Essay on Revolutionary Causes
A number of issues raised tensions between the colonies and Great Britain. The already tense
atmosphere was pushed even further with a number of taxes, acts and proclamations passed by Britain.
These numerous acts usually dealt with taxes and other issues that came into conflict with the
independent nature of the American colonists. No one issue was solely responsible for the eventual
American Revolution. Though all of these added together raised the resentment to a boiling point and
all contributed to the revolution. The harsh frontier life led to the independent and often stubborn
nature of the American Colonists. This development of this unique colonial personality conflicted
drastically with the norms of the British Empire. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their fear led to more racial violence against the Native population. This conflict lasted from 1763
until a truce was at last finalized in 1766.
Britain instituted the Proclamation of 1763 in response to the Native American threat and the racial
tensions that permeated the colonial frontier. This proclamation attempted to appease and reassure the
natives who feared colonial expansion. The Proclamation of 1763 formed four additional colonies and
closed the frontier to further expansion. The colonies formed were Quebec, East and West Florida and
Grenada. The frontier was closed to settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. An Indian reserve
was set aside west of the Appalachian Mountains and the natives were placed under protection of the
king. This act required settlers in the banned area to abandon their farms and land. British troops were
sent to enforce the Proclamation, as the crown had no faith that the colonist would obey. The colonists
were enraged by the Proclamation. The colonists had supported the French Indian War fully expecting
to receive more frontier land as the prize of war. The Proclamation seemed to steal the valuable land
from them, as the colonists saw the situation. Most colonists had no respect for the native tribes and
did not believe that the native tribes had any claim to the land and resented Britain handing over
valuable land to the natives. The colonists also

Final Exam Research Paper
Final Exam Essay
Writing is one of the most difficult subjects I have taken on this spring semester. Being able to identify
the different types of essays as well as putting my skills together to write them is the most difficult to
me. Although I have learned from the negative and positive feedback, I still feel there is a huge area
that needs improvement. Starting this out I didn t quite know what to expect or what level my writing
skills were at. I will most definitely be able to use what I ve learned for my future education as well as
my future career. Intellectually I know I had a smart, compassionate instructor that just wanted to
absolute best for me in this aspect.
The beginning of my struggles with writing was back in seventh grade, I remember staying after
school 3 out of 5 days a week for tutorials. I struggled with it all the way until my junior year in high
school whenever I came across my English teacher who was once a college professor. It was a daily
struggle and even then I remember staying after school 3 out of the 5 days for tutorials. After seeing
my skills improve every day, I knew all I needed was extra coaching and practice. If I would have
continued taking English courses throughout my education I feel ... Show more content on

Getting into RN school is one of my dreams and goals I have held for years. I understand research
papers as well as English are a big part of getting your bachelor s degree. Not only will I be able to
identify the types of essays, but also I will be able to research true information verses false. I never
knew how to tell what information was true and false on different websites. Knowing there are several
resources available to me is what makes it even better. Taking this feedback and applying it towards
my education from here on out can benefit me in ways most people wouldn t even believe. I will be
able to sufficiently write my research paper on a college

Reflection Paper On Jerseys
I have met many NFL players when I went to summer camp at Mount Vernon Presbyterian school. I
am telling you about when I got a jersey signed by Prince Amukamara. It was a nice summer day at
New Era football camp.Where many players like Thomas, Vic Beasley, Ray Rice, AJ, and of course
Prince train and play with kids.Every morning you would walk down the stairs and wait on the field
until the players were ready.Today they announced that New York Giants cornerback Prince
Amukamara has come with 5 blue and white authentic NFL jerseys that were signed and ready to give
away.I am a Giants fan and I really wanted to meet Prince Amukamara. Every day you would get
different schedules based on your age.I examined the schedule that the Atlanta Falcons outside
linebacker Vic Beasley gave me. I realized that Prince Amukamara was my last station.I wondered if
he would still have any jerseys towards the end of the day. They told us to stand in lines based on our
age.I was excited to go to the first station because it was running back drills with Ray Rice. Ray plays
for the Baltimore Ravens and went to Rutgers University. When I registered for this camp I got to pick
a hat of any NFL team.Of course, I chose the Giants, but I decided to get it signed by any player, not
just Giants players.I allowed Ray sign my hat and we moved on to the next station. My next station
was wide receiver drills with Demaryius Thomas.Demaryius went to the Georgia Tech Institute of

The Texas Horned Lizard Essay
The Texas horned lizard, Phrynosoma cornutum, is a species in the lizard family, Phrynosomatidae,
which has ten genera and a diverse group of over 125 different species (Hammerson 2007; Cossel Jr.
1997). Lizards in this family can be found in Mexico, Panama, most areas of the United States and
parts of Canada (Heying 2003). Phrynosomatids range in a variety of forms, but are most commonly
distinguished by their small size (less than 10 cm long), rough and keeled scales, spikes on their
bodies, and the fusion of the sides of their teeth to the sides of their inner jawbones, known as
pleurodont teeth (Heying 2003). The thirteen species in the horned lizard genus, Phrynosoma, can be
identified more specifically by their flattened bodies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It has developed highly efficient mechanisms for collecting water on the ground and moisture in the
air and transporting it across its skin to its mouth (Map 2010). The Texas horned lizard has hinged
scales, which are interconnected to a system of tubular canals located in the thin keratin layer of its
skin (Sherbrooke et al 2007). When water or moisture comes into contact with the its scales, capillary
forces pull water into the lizard s tubular canals, which is then transported to the mouth for
consumption (Sherbrooke et al 2007). The lizard s hinged scales have also adapted a greater efficiency
of absorbing water by increasing their surface area, which allows for more water to be absorbed and
transported at once (Sherbrooke et al 2007). Furthermore, the lizard has adapted a buccal pumping
mechanism in its mouth, which allows it to pump a constant flow of water into its mouth to drink
(Map 2010; Sherbrooke et al 2007). It has modified structures around its mouth that, combined with
certain tongue and jaw movements, allows it to lower the water pressure and pull a constant flow of
water through its tubular canals and directly into its mouth (Map 2010; Sherbrooke et al 2007). The
Texas horned lizard also exhibits behavioral adaptations that have increased its water absorbing
efficiency. To help increase the capture of water from its scales, the lizard lowers its head and body to
the ground and sticks out its legs to increase the surface area of its body in

