2. What Is The Poem Poetry Of Metaphors
Poetry of Departures by Philip Larkin is a poem that bears uncanny semblance to life today especially
that of the current day youth. The poem, apart from being a good read, is a very apt description of how
young people tend to go about their lives these days mostly bored, slightly mechanical in outlook,
wanting to do more but failing to go noticed as more than a mere cog in the machine that s life.
The poem bases itself on the themes of escape, boredom, and restlessness and in doing so it quite aptly
portrays how dissatisfying out general attitude towards life is, and how it is quite obvious why we
seem to crave for more meaning in our daily routines.
The poem however does this in a clever way through the dialogue. The feeling ... Show more content

And this tendency towards escapism is exactly what this poem describes. The attitude that we can
have toward our duties or our work because we are doing it not out of love, but out of some weird
obligation we feel towards satisfying the expectations of our societies; the attitude where we just want
to throw up our hands at times and take a moment away from the hustle and bustle of our fast paces
lives and do something for ourselves in the selfish interest of happiness is something that the poem
very poignantly points out.
The sense of all pervasive boredom is also something that comes across to the reader very effectively.
The fact that today s youth all hate home (not because we actually hate it, but because we take the
comfort we get for granted) is something that cannot be ignored. And this is not just true for our
homes but for everything that has been made available to us. In being enabled with most things, we
often forget the true value of the objects that make up our known surroundings, and this unfortunately
is the bitter truth that the poem subtly comments

3. Explain The Extent Between The Federalists And The 1790s
order to stop sole control of power, the Constitution deliberately dispersed said power between the
member states and the national government. This had the effect of a fragmented government structure
where co ordination was in short supply and control lay in a plethora of discordant hands. The
realisation that this could only be overcome via the coming together of similar minded folk who could,
in turn, appropriate the presidency and control congress dawned, and the 1790 s heralded two
American national parties, The Federalists and the Republicans. However, this does not mean that
there was a complete absence of political activity prior to the 1790 s. The exact opposite is in fact true.
There was already large social, racial and economic disjuncture ... Show more content on

Questions of national interest consumed both parties focus and naturally, drew their attention beyond
state lines. Support had to be drawn from all over the country, the Federalists, from the banking,
commercial and financial interests and the Republicans, from small farmers, debtors, southern planters
and frontier settlers .They could not afford to be exclusive parties. The dangers of a narrowly based
coalition were acute and as such, both parties needed to increase their support. Otherwise, neither
party would have the slightest chance of gaining a majority vote and in turn winning the presidency.
This, according to many scholars, can be held accountable for the extremely broad scope of the two
modern American parties that are almost indiscernible from one another. Parties must be adept to the
changing patterns of American life. Indeed, the failures of the Federalist and Whig parties in pervious
years can be attributed to their stubborn resistance to widening their coalition. Both of the modern
parties have taken valuable lessons from these failures, although lapses in attention have seen them
suffer electorally in the

4. I Am A Student Athlete
All growth depends upon activity. There is no development physically or intellectually without effort,
and effort means work Calvin Coolidge. Working for what you want has been drilled into our minds
ever since we were little. It doesn t seem like such a hard concept; however, putting it into action is the
difficult part. Even though putting effort into your schoolwork is a long process, the hard work will
pay off in the long run. If you do not actively work in all of your classes and try to overcome the
obstacles that you run into, you will end up with poor grades.
Because I am a student athlete, I have to juggle going to classes, working on homework, attending
practices, and playing in games. One of the problems I always encounter is trying to find time to study
for quizzes and tests. In high school, I could get away with not studying, winging the exam, and
hoping for the best; however, I never ended up with the results I wanted. I had a major reality check
when I realized that not studying would lead to poor grades. It does not take much effort to spend an
hour to sit down and review material. Studying or not studying was something that I could control
myself. I have now learned to always take advantage of these opportunities because sometimes things
I can t control get in the way of my academics.
Something that is unavoidable that might lead to poor grades is the pressure that is pushed upon them
to excel and advance in classes. This pressure can come from

