Essay on Expand Ukraine’s Political Ambitions
The month of November in Ukraine was interesting, to say the least. Politically, the Ukrainian
President, Viktor Yanukovych attempts to reform amending bills, while also socially ignoring the
decline in press freedom. However, a major noteworthy article appeared on the stands: Ukraine goes
offshore. This article is probably one of the most important events that occurred in November, which
discusses revenue lost on offshore tax schemes. As an attempt to electronically expand Ukraine s
political ambitions, Viktor Yanukovych passed a recent bill early in November that will allow votes in
the Parliament to be conducted by an electronic card (Ukrainian). Although not technically
monumental, the bill will allow members of Parliament an easier ... Show more content on

He even goes as far as to say, the written press is as it was before (AFP). The information associated
with Google s article, President denies problem with Ukraine press freedom , discusses the television
networks across Ukraine as experiencing horrendous mishaps, such as the censoring of broadcasts and
the removal of episodes that go against the regulations transpired by the president. If Yanukovych does
not approve of the media associated with the press, he opposes the spreading of the ideas.
Unfortunately, Yanukovych seems to acknowledge the fact that he will only allow production of news,
journals, pictures, etc., if they portray the truth. The truth, in fact, is quite limited by the strict
regulations Yanukovych orders Ukraine s networking companies to follow. As this issue is heightened
by Yanukovych s disapproval and lack of understanding, I definitely am worried for the social state of
the nation. As someone living in a free nation, I understand the social liberties that are given to a
nation, and how it allows people to globalize their social understandings. Once Ukraine becomes
socially deteriorated by Yanukovych s policies, Ukraine will suffer with various downfalls in freedom.
I am a strong opponent to this ordeal for these reasons. I feel that Yanukoyvch continues to fear
opposition and removal from office, so he eliminates all possible enemies. By exterminating the social

Causes Of The Cuban Missile Crisis
Missiles in Cuba Build Tensions Between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R.
It was almost the start of a nuclear war, or what would be World War III. The Cuban Missile Crisis
was a major event during the Cold War. It brought the citizens of the U.S. to the edge of their seats
because, like the flip of a switch, their world could be turned upside down. John F. Kennedy and
Nikita Khrushchev were fighting for their beliefs and the safety of their own country. It was once said
that this event is when, the Cold War got hot . The Cuban Missile Crisis was the most significant in
causing the most tensions because it was the closest to home the Cold War had gotten and it deeply
impacted the citizens.

Pros And Cons Of Virtue Ethics

Flaws of Aristotelian Virtue Ethics
When most think of philosophy a list of people come to mind. You have your greats such as Plato,
Nietzsche, and of course Aristotle. However, this does not mean that their ideas cannot be challenged
and questioned, as no one is above criticism. Aristotelian Virtue Ethics have a major flaw that strikes
at the heart of the idea. There is a severe lack of guidance both in what a virtue is, and what happens
when they conflict. The mains question is, is one virtue more important than another?
What is Aristotle s virtue ethics theory exactly? Aristotle was one of the first to describe this type of
theory and he based it largely on Eudaimonism. Eudaimonism bases virtues in human flourishing,
where flourishing is equated with performing one s distinctive function well (Virtue Ethics). For
humans, Aristotle believed that our main function is reasoning and to live well we would need to
reason well. The largest part of virtue ethics is the titular virtues that decide whether or not a person
was truly flourishing or not.
To first create an argument over the conflict of virtues one must first understand what makes a virtue a
virtue. In Aristotelian Virtue Ethics, a virtue is described as something a virtuous person does. In turn,
a virtuous person is someone who does virtuous acts. This is where a big issue arises in this theory.
There are hardly any ground laws

