2. Periapical Lesion Essay
DISCUSSION
Many authors consider placement of an implant in a socket with periapical lesion as a
contraindication, but several studies which were conducted do not show any
significant difference compared to those with healthy sockets.
The disadvantage of the placement of implants into the sockets of teeth with
periapical lesions is the potential for implant contamination during the initial healing
period because of remnants of the infection.(8,13,162)Bacteroides species can inhabit
tooth periapical lesions while being encapsulated in a polysaccharide that promotes
its virulence, survival, and importance in mixed infections. Bacteroides forsythus has
been shown to persist in asymptomatic periradicular endodontic lesions and may
survive in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These positive results could be explained by various biological events occurring
during bone healing process, dependent on aspects such as primary stability of the
implant, the surgical technique, the prosthetic load and the associated inflammatory
response.(84)
Fugazzotto conducted the only study comparing implants immediately placed into
sites with periapical pathology with those immediately placed into sites without
periapical pathology in the same patient, it was observed that both treatments yielded
comparable results with no statistically significant difference in survival rates.(165)
Regarding the treatment protocol, appropriate clinical procedures to perform the
decontamination of the implant s site, such as antibiotic administration, meticulous
cleaning, and alveolar debridement, combined with GBR with or without bone
grafting, is suggested to create adequate conditions for bone regeneration and
osseointegration despite the previous contamination.(6,85,166)
The natural healing process after tooth extraction normally manages residual
infection, but as an infection increases inflammatory activity, infection may result in
increased bone resorption and a higher risk of implant stability loss and failure. The
presence of granulation tissue in the socket of an infected tooth must be considered as
an inflammatory response to bacteria. This reactive

When it comes to Timothy McVeigh, Ted Kaczynski, and Eric Rudolph they have
many similarities. First, they were all survivalist in some way. McVeigh was
looking for a lifestyle that was a survivalist type. Kaczynski lived in a small cabin
that had no electricity or running water. His yearly cost of survival was around
$400. Rudolph using his survivalist skills stayed on the run for five years before he
was caught. These three bombers also shared anti governmental views. These three

against his country and citizens? McVeigh out out violently against the government
because he felt that they were too controlling and he wanted to weaken it. He
wanted to start a revolution. His clothing was what explained his motives the most.
McVeigh viewed the government as tyrants and the people like himself as patriots.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
Communication refers to the process in which information is transmitted and
understood between two or more people. The word understood is emphasized
because the transmitting of the sender s meaning to other people is the essence of
good communication. In the model of communication, there are various channels and
barriers (noise) that can become the factors of communication effectiveness.

2.0 BARRIERS OF EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS IN AEC
Effective communication is a sharing process which involves the first party sending a
message that can be easily understood by to the second party.
However, there are some barriers that may influence the effectiveness of
communication which may result in misunderstanding or misinterpretation. In the
case study of AEC, William Todorovic has discovered several barriers to the effective
communication between the employees in the organization.
2.1 Imperfect Perception
There were different perceptions between the management and the floor staff. For
example, the floor staff thought that the management were unaware of the problems
at the floor and were too self centered that they only cared about their schedules,
issuing orders and making demands.
GSM 5101 Organizational Behaviour Page 5
As for the management, they thought that they did not have anything to learn from
floor employees. Such perception has made them hardly understand the real process
in finishing orders and this has created a gap between the management and the floor
staff.
2.2 Poor selection of medium to communicate
Choosing the right medium or channel for communication may affect the
effectiveness of the transmitted message
In AEC, the management has used memos to communicate with the shop floor
employees. This was in fact, a one way communication because after the memo was
sent out no further clarification was made by the
10. The Importance Of A Good Society Is Not Achieved By
Chance...
The quantitative analysis of the merit of a society is one very multifaceted and
complex task; however, one truth remains certain: a good society is not achieved by
chance or by default. Each and every successful society has succeeded because at a
certain point, members of the society acted collectively to create structure and
organization. Universities and institutions, transportation networks, and public
healthcare, are all structures that have been put in place to help individuals succeed
in various areas. From Travels of a T shirt in the Global Economy, it is evident that
without necessary trade, negotiations, and boundaries, the millions of T shirts
produced would not be able to flow across global communities, bringing alongside
them countless job opportunities, more effective governance systems, and enhanced
research and innovations. Clearly, one of the key aspects of a good functioning
society is the establishment of good and effective structures. While the best form of
that structure can be debated, the fact that a good society needs structure and
organization is a fixed and fundamental condition. In order for this structure to
provide a foundation of a good society, there are a few other conditions that must
follow among them are attentiveness to all members of the society, commitment to
universal values, and flexibility to change and adapt. In addition to structure, a good
society is one that works to help all members thrive, especially individuals at the

They had made fun of Josh s hair again. Is he always like that? Dylan asked

acted that way. Then again, Christina had worked there for six years, she was just

