When I first start on this module, I feel really odd about what exactly a social
enterprise is. In our daily life, there are tens of thousands businesses among us, but I
have never thought about what makes those business exits, what aims they are trying
to achieve and what kind of business they are. When thinking of social enterprise, I

Religion has never truly appeared in my life as something of higher importance.
Ever since I was little, my family dragged me to church in hopes I would
potentially get something out of it. It is prevalent that I never really retained

Cormac McCarthy s novel exemplifies the nature of power and corruption in a post
apocalyptic setting. Throughout the entirety of the novel, readers are witnessed to a
relationship between a man and boy displaying their encounters in a corrupt dystopia.

At twenty years old I see my life to be in a very rough patch. I find myself too busy
for my own good, filled with stress and anxiety provoking situations. I consider my
current state of mind numb . I am filled with depression and internal battles I know
I can t fight alone yet choose not to seek help from a higher being. In my life right
now I do not belong to a church. I may still participate in church events, but that s
because my local church relies on me to do their marketing, advertising, and event
planning. The congregation may still consider me part of the church, but I don t.
Growing up I attended church consistently with my mother and brother. Every
Sunday we would go to Sunday school for an hour then sit in service for another

traumatic experience. Normally, when an individual experiences trauma, the ANS is
stimulated leading to the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) being hyper aroused

fight or flight response. Sometimes, post traumatic experience, the ANS continues to
be sensitive. This leads to cognitive, physical, and emotional symptoms,
overreactivity of the stress response, and negative thoughts that intensify everything.
Consequently, recovery from this emotional and physiological arousal is difficult as
this arousal becomes overwhelming to the individual. In addition, the SNS and PNS
swap roles. The SNS and fight or flight response is triggered during non threatening
situations and the PNS becomes non responsive during threatening situations. The
authors suggest that the pharmacology of the Window of Tolerance (a model of
autonomic arousal) be used to change drug treatments for the better through aiding in

In George Eliot s Silas Marner there is no character who exemplifies the realism of
human nature more than Godfrey Cass. The very fabric of Godfrey s
characterization begs for analysis. Through Godfrey s actions, or lack of them, and
the resulting consequences of his decisions, Silas Marner becomes a novel that
draws a discussion of what good naturedness means in regards to action versus
passivity. Godfrey s passivity is the driving force of the novel and in true Eliot
fashion, it is his passivity that makes him neither a victim, nor a villain, but puts
him somewhere in between. Put forth as a fine, open faced, good natured young
man, Godfrey immediately contrasts his brother Dunstan, a spiteful jeering fellow,
who seemed to enjoy his drink the more when other people went dry (Eliot 23).
This automatically pits one against the other simply put, as good versus bad.
Dunstan mocks him for his nature, saying, I m so easy and good natured. You ll
take any trouble for me, essentially throwing Godfrey s most highly praised virtue
back in his face and further cementing their previous categorization (Eliot 25).
Godfrey is held in high esteem after this initial introduction. Furthermore, the
condition of Godfrey Cass is one of whom had felt the keen point of sorrow or
remorse and whom thanks to their native human kindness even riot could never
drive into brutality (Eliot 29). According to his condition, Godfrey has weathered
the conditions that have caused him sorrow and remorse, rather than having caused

1. Introduction
Clayton State University (CS) commenced its academic mission as a junior college
in 1969 to 942 students. Seventeen years later CSU transitioned into a four year
institution that now offers over 38 undergrad programs and eight graduate

I had the opportunity to not only observe but also contribute to the function and
operation of the technology department. I also learned a great deal of many skills
and lessons, yet used what I have learned in my academic journey and personal
experiences this far. The people I worked with added to the experience. I could
approach them with anything and they provided assistance. Also, their relaxed, cool,
calm, and collective mindset made this place a low stress, learning environment.
With what I learned and accomplished here, I hope it will bring me closer to my