Sea Mink Research Paper
Sea minks are now extinct but were once ranged from Casco Bay, Maine in the south to as far north as
New Brunswick, Canada. Their main habitats are coastal regions. Sea minks are usually confused with
the American mink, but the sea mink is bigger. Sea minks are on average 914mm but the American
mink is 580 700mm, so there is a good difference in size. Also the male sea minks are larger in size
compared to the females. Their fur is a reddish dark brown, and it is not known if their fur changes
during the summer and winter. There are many ways that this animal could have become extinct.
Besides humans there were no major predators known to kill this animal. The main reason for it
becoming extinct was hunting it for its fur. There was no law on how many you could catch and kill.
Another is that the young sea minks couldn t stay alive because the parents either got trapped or killed.
Putting a law on how many you could trap and kill could have possibly been one way to save this
animal. Another one could be to have a hunting season for this animal. So that when its not hunting
season the animal has time to breed. If the people didn t like having a hunting season then somebody
could have made a breeding farm so that there is a place for all the young sea minks to grow up. When

Critical Evaluation of Accounting Cycle
INTRODUCTION:
An Organization often needs a way to keep score when conducting business operations. Accounting
usually fits this need because it allows create to companies financial reports that can be compared with
other companies or an industry standard. Business owners and managers also use accounting to review
the efficiency of operations. This information may help owners and managers make business decisions
and improve the company s profitability.
Accounting is basically defined as the process of identifying, measuring and communicating economic

Financial statements are the most important reports of a business. These statements are prepared from
the information in the trial balance. The purpose of these statements is to show the reader the financial
position, financial performance and cash flows of a business, as well as other useful information
concerning the business. Financial statements are usually prepared once a year.
Financial statements consist of (amongst other things) an income statement, statement of changes in
the owner s equity, balance sheet, cash flow statement and (where needed) an auditor s report.
Thus we can say ACCOUNTING CYCLE indicates the technique of preparing financial statement for
the consumption of different stockholders within a given guideline. Accounting Cycle is a Technique:
The accounting cycle begins when business transactions are entered into the journal. Transactions
include all events that impact any of the company s accounts, such as cash on hand, or accounts
receivable, or bank loans payable. Journal entries accumulate in chronological order the order in
which they occur. The second step in the accounting cycle is transferring (posting) journal entries into
a ledger or ledgers, where they are organized first by account, and then chronologically within

The During The Reconstruction Era
During the Reconstruction era which occurred after the Civil War there was animosity between the
states as well as the debate over how freed slaves should be dealt with in terms of becoming citizens
with the same rights as the Constitution provided for whites. The government had to come up some
type of conditions which would attempt to allow the rebellious southern states back into the union.
During this time period President Abraham Lincoln appointed provisional military governors to
oversee the re establishment of the southern states into the union as well as a functioning government.
Yet, during the late 1800 s the Republicans ruled Congress and made efforts during the Reconstruction
end to ensure that everyone had the same equal rights by passing the Civil Rights Bill to ensure that
everyone had equal rights. This also led to questions as to what to do with the recently freed blacks.
The main problem was with the Southern states and getting them to except black, so the government
implemented laws and Constitutional Amendments which helped the federal government with the
enforcement of equal rights which would give blacks in the south the rights to hold office and vote.
This leads us to the freeman s Bureau which was also a part of the Reconstruction Act. The
Reconstruction act of 1867 required southern states to except and ratify the 14th Amendment granting
equal protection for the freed blacks, and the 15th Amendment guaranteed the right for blacks to vote.

Spotify Impact
Streaming has had a massive impact on the the music industry within the last few years. One of the
most well known impacts for the music industry, was the launch of Spotify in 2008, which has
changed the way people listen to music ever since. It has been argued that Spotify do not pay out
fairly to artists but this can also be argued to be due to bad contract deals with record companies.
There are many recognizable examples of why mainstream artists are against music streaming, Lady
Gaga claimed she only earned £108 from one million listens in 2010. Spotify is a legal service and
pays to license songs from all major record labels and although Spotify pays royalties for all the
listening that occurs on their service, they distribute nearly 70% of revenues back to the right holders,
such as; publishers, distributors and the independent artists themselves. Therefore, as reported by the

As explained by Spotify officials, they work around the basis that the more users they get, the more
money they can pay out (Knopper, 2014). Along with Spotify there are many more streaming sites,
such as Tidal and Apple Music. Most recently, singer Adele has not allowed her latest album 25
available on many streaming services but it is still expected to be the best selling album of the year.
Adele stated she would have allowed streaming services to the new album, if it was restricted to pay
but Apple refused to do this. It can be debated that mainstream artists are restricting their music being
put on streaming sites due to business or just taking a stand. By artists not streaming their music, sites
such as iTunes have a rise on their digital sales. Any retailer prefers this as it is Encouraging more

Kaiser, Frederick. Crwon Prince and Kaiser suffered from hoarseness which means having a vocal
tone characterized by weakness of intensity and excessive breathiness, the hoarse voice of the

Gerhardt saw that the Prince had an irregular projection of the left vocal cord and diagnosed him with
Polypoid (nonmalignant growth or tumor protruding from the mucous lining of an organ such as the
nose, bladder, or intestine, often causing obstruction) which continued to grow. A few months later, on
May of 1887, The Prince was diagnosed with Epithelioma (benign or malignant tumor derived from

Brutality And Violence
Is Violence Ever the Answer?
Throughout history, violence has led to destruction of societies, the oppression of cultures, the murder
of innocents and the needless destruction of valuable property; but when justified, violence has
positive outcomes such as the birth of civilisations, the defeat of evil and the liberation of the
oppressed. Violence is often justified on two occasions, when you are defending yourself or others
from an act of violence, or as a last resort if you are being threatened. While using violence on these
occasions is justified, when not warranted violence is a malicious force that should never be
unleashed.
Violence and brutality is destructive and should be avoided if it is not justified. When not warranted,

New York s Fourth Congressional District
In the congressional election coming this November, the Democratic and Republican candidates will
be fiercely campaigning for the Fourth District s seat in the House of Representatives. In the analysis
of the electoral race, we will closely examine various aspects of the district including demographics,
income and wealth, religious preference, important federal issues in the area, partisanship, and
previous voting patterns. New York s 4th District is located on the eastern portion of the state, near
Long Island. It includes the traditionally republican area of Garden City and the towns around it,
making the district one out of six congressional districts in New York whose lines fall completely
within a single county. Nassau County is famous for containing the Gold Coast, the setting of F. Scott
Fitzgerald s world renowned book, The Great Gatsby (Nassaulandtrust.org). The elections in the
fourth district of New York have favored the Democratic Party as of late, but the race is closer than it
has been for years; the competitive air surrounding the upcoming election is the result of the district s
many redevelopment projects, the well received behavior of Republican representatives in local
government, the high concentration of wealth in the area, and the 2010 census redistricting and
removal of strongly democratic minority precincts (Michael Barone and Chuck McCutcheon 2013).

well as many other film techniques to thrill the audience and keep them on the edge of their seats from
the beginning of the film to the very end. The scenes we have just viewed are a typical example of
Hitchcock s great ability to tell a story in a horrific way and haunt the viewers for a long time after
their experience with the thrilling movie. He is able to get into the audience s minds and scare them
into never wanting to have another shower again. Psycho contains many symbols and techniques that
pushed the limit of acceptable filmmaking in the 1960 s. The film centers on the encounter between a
secretary, Marion Crane (Leigh), who ends up at a secluded motel after embezzling money from her
employer, and the motel s disturbed owner manager, Norman Bates (Perkins), and its aftermath. When
originally made, the film was seen as a departure from Hitchcock s previous film North by Northwest,
having been filmed on a low budget, with a television crew and in black and white. Psycho initially
received mixed reviews, but outstanding box office returns prompted reconsideration which led to
overwhelming critical acclaim and four Academy Award nominations, including Best Supporting
Actress for Leigh and Best Director for Hitchcock. It is one of Hitchcock s best films today.

The Side Effects Of Vaccination
Vaccination is a biological preparation that builds immunity to a particular disease. Getting shots are
vital in getting prepared in epidemics. If more than half the population is vaccinated, it can block
further outbreaks. Although it may prevent future outbreaks of viruses, vaccinations has side effects
that prompts many families to avoid getting vaccination. Anti vaccination movement has become huge
issue where many people are blaming medical practices of vaccination for the cause of wide range of
health problems. Many families with newborn babies eschew vaccination because of many
controversial issue of vaccines resulting in health problems, the ineffectiveness, and the inhumane
ingredients used in vaccines. Many parents avoid vaccination for their baby because of many health
problems it can bring. There are many side effects to vaccination such as fever, rash, swelling, and
redness. In rare cases, deadly side effects such as serious allergic reaction can lead to death. In May
10, 2015 an article from New York Times, there were two deaths of babies and 29 were sickened in
Mexico due to vaccination for tuberculosis, rotavirus, and hepatitis B.1 This led to a temporary pause
in vaccinations world wide, and encouraged other families with newborn babies to avoid getting
vaccines. The controversial conflict arose when many deaths occurred due to deadly allergic reactions
from vaccination. According to Center for Disease Control, all vaccines carry a risk of life threatening

