The Legal Obligations Of The Manager
I enjoyed catching up with you on last Friday, and I would like to thank you for asking for my
input with the situation you are facing with your department. It is not easy dealing with people
who lack morals and values, but we have to find a way to include upper management to help
resolve the difficulties organizations face on a daily basis. As a dear friend, I will make a few
recommendations on handling this type of situation in a legal, professional manner. Relying upon
trusted professional colleagues and friends help sustain accurate self reflection and the emotional
and psychological endurance needed to bring energy and commitment to the position (Evans School

The plan of the Steel Magnolias is an autobiography or a bond narrative. While a lot of the action

Monte Cristo History
The Count of Monte Cristo is a movie based off of the book written by Alexandre Dumas and
directed by Kevin Reynolds. The movie is not entirely historically accurate and was written
mostly for entertainment purposes. There are various events throughout the movie that include
historical references, however it is a very minor aspect of the movie. The historical references in
the movie do not intend to create a real story as a history textbook would. They are there to add an
interesting finesse to the story without straying away from the main plot. One of these major
historical references is Napoleon exile to Elba, and his attempt to come back to power in France.

It was never created to follow an exact event in the past, but was more created as a fictional plot
with historical aspects to it. Many would criticize the movie because of its lack of accurately
portraying the time period and following historical events, however I believe that it did a good
job of throwing in historical sites throughout the movie. The movie also has references to
common problems that everyday people face, regardless of the time they are from or where they
live. For example, Fernand Montego played by Guy Pearce is a jealous best friend who
purposely sabotages Edmond and gets him thrown into prison. This is all just so he could get
his girl and feel better about himself. This problem is very similar to problems people deal with
every day. People are constantly caught up in jealousy, which causes them to do horrible things
such as betraying their lifetime best friend. Another major theme in the story that is seen in every
day life is revenge. Edmond gets so caught up in giving all those that crossed him what they
deserved that he nearly loses the woman he loves and his best friend. This is something that
people get involved in all the time in todays world. We get so caught up in giving others what we
think they deserve that we almost lose those who are closest to us. One minor thing that stood out

Data was collected via primary and secondary sources. Descriptive statistical tools for data analysis
i.e. table, histogram and graph were used in analysing data collected. The study confirmed that
margin loans have a positive effect on the stock market and investors during periods of boom and
the opposite during periods of economic downturn and further revealed that investors have little or
no idea of the terms and conditions attached to margin loan contracts.
The study therefore recommends that investors should be properly oriented on the terms and
conditions of a margin loan contract before the extension of such facilities to them and that the
CBN should restructure margin debts/interests and that toxic assets in the market should be bought
by the FGN in order to restore sanity and stability in the Nigerian Capital Market.

Dr. Bronner s Magic Soaps
Executive Summary Dr. Bronner s Magic Soaps has the capability to expand into Tanzania based
on its key resources and strengths in the company. Tanzania is the right country to enter because of
recent economic and urban development with a need for the product. Dr. Bronner s will have to be
aware of the competitive rivalry and threat of substitutes in the industry to be successful. Also, the
political, economical and social factors must be taken seriously before entering.
Introduction
Dr. Bronner s Magic Soap, the number one selling organic soap in North America has expanded into
twenty nine different countries. However, an expansion into Tanzaniawould be the first movement
into a country in Africa for the family owned business. There is great complexity in expanding into
a new country, but certainly when it is a new continent. After analyzing the company and the
product in the first installment, I will be now evaluating the country and the industry using a Porter
s five forces analysis and PESTLE analysis.
Country Analysis Tanzania is a developing nation located in East Africa in the African Great Lakes
region. Despite its low per capita income, Tanzania has established a significant growth rate in the
last several years. There are several reasons Dr. Bronner s Magic Soap should invest in the country
due to projected economic development, future urbanization, intriguing cities to invest, and a
serious need for the product.

The Riddle Of Latin America Chapter Summary
Cities and towns in Latin America capture the remnants of the past. They hold stories of the
people that once inhabited such places and give a sense of lastingness. In chapter 6 of The Riddle
of Latin America, Lane describes cities having divisions called barrios that were distinctively
characterized by a mixture of people that advocated the colonial citylife. There was a mixture of
indigenous people who were of lower class and African Americans who were the slaves of the
elitist (113). The epitome of colonial city transcended a civilized life filled with educational units,
theaters, buildings for legal systems, and, monumental churches religious causalities. Cities held a
prestige, often times the capitals held the wealthiest and most elite (priests, people in power) of the
population. Cities had around 100,000 citizens whereas towns were less dense.
The elite lived in two story houses that were in close proximity to the plaza traza. Everything in
the city was regulated: curfews, water supplies, even to what the people could wear in public. ...

The locals weren t impressed by European foods: olive oil, wheat, etc. Conversely, alcoholic
beverages were a hit. The elite felt aversion towards native foods (128). They did not want to feel
plebian, however, through time they began to appreciate maize and manioc. The tomato, chili
pepper, potato, vanilla, and cocoa were sent across the sea. The potato was cultivated in certain
areas like Ireland where it thrived the best. Indigenous people also warmed up to the imported crops
such as plantains and sugarcane. Food wasn t the only item that was reciprocated. Disease spread
rapidly due to unhygienic routines, malnutrition, and unhealthy sanitation practices: having scat all
over streets and dead animals (128). The Europeans and Africans brought lots foreign bacteria that
the natives were not immune to like small pox, influenza, and

Gulliver s Travels Essay
Gulliver s Travels: British Society and American Society
Time is a dressmaker specializing in alterations. In Jonathan Swift s fictional novel, Gulliver s
Travels, Lemuel Gulliver, is the narrator and protagonist who goes on four adventurous voyages.
He is a practical minded Englishman trained as a surgeon who takes to the seas when his business
fails. The details in his style of narration makes it clear that he is bright or intelligent, and well
educated, but his insights are naГЇve and gullible. Throughout his journeys, Gulliver is a serious
first person narrative that hardly shows any signs of self reflection or deep emotional response.
Certainly, sometimes his obsession with the facts of navigation, becomes difficult to comprehend,
as his fictional editor, Richard Sympson, makes it clear when he explains having had to cut out
nearly half of Gulliver s repetition. In Gulliver s Travels, Swift introduces many places that serve as

Hometown Morning By Thomas Kinkade
In 2000, Thomas Kinkade, the Painter of Light, created Hometown Morning, which is an oil
painting on canvas. This painting is part of the Hometown Memories collection as he paints
different scenes from his childhood growing up. Hometown Morning is a painting of a street in
Placerville, California that is full of life. It is a small community with people walking down the
sidewalk and everyone and everything just seems peaceful. Since the original has been sold, the last
location of the paintingwas at The Thomas Kinkade Museum in Monterey, California. The use of
melancholic colors are shown as it is a dim setting as the sun begins to rise over the city street.
However, the only vibrant colorused throughout the piece is a bright gold yellowto illuminate the
insides of the homes through the windows. Kinkade s use of complementary colors are visible
throughout. Different shades of yellow and blue are seen as there is yellow in the sky and also
blue on the street. There are more cold colors than warm colors since the setting is in the
morning and during the winter after it has rained. The people are dressed in winter clothes and
some even have scarves on. Kinkade uses directional line to direct our attention to what is going
on as our eyes go down the street. There is not an actual diagonal line that makes the road smaller,
but the use of grass and the sidewalks does the trick. The people in the foreground are headed
down the street leading the viewer s eyes head the same

Credit Sesame Commercial Meaning
The ad that caught my ear was a commercial on the Logo TV Channel (Channel 254 on Dish
Network) during an episode of The Nanny that was promoting the product Credit Sesame. The
commercial begins with a woman sitting on a couch saying, It seems like everybody wants to
give you a free credit score these days. Okay, I got my score. Now what? Then, she explains that
Credit Sesame is a service that gives consumers a free credit score, but also shows them what is
impacting their score and gives them a strategy to improve their credit score. The woman also
highlights the fact that Credit Sesame can also suggest credit cardsthat can help consumers save
money. Finally, she ends by joking, I mean if Credit Sesame can do all that, I wonder if they... Show