8. Analysis Of A House Divided
A filmed named A House Divided by John Kent Harrison was based on a true story where Amanda

was born a fair white skin. Dickson and her mother raised her without knowing her true mother.
Amanda grown but Dickson died so he left all his estate to her daughter Amanda. However, Dickson s
brother, Henry, knew Amanda s true identity and he contest David Dickson last will. Mr. Dickson set
an attorney, Charles Dubose, to represent Amanda in the court; to fight for her inheritance from her
father. Even though later in the story Mr. Dubose realizes the true identity of Amanda, he still
continues to help her win her case. In the end, the council decided that Amanda will be keeping the
estate that her late father gave to her. One of my reaction to the movie was about the role of Sam
Waterson as David Dickson where even though he was given an unlikable role as a slave owner, he
was seen as a sympathetic character even after he died. Slave owners Georgia are known to be cruel,
brutal and they see their slaves as a property. They would treat their slaves inhumanely; however,
David Dickson was seen as a loving father, even though he knows that her daughter is a mixed race,
he listens to Julia (a black slave, mother of Amanda) to give rewards to slaves whoever works hard
and eventually reward them with a small plot of land for them to grow crops for their own family and

12. The Fight For Identity
Identity is something that everyone has and wants to be able to express. It shows your cultures, your
beliefs, your religion, and even your hobbies. In history, slaves have risked their lives escaping from
the people who shut down their self perception, just to get their identity back. Currently, there are
marches happening all over the world that are protesting for people to be able to express who they are;
like the LGBTQ Marches and the Women s Marches. Identity has been riskily fought for in the past,
and in the present. Therefore, it is incredibly important to fight for.
Historically, in the time before the Underground Railroad, African American slaves were devastated in
their living condition. They wanted to be able to express their identity and celebrate their culture, but
this was not allowed. They snuck out of their atrocious life and traveled a disastrous distance just to
get to a new, accepting home. The poor slaves were later welcomed into new places where their
distinctiveness could be expressed and cherished. Overall, the slaves gave up everything, even risked
their lives, just so they could regain their identity. This shows that identity is worth fighting for
because it represents who you are and people want to be able to express that. ... Show more content on

that this can affect women s confidence, future, and most of all, their identities. Women s marches are

dreams, future, and self perception. Thus, identity is worth fighting for because if you are positive

Further, when Alice was a small child, she cried over the idea that butterflies have a really short
lifespan. However, Alice s mother felt that a short life did not mean a depressing one but a beautiful
one. Therefore, in Alice s mind, she would be like the butterfly, she would have a short life but a
beautiful life. In class, I learned about caregivers and the roles that they play. In the book, readers
understand the conflict that Alice s husband, John, is experiencing when offered a new position at a
different university and his responsibilities to Alice as a caregiver and husband. Therefore, in class we
learned that the biggest challenge with spouse s caregiving is adjusting to end of parenting, retirement
schedules, financial adjustments, and health changes like dependency, long established roles, and new
demands. In the book, it showed that John largely abandoned his wife to the care of their daughter
Lydia. It was Lydia, Alice and John s youngest child and the one who had a difficult relationship with
her mother in the beginning, who had great compassion and care for her mother. It was also surprising
and amazing that Alice s disease brought their relationship back on track. Therefore, some children s

14. Military Industrial Complex Essay
Position on Military Industrial Complex Catalina M. Young Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy Abstract
The Military Industrial Complex is a term coined by former President Dwight D. Eisenhower. This
refers to the relationship between the nation s armed forces and the industries that support them.
Though its name came about in the 1960s, this relationship between armed forces and private industry
dates back centuries. Recent legislation has been passed to help limit the power that this relationship
has over defense spending. For any country, military spending is a big part of the national budget.
Over time this business transaction has formed into a relationship between the nation s armed forces
and these private defense industries. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At that point in time, arms were still being manufactured and shipped over from Britain. Hamilton not
only saw this as a more economical way to obtain arms, but also as a way to cut ties with foreign arms
producers, which he thought was key to national security. This seemingly small proposal at the time,
lead to the eventual production of arms on American soil. From this point onward the country s
defense and economy were intertwined. As the need for more weapons grew, the process of making
them transformed from a single person hand crafting a gun, to an assembly line of people each trained
to build a separate part of a gun. In 1808 a policy for arming the United States militia called for more
guns to be made. This act supplied the militia with $200,000 in arms and military equipment annually.
(Encyclopedia of the New American Nation, 2013) Pretty soon thereafter national arms systems were
set upon the national armories. A network of reliable arms manufacturers emerged. Contracts were
drawn up between these armories and private manufacturers, who were more likely to test new means
and materials to improve guns. This was key to an ideal system of arms production. This was the
beginning of the military industrial complex. It was here that the desire for an innovative military arms
snowballed into the high tech industry that it is today. In the councils of government, we must guard
against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or

