The Arrow And The Goat Short Story
The Arrow and the Goat A Hunger Games Fanfiction

When I wake up the other side of my bed is cold. Prim must of crawled into our mother s bed seeking
warmth in the dark and stormy night. This gives me ample time to get out of bed without waking her
up on this tiring weekend. Well, in District 12 every weekend is a tiring weekend. District 12 is the
coal district, we mine coal from the mines, and send it to other districts and the Capitol. This means
we re also the poorest district in Panem. Coal mining is not a very profitable occupation. We don t get
enough food to survive.
Every day I go to the border that is lined with electric lines.
Sometimes you can hear their buzz, but since we re in district 12 it s usually off most of the time
because of energy shortages. I put my ear close to the lines, it s silent, all you can hear are the birds
and the animals on the other side. A perfect source of food.
The woods are my second home, I learned everything I need to survive in the woods from my dad. As
long as you can find yourself, you will always survive, he used to say. He would of gone hunting with
me today, if he hadn t died in the coal mines. He did leave pieces of himself out in the woods though,
his wooden bows he made for me. I walk to a log and pull it up slightly, there lies my bow, with a
sheath of arrows. I

Indian Removal Act Report
After the removal, Indians began to completely change their culture to live as an American culture.
Schools were created and they had their own newspapers as well as their own governments (Peppas
2013, page 41). They wore the same clothes as Americans (Indian Affairs). Throughout the years, they
have been able to create their own governments and were recognized by the American government.
The Indians had every reason not to trust Americans after all they went through being constantly
pushed off their land. They were always seen as two separate groups and Americans have treated the
Indians as less than them until recently. The government began to see that the way the Indians were
treated was wrong and should have never been forced to move. There was never an official apology
for the Indian Removal Act and treatment until 2009, when President Barack Obama signed the Native
American Apology Resolution into law (Peppas 2013, page 43). This was to improve the relationship
with us and Indians today and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They helped with negotiating treaties through the Indian Removal Act (Indian Affairs). They have
created laws that affect everyone and gives Indians more rights. These new acts help in creating better
relationships for Indians and Americans and increase trust in each other. When the Indian Removal
Act was in place, whites were in control, but now the Bureau of Indian Affairs is made up almost
entirely of Indians (Indian Affairs).
One law to help Indians is The General Allotment Act of 1887 An Act to Provide for the Allotment of
Lands in Severalty to Indians on the Various Reservations (Our Documents). This benefitted Indians
by seeing them as individual people instead of tribes as a way to thank the Indians for changing their
culture by providing each head of the house with property of their own (Our

Climate Change And Life Expectancy. The Current Rate Of
Climate Change and Life Expectancy
The current rate of at which the world is being affected by climate change; one may be convinced to
believe that the earth will not be able to be inhabited by any other generation. The perfect clarification
of these claims has been the reduction in the life span and the increase in the number of diseases that
are actually attacking human beings all because of climatic change. The impact of climate change has
been felt and this has had a negative impact on the lives of animals and human beings (Baker, Judy
World Bank., 3). There has been a huge debate on whether climatic change is responsible for the
decline in the life expectancy among human beings as well as animals. This essay is based on the facts

countries hence the increase in the rate of complacency. The point also explains why developing
country usually relies on foreign aid as means of sustaining their own economies.
Initially animals used to have very long time span in that goats or even cattle could stay for years and
yet they are still very productive. This has certainly changed as result of climatic changes. The animals
used to live longer as a result of cold temperatures that used to slow down their rates of metabolism
hence the longer life span. Temperatures today are very high as a result of climatic changes. The
increased temperatures have actually led to increase in the metabolic rate of the animals hence the
reduction in the life span. This explains why animals today cannot even live for more than five years
and then remain productive all along as animals could live for a whole decade but still remain very
productive. It is believed that the presence of favorable climatic conditions usually increase the life
span of animals or even plants by more than 20 percent. This is very reason the people back in the
1700s all the way to the late 1800s used to live long and they were not really exposed to the kind of
diseases that people are currently exposed to (Letcher, T. M, 49).
One of the main factors that have actually led to the reduction in the life expectancy

2016 Lectures On Human Evolution
CARTAApril 29, 2016 lectures on human evolution
The CARTA lectures on human evolution included lectures from Joshua Akey from the University of
Washington, Kay Prüfer from the Mark Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, and Tony
Capra from Vanderbilt University. Each of the speakers talked in some detail about the interbreeding
of Neandertals, Denisovans, and modern humans. However, each speaker talked about a different
aspect of the breeding. Akey spoke about Neandertal and Denisovan DNA in modern humans and
their effects. Prüfer discussed the interbreeding of Neandertals and Denisovans and how it affects the
relationship of Neanderthals and Denisovans to modern humans. Lastly, Capra spoke on the
phenotypic effects of Neandertal DNA in modern humans.
Akey opened his lecture with a question: how widespread were ancient introgression events? He
sought to answer how long ago did archaic humans and modern humans interbred and how many
times did they interbreed. Akey mentioned that for a while there was a debate whether hybridization
even occurred between archaic humans and modern humans. This was an ongoing debate until fairly
recently when there was data that was obtained through sequencing the Neandertal and Denisovan
genomes that supported that archaic humans did indeed mate with other modern humans. He
mentioned that a problem with sequencing is that it can be hard to find a suitable specimen that has
been well preserved.
Akey and his student wanted to excavate