Even though the advertisement was only thirty seconds long, the advertisement stuck with me
because of the humorous line at the end of the commercial that caught my attention. Another
marketing strategy used in the ad was using fear. The ad seemed to be designed to invoke a sense
of fear into consumers that just knowing their credit score was not enough, and that Credit Sesame
would be the perfect solution to subside those fears of the unknown. Additionally, Credit Sesame
seems to be using the marketing strategy of repetition. With the commercial being only thirty
seconds long, Credit Sesame can air the advertisement more often I have seen this commercial often
on this channel and others. The advertisement was also slightly louder than the television show I
was watching, which is a famously unpopular marketing strategy; however, the volume change was
only apparent to me when I reviewed the ad a few times for this assignment. Finally, the advertisers
used bright colors and graphics to make the television commercials eye catching. I do not own the
product that the advertisement is promoting, but these marketing strategies have almost swayed me
into checking out Credit Sesame. However, after learning about restraint in making purchases in
Personal Finance, I will do some research beforehand to make sure that the product is legitimate

Pierre Simon Laplace s Theory Of Determinism
Pierre Simon Laplace was a famous scientist born on March 23, 1749, in Normandy, France. He
went through schooling and later enrolled at Caen University at the age of sixteen to study
theology. His father had an expectation for him to have a career in the church, in those times
when people attended the school Laplace attended, their usual job destinations were the church or
army. Laplace went into neither of those, even those he was studying theology. While at the
school he discovered his love for mathematics and discovered he had a talent in that field.
Laplace made numerous contributions through his work. Besides his work on mathematical
astronomy, he also studied planetary orbits. Laplace is famous for his discovery of what is
famously known as Laplace s Demon, which is not an actual demon. Laplace s Demon was first
known as Laplace s Intellect. His thought experiment was first discovered by him in 1814, which
made it the first published work of determinism. Laplace s Demon, is basically the idea of
determinism. His other works, although should still not go unnoticed, he had a great influence on
the progress of the mathematical theory of mechanics, also the Laplace Operator in potential theory,
and the Laplace Transform in the study of differential equations. Laplace believed that with his
discovery, you could measure an atoms velocity and location. Basically, what it means for his
experiment is that if you can calculate those things, you can predict all future

Women Entrepreneurs And Social Incubators Essay
In this chapter literature on women entrepreneurs and social incubators is discussed. It also
explains the conceptual framework and conceptual map of the study..
2.1 Concept of Women Entrepreneur
Women or a group of women who initiate, organize and operates a business enterprise is defined as
Women Entrepreneurs . The Government of India has defined women entrepreneurs as an
enterprise owned and controlled by women having a minimum financial interest of 51 per cent of
the capital and giving at least 51 per cent of the employment generated in the enterprise to women.
Women Entrepreneur is a person who accepts challenging role to meet her personal needs and
become economically independent (Meenu Goyal and Jai Prakash, 2011, pp. ). In India, these
entrepreneurs are part of the larger sustainable development strategy employed by the
policymakers. Evidence shows that Women entrepreneurship has already contributed to the
economic growth across the world and women led enterprises are increasing in every country..
These enterprises also created a large number of job opportunities in their respective economies.
Apart from this, these enterprises also created new business solutions for the pressing social
problems.Further in whole enterprises scenario, number of enterprises owned by women is very
less compared to men. Government of India has implemented various schemes for development of
such enterprises but impact is yet to be seen. Over the past few decades role of

John Coltrane Characteristics
Despite a relatively short career, John Coltrane was among the most influential, and most
controversial figures in jazz. He pioneered many important directions and developments in jazz in
the 1950s and 1960s including hard bop, modal jazz and free jazz. Coltrane was also known for his
virtuosic ability in improvising. He has such command over his instrument that many other players
tried to imitate his sound on the tenor saxophone, though only a few could approach his technical
mastery. Coltrane s creative output can be marked by three periods of distinct stylistic personality
where each period demonstrates characteristic stylistic evolutions in Coltrane s musical language.

His musical development from this period can be subdivided into three. First, his association and
apprenticeship with the jazz trumpeter Miles Davis, who was once again active and about to form a
quintet after several years of decline in activity and reputation, due to his struggles with heroin.
The quintet, also known as Davis First Great Quintet , which, in addition to Miles Davis and John
Coltrane, consisted of pianist Red Garland, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Philly Joe Jones.
His association with the Miles Davis quintet led to his first major breakthrough in their first album
for the record label Columbia, Round About Midnight (1955). This particular album on which
Coltrane was featured, indicates that he had indeed been influenced by the cool style of Miles
Davis. Throughout the album, Coltrane s playing has a restrained but refined and pretty sound that
is characteristic of the cool style of jazz. Coltrane was later fired for his unreliability in
performance due to his alcohol and drug

difference can be seen in the success of their children. The children of Chinese parents often excel in
various areas, including in their educational, musical, and professional lives. The children of
American parents, however, usually have a harder time excelling in those areas. Chinese parents

I can see the positive and negative in both methods. The fundamental problem with all parents is
selfishness. When Western parents don t do enough to help their kids reach their potential, they
are selfish, and probably too busy doing what we feel like doing. And when Chinese parents force
kids to do what will bring the parents praise, they are selfish too. I think that the correct approach is
a balance between Chinese and Western parenting, with the focus being on commitment to your
children. If parent can find the balance between these two types then both sides will have succefull

You can t be too soft and too hard. You have to balance it out.

The Tragedy Hecuba Which Was Written By Euripides Essay
Kathleen:
Our play was the tragedy Hecuba which was written by Euripides in 424 BC, 7 years after the
beginning of the Peloponnesian and Archidamian War which was fought between Athens and
Sparta. Euripides was an Athenian who was born around 485BC on the island of Salamis which is
off the coast of Piraeus. He competed several times in Athens annual City Dionysia, which, as we
know, was a dramatic festival held in honour of Dionysus. This means that the majority of his
audience would have been Athenians, like himself.
So, just a quick introduction to the play. The key characters are HECUBAwho was the Queen of
Troy and wife of the Trojan King Priam, THE GHOST OF POLYDORUS who was the son of
Hecuba and Priam, POLYXENA who was their daughter, POLYMESTOR who was the King of the
Thrace and was also married to Priam s eldest daughter, ODYSSEUS, who as we know was a
Greek Homeric hero and AGAMEMNON who was the Greek leader.
The story takes place just after the Trojan Warwhile the Greeks are heading home. It begins with
the GHOST OF POLYDORUS telling a story of how he was murdered by POLYMESTOR for
treasure and his body was thrown into the sea. On their way home, the Greeks with their Trojan
prisoners, including HECUBA and POLYXENA, anchor in the same place and must sacrifice
Polyxena in order to placate the spirit of Achilles. After her daughter is sacrificed, Hecuba learns of
POLYDORUS death, driving her to madness. She knew that POLYMESTOR was the guilty party

Technology And Its Effect On Technology
Are we becoming way too dependent on technology and allowing it to take over our lives? The
majority of people own at least one or more of these devices: a computer, laptop, tablet, or a cell
phone. So many people seem unable to function through their daily routine without having access to
some form of technologydevice. I m willing to bet that you have at least two of these devices in
your home, too. Now, stop and think about how often we use technology devices throughout the
day. As a result of the growing need for technological devices, we have become dependent on
technology in the work place and school, for social media, and simple daily functions that we
should be able to manage on our own. In the majority of businesses and many educational
facilities, the use of technology devices has become a part of the regular equipment needed to be
able to function throughout the day. Many businesses have gone paperless and depend solely on
computers for all their record keeping, schedules, payroll, and various other files; but what
happens when the lights go off and the day must go on? Very few businesses still keep printed
hardcopies for daily use. We have placed ourselves in a situation where in some cases the only
decision is to cancel upcoming events, appointments, or other scheduled activities for the day
because our devices are not functioning. Numerous educational facilities are headed in the same
direction, requiring use of computers and tablets as part of the daily