15. The Book Of Exodus Chapter 20-23
This paper will focus on the book of Exodus, chapter 20 23 and it will be discussing the social roles,
economic situations and valuation of women in these chapters. It will be discussing the different type
of laws which have been made to observe the covenant. It will furthermore be discussing the concerns
related to the interaction of social and economic context of these texts, the foundational beliefs hidden
in them, and the way in which it shows the differences and similarities in the way in which women
have been portrayed in extra biblical text in the Ancient Near Eastern History.
INTRODUCTION
The book of exodus is divided in to two main parts; A first part tells the story of God s rescue of
people of Israel from Egypt and his bringing them to mount Sinai (Chaps. 1 19), and a second part
describes his covenant with them, made as they encamped at mount Sinai (Chaps. 20 40). Exodus is a
book which talks about the rescue from human bondages and bondage from sins. The text of the book
of Exodus is on the whole rather well preserved in the Masoretic tradition. Moses spent almost thirty
nine years to write Exodus. We can reasonably think that he wrote this book for the second postexodus
generation, the ones who were preparing themselves to enter the promise land. There are basically six
themes which exodus talks about: Bondage Deliverer The Law Sacrifice The Tabernacle Presence
Continuation Anticipation. In this paper we will be discussing about the laws which was made to

16. The Age of Enlightenment in Society
Necessity is the mother of invention. Long ago after a treacherous, extensive war, when a king ruled
over many lands he took away the rights of his people. This caused many philosophers, politicians,
artist, writers and any other man who started to question all that each believed in and wanted rights,
decided to finally say what they really thought of their king and how he was wrong with what he was
doing (SparkNotes). As humans, everyone was born with natural rights that are incredibly important to
have control over (John Locke). When they were stripped of their privileges it caused many to think of
new ideas, or in other words, new inventions. Between the 1600 s and 1790 s enlightenment thinkers
changed society with the new concept of putting power in the peoples hands. The king took away any
self dignity he could from any individual he may to gain more power for himself. With all of this
capability and no one to stop him, he made destructive decisions. Everyone in the land was imposed
with taxes, without any voice given from any personage. Men with lowest income received the highest
taxes, and men with highest income received lowest taxes (Declaration). The so called mighty rule
was destroying families, killing mothers, fathers, and even children. He made sure that living was the
most laborious and strenuous thing the lower class peasants ever did. He pushed and pushed his
followers, the further he pushed the more wroth they began to be. The king refused to give

In the wild, interactions between humans and animals are often limited. In captivity, this dynamic is
altered as a result of humans being allowed to be in close proximity to the animals while they are on
display. Zoos, especially in Europe and North America, strive to educate the public about their animals
and the conservation efforts to help save them in the wild (Hosey, 2005). In order to ensure that
visitors leave the zoo feeling as if they can make a difference, visitors need to feel a connection with
the animals. A way in which this is done is to design exhibits that put the public closer to the animals.
By doing so, it is common that animals in captivity can be subject to interaction with the guests,

Different populations have been seen reacting negatively, while others have reacted positively or
neutrally. In Wells (2005) it was suggested that crowd size had a negative impact on the gorillas at the
Belfast Zoological Gardens in Northern Ireland. The gorillas had increased aggression during large
crowd sizes and appeared less stressful during low visitor periods. However, some populations of
gorillas did not show an increase in undesirable behavior in relation to larger crowd size. In Kuhar
(2008) there were no significant findings that suggested crowd size played any role in the behavior of
the gorillas. In a study conducted by Ross and Lukas (2006) it was found that during crowds of high
density or low density alike, there were no significant differences in gorilla behavior. Interestingly, in
Wells (2006) the researchers suggest that some auditory stimulation, such as that from visitors, can be
a form of enrichment for the gorillas rather than a source of stress. Similarly, in Stoinski et al., (2012)
there were no significant effects of crowd size for some of the behaviors they analyzed. Other
behaviors they observed did change in relation to crowd size such as contact aggression and
undesirable behavior but those behaviors changes were not seen as significant and it is suggested that
crowds may affect some individuals and not