Comparing The Turtles In John Steinbeck s The Grapes Of Wrath
In John Steinbeck s novel The Grapes of Wrath he devoted a whole chapter about a turtle crossing the
road, but it was not just a filler, it had a deeper meaning to it. The chapter told of a turtle that had to
cross a highway and along the way it encounters a few hardships. The real reason Steinbeck added the
turtle was to have it symbolize the Joad s journey from Oklahoma to California. During the Joad s trip
to the west coast they definitely had their fair share of bumps in the road, just like the turtle
experienced while crossing the road. Despite all of the obstacles faced by both the Joad s and the
turtle, they both managed to make it to their destination and achieve their goal. The turtle is a symbol
of the Joad family and migrant workers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the end of the chapter, the turtle was able to reach the other side, but it was not easy. The turtle
started off struggling to even make it on to the highway in the beginning, and once it got up on to the
highway the turtle was hit by a truck. The turtle did not let the truck stop it from making it to the other
side and eventually the turtle accomplished its goal. The old humorous eyes looked ahead, and the
horny beak opened a little, (Steinbeck 22). This was just after the turtle finished crossing the road, and
it was looking ahead ready to conquer any more challenges that would be thrown at it later. Just like
the turtle, the Joad s also managed achieve their objective by reaching California. For the Joad family
it was also not the simplest thing to do, they encountered a significant amount obstacles and hurdles
along the way, but ultimately won against all of the curve balls thrown at

Abstract
God has a plan to reconcile His relationship with man after sin entered the world. This plan revolves
around making His name known throughout all tribes and nations. From the Old Testament to the New
Testament, the Bible presents God s missionary purpose for humanity. For this reason, Christians
involved in missions will travel to dangerous places to proclaim God s name and saving power.

Introduction
Christians share a common given goal, which is to make the name of God known throughout the
world, to every nation, tribe and tongue. The Great Commission given by Jesus is the fuel and the
reason Christ s followers risk all for the sake of God s name. God will continue to sponsor and support
His people until the work is complete.
Koreans in North Korea form one group of unreached people. People Groups website defines a
unreached people group as one where there is no indigenous community of believing Christians able
to engage this people group with church planting. The inability of church planting amongst this people
group and the persecution of Christians in this country creates a major challenge to the spreading of
Christianity.

Diabetes Exercise Plan
Diabetic Diet and Exercise plan
Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) is the most critical and pivotal component of diabetes care. The
purpose of MNT for people with type 2 diabetes is to delay or prevent the development of diabetic
complications such as blindness, CHD, nephropathy and neuropathy (Edelman, Kudzma, Mandle,

The American Diabetes Association recommends two different types of exercise for managing
diabetes, aerobic exercise and strength training. Aerobic exercise helps the body to effetely use insulin

Set realistic goals.
Make it your goal to adopt healthier eating and exercise habits. If you feel compelled to set a weight
loss goal, losing 10 to 15 percent of your current body weight is a realistic objective. The good news is
that a weight loss of as little as 5 to 10 percent of body weight can significantly improve risk factors
for heart disease such as high blood pressure, high blood glucose and triglycerides, and low HDL
cholesterol levels. The safest rate of weight loss is 0.5 to 2 lbs a week. If you lose weight at this rate,
you are more likely to keep it off Have the patient return in 30 days to see if there are any barriers to

The Roles Of Light And Dark Imagery
Analysis of the roles of light and dark imagery in Banana Yoshimoto s Kitchen In the novella Kitchen,
Banana Yoshimoto uses light and dark imagery to develop realistic characterization and to support her
fantastical style, while effectively projecting pathos upon the readers. Throughout the story, Mikage
unveils that life is a process of healing where grief and sadness are needed to truly appreciate
happiness. Such abstract ideas and emotions are detailedly brought about by Yoshimoto s usage of the
four seasons of the year to provide a main timeline of the events concerning Mikage s encounters with
death, as well utilizing cosmos as a form of pathetic fallacy during the more miniscule experiences. In
the grand scheme of the story, there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Following Spring was the one summer of bliss (59) occurring in [the Tanabe s] kitchen (59). This
period containing longer, bright days of joy and fullness demonstrates to the readers the extent of
Mikage s contentment through the motif of nurture brought by cooking in the kitchen, especially in the
Tanabe s kitchen.
In face of the season of death and preparing for an end, Eriko died late in the Autumn. (44) Much grief
and despair fell upon Mikage and Yuichi as the dark Autumn imagery clearly reflects these negative
emotions. There was a discrete transition from Autumn to Winter as death and preparing for an end
goes hand in hand with voidness and despair. The four seasons of the year which range in different
exposures to lightness are perfectly used by Yoshimoto to express the continuity of the cycle of grief
and joy as time advances.
Yoshimoto provides an overall transition between darkness to lightness from the beginning of Kitchen
to the end, which demonstrates Mikage s developmental journey in discovering that time will
constantly move despite any abruptions in life and no one will be capable of preventing it. Proceeding

The Role Of Genius In Plato s Ion
The role and knowledge of the artist has been part of the philosophical discourse on art for a very long
time. There have been several philosophers who have contributed to the discussion. Plato, in his piece
Ion, provides an explanation of knowledge (technique) and inspiration, and how they affect an artist.
Plato does this through the dialogue of Socrates and the rhapsode Ion, whom is an expