Diversity And Equality And Diversity
Diversity tends to be established by people from different spheres of life including different
ethnicities, cultures, and social settings. It allows individuals to appreciate and understand the
interdependence of culture, the environment in which people are living, and humanity. Diversity also
helps individuals to build alliances and unity despite having a difference regarding their beliefs,
religion, and culture. It helps one to recognize and appreciate that people are born different regarding
their personality and values so that one can accommodate those differences and live together in peace
and harmony. There are some ways through which diversity can be promoted. Some of those ways
include; creating an environment that includes all persons regardless of their social status and
economic background. Secondly, diversity can be improved by ensuring there is equal access to jobs
and opportunity for all people without discrimination. Thirdly, diversity can be enhanced by making
amendments in the organization policies, procedures, and process. Fourthly, diversity can be
strengthened by ensuring people are included and treated with fairness and dignity. Fairness helps to
eliminate issues and differentials because it encourages all members of the society feel appreciated.
Personal Reflection
What does diversity mean to you? Diversity to me means the ability to accept the differences,
uniqueness, oddness and weakness in other people. Diversity enables us to integrate

Magnetic Properties Essay

Magnetic Properties
The magnetic properties of compounds 1 4 were measured on polycrystalline samples dispersed in
eicosane. The phase purity of the samples was demonstrated by powder X ray diffraction (see Figures
S9 S12 in the SI). Fig. 5 shows the temperature dependence of χMT for 1 4. The values of χMT at 280
K are 12.1; 15.1; 18.6; 18.3 cm3 mol−1 K (1; 2; 3; 4), consistent with four uncoupled Mn(III) ions (S
= 2, g = 2, χMTcalc = 12.0 cm3 mol−1 K) and four uncoupled Ln(III) ions. On lowering the
temperature to 50 K, 2 4 predominately show a decrease in χMT, which is most likely caused by the
depopulation of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to obtain a good match to the data at low temperature, an intermolecular interaction, zJ, was
included using the mean field approximation. The simulation shown in Fig. 5 has J = +0.255 cm−1
and zJ = −0.045 cm−1. Exchange between two transition metal ions as mediated by the closed shell
Ln(III) ions [La(III) at one end of the series, or Lu(III) at the other] has been found to be weak.29, 66,
67 A recent study used DFT calculations to show the exchange between Mn(III) ions across Y(III) in a
Mn8Y8 disc to measure J = +0.43 cm−1,68 while antiferromagnetic coupling was observed in a linear
Ni La Ni compound (J = −0.978 cm−1).69 An alternative to intermolecular antiferromagnetic
interactions as an explanation for the decrease in χMT at low temperatures could be the ZFS
associated with the Mn(III) ions. However, any attempt to include a contribution for the ZFS of the
Mn(III) ion in the simulations was unsuccessful, because it overcompensated the weak intramolecular
coupling interaction and negated the increase in χMT that is observed on lowering the temperature. To
confirm the suitability of the simulated intra and and intermolecular exchange interactions found for
compound 1, and to investigate the possible ZFS associated with the Mn(III) ions, we used DFT and
CASSCF calculations (vide infra).

Analysis Of The Jungle, By Upton Sinclair
The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair, was a novel written to expose the harsh conditions of the meatpacking
industry. The novel also describes the struggles of a family living in America. The novel changed the
way many looked at society. Fortunately, that was Sinclair s purpose of the novel. In other words,
Sinclair included many themes for the novel like The American Dream , capitalism versus socialism,
and even the horrors of the meatpacking industry. First, Sinclair included the theme of The American
Dream . The American Dream is the idea that the idea that hard work and morality will yield material
success and happiness. As stated in the book, rich or poor, a man was free... he did not have to go into
the army, he did not have to pay out his money to public officials he might do as he pleased and count
himself as good as any other man. This quote explains how Jurgis and his family thought The
American Dream was like before the moved to America. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sinclair was basically trying to say socialism is better than capitalism throughout the book. As stated
in The Jungle, Here was a population, low class and mostly foreign, hanging always on the venge of
starvation, and dependent for its opportunities of life upon the whim of men every bit as brutal and
unscrupulous as the old time slave drivers; under such circumstances immorality was exactly as
inevitable, and as prevalent, as it was under the system of chattel slavery. In other words, he was

What Is The Intimate Act Of Choreography
The theme of The Intimate Act of Choreography by Lynne Anne Blom and L. Tarin Chaplin is to
inform the audience on what choreography is and how to go about the creative process of dance. This
book s purpose is to be a guide into choreographic process. The choreographic process, which is a
series of steps that create dance and classify dance as a whole, helps the authors break down the major
ideas to form smaller concepts which are used to initialize a dance. The work provides an analytical
view on dance as an artform but also in making the process to simple to understand and how to use.
They do this using three steps to simplify the choreographic process divide, expand, and use. These
three steps are relatively simple but allow for the audience to understand the purpose of the book and
transfer their newfound knowledge into the world. The Intimate Act of Choreography acts as lecture,
setting up the structural bones for those interested in choreography. This is informative and
opinionated but nonetheless a guide into the domain of dance. ... Show more content on