The Fight For Contraceptives By Margaret Sanger
Margaret Sanger, a New York and an active feminist, led the fight for contraceptives, which are
methods or devices to prevent pregnancy. Sanger, whose mother at a young age because she had
birthed eleven children, helped shape her into a very individualistic and assertive woman. She was a
part of the Socialist party, while studying to be a nurse, and starting a family of her own. In 1912, she
began to work in the slums with the poor immigrant women who lived there. Her experience in the
slums with these women, helped shaped her strong opinion on why women should be in control of
childbearing. This was not the only thing that shaped it, but helped further her outlook after she was a
witness to her own mother s death. Her final call to action though was the ghastly stories of self
induced abortions and the tales of more than horrific pregnancies.
Sanger s movement to push for birth control caused her to be closely watched by the law enforcement.
She repeatedly sent informative brochures about contraceptives out to the public and opened a birth
control clinic in Brooklyn; it impudently went against Comstock Act and several other laws. In 1920
Sangers methods became less extensive and that same year she founded the American Birth Control
League, now known as Planned Parenthood. This was one of the biggest milestones in her career as a
feminist. In 1925 she gave her memorable speech The Children s Era at the first birth control
conference. When she delivered the speech she

Good Residential Plumber
Most people don t put too much thought into finding a good residential plumber until there s an actual
problem and there are disruptions in service or damaging leaks in the home. The thing about it,
according to the expert team at Flo Rite Plumbing, based in Kailua Kona, HI, is that plumbing
problems don t follow a set schedule; issues can emerge and spiral out of control any time of day. This
is why a 24 hour plumber can prove to be absolutely invaluable when things are going wrong.
When should you rely on a 24 hour plumber? This quick breakdown should clear things up:

Factors Influencing The Adoption Behavior Of Coffee Producers
Selected explanatory variables
A micro level approach was used in order to test which factors influence the adoption behavior of
coffee producers with regard to SMPs. The model incorporates farm and management characteristics,
the socioeconomic profile of producers and social capital indicators. Table 1 presents the descriptive
statistics of the data collected.
Several factors that were considered are accepted as common predictors of adoption in developing
countries. However, three questions related to explanatory variables were not included in the final
questionnaire. Firstly, we did not take into account access to bank loans since coffee farmers in
Mexico are mostly unable to obtain investment credit from lending institutions. Producers usually
have the option of obtaining short term financing (cash advances) either from local traders or from
coffee cooperatives for those who are members. However, the availability of long term credit has
virtually disappeared making it difficult for producers to defer the costs of implementing new
practices over several years (AMECAFE, 2009).
Secondly, tenure arrangements were not considered since households in the sampled area are governed
by a communal land resources committee, an institution independent of the municipality. Under this
system, producers hold usufruct rights to their coffee parcels. While a 1991 amendment to the
Mexican constitution made the privatization of communal lands (ejidos) possible it remains the
dominant type

Classical Approach To Utilitarianism
2.1. Classical approach
The Classical approach for utilitarianism has two main prominent thinkers who are Jeremy Bentham
and John Stuart Mills.
Jeremy Bentham s concept of Utilitarianism
The concept of Utilitarianism was developed by Jeremy Bentham (1748 1832). He belonged to the
positivist school of Jurisprudence. According to him every human life is governed by two hedonistic
principles that is pleasure and pain. He believed that every individual tries to maximize his own and
pleasure and also decrease pain as much as possible. Although it would seem an individualistic
perspective but he also applied this principle to the society as a whole. According to him the role of
every government in the society is to maximize the greatest good of the greatest number. He also ...