Barn Burning Critical Essay In William Faulkner s Barn Burning, the audience gets
a glimpse of the ongoing trouble between a son and his father. The son, Sarty, must
decide what is best for himself instead of standing up for his father s wrong choices.
The father, Abner, is a jealous, unforgiving, unapologetic, and disrespectful man.
However, Sarty overcomes the negative actions and rises against his family to do
what it truly right. The theme of this story is that the right thing is to always stand
up for the right thing. Doing the right thing is proof of coming of age, and
showing maturity. Since the beginning, Sarty knew his father wasn t treating
people fairly. Sarty states, Maybe he will feel it too. Maybe it will even change
him now from what maybe he couldn t help but be (Faulkner 20). The quote is
stated as Sarty and Abner make their way to the de Spain house. Sarty is hoping his
father had learned his lesson from ruining the rug and will do the right thing this
time around. Abner never learns his lesson and believes the men in the family
should act like him. Proving this statement, Abner says, You got to learn to stick to
your own blood (Faulkner 42). Although Abner believes Sarty is following in his
footsteps, Sarty is more mature than he is and hates doing the things his father
makes him do. For example, Abner expects Sarty to lie about his testimony. Sarty
states, He aims for me to lie ... And I will have to do hit (Faulkner 57). Sarty is not
the only one who knows his father is up to no good, Major de Spain also sees it.
Major de Spain explains, He aims for me to lie ... And I will have to do hit
(Faulkner 64). Although Major de Spain is not on Abner s side, Abner s family is.
Sarty s brother tries to stop Sarty from telling on Abner by yelling, Better tie him to
the bedpost (Faulkner 74)! Again, Sarty is very determined to do the right thing,
and save Major de Spain s barn by commenting to his own mother, Lemme go! ... I
don t want to have to hit you (Faulkner 87)! At the end of the story, Sarty eventually
goes against his family and walks into the woods away from everyone. This is a huge
symbol because it demonstrates Sarty

Introduction
In the current era of media is a step, a step towards innovation is very indispensable.
It marks an innovation in bringing human society to a new level, a civilized society,
development. That is a strong mark optimal development in all fields. This year is the
50th anniversary of Marshall McLuhan published learn about media. A statement
made by him that made many people to think that The medium is the message .
McLuhan clearly support the notion that media increases the desire and new

He said that media is an extension of the human body, it represents the development
so that we understood that the development is needed now, in order to adapt to

15. Theme Of Imagery In Chronicle Of A Death Foretold
What is in a name or how significant is a name? What if the ultimate fate depended
on our name. This idea is explored in the masterpiece Chronicle of a Death Foretold
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez where the use of Onomastics and symbology serves as a
pathway to the destiny of characters. They are an integral part of the novella and so
extravagant in their application that they bind characters to their ultimate fate. We see
this exemplified through the characters Santiago Nasar,Angela Vicario and Maria
Alejandria Cervantes.
Symbology behind Santiago Nasar s name connects him to his fate of being crucified
for the sins of the town.Santiago means saint. This conveys the holy nature of his
name. Nasar is associated with the great lord Jesus himself. ... Show more content on

Maria is a translation of Mary, or Mary Magdalene. Mary Magdalene is a prostitute
who becomes the follower of Jesus. Legends also portray her as the secret lover of
Jesus Christ. In the novella Santiago Nasar s sexual relationship with Maria
Alejandria Cervantes is well known. She had a higher affection and respect for him.
The affair between Nasar and Maria Cervantes symbolise the bond between Jesus
and Mary Magdalene. Her second name Alejandria is the feminine form of Alexander
which symbolises strength. She is depicted as woman of great strength in the novella.
This can be supported with the fact that even though she is the town whore she
garners a high mutual respect in the community especially by men. This is a
complete contradiction to the modern day society where prostitutes are not highly
respected. This occurs due to the fact that the community respects her profession and
values her role in the societal framework. Cervantes means servant which serves as
the evidence for her assigned gender role in the society where she is considered as
woman for masculine pleasure. She serves the men by fulfilling their sexual
expectations. This is made clear when the narrator states It was she who did away
with my generation s virginity (Marquez 64). This provides a concrete example of
her role in the community. Her name is quite justifiable to her fate since her name
actually symbolises

severe drinking problem. What about finding out that a fellow friend or family

after drinking! What if your child s life was abruptly ended because their friend
decided it was cool to drive after having a few beers. Well the fact of the matter is
drinking and Driving is one of the biggest killers of many young Americans these
days. What drives many people to drink and drive? Do they do because of the peer
pressure or maybe because they think it makes them look cool? More and more
young adults are start to drink at younger ages to help cope with issues that they
have in their young lives instead of dealing with their issues directly. Many people
do it to make them feel better about themselves, yet many do it to relieve to
pressure of the work day. Yet the biggest about of alcohol is being consumed by
people below the age of twenty one. Many are being influenced by peer pressure
and by the effects of those around them. Peer Pressure has the ability to work in two
ways; the positive effect which deters the young away and then the negative effect
which draws them in. In 1980 there was a significant study done to show the
conclusion of drunken driving penalties on many young adults and teenagers. Many
young drivers reported the top four reasons why they wouldn t drink and drive: 1.