When the Pen Was Mightier Than the Sword: Rachel Carson s Use of Prose to Change the World
The famous author and ecologist, Rachel Carson, singlehandedly managed to start an environmental
movement with the power of her writing. The sharp contrast of the beauty that she described and the
disaster that was happening prompts many a reader to take up arms and defend the world that they live
in. Rachel used her writing talent to emphasize the contrast between how the world used to be and
what it had and will become. Her powerful words created images within the readers minds of the
horrors to come if nothing happens, by giving us glances of what had already happened. In her
revolutionary book Silent Spring, the beauty of her prose juxtaposed by the evil of her topic makes the
book extraordinary. Her use of beautiful descriptions of the natural world contrast with the destruction
that pesticides can cause. It makes us realize that the world around us truly is beautiful but can be
destroyed easily. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

19. Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide
Euthanasia and physician assisted suicide are actions at the core of what it means to be human the
moral and ethical actions that make us who we are, or who we ought to be. Euthanasia, a subject
known in the twenty first century, is subject to many discussions about ethical permissibility, which
date back to as far as ancient Greece and Rome. It was not until the Hippocratic School removed the
practice of euthanasia and assisted suicide from medical practice. Euthanasia in itself raises many
ethical dilemmas such as, is it ethical for a doctor to assist a terminally ill patient in ending his life?
Under what circumstances, if any, is euthanasia considered ethically appropriate? More so, euthanasia
raises the argument of the different ideas that people have about the value of the human experience.
Ezekial Emanuel asserts that the ethical belief, thoughts in the 19th and 20th century in the United
States are reminiscent of those today, both in terms of content and ferocity. Emanuel adds that interest
in euthanasia arises historically and predictably from (1) economic recession or in movements of
Social Darwinism; (2) doctors are engaged in a struggle with society over their medical authority and
profession; and (3) terminating life sustaining practices become part of standard medical practice, and
there is a desire then to extend this to active euthanasia.

22. Agape By Greek Summary
Slide 1:
Nisan
In English, there is only one word for love. In Greek, there are three. Eros is the physical love, Philia
is brotherly love, or sisterly love shared amongst siblings and close friends. Agape is a love that gives
and asks nothing in return.
All three can be experienced in different varieties, but each carries great burdens. Eros must remember
that the other is a living, breathing being, not just an object. Philia must not take unjust, selfish
advantage of the other. Agape does all those things above and much more, with no expectation of
return. Agape is a love that does not require that the other should meet high standards of beauty, nor of
brains, nor of brawn. Agape gives without question, or reason, a God love, you might say, something
that Hephaestus wasn t seen as worthy of.

Spending twenty four hours falling down to Earth, he landed on the island of Lemnos. Intrigued by the
strange immortal, the inhabitants sought him out, and took care of him in his crippled state. Indebted
to their care, he taught the Lemnians his gift of metal work and the arts. The island was hereafter his
home, Hephaestus worked with the mortals, something practically novel among other gods, something
unheard of, outlandish, something a leader would do.
Some legends say, Hephaestus built a palace among the Lemnains, cocooned under a volcano, some
say he lived among the villagers as nothing but their equal.
He grew up with them, acting as a blacksmith, given his powers were of that regard, until he found out
what had caused him to be thrown from Mount Olympus, where the others of his kind reside. He had
been rejected; thrown from his home because of something as trivial as beauty. He had been ridiculed
for his disability. He was not cared for by the

23. Informative Speech On Photography
I. Have you ever wondered how your cameras are able to freeze a moment in time? I have so that s
why I first took a photo class when I was a sophomore in high school.
II. I am here to talk about the tradional side of film photography.
III. I have about 4 years of experience shooting black and white photography.
IV. This is important because without film photography you wouldn t be able to easily access your
camera by one click away.
V. Today I will be talking about the basic functions of traditional black and white camera. Then I will
discus how to develop a roll of film and make a print in the darkroom.

