Susan Hill, In the Set of the King of The Castle is based in a large house called Warings; it was once
before a countryside Mansion but now it all decayed. In this specific passage the reader is given a
clear idea of the reason behind it. Yet also, the whole extract gives us full details to understand Joseph
Hooper s wanting E Hooper s power, compassion and not respecting People s human rights. Your
father should have left you some money... to pay off all this debts , Since the Beginning it was
observed how Hooper abuses his social class to bully Kingshaw s Social class and his fathers. In the
end of the passage a small fight occurs between both characters where Kingshaw punches Hooper and
attempts to escape Warings. This specific incident sets the scene where in chapter #3 he is attacked by
a crow. The crow symbolises Hooper who is very protective of his territory and will not let Kingsshaw
threaten his privilege position at the Warings. The most significant aspect of this Red room is the
mention of the Moths.
The symbolism of the moths is to add a environment of death to the passage. The author uses the
Moths to add a sordid tone as the rest of the novel is taking place. The author uses the death of the
moth s to show how Hooper is slowly killing or taking Kingshaw s life hope or free spirit. The glass
cabinets filled with Moths are used to symbolise the death and disintegration of Hooper s power, this

As stated by the founding fathers of America All men are created equal. Black, white, brown, short,
tall, smart, and dumb, all are created equally. Therefore every person deserves fair judgement.
Unfortunately, it is a profound fact that not everyone is born normal and capable of task typical for a

When the law was signed, new doors opened for the deaf and hard of hearing culture for a better
opportunity in gaining equal rights. President Bush appointed four titles to protect deaf and hard of
hearing people. In The ADA and Deaf Culture by Tucker, B. Title I, prohibits both public and private
employers from refusing to hire or promote an individual because of his or her impairment and
requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations for applicants or employees who are deaf
or hard of hearing (Tucker 28). If a deaf or hard of hearing employee can pass the essential part of the
job qualification, he or she is protected by the ADA to be hired. Also, the ADA prohibits employers to
discriminate disabled people in means of recruitment, job applications procedures, pay rates, and

The Impact Of Modern Public Sphere On The Middle East
During the 19th century the Middle East found themselves with a problem of establishing an identity
or nationalism. Through defensive developmentalism the Middle East had sought to counter the
imperialistic approach of the West, yet still begin to modernize their land. The world was developing
rapidly and the Middle East wanted to ensure that they did not fall behind. However, the approach
backfired and the Middle East found themselves struggling to establish their own modern identity and
falling victim to becoming more like the Europeans. Many new ideas and new movements developed
through Middle Easterners, some wanted to modernize and began to fuse European and Arabic
tradition, while others wanted to re establish Islamic tradition. Most detrimental to these new ideas
and movements was the emergence of the modern public sphere. The modern public sphere flowed
into all aspects of these new movements and had many effects on the Middle East. In essence, this
idea of modernization would combine with the imperialism of European thoughts, as well as
components of the industrial revolution and would lay the foundation for the fusing of the Europeans
with Islamic traditions.

in a mall in which a very deadly virus has been released inside the mall s air vents. Trying to contain
the contagious virus, the government quickly quarantines the entire mall, leaving the shoppers inside
to survive on their own. In this book, it focuses on 4 teenagers (Lexi, Marco, Ryan and Shay) whom

Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates is about the US Tripoli War of 1801 1805 that took place
during Jefferson s presidency. The book starts off with the newly independent United States facing the
difficulties of all the states that operated in the Mediterranean faced, which was the risk of trade

Crews from the ships would be held captive and tortured for years and months on end. The United
States tried their hardest to keep the peace in line but nothing was working. So the United States army
set off on the USS George Washington to Algerines and Tripoli to settle things. A man by the name of
Thomas Jefferson was inaugurated as president in the year of 1801 and not long after he would send
warships to Tripoli and confront the pirates face to face for their doings. This caused a blockade so no
pirates would be able to attack the merchant ships. What this action would do was not what Jefferson
thought would happen but as an outcome an all out war broke loose between Jefferson s army and the
Tripoli pirates and their allies. The war would go on and on off the coast. The blockade only held for
so long. Finally the pirates would make their way through and ships started to come up on shore. The
USS Philadelphia hit shore in Tripoli s harbor and the pirates captured it. A young navy member then
snuck onto the ship and set it on fire during an enemy gun fire, destroying any goods the pirates could
get their hands on or even stop them from rebuilding the ship and turning it against the United States
Navy. The war would continue for a while until finally peace agreements were made and the U.S