18. Birth Defects Discrimination
The stigma and discrimination of living with severe birth defects
Birth defects are health problems that occurs when a baby is developing in uterus
(in the womb) of an individual (Healthline Editorial Team, 2017). This defect may
be caused by genetic disorders, problems with chromosomes, or environmental
factors; disorders such as mandibulo facial dysostosis, cleft palate and spina bifida.
The lives of people with severe birth defects conditions are often contributed by
stigma as well as discrimination. Stigma is a major cause of discrimination which
leads to rejections, being scorned and gossip at; isolated socially, bullied; and even
labelled. The book, Palacio, R.J Wonder, 2012 demonstrated the story of a boy
named August or Auggie Pullman, a ten year old boy living in Manhattan who was
born with severe birth defects (mandibulo facial dysostosis and a cleft palate)
which left him severely disfigured. It was difficult for him to make friends. He lives
with his parents, his older sister Via; and his dog Daisy. August was homeschooled
up until the fifth grade but his parents decided it was time for him attend a real
school. They enrolled him in Beecher Prep, a neighborhood private school. There
August (Auggie) was faced with many obstacles during the school year because of his
appearance. He dealt with many stigma and discrimination from both students and
parents.

In mainly everything, sports, class rooms, or work places you have a set of rules to
go by. In the accounting world, you must also follow a set of rules and standards. The
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or the International Financial
Reporting Standards (IFRS). Most countries around the world use IFRS while the
United States uses GAAP. International Financial Reporting Standardsand Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles do things differently. Each country s government
sets which principles the accountants will use. There are also organizations that have
been formed to help with all the confusion between countries. The organizations are
called Financial Accounting Standards Board(FASB) and International Accounting
Standards Board (IASB). FASB is the organization that has been designed by the
US government to establish GAAP in the United States. IASB is the international
organization developing and promoting accounting standards to be used throughout
the world. GAAP and IFRS are both accounting principles but also have different
regulations. The main difference is historical values for assets and liabilities and
current or market values. GAAP looks at the historical value while IFRS looks at
current or market values. US accountants are conservative and always look at the
historical value. Accountants using IFRS would look at the value of the land or
house if it increased, even if it is not sold, while GAAP would not look at the

work of art or an event. The poem The Lake Isle of Innisfree by W.B. Yeats is a
fantastic example of an ekphrastic poem. The mood of this poem is quite relaxing

22. How To Build A Golf Cart
If you own a golf cart, or are thinking about purchasing one, you want to get the
most out of your investment. Adding some useful accessories is a super way to
accomplish that objective. Here are four handy items you can add to your golf cart to
increase its usefulness.
Covers and Enclosures
No matter how often you use your golf cart, you want to keep it good condition. An
excellent way to ensure your cart stays looking like new is to add either a functional
enclosure, or a custom cover. The enclosure does more than just preserve your cart s
condition. Enclosures allow you to use your cart in all weather conditions, plus they
protect the inside of your golf cart.
Covers will completely protect your golf cart when you re not using it. Just
because you add an enclosure, that doesn t mean a cover is also not a good
accessory to have. A golf cart cover is a protective blanket over your entire cart. It
keeps dirt, grime and weather off your investment. Consider both an enclosure to
increase the usability of your golf cart, plus a full cover ... Show more content on

be essential if your out driving around on a hot, humid, rainy day. There are also
heated golf cart seat covers to keep you bottom warm when the temperatures drop.
Lights, Signals and a Horn
These accessories are group together, because they will be critical if you want to use
your golf cart for more than just transportation around the links. Each of these items
is essential to drive your cart in any situation where there are other vehicles or
pedestrians. Beyond just being legal requirements, they help to keep the driver, riders