At this point in time the controversy of what dance means and what creates good dance was a much
debated subject. There was multiple ideas and theories of motion and kinesphere which have all
contributed into the revolution seen today in dance. In the eighties the big idea was meaning. The
question being does dance need meaning or can it just exist. The book The Intimate Act of
Choreography takes the of meaning. Though they must prove how exactly that meaning must be
shown and why meaning is essential to artistry. They does this through the support of

The Effects Of Echinacea And Its Effects On The World
Echinacea is common herb that is often used to make herbal medicines. The leaves, flower and root
are all typically used. It can be taken in pill form, as a liquid, or brewed as a tea. There are also many
cough drops that contain echinacea. Echinacea is commonly used to fight infections, such as the
common cold and other upper respiratory infections. Some individuals will take it at the first sign of
the cold, while others will take it when symptoms have already started, in hopes that it will reduce the
duration of the cold. Echinacea is native to North America, and was first used the Great Plains Native
American tribes. In later years, the settlers followed the Native American s example and began using
echinacea for their own medical purposes. As the discovery antibiotics came, individuals stopped
using echinacea for lack of scientific evidence supporting its use. Echinacea activates certain
chemicals in the body to decrease inflammation, which may reduce cold symptoms. The body also
produces more infection fighting white blood cells, also known as T lymphocytes and white blood
cells. Echinacea also stimulates the release of infernos. these cells work to kill germs, while attacking
their control center to stop reproduction. Macrophages are also produced, and are in charge of eating
germs more vigorously, also known as phagocytosis. The herb also prevents bacteria from secreting
hyaluronidase, an enzyme that allows bacteria to break through protective membranes, such as

My Position As A Project Assistant
The focus of my position as a project assistant is document management. The document management
issue I plan to address relates to other project assistants and the remote site monitor for my newest
study. This study is a follow up study to a project that is already in place. All documents in our studies
must go through a review process, and this process involves all members of the team. As a project
assistant my department is responsible for the tracking, filing, and retrieval of trial and onboarding
documents. At the end of the project our documentation is audited, and any issues that arise can
impact the approval of the trial drug.
The main issue that is occurring is our document turnaround time and accuracy has been struggling
due to employee turnover. This can create problems when auditors reference our system to see if the
approved documents were completed in a timely manner, and in some cases is a violation of our
standards to have documents go without updates. For example a medical license must be verified and
on file before its expiration date. Our document training varies by trial; for this specific trial we are
working off a simple document tracking guide, and our own notes from management.
My main goal is to improve and create a better set of tools to assist in our document management.
What I intend to do is update our original guide, and create a more simple tracking tool in Microsoft
excel. I have begun to update our guide by creating screen shots

Advantages Of Extreme Hotel Hacks That You Should Try
Awesome hotel hacks that you should try
Every one of us needs a break from their monotonous life once a while, don t you agree? What better
therapy than a holiday! With a beautiful holiday destination comes the need of booking hotels. Some
of these hotels eat up in your budget and you are forced to compromise on the stay. Now, how good is
a holiday with a compromise? Here are few hacks that can save you some bucks and also give you a
better deal and a comfortable stay.
Make a combo booking
There are many online travel booking sites that offer you a combination like booking a flight and a
hotel. Few sites offer booking of flight, cab as well as a hotel. There are different options and ranges
of flights and hotels that are available on these sites. Depending on the budget and luxury you need,
you can choose your booking. Usually making a combination booking cracks you a better deal than
booking separately. So why spend more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Apart from the basic toiletries, breakfast and Wi Fi, sometimes the bookings made might have hidden
offers that you aren t aware of. This has happened to me before; I had free spa in my booking and
wasn t aware of it, till the end of my stay. It is always best to find out at the reception about the
complimentary items included in your booking and enjoy all that you can.
Apart from these, if you are just planning for a holiday with a budget constraint and flexibility of
dates, then you should plan your trips during the off season. The hotel rates are slashed to a great
extent and you might get a luxurious deal in your budget. Sometimes during season, a similar chain of
hotel might offer you a better rate than the one you are looking at. You can always ask them if they are
ready to match up to the other hotel. This usually works with hotels as they do not want their business
to go down because of their

Eye Imagery In Romeo And Juliet By William Shakespeare
Romeo and Juliet, a tragedy written by William Shakespeare, is one of the popular and influential play
of all time. An important theme Shakespeare tries to communicate to his audience is love, and the
power it has. To convey this subject, Shakespeare used three prominent ideas; eyes, and light and dark,
and nighttime.
As stated above one of the prominent ways William Shakespeare delivers his idea of love is through
eye imagery. Throughout the play, we see examples of eye imagery in relation to love. A great
example of this is right at the beginning of the play, when Benvolio and Romeo are discussing Romeo
s love for Rosaline, who swore an oath of chastity. Benvolio then tells Romeo to come with him to the
Capulet s party to, quote One desperate