My Goals For A Social Worker
I did not always want to be a Social Worker. I wanted to be a psychologist when I graduated high
school. My dreams for my career got put on hold because I became a single mother at a young age.
Raising my child on my own was the hardest and most important thing to me. It was not until the
Department of Children and Families (DCF) came and removed my niece from my sister s home,
when I realized what Social Work was. At that moment, I knew I wanted to help children the same
way the social workers do.
My educational career started when I was laid off from my job 5 years ago. Part of the severance
package that I received made it possible for me to collect unemployment until I finished my degree. I
earned my A.S. degree in Human Services, and am currently working on obtaining my B.S. in Social
Work, all while being a stay at home mom to a teenager. I have made the Dean s List for the past few
semesters and would like the opportunity to help others with all the services that are available for the
clients that are in need.
Social Work, as a profession, is a great fit for me. My interest in social work originates from having
the desire to be able to help children that are abused and neglected to find better homes and safe
environments. Helping foster children find loving families, so they can be loved and happy too. I
enjoy helping and making a difference in the lives of others. I have been so close to being homeless it

The Dangers Of Children On The Playground
Children on the playground are often quick to react to perceived violent actions by fellow youth.
Quips like You hit me so I will hit you can be heard. The children are all grown up now, their names
are America and the Soviet Union, and furthermore the stakes are immensely superior to a playground
squabble. In 1945, there was no doubt the Allies would win the wars versus Germany and Japan,
however, the unanswerable question was: How long, and how any lives, and how much destruction
would there be before the Axis powers capitulated Bridger, S. (2016)? Like children on the
playground, a dangerous game was played with the stakes of worldwide destruction. This tit for tat
preventative became known as mutually assured destruction (MAD) The A Bomb, made in America
with all its destructive power was inconceivable to many. However, after use on the cities of Nagasaki
and Hiroshima, and the horrific devastation which resulted, the world took notice. The A Bomb was
the new Playstaion, everyone kid wants the newest Playstation. Unfortunately the A Bomb is not a
game console, but a device unthinkable devastation. At the end of the 1960 s era movie called Dr.
Strangelove it depicts the lunacy of the mutually assured destruction concept, and the fragility of how
close to the brink of destruction the world is (Dr Strangelove, 2016). The movie ends with the actor
Slim Pickens riding atop an atomic bomb dropped in from an American B 52(Dr Strangelove, 2016) .

Separate Peace Theme
Law and order is a synonym for peace; however often to obtain peace law and order must be broken.
Though this is true, peace is not all encompassing. Not only can peace can be found in some parts of
life and lacking in others, but peace has many types that affect each part of daily life. A Separate Peace
by John Knowles explores the relationship between external and internal peace. When external
societal peace is disrupted people become willing to commit a kind of suicide by breaking the rules in
an effort to obtain inner peace. Daily life is heavily affected by different forms of peace. External
societal peace, is the peace that is not in an individual s control. For example, war, conflicts in
relationships, and random acts of violence are $$#Break#$$ Many rules that people are forced to
follow violate their own personal values and morals. As a result, when external peace is disrupted
people decide that it is alright to add to the disruption if their values would be upheld through doing
so. The text states, Phineas didn t really dislike West Point in particular or authority in general, but just
considered authority the necessary evil against which happiness was achieved by reaction, the
backboard which returned all the insults he threw at it (11). This quote contradicts the statement that
breaking the rules can enable someone to obtain inner peace because it states that authority returns
some sort of punishment any time you break the rules. This is true, and therefore supports the idea that
breaking the rules is a kind of suicide. In some cases the suicide can be literal. For example, Phineas
insists on jumping off the tree everyday to cope with the war. Surviving the jump everyday causes him
to achieve inner peace because it is a way of getting over his fear of going to the war. This is a literal
suicide because as shown later in the book the jump from the tree is very dangerous and ultimately
killed him. Breaking the rules can also be a metaphorical suicide because even though internal peace
is being met it causes other external peace to be disrupted. According to Merriam Webster dictionary,
the definition of suicide it the act of taking one s own life voluntarily as well as the ruin of one s own
interests. Gene breaks the rules and goes to the beach with Phineas for a night. This is a metaphorical;
kind of suicide because it is against his own interests when he fails his test the next day. Overall, this
