also those of social, institutional and environmental now and in the
years to come ( Marcellus Shale ).
Marcellus Shale is geologically defined as a sedimentary rock that is located at least a mile below the
surface and developed approximately 380 million years ago, during Devonian times, in a region
referred to as the Appalachian Basin, which explains its prominence in the northeastern region of the
United States ( What ). But, more importantly, Marcellus is a specific example of natural gas that
contains a substantial concentration of methane, trapped in low permeability shale, which requires the
hydraulic fracturing or fracking ( Marcellus Formation ). The natural gas occurs within the Marcellus
Shale in several ways, including: the pore spaces of the shale, the vertical fractures that break through
the shale, and adsorbed on mineral grains and organic

Causes And Treatment Of Lymphatic Massage
Lymphatic massage was introduced in the 1930s by Danish physiotherapists Dr. Emil Vodder and his
wife (Benjamin, 2010). His wife Astrid Vodder practiced naturopath. Emil Vodder studied at the
University of Copenhagen for biology, botany, and mineralogy, later began showing interest in the
physical medicine along with the lymphatic system. Vodder knew many scientists who had studied the
mysterious clear water centuries ago, scientist such as Gaspare Aselli (1581 1626) who discovered the
lacteal vessels in the lymphatic system, Jean Pecquet (1622 1674) described the cisterna chyli and the
thoracic duct leading to the venous arch (Wittlinger, 2004). Olaus Rudbeck discovered the lymph
vessels of the colon and rectum and confirmed that these vessels lead to the cisterna chyli as Aselli
had described already. Rudbeck was the first who discovered that the lymph from the tissue runs into
lymph vessels and to the thoracic duct back to the blood circulation. In the 18th century it was
discovered that the whole body contained lymph vessels and that the task of the lymph vessel system
is to absorb tissue liquid. Vodder and his wife moved to Paris, France in 1933 to practice the modality
on his patients (Wittlinger, 2004). The concept of lymph drainage by massage therapy is similar to
opening a valve of a tube filled with water and allowing the water to flow into another tube to release
pressure and alleviate build up in the lymph nodes. The carefully circling pumping movements

Satire In Langston Hughes Green Memory
The poem Green Memory by Langston Hughes ridicules World War II. This poem was written in 1951
with the point of view of an African American during the war era. The poet uses many literary
techniques, but the main one is satire, which suits the purpose of this poem well because it shows how
the war causes many problems in an ironic way. Langston Hughes uses satire to ridicule the war, and
he uses irony and a serious tone to support his satire and to show what was happening with humanity
during the war era.
The poem has a more serious tone which shows how serious this matter is and is shown with the use
of irony. Satire is used to ridicule something and sometimes has humour in it, but can be sarcastic at
times, which is where irony and the serious tone come in. Langston Hughes uses sarcasm and it seems
like he is mocking the war. A wonderful time the War. (1). He starts off the poem by saying that the
war is wonderful, but as the poem goes on, it becomes more sarcastic. It mentions how blood is far
away and money is near, which is the opposite of what you would expect during war and it shows that
he is mocking the war. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

When areas of rainforests are destroyed, it s not just the trees that disappear. It s time for the government to take action on deforestation. Rainforests are an important location for indigenous people and animals because that s where their home belongs. Yet the government and organizations ignore those facts and just demolish their homes in order to gain a new location for productions. It s a topic that s constantly debated in politics and society should take a recognition on what s happening in deforestation. More than half of the world s rainforests are destroyed and is in danger by humans, therefore, the government shouldn t allow deforestation anymore in order to save the remaining rainforests in the environment because it affects habitats, species, and indigenous people. Upham s 1867 two volume study of the 1692 Salem witch trials. Now that he saw the relation he wrote his play and described the relation between the two. He tried his best to defused the tension and reduce the power of the HUAC to convict people without evidence or reason. Even with the fact that there were counter arguments like during the Salem witch trials, there were no witches but, people still started seeing the error of the HUAC. In his works, he got under that hot eye of the HUAC and became one of those people that he so earnestly worked to right and to avoid from having it happen again. There is no doubt that history repeats itself and even though it isn t direct if we look a little deeper we can see the similarities. Before burger, small fries, and a 12oz drink was considered a filling meal and was considered treat because it was not something that happened often. Now it s