Lack Of Higher Education In The United States
Those pursuing higher education within the United States are facing financial obstacles and unfair
opportunity, especially pertaining to those living within poverty. Whether or not our upcoming
generations will be given the same, if not a greater opportunity towards higher education, is dependent
on our countries decision towards educational reform. Higher education through the spectrum of equal
opportunity, is generating concern from both the public as well as the government; and while the topic
continues to be debated, the debt surrounding our countries educational system continues to grow. The
Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings has brought this issue forward by creating a National
Commission to address Higher Education on a governmental level; the National Commission is
directing the attention towards the countries costs and accountability pertaining to higher education. ...

The public perception seems to be paying their attention towards the concern of long term debt, and
that most individuals are now seeing higher education as more of a risk rather than a possible
advantage towards their future. The United States higher education system is failing the people of this
country by its ability to segregate the poor from the rich, and generate debt which shows no signs of
digression. The United States needs to address the problem of higher education if we wish to continue
to compete on a global scale. Education should be less about the money and more about knowledge;
the noble thing for our government to do would be to provide the necessary resources for all
individuals so they may pursue their intelligence with equal opportunity; the individuals of this
country have the right to be given a fair chance to educate themselves, regardless of their

Women s Struggle For Equal Rights
In pre Revolutionary France and America, Women had no political rights and were forced to rely on
men. The women were destined to live a life of a house wife, she was only seen competent enough in
society to raise and educate kids and take care of her household. In both countries, the revolution
increased the population s attention to political matters and made liberty and equality very important
to the people. Unfortunately, Women did not claim any rights during this time, but the women of the
French Revolution and the activities they were implicated in heavily influenced the movement and
struggle for equal rights. Their March on Versailles, their political clubs and pamphlets, and the
prominent women political figures were vital assets that influenced the struggle and movement for
equal rights during the 19th and 20th century in France. During that period, due to the abolition of the
censorship and the liberty to publish, some writers argued for the women s struggle for liberation and
suffrage like Judith Sargent Murray with her Essay On the Equality of the Sexes , which protested the
idea that men had greater intellectual capacities then women, As well as other French writers such as
Olympe de Gouges who wrote several plays, short stories and novels in which she expressed that
women and men are different, but this shouldn t stop them from equality under the law. Additionally,
De Gouges was the author of the Declaration of the Rights of Woman and the Female Citizen in

10 Spitfire Facts
The Meaning behind Aircrafts Anxiety. Fear. Sadness. These are the things that the courageous
members of the allied Air Forces all felt during the time of WWII. Several different types of fighting
were used in WWII, battleships, tanks, and legions of soldiers, but the most useful, and perhaps the
most deadly of all was flying a military aircraft. Aircrafts were powerful tools in the war, yet they
were also a very expensive price to pay. The risk of using aircraft in combat was high, but it was
extremely useful to the allied forces. First, during the dark time of WWII, there were four main types
of planes: fighters, bombers, seaplanes, and transport aircraft. Fighters such as the Spitfire and the

Kraft and Cadbury Merger
Kraft Cadbury Merger Just 27 months ago Kraft and Cadbury, two of the most exclusive firms in the
snack production industry consummated the final merger decision after negotiating for several
months. This essay lays out why this merger came to fruition and the reasons it made strategic sense

well as accounting methodology. Synopsis of Kraft and Cadbury Kraft Foods Inc., also known as

How Technology Has Changed Our Lives Essay
Technology in America has been a huge part of its growth over the past twenty years. Major
innovations in technology have contributed to many sectors of society and created thousands of new
jobs across the country. Many companies over the years have created and distributed several different
types of electronics to make our lives easier. The main products that have made our lives that much
better are the cellular phone and computer. There are many companies that produce and sell
electronics, but the top leaders are Apple and Samsung. Even though these companies sell similar
products, they have very different beginnings. Apple was founded in April 1976 by Steve Wozniak,
than 26 years old, and Steve Jobs, 21, which were both college dropouts. Jobs and Wozniak made their
first computer in 1976 for a computer hobbyist club. They began to gain some attention and sold 200
computers to a hobbyists in the San Francisco Bay area for $666 each. During that summer, Wozniak
began work on the Apple II, which was designed to appeal to a broader market than just computer
hobbyists. Jobs and Wozniak had the general consumer in mind by making a more attractive modular
beige plastic container. In 1979 Apple introduced the Apple II+ with a lot more memory than the
Apple II and an easier startup system. In 1984 Apple began producing the well known Macintosh
computer. In the beginning, Macintosh sales temporarily dropped off after a great start. They began to
make new Macintosh computers with