The Pros And Cons Of The Cuban Embargo
The new era began, Barack Obama and Raúl Castro announced that the United States of America and
Cuba will restore full diplomatic relations for the first time in more than 50 years since severing ties in
1961. Barston 2006, defines diplomatic relations as the art and practice of conducting negotiations
between representatives of states. It usually refers to international diplomacy, the conduct of
international relations through the intercession of professional diplomats with regard to issues of peace
making, trade, economics and culture (p. 1). One of the major areas it will address is the lifting of the
Cuban embargo. The embargo restricts trade, travel and communication between the two states which

open Internet . All Internet connections in Cuba are available exclusively through Empresa de

general population, landline Internet is the sole means of connecting people in Cuba to the Internet.
The combination of inadequate infrastructure and the government s deliberate policy which controls
access to the internet have produced an extremely slow service that is not widely available throughout
the population. With better diplomatic relations with the United States the Cuban government can
benefit greatly from telecommunications mostly internet advancements which can positively affect the

Health Disparities Within Dekalb County
Introduction The purpose of this paper is to provide insight on health disparities seen within DeKalb
County. The residents of DeKalb County are diverse in race, ethnicity, and income. Since the county is
so diverse there are many health disparities seen amongst its residents. Health disparities occur within
a county when one group of a population has noticeably better or worse health than another group
within the same population. These groups of people can differ by income, education, sex, race,
location, and even sexual orientation. This Paper will discuss the health disparities that exist within
DeKalb County, and explain why these disparities exist from a historical, political and social aspect.
Furthermore, this paper will give background information on health outcomes from national, state, and
local epidemiological perspective in order to support the claims that disparities actually exist within
this county.

The French Revolution And The Haitian Revolution
In 1789, locations across the globe were affected by the French Revolution. This was a revolt initiated
by the people that would change France forevermore, but it also changed Haiti. Unexpectedly, the
French Revolution had a significant influence on the Haitian Revolution, a major slave revolt where
slaves forcefully took their freedom for the first time in history. The French Revolution impacted the
Haitian Revolution by changing the mindsets of the people, inspiring the Haitian Constitution, and
initiating the final phase. Before analyzing the significance of the Haitian Revolution, one should

changing the mindsets of the Haitians in all social classes. The events occurring in France opened the
Haitians eyes to a point where slaves weren t the only ones in Haiti who wanted a change, but thanks
to the French Revolution, everyone was angry. To begin with, the grand blancs wanted to terminate
their trade agreement with France so they could sell to the highest bidder and keep the money they

tyrannical French monarchy. Speaking of the Third Estate, they might have been located in France, but
the petit blancs still associated themselves with them, which is logical, as they were poor working
classmen. These blancs were inspired by the citizens in France and their determination, as well as their
desire for acquiring the rights they felt they deserved. Nevertheless, they turned to violent measures
and began attacking the grand blancs. The petit blancs weren t the only ones who wanted to be treated

facts to learn about such as, Who found or created this element? or, What uses do this element have? .
Out of all the elements, Boron is an interesting element that stands out from others because it is a
powder. This element is also a necessary ingredient that is used in soap. From all the elements on the
periodic table, Boron is a unique element in a lot of ways such as the fact that Boron is a metalloid;
metalloids are not very common in the periodic table. In this essay, Boron is in a number of questions
that will be answered. Boron is an unquestionably interesting element.
First of all, the name of this element is Boron. Its symbol is just, B . Boron is in group 13 of the

The Bosnian-Herzegovina Genocide And Ethnic Cleanse
Introduction
The Bosnian Herzegovina genocide or ethnic cleansing went on from April 1992 to December 1995
around the end of the Second World War. When Bosnia became its own independent nation on April
5th 1922 it wanted to cleanse its country of any non Serbian residents. The killing of Bosnian Muslims
during this time was stated by international tribunals to be an ethnic cleansing however the events that
took place in July 1995 in Srebrenica was so horrific it was deemed a genocide. The United Nations
should have intervened a lot sooner than they did and should have sent more than just peace keepers to
protect the human beings that were being slaughtered.
Victims
The victims targeted during the Bosnian Herzegovina genocide were mostly Bosnian Muslims and
Croatians. The majority of the people that were being murdered and executed were male (boys and
men), while the women were being raped and tortured. The downfall of the Ottoman Empire gave a
rise to the thoughts of nationalism which in turn caused the ethno religious (an ethnic group whose
members are also unified by a common religious background) in Bosnia to have clashing issues like
historical problems between groups and political issues. The three different groups which were living
in Bosnia were obviously Bosnians but also Serbians and Croatians.

world trade and Canada. The flat world, with the advent of advancements and exposure to technology,
infrastructure, culture, cost, education, political change and ideology has changed both World Trade