Now lets begin with the functions of a film camera. There are many components that make up the
camera but I will break it down by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is fairly easy; first you cut your photo paper into strips and place it under the Enlarger. The Enlarger
is the key element in any darkroom. Place negative in the native carrier with the emulsion side down
(shiny side down). A negative carrier is device designed to hold the negative in proper position in an
enlarger. (MiMi Photography, Negative carrier ). Open the slot on the enlarger for the negative carrier.
Slide it in and it should lock into place. Adjust enlarger head up or down to your desired position.
Place easel under the lens of the enlarger and adjust the projected image on easel. The easels function
is to hold your photo paper in place. Focus your image by using the focus knob until you see sharp
edges. Once your image is focused, you want to set it for 5 seconds and turn off you light. Then place
your test strip below your enlarger with the shiny side up.
Grab a cardboard to cover a portion of the test strip and press the start button on your timer. When the
light goes out, move the board an inch or two and press start button on the timer again. Repeat process
until you have exposed the strip with light. Once light has been projected on your photo paper you are
now ready to put in the

25. Domestic Violence In The Workplace
Tina was in her late twenties when she first met her husband at church and married him a year later.
The abuse began a week into the marriage, but death threats were cast towards her and her family as
she asked for a divorce. Eventually, he cut her off from everyone she cared about, imprisoning her in
the home, and becoming progressively more violent. Finally Tina was able to involve the police and
save herself and the children that resulted from the relationship. Her advice to women as she presented
her story was to break the silence because at the end of the day, every woman who is killed, injured, or
harmed through domestic violence is someone s daughter (Tina). Domestic violence among adults

Just as there are different forms of the issue, there becomes separate categories of signs and symptoms
as well. As each individual is unique; responses to trauma may vary (Women s Resource).
Emotionally, many victims experience depression, anxiety, fear, and self blame. Behavioral changes
can include withdrawal, flashbacks, and mood swings. Many individuals may socially begin to isolate
themselves and experience a difficulty in trusting others. Aside from physical results from domestic
violence, other symptoms can involve sleep deprivation, somatic complaints, headaches, and chronic
health problems. Each individual can experience a different set of effects and it is important to be
aware of the signs in order to help and report the incident of yourself or that of someone else. While

27. Media Influence on Public Policy Essays
Policymaking is a political process which is affected by various social and economic factors
(Hofferbert, 1974) and media systems play an integral role in shaping the social context in which
policies are developed. Through the media, citizens learn how government policies will affect them,
and governments gain feedback on their policies and programs. Media systems act as the primary
channels between those who might want to influence policy and the policymakers controlling the
scope of political discourse and regulating the flow of information. Textbook policymaking follows an
orderly sequence where problems are identified, solutions devised, policies adopted, implemented, and
lastly evaluated (Mazamanian Sabatier, 1989). In reality, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This effect does not refer to the sole influence of CNN on policymaking, but rather on the power of
global media networks to determine political processes through selective coverage of certain issues.
This is particularly important, as most of the public rely on the media for access to foreign policy
information (Brown Vincent, 1995). Gilboa notes that: The [CNN] concept was initially suggested by
politicians and officials haunted by the Vietnam media myth, the confusion of the post Cold War era,
and the communications revolution. Despite evidence to the contrary (Hallin, 1986), many leaders still
believe that critical television coverage caused the American defeat in Vietnam. Since then, many have
viewed the media as an adversary to government policies in areas such as humanitarian intervention
and international negotiation. (Gilboa, 2005, p. 37)
To determine whether the media has the power to influence policymaking, Robinson (2000) devised
the policy media interaction model (See Table 1), using the theoretical framework of press state
relations in the United States outlined by Hallin (1986). This model was applied to a number of US
humanitarian interventions, which took place in the 1990s. The results showed, that critical reporting
by the media with a strong pro intervention frame had a strong role in shaping the US government
policies when policymakers were uncertain about their actions but a weak role when government
policies