A Shortage Of Food Causing A Food Crisis Is Sweeping The...
Since 2008, a shortage of food causing a food crisis is sweeping the globe. The breadbasket of the
world, the United States also cannot escape it. There is not always enough food for this world, so
people have tried all kinds of ideas to produce more food. Unfortunately, land is limited for every
country, and people have to raise the output of every land. At the beginning, people used grafting.
Grafting merges the advantages of two plants. For example, the seedling of a corn which is drought
tolerant was transplanted to another kind of corn which is high producing, and the final corn will be
drought tolerant and high producing. Though the result is very good, it s very difficult and expensive
to transplant every plant. People innovated hybridization plants, but they are not stable. When the
gene was found, many scientists began researching how to transplant the gene to another plant, and
then we created Genetically Modified Organism food.
Farmers have widely adopted GM technology. Between 1996 and 2013, the total surface area of land
cultivated with GM crops increased by a factor of 100, from 17,000 square kilometers (4,200,000
acres) to 1,750,000 km2 (432 million acres). 10% of the world s croplands were planted with GM
crops in 2010. In the US, by 2014, 94% of the planted area of soybeans, 96% of cotton and 93% of
corn were genetically modified varieties. In recent years GM crops expanded rapidly in developing
countries. In 2013

Dr. Mullins Case Study

03/14/16, 03/21/16 and on 03/28/16. On 03/07/16, Allana told him that her ultimate goal would be to
run longer than 20 minutes without her back buckling . She also explained to him that high intensity
workouts were her favorite. Throughout the month of March, she continued to have spasms and pain
in her upper back, lower back, and in her neck. Her ribs also continued to be very sore. Her diagnoses
on 03/21/16 was pain in the lower back, and muscle spasms in her back, neck and mid back. Her
diagnosis also included segmental and somatic dysfunction of the head, cervical, thoracic and lumbar
spine, her sacrum and sprain of her ribs. In April, she went to see Dr. Mullins on 04/04/16 and
04/18/16. By 04/18/16, she was slightly better as far as the intensity of her pain, but she still had pain
and the muscle spasms still plagued her up and down her spine. Allana was re examined on 05/02/16.

painfully clear in her records is that her spine is damaged, and her life has drastically changed. One
day she is doing slightly better, but within a day, or just a few days, she is not doing so well again.
This is so tiring for Allana. She cannot plan ahead or know if she will have a good day over any

up having a bad day the next day. If it weren t for this wreck, she could plan anything she wanted on

My Papa s Waltz And Daddy Comparison
Theodore Roethke s My Papa s Waltz , Robert Hayden s The Whipping , and Sylvia Plath s Daddy are
all poems written about children getting beaten but have differing narrators and varying times.
Although these poems may be about the same topic, they are presented in different points of view by
the narrators. My Papa s Waltz is in the first person point of view as it s happening, The Whipping is
also presented as it is happening, but is presented third person, however; Daddy is written as a
reflection in the first person. While My Papa s Waltz and Daddy are written in the first person, they

The boy says that the waltzing was not easy, which could refer to dancing with his drunk dad or that
the father harming the child and that the son is linking it to a dance instead of a beating (Roethke 552).
It is because of this that Roethke s poem could mean that his father and he are dancing or that the boy
is getting hit. It is because of this widely interpretable part of the poem that there are three different
ideas on what the poem actually means. The first one is that the child look to his father with fear and
joy. The other two sides are a like in the fact that they think that the poems intensity. One of them
thinks that the poem has a more joyful mood because their personal experience when their father
became drunk and loved them instead of hurting them (Fong 79 80). On the flip side of the coin,
people think that the poems tone is more fearful because in the beginning they hear that the fathers
been drinking and is now scaring the mother and the son instead of being a happy story (Fong 80).
Bobby Fong thinks that the poem is like a seesaw... hard, dirt, clinging), (80). This shows that he
thinks that the story has both fearful parts and joyful parts. However, in Hayden s The Whipping there
isn t as much room for interpretation because it basically describes clearly an adolescent getting
whipped publicly. In Hayden s

Education Trends Paper
Education Practices
Educational practices are developed through the results of research and studies showing how theory,
research, and practice work together to achieve positive outcomes (Dignam, Duffield, Stasa, Gray,
Jackson, Daly. 2012. p. 69). A nurse administrator must set a model of excellence to provide the
learner opportunities that encourage current trends in the healthcare setting to ensure quality patient
care. The purpose of this paper is to look at trends in education and how these educational practices
will influence my role as a nurse administrator.
Leadership and Education Trends
In reviewing current trends, educators must take into account adult learning principles that include
three different styles. These styles consist of the auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. Programs
must be developed to include or to allow the adult learner to choose their preferred learning style. For
example, Donna Wright provides a competency program that is designed around eleven different
elements of competencies.
The evolution of multimedia as an educational medium allows nurse educators additional tools to
promote several learning styles to meet the needs of the adult learner (Lua Pei, Nor Khaira Wahida,
2014. p. 3 ). The development of programs and educational opportunities utilizing evidenced based
practice ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Looking at our aging nursing workforce, the competencies needed to function as a leader in nursing
education is more crucial than ever. There needs to be a strong foundation for the best educational
practices for future leaders to obtain the knowledge and skills to advance the science of nursing
education (Patterson Krouse, 2015). These educational programs need to be of high quality and be
evidence based. The success of teaching and learning in nursing programs is contingent upon strong
leadership within schools of