23. Reflective Essay On Waitressing
Serving is just like any skill you learn in life; it takes awhile to become prosperous
and you have to overcome many difficulties. Waitressing can be a very tedious job,
yet has its rewards. Just like any profession, there are many controlled and
uncontrolled factors that determine how successful you are. Unlike other careers,
servers have to deal with a lot of things they can t control. Uncontrollable factors are
mere problematic and you will have to adapt in order to overcome them. Some
unregulated factors I have faced throughout my serving career include, unstable
management, uncanny customers, and an unthinkable amount of stress. Just like
any workplace, you have to deal with the management. The managers at Steak N
Shake changed every month I was there, which made it unimaginable to establish a
stable working pattern. Big Mike, the manager who interviewed me, was only
there for the first month I was employed then he transferred and was replaced with
Jenna. I came in early one day and told Jenna that I couldn t work Monday or
Tuesday. Somehow, when I got the schedule for next week, the only days I was
scheduled to work were Monday and Tuesday. She didn t last long, and the process
repeated itself again. To work in a restaurant, you have to have a very flexible
schedule. Shifts change and people drop and pick them up very often. If a coworker
takes your shift for some reason, you basically owe them one and can count on them
asking you to repay the favor later on.
24. Confirmation Research Paper
There are many things to consider when preparing for Confirmation. Getting
confirmed is not an easy thing to do, and it should definitely not be something that
you do without equipping yourself beforehand. When you are a child, your parents
make the decision of entering you into the church. They also may have forced you to
go to mass every Sunday to receive the gift of the Eucharist. After you have been
Confirmed, it is no longer up to your parents to make those decisions for you. It is
also, vital for you to surround yourself with good role models that want the best for
you. You must have someone, other than your parents, to rely on when times get
tough. You should also have a good patron saint to model your life after.
Additionally, you should be reading scripture, to remind yourself of the word of
God. These may seem like small things to think about before you get Confirmed.
However, these actions play a crucial role in keeping your relationship with God
healthy. Baptismis the first sacrament that you receive. It washes away the original

Everytime we take Eucharist we witness transubstantiation, or the bread turning into
body and the wine turning into the blood of Christ. This is important to me because,
everytime I take the body and blood, I am reminded of the sacrifices Jesus made for
us. I also am reunited with God and Jesus. Equally as important as receiving the
Eucharist is going to Mass every Sunday. Attending Church is not only one of the
ten Commandments, but it is a sacred time of the week. It is time that you should
thank God for all that he has given you, and reflect on parts of your week that you
could have improved on. I take Church very seriously because I understand God
dedicates 24 hours a week to me, so the least I can do is thank him for his
25. Literary Naturalism And The Open Boat
Literary naturalism was a movement that began in the late 1800s to the mid 1900s
that used detailed realism to show the readers that the human character is shaped by
many things that are outside of human control. This movement tried to depict
everyday reality where the characters would receive symbolic, idealistic, or
supernatural treatment. Literary realism was a prominent movement in the mid
1800s in Europe, and naturalismwas derived from this movement; the writers were
influenced largely by Darwin s theories on evolution. Many writers believed that a
person s character was determined by social status and heredity, and they try to
determine any and all underlying forces that may influence the characters actions.
Naturalist writers often write about taboo subjects, such as sexuality, but also many
other subjects, such as Theodore Dreisers Sister Carrie, which is about a young
country girl who moves to the big city to follow her dream of making it big. Stephen
Cranes The Open Boat is another example. His story is an autobiographical story
about how he and three crew members survived a shipwreck. Other subjects often
written about by naturalists are poverty, racism, violence, prejudice, disease,
corruption, prostitution, and filth. Due to the topic they wrote about, critics often
targeted naturalist writers for focusing too much on the darker side of human life.
Literary naturalism is where the effect the environment has on the human characters
is emphasized. The

27. Chemiluminescence Lab Report
Chemiluminescence is a reaction well known to those who enjoy crime scene
shows. Luminol is first synthesized in the experiment. Then, the crude luminol
produced is oxidized to release photons giving off a light blue glow in a dark room.
In a crime scene show, the blood acts as a catalyst aiding in the oxidation of luminol
and hydrogen peroxide resulting in the blue glow 1.
Introduction:
As seen on any crime scene investigation show, such as CSI Miami, traces of
cleaned up blood left behind can been seen with the spray of a chemical called
luminol. When applied on an area, it lights up where blood has been due to a
chemical reaction. Chemiluminescence it is also found in the insect called fireflies 2.

If the amounts of luminol produced would be much less if the amounts of NaOH
and acetic acid were changed. This is due to less acetic acid being able to form the
precipitate or the crude luminol.
3.In the luminol synthesis reaction, why was cold water used for rinsing the filtration
step? How would the efficiency of the filtration be affected by hot water used instead?
Cold water was used because it does not dissolve solids as readily as hot water does.
Using hot water in the filtration step would result in some of the crude luminol
being dissolved. This would be less efficient since product is being removed and
would give less of a product yield.
4.When isolating the solid through precipitate and vacuum filtration, why was the
solid not rinsed with a solvent like ethyl acetate or dichloromethane?
Water is used because it is not an organic solvent. Ethyl acetate and dichloromethane
are both organic solvents and would dissolve the crude luminol product. This like
adding hot water would reduce the yield of the product and reduce efficiency.
5.What is the difference between chemiluminescence and fluorescence? Where does
the energy for light emissions come from in each

The Mayor of Casterbridge
1.Discuss the ways in which Hardy has raised awareness of social issues in the
readers of The Mayor of Casterbridge.
The Mayor of Casterbridge written by Thomas Hardy in 1884/85 reflects upon the
Progression of Modernism during the first half of the 19th century English society
that was progressing in a difficult transition from a pre industrial Britain to modern
Victorian times. Much of the action and plot in Hardy s novel The Mayor of
Casterbridge takes place during the years surrounding 1846. These were the years in
which traditionalists took their last stand before being defeated in the name of
progress. Hardy undoubtedly and repeatedly illustrates in his novel the problems of

Now, I shall twitch like a moment hand all night long to night for fear o him !
Farfrae however, takes a more contemporary approach by instilling respect in the
employee by justice.
I don t care what Mr. Henchard said, nor anybody else! Tis simple foolishness to do
this. Go and dress yourself instantly, Whittle.
Farfrae resolved the issue efficiently and with justice, which is illustrative of his
modern attitude toward an employee reprimand. The contrasting views on business
ethics held by Henchard and Farfrae are illustrative of the contrasts between tradition
and modernization.
Another obvious social issue that runs through the books is the question of
superiority and dominance. Henchard starting of as a simple yet ambitious man
climbs the hierarchal pyramid of society into a potion as the Mayor of Casterbridge.
But when his time has come to step down from the seat of power and dominance he
is unwilling to come to terms with it and step down from the position and let Farfrae
take over.
29. The Importance of Latin in the Curriculum Essay examples
The Importance of Latin in the Curriculum
My memories of Latin in high school are less than fond. I remember slouching in
my chair, staring blankly at my desk as I tried to remember the form of the word
agricola (farmer) in the ablative plural. Much of the class consisted of mundane
activities like this. We translated endless Bible passages from Latin, translated what
seemed like the entire body of Greek mythological literature, and read hundreds of
lines from The Aneid, The Odyssey, and The Iliad. I signed up for Latin because I
was considering going into medicine, and I had heard that doctors need to know
Latin. As high school progressed, though, a medical career seemed less and less
likely so it appeared I had no real use ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Until the Reformation, church services were conducted using only Latin. One of the
key principles of the Protestant movement was that the entire Christian message,
Scripture included, should be made accessible to the common folk in their own
tongue (Hammond 243 4). The Catholic Church also began to use the vernacular for
its homilies during the Counter Reformation for similar reasons (Smith 32).
The switch from Latin to the common tongues did not occur overnight, though. In
fact, the Catholic Church mandated that Mass be spoken only in Latin until the
bishops of the second Vatican Council voted to make the switch in 1962 (Waquet
47). For hundreds of years it remained a key part of the education from middle school
to college of those students that were fortunate enough to get one. Latin was taught
so that students could read ancient religious, philosophical, and dramatic texts in their
original language (Smith 27). By reading these texts in their original tongue, students
would gain the key to the superior wisdom of the Ancient World and to the piety of
the Christian Fathers (Smith 27 8). When these privileged students entered college
before the decline of Latin, they entered a deeply Latin world. Upon entering the
building, they would see Collegium inscribed above the door, their classrooms would
be labeled sexta, quinta, quarta, and the teacher would lecture in Latin. In fact,
students were required to converse only in Latin during free

this stage begin to encounter thoughts and worries that start revolving around their

set of lifestyle is still not prepared enough to conquer the world on its own. New
experiences and changes take over and students entering the college life start to
experience different sorts of stress due to many situations that are occurring in their
lives. There have been many debates about what stress really means. Many wonder
if the stress is caused by an emotion one feels or if it is a physical symptom that
occurs within our body. In reality, there is no right or wrong answer. According to
Insel and Roth (2010), authors of the textbook titled Core Concepts in Health state
that stress is the general physical and emotional state that accompanies the stress
response (p.34) and a stressor refers to any physical or psychological event that
produces physical and emotional reactions (p.34) College students face a variety of
stress responses. Some common stresses that most college students face is feeling
pressured with their academic performance, adjusting to college life, dealing with
new friends and relationships, being away from home, and most importantly adapting
to a new lifestyle. Walking to a college campus and hearing these three words I am

equivalent to its evidence of ownership. The author seeks to differentiate these two

In the case of Evangelista v. Santiago[ G.R. No. 157447, April 29, 2005.] it has been
held that ownership is the right of an owner or the extent of his interest, by which
means he can maintain control and, as a rule, assert a right to exclusive possession
and enjoyment of the property .
In the case of the United States v. Lim Chingco,[ G.R. No. L 5482, January 15,

a man holds or exercises by himself or by another who keeps or exercises it in his

Introduction 400 According to the Oxford dictionary, outer space is defined to be
the physical universe beyond the atmosphere of earth (Oxford, 2017). Space travel
specifically long term assignments can be difficult due to the extreme
environment consisting of a hard vacuum, high levels of radiation and
microgravity being hazardous to the health and wellbeing of the crew. The
controversary regarding space travel is regarding the adverse effects on the
individuals health. As humans are not able to properly adapt physically and
biologically to space, a series of extensive training must take place before space
travel is allowed. Overall the training period for an astronaut is approximately 18
months or longer depending on experience. There are variety of procedures
astronauts must go through such as using the Space Vehicle Mock Up Facility
which gives a simulation of how they will be operating the space shuttle and how
they will move about, the KC 35 which provides them with roughly 20 seconds of

Corporation s coal division sources, blends, and transports metallurgical coal,
which is used to make steel, and steam coal from several basins across the country.
Norfolk Southern transports coal from mines to domestic and international

reveals a decline in many solvency, liquidity, and profitability measures from 2014
to 2015. Income may have decreased due to the decline in demand for metallurgical

responsible for the decrease in demand for coal (Earnings Preview). Consequently,
there were fewer shipments, or sales. In addition, the decline in oil prices may have

41. External Conflict In Othello
IN HIS PLAY OTHELLO, SHAKESPEARE EXPLORES HOW CONFLICT CAN
IMPACT NEGATIVLEY ON PEOPLES LIFE. DISCUCSS THIS STATEMENT?
Shakespeare s Othello is a play dependably based on marital, internal and physical
conflict and how it can negatively impact people s lives. Upon closer inspection, the
conflict that exists throughout this play becomes clear that the conflict is the sole
start for the destruction that occurs during the play. Throughout Othello, each
character incites his own jealousy in one another to gain what they crave most;
power. conflict becomes a prominent aspect of tragedy.
internal conflict has the capacity to destruct the true morals of each character.
Conflict stems from Iago s own craving of what others have and what he lacks.
Internal conflict is demonstrated through Iago s emotion of jealousy. as Iago
speaks to Roderigo about the moor, his sense of internal conflict is through
Desdemona and Othello s marriage. For example, his quote, Despise me if I do
not. Three great ones of the city in personal suit to make me his lieutenant off
capped to him I am worth no worse a place . Acts to be a metaphor, emphasising his
conflicted state of mind. Iago believes he deserves the position of lieutenant but
Othello has a different opinion. This clearly shows Iago s hate for Othello because
he is a man of power, something Iago desires. Due to Iago s jealousy Othello finds
himself in the middle of Iago s plots causing a negative impact on Othello s life.
This also impacts each related characters life as Iago is devious and back stabbing
towards Othello. Due to Iago, conflict is shown to negatively dominate in people s
lives.
Conflict is the main theme Shakespeare explores in this play. Brabantio, Othello s
father in law finds himself the root cause to many complications in Othello and
Desdemona s marriage. This is marital conflict due to Brabantio causing issues