He placed weight on the effectiveness of internal sanctions like guilt and remorse which serve to
regulate our actions. He believed that humans are those sorts which have social feelings, feelings for
others and are not only selfish. We care about people around us and when one inflicts harm over the
other then it leads to a painful experience in us. One feels guilty for what one has done. With this he
argued that conscience and sense of justice are emotions present in every human being through which
comes the sense which involves a desire to punish those who have harmed others.
Just like Bentham Mill also sought to reform law and social policy with his theory of utilitarianism.
The aim of increasing happiness underlies his argument of women s suffrage and free speech. It can be
seen best in his arguments regarding social status of women. He argued that it was important to
improve the status of women because they were capable of these cultivated faculties, and denying
them access to education and other facilities for development is resulting in a significant loss of source
of happiness for the

What Are Gay Rights Wrong
LGBT Rights
Same sex marriage: A civil right or a moral wrong? In many eyes same sex marriage is a disgusting
thing that should not be allowed. In some cases, dating as far back as the early 1800s, men were
castrated, and sometimes even killed. In more recent times, gays, lesbians, and transgender people
have become more accepted, but there is still a vast amount of people who want to kill people like
that. The people in the LGBT community are often denied adoption, for reasons that are not valid,
such as Lesbian and gay people are more likely y be child molesters. There has also been many
lawsuits involving the mistreatment of LGBT people. People in the LGBT community are often
denied the basic rights of heterosexual couples because of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Supreme Court had stated that the laws barring homosexual sodomy are not lawful. In the Bowers
v. Hardwick case of 1986, Michael Hardwick was arrested and accused of committing sodomy with a
consenting adult male in the privacy of his own home. He argued that what he was being accused of
was unconstitutional. The before mentioned Windsor case involving the death of Thea Spyer, is
another example of mistreatment. When Edith Windsor was forced to pay over $300,000 on her wife s
estate, money she would not have had to pay had she been the husband of Thea Spyer. As previously
said, Windsor argued against DOMA which indicated that marriage was between Heterosexual
couples. What DOMA stated was ruled unconstitutional, and Windsor was refunded her money with
interest. Finally, an additional instance of LGBT maltreatment is the Lawrence v. Texas case. In 1998,
John Lawrence, and Tyron Garner were condemned on sodomy charges, when police responded to a
false report that the men had illegal weapons. When the police broke into the house, they did not find
illegal weapons, but two homosexual men engaged in intercourse. After that, they were each fined
$200. The two men appealed their charges in court, and it was ruled that the sodomy law didn t violate
the constitutions of both Texas, and the U.S. In June 2003, it was said that, The petitioners are entitled
to respect for their private lives. The State cannot demean their existence or control their destiny by
making their private sexual conduct a crime. Their right to liberty under the Due Process Clause gives
them the full right to engage in their conduct without intervention of the government. ( Gay; Lesbian
Rights. ) The court then overruled this case. As it is shown in these cases, people in the LGBT
community are often

Hate Crimes Against Gays Essay
In October of 1998, America finally became aware of how deadly discrimination can be. In Laramie,
Wyoming, 21 year old college student Matthew Shepard was brutally beaten by two men and tied to a
fence, left for dead. Matthew s murderers set out only to rob him, but ended up beating him so
severely that he never regained consciousness before he died. Why did this happen in the first place?
Simply because Matthew was gay. Matthew s death became a national symbol of violence against
homosexuals, prompting prayer vigils and calls for state and federally supported hate crime laws.
Today, America prides itself on being a tolerant country. Through laws and legislation, including
affirmative action, anti hate crime laws, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is true that some of the first cases of HIV and AIDS in America were found in gay males. However,
once the disease was more widely researched, it was discovered that people other than gays could
become infected with the virus, including children, women, and recipients of blood transfusions.
Promiscuity among homosexuals is no more common than among straight people ( Sexual Behaviors
Text 2 ). While having multiple partners and sharing needles through drug use are common causes of
AIDS, these things are not exclusive to the gay community.
Many people also believe in a so called Gay Agenda. Among other things, gays are supposedly trying
to convert heterosexuals, especially young children, to the other side. Homosexuals are allegedly
attempting to spread their disease throughout America. The idea that homosexuals recruit children is
based falsely on the idea that a person s sexual orientation is a choice, not a natural state. Children
cannot be turned gay merely by contact with a member of the gay community ( About the Religious
Right ). According to the American Psychological Association, research suggests that the homosexual
orientation is in place very early in the life cycle, possibly even before birth. It is found in about ten
percent of the population, a figure which is surprisingly constant across cultures, irrespective of the
different moral values