They miss his satirical views, his beautiful observations, and his skillful choice of words. This lack of
respect for the importance of individual words prompted Cummings attack of most people. His
bitterness is directly related to his struggle to get this particular collection of poetry his seventh

Edward Estlin Cummings has always had an affinity for language. Early in life he penned a couplet,
which illustrates his reliance on the power of simple observation:
O, the pretty birdie, O; with his little toe,toe,toe! (Norman, 1958, p. 26)
This appreciation for one s ability to observe and interpret was influenced by Cummings upbringing.
Born on October 14, 1894, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Edward Estlin had the gift of caring,
intelligent, progressive parents. His father, Edward, graduated from Harvard in 1883, with a degree in
philosophy. He then studied at Oxford, with the Reverend Samuel A. Barnett and Professor Estlin
Carpenter (who made enough of an impression on the young Edward to cause him to choose to name
his son after him.) Edward Cummings went on to teach political economy and sociology at Harvard

Why Did Ancient Astronomers Study
Star Spotters by David Jefferis 8 202
Question: How did ancient astronomers study the sky?
Answer: These people used their eyes to look at the stars, moon, and sun. They also used an astrolabe
which could pinpoint and predict the moon, stars, planets, and sun s location. This information helped
them know when to plant their crops.
Question: What positive things does the sun do for us?
Answer: Life on Earth wouldn t be possible without the sun. It gives us light and warmth. Also, by
studying the sun, we can predict weather forecasts. These aided farmers in knowing when they should
plant and harvest their crops. The sun s energy also helps power many electrical appliances on Earth
and in space.

J. M. Barrie s Peter Pan
Peter Pan, a play written by J.M. Barrie, follows a poor family of five: the workaholic Mr. Darling, the
loving Mrs. Darling, and their children Wendy, John, and Michael. One night, the children are lured to
Neverland by Peter Pan, the boy who refuses to grow up. In Neverland, the children are met with
dangerous adventures and are constantly pursued by Pan s nemesis Captain Hook. But over time, the
children begin to miss their family and decide to return home. In Peter Pan, Barrie uses the similarities
between Peter Pan and Mr. Darling, as well as Peter Pan and Captain Hook, to highlight that Peter Pan
is not a real entity, but a construction of eternal youth created by the adult desire to preserve childhood
forever.

Darling, that the desire to be a child forever is not only Peter Pan s wish, but the wish of adults as
well. Jacqueline Rose went so far as to say Peter Pan offers us the child for ever. It gives us the child,
but it does not speak to the child (58). When Rose says us she is referring to adults. It is the adult that
wants Peter Pan to stay young forever, not the child. Although Peter explicitly states, I want always to
be a little boy and to have fun there follows a parenthetical, so perhaps he thinks, but it is only his
greatest pretend (1354). The parenthetical suggests that perhaps this eternity in childhood is not
actually Peter s desire, but a lie he has invented to stay young forever. The question then becomes
why. The answer is revealed in Hook s heartbreak at Pan s loss of his memories (1351). Hook
embodies the fear of adults, the fear of the ticking clock. However, Hook is unable to escape the
crocodile of time, so he attempts to live forever through Peter Pan s memory, but he is ultimately
unsuccessful. Peter s inability to remember Hook symbolizes the moving of time, a childhood Hook
can never go back to and an immortality he can never attain. By overlapping the characters of Hook
and Mr. Darling onto Peter Pan, Barrie both erases the child while simultaneously creating an artificial
eternal childhood constructed by and for

media online, on various different sites. Whether that is audio, video, or images, there are a whole host
of different platforms in which users can upload their content on to and, in turn, can interact with other

The Dangers Of A Semi Truck Accident
The average vehicle weighs 5,000 pounds. However, an empty semi truck can weigh over 40,000
pounds. The legal maximum weight of a semi truck in America is 80,000. Because semi trucks are
much larger than cars, a semi truck accident can very easily result in devastating injuries.
Some of the most common semi truck accident injuries include brain injury, spinal cord damage, loss
of limbs, paralysis and organ trauma. In fact, people who are involved in a semi truck accident are 10
times more likely to die than those involved in a car accident.
Common Causes Of Semi Truck Accidents

Commercial trucks are required to comply with both federal and state service standards. The purpose

looked down on all the inhabitants of Weichuang, thinking even the two young scholars not worth a

book portrayed the personality and behavior of Ah Q. winning a psychological victory was obvious

`` The Day They Tied Me Up ``
Sharon Olds was born in San Francisco on November 19, 1942. At age fifteen, she was sent to a
boarding school in Massachusetts. Many of her poems focus on difficult childhood and the body. As
Olivia Laing, literary critic of several literary novels and publications, says, The physical body is a
document of being, physical experience is the primary mode of forming, and physical contact is the
primary human relationship. Like Whitman, Olds celebrates the body in its pleasures and pains. She is
a contemporary poet who focuses on autobiographical poems mostly of sexual or violent nature and
personal experience. She particularly resonates with women readers and women s connections with
family members and lovers of the past and present through physical, sexual, and emotional means.
She writes frequently about her sadistic, alcoholic father and victimized mother. Her dysfunctional
family plays an enormous role in her poetry, especially in The Day They Tied Me Up. This poem is
inspired by true events and the feelings and emotions felt by the poet during a memorable aspect of
her childhood. When Olds was eight years old, she emptied a bottle of ink onto her parents bedspread
and was tied to a chair as punishment. In perception by Maurice Merleau Ponty, a French philosopher
commonly associated with the philosophical movement of existentialism, he demonstrates Olds s

The perspective of Ramzi was awful. It takes hard work to get a mentality like his and his recruiters.