know as a kids meal. The medium, large, and super size sizes were attempts from the fast food corporations to maximise on small minded Americans willing to believe anything that is said by advertisements. A nation of the gullible believing that bigger is better. The extreme intake of saturated fat, sodium, and high fructose corn syrup is leading even the health people of America down the rabbit hole full of health complications, that promise to shed years that could have been full of joyful memories for family and friends off one s life. A bit of the horrifying dream is shown when Bromden describes, The worker takes the scalpel and slices up the front of old Blastic with a clean swing and the old man stops thrashing around. I expect to be sick, but there s no blood...just a shower of rush and ashes... (Kesey 88). In Kesey s novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoos s Nest, McMurphy is the protagonist. Kesey throughout the book has depicted McMurphy of trying to pull the patients out of the fog. Bromden s perception of McMurphy s attempts to drag them out of the fog is showed when he states, There s no sense in it, any fool can see; I wouldn t do it on my own (Kesey 142). This takes place when McMurphy is trying to get the chronics to vote for the time of watching TV to be changed. Although this is before Bromden realizes he voted because of his own free will, Bromden sees McMurphy s attempts to pull them out of the fog as troubling, as it will increase tensions between the patients and Big Nurse. McMurphy perceives his attempts to pull the other patients out of the fog as vital, this is show when he is trying to get the chronics to vote for the time change to watch TV and he says, One of you guys for cryin out loud! This is where you get the edge, don t you see that? We have to do this... (Kesey 142). • 9. The Effect Of Magic In Doctor Faustus And The Tempest Christopher Marlowe s Doctor Faustus and William Shakespeare s The Tempest both examine the effect of magic on one s morality. The protagonists of the plays, Faustus and Prospero respectively, seek the power of knowledge and find it in magic, which is a superhuman source of power. Despite the losses Faustus and Prospero suffer, they think magic is right on the grounds that it gets them what they want. Magic is a means of achieving one s ends without effort and transcending the limitations of the human condition (Paris 264). But when Faustus and Prospero renounce magic at the end of events, they abjure the means that gave them power and knowledge. This is a change from their attitude towards magic in the opening of Doctor Faustus and The Tempest, and it indicates a moral journey for both characters. When they ultimately ... Lawrence Kohlberg s Levels Of Morality Running head: LAWRENCE KHOLBERG S LEVELS OF MORALITY Lawrence Kohlberg s Levels of Morality And How We Can Relate Ourselves to his Theory Sarah Blasco Tri County Technical College LAWRENCE KOHLBERG S LEVELS OF MORALITY Abstract This purpose of this is to describe Kohlberg s theory of morality in detail; I will describe each level that pertains to this theory and how they have affected me personally. Lawrence Kohlberg theory of moral development is divided into three different levels; the first level is the preconventional level followed by the conventional level, and then the postconventonal level. Within each of these levels, each level contains two different stages, resulting in six stages in all. Kohlberg s was influenced by Jean Piaget s theory, his theory focused on cognitive development, but he was motivated Piaget s theory that described how a child develops moral understanding. It encouraged Kohlberg to research deeper and develop his theory of moral development more in depth. For Kohlberg s research, he decided to use the interviewing technique using moral dilemmas. Kohlberg used several different techniques for his research strategies, but he had one famous dilemma, known as the Heinz dilemma , also defined as, pits the value of obeying the law (not stealing) against the value of human life (saving a dying person) (Berk, 2014 pg. 323). This was due to the death toll, possibly larger than that of the Holocaust. Between 1998 and 2007, there were a total of 5.4 million people dead. The number of those deaths has definitely gone up over the years (Heaton 1). Everyone, whether it is through war or poverty, suffers from this immense tragedy. I was interested in the topic due to the little bit of research I did. The massive death toll would include that of the Rwanda Holocaust and the Congo Holocaust. These deaths include murder, suicides, starvation, poverty, and disease. The political aspect of this situation is the government killing off rebels and targeting specific groups such as Hutu s, Tutsi s, and the DRC. They target people to rile up a dispute, start the war, and gain allies (World without Genocide 2). Many people are dying whether due to poverty, indirectly, or political stance, directly. The people suffering from the poverty aspect are getting the effects of the mass murders and the country s political instability. Genocide describes the heinous act of killing others in order to prove the point. In this case, Rwanda s government is targeting specific people. The Congo War, a