Attachment Problems
Attachment problems can be caused by several different factors and it may actually be difficult to
assess causality in some cases where the client history is incomplete or contradictory in places
depending on the source. Ainsworth (1992) aptly summarized the attachment equation. First babies of
sensitive mothers were more likely to be securely attached, while those who had less sensitive mothers
were more likely to be insecurely attached. These insecurely attached children had more difficulty
forming new skills and interests because of their lack of a secure base from which to work.
Psychosocial factors that could contribute to attachment problems in childhood include problems with
the infant, including a difficult temperament or physical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A full physical, mental, and social history of the family, and the child, should be taken with careful
attention paid to any trauma that may have occurred to the parent(s), the child, or the family as a
whole and any history of substance abuse within the family or those with whom the child had frequent
contact. Questions should be asked about the beginnings of the symptoms, however, in some
situations the family may be a foster or adoptive family that is trying to figure out the behavior of a
child and has never seen any different behavior from the child and may not have a full history of them.
When possible, physicians, former caretakers, former caseworkers, and others who might know the
child s history in the case of a foster or adopted child should be contacted and as much information
should be gathered as possible. A Marschak Interaction Method Behavior Rating System may be
useful here, for the current caretaker and child, if there is a trained clinician available to observe the
mother child dyad and complete the assessment. It has been observed that high parental stress may
inhibit ideal parent child interactions as well (McKay, Pickens, Stewart, 1996) and because of this the
clinician may want to provide an assessment to the parent(s) that evaluates this such as the Parenting

Southwest A Success Story Of Organizational Change
Southwest a Success Story in Organizational Change
Why is it that when organizations announce upcoming changes to their employees they are rarely
excited about it? You do not see them jovially discussing what is going to happen next, and/or how
these changes are going to make their organization better. No, none of this is happening. Most of them
are worried and wondering how these changes will affect them, and what their roles are going to be.
This mindset makes organizational change difficult. Society in general just does not like change, nor
are they comfortable with it.
Therefore, when an organization can successfully implement change, people notice and researchers
want to study them. They do this so they can formulate a change theory and teach it to other
organizations that are experiencing the same situation(s). One company that has continually evolved,
made changes, and has been successful at it is Southwest Airlines. How have Southwest Airlines been
so successful, what was their core strategy, and what part has their differentiation strategy played in
their success?
Air Southwest was incorporated on March 15, 1967 (1966 to 1971, 2016), at a time when price
competition from interstate competitors was ferocious (Heskett Sasser, 2013, p. 3). However, Rollin
King one of Southwest original founders had an idea that would shake things up. While having a

Drum Major Failure
While the failures everyday teenagers go through pale in comparison to that of an adult, if I were to
pick one instance of failure, and the lessons entailed, it would be my rejection from becoming my high
school band s drum major. During my sophomore year, I signed up to try out for drum major. There
were five of us total, and only one of us could be the next drum major. The audition was during band
camp, and we have trained all summer for it. Unfortunately, I did not succeed in becoming the next
drum major. From this experience, I have learned that failure can be a valuable teacher, to commit to
areas where I find the most passion and to manage my tasks at hand more effectively. My lessons
started with failure. First, I learned that even in failure, there are still lessons we can all learn. Instead
of blaming someone and thinking nothing can be done, one should ... Show more content on

While I was training, I did not think much why I wanted to become a drum major. I only wanted the
attention from being a drum major, and this became clear during my audition. My frequent
embarrassing mistakes revealed my degree of dedication and everyone knew I lacked the interest and
the skill to become the next drum major. Realizing trying out for drum major was not what I really
wanted, it felt I have wasted my whole summer. Steve Jobs once said, The only way to do great work
is to love what you do . This quote accurately described my situation because becoming a drum major
was not something I loved. It was simply a way to achieve something else I loved, and this ultimately
costed me at the end. Now while applying to college to become a veterinary doctor I can confidently
say I am pursuing what I find truly empassionating. However, instead of panicking and rushing to
finish my applications all at once, I am facing them one at a time with dedication. It is because the last

Muscle Exercise Summary
The purpose of this study was to compare the muscle activity of three upper limb muscles (forearm,
biceps, and triceps) during back holding movement with three kilogram weight of dumbbell. The
results of studies provide evidence that performing shoulder flexion in the back holding activity
produces significantly greater muscle activity in the biceps muscle. This is because, biceps muscle
contains more tissue compare to another two muscle (forearm and triceps). Besides, the size of biceps
muscle greater than forearm and triceps muscle. So, that is the reason for the greatest activation of
contraction detected during back holding since the larger the size of muscle, the greatest amount of
tissue contained in the muscle. Then, the electrical impulse

The Evil Characters Of Macbeth And Julius Caesar
Shakespeare writes in many unique styles to express different issues. he uses evil characters to
illustrate the depravity in his writing, and how evil characters affect the outcome of the play
Shakespeare s evil writing is mostly prominently evident in his plays, Macbeth and Julius Caesar ..
Shakespeare expresses the evil characteristics of Macbeth and Julius Caesar by showing their greed,
ambition, and their hubris characters
In the plays, Macbeth and Cassius are expressed as greedy people. In both ways, Macbeth, and
Cassius use weapons and other people get to their goals. Macbeth does whatever is in his mind and
doesn t consider the outcome. No son of mine succeeding if t be so, for Banquo s issue have I filled
my mind (Macbeth, III, ii, 65 67). Macbeth in This quote is expressing how he has no son and how he
murdering the king means that after he dies the new king will become Banquo s son. Macbeth is
greatly upset by this as he wants the throne to stay within his family due to his lust for power. In the
same manner, Cassius that relates to Macbeth, Alas, it cried, give me some drink, titanium , as a sick
girt ye Gods, it doth amaze me a man of such feeble temper should so get the start of the majestic
world and bear the palm alone (Julius Caesar, I, ii, 128 132). Cassius dislikes Caesar because of his
reactions and what is being done to the city. Later, Caesar began acting weird by whining and asking
the people to provide him a drink. Cassius asked how that man be our king. A strong wish to have
more money, things, or power than you need ( Ambitions ). This quote relates to both Macbeth and
Cassius because it is saying when people get what they want and succeed with it they always want
more so they can continue to do what they were doing. In This case, both Macbeth and Cassius have a
similar trait among them since they both are trying to become the bigger person in their countries,
while by trying to get rid of the current people that are in their way. continuing, ambition further
exhibits Macbeth and Cassius evil character, which leads them to power. They both are self obsessed
with themselves that they do whatever it takes to make themselves happy. For example, for mine own
good all causes shall