Introduction
Background Henry Ford
Founded in 1903, Henry Ford managed to get investor support to open the first manufacturing
automobile company in Detroit, Michigan. Ford Motor Company has been known for its mass
production of vehicles using a perfected assembly line method and its innovations in the automobile
industry. Ford s famous Model T was developed as an innovative automobile that could be produced
quickly, while keeping the cost to a minimum. This allowed people with a lower income the
opportunity to afford an automobile. One of the biggest changes in the automobile industry occurred
in 1913 with the introduction of a perfected assembly line method. This assembly line method was the
one of the main reasons Ford Motor Company was able to keep the cost of vehicles and the production
time to a minimum. Ford also took the first step to increase wages of their employees above the
industry standard. Although it was still a very low value, Ford offered $5 per day which was a huge
improvement from the $2.34 per day that most companies offered.
By the 1930 s Ford was a primary target of the United Automobile Workers (UAW) union to increase
wages and working conditions. Despite attempts by Henry Ford to keep the Unions out of the
company, the Supreme Court rulings forced Ford to work with the UAW. Another sentence....

Evolutionary History of Gray Wolves
Evolutionary History of Gray Wolves
The gray wolf is one of the world s most well known and well researched animals with more
documentation on them than any other wildlife species. It is a canid whose main habitats are in the
wilderness of remote areas in North America, Eurasia and North Africa. It is the largest member of the
wolf family, usually weighing between 70 and 120 lbs, and closely resembles in general appearance
and proportions to a modern day breed of dog known as the German Sheppard, although they typically
have a larger head, narrower chest, longer legs, straighter tails and bigger paws. The narrow chest of
the gray wolf allows for swift and efficient movement through the common elements of their
environment such as snow, brush and other conditions. Their larger heads indicate their higher level of
intelligence and their large paws, webbed with fur aid in movement across mud and snow. The colour
of a gray wolf s fur lives up to its name and is predominantly a mottled gray although the gray wolf
can also have fur that is nearly pure white, mixes of red, brown, or black. Being very social animals,
gray wolves do mostly everything in packs of 2 15 animals; living, traveling and hunting. They can
hunt and feed off smaller game, yet with their large pack size, they can work collectively to bring
down large game such as deer, moose or bison. There are 37 recognized subspecies of the gray wolf in

Understanding Disability Stereotyping And Popular...
UNDERSTANDING DISABILITY STEREOTYPING AND POPULAR MISCONCEPTIONS
ABOUT DISABILITY.
Having a physical disability is a stigmatised attribute that is usually associated with stereotypes of
incompetence. As a result of these stereotypes, individuals often experience economic and medical
disadvantages(Roeher Institute,1996). People with disability are less likely to hold a job because
employers tend to judge these individuals by their perceived limitations, rather than their actual
abilities and potential.
Evidently, the first thing that comes to mind when disability is mentioned is a wheelchair because of
the symbol that is used to represent it. Yet only 5% of disabled people do actually use wheelchairs.
Under the Equality Act 2010 (Great Britain). A person is considered to be disable if they have a
physical impairment which has a substantial and long term adverse effect on their ability to perform
normal day to day activities. Disability can be classified into two types: Physical impairment and
Mental impairments .
Physical impairments include anything from loss of a limb, sensory impairment(paralysis), blindness,
deafness and generally everything that alters physical appearance and performance of an individual.
Mental impairments include learning disabilities such as Down syndrome, Developmental disorders
such as Autism, Asperger, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia. Also mental issues such as OCD, Depression,

The First Amendment Speaks On The Freedoms Of Religion

WRIT 3037
17 October 2016
Free Art The First Amendment speaks on the freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly and
petition; so important, they found their place in the US Constitution. Even with these freedoms
meaning so much to the majority of America, somehow today we still encounter differences in
political and religious views that seem to provoke people to act violently against a piece of art or even
physically against the artist that created it such as in the recent case of artist Illma Gore. Often the
violent action of destroying a work of art is more offensive than the image itself. We should allow
artists free reign of subject matter as well as style and work together to prevent art desecration and
violence through education of the arts. Censorship is the result of the fear of art. When the fear of art
turns into iconoclasm or, rejection of a valued belief system, that fear becomes lack of government
funding, desecration, and physical violence.
Visual artists fell through the gaps and did not receive federal support for their work until the creation
of the NEA or National Endowment for the Arts in 1965. This federal program had little funding but
proved a growing interest in art and art viewing from the public. This demand for art creates a demand
for funds to support venues and museums so they can keep their doors open. A problem with the NEA
is that they provide government funding, which prevents them from being biased about