Duct Pressure Testing Essay
Duct Pressure Testing in Martinsburg, WV, and the Surrounding Areas If you have never heard
of duct pressure testing, you re not alone. Many homeowners are unaware of this practice and
the important role it serves in keeping your air ducts functional. This is a diagnostic procedure
to measure the air tightness of the air ducts in your home. It can be done in a home that is
already inhabited, as well as in a newly built structure. If you are unsure as to whether the ducts
in your home should be pressure tested, consult TI Dawson Heating AC. We provide duct
pressure testing to residents in the Martinsburg, WV area. Why Duct Pressure Testing Is
Necessary Should you have pressure testing done on your ductwork? Only an expert should help
you make that decision. If you suspect that your ducts are leaking, then testing them is generally
a good idea. Duct leaks in your home can make it unhealthy and uncomfortable. If the return
ducts are leaky, they can draw pollutants into the home from a variety of places, such as your
basement, attic, garage, or crawl space. If the supply ducts were not installed properly, they could

Italian Renaissance Beliefs
History paper
During the Italian Renaissance, people were influenced by positive values that helped change
human expectations. The values that people based their lives on we re humanism, secularism,
individualism, skepticism, generalism, and classicism. Humanism was the idea that people have
the ability to do what they want in life. Those who believed in secularism tended to focus more on
what they want to do in life rather than focus on religion. Artists show individualism through their
artwork by creating more unique pieces. The people were always willing to ask questions due to
their skepticism as well. Many talented individuals had skills with several activities expanding
generalism is him in the Italian Renaissance. There was also an interest in classicism as people
wanted to learn about ancient Greece and Rome.
Donatello is known as one of the more influential people of that time period. Donatello was so
admirable in knowledge, in judgment, and in the practice of his art that he may be said to have

William Shakespeare s Antigone
Olivia Seeney
ENGL 330 Studies in World Literature
11/21/16
Hubris and Drama in Antigone Hubris may be categorized as two things. As a part of the Greek
theater hubris qualifies as being the intentional use of violence to humiliate or degrade (Luebering).
However, a more modern qualification defines hubris as exaggerated pride or self confidence
(Hubris). Throughout Antigone both of these different characterizations of the word hubris can be
found in specific events and characters. Being a Greek tragedy, it is evident that the concept of
hubris plays a very important role in the development of characters and provides the reasoning for
why each person does what they do. Much of the drama in this play is born from either excessive
pride or from the unnecessary violence against sacred rituals or those who perform them.
However, it is also possible to notice characters who fall outside of this hubris and rather choose to
fight against it. By going against this traditional Greek dramatic element these characters highlight
the injustices that are being displayed by those they are going against. Overall, the impact that
hubris has had on this tragedy and on the culture as whole affects how each of the characters either
use hubris to advance both themselves and their goals, or choose to fight against it for the good of
those around them. The incorporation of hubris into Antigone can be visualized specifically by
examining two characters in particular. The first character is

A Research Study On Ivf
Before this systematic review published, only two reviews were available of outcomes for
singletons after IVF techniques. In comparison with natural conception, it has been proposed that
the obstetric results of pregnancies are poorer with IVF/ICSI. Today, it is reported that the
number of women that undergo IVF/ICSI process is increasing around the world. With this, I am
curious about the risks for women having IVF/ICSI and how perilous it is to them since the
process is not natural. I would also like to know what causes the risks and specifically the factors
that increase them. As a nurse who had IVF education and practice and worked with such
renowned IVF specialists such as Dr. Buckett, Dr. Holzer and Dr.Tan, I decided to conduct a
synthesized evidence search on the systematic reviewso that I can help these patients to have more
attentive care to prevent or minimize the possible risks of In Vitro Fertilization techniques that may
potentially endanger them.
In this synthesized, evidenced search, I wanted to learn whether IVF pregnancies are bound to
greater precarious risks and whether there is the way to minimize possible risks by providing more
antenatal care to the clients. I find this important since most of the patients having IVF/ICSI are
very delicate, so they would require more systematic care based on recent studies.
I used the key search terms. I entered Systematic review , IVF , and ICSI . Out of more than 40
systematic reviews on the Health Reproduction

Racial Tensions In The Workplace
Unbeknownst to many, the workplace harbors a notorious serial killer; Race. There are several
cases, notably that of Alison Parker and Adam Ward, where racial tensions in the workplace
sparked hatred and resentment. Alison Parker and Adam Ward were murdered by Vester Flanagan,
a coworker of theirs. As for why, The Louisiana Weekly states that Vester sued his former employer
for racial discrimination, but the claim fell through. While his reasons do not justify his actions,
racial discrimination is just as intolerable, especially in the workplace. But racial tension doesn t
come naturally to the workplace, it is brought by the people, people instilled with the ideas of their
ancestors. The repression of African Americans began with the Transatlantic

A Comparison Of Sirens And The Little Mermaid
Sirens and The Little Mermaid
There is a universal ideology that suggests that each gender plays their specific, individualized
roles in society: men acting as independent, powerful alpha males, and women being their dutiful
submissives. Contemporary narratives depict women as such whereas mythology is rich with
goddesses and other female figures who are brave and powerful warriors equal to men. So if
mythology can be overflowed with stories about female leaders, how come contemporary
narratives have derived from that viewpoint? Sirens in Greek Mythology are a perfect example of
the derivation to the new idea of women in society: weak. By examining the myth of Sirens through
a feminist critical lens, the question of whether society is concerned with the ways in which
literature and other cultural productions reinforce or undermine the economic, political, social, and
psychological oppression (Brizee Web) will be answered. The mythological legend of the Sirens
highlights the superiority of these figures who could destroy by temptation through their melodic
voices; modern interpretations of sirens as in Disney s The Little Mermaid (1989) reduce the
feminine power of the siren to a contemporary stereotype of the powerless, dependent, subservient
woman.
Sirens in mythology are defined as beautiful, destructive creatures either half woman, half bird or
half woman, half fish that obtain power by luring sailors to their deaths, causing their ships to crash
on the reefs near

Ontario Confederation Essay
On July 1st of 1867, Ontario became of the founding members of the dominion of Canada, when it
joined with Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Quebec in confederation. This created the province
of Canada, from the merging of Upper Canada (Ontario), and Lower Canada, (Quebec).
As a fellow delegate of the province of Ontario, I believe that the predicament of having only the
government and its associates of having their voices heard upon, leads to an unrepresentative
perspective view towards various events that occurred within the process of confederation. The
numerous misheard voices of various ethnic and religious background, and even gender wise in
confederation predominantly affects our government as a whole. A significant amount of bias is
present, without the multitudinous perspectives of those points of view, creating significantly
narrow perspectives for various situations. This matter is eminently crucial towards the province of
Ontario, and most importantly, towards the dominion of Canada. They have their rights to have
their say in the agreements and/or elections of various events, as they too, are formal citizens of
this profound nation, whom is expanding and developing their population over periods of time

Bob Dylan s Influence during the Civil Rights Movements
Music has been around since the very beginning of time. The human body flows in a rhythmic
syncopation. Music is used to change one s mood and to inspire those who open their minds. It
has the potential to cure diseases such as Parkinson s disease. Humans, of every culture and
society, function with a type of rhythmic music. As humans, we are hard wired to respond to
music (Mannes). The human brain responds to music in such a way that the brain becomes more
open to new rhythms, ideas, and values. Music has the power to take over the human body. This
makes it easier to overcome conflict and change the ideals of somebody while using music (The
Power of Music).