The approach described in the book is excellent one, to establish and emphasize in education. It
focuses on four strategies. 1) The ability to learn how to learn be inspired and love doing it. 2) Be
passionate and curious. Having strong combination of curiosity quotient and passionate quotient
would foster motivation, innovation and creativity, and thus self education in turn developing the
individual s intelligence quotient. 3) Development of strong interpersonal/interactive skills. This shall
allow for strong interactions with other people within the collaborative world. 4) Development of the
right hemisphere of the brain, which addresses relationship skills, and creativity, and seeing the big
picture . An area that I would also emphasize in education that is not really focused on is financial
education. Being able to understand and interpret how the economic and financial aspects of the
global marketplace work would be a very strong asset to students. This includes understanding
financial reporting, investment strategies, and application of financial well being (i.e. minimization of
debt, asset acquisition and allocation, etc.). In terms of de emphasizing teaching activities I would
address some minimization of low skill type elective courses which may potentially detrimental for
student growth and development. 5. What are the specific challenges for Managers to be better

Inventions Of The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution was an innovative period between the 1760s through the 1850s, making
people go from a predominantly agricultural existence into a more urban lifestyle. Starting after year
1750, all the factors that, made Great Britain the best place for industrialization. The primary
assessment that made it possible was the invention of machines that could do work that was
previously done by hand. This allowed production to shift from inside homes into factories. During
the industrial revolution, new inventions were plentiful and helped to revolutionize the way in which
people lived. The Steam engine, mass production/division of labor, mechanization, abundance of iron,
and the telegraph made the Industrial Revolution ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mass Production and Division of labor is a manufacturing system based upon principles such as
interchangeable parts, large scale productions, and the high volume assembly line. In the early 1800s,
a man named Josiah Wedgwood started his own pottery business using mass production, they made
pottery for Europeans who liked to always keep their tea from porcelain because without the pottery
cups the flavor would spoil. He hired many labors to press down the clay, glaze pieces, carry things,
while others put handles on cups. Mass Production adapted to make workers more productive using
less required skills, while being paid less being able to lower costs of products while boosting quality.
Mass Production and Division became the most important structure for manufacturing across the
globe, utilizing extreme impact on popular culture.
Mechanization was a huge process, that changed work that was done before only by hands or animal s
to doing work with new machinery. The cotton thread and weaving for cloth in the 1800s was a main
product for these new machines, the cloth was much nicer, softer, and cleaner than any hand made
clothing as said in the book wealthy Europeans developed a liking for the costly import. This quote
shows that wealthy Europeans were itching for the newly designed products made by these machines.
The people working in this industrial adapted well towards mechanization by being able to create
more product faster, while being less stressed at work.

grow in India.
2.3 Social/Culture Factor
When it comes to the Social factors, population, income distribution, social mobility, lifestyle, attitude
towards work and leisure, and education level are detailed elements of Social factors. For Cochlear,
attitude towards healthcare among the society is the main influencing factor. In developing countries
like India and South East Asia, the average healthcare awareness is low. To prove this, we only need to
quote words from Chundu, Manchaiah, Stephens and Kumar (2013), it appears that parentally
reported outcomes could be related to many factors including the hearing healthcare system with the
costs involved for the implanted individuals and their families . As a countermeasure, according to the
Economic Times (2010), Cochlear Limited will spend up to 15 million in India, to increase awareness.
Additionally, the Social factors are often described as culture difference. Cochlear used localization of
the communication strategy to deal with culture difference: In Europe, it cooperated with Loud Group
and designed a comprehensive program of Public Relationship, which included traditional media,
broadcast, activity, and on line DeafBlog. While in Cuba, it linked itself with Cuban Revolution s

Scottish Archaeology Essay
Scotland has an abundance of archaeology all throughout the country and all within different parts of
prehistory. Scottish archaeology has a big impact on both the rest of the UK and on the rest of Europe.
Although during the beginning of the 20th century, archaeology was seen as nothing more than labour,
with the help of the two great men which held the Abercromby chair both with their own contributions
to Scottish archaeology as a whole it soon rocketed into the discipline what we see today.
It s important to note that during the beginnings of the 20th century, Scotland s archaeology wasn t as
advanced as it is today and a simple but effective way that the honourable John Abercromby sought to
overcome this was by putting a chair in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As he believed that archaeology should become a science and the first step to do this was to establish a
systematic and significant classification for its materials (Patterson and Orser, 2004:25). However he
didn t just classify these objects, he was able to think about how everything was connected, it s
explained that he was no longer content with merely describing and classifying the objects he
uncovered; he must ascertain how they were made and whence the materials for their manufacture
came (Ibid, 36). He managed to link what he had found and connected it not only with the other
artefacts that he had found but also the rest of the landscape, by simply linking everything together he
had managed to gain a bigger picture of Scotland, he also managed to connect the prehistory of
Scotland to the prehistory of Europe by comparing artefacts and seeing the relationships between the
two (Sherrat, 1989:151). An effective way that he could show off the information that he had found
was by writing books not just for the educated upper class but also the middle class, and in many
publications he presented a synthesis of knowledge covering a vast and complex field in an
authoritative and unique manner (The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica, 2015). Whilst he was
digging at Skara Brae, visitors were not uncommon, it let them see first hand what was happening and