Jap A Dominant Country Conducting Whaling Practices
I. Introduction:
For many decades, Japan is well known as a dominant country conducting whaling practices for many
purposes such as obtaining whale meat and oil (Facts about Japan, n.d.). Whaling has been one of the
most important industry in Japan since the WW II post war that provides huge amount of protein and
helps fed Japanese citizens (Animal Planet, n.d.). It is believed that the coastal villages were where
hunting whales was first claimed to take place in shore with hand thrown harpoons, but it was not the
main interest of many people (Whalingmuseum, n.d.). It was not until the 17th century that whaling
industry had a dramatic development due to an invention of hunting in groups of boats using net

1. Social:
It is evident that whaling practices can lead to a reduction in the population of whales, ecosystem
degradation, and even cause the species to the brink of extinction (International Whaling Commission,
n.d.). The main factors causing the problem are over exploitation, disturbance from whaling vessels,
entanglement in fishing gears, and environmental factors (International Whaling Commission, n.d.).
According to the WDC (n.d.), more than 36,700 whales were killed after the 1986 moratorium in
which Japan accounted for nearly 20,000 whales. The International Whaling Commission (n.d.)
reported that the common whales hunted by Japanese, which are Minke, Fin, Sei, Sperm, Bryde s and
Humpback whales, were severely exploited and depleting in terms of population in the Japanese
whaling grounds before the 1986 moratorium. In addition, the operation of whaling fleets apparently
causing noise pollution affecting the communication process of whales and other marine species as
well (Lian Lu, n.d.). Whales are one of the top level animals in the marine food chain, therefore, a
decline in whale population definitely have an impact on the marine ecosystem. Lian and Lu (n.d.),
have said that whale s dead body is a great source of food for the marine animals in a lower depth of
the ocean. Thus, the more whales killed by whaling practices, the less food for others sea creatures and
organisms (Lian Lu, n.d.). Also, nutrients in

Optimism And Pessimism In The Great Gatsby
I believe that the three texts that I have studied contained moments of optimism and pessimism which
in turn have shaped my opinion of the general vision and viewpoint. This alludes to the feelings and
emotions portrayed through the omniscient camera in The King s Speech , the morally inclined
narrator Nick Caraway in The Great Gatsby and the protagonist in the novel Foster . I was very
intrigued to find out more about these societies and the vision the author/director hoped to convey.
The Great Gatsby opens in the boom years in the summer of 1922, commonly known as the Jazz Age .
The opening is conveyed as a mix of optimism and pessimism. At first we are introduced to Nick

In T.K.S, Bertie faced a barbaric upbringing which he solemnly shared with Logue. This is evident
when he revealed how cruel his nanny was, tunelessly singing She pinch me so I d cry, and be sent

notice. As you can imagine, it caused some stomach problems. This left me feeling much more
sympathetic towards Bertie and further implemented my pessimistic opinion of the portrayal of
children in the past. This is also seen in T.G.G as Pammy, Daisy s daughter is only seen once during
the entire 1920 s novel and we realise that she, like Bertie, had nannies who took care off her rather
than her parents. A sense of negativity is also conveyed towards children here as Gatsby ,when first
introduced to Pammy, was described as looking at the child with surprise. I don t think he had ever
believed in its existence. she is described as an it and Gatsby then realises that he can t repeat the past
with Daisy and that his obsessive longing for her was a waste of time. I believe that this pessimistic
feeling was a factor in his volatility towards Tom in the Plaza. Similarly in Foster , Mildred like a
predator, pounced on the innocent protagonist and questioned her about the Kinsella s personal affairs
such as where does the old dog sleep, Is she allowed to spend.... . Mildred then inconsiderately
informed the little girl of the Kinsella s boy s passing, stating sure didn t he follow that auld hound of
theirs into the slurry tank and drown...... The soft hearted fool. in a callous tone. Personally I feel that

The Mongol Empire And The Impact Of The Mongol Empire
Revised paper proposal and bibliography
The Mongol empire was one the greatest empires of all time expanding all over Central Asia.
Bordering Chinese states, the Khwarazmian empire, present day Afghanistan, Siberia, Iran, and many
more, at its height the mongol empire was over 20,000,000 square kilometers. This was all possible
due to extraordinary men in Central Asia, ruled by Genghis khan emperor of the Mongol empire.
These Asian nomads along with their fearless and intelligent leader, flourished against numerous odds
impacting all those whom they waged war against. A recipient of this impact in particular was Russia.
It was around 1219 when the Mongols first entered the Kievan Russia marking the beginning of the
interactions of the two. With the Mongols rise in establishing one of the largest contiguous empire in
history and having Russia only distances away the collision of the two were inevitable. As history
shows this collision did happen in the year 1236 which marked the beginning of great impact that the
Mongols would have on the Russian empire culturally, politically, and economically.
Prior to the rise of the Mongol empire and their invasion of Russia, was a time of violence. Mongolia
separated by tribes and provinces was a non unified empire with little impact to Central Asia. Being
separated, feuds between provinces of power and money were the reason why Mongolia remained
separated. The provinces after a long a grueling process eventually became united by a