Dylan made the people really dig down inside of their souls to find an answer. Dylan asked, How
many years can some people exist before they re allowed to be free? How many times can a man
turn his head pretending he just doesn t see? The answer Dylan had been simply Blowin In The
Wind . Dylan left the questions open ended because he himself did not truly know the answers.
Dylan was making the nation think for themselves rather than speaking with the normality of their
family and friends.
Bob Dylan also had a heavy influence on other music artists of his time. Examiner Publishing
reported that Dylan influenced John Lennon and it would show in Lennon s lyrics. Dylan promoted
the use of Marijuana. The marijuana showed through in Lennon s lyrics. It was a domino effect.
One simple idea from Dylan would push another little idea through Lennon in which finished with
two very influential music groups.
The song directly influenced Sam Cooke. After hearing Dylan s song, Cooke wrote his song A
Change is Gonna Come . Cooke s song was a tribute in a way to Dylan. Bob Dylan showed
America that if you don t stand up for what you believe in, nothing will ever get done. If society
were to stay quiet and remain a silent majority, the Civil Rights Movement would not have been
successful. Dylan helped to give courage to the many people who were longing to be heard.

Hydrogen Extraction Process For The Recovery Of Heavy Oil...
Abstract
Vapor extraction process for the recovery of heavy oil and bitumen was originally proposed by
Dr. Butler during 1989 1991. Since its evolution, vapor extraction has emerged as a very
effective and promising technique mainly due to its environment friendly nature and cost
effectiveness as compared to other recovery techniques. Vapex is basically an in situ recovery
process which injects a vaporized hydrocarbon solvent in the injection well to reduce the
viscosity the heavy oil and bitumen and allows it to drain out of the production well through
gravity drainage. Mass transfer of vaporized solvent to heavy oil and the gravity drainage are the
key parameters which mainly determine the production rate of heavy oil and bitumen with reduced
viscosity. This report provides a brief idea about the current heavy oil and bitumen deposits in
Canada, a better insight of the Vapex process and the factors which affect the efficiency of the
process. Several factors that scale up the performance of the process and important limitations are
also indentified that need further research for future growth of the process.
INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
Energy is the most important factor for growth and development. Petroleum being the primary
source of energy can be categorized into conventional and non conventional forms based on the
viscosity and API gravity. Heavy oil and Bitumen are the non conventional forms of energy which
are often referred as oil sands or tar sands having high

The Hunger Artist Essay
In the allegory, The Hunger Artist by Franz Kafka, the narrator spectates a strange public
presentation by performance artist known only as the Hunger Artist. Kafka paints a picture of
extreme isolation and alienation intensely saturated with meaning, in a straightforward and fact
based tone. The parable of this strange story is definitely subjective, albeit ironic, laden with
poignant lessons of how disengaged people are from their peers individual journeys and struggles.
Allegories are known for their richness in symbolism and hidden meanings, and the HungerArtist
certainly lives up to the expectations of an allegory. Kafka narrates in an omnipresent third person
point of view, giving away few clues about the characteristics of the cast or the setting. This
approach supports Kafka s theme of alienation and makes the readers feel as though they are also
spectators, watching the fasting performance for themselves. The tone Kafka uses lends itself
useful to effective foreshadowing, clueing the readers in to the plot s... Show more content on

The hunger artist is the major character, hopelessly devoted to his art of fasting. Kafka created a
perfect paradox of a protagonist, a character relying upon the very thing that he denounces. With
reckless abandon, the hunger artist renounces all hopes of comfort to achieve the impossible,
attempting to surpass his allotted forty days of fasting. The hunger artist strives to express himself
through his art of fasting but fails to see how his individualism alienates him from others. The
hunger artist embraces his martyrdom and devotion to fasting by moving from a cage on a
crowded street corner to a cage outside of a circus big top, near exotic animals. While the onlookers

The Depletion Of The Ozone Layer
Over hundreds of thousands of years humans have adapted their way of life to the environment
they live in resulting in us developing different physical attributes, shelters, clothing, foods,
languages and beliefs. But there are elements in our world that all humans, no matter where or
how they live depend on, water and air. Both are essential for life but air also protects all of us and
it is therefore understandable that the response to the depletion of the ozone layer became
international. This essay will look at what the ozone layer is, why it was depleting, how the
international response to this situation developed and what this collaboration means for our future.
The envelope of gases surrounding the earth is called the atmosphere and it serves three critical
functions: it provides life giving oxygen, keeps the earth warm, and protects us from deadly
ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. Most of the atmosphere consists of nitrogen and oxygen
(See Figure 1). But these gases do not keep us warm or protect the earth from UV rays. For these
functions you have to turn to some of the trace gases found in the atmosphere, commonly referred
to as greenhouse gases. They are: water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, and nitrous oxide.
These trace gases function like the transparent covering of a greenhouse, allowing sunlight to filter
through to the earth s surface, then trapping in the heat. Without this greenhouse effect the earth s
temperature would plummet far

National Culture And Corporate Social Responsibility...
Dear Professors Coulmont, Loomis, Berthelot,
I regret to inform you that your revised manuscript, National Culture and Corporate Social
Responsibility Reporting is being rejected. We have completed an evaluation of your paper by
sending it to two experts who assessed the overall potential contribution to business ethics research.
Unfortunately, based on their feedback there are concerns with the research problem and its
significance, the interpretations, and the overall contribution of the research.
In order to assist you in improving your work for possible future publication, I identified some key
areas to improve based on the reviews. I hope you will find these comments constructive and
detailed enough to provide some guideposts.
1.Conceptualization: Culture concept
a.Reviewer 2 noted that the culture concept was not developed enough, problematic, and needed
further justification. In his/her words: [M]ost of the companies come from USA, can you say that
US has a uniform culture? Furthermore, most of the companies are global and they work in global
business environment, what is really a point of national culture in that context? Why it is worth of
studying GRI and national culture if national culture is really a vague concept which really does
not exist?
2.Methods: Sample and approach
a.Reviewer 1 raised some critical questions and points regarding the GRI sample (see first
paragraphs in review).

Analysis Of Ordinary Men By Christopher Browning
Judenfrei was the goal. In many cases, this was achieved. Germany hoped to create lands free of
Jews; judenfrei. German blood was perceived as pure, creating the need to cleanse the nation of the
unkempt, parasitic Jews (Browning 44, 152). Ordinary Men by the historian and author,
Christopher Browning, follows the men of the German Reserve Police Battalion 101 as they work
towards this goal of extermination The story leads readers through these men s first experiences
clearing the area of the Jewish population, to these events becoming routine, all the way through the
trials which brought all of this to public light through Browning s extensive knowledge of Nazi
Germanyand the Holocaust with his MA and PhD from the University of Wisconsin Madison (

prominent question of anyone who would like to know, how did this happen? The Reserve Police

went back the China around 1407.
For his second journey he left in 1408, he went to Calicut again, then he stopped in Chochin
which is Kocki along the cost of the south. However, during his visit in Chochin King
Alogonakkara of Ceylon attached Zhang s troops, but in the end he defeated Alagonakkara s
troops. After Zheng s troops beat Alagonakkara s troops, they took the king of Nanjing as a

The Civil Rights Movement During The 1960 S
The American South in the 1960 s and Ancient Thebes both had a rigid social and legal system
that did not effectively and legitimately represent the majority of its citizens. In both eras, an
antihero rose up to defy the establish system. Dr. King, in the 1960 s, protested unjust laws and
was jailed and viewed as an antagonist. Similarly, in Ancient Thebes, Antigone is sentenced to
death for doing what she believes is right, regardless of the law. If Dr. King failed, he stood to
lose, in addition to his life, his reputation as someone who wanted true change for all African
Americans. Furthermore, future generations of colored people would have to endure the same
injustice that he was protesting against. Also, if his nonviolent ways failed there were people
ready to take the civil rights movement in a violent direction. If Antigone s defiance had failed,
her brother will never find peace in the afterlife, and Thebes will never find unity and solace after
its civil war. Additionally, she too could lose her life for her outward defiance. Therefore, both Dr.
King s nonviolent resistance, along with writing his letter from Birmingham Jail, and Antigone s
violation of Kreon s edict are justified by what they stood to lose if they did not take their
respective actions. Dr. King choose to address more than just his dissenters in Letter From