History Of Air Assault Operations During The Korean War
History of Air Assault
The purpose behind my topic is to simply show a little insight to the beginnings and processes of how
air assault operations came about. The importance aviation played from Korea through Vietnam and
onto the complex battlefield that is being fought today. Throughout history we have seen what using
aviation and specifically utility based aircraft in a role of something more deliberate such as aerial
reconnaissance, troop transport, medevac and logistical missions can do for the ground force
commander and become a combat multiplier.
The military realized the importance of aviation during the Korean War due to terrain restrictions and
the ability for men and equipment to move further and move faster to a location regardless of the
terrain, a great asset when it comes to choosing between walking or flying. After Korea and the
beginning of the Vietnam is really when air assault operations took off. The inception of the Air
Cavalry in 1965 turned the tide in what we consider to be the foundation of air assault operations on a
complex battlefield. One of these operations that will be pointed out in this paper is the battle of Ia
Drang Valley which occurred in the fall of 1965 and was received as the first division air assault
victory in recorded history. The scale in which that air assault took place was unprecedented and had
never been seen before.

The Extrovert Ideal By Robert Cain
In today s society, many people believe that extroverts are more likely to be more successful, smarter,
more interesting and even more attractive. In this book, Cain argues that introverts can be all the same
things as extroverts but society underestimates the power of introverts (especially in leadership
positions) because they are quiet . She mentions that with that attitude towards introverts there are
many organizations or people including Harvard that attempt to turn introverts into extroverts so that
they can become successful. Cain divided her book into four different parts. Part one, The Extrovert

Part three, Do All Cultures Have An Extrovert Ideal? where she examines whether or not being
extrovert is ideal for other cultures outside America. Finally part four, How To Love, How To Work
talks about the idea that we switch our personalities based on who we are talking to, the environment
we are in and the situation. In part one of the novel Cain explains that extroversion has become the
social norm and in America, it has become ideal. Cain explains that psychologists, social workers and
doctors focus their attention on shy children now because they believe, shyness could lead to dire
outcomes, they warned, from alcoholism to suicide, while an outgoing personality would bring social
and financial success (27). Cain did not think it made sense that only extroverts could be good and
successful leaders so she went out to Harvard to find out if it was true. She explains that the first thing
she noticed was how confident everyone appeared to be. The students did not slouch, stroll or linger
and they were always perfectly dressed females looked/walked like supermodels while the males were
clean cut and athletic and the environment was very

Single Parent Black Families Analysis
This article discusses a common factor that is encountered when counseling single parent Black
families. That is the topic of a mother s unresolved issue with the absent father being projected on the
eldest son. Lowe stated that in single Black families, mothers unresolved feelings about an absent
father are usually placed on the eldest son who is expected to assume the role as a parental child.
Lowe found that negative projections could possibly hide many unresolved emotional issues that the
mother has with the father. Therefore, this causes the relationship between the mother and son to
become impaired. This occurs because the son naturally develops and wants to differentiate himself,
which causes him to trigger unfinished business for

Archaeopteryx Research Paper
For my research project, I did it on the archaeopteryx and the dodo bird. The archaeopteryx, also
known as the ancient wing . It comes from the 2 Greek words archaīos, meaning ancient, and ptéryx,
meaning wing. The Dodo bird or the flightless bird is another example of an extinct species that is
included in this paper.
The archaeopteryx, once thought of as the First Bird or Urvogel was a avian/reptile. The
Archaeopteryx was believed to live about 150 million years ago, towards the end of the Jurassic
period. The Avian dinosaur was a carnivore and scientist believe it prayed on small animals, which it
would pick up in its talons. It also had wings like any other avian, but scientist are not completely sure
if it could fly, glide or it even be another type of flightless bird, like the Dodo.
The structure of the reptilian/ avian has many similarities and differences to the modern bird, which is
why it s understandable that the scientist were not sure what to categorize the creature. The size of the
Ancient Wing, is typically the size of a modern day raven with the weight of only 2 pounds. A
distinguishing trait about the creature is the fact it had a full set of teeth which lead scientist to believe

transgenic mice via inhibition of nuclear factor κB pathway. Abstract Background: In Alzheimer s

contribute independently to neurodegeneration. Antiinflammatory strategies might provide benefits for
this devastating disease. The aims of the present study are to address the issue of whether glial

Apart from these classic hallmarks, increasing evidence has demonstrated uncontrolled glial activation
and neuroinflammation in AD brain may contribute independently to neural dysfunction and cell death
(Akiyama et al., 2000; Wyss Coray and Mucke, 2002). Robust activation of microglia has been found
in and around the area of amyloid plaques in the AD brain, and reactive astrocytes have been shown to
form a halo surrounding the amyloid plaques (Itagaki et al., 1989; Ho et al., 2005). Additionally,
numerous proinflammatory factors have been reported to be elevated in both patients with AD and
transgenic animal models of AD (Griffin et al., 1989; Akiyama et al., 2000; Ruan et al., 2009).
Whether alleviation of neuroinflammation will offer therapeutic benefit for AD remains unclear.
Epidemiological studies show a possible association between suppression of inflammation and
reduced risk for AD (in t Veld et al., 2001; Vlad et al., 2008). Therefore, drugs targeting
neuroinflammation might provide benefits for the prevention and treatment of this devastating disease.
In the central nervous system, microglia and astrocytes are the major type of glial cells, and activation
of these cells has been involved in all neurodegenerative diseases (Wyss Coray and Mucke, 2002).
Nevertheless, the diverse physiological functions of glial activation might complicate the
interpretation of experimental