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Global Funding Institutions
Global funding institutions such the World Bank and the IMF play a significant role in the economic
and business enhancement of developing countries. These organizations provide funds to assist
developmental programs and projects in developing and already developed countries. The World
Bank, along with IMF funds vital and fundamental projects in crucial areas. They funds things like
free education, subsidized health care through insurance covers and provide relief for these nations in
times of great economic crisis (Tulchinsky Varavikova, 2009). However, researchers have listed a lot
of disadvantages associated with these two international funding institutions.
According to Tulchinsky and Varavikova (2009), there is a lot of evidence to be viewed as important
examples of the effects of the World Bank and the IMF Funding on economic areas. Studies have
shown that IMF has established a corrupt system implying neocolonialism that seeks to expose the
developing nations for the benefit of the rich developed countries. The IMF has placed the economy in
a state of environmental destruction. The developed countries account for the highest amount of
harmful and toxic environmental emissions (Lee, 2005). China, United States, Canada and Japan
being part of the developed nations stand a better chance of economic survival and proliferation due to
the lenient policies favoring its existence.

The Value Of Loan Payment Essay
Annuity Due an annuity due in which all the cash flow occurs at the beginning of each period ( Titman
et al, 2014,p. 167). Annuity dues are payment such as apartment rent payment at the beginning of the
period. The outstanding of the loan information is helpful beyond the professional front. The
outstanding interest rate can be calculated by using the same formula as a present value with a slight
variation. The present outstanding value of the loan = PMT [1 1/ (1+ annual rate of interest/m)
^number of years *m / annual rate of interest/m]. Here, m is a number of times compounding occurred
in the year. Note The book Financial management suggests the balance amount of loan one owes must
be equal to the present value of the remaining loan payment (Titman et all, 2014). The information
regarding the calculation of loan and outstanding loan gave us a fair idea about how the loan financing
occur. Another important aspect learned is how the principle and interest affect the amount of any
loan. This knowledge also brought other factors into consideration such as refinancing mortgage loan
cost. The refinancing cost involves distinct hidden costs such as appraisal fee, legal fee, origination
fee, and application. Hence, if one plan to refinance the loan by getting attracted to lower interest rate.