28. Differences Between The Bodhisattva In The Davis Museum
Another more obvious difference between the Bodhisattva in the Davis Museum is the coloring of
each. Unfortunately, time has worn away most of the paint on these heads, but the left Bodhisattva
shows more remnants of the original painting, including a small wavy mustache. Red paint can still be
seen in the headdress, the urna and the lines of the neck. Both heads have dark paint outlining the
eyebrows and the eyes, offering the viewer a look into Gandharan culture. One can see the hair was
once painted black based on the left Bodhisattva s hair which still contains some of the dark pigment.
While most of the paint has worn away, the naturalistic sculpting style allows the life of the
Bodhisattvas to remain intact without the added color. The sculptures appear dynamic due to the use
of lines and shadows in order to further one s sense of naturalism. The eye sockets are set deep into
each head which causes a shadow to fall over the eyes due to the brow ... Show more content on

The stucco heads are examples of the novel art that was formed when art from different countries was
allowed to influence each other. This is visibly illustrated by the Davis Museum placing the
Gandharan heads between the South Asian and Mediterranean exhibits, symbolizing the mixing of the
various art forms. While the informational cards about the Bodhisattvas are helpful tools, they must be
taken with a grain of salt. Whatever is printed on the informational cards must be questioned and
analyzed instead of believed to be the truth. The museum controls the informational cards and thus,
controls the narrative that the audience will learn about each piece. Nonetheless, it is critical to be
curious about the circumstances surrounding museums and their collections so in the future, such
questionable practices won t be tolerated and important cultural pieces will no longer be taken from
their origin

29. Iago Is The Focaling Character In Shakespeare s Othello
In some plays or books, the title character is in the focal role. However, this is not the case for other
books where characters in the title character s orbit are the focal role. In Othello this is how it works.
Othello is not the focal role in this play Othello, but it concentrates more on the character that
manipulates Othello and everybody else the most, Iago. Othello is not the focal role because he does
not do much in the book. Iago is the one that controls most of the story. He commands the attention of
the audience and serves as the central figure of the action in the play. He earns the trust of people and
then uses it against them. He claims to be honest and everybody thinks he is, but he is very disloyal
and lies all the time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Shakespeare 1.3.332 333,336 339)
This shows that it was evident to Iago that Othello was easy to manipulate. He knew that Othello
would believe anything he said because Othello saw Iago as an honest man. So Iago used his
gullibility to his advantage and told Othello all kinds of suspicions about his wife and Cassio that
Othello began to believe.
Iago is definitely the focal role in Othello. We follow him more than any other character, especially
Othello. ... think about the fact that Iago is often our focus in this play. We follow his storyline more

Othello s thoughts and actions by how Iago speaks to each character. According to The Most Popular

and is able to adapt his tone and style to suit any occasion ( Villainous Role of Iago in Othello ).

30. Why Is The Us Constitution Important
The U.S. Constitution is the document of the principles and system of the United States government. It
covers the goals of the new government, the system and purpose of each branch, how the states will
work, how to amend the constitution, the supremacy of the national government, and the process of
ratification. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of America, that must be followed by everyone.
The Constitution of the United States was established at the 1787 Constitutional Convention and
signed in 1787. The Constitution is the structure of America, it tells us how everything will work in
this nation of ours. Without the Constitution, there would not be any specified rules of how this
country is set up and how it works. The Constitution makes us who we are today, it establishes our
system of government, our rules of what we can and can t do, what the government can do for the
people, and how everything in America is set up. On June 18, 1812, the United States declared war on
the British. This action was caused by many reasons. One incident was in 1807, on the Virginia coast,
when the British H.M.S. Leopard s captain, Salusbury Humphreys, demanded that deserters on the
U.S.S. Chesapeake were to be turned over. When the U.S.S. Chesapeake s master commandant,
Charles Gordon, refused, the Leopard violated international law and fired at the U.S.S. Chesapeake,
killing five men and wounding more, taking any suspected deserters ( Sailor s Rights , 2012). Also, the