The Romantic Periods
In the Romantic period a war and a battle took place, the era learned ways to spice up production, the
play Faust was created, and there were connections between the time period and the play itself. The
first war that took place was the French Revolution.
The French Revolution began in 1789 and lasted until 1799. There were three estates in France but
one of the estates was not being treated fairly so they decided to rebel. Finally, a Constitution was
made and everyone was happy. The battle of Valmy took place September 20, 1792. Two French
armies had some issues between themselves so of course the only way to resolve the problems was to
go to war. After a few days of fighting both sides decided to negotiate and eventually the fighting
ceased. In all the trauma that the war and battle cause though Goethe was able to find inspiration to
write his play called Faust . In order to understand Faust you had to understand the trauma inflicted on
the play s author by the French Revolution. (Kolonie) In order to deal with wars that were occurring
Goethe spilled his feelings into his writing. In the play Faust the Devil and God make a bet that the
Devil cannot make God s most promising scholar turn against him. The man ends up selling his soul
to the Devil but just when the Devil thought he won the bet angels came down to take the dead man s
soul up to Heaven. The author, Johan Wolfgang von Goethe, is known as the man most representative
in German literature. (Magil 733) He

Examples of Business Law and Ethics in the Buffalo Creek...
Logan County, West Virginia is home to a small area called the Buffalo Creek Hallow. Numerous
towns sprang up over years in this coal rich creek since the boom of the mining industry. The year
1970 saw the most prosperous year for coal, the increased demand attracted new mining companies to
set up shop at Buffalo Creek however a flood during a cold winter morning in 1972 changed the lives
of the residents forever.
The coal mining history of Buffalo Creek can be traced back all the way to 1940s. At that time,
Lorado Coal Mining Company opened Mine No.5 at the almost the top of the Buffalo hallow. The
dumping of sludge from this mine was happening at the mouth of the middle fork. It functioned just

could potentially have been saved if residents of the Buffalo Hallow were informed of the potential

The Importance Of The Professional And Transformation...
The professional and transformation model both have key elements that make them very different,
however both also relied on teamwork and strong leadership (Mclauglinc, 2014). The transformation
model is a concept that encourages the grow of organization by allowing employees to provide
feedback on projects without fear of negative repercussions. It encourages collaboration and provides
the opportunity for employees to assumed leadership roles at various levels or the organization
(Mclauglinc, 2014). The professional model is based on individual responsibility, rigid planning,
administrative authority.
Healthcare organizations are beginning to adopt the transformation process, but not all organizations
have applied the transformation at the same level. An example of this can be seen in nursing, in this
particular area nurses have become aware of implementing stronger communication between
providers and nursing staff this has increase patient safety (NBCI,
2004). New clinical safety measures have been applied to medication safety such as the use of the
Three Identifiers where nurses and doctors confirm the medications to be administer by following
stablish guidelines. Prior to administering a drug, the staff conducts callbacks out loud to ensure the
doctor, nurse and patient all are aware of the medication being administer (welch,
2016 ). Other changes include the use of the Two Challenge Rule this procedure is utilized to

The Invasion Of The Vietnam War
Firstly, the invasion of the Vietnam War cannot be justified when the US s ally in the war is a corrupt
democracy. When the Vietnam War began the United States puppet state was Ngo Dinh Diem s South
Vietnam. Diem was a dictator or the President supposedly of South Vietnam that took power for
himself there, and threw all of his civil and political opponents into violent concentration camps. The
South Vietnamese President had also oppressed those of different religions specifically Buddhism (
NGO DINH DIEM, FIRST PRESIDENT OF SOUTH VIETNAM. ). Eventually, the Viet Cong who
would rather support a communist regime formed due to the oppressive nature of Diem s ruthless
democracy. By the time North Vietnam sought to unify the country Diem had opposition from all
perspectives, including his most trusted peers. Even with his mockery of a democracy, the United
States believed it had to support his efforts in the defense of democracy in South Vietnam. The United
States did want a change of power, but were willing to continue with Diem if deemed necessary to

The Technology Of Cloud Computing
1.0 Introduction With the rapid expansion of cloud computing and the escalating hype of future
technology, it is essential to understand the possibilities it can bring to the current and the future
digital world. This report will explore and go into brief detail regarding the technology of cloud
computing. It will cover subject areas such as, what is the cloud, the history, the benefits and the
drawbacks. The report will also look into current cloud systems that are live and are in use which will
include some of our personal views within the report. 2.0 What is Cloud Computing Cloud computing
is a general term used to describe a new class of network based computing that takes place over the
internet, this is a step up from utility computing (which is a collection or a group of integrated and
networked hardware, software on a platform). 3.0 History of Cloud Computing The foundations of
cloud computing can be found back to pre historic times however the idea was formulated in 1961 by
John McCarthy, (when he gave a speech to celebrate the MIT Centennial). McCarthy developed the
concept of computer time sharing, which allows several people to use a single, central, computer at the
same time. If this approach should be implemented, he claimed in 1961, Computing may someday be
organised as a public utility . The concept of time sharing has been made possible by the development
of so called cloud computing (the delivery of computing as a service rather than a

Japanese Salespeople: Straight Salary or Commission?
National Office Machines of Dayton, Ohio, manufacturer of cash registers, electronic data processing
equipment, adding machines, and other small office equipment, recently entered into a joint venture
with Nippon Cash Machines of Tokyo, Japan. Last year,
National Office Machines (NOM) had domestic sales of over $1.4 billion and foreign sales of nearly
$700 million. In addition to the

The tradition of spending a lifetime with a single employer survives today mainly because most
workers like it that way. The very foundations of Japan s management system are based on lifetime
employment, promotion through seniority, and single company unions. There is little chance of being
fired, pay raises are regular, and there is a strict order of job protecting seniority.
Japanese workers at larger companies still are protected from outright dismissal by union contracts
and an industrial tradition that some personnel specialists believe has the force of law. Under this
tradition, a worker can be dismissed after an initial trial period only for gross cause, such as theft or
some other major infraction.
As long as the company remains in business, the worker isn t discharged, or even furloughed, simply
because there isn t enough work to be done.
Besides the guarantee of employment for life, the typical Japanese worker receives many fringe
benefits from the company.
Bank loans and mortgages are granted to lifetime employees on the assumption that they will never
lose their jobs and therefore the ability to repay. Just how paternalistic the typical Japanese firm can be
is illustrated by a statement from the Japanese Ministry of
Foreign Affairs that gives the example of A, a male worker who is employed in a fairly representative
company in Tokyo.
To begin with, A lives in a house provided by his company, and the rent he pays is amazingly low

Character Analysis Of Vertigo
Recently, Alfred Hitchcock s Vertigo replaced Citizen Kane as Sight Sound s Greatest Film of All
Time. The movie includes all the essentials for a great film: strong, multi layered characters, stunning
performances from some of the greatest actors of the time, and a rich, exhilarating plot filled with
suspense and twists. The movie s brilliance is unmistakable, and throughout the years it has been the
inspiration for many other movies, such as the 1976 film Obsession. Vertigo follows acrophobic ex
detective John Ferguson who takes on a new job to follow his old friend Gavin s wife, Madeleine.
Madeleine is acting strange, and Gavin believes she may even be possessed. As John grows close to
Madeleine, the two fall desperately in love. Unfortunately, Madeleine s bizarre behavior gets the best
of her, and she throws herself out of a church tower and falls to her death. Shortly after, John meets a
woman named Judy who looks unmistakably like Madeleine. John s character takes a dark turn when
he spirals into obsession with Judy and her image. Later in the movie, it is revealed that Judy actually
is Madeleine, and she faked her own death. If I had a problem with Vertigo, it would be that this is
revealed too soon. Judy barely has any screen time before this revelation, making it rather
unsurprising as we are not quite attached to her character. But while I decided to put this minor detail
aside, someone else felt compelled to make an entire movie dragging this portion of

Why We Are Better Than Colleges
Senior year is the time for making choices. Some of these choices are going to be small and others
affect the rest of our lives. The biggest and most important choice is which college to attend. Do you
want to stay close to home or go far away? The biggest question is what size of college is right for
you. My two top choices are University of Bluffton and University of Findlay. I think they are both
great colleges but one is definitely a better fit for me. The University of Findlay is a better fit for me
over University of Bluffton because it is close to home, but is still large enough to give me the large
campus feel I am looking for in a college. The hardest part of going to college is the expenses today.
Most students have to take out loans which leaves them in debt all of their lives. University of
Bluffton s tuition is $44,008 ( CollegeSimply. ) which is slightly more than University of Findlay
which costs $42,335 ( Cost of Attending the University of Findlay . ). The difference is $1,673, which

An anchor is a specific word which represents behaviors classically conditioned to evoke a specific
response. This response can be cognitive or behavioral. An anchor does not need to be to be reinforced
with its response and it does not need to be conditioned over a period of time. Language is a common
anchoring system. For example, the word dog will be an auditory anchor to an image of four legged
animal that barks, an effective anchor with little cognitive effort. The smell of a hospital or a family
member screaming in anger is examples of anchors that have been unintentionally installed and they
operate out of an individual s awareness and direct control. Neuro Linguistic Programming operates to
install new anchors which work just as well as these unintentional anchors and work toward evoking a
response that increases the behavioral flexibility of a person and it is through these anchors that
changes can be made in the strategies of thought. Using NLP a therapist can establish a map of one s
cognitive representation of the world and place anchors that be established in a clients strategies that
provoke responses that differ from those expected using their original strategy. It is now used
internationally used by millions of people throughout the world in such diverse fields as management,
sales, marketing, public relations, education, therapy, the military and police, sport, and personal
development. (Schaefer, Beausay Pursley 1983).

However, differentiation is very important in helping children to become motivated and reach their
potential (Pollard, 2000) as children feel both sufficiently challenged yet are still able to complete the
work set. Although this view is currently being questioned within current reports as a new set of
pedagogy comes into place in some schools within mathematics entitled mastery, suggesting that
differentiation is becoming obsolete in mathematics for those who follow this program, as it suggests
the whole class to learn the same content at the same rate (NCETM, 2015).
The first lesson highlighted is a mathematics lesson taught within a streamed class, the lesson
revolved around perimeter (appendix 2). Differentiation within this lesson was a weak area, although
it was attempted. The dominant use of differentiation within this lesson was through choice, as shown
in the mathematics plan (appendix 2) children were given a choice of two activities. They were able to
choose which activity they felt they could do. This was inspired by research stating, If students are
given choice, they challenge themselves more than teachers do (TES, 2012) this suggests that a higher
level of challenge may be created for some children who were perhaps usually given the average
ability group work could now challenge themselves if they felt confident. However, in practise many
capable children were choosing to do the easier activity, the challenge created failed to motivate them,

sometimes with very melancholy times, It is all about learning new stuffs and applying it to our daily

I was a tomboy, a girl with short hair, who used to wear pants and shirts with marvel character logos.
But the girls were way different, they were girly girls with long beautiful hair who wore pretty dresses

The definition of the Golden Rule is that those with the gold make the rules. In other words, those
with the gold have the power as well as those with the power have the gold. History books will discuss
the general reasons for war such as freedom from adversity or freedom from religion. But the real
issue for any war is the thirst for power and control; and the means to finance them are the economic

England s largest export product and the source of its wealth. English pastures produced fleeces that

growers sold their long fine wool to weavers in Flanders, across the English Channel. Flemish
weavers as well as English sheep growers depended on this trade for their business. In 1336, Philip VI
arrested all the English merchants in Flanders and took away all the privileges of the Flemish towns