  • 2. Lack Of Higher Education In The United States Those pursuing higher education within the United States are facing financial obstacles and unfair opportunity, especially pertaining to those living within poverty. Whether or not our upcoming generations will be given the same, if not a greater opportunity towards higher education, is dependent on our countries decision towards educational reform. Higher education through the spectrum of equal opportunity, is generating concern from both the public as well as the government; and while the topic continues to be debated, the debt surrounding our countries educational system continues to grow. The Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings has brought this issue forward by creating a National Commission to address Higher Education on a governmental level; the National Commission is directing the attention towards the countries costs and accountability pertaining to higher education. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The public perception seems to be paying their attention towards the concern of long term debt, and that most individuals are now seeing higher education as more of a risk rather than a possible advantage towards their future. The United States needs to address the problem of higher education if we wish to continue to compete on a global scale. Education should be less about the money and more about knowledge; the noble thing for our government to do would be to provide the necessary resources for all individuals so they may pursue their intelligence with equal opportunity; the individuals of this country have the right to be given a fair chance to educate themselves, regardless of their ... • 3. Women s Struggle For Equal Rights In pre Revolutionary France and America, Women had no political rights and were forced to rely on men. The women were destined to live a life of a house wife, she was only seen competent enough in society to raise and educate kids and take care of her household. In both countries, the revolution increased the population s attention to political matters and made liberty and equality very important to the people. Unfortunately, Women did not claim any rights during this time, but the women of the French Revolution and the activities they were implicated in heavily influenced the movement and struggle for equal rights. Their March on Versailles, their political clubs and pamphlets, and the prominent women political figures were vital assets that influenced the struggle and movement for equal rights during the 19th and 20th century in France. During that period, due to the abolition of the censorship and the liberty to publish, some writers argued for the women s struggle for liberation and suffrage like Judith Sargent Murray with her Essay On the Equality of the Sexes , which protested the idea that men had greater intellectual capacities then women, As well as other French writers such as Olympe de Gouges who wrote several plays, short stories and novels in which she expressed that women and men are different, but this shouldn t stop them from equality under the law. Additionally, De Gouges was the author of the Declaration of the Rights of Woman and the Female Citizen in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Several different types of fighting were used in WWII, battleships, tanks, and legions of soldiers, but the most useful, and perhaps the most deadly of all was flying a military aircraft. Aircrafts were powerful tools in the war, yet they were also a very expensive price to pay. The risk of using aircraft in combat was high, but it was extremely useful to the allied forces. First, during the dark time of WWII, there were four main types of planes: fighters, bombers, seaplanes, and transport aircraft. Fighters such as the Spitfire and the Hawker Fury were used as prime weapons against ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The many different models of planes were helpful in their own unique way. It seems the most helpful of all was the Supermarine Spitfire. Not only did we pay money for the Air Force, we paid for it with the lives of the courageous members of the Force. The dark time of WWII definitely scared this Earth for many years, and military aircraft are just a reminder of the time. However, the reminder of WWII doesn t have to be painful. Since 1945, people have begun to love the old planes used in battle. Many people like to go to airshows, where old military aircraft set to the sky in a performance of skill. My own grandpa, who is past 80 years old, decorates his house with models of aircrafts from the time. Air Space magazine says, Combat Aircrafts that were everyday companions to airmen in the WWII generation have become extraordinary treasures to many in the next , and many have proved this to be ... • 7. A Shortage Of Food Causing A Food Crisis Is Sweeping The... Since 2008, a shortage of food causing a food crisis is sweeping the globe. The breadbasket of the world, the United States also cannot escape it. There is not always enough food for this world, so people have tried all kinds of ideas to produce more food. Unfortunately, land is limited for every country, and people have to raise the output of every land. At the beginning, people used grafting. Grafting merges the advantages of two plants. For example, the seedling of a corn which is drought tolerant was transplanted to another kind of corn which is high producing, and the final corn will be drought tolerant and high producing. Though the result is very good, it s very difficult and expensive to transplant every plant. People innovated hybridization plants, but they are not stable. When the gene was found, many scientists began researching how to transplant the gene to another plant, and then we created Genetically Modified Organism food. Farmers have widely adopted GM technology. Between 1996 and 2013, the total surface area of land cultivated with GM crops increased by a factor of 100, from 17,000 square kilometers (4,200,000 acres) to 1,750,000 km2 (432 million acres). 10% of the world s croplands were planted with GM crops in 2010. In the US, by 2014, 94% of the planted area of soybeans, 96% of cotton and 93% of corn were genetically modified varieties. In recent years GM crops expanded rapidly in developing countries. Jacqueline Rose went so far as to say Peter Pan offers us the child for ever. It gives us the child, but it does not speak to the child (58). When Rose says us she is referring to adults. It is the adult that wants Peter Pan to stay young forever, not the child. Although Peter explicitly states, I want always to be a little boy and to have fun there follows a parenthetical, so perhaps he thinks, but it is only his greatest pretend (1354). The parenthetical suggests that perhaps this eternity in childhood is not actually Peter s desire, but a lie he has invented to stay young forever. The question then becomes why. The answer is revealed in Hook s heartbreak at Pan s loss of his memories (1351). Hook embodies the fear of adults, the fear of the ticking clock. However, Hook is unable to escape the crocodile of time, so he attempts to live forever through Peter Pan s memory, but he is ultimately unsuccessful. Peter s inability to remember Hook symbolizes the moving of time, a childhood Hook can never go back to and an immortality he can never attain. Ford s Organizational Changes Of The Automobile Industry Ford s Organizational Changes Kimberly Rape Dana Mandell Chamindu Kavindra Organizational Behavior November 14, 2014 Introduction Background Henry Ford Founded in 1903, Henry Ford managed to get investor support to open the first manufacturing automobile company in Detroit, Michigan. Ford Motor Company has been known for its mass production of vehicles using a perfected assembly line method and its innovations in the automobile industry. Ford s famous Model T was developed as an innovative automobile that could be produced quickly, while keeping the cost to a minimum. This allowed people with a lower income the opportunity to afford an automobile. One of the biggest changes in the automobile industry occurred in 1913 with the introduction of a perfected assembly line