The explanation for the increase in wireless network costs is explained as a result of an increase in the
average cost per unit, driven by a shift to higher priced units in the mix of devices sold, partially offset
by a decline in the number of units sold. While Wireless costs went up, Selling, general and
administrative expenses went down. This was due to non operational credits recorded in 2015. A
contributing factor of this was a decline in sales commission in the Wireless segment. This drop in
commissions was due to an increase in consumers choosing to use the device payment plan rather than
point of sale purchase. Depreciation and amortization expenses also decreased in 2015. This was due
to Depreciation and amortization expenses not being recorded on Wireline assets in California,
Florida, and Texas. These Assets are classified as held for sale as of February 5, 2015. Verizon
explained their reasoning for this in the review by stating We will not record depreciation and
amortization expense on our depreciable Wireline assets in California, Florida and Texas through the
closing of the transaction with Frontier, which is expected to occur at the end of the first quarter of
2016. (Verizon, 2015) Overall

South Syrian City Of Deraa Devolved Into A Full Blown...
In March 2011, peaceful protests in the southern Syrian city of Deraa devolved into a full blown civil
conflict. Within the last five years, more than 12.2 million people have been impacted, with 7.6
million people displaced inside Syria and more than 3.8 million displaced in neighboring nations. The
majority of refugees are now living in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt and Iraq. The current concern
about the humanitarian crisis is whether the aid is reaching refugees or being diverted in ways that
bolster a prolonged civil war. For this essay s purpose, aid is defined as aid and action designed to
save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain and protect human dignity during and in the aftermath of
man made crises and natural disasters, as well as to prevent and strengthen preparedness for the
occurrence of such situations.
Although the current aid set up is intended to cover all existing needs inside Syria, national and
international aid is being highly controlled by the Bashar al Assad regime, and aid beyond the
Damascus borders is extremely limited. Recently, there have been numerous reports issued by the
Syrian government that opposition rebels are seizing international aid, and rebels responded with
accusations of regime forces starving besieged towns. Thus, humanitarian aid organizations are
required to distribute aid through local non governmental organizations (NGOs) that are already
operating at full capacity and have a limited geographical scope. This atmosphere

Deconstruction In The Story Of An Hour By Kate Chopin
Going over literary texts isn t like reading other contents we have. We, as analysists ought to know
about each word that has sense or significance, on the grounds that this type of content isn t there just
to give us a delight in analyzing it, it gives us more insight. The insight we receive, we can discover it
straightforwardly or by implication in the text. If the insight isn t obvious in the text you must uncover
it. It s sort of like a profound breaking down to uncover it. One of the hypothesis that we can utilize is
deconstruction. I will be using the deconstruction approach for The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin.
The Story of an Hour is a common story that could happen in everyday life, however has further
importance to investigate. The story tells us about the illegal bliss of a spouse, Louise Mallard, for her
new autonomy since she received the news that her other half, Brently, kicked the bucket. The story
starts when Louise got the news that her significant other passed away from a train accident. At that
point she went to her room, began to sob, and in that room she envisions numerous things about the
bitterness and distress until the satisfaction and delight overcome her. In any case, her happiness was
at its peak when her significant other got back home, and it turned out to be a lie. Specialists arrive
and articulate that Louise passed on of a heart attack expedited by bliss.
Now deconstruction was discovered by Jacques Derrida. Deconstruction is a

The Nature of Online Communities Essay
The Nature of Online Communities
What brings people together on the internet? Is it the desire to find a friend and a community or is it

person that they have always wanted to be? Or, is it what Rheingold states in his article The Virtual

these adults have filled the general post board full of games to play. Rarely are there any personal

approximately fifty members, only ten people post daily on this site and communicate with each other

the members. Her virtual community was there to offer encouragement and love in her times of trials.