A Short Note On Generation X And The Workplace Essay
Millennials and Generation X in the Workplace
Have you noticed the faces in your workplace getting younger before your eyes? You are not just
imagining it! If the statistics being released on US demographics are accurate, millennials are slated to
be the largest generation yet. This means that they will also make up the largest chunk of the labor
pool for many years to come. Millennials, along with the smaller but significant Generation X, are
replacing retiring baby boomers at an increasing pace. With this reality, it is obvious that businesses
gain by learning what these younger generations want, and how they can tailor the work environment
to address these desires.
Getting over the Stereotypes
To unlock the great potential contained within these younger generations, employers need to discard
the stereotypes projected by the sensationalist media. This is not to say that these groups cannot be
thought of in general terms. The environment that each group was born into and the opportunities
offered to them work together to create a common history which can be a very powerful force in
shaping the needs and desires of these generations. However, it would be a mistake to only rely on
mainstream media depictions of these generations.
The stereotypes the media reports tend to focus on negative qualities, creating a skewed perception of
the ethics and values of these groups. Generation X was initially described as unfocused, apathetic,

Disruption Of Natural Order In Macbeth
The Significance Of Setting Of Macbeth In The Disruption of The Sacred Natural Order
Today, we rely on a contextualization of most things in order to make sense of them. The plot, and the
theme of a play are better appreciated when we are clear and informed about the play s setting.
Knowing when and where the play or event takes place, is the key to truly understanding that play or
event. The time and place helps us to understand what the play is all about and it s true meaning. This
concept relates to William Shakespeare s classic tragedy Macbeth, as knowledge of the setting helps
us to better understand Macbeth s character and his actions. Set in the year 1050 in northern Scotland,

Through the cultural context of the play, this play has links to Early Modern England. Historically,
Macbeth ruled Scotland as the king for 17 years from 1040 to 1057. However, the accounts in this
Scottish Period vary. Furthermore, scholars agree that Macbeth gained the throne by killing King
Duncan and lost the throne to his son Malcolm by being killed. Shakespeare heavily searched for these
types of histories as well as other sources in the structure of the play. More specifically, he used
Raphael Holinshed s Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland published in 1587 but he may have
been familiar with George Buchanan s Rerum Scoticarum Historae published a few years back in
1582. Both of these scholars were historians that mainly covered the subject of Macbeth. Moreover,
William Shakespeare deviates from these historical sources in his exploration of the main themes of
kingship, human nature, and evil. These alterations to the story include portraying the tragic hero as an
evil person and portraying Banquo as a sympathetic character. As an example, Holinshed and
Shakespeare s illustrations of Duncan is different. Duncan historically, is described as a young, weak,
and an ineffective king. On the other hand, William Shakespeare s vision for Duncan is an older,
benevolent, influential, and virtuous king, whose murder

Genocide and the Propaganda Media Essay
To many Americans, the feeling of being a bystander as countries slaughter their own people has been
in legal debate since 1933, it has gradually developed into a concept that can be applied in many
situations, both historical and contemporary. The meaning of the phrase genocide is the cleansing of a
race or ethnicity in a country. There has been evidence that this phrase can be used to describe past
and present day massacres being committed around the world and how media has changed its

and destroy ecosystems while including all plants, animals, and insects. There are many different
types of invasive plants in the Mojave desert, but some cause a bigger change.
The plants invading the Mojave desert are usually weeds that the animals or weather spread their
seeds. The worst invaders are the Saharan Mustard and or the tumble weed. These are the worst
invaders of all of the Mojave desert. Nevertheless, the Saharan Mustard is one ... Show more content

Moreover, the natives give food to the other animals in the ecosystem, including birds, tortoises, and
or insects. The Mojave desert natives are dying as the result of the Saharan Mustard taking all of their
resources. The Mojave desert tortoises are affected by the reason of they are herbivores, an animal that
consumes only plants, and so they need the natives to survive. Consequently, this sets off a chain
reaction in the web, and it affects everything in that ecosystem. The chain reaction is set off because
what affects one plant or animal affects everything else. Moreover, the Saharan Mustard is a rapid
seed dispenser, and it does not help that the ants that live in the Mojave desert love the seeds.
Consequently, this is more problematic to get rid of the invader.
Moreover, When walking around, and happen to see a Saharan Mustard plant it should be pulled out
of the ground. Plus, learning the destruction the Saharan Mustard can cause people getting together in
fair sized groups picking the weed out. The Morongo Basin can be restored if everyone would help
with removing the weeds. Invasive plants in the Mojave desert should be controlled and dealt with.
Conversely, the Saharan Mustard being removed alone can cause a change in the