Electron Affinity Essay
Electron Affinity, by textbook definition it s the energy absorbed or released when an electron is
added to a neutral atom. (Ryerson, 2011, 35) Electron affinity is used in many cases First electron
affinity in bromine 35, has 324 kJ mol 1, or 5.39. These values show us, that Bromine released
energy, and became stable. Bromine would have had an exothermic reaction when the electronwas
added to the valence shell. This is because, when non metals gain electrons, the delta energy is
negative because they release energy to form an anion (exothermic process); thus, the electron
affinity will be negative (Harwood, 2016). There are 28 shielding electrons in Bromine which
mean that there more electron electron repulsion in Bromine than attraction within the nucleus.
Moreover, Bromine only needs one more electron to become stable in its valence shell, since it is
in the non metal group, it already has 7 electrons in its valence shell, and so that one electron
would stabilize this element. Overall first electron affinity in Bromine would benefit the element in
which it would stabilize and also allow energy to be released.... Show more content on

Lithium is a metal, so it would ve had an endothermic reaction, and gained energy to perform

(Harwood, 2016) Furthermore, there are only 2 shielding electrons in Lithium, this would mean
Lithium would have a very high attraction between its nucleus and electron, which highlights the
fact that it would need more energy to keep that nucleus from attracting the new electron. (Jones,

practices. 6. Feelings of helplessness, not being able to cope with the new environment. Culture
shock in all its diverse form is completely normal and is part of a successful process of
adaptation. Oberg also developed a model of adaptation that suggests that going abroad or working
internationally put you through or cycle of distinct phases on the way to final adaptations. The first
stage is the honeymoon phase, where all encounters in a new place are seen as exciting, positive
and stimulating. The new life is viewed as providing endless opportunities and the manager is
usually in a state of exhilaration. There is openness and curiosity, combined with a readiness to
accept whatever comes. Most importantly, at this stage judgment is reserved and even minor
irritations are suppressed in favor of concentrating on the n ice things about the job, the country, the
colleagues, the food, etc. In the second phase, culture shock sets in the manager realizes that
something is not quite right. This experience of foreignness

Navajo Tribe Research Paper
The Navajo tribe is one of the most well known Native American tribes in the world, and also
quite possible the largest. The Navajo reservation covers a large portion in the state of Arizona, an
is the largest known reservation, even having its own government. However, the history of the
Navajo tribe is a rich and complex thing, spanning almost as far back as the settlement of the first
human inhabitation of the Americas. There are not large amounts of documented history from the
pre european era of the Navajo, but extensive scientific studies and multiple archaeological finds
have given us clues about the early tribe. The Navajo were originally part of a group in western
Canada called the Athapaskans. All of them recorded followed the... Show more content on

This did not stop, and the Americans saw it as a minor threat, but established a fort near Canyon de
Chelly. Conflict continued, and rose and became extremely intense. In a particularly notable
confrontation, the leader of the Navajo groups, Narbona, was murdered. His son, Manuelito,
inherited the leader position and was furious about his father death. He swore revenge on the all of
the New Mexicans and Americans, and conducted raids more frequently and with more violence
and vigor.
War was brutal and tiring, and soon both sides were finished fighting, but unable to admit defeat. A
Indian agent negotiated a peace contract with the New Mexicans and Americans, and the
Americans and a Navajo headsman signed the contract. An issue with this contract was there was
more than one Navajo tribe, and the headsman who signed the contract only spoke for his group.
The rest of the Navajo groups had no contract they were obligated to, and continued about their
raids. The Americans thought the Navajo had broken their

Proposed Property Acquisition Blue-Eyed Nellie Wildlife...
The environmental assessment (EA), Proposed Property Acquisition Blue Eyed Nellie Wildlife
Management Area North Lily Property, in reference to the NEPA Environmental Assessment
Checklist, has the proper parts for a well written assessment. The purpose and need statement is
full of rich content allowing the reader to feel fully versed on the topic. It describes the property in
question in detail along with the vegetation and animals populating the area. The ability to partake
in the purchase is illustrated through the authority of the Montana Fish, Wildlife Parks (MFWP)
given by state law (Vinkey, 2006). The overall monetary cost of the purchase was disclosed in the
description of the action in the assessment. Alternatives to the... Show more content on

In the assessment there were only two alternatives, purchasing the land was the first alternative and
the second was to take no action (Vinkey, 2006). These both are fine as actions that can be taken;
however, there are organizations that will procure land for conservation purposes. The Safari Club
Foundation uses private donations and other procurements to promote conservation and game
preserves (Safari, n. d.). The statement that a conservation easement or lease are not feasible
alternatives (Vinkey, 2006) suggests a lack of options. This seems to be a bias on the part of the
author.
The no purchase option in the socio economic section had suggested that the economic use of the
land be on assumption. Also that there were no figures to determine the economic impact;
however, if assumptions were made to the economic use there should be at least theoretical
figures to develop an economic impact. The tax revenue for the county is also assumed to stay
the same; however, if the land was to be developed by a private citizen the value of the land would
increase and in turn the tax levy (Brooks, 2006). In the EA prior to the socio economic assessment
it is suggested that the tax revenue could increase due to development (Vinkey, 2006) in
contradiction with each other.
In reference to the wildlife and vegetation the arguments contradict themselves. The threatened
species, bull trout, with the no action

The Catcher in the Rye
The Catcher in the Rye Character Analysis of Holden Caufield
In J.D. Salinger s novel The Catcher in the Rye, the main character, Holden Caufield, describes in
detail the parts of his life and his environment that bother him the most. He faces these problems
with a kind of naivety that prevents him from fully understanding why it is that he is so depressed.
His life revolves around his problems, and he seems helpless in evading them. Among others,
Holden finds himself facing the issues of acceptance of death, growing up, and his own self
destructiveness.
One of the hardships Holden must cope with is his inability to come to terms with death, in
particular that of his younger brother, Allie. Holden seems to have experienced a... Show more

In chapter twenty five, Holden, while walking along Fifth Avenue, begins to believe that he will
not be able to get to the other side of the street each time he reaches the end of a block, as if he will
just fall off. He talks aloud to Allie to help him get through the ordeal. Holden also continues to see
Allie as one of the few things he likes about life.
Yet another demon that Holden avoids is the process of having to grow up. Throughout the book,
he seems hesitant to develop any real ambitions or goals. He is a perpetual failure at school. He
refuses to associate himself with mature ways of living, and so isolates himself from anyone his
own age or older. This is all directly connected to Holden s picture perfect image of his
childhood. He sees this particular period of his life as his own personal paradise. He does not
want to finalize the fact that he has to concede it s innocence in the end. Towards the end of the
book, Holden shows his desire for life to remain as it was by saying, ...certain things should stay
the way they are. You ought to be able to stick them in one of those big glass cases and just leave
them alone. Holden does not want to join a world of phonies and greed, a world lacking in
carelessness and irresponsibility. He won t, whether consciously or not, accept the fact that he has
no choice.
A final conflict in the life of Holden Caufield is his own self destructiveness. That he is

In the beginning of the short story, in just a few sentences the reader can quickly determine what
type of son Tommy is, he is one who doesn t give two hoots about anyone but himself, after being
so late to the house party (89). After learning about his father, Kyle Reeves, who was already
married to someone else and couldn t leave his wife, it is apparent that Tommy takes on the
characteristics of his father and proves the old saying like father, like son holds true (121).
Similarly, Kyle left Mawmaw with Tommy, and Tommy left Mawmaw with Shirley Temple
Three. Mawmaw has been dealing with abandonment and because she is used to being left
alone, it is not surprising that she took on the role of a caretaker for the mammoth. Pierce allows
the reader to be put in the perspective of Mawmaw. Throughout the short story, you can see what
type of person Mawmaw is based on her actions in regards to the mammoth. She cares deeply
about the mammoth, even making her home nearly an Arctic tundra to help the mammoth
regain its health. Pastor Frank plays a significant role in Mawmaw s life. He has prayed over her
many times over the past few years. Mawmaw struggles with what people will think of her and
her conflicts, stating that calling Pastor Frank is a risk (126). Pastor Frank serves the purpose of
bringing light to all of the internal conflicts that Mawmaw is dealing with and the different things
that she has had to pray about over the last thirty years. Pierce develops all characters very
carefully because they all play a significant role in the main idea that one should let go of their