Psoriasis Pathophysiology Essay
Psoriasis Pathophysiology Psoriasis is a common skin disorder affecting millions of people. It affects
2 to 3% of the Caucasian population, usually in individuals between 15 and 30 years old. (Liu,
Krueger, Bowcock, 2007). There are several different forms of the disease. The most common type is
chronic plague psoriasis. It presents itself as silvery scaled patches usually on the knees, elbows, lower
back, and scalp. Outbreaks can be triggered by infection, such as strep throat, drug use, psychological
stress, hormonal changes and skin injury. The exact cause is still unknown; however, research has
provided some interesting insights into the pathophysiology of psoriasis. The most evident

Although not yet verified, natural killer T cells also seem to play a role in the development of
psoriasis. T cells are not the only increased leukocytes in psoriasis patients. Neutrophils, mast cells,
dendritic cells, and natural killer cells are also increased. Dendritic cells are the other important cell of
study for psoriasis. There are three subsets of cutaneous dendritic cells which include: immature
dendritic cells (iDC), mature myeloid dendritic cells (mDC), and plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC).
All three are increased in patients with psoriasis. These cells overall could equal or exceed the number
of T cells in lesions. (Jullien, 2006). Langerhans cells are one type of immature dendritic cell. There
job is to engulf protein antigens by pinocytosis, partially digest these proteins into shorter
polypeptides, and move these polypeptides to the surface. (Fox, 2008). Once they are at the surface,
they are associated with histocompatibility antigen, which in turn activates the T lymphocytes. As
mentioned before, this unnecessary activation of T cells will lead to the hyperproliferation and
differentiation of keratinocytes. In order for these cells to be activated in a way that causes the
inflammatory process associated with psoriasis, they must migrate to the skin. Recruitment of
leukocytes out of the blood stream into the different skin compartments is an active and selective
process. (Jullien, 2006).

The Anxiety Of Lithium Chloride Causes Mild Illness
Introduction
Animals can be conditioned to display or not display a variety of behaviors and emotions, including
taste preference. This form of conditioning has even been successfully done in humans by using
rotation induced motion sickness after consuming either a familiar or unfamiliar flavored beverage to
create a distaste for the beverage (especially the unfamiliar flavored one) (Arwas, Rolnick, Lubow,
1989).
A very common way to teach rats to dislike a certain taste is to give them injection(s) of lithium
chloride (LiCl) directly after consuming a taste stimulus. The lithium chloride causes mild illness,
which the rats connect to the taste stimulus, essentially because they believe the food/drink they
consumed caused the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For best results, LiCl should be measured as an absolute quantity, not as a volume or concentration
(Nachman Ashe 1973). These studies (among others) show that LiCl is an effective unconditioned
stimulus for taste aversion when administered in correct dosages.
Though many studies have observed the effects of taste aversion, fewer studies have focused on the
influence of feeding on this conditioned aversion. In essence, conditioning is a form of learning, and
learning requires memory. One study used the pond snail Lymnaea to show that food deprivation
lowers blood glucose levels and levels of insulin circulating; therefore, it decreases the animal s ability
to remember the pairing of taste stimulus and the noxious stimulus (Mita Koichi 2014).
This study manipulates the preference for sucrose by administering lithium chloride (LiCl) to the rats
after consumption of sucrose. The researchers sought to determine whether rats given access to free
feeding would display more or less taste aversion than rats who were deprived of food after the LiCl
injection.
Methods Materials
This study used eight adult male Long Evans rats of average size. Rats were housed separately, each in
his own cage on a nocturnal light dark cycle (lights off at 7:00 AM, lights on at 7:00 PM). Each rat
was given 1 hour of

Lorraine Hansberry Essay
Her first play, A Raisin In the Sun, is based on her childhood experiences of desegregating a white
neighborhood. It won the New York Drama Critic s Circle Award as Best Play of the Year. She was the
youngest American, the fifth woman and the first black to win the award. Her success opened the
floodgates for a generation of modern black actors and writers who were influenced and encouraged
by her writing.
Hansberry was born in 1930, the youngest of four children of Carl and Nannie Hansberry, a respected
and successful black family in Chicago, Illinois. Nannie was the college educated daughter of an
African Methodist Episcopal minister, and Carl was a successful real estate businessman, an inventor