  • 2. Essay on Revolutionary Causes A number of issues raised tensions between the colonies and Great Britain. The already tense atmosphere was pushed even further with a number of taxes, acts and proclamations passed by Britain. These numerous acts usually dealt with taxes and other issues that came into conflict with the independent nature of the American colonists. No one issue was solely responsible for the eventual American Revolution. Though all of these added together raised the resentment to a boiling point and all contributed to the revolution. The harsh frontier life led to the independent and often stubborn nature of the American Colonists. This development of this unique colonial personality conflicted drastically with the norms of the British Empire. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Their fear led to more racial violence against the Native population. This conflict lasted from 1763 until a truce was at last finalized in 1766. Britain instituted the Proclamation of 1763 in response to the Native American threat and the racial tensions that permeated the colonial frontier. This proclamation attempted to appease and reassure the natives who feared colonial expansion. The Proclamation of 1763 formed four additional colonies and closed the frontier to further expansion. The colonies formed were Quebec, East and West Florida and Grenada. The frontier was closed to settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. An Indian reserve was set aside west of the Appalachian Mountains and the natives were placed under protection of the king. This act required settlers in the banned area to abandon their farms and land. British troops were sent to enforce the Proclamation, as the crown had no faith that the colonist would obey. The colonists were enraged by the Proclamation. The colonists had supported the French Indian War fully expecting to receive more frontier land as the prize of war. The Proclamation seemed to steal the valuable land from them, as the colonists saw the situation. Most colonists had no respect for the native tribes and did not believe that the native tribes had any claim to the land and resented Britain handing over valuable land to the natives. The colonists also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Final Exam Research Paper Final Exam Essay Writing is one of the most difficult subjects I have taken on this spring semester. Being able to identify the different types of essays as well as putting my skills together to write them is the most difficult to me. Although I have learned from the negative and positive feedback, I still feel there is a huge area that needs improvement. Starting this out I didn t quite know what to expect or what level my writing skills were at. I will most definitely be able to use what I ve learned for my future education as well as my future career. Intellectually I know I had a smart, compassionate instructor that just wanted to absolute best for me in this aspect. The beginning of my struggles with writing was back in seventh grade, I remember staying after school 3 out of 5 days a week for tutorials. I struggled with it all the way until my junior year in high school whenever I came across my English teacher who was once a college professor. It was a daily struggle and even then I remember staying after school 3 out of the 5 days for tutorials. After seeing my skills improve every day, I knew all I needed was extra coaching and practice. If I would have continued taking English courses throughout my education I feel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Getting into RN school is one of my dreams and goals I have held for years. I understand research papers as well as English are a big part of getting your bachelor s degree. Not only will I be able to identify the types of essays, but also I will be able to research true information verses false. I never knew how to tell what information was true and false on different websites. Knowing there are several resources available to me is what makes it even better. Taking this feedback and applying it towards my education from here on out can benefit me in ways most people wouldn t even believe. I will be able to sufficiently write my research paper on a college ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Reflection Paper On Jerseys I have met many NFL players when I went to summer camp at Mount Vernon Presbyterian school. I am telling you about when I got a jersey signed by Prince Amukamara. It was a nice summer day at New Era football camp.Where many players like Thomas, Vic Beasley, Ray Rice, AJ, and of course Prince train and play with kids.Every morning you would walk down the stairs and wait on the field until the players were ready.Today they announced that New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara has come with 5 blue and white authentic NFL jerseys that were signed and ready to give away.I am a Giants fan and I really wanted to meet Prince Amukamara. Every day you would get different schedules based on your age.I examined the schedule that the Atlanta Falcons outside linebacker Vic Beasley gave me. I realized that Prince Amukamara was my last station.I wondered if he would still have any jerseys towards the end of the day. They told us to stand in lines based on our age.I was excited to go to the first station because it was running back drills with Ray Rice. Ray plays for the Baltimore Ravens and went to Rutgers University. When I registered for this camp I got to pick a hat of any NFL team.Of course, I chose the Giants, but I decided to get it signed by any player, not just Giants players.I allowed Ray sign my hat and we moved on to the next station. My next station was wide receiver drills with Demaryius Thomas.Demaryius went to the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology. He plays for the Denver ... • 5. The Texas Horned Lizard Essay The Texas horned lizard, Phrynosoma cornutum, is a species in the lizard family, Phrynosomatidae, which has ten genera and a diverse group of over 125 different species (Hammerson 2007; Cossel Jr. 1997). Lizards in this family can be found in Mexico, Panama, most areas of the United States and parts of Canada (Heying 2003). Phrynosomatids range in a variety of forms, but are most commonly distinguished by their small size (less than 10 cm long), rough and keeled scales, spikes on their bodies, and the fusion of the sides of their teeth to the sides of their inner jawbones, known as pleurodont teeth (Heying 2003). The thirteen species in the horned lizard genus, Phrynosoma, can be identified more specifically by their flattened bodies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It has developed highly efficient mechanisms for collecting water on the ground and moisture in the air and transporting it across its skin to its mouth (Map 2010). The Texas horned lizard has hinged scales, which are interconnected to a system of tubular canals located in the thin keratin layer of its skin (Sherbrooke et al 2007). When water or moisture comes into contact with the its scales, capillary forces pull water into the lizard s tubular canals, which is then transported to the mouth for consumption (Sherbrooke et al 2007). The lizard s hinged scales have also adapted a greater efficiency of absorbing water by increasing their surface area, which allows for more water to be absorbed and transported at once (Sherbrooke et al 2007). Furthermore, the lizard has adapted a buccal pumping mechanism in its mouth, which allows it to pump a constant flow of water into its mouth to drink (Map 2010; Sherbrooke et al 2007). It has modified structures around its mouth that, combined with certain tongue and jaw movements, allows it to lower the water pressure and pull a constant flow of water through its tubular canals and directly into its mouth (Map 2010; Sherbrooke et al 2007). The Texas horned lizard also exhibits behavioral adaptations that have increased its water absorbing efficiency. • 8. Southwest A Success Story Of Organizational Change Southwest a Success Story in Organizational Change Why is it that when organizations announce upcoming changes to their employees they are rarely excited about it? You do not see them jovially discussing what is going to happen next, and/or how these changes are going to make their organization better. No, none of this is happening. Most of them are worried and wondering how these changes will affect them, and what their roles are going to be. This mindset makes organizational change difficult. Society in general just does not like change, nor are they comfortable with it. Therefore, when an organization can successfully implement change, people notice and researchers want to study them. They