31. The Most Advanced Technology to Prevent Diabetes is the...
Present Technology The most advanced technology for preventing diabetes currently is the insulin
pump. This is a box about the size of a computer mouse and it supplies insulin to your pancreas. It has
many advantages but sadly, it has much more disadvantages. An advantage of having an insulin pump
is that the device delivers insulin to you. It keeps your blood glucose level in range. If your blood
glucose level gets too high you can press a button on your pump to produce insulin (American
Diabetes Association Insulin Pumps ). It is a great machine to have if you have diabetes, it will make
your life much easier. This has lots of advantages but there are also lots of disadvantages of the
present technology which is why we are improving this a lot.
One disadvantage of the present technology is you have to carry it around everywhere. This is
basically shows everyone that you have diabetes and people might feel uncomfortable. That is why
our invention is a microchip inside you that nobody can see. Another disadvantage of the insulin pump
is every hour or two you have to measure your blood glucose level. People have to monitor their blood
glucose rate for the rest of their lives. But with our microchip you never have to worry about checking
your levels again. Also when people take baths, showers or go swimming they have to disconnect the
pump. With our microchip this never has to be worried about. You have to prick your finger 4 5 times
a day to check your

32. A Research Study On Sordaria Fimicola
Introduction
Sordaria fimicola is a commonly studied species of fungi from the phylum of Ascomycota, commonly
known as the sac fungi or ascomycetes. Sordaria is more specifically studied in many mycology labs
to gain a greater understanding of the exceptional formation of as many as 8 haploid ascospores.
Normally Sordaria and other fungi exists as a haploid organism, but occasionally when the mycelium
from two individuals meet, a diploid zygote is formed. The diploid cell is formed by the fusion of the
haploid wildtype and one of the haploid mutant strain. After DNA replication, we are left with two
sister chromatids connected with a centromere. During meiosis a process called synapsis occurs.
Synapsis allows matching up of two homologous pairs of chromosomes prior to their segregation, and
possible genetic recombination amongst them by breaking and then reconnecting to the other
chromosome thus allowing for crossing over to occur. The further away a gene is from the centromere,
the more frequently the crossing over can occur. Both meiosis I and meiosis II generates four haploid
products, and after one further round of mitosis, eight products are formed and all retained as haploid
together forming a reproductive structure called a perithecium.
Genetic recombination can ultimately lead to the production of traits in the new generation that differ
from those found paternally or maternally. One of the benefits of synapsis (or chromosomal crossover)
is the formation of new

J.P. Morgan, Philanthropist or robber baron?
John Pierpont Morgan was born on April 17 1837. The Morgan family was a rather influential family,

reorganizing or underwriting their securities to restore the profitability, a process that some came to

notable financial wins was during the depths of the 1865 depression when he gathered several other
bankers together and was able to provide over $65 million is gold (that s over 3.5 million ounces) on
the condition that the government would provide a private sale of government bonds to him and his

time when the government was relying heavily on the support of big bankers? Regardless J.P. Morgan
and his syndicate did make a huge profit on this

34. Outsiders In The Outsider
Things are rough all over. (Hinton 35) Ponyboy Curtis says this in the book The Outsiders by S.E.
Hinton. An outsider is someone who is different or doesn t fit in in a certain way, which is why Hinton
never emphasizes who the outsiders are; readers can interpret this book and the outsiders in their own
way because Hinton proves that everyone is an outsider in their own manner. While it can be argued
that every character is an outsider, the main outsiders in this book are Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade,
and Cherry Valance. In a neighborhood of Greasers and Socs, Ponyboy Curtis is a part of a gang on
the greaser side. This gang consists of Ponyboy, obviously, Johnny Johnnycake Cade, Darrel Darry
Curtis, Sodapop Curtis, Keith Two Bit Mathews, Dallas Dally Winston, and Steve Randle. Although
they re all bonded by their grease, Ponyboy does not completely fit in with the rest. [Ponyboy] liked

He is like Ponyboy in the sense of enjoying small things, but in different ways. Useless... fighting s no

average greaser finds happiness in violence and dirtiness, (as Cherry Valance, a Soc, says) but Johnny
Cade is able to find comfort in cleaner, gentler things, such as sunsets, poems, and reading. One of the
main moments where Johnny shows this is when he talks about a sunset and says, The mist was what
was pretty...All gold and silver. (Hinton 66). He is very quiet and preserved, which is why the gang
treats him as the pet. Although he and Ponyboy share the idea of loving these things, Johnny loves
them in his own way and finds the deeper meaning in