Third Eye Experiences
The third eye is a very powerful tool of the soul. To see, to feel, and to hear the higher frequency
realities. These 3 functions of the soul are known as the third eye.
By practicing more and more meditation, more energy flows, more energy activates the third eye, it
s a great experience for the meditator. At the time of activation of the third eye, we feel an itching
sensation at the forehead region.
We start seeing glimpses of various colors rotating around us. We hear mumring sounds, sounds of
walking. We feel as if we re travelling in another dimension.
When everybody gets sufficient cosmic energy by more and more meditation, our third eye gets
perfected. After activing our third eye, we perceive crystal clear visions of many things. When we

We see masters who are not there physically with us, we see masters in a physical form.
After more meditation we start seeing the master like a bright light. Even by seeing the bright light
we feel the identity of the master. We can hear the messages from the masters. We feel like moving
in a tunnel and finally merging with the light.
From third eye experiences, we know we can answers for all our problems through messages from
the masters or by seeing other frequency realities or as a feeling. By this our actions will change,
our beliefs will change, our understanding and perception of life will change.
After this third eye experience, we find changes in our perception of this physical reality.
There is something I missed to tell you in the first words of my writing today. The perfection of

Analysis Of Humor In Angel Puss
The rest of the episode consists of the cat constantly outsmarting Sambo. With a slight grin on his
face, the cat moves the fence a few feet over, tricking Sambo to enter the wrong house. Now in
the house, he easily sneaks up behind Sambo. Leaning in, he whispers a faint, Boo. Screeching,
Sambo jumps out of his skin and then bolts in the opposite direction. This torture continues for
some time and then to the cat s dismay, the two fall into a lake. The paint quickly washes off,
exposing the cat. Puzzled, Sambo eventually realises he has been duped. Quickly, he gathers his
gun, corners the cat, and shots him five times. With a giant grin on his face Sambo finally feels

He has a droopy hat riddled with holes and is wearing unbuttoned overalls with fabric patches,
looking like a poor farmboy. Also, he committed a crime against his better judgement, just to get a

encourage feelings of superiority over the stereotypical poor, unhuman African American.
Additionally, his behavior encourages the poor unintelligent African American stereotypeof the
1930s. Many times he can barely function as a human through the episode. Normal behaviors
that most humans do with ease, like walking and talking, Sambo struggles with. He takes long
strides while methodologically thinking about each step in his head, and then stumbles with
most steps. Moreover, his speech skills are not to par with normal language abilities of a boy his
age. At the beginning of Angel Puss, his sorrowful song is nearly impossible to understand with
his heavy southern accent coupled with poor grammar. Likewise, his speech is slow and riddled
with stutters, implying that he did not receive a proper education to speak properly. His inability
to do basic human processes dehumanizes Sambo, making him inferior and easy to laugh at. Later
in the episode, Sambo is running for his life from what he thinks is a ghost. Wanting to mess with
Sambo even more, the cat starts rolling dice in his hands. Sambo hears the dice and begins to slow

Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs
Throughout the animation history, people have been constantly striving to achieve perfect realism.
Walt Disney s Snow white and the seven dwarfs (1937) is one of the earliest attempts in capturing
realism and achieving the life like , introducing new techniques such as roto scoping in characters
and multiplane cameras to create 3 dimensional depth. Therefore there are many flaws regarding
techniques, style and narrative despite how much effort and care was put into its making. The
scenes when snow white meets the dwarfs, sings into the well, and when the Queentransforms into
the evil witch; clearly demonstrates how realism is achieved and why impact the issue of realism.
With reference to Paul Wells conceptions of hyper realism and orthodox animation, the issues of
realism within the film will be discussed in the latter.
Snow white is an orthodox animation in its narrative that follows the conceptions of realism. Paul
Wells that the kind of film which seems to be the most accurately represent reality is the kind of
film that attempts to rid itself of obvious cinematic conventions in the prioritization of recording the
people, objects, environments and events which characterise the common understating of lived
experience. The film follow this conception accordingly. The film follows the traditional 3 Act
Structure with a beginning, middle, climax and resolution. In the beginning, snow white is
introduced as the powerless princess who is oppressed by her evil step

Coming Of Age Story Examples
The purpose of a coming of age story is to show kids turning into young adults and young adults
turning into adults. They show this by using selective detail to show kids standing up for what we
believe and facing their fears at the same time. These coming of age examples are demonstrated in
three stories A P, The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant, and Where Have you gone Charming Billy.
In the first story A P three girls walk into a A P convenience store in nothing but bathing suits to
pick something up for one of the girls mothers. The girls are confronted by the manager in front of
the whole store. One of the store clerks working a checkout is a little mad at the manager for
embarrassing the girls. He comes over and says, Girls, this isn t the beach. This shows that the
manager strongly feels that the girls are dressed inappropriately because of how he yelled at
them in front of the whole store. Queenie s blush is no sunburn now, and the plump one in plaid,
that I liked better from the back a really sweet can pipes up, We weren t doing any shopping. We
just came in for the one thing. This quote shows that the girls are clearly embarrassed and that the
manager done them dirty. My next quote shows that he sticks up for what he believes in The girls,
and who d blame them, are in a hurry to get out, so I say I quit to Lengel quick enough for them to
hear, hoping they ll stop and watch me, their unsuspected hero. . The clerk tells his manager that he

Dr. Chriss Warren Foster Argument What is Critique? An Essay on Foucault s Virtue is the article
that Judith Butler reads and analyzes the ideas of Foucault s in the article, What is Critique?
Foucault wants to express his ideas that critique is a repetition of power, which would deliver the