Cover of A Raisin in the Sun
Hansberry used the success of A Raisin In the Sun as a platform to speak out for the American Civil
Rights Movement and for the African struggle to free itself from white rule. She helped raise money,
gave impassioned speeches and took part in panels and interviews to further these causes.
After her initial success she lived only six years and was able to complete only one more play, a movie
and a television script which was too racially controversial to be aired. Her second play, The Sign in
Sidney Brustein s Window, was received with mixed reviews and kept open for 101 performances
only by the contributions and support of the theatre community. It closed the night she died at 34 from
cancer. After her death Nemiroff finished and produced her final work, Les Blancs, a play about
African liberation.
Hansberry had begun to claim her identity as a lesbian in a 1957 letter to a lesbian periodical, The
Ladder. This information and her 1964 divorce from Nemiroff was not widely known at the time of
her death. In 1965 the Gay Liberation Movement did not exist and a woman could not claim such an
identity without major reprisals. It was not until the 1980s that feminist scholars began connecting

Tomorrows Designs, Classics Today
In this Exhibition, I will be looking at Haute Couture Designers Giorgio Armani and Giambattista

building their way up throughout the years and not losing the concepts of their designs being classic

meaning it s just been designed to fit the customers needs, therefore the garments have to be all

The Environmental Impacts Of The Fishing Industry In Tanzania
Introduction
The actions of those who benefit most from capitalism, result in the release of toxic byproducts into
the environments of those they capitalize off of. The people of Tanzania and their natural resources are
a prime example of exploitation. They live in impoverish communities while planes gather Tanzanian
resources and flee to the affluent countries in Europe. Tanzania contributes to the flourishing of the
European economy while dwindling its own, its environmental health, and the health of its people.
Although commentators state the fishing industry is of great assistance to Tanzania, through job
provision, that is just a glorified farce needed by bureaucrats to feel less cruel while continuing to
contribute to an industry truly meant to gut Tanzania for its resources. The most noteworthy
environmental impacts, as a result of the fishing industry, are the various types of pollution and
degradation of the environment, more specifically the aquatic ecosystem. While many environmental
issues are uncovered as the result of exporting Nile Perch, environmental degradation and pollution
are causes for greatest concern.
Degradation of the ecosystem Lake Victoria was known as one of the greatest and largest lakes in
Africa. Although after understanding the outcomes of the fishing industry, in Tanzania, such a title
should be revoked. The lake had an abundant selection of fish calculating up to 400 species. The vast
amount of fishes each had a job. For example, the