42. The Incarceration Levels Of The United States
The United States (US) incarcerates its citizens at the highest rate in the world, 707
US citizens per 100,000 are incarcerated, a rate 5 10 times higher than other
western democracies (National Research Council, 2014). From the 1930s to the
1970s the number of incarcerated citizens in the US remained relatively stable,
161 citizens per 100,00 were incarcerated in 1972 (Hindelang, 1977). However
since the 1970s the population of America s prison system has increased by 700%
(ACLU, 2011), and there are now currently over 2.2 million incarcerated
Americans. Because of this rapid increase to an unprecedented level US
incarceration levels have been widely discussed across academic literature. Not
only are current US incarceration levels internationally unique and unprecedented,
they are unique and unprecedented within the history of the US itself. This makes
the US incarceration levels best suited to a single case analysis, as there is a high
level of internal historical change to compare across. It is widely accepted that the
rise in US incarceration levels are due to the war on drugs tough on crime law
enforcement strategies introduced in the 1970s to combat illegal drug activity.
However, there are differing theories as to how these historic policies continue to
impact incarceration levels today. In this essay I will argue that the war on drugs is
one of many mechanisms employed to continually discriminate against the black
minority in America. I will analyse
43. Vulnerability Assessment ( Va )
1.Introduction
Security is a standout amongst the most difficult and complex issue in Information
Technology (IT) today. Security causes millions of dollars loss to the different
organizations every year. Even if 99% of all assaults result from known
vulnerabilities and flawed misconfigurations, an answer is most certainly not direct.
With a crowd of networks, operating system and application related vulnerabilities,
security specialists are getting the opportunity to be logically aware of the need to
review and direct potential security dangers on their network and systems. This
requires a more effective and insightful way to deal with sustaining the project.
Vulnerability Assessment (VA) is the procedure of identifying, quantifying, measuring
and organizing dangers connected with system and host based network to reduce its
risk to the system. Vulnerability Assessment (VA) tools permit customization of
security strategy, computerized examination of vulnerabilities, and formation of
reports that helps to discover security vulnerability.
Network around the world is connected through various hardware and application.
Different types of connections are used to connect network around the world. Many
organizations and companies are using different types of network connected to the
internet to flourish their business related activities. Network is mainly categorized
into three forms: LAN, MAN and WAN. All these network are connected together to
make an entire huge network around
45. An Voluntary Control Over More Automatic Brain Systems
Pedretti, Pendleton Schultz Krohn (2006) define attention as being this voluntary
control over more automatic brain systems to effectively select and manipulate
sensory or stored information briefly or for sustained periods. One component of
attention is this term sustained attention , which is the ability to consistently engage
in an activity over time without loosing concentration (Willard Spackman, 2014).
Willard Spackman express that repetitive and predictable activities place less
demands on sustained attention. Attention process training (APT) is a computerized
training program that provides practice in five types of attention: focused,
sustained, selective, alternating and divided (Park, Proulx Towers, 1999). Several
research studies have concluded that specific components of attention need specific
training and that with sufficient training it is possible to improve aspects of
attention and other cognitive functions (Park et al, 1999; Sohlberg, McLaughlin,
Pavese, Heidrich Posner, 2000). Before each task is completed, the requirements
are briefly explained and usually take between 2 3 minutes to complete. A low level
evidence ... by Park et al (1999) concluded that the APT program improved the
functioning of specific cognitive processes underlying attention but not general
cognitive functioning. The APT program was designed to last for 40 hours with an
average of 20 sessions. If the participant were to make three or more errors these
tasks were repeated
46. Similarities in the Artwork of Mesopotamia, Ancient
Egypt,...
The artworks of Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, the Aegean cultures, and Ancient
Greece have similarities that not only reflect objects and images, but also the media,
style and representation. These countries were not always wealthy, clever, creative
and powerful enough to gain supplies, but they all find a way to create art with what
they had. They have all influenced on each other s cultures and belief through their
artistic values and ways, ranging from the materials and tools they use, position and
representation of their monuments and their religious intent. Mesopotamias first
invention was a form of writing called cuneiform which was written on clay tablets
with a sharp reed called a stylus. This permitted for recording events and... Show

Most Greek figures were influenced by animals and were occasionally created
using different animal body parts. The Egyptians were further involved in creating
countless monumental sculptures of their pharaohs and queens. Other than
limestone the Egyptians also used painted wood and sandstone and later used gold
and bronze to strengthen their sculptures, while Greeks would use marble and
bronze. The difference in religious beliefs between the two time periods is the
major difference because Egyptians had a very solid belief in the after life and
helping their dead find a better life after death whereas the Greeks lacked such belief.
Ancient Greece borrowed various of their concepts from the Egyptians and
Mesopotamians to improve their individual and independent artistic identity through
painting, sculpture, and architecture. Much of the artwork was government
supported and available for public viewing in the cities. The Greeks were also
involved in contributing to the beginning of medicine and astronomy and their
perception of balance and proportion of form. The Greek government was minor and
had several cities and states that were independent. This was different from Egyptian
politics because it had a more conservative style.
The Greeks were similar to the Egyptians in that both had restricted room for farming
and made used of the columns. Even though the Greeks pick up the idea from the
Egyptians,

Protecting Children from Exposure to Violence in the Media
Children and adolescents in the United States are exposed to violence in increasing
numbers each year. This may seem like an obvious statement, but consider the
following: The average child watches 21 to 23 hours of TV per week. This means
that by the time this child reaches age 70, he will have spent 7 to 10 years in front of
the television. And with regular Saturday morning children s television containing
about 20 to 25 acts of violence per hour, it is no wonder the average person has
viewed around 200,000 acts of violence by the time he reaches 18 years of age. And
while tragedies such as Columbine cannot be explained simply by blaming media
violence, it currently appears ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, in a market economy, money talks, so it is the parents that must take the
biggest role by being the watchdogs over what their children view on TV. If there is
no interest in violent programming, the industry will change its focus. Just as good
nutrition habits begin in the early years, so do media habits. So, here are some
helpful hints to make your child more media savvy.
Avoid television for children under two years of age. Current research on early brain
development suggests that babies and toddlers have a critical need for direct
interaction with parents and other caregivers in order to allow for appropriate
development of social, cognitive, and emotional skills.
Set limits and be actively involved. The first step is to know what your children are
watching and encourage them to ask questions. Children develop attitudes about
violence at a very young age, and these tend to last. By challenging your child with
questions about how they feel about what they watch, you might be surprised at their
enthusiasm of having a dialogue with you about the programming. Choose TV
watching times in advance. This helps set limits on the endless viewing. In addition,
it takes away the parental temptation to use the TV as a baby sitter.
Keep the TV, VCR, video games and computers out of the child s room. If the parent
can see what is going on, she can become actively involved in helping to