massive destruction to their country, is genocide. One reason it is, in fact, genocide is due to the amount of murders occurring. The variation of the views even within the egalitarian and complementarian perspectives was interesting. It reminded me that in ourselves alone unity cannot be found. Only in Christ can we obtain unity displaying a countercultural attribute that reflects His light and hope for this world. I am praying for our Great God s faithful help in this. Egalitarian Perspective In learning about the egalitarian perspective from Linda L. Belleville and Craig S. Keener, the bottom line difference between egalitarians and complementarians seems to be the extent of which women can lead men. The egalitarian believes scripture supports mutual ministry opportunity for both genders. Belleville states Egalitarian is to believe in the mutual gifting of women and men . (35) Keener s four options of viewing women in ministry is also very helpful. The fourth option is The Bible permits women s ministry under normal circumstances but prohibits it in exceptional cases, in which case we should allow it under most circumstances today (Gundry, Beck 206). The egalitarian view is not about who has authority over a congregation, but by grace is given to believers through Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit, empowerment is given both genders to minister to the congregation and equip the saints for ministry. The Decline of Jazz has fueled a debate as to whether or not the genre is dead. Many music scholars and fans argue that jazz s popularity is declining because the people who appreciate the music are aging and newer generations do not share their love of the music. For as long as I can remember, my parents have played jazz music in our home, while cooking meals together, or entertaining guests, or reading on a Sunday morning. My familiarity with the music from a young age is what caused me to start singing songs from artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone. Jazz served as the foundation for my love and appreciation of music, both old and new, which is why I believe there is a place for jazz in the future. Over the past century, jazz music has evolved immensely so much so that some people mistake the genre s evolution for complete disappearance. But jazz is not dead. Instead, it has been woven together with other genres, such as rock and pop, and embraced new sounds and techniques that make it difficult for people to recognize as jazz. The musicians who have expressed a deep love and passion for the music are the ones who have kept jazz alive. I noticed many similarities in deindustrialization, metropolitan fragmentation, and the rights revolution between the piece and what we have discussed in class. Kruse states that when the desegregation of municipal spaces began to occur, everyone in Atlanta had the freedom to live in the best place that they could afford. There was metropolitan fragmentation, which is the segregating of a community into smaller municipal areas. • 31. The Positive And Negative Aspects Of Hospitalization Healthcare is an issue that affects people all around the world. Many countries have adopted different perspectives on how to solve this problem. Two of the main solutions to the healthcare problem are a free market healthcare system or a national healthcare system. Both of these positions have positive and negative attributes that come into play when they are compared with one another. These systems create an environment where the majority of people receive healthcare but in different ways. Healthcare is something that allows people to use hospitals and other facilities at a reduced cost. This enables people to get check ups and immunizations without paying for the full cost of the visit. • 33. Causes And Treatment Of Lymphatic Massage Lymphatic massage was introduced in the 1930s by Danish physiotherapists Dr. Emil Vodder and his wife (Benjamin, 2010). His wife Astrid Vodder practiced naturopath. Emil Vodder studied at the University of Copenhagen for biology, botany, and mineralogy, later began showing interest in the physical medicine along with the lymphatic system. Vodder knew many scientists who had studied the mysterious clear water centuries ago, scientist such as Gaspare Aselli (1581 1626) who discovered the lacteal vessels in the lymphatic system, Jean Pecquet (1622 1674) described the cisterna chyli and the thoracic duct leading to the venous arch (Wittlinger, 2004). Olaus Rudbeck discovered the lymph vessels of the colon and rectum and confirmed that these vessels lead to the cisterna chyli as Aselli had described already. Rudbeck was the first who discovered that the lymph from the tissue runs into lymph vessels and to the thoracic duct back to the blood circulation. In the 18th century it was discovered that the whole body contained lymph vessels and that the task of the lymph vessel system is to absorb tissue liquid. Vodder and his wife moved to Paris, France in 1933 to practice the modality on his patients (Wittlinger, 2004). The concept of lymph drainage by massage therapy is similar to opening a valve of a tube filled with water and allowing the water to flow into another tube to release pressure and alleviate build up in the lymph nodes.