  • 3. Diversity And Equality And Diversity Diversity tends to be established by people from different spheres of life including different ethnicities, cultures, and social settings. It allows individuals to appreciate and understand the interdependence of culture, the environment in which people are living, and humanity. Diversity also helps individuals to build alliances and unity despite having a difference regarding their beliefs, religion, and culture. It helps one to recognize and appreciate that people are born different regarding their personality and values so that one can accommodate those differences and live together in peace and harmony. There are some ways through which diversity can be promoted. Some of those ways include; creating an environment that includes all persons regardless of their social status and economic background. Secondly, diversity can be improved by ensuring there is equal access to jobs and opportunity for all people without discrimination. Thirdly, diversity can be enhanced by making amendments in the organization policies, procedures, and process. Fourthly, diversity can be strengthened by ensuring people are included and treated with fairness and dignity. Fairness helps to eliminate issues and differentials because it encourages all members of the society feel appreciated. Personal Reflection What does diversity mean to you? • 4. Magnetic Properties Essay Figure 4. Side view of the [Mn4Pr4] ring in 3, showing only atoms bound to metal ions. Colour scheme as in Figure 2. Magnetic Properties The magnetic properties of compounds 1 4 were measured on polycrystalline samples dispersed in eicosane. The phase purity of the samples was demonstrated by powder X ray diffraction (see Figures S9 S12 in the SI). Fig. 5 shows the temperature dependence of χMT for 1 4. The values of χMT at 280 K are 12.1; 15.1; 18.6; 18.3 cm3 mol−1 K (1; 2; 3; 4), consistent with four uncoupled Mn(III) ions (S = 2, g = 2, χMTcalc = 12.0 cm3 mol−1 K) and four uncoupled Ln(III) ions. On lowering the temperature to 50 K, 2 4 predominately show a decrease in χMT, which is most likely caused by the depopulation of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to obtain a good match to the data at low temperature, an intermolecular interaction, zJ, was included using the mean field approximation. The simulation shown in Fig. 5 has J = +0.255 cm−1 and zJ = −0.045 cm−1. Exchange between two transition metal ions as mediated by the closed shell Ln(III) ions [La(III) at one end of the series, or Lu(III) at the other] has been found to be weak.29, 66, 67 A recent study used DFT calculations to show the exchange between Mn(III) ions across Y(III) in a Mn8Y8 disc to measure J = +0.43 cm−1,68 while antiferromagnetic coupling was observed in a linear Ni La Ni compound (J = −0.978 cm−1).69 An alternative to intermolecular antiferromagnetic interactions as an explanation for the decrease in χMT at low temperatures could be the ZFS associated with the Mn(III) ions. However, any attempt to include a contribution for the ZFS of the Mn(III) ion in the simulations was unsuccessful, because it overcompensated the weak intramolecular coupling interaction and negated the increase in χMT that is observed on lowering the temperature. To confirm the suitability of the simulated intra and and intermolecular exchange interactions found for compound 1, and to investigate the possible ZFS associated with the Mn(III) ions, we used DFT and CASSCF calculations (vide infra). Figure 5. Temperature dependence of χMT for compounds 1 4, measured under a dc field of 1000 Oe. The solid red line corresponds to a simulation of the data (see text for ... • 5. Analysis Of The Jungle, By Upton Sinclair The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair, was a novel written to expose the harsh conditions of the meatpacking industry. The novel also describes the struggles of a family living in America. The novel changed the way many looked at society. Fortunately, that was Sinclair s purpose of the novel. In other words, Sinclair included many themes for the novel like The American Dream , capitalism versus socialism, and even the horrors of the meatpacking industry. First, Sinclair included the theme of The American Dream . The American Dream is the idea that the idea that hard work and morality will yield material success and happiness. As stated in the book, rich or poor, a man was free... he did not have to go into the army, he did not have to pay out his money to public officials he might do as he pleased and count himself as good as any other man. This quote explains how Jurgis and his family thought The American Dream was like before the moved to America. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sinclair was basically trying to say socialism is better than capitalism throughout the book. As stated in The Jungle, Here was a population, low class and mostly foreign, hanging always on the venge of starvation, and dependent for its opportunities of life upon the whim of men every bit as brutal and unscrupulous as the old time slave drivers; under such circumstances immorality was exactly as inevitable, and as prevalent, as it was under the system of chattel slavery. • 6. What Is The Intimate Act Of Choreography The theme of The Intimate Act of Choreography by Lynne Anne Blom and L. Tarin Chaplin is to inform the audience on what choreography is and how to go about the creative process of dance. This book s purpose is to be a guide into choreographic process. The choreographic process, which is a series of steps that create dance and classify dance as a whole, helps the authors break down the major ideas to form smaller concepts which are used to initialize a dance. The work provides an analytical view on dance as an artform but also in making the process to simple to understand and how to use. They do this using three steps to simplify the choreographic process divide, expand, and use. These three steps are relatively simple but allow for the audience to understand the purpose of the book and transfer their newfound knowledge into the world. • 7. The Effects Of Echinacea And Its Effects On The World Echinacea is common herb that is often used to make herbal medicines. The leaves, flower and root are all typically used. It can be taken in pill form, as a liquid, or brewed as a tea. There are also many cough drops that contain echinacea. Echinacea is commonly used to fight infections, such as the common cold and other upper respiratory infections. Some individuals will take it at the first sign of the cold, while others will take it when symptoms have already started, in hopes that it will reduce the duration of the cold. Echinacea is native to North America, and was first used the Great Plains Native American tribes. In later years, the settlers followed the Native American s example and began using echinacea for their own medical purposes. As the discovery antibiotics came, individuals stopped using echinacea for lack of scientific evidence supporting its use. Echinacea activates certain chemicals in the body to decrease inflammation, which may reduce cold symptoms. The body also produces more infection fighting white blood cells, also known as T lymphocytes and white blood cells. Echinacea also stimulates the release of infernos. these cells work to kill germs, while attacking their control center to stop reproduction. Macrophages are also produced, and are in charge of eating germs more vigorously, also known as phagocytosis. • 8. My Position As A Project Assistant The focus of my position as a project assistant is document management. The document management issue I plan to address relates to other project assistants and the remote site monitor for my newest study. This study is a follow up study to a project that is already in place. All documents in our studies must go through a review process, and this process involves all members of the team. As a project assistant my department is responsible for the tracking, filing, and retrieval of trial and onboarding documents. At the end of the project our documentation is audited, and any issues that arise can impact the approval of the trial drug. The main issue that is