Remember The Titans Coach Yoast:
In the movie Remember the Titans by Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman, there
are two main coaches that are involved with a mixed race football team from T. C.
Williams High School. In the start of the movie Coach Yoast was a happy man
coaching a good team. Then came along a black coach called Coach boon and took
his job. There were some arguments throughout the movie and then Coach Yoast had
to accept he was going to have to work with this man.
In the movie Remember the Titans by Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman, there are
two main coaches that are involved with a mixed race football team from T. C.
Williams High School. In the start of my essay I will be talking about when these
two coaches meet. Then I will talk about how one coach loses his job and the other
takes over. In the 3rd paragraph I will talk about how those two work together. Then
in my final paragraph I will talk about the championship game.
When these two first met, Coach Yoast didn t know that he was going to lose his
job to coach Boone. The school board may have put you on my team, but I did not
hire you this is what coach Yoast first says to Boone. This shows that even though
Coach Boone will be working alongside him, Yoast didn t choose for him to be on his

Before the game Coach Boone is telling the team how even if they lose they will
still be champions. Coach Yoast also says I hope you boys have learned as much
from me this year as I ve learned from you. You ve taught this city how to trust the
soul of a man rather than the look of him. And I guess it s about time I joined the

have taught him stuff even though he is the coach. They have showed him that you
should always follow someone s personality, not how good or bad they look on the
49. Literature Review On Teenage Depression
A study of national trends in depression among adolescents and young adults
published in the journal pediatrics on November 14 found that teen depression
jumped from 8.7% in 2005 to 11.5% in 2014 thats a 37 percent increase so in this
report i will be talking about the study that was conducted by the AAP news and
journal gateways and the article i found it on was times health.
Despite the rise in teen depression the study which analyzed data from the national
surveys on drug use and health reported that there really isn t mental health
treatment for adolescents and young adults but there is a growing number of young
people who go un treated or under treated and for those who did get help, treatment
tended to be really intense often involving specialized care or prescribed medication.
According to the department of health and human resources more than 3 million
adolescents aged 12 17 reported at least one major depressive episode in the past year
and more than two million reported to have severe depression that messed up their
daily functioning or in other words it affected their schedules.
Anxiety and Depression are affecting kids behavior and their ability to learn which
can lead to dropping out or being home schooled, a woman named Ellen Chance is
working to get more counselors trained to be able to identify mental health disorders
but it wont be easy because thats going to be a lot of kids to check individually and
check them to see if they have any mental illness which
50. Social Security Problem In America
Many Americans believe that the social security program will face a crisis in this
century because of funds running out. The fear of the people is that he government s
funds will be bankrupt when those people try to retire. Already a quarter of most
Americans believe that they will receive no benefits from social security; what can
we do about the social security problem? The reason that the problem is occurring
is because of pay as you go financing, demographic changes, the adoption of wage
indexing of the benefit formula in the 1970s. Due to the baby boomer generation,
there are more americans retiring than ever. The younger generation has to pay for
the older people retiring, but the problem is that there are less young people entering

Emile Durkheim defined suicide as any death which is the immediate or eventual
result of a positive or negative act accomplished by the victim himself (Emile
Durkheim s Four Types of Suicide, 2014). Emile Durkheim began his studies on
suicide in 1897. He thought that economic, religious, and military factors would
greatly influence his findings. After he concluded his study he found that there were
four different types of suicide. The first type of suicide is Egoistic suicide. This type
of suicide occurs when the degree of social interaction a person has is low. ... Show

An example of this could be when the market crashes or spikes (Emile Durkheim s
Four Types of Suicide, 2014). The last type of suicide is Fatalistic suicide. People
generally commit this type of suicide are people whose lives are kept under tight
regulation. These people often live their lives under extreme rules. These types of
people are left feeling like they have no sense of self (Emile Durkheim s Four Types
of Suicide, 2014) .
Every year there are at least 20,000 firearm suicides in the United States. That s
more than 50 every single day. That s more than half of all suicides and two thirds
of firearm deaths. Research has shown that guns in the home make suicide three
times more likely. There are many reasons why the presence of a firearm in the
home can t be a risk factor for suicide. Having a firearm in the house provides
impulsivity for suicide at times. Also, firms are also so much more lethal than any
other method. Most people who survived a suicide attempt do not go on to die by
suicide, but only one in 10 people who attempt suicide by gun get that second chance
(Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence).
Typically, firearms are divided into two categories, there are handguns and long
guns. Handguns are firearms such as pistols that are designed to be held and fired
with one hand. The most common types of handguns are single shot handguns,
revolvers, and semiautomatics (Saferstein, 2016, p. 192 193). All handguns can be
classified as either single action or