method. This assembly line method was the one of the main reasons Ford Motor Company was able to keep the cost of vehicles and the production time to a minimum. Ford also took the first step to increase wages of their employees above the industry standard. Although it was still a very low value, Ford offered $5 per day which was a huge improvement from the $2.34 per day that most companies offered. By the 1930 s Ford was a primary target of the United Automobile Workers (UAW) union to increase wages and working conditions. Despite attempts by Henry Ford to keep the Unions out of the company, the Supreme Court rulings forced Ford to work with the UAW. Another sentence.... With war ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. Evolutionary History of Gray Wolves Evolutionary History of Gray Wolves The gray wolf is one of the world s most well known and well researched animals with more documentation on them than any other wildlife species. It is a canid whose main habitats are in the wilderness of remote areas in North America, Eurasia and North Africa. It is the largest member of the wolf family, usually weighing between 70 and 120 lbs, and closely resembles in general appearance and proportions to a modern day breed of dog known as the German Sheppard, although they typically have a larger head, narrower chest, longer legs, straighter tails and bigger paws. The narrow chest of the gray wolf allows for swift and efficient movement through the common elements of their environment such as snow, brush and other conditions. Their larger heads indicate their higher level of intelligence and their large paws, webbed with fur aid in movement across mud and snow. The colour of a gray wolf s fur lives up to its name and is predominantly a mottled gray although the gray wolf can also have fur that is nearly pure white, mixes of red, brown, or black. Being very social animals, gray wolves do mostly everything in packs of 2 15 animals; living, traveling and hunting. They can hunt and feed off smaller game, yet with their large pack size, they can work collectively to bring down large game such as deer, moose or bison. Having a physical disability is a stigmatised attribute that is usually associated with stereotypes of incompetence. As a result of these stereotypes, individuals often experience economic and medical disadvantages(Roeher Institute,1996). People with disability are less likely to hold a job because employers tend to judge these individuals by their perceived limitations, rather than their actual abilities and potential. Evidently, the first thing that comes to mind when disability is mentioned is a wheelchair because of the symbol that is used to represent it. Yet only 5% of disabled people do actually use wheelchairs. Under the Equality Act 2010 (Great Britain). A person is considered to be disable if they have a physical impairment which has a substantial and long term adverse effect on their ability to perform normal day to day activities. The First Amendment Speaks On The Freedoms Of Religion Hannah Bing Judy Hatcher WRIT 3037 17 October 2016 Free Art The First Amendment speaks on the freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition; so important, they found their place in the US Constitution. Even with these freedoms meaning so much to the majority of America, somehow today we still encounter differences in political and religious views that seem to provoke people to act violently against a piece of art or even physically against the artist that created it such as in the recent case of artist Illma Gore. Often the violent action of destroying a work of art is more offensive than the image itself. We should allow artists free reign of subject matter as well as style and work together to prevent art desecration and violence through education of the arts. Censorship is the result of the fear of art. When the fear of art turns into iconoclasm or, rejection of a valued belief system, that fear becomes lack of government funding, desecration, and physical violence. Visual artists fell through the gaps and did not receive federal support for their work until the creation of the NEA or National Endowment for the Arts in 1965. This federal program had little funding but proved a growing interest in art and art viewing from the public. This demand for art creates a demand for funds to support venues and museums so they can keep their doors open. A problem with the NEA is that they provide government funding, which prevents them from being biased about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Social: It is evident that whaling practices can lead to a reduction in the population of whales, ecosystem degradation, and even cause the species to the brink of extinction (International Whaling Commission, n.d.). The main factors causing the problem are over exploitation, disturbance from whaling vessels, entanglement in fishing gears, and environmental factors (International Whaling Commission, n.d.). According to the WDC (n.d.), more than 36,700 whales were killed after the 1986 moratorium in which Japan accounted for nearly 20,000 whales. The International Whaling Commission (n.d.) reported that the common whales hunted by Japanese, which are Minke, Fin, Sei, Sperm, Bryde s and Humpback whales, were severely exploited and depleting in terms of population in the Japanese whaling grounds before the 1986 moratorium. • 34. Optimism And Pessimism In The Great Gatsby I believe that the three texts that I have studied contained moments of optimism and pessimism which in turn have shaped my opinion of the general vision and viewpoint. This alludes to the feelings and emotions portrayed through the omniscient camera in The King s Speech , the morally inclined narrator Nick Caraway in The Great Gatsby and the protagonist in the novel Foster . I was very intrigued to find out more about these societies and the vision the author/director hoped to convey. (speaks) Took three years for my parents to notice. As you can imagine, it caused some stomach problems. This left me feeling much more sympathetic towards Bertie and further implemented my pessimistic opinion of the portrayal of children in the past. This is also seen in T.G.G as Pammy, Daisy s daughter is only seen once during the entire 1920 s novel and we realise that she, like Bertie, had nannies who took care off her rather than her parents. A sense of negativity is also conveyed towards children here as Gatsby ,when first introduced to Pammy, was described as looking at the child with surprise. I don t think he had ever believed in its existence. she is described as an it and Gatsby then realises that he can t repeat the past with Daisy and that his obsessive longing for her was a waste of time. I believe that this pessimistic feeling was a factor in his volatility towards Tom in the Plaza. Similarly in Foster , Mildred like a predator, pounced on the innocent protagonist and questioned her about the Kinsella s personal affairs such as where does the old dog sleep, Is she allowed to spend.... . Mildred then inconsiderately informed the little girl of the Kinsella s boy s passing, stating sure didn t he follow that auld hound of theirs into the slurry tank and drown...... Bordering Chinese states, the Khwarazmian empire, present day Afghanistan, Siberia, Iran, and many more, at its height the mongol empire was over 20,000,000 square kilometers. This was all possible due to extraordinary men in Central Asia, ruled by Genghis khan emperor of the Mongol empire. These Asian nomads along with their fearless and intelligent leader, flourished against numerous odds impacting all those whom they waged war against. According to Tulchinsky and Varavikova (2009), there is a lot of evidence to be viewed as important examples of the effects of the World Bank and the IMF Funding on economic areas. Studies have shown that IMF has established a corrupt system implying neocolonialism that seeks to expose the developing nations for the benefit of the rich developed countries. The IMF has placed the economy in a state of environmental destruction. The developed countries account for the highest amount of harmful and toxic environmental emissions (Lee, 2005).