do this so they can formulate a change theory and teach it to other organizations that are experiencing the same situation(s). One company that has continually evolved, made changes, and has been successful at it is Southwest Airlines. How have Southwest Airlines been so successful, what was their core strategy, and what part has their differentiation strategy played in their success? Air Southwest was incorporated on March 15, 1967 (1966 to 1971, 2016), at a time when price competition from interstate competitors was ferocious (Heskett Sasser, 2013, p. 3). The audition was during band camp, and we have trained all summer for it. Unfortunately, I did not succeed in becoming the next drum major. From this experience, I have learned that failure can be a valuable teacher, to commit to areas where I find the most passion and to manage my tasks at hand more effectively. The Evil Characters Of Macbeth And Julius Caesar Shakespeare writes in many unique styles to express different issues. he uses evil characters to illustrate the depravity in his writing, and how evil characters affect the outcome of the play Shakespeare s evil writing is mostly prominently evident in his plays, Macbeth and Julius Caesar .. Shakespeare expresses the evil characteristics of Macbeth and Julius Caesar by showing their greed, ambition, and their hubris characters In the plays, Macbeth and Cassius are expressed as greedy people. In both ways, Macbeth, and Cassius use weapons and other people get to their goals. Macbeth does whatever is in his mind and doesn t consider the outcome. History Of Air Assault Operations During The Korean War History of Air Assault The purpose behind my topic is to simply show a little insight to the beginnings and processes of how air assault operations came about. The importance aviation played from Korea through Vietnam and onto the complex battlefield that is being fought today. Throughout history we have seen what using aviation and specifically utility based aircraft in a role of something more deliberate such as aerial reconnaissance, troop transport, medevac and logistical missions can do for the ground force commander and become a combat multiplier. The military realized the importance of aviation during the Korean War due to terrain restrictions and the ability for men and equipment to move further and move faster to a location regardless of the terrain, a great asset when it comes to choosing between walking or flying. After Korea and the beginning of the Vietnam is really when air assault operations took off. The inception of the Air Cavalry in 1965 turned the tide in what we consider to be the foundation of air assault operations on a complex battlefield. One of these operations that will be pointed out in this paper is the battle of Ia Drang Valley which occurred in the fall of 1965 and was received as the first division air assault victory in recorded history. The scale in which that air assault took place was unprecedented and had never been seen before. Korea During the Korean War the Marines were using helicopters out of necessity because it wasn t ... It comes from the 2 Greek words archaīos, meaning ancient, and ptéryx, meaning wing. The Dodo bird or the flightless bird is another example of an extinct species that is included in this paper. The archaeopteryx, once thought of as the First Bird or Urvogel was a avian/reptile. The Archaeopteryx was believed to live about 150 million years ago, towards the end of the Jurassic period. The Avian dinosaur was a carnivore and scientist believe it prayed on small animals, which it would pick up in its talons. It also had wings like any other avian, but scientist are not completely sure if it could fly, glide or it even be another type of flightless bird, like the Dodo. The structure of the reptilian/ avian has many similarities and differences to the modern bird, which is why it s understandable that the scientist were not sure what to categorize the creature. Apart from these classic hallmarks, increasing evidence has demonstrated uncontrolled glial activation and neuroinflammation in AD brain may contribute independently to neural dysfunction and cell death (Akiyama et al., 2000; Wyss Coray and Mucke, 2002). Robust activation of microglia has been found in and around the area of amyloid plaques in the AD brain, and reactive astrocytes have been shown to form a halo surrounding the amyloid plaques (Itagaki et al., 1989; Ho et al., 2005). Additionally, numerous proinflammatory factors have been reported to be elevated in both patients with AD and transgenic animal models of AD (Griffin et al., 1989; Akiyama et al., 2000; Ruan et al., 2009). Whether alleviation of neuroinflammation will offer therapeutic benefit for AD remains unclear. • 28. Why We Are Better Than Colleges Senior year is the time for making choices. Some of these choices are going to be small and others affect the rest of our lives. The biggest and most important choice is which college to attend. Do you want to stay close to home or go far away? The biggest question is what size of college is right for you. My two top choices are University of Bluffton and University of Findlay. I think they are both great colleges but one is definitely a better fit for me. The University of Findlay is a better fit for me over University of Bluffton because it is close to home, but is still large enough to give me the large campus feel I am looking for in a college. The hardest part of going to college is the expenses today. Most students have to take out loans which leaves them in debt all of their lives. University of Bluffton s tuition is $44,008 ( CollegeSimply. ) which is slightly more than University of Findlay which costs $42,335 ( Cost of Attending the University of Findlay . ). An anchor is a specific word which represents behaviors classically conditioned to evoke a specific response. This response can be cognitive or behavioral. An anchor does not need to be to be reinforced with its response and it does not need to be conditioned over a period of time. Language is a common anchoring system. For example, the word dog will be an auditory anchor to an image of four legged animal that barks, an effective anchor with little cognitive effort. The smell of a hospital or a family member screaming in anger is examples of anchors that have been unintentionally installed and they operate out of an individual s awareness and direct control. Neuro Linguistic Programming operates to install new anchors which work just as well as these unintentional anchors and work toward evoking a response that increases the behavioral flexibility of a person and it is through these anchors that changes can be made in the strategies of thought. Using NLP a therapist can establish a map of one s cognitive representation of the world and place anchors that be established in a clients strategies that provoke responses that differ from those expected using their original strategy. Differentiation within this lesson was a weak area, although it was attempted. The dominant use of differentiation within this lesson was through choice, as shown in the mathematics plan (appendix 2) children were given a choice of two activities. They were able to choose which activity they felt they could do. This was inspired by research stating, If students are given choice, they challenge themselves more than teachers do (TES, 2012) this suggests that a higher level of challenge may be created for some children who were perhaps usually given the average ability group work could now challenge themselves if they felt confident. This means that they will also make up the largest chunk of the labor pool for many years to come. Through the cultural context of the play, this play has links to Early Modern England. Historically, Macbeth ruled Scotland as the king for 17 years from 1040 to 1057. However, the accounts in this Scottish Period vary. Furthermore, scholars agree that Macbeth gained the throne by killing King Duncan and lost the throne to his son Malcolm by being killed. Shakespeare heavily searched for these types of histories as well as other sources in the structure of the play. More specifically, he used Raphael Holinshed s Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland published in 1587 but he may have been familiar with George Buchanan s Rerum Scoticarum Historae published a few years back in 1582. Both of these scholars were historians that mainly covered the subject of Macbeth. Moreover, William Shakespeare deviates from these historical sources in his exploration of the main themes of kingship, human nature, and evil. These alterations to the story include portraying the tragic hero as an evil person and portraying Banquo as a sympathetic character.