  • 3. Essay on Expand Ukraine’s Political Ambitions The month of November in Ukraine was interesting, to say the least. Politically, the Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovych attempts to reform amending bills, while also socially ignoring the decline in press freedom. However, a major noteworthy article appeared on the stands: Ukraine goes offshore. This article is probably one of the most important events that occurred in November, which discusses revenue lost on offshore tax schemes. As an attempt to electronically expand Ukraine s political ambitions, Viktor Yanukovych passed a recent bill early in November that will allow votes in the Parliament to be conducted by an electronic card (Ukrainian). Although not technically monumental, the bill will allow members of Parliament an easier ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He even goes as far as to say, the written press is as it was before (AFP). The information associated with Google s article, President denies problem with Ukraine press freedom , discusses the television networks across Ukraine as experiencing horrendous mishaps, such as the censoring of broadcasts and the removal of episodes that go against the regulations transpired by the president. If Yanukovych does not approve of the media associated with the press, he opposes the spreading of the ideas. Unfortunately, Yanukovych seems to acknowledge the fact that he will only allow production of news, journals, pictures, etc., if they portray the truth. The truth, in fact, is quite limited by the strict regulations Yanukovych orders Ukraine s networking companies to follow. As this issue is heightened by Yanukovych s disapproval and lack of understanding, I definitely am worried for the social state of the nation. As someone living in a free nation, I understand the social liberties that are given to a nation, and how it allows people to globalize their social understandings. Once Ukraine becomes socially deteriorated by Yanukovych s policies, Ukraine will suffer with various downfalls in freedom. I am a strong opponent to this ordeal for these reasons. I feel that Yanukoyvch continues to fear opposition and removal from office, so he eliminates all possible enemies. By exterminating the social ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Cuban Missile Crisis was a major event during the Cold War. It brought the citizens of the U.S. to the edge of their seats because, like the flip of a switch, their world could be turned upside down. John F. Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev were fighting for their beliefs and the safety of their own country. It was once said that this event is when, the Cold War got hot . • 5. Pros And Cons Of Virtue Ethics Martin Zemlock Ethics in Public Private Life Essay Dr. Dan Johnson 11/15/2017 Flaws of Aristotelian Virtue Ethics When most think of philosophy a list of people come to mind. You have your greats such as Plato, Nietzsche, and of course Aristotle. However, this does not mean that their ideas cannot be challenged and questioned, as no one is above criticism. Aristotelian Virtue Ethics have a major flaw that strikes at the heart of the idea. There is a severe lack of guidance both in what a virtue is, and what happens when they conflict. The mains question is, is one virtue more important than another? What is Aristotle s virtue ethics theory exactly? Aristotle was one of the first to describe this type of theory and he based it largely on Eudaimonism. Eudaimonism bases virtues in human flourishing, where flourishing is equated with performing one s distinctive function well (Virtue Ethics). For humans, Aristotle believed that our main function is reasoning and to live well we would need to reason well. The largest part of virtue ethics is the titular virtues that decide whether or not a person was truly flourishing or not. To first create an argument over the conflict of virtues one must first understand what makes a virtue a virtue. In Aristotelian Virtue Ethics, a virtue is described as something a virtuous person does. In turn, a virtuous person is someone who does virtuous acts. This is where a big issue arises in this theory. There are hardly any ground laws ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Sea Mink Research Paper Sea minks are now extinct but were once ranged from Casco Bay, Maine in the south to as far north as New Brunswick, Canada. Their main habitats are coastal regions. Sea minks are usually confused with the American mink, but the sea mink is bigger. Sea minks are on average 914mm but the American mink is 580 700mm, so there is a good difference in size. Also the male sea minks are larger in size compared to the females. Their fur is a reddish dark brown, and it is not known if their fur changes during the summer and winter. There are many ways that this animal could have become extinct. Besides humans there were no major predators known to kill this animal. The main reason for it becoming extinct was hunting it for its fur. There was no law on how many you could catch and kill. Another is that the young sea minks couldn t stay alive because the parents either got trapped or killed. Putting a law on how many you could trap and kill could have possibly been one way to save this animal. Another one could be to have a hunting season for this animal. So that when its not hunting season the animal has time to breed. If the people didn t like having a hunting season then somebody could have made a breeding farm so that there is a place for all the young sea minks to grow up. When the baby sea ... • 8. The During The Reconstruction Era During the Reconstruction era which occurred after the Civil War there was animosity between the states as well as the debate over how freed slaves should be dealt with in terms of becoming citizens with the same rights as the Constitution provided for whites. The government had to come up some type of conditions which would attempt to allow the rebellious southern states back into the union. During this time period President Abraham Lincoln appointed provisional military governors to oversee the re establishment of the southern states into the union as well as a functioning government. Yet, during the late 1800 s the Republicans ruled Congress and made efforts during the Reconstruction end to ensure that everyone had the same equal rights by passing the Civil Rights Bill to ensure that everyone had equal rights. This also led to questions as to what to do with the recently freed blacks. The main problem was with the Southern states and getting them to except black, so the government implemented laws and Constitutional Amendments which helped the federal government with the enforcement of equal rights which would give blacks in the south the rights to hold office and vote. This leads us to the freeman s Bureau which was also a part of the Reconstruction Act. The Reconstruction act of 1867 required southern states to except and ratify the 14th Amendment granting equal protection for the freed blacks, and the 15th Amendment guaranteed the right for blacks to vote. • 9. Spotify Impact Streaming has had a massive impact on the the music industry within the last few years. One of the most well known impacts for the music industry, was the launch of Spotify in 2008, which has changed the way people listen to music ever since. It has been argued that Spotify do not pay out fairly to artists but this can also be argued to be due to bad contract deals with record companies. There are many recognizable examples of why mainstream artists are against music streaming, Lady Gaga claimed she only earned £108 from one million listens in 2010. Spotify is a legal service and pays to license songs from all major record labels and although Spotify pays royalties for all the listening that occurs on their service, they distribute nearly 70% of revenues back to the right holders, such as; publishers, distributors and the independent artists themselves. As explained by Spotify officials, they work around the basis that the more users they get, the more money they can pay out (Knopper, 2014). Along with Spotify there are many more streaming sites, such as Tidal and Apple Music. Most recently, singer Adele has not allowed her latest album 25 available on many streaming services but it is still expected to be the best selling album of the year. Adele stated she would have allowed streaming services to the new album, if it was restricted to pay but Apple refused to do this. It can be debated that mainstream artists are restricting their music being put on streaming sites due to business or just taking a stand. Her final call to action though was the ghastly stories of self induced abortions and the tales of more than horrific pregnancies. Factors Influencing The Adoption Behavior Of Coffee Producers Selected explanatory variables A micro level approach was used in order to test which factors influence the adoption behavior of coffee producers with regard to SMPs. The model incorporates farm and management characteristics, the socioeconomic profile of producers and social capital indicators. Table 1 presents the descriptive statistics of the data collected. Several factors that were considered are accepted as common predictors of adoption in developing countries. However, three questions related to explanatory variables were not included in the final questionnaire. Firstly, we did not take into account access to bank loans since coffee farmers in Mexico are mostly unable to obtain investment credit from lending institutions. Producers usually have the option of obtaining short term financing (cash advances) either from local traders or from coffee cooperatives for those who are members. However, the availability of long term credit has virtually disappeared making it difficult for producers to defer the costs of implementing new practices over several years (AMECAFE, 2009). Secondly, tenure arrangements were not considered since households in the sampled area are governed by a communal land resources committee, an institution independent of the municipality. Under this system, producers hold usufruct rights to their coffee parcels. He believed that every individual tries to maximize his own and pleasure and also decrease pain as much as possible. With this he argued that conscience and sense of justice are emotions present in every human being through which comes the sense which involves a desire to punish those who have harmed others. Just like Bentham Mill also sought to reform law and social policy with his theory of utilitarianism. The aim of increasing happiness underlies his argument of women s suffrage and free speech. A contributing factor of this was a decline in sales commission in the Wireless segment.