occurring is our document turnaround time and accuracy has been struggling due to employee turnover. This can create problems when auditors reference our system to see if the approved documents were completed in a timely manner, and in some cases is a violation of our standards to have documents go without updates. For example a medical license must be verified and on file before its expiration date. Our document training varies by trial; for this specific trial we are working off a simple document tracking guide, and our own notes from management. My main goal is to improve and create a better set of tools to assist in our document management. What I intend to do is update our original guide, and create a more simple tracking tool in Microsoft excel. I have begun to update our guide by creating screen shots ... An important theme Shakespeare tries to communicate to his audience is love, and the power it has. To convey this subject, Shakespeare used three prominent ideas; eyes, and light and dark, and nighttime. As stated above one of the prominent ways William Shakespeare delivers his idea of love is through eye imagery. Throughout the play, we see examples of eye imagery in relation to love. The combination of inadequate infrastructure and the government s deliberate policy which controls access to the internet have produced an extremely slow service that is not widely available throughout the population. With better diplomatic relations with the United States the Cuban government can benefit greatly from telecommunications mostly internet advancements which can positively affect the economy in many ways. The events occurring in France opened the Haitians eyes to a point where slaves weren t the only ones in Haiti who wanted a change, but thanks to the French Revolution, everyone was angry. To begin with, the grand blancs wanted to terminate their trade agreement with France so they could sell to the highest bidder and keep the money they earned. Like the members of the Third Estate, they didn t want to be controlled by the weak and tyrannical French monarchy. Speaking of the Third Estate, they might have been located in France, but the petit blancs still associated themselves with them, which is logical, as they were poor working classmen. These blancs were inspired by the citizens in France and their determination, as well as their desire for acquiring the rights they felt they deserved. The Bosnian-Herzegovina Genocide And Ethnic Cleanse Introduction The Bosnian Herzegovina genocide or ethnic cleansing went on from April 1992 to December 1995 around the end of the Second World War. When Bosnia became its own independent nation on April 5th 1922 it wanted to cleanse its country of any non Serbian residents. The killing of Bosnian Muslims during this time was stated by international tribunals to be an ethnic cleansing however the events that took place in July 1995 in Srebrenica was so horrific it was deemed a genocide. The United Nations should have intervened a lot sooner than they did and should have sent more than just peace keepers to protect the human beings that were being slaughtered. Victims The victims targeted during the Bosnian Herzegovina genocide were mostly Bosnian Muslims and Croatians. The majority of the people that were being murdered and executed were male (boys and men), while the women were being raped and tortured. The downfall of the Ottoman Empire gave a rise to the thoughts of nationalism which in turn caused the ethno religious (an ethnic group whose members are also unified by a common religious background) in Bosnia to have clashing issues like historical problems between groups and political issues. The three different groups which were living in Bosnia were obviously Bosnians but also Serbians and Croatians. There are three subsets of cutaneous dendritic cells which include: immature dendritic cells (iDC), mature myeloid dendritic cells (mDC), and plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC). All three are increased in patients with psoriasis. These cells overall could equal or exceed the number of T cells in lesions. (Jullien, 2006). This form of conditioning has even been successfully done in humans by using rotation induced motion sickness after consuming either a familiar or unfamiliar flavored beverage to create a distaste for the beverage (especially the unfamiliar flavored one) (Arwas, Rolnick, Lubow, 1989). A very common way to teach rats to dislike a certain taste is to give them injection(s) of lithium chloride (LiCl) directly after consuming a taste stimulus. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For best results, LiCl should be measured as an absolute quantity, not as a volume or concentration (Nachman Ashe 1973). These studies (among others) show that LiCl is an effective unconditioned stimulus for taste aversion when administered in correct dosages. Though many studies have observed the effects of taste aversion, fewer studies have focused on the influence of feeding on this conditioned aversion. In essence, conditioning is a form of learning, and learning requires memory. One study used the pond snail Lymnaea to show that food deprivation lowers blood glucose levels and levels of insulin circulating; therefore, it decreases the animal s ability to remember the pairing of taste stimulus and the noxious stimulus (Mita Koichi 2014). This study manipulates the preference for sucrose by administering lithium chloride (LiCl) to the rats after consumption of sucrose. • 35. Movie Theater Research Paper For as long as I can remember, I have always loved taking part in the cinematic experience. Every aspect of it, including purchasing my ticket, eating buttery popcorn, and watching every trailer before the film completely and totally encapsulates me to this very day. So, it should come as no surprise that at the ripe age of 21, I am currently working at AMC Southdale, a high end movie theater in Edina, MN. There are certain perks that come with being an employee at AMC that benefit cinephiles such as myself exceptionally well, including free tickets to the movies. Abrams fans once the well kept secret of its existence was revealed (a characteristic the production company Bad Robot is known for) mere months before its debut. The tagline for the film, Monsters come in many forms , as well as the trailer were both very ambiguous in nature and left the viewers with several unanswered questions. It turns out, this was the perfect way to watch the movie, with very little knowledge about it. The film follows the story of Michelle, a fashion design student who, after running out on her fiancée, is involved in a car crash and ends up in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. The Environmental Impacts Of The Fishing Industry In Tanzania Introduction The actions of those who benefit most from capitalism, result in the release of toxic byproducts into the environments of those they capitalize off of. The people of Tanzania and their natural resources are a prime example of exploitation. They live in impoverish communities while planes gather Tanzanian resources and flee to the affluent countries in Europe. Tanzania contributes to the flourishing of the European economy while dwindling its own, its environmental health, and the health of its people. Although commentators state the fishing industry is of great assistance to Tanzania, through job provision, that is just a glorified farce needed by bureaucrats to feel less cruel while continuing to contribute to an industry truly meant to gut Tanzania for its resources. The most noteworthy environmental impacts, as a result of the fishing industry, are the various types of pollution and degradation of the environment, more specifically the aquatic ecosystem. While many environmental issues are uncovered as the result of exporting Nile Perch, environmental degradation and pollution are causes for greatest concern. Degradation of the ecosystem Lake Victoria was known as one of the greatest and largest lakes in Africa. Although after understanding the outcomes of the fishing industry, in Tanzania, such a title should be revoked. The lake had an abundant selection of fish calculating up to 400 species.