  • 4. Monte Cristo History The Count of Monte Cristo is a movie based off of the book written by Alexandre Dumas and directed by Kevin Reynolds. The movie is not entirely historically accurate and was written mostly for entertainment purposes. There are various events throughout the movie that include historical references, however it is a very minor aspect of the movie. The historical references in the movie do not intend to create a real story as a history textbook would. They are there to add an interesting finesse to the story without straying away from the main plot. One of these major historical references is Napoleon exile to Elba, and his attempt to come back to power in France. The filmis 131 minutes and came out in 2002. The movie begins on the Island of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was never created to follow an exact event in the past, but was more created as a fictional plot with historical aspects to it. Many would criticize the movie because of its lack of accurately portraying the time period and following historical events, however I believe that it did a good job of throwing in historical sites throughout the movie. The movie also has references to common problems that everyday people face, regardless of the time they are from or where they live. For example, Fernand Montego played by Guy Pearce is a jealous best friend who purposely sabotages Edmond and gets him thrown into prison. This is all just so he could get his girl and feel better about himself. This problem is very similar to problems people deal with every day. People are constantly caught up in jealousy, which causes them to do horrible things such as betraying their lifetime best friend. Another major theme in the story that is seen in every day life is revenge. Edmond gets so caught up in giving all those that crossed him what they deserved that he nearly loses the woman he loves and his best friend. This is something that people get involved in all the time in todays world. We get so caught up in giving others what we think they deserve that we almost lose those who are closest to us. One minor thing that stood out to me ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The study confirmed that margin loans have a positive effect on the stock market and investors during periods of boom and the opposite during periods of economic downturn and further revealed that investors have little or no idea of the terms and conditions attached to margin loan contracts. The study therefore recommends that investors should be properly oriented on the terms and conditions of a margin loan contract before the extension of such facilities to them and that the CBN should restructure margin debts/interests and that toxic assets in the market should be bought by the FGN in order to restore sanity and stability in the Nigerian Capital Market. Tanzania is the right country to enter because of recent economic and urban development with a need for the product. Dr. Bronner s will have to be aware of the competitive rivalry and threat of substitutes in the industry to be successful. Also, the political, economical and social factors must be taken seriously before entering. However, an expansion into Tanzaniawould be the first movement into a country in Africa for the family owned business. There is great complexity in expanding into a new country, but certainly when it is a new continent. • 8. The Riddle Of Latin America Chapter Summary Cities and towns in Latin America capture the remnants of the past. They hold stories of the people that once inhabited such places and give a sense of lastingness. In chapter 6 of The Riddle of Latin America, Lane describes cities having divisions called barrios that were distinctively characterized by a mixture of people that advocated the colonial citylife. There was a mixture of indigenous people who were of lower class and African Americans who were the slaves of the elitist (113). The epitome of colonial city transcended a civilized life filled with educational units, theaters, buildings for legal systems, and, monumental churches religious causalities. Cities held a prestige, often times the capitals held the wealthiest and most elite (priests, people in power) of the population. Cities had around 100,000 citizens whereas towns were less dense. The elite lived in two story houses that were in close proximity to the plaza traza. Everything in the city was regulated: curfews, water supplies, even to what the people could wear in public. ... In Jonathan Swift s fictional novel, Gulliver s Travels, Lemuel Gulliver, is the narrator and protagonist who goes on four adventurous voyages. He is a practical minded Englishman trained as a surgeon who takes to the seas when his business fails. The details in his style of narration makes it clear that he is bright or intelligent, and well educated, but his insights are naГЇve and gullible. Throughout his journeys, Gulliver is a serious first person narrative that hardly shows any signs of self reflection or deep emotional response. Certainly, sometimes his obsession with the facts of navigation, becomes difficult to comprehend, as his fictional editor, Richard Sympson, makes it clear when he explains having had to cut out nearly half of Gulliver s repetition. • 10. Hometown Morning By Thomas Kinkade In 2000, Thomas Kinkade, the Painter of Light, created Hometown Morning, which is an oil painting on canvas. This painting is part of the Hometown Memories collection as he paints different scenes from his childhood growing up. Hometown Morning is a painting of a street in Placerville, California that is full of life. It is a small community with people walking down the sidewalk and everyone and everything just seems peaceful. Since the original has been sold, the last location of the paintingwas at The Thomas Kinkade Museum in Monterey, California. The use of melancholic colors are shown as it is a dim setting as the sun begins to rise over the city street. However, the only vibrant colorused throughout the piece is a bright gold yellowto illuminate the insides of the homes through the windows. Kinkade s use of complementary colors are visible throughout. Different shades of yellow and blue are seen as there is yellow in the sky and also blue on the street. There are more cold colors than warm colors since the setting is in the morning and during the winter after it has rained. The people are dressed in winter clothes and some even have scarves on. Kinkade uses directional line to direct our attention to what is going on as our eyes go down the street. There is not an actual diagonal line that makes the road smaller, but the use of grass and the sidewalks does the trick. Even though the advertisement was only thirty seconds long, the advertisement stuck with me because of the humorous line at the end of the commercial that caught my attention. Another marketing strategy used in the ad was using fear. The ad seemed to be designed to invoke a sense of fear into consumers that just knowing their credit score was not enough, and that Credit Sesame would be the perfect solution to subside those fears of the unknown. Additionally, Credit Sesame seems to be using the marketing strategy of repetition. With the commercial being only thirty seconds long, Credit Sesame can air the advertisement more often I have seen this commercial often on this channel and others. The advertisement was also slightly louder than the television show I was watching, which is a famously unpopular marketing strategy; however, the volume change was only apparent to me when I reviewed the ad a few times for this assignment. Finally, the advertisers used bright colors and graphics to make the television commercials eye catching. I do not own the product that the advertisement is promoting, but these marketing strategies have almost swayed me into checking out Credit Sesame. • 13. Pierre Simon Laplace s Theory Of Determinism Pierre Simon Laplace was a famous scientist born on March 23, 1749, in Normandy, France. He went through schooling and later enrolled at Caen University at the age of sixteen to study theology. His father had an expectation for him to have a career in the church, in those times when people attended the school Laplace attended, their usual job destinations were the church or army. Laplace went into neither of those, even those he was studying theology. While at the school he discovered his love for mathematics and discovered he had a talent in that field. Laplace made numerous contributions through his work. Besides his work on mathematical astronomy, he also studied planetary orbits. Laplace is famous for his discovery of what is famously known as Laplace s Demon, which is not an actual demon. Laplace s Demon was first known as Laplace s Intellect. His thought experiment was first discovered by him in 1814, which made it the first published work of determinism. Laplace s Demon, is basically the idea of determinism. It also explains the conceptual framework and conceptual map of the study.. 2.1 Concept of Women Entrepreneur Women or a group of women who initiate, organize and operates a business enterprise is defined as Women Entrepreneurs . The Government of India has defined women entrepreneurs as an enterprise owned and controlled by women having a minimum financial interest of 51 per cent of the capital and giving at least 51 per cent of the employment generated in the enterprise to women. Women Entrepreneur is a person who accepts challenging role to meet her personal needs and become economically independent (Meenu Goyal and Jai Prakash, 2011, pp. ). In India, these entrepreneurs are part of the larger sustainable development strategy employed by the policymakers. Evidence shows that Women entrepreneurship has already contributed to the economic growth across the world and women led enterprises are increasing in every country.. These enterprises also created a large number of job opportunities in their respective economies. Apart from this, these enterprises also created new business solutions for the pressing social problems.Further in whole enterprises scenario, number of enterprises owned by women is very less compared to men. He pioneered many important directions and developments in jazz in the 1950s and 1960s including hard bop, modal jazz and free jazz. Coltrane was also known for his virtuosic ability in improvising. He has such command over his instrument that many other players tried to imitate his sound on the tenor saxophone, though only a few could approach his technical mastery. His association with the Miles Davis quintet led to his first major breakthrough in their first album for the record label Columbia, Round About Midnight (1955). This particular album on which Coltrane was featured, indicates that he had indeed been influenced by the cool style of Miles Davis. The Tragedy Hecuba Which Was Written By Euripides Essay Kathleen: Our play was the tragedy Hecuba which was written by Euripides in 424 BC, 7 years after the beginning of the Peloponnesian and Archidamian War which was fought between Athens and Sparta. Euripides was an Athenian who was born around 485BC on the island of Salamis which is off the coast of Piraeus. He competed several times in Athens annual City Dionysia, which, as we know, was a dramatic festival held in honour of Dionysus. This means that the majority of his audience would have been Athenians, like himself. So, just a quick introduction to the play. The key characters are HECUBAwho was the Queen of Troy and wife of the Trojan King Priam, THE GHOST OF POLYDORUS who was the son of Hecuba and Priam, POLYXENA who was their daughter, POLYMESTOR who was the King of the Thrace and was also married to Priam s eldest daughter, ODYSSEUS, who as we know was a Greek Homeric hero and AGAMEMNON who was the Greek leader. The story takes place just after the Trojan Warwhile the Greeks are heading home. It begins with the GHOST OF POLYDORUS telling a story of how he was murdered by POLYMESTOR for treasure and his body was thrown into the sea. On their way home, the Greeks with their Trojan prisoners, including HECUBA and POLYXENA, anchor in the same place and must sacrifice Polyxena in order to placate the spirit of Achilles. After her daughter is sacrificed, Hecuba learns of POLYDORUS death, driving her to madness. She knew that POLYMESTOR was the guilty party and with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I m willing to bet that you have at least two of these devices in your home, too. Now, stop and think about how often we use technology devices throughout the day. As a result of the growing need for technological devices, we have become dependent on technology in the work place and school, for social media, and simple daily functions that we should be able to manage on our own. Many businesses have gone paperless and depend solely on computers for all their record keeping, schedules, payroll, and various other files; but what happens when the lights go off and the day must go on? Very few businesses still keep printed hardcopies for daily use. • 22. William Shakespeare s Antigone Olivia Seeney ENGL 330 Studies in World Literature 11/21/16 Hubris and Drama in Antigone Hubris may be categorized as two things. As a part of the Greek theater hubris qualifies as being the intentional use of violence to humiliate or degrade (Luebering). However, a more modern qualification defines hubris as exaggerated pride or self confidence (Hubris). Throughout Antigone both of these different characterizations of the word hubris can be found in specific events and characters. Being a Greek tragedy, it is evident that the concept of hubris plays a very important role in the development of characters and provides the reasoning for why each person does what they do. Much of the drama in this play is born from either excessive pride or from the unnecessary violence against sacred rituals or those who perform them. However, it is also possible to notice characters who fall outside of this hubris and rather choose to fight against it. By going against this traditional Greek dramatic element these characters highlight the injustices that are being displayed by those they are going against. Overall, the impact that hubris has had on this tragedy and on the culture as whole affects how each of the characters either use hubris to advance both themselves and their goals, or choose to fight against it for the good of those around them. The incorporation of hubris into Antigone can be visualized specifically by examining two characters in particular. The first character is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With this, I am curious about the risks for women having IVF/ICSI and how perilous it is to them since the process is not natural. I would also like to know what causes the risks and specifically the factors that increase them. As a nurse who had IVF education and practice and worked with such renowned IVF specialists such as Dr. Buckett, Dr. Holzer and Dr.Tan, I decided to conduct a synthesized evidence search on the systematic reviewso that I can help these patients to have more attentive care to prevent or minimize the possible risks of In Vitro Fertilization techniques that may potentially endanger them. In this synthesized, evidenced search, I wanted to learn whether IVF pregnancies are bound to greater precarious risks and whether there is the way to minimize possible risks by providing more antenatal care to the clients. • 25. A Comparison Of Sirens And The Little Mermaid Sirens and The Little Mermaid There is a universal ideology that suggests that each gender plays their specific, individualized roles in society: men acting as independent, powerful alpha males, and women being their dutiful submissives. Contemporary narratives depict women as such whereas mythology is rich with goddesses and other female figures who are brave and powerful warriors equal to men. So if mythology can be overflowed with stories about female leaders, how come contemporary narratives have derived from that viewpoint? Sirens in Greek Mythology are a perfect example of the derivation to the new idea of women in society: weak. By examining the myth of Sirens through a feminist critical lens, the question of whether society is concerned with the ways in which literature and other cultural productions reinforce or undermine the economic, political, social, and psychological oppression (Brizee Web) will be answered. The mythological legend of the Sirens highlights the superiority of these figures who could destroy by temptation through their melodic voices; modern interpretations of sirens as in Disney s The Little Mermaid (1989) reduce the feminine power of the siren to a contemporary stereotype of the powerless, dependent, subservient woman. Sirens in mythology are defined as beautiful, destructive creatures either half woman, half bird or half woman, half fish that obtain power by luring sailors to their deaths, causing their ships to crash on the reefs near ... • 29. Hydrogen Extraction Process For The Recovery Of Heavy Oil... Abstract Vapor extraction process for the recovery of heavy oil and bitumen was originally proposed by Dr. Butler during 1989 1991. Since its evolution, vapor extraction has emerged as a very effective and promising technique mainly due to its environment friendly nature and cost effectiveness as compared to other recovery techniques. Vapex is basically an in situ recovery process which injects a vaporized hydrocarbon solvent in the injection well to reduce the viscosity the heavy oil and bitumen and allows it to drain out of the production well through gravity drainage. Mass transfer of vaporized solvent to heavy oil and the gravity drainage are the key parameters which mainly determine the production rate of heavy oil and bitumen with reduced viscosity. This report provides a brief idea about the current heavy oil and bitumen deposits in Canada, a better insight of the Vapex process and the factors which affect the efficiency of the process. Several factors that scale up the performance of the process and important limitations are also indentified that need further research for future growth of the process. But there are elements in our world that all humans, no matter where or how they live depend on, water and air. Both are essential for life but air also protects all of us and it is therefore understandable that the response to the depletion of the ozone layer became international. This essay will look at what the ozone layer is, why it was depleting, how the international response to this situation developed and what this collaboration means for our future. The envelope of gases surrounding the earth is called the atmosphere and it serves three critical functions: it provides life giving oxygen, keeps the earth warm, and protects us from deadly ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. Most of the atmosphere consists of nitrogen and oxygen (See Figure 1). But these gases do not keep us warm or protect the earth from UV rays. For these functions you have to turn to some of the trace gases found in the atmosphere, commonly referred to as greenhouse gases. They are: water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, and nitrous oxide. However, all of these are based on the premise that Alpen can acquire enough customers within 2 years; otherwise, it will lose money. Nevertheless, there was a promising fact in the Romania market that those affluent customers were more likely to at least try Alpen s cards. Cooperative learning is basically having students learn with, by and for each other which is the major theme of Cooperative Learning. In this model, Student Team Learning (STL) states how there are three main concepts to focus on. The three are: teamrewards, individual accountability, and equal opportunities. In Cooperative Learning there are six major elements that take part. In this activity you need to explain to the students how working together is extremely important in team sports. Once all the equipment is out and scattered across the gym you will split your class into 4 groups and the students will make a goal of how many items they can collect and bring to the garbage cans. The challenge in this activity is for the students to figure out how to carry the equipment along with scrambling around on their scooter. Once all the equipment is picked up, the students can check who has the most items in the garage cans and whoever has the most wins. Once the first task is completed you can make variations. The Civil Rights Movement During The 1960 S The American South in the 1960 s and Ancient Thebes both had a rigid social and legal system that did not effectively and legitimately represent the majority of its citizens. In both eras, an antihero rose up to defy the establish system. Dr. King, in the 1960 s, protested unjust laws and was jailed and viewed as an antagonist. Similarly, in Ancient Thebes, Antigone is sentenced to death for doing what she believes is right, regardless of the law. If Dr. King failed, he stood to lose, in addition to his life, his reputation as someone who wanted true change for all African Americans. Furthermore, future generations of colored people would have to endure the same injustice that he was protesting against. Also, if his nonviolent ways failed there were people ready to take the civil rights movement in a violent direction. If Antigone s defiance had failed, her brother will never find peace in the afterlife, and Thebes will never find unity and solace after its civil war. Additionally, she too could lose her life for her outward defiance. Therefore, both Dr. King s nonviolent resistance, along with writing his letter from Birmingham Jail, and Antigone s violation of Kreon s edict are justified by what they stood to lose if they did not take their respective actions. (Ryerson, 2011, 35) Electron affinity is used in many cases First electron affinity in bromine 35, has 324 kJ mol 1, or 5.39. These values show us, that Bromine released energy, and became stable. Bromine would have had an exothermic reaction when the electronwas added to the valence shell. This is because, when non metals gain electrons, the delta energy is negative because they release energy to form an anion (exothermic process); thus, the electron affinity will be negative (Harwood, 2016). There are 28 shielding electrons in Bromine which mean that there more electron electron repulsion in Bromine than attraction within the nucleus. Moreover, Bromine only needs one more electron to become stable in its valence shell, since it is in the non metal group, it already has 7 electrons in its valence shell, and so that one electron would stabilize this element. Overall first electron affinity in Bromine would benefit the element in which it would stabilize and also allow energy to be released.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the assessment there were only two alternatives, purchasing the land was the first alternative and the second was to take no action (Vinkey, 2006). These both are fine as actions that can be taken; however, there are organizations that will procure land for conservation purposes. The Safari Club Foundation uses private donations and other procurements to promote conservation and game preserves (Safari, n. d.). The statement that a conservation easement or lease are not feasible alternatives (Vinkey, 2006) suggests a lack of options. This seems to be a bias on the part of the author. The no purchase option in the socio economic section had suggested that the economic use of the land be on assumption. Also that there were no figures to determine the economic impact; however, if assumptions were made to the economic use there should be at least theoretical figures to develop an economic impact. The tax revenue for the county is also assumed to stay the same; however, if the land was to be developed by a private citizen the value of the land would increase and in turn the tax levy (Brooks, 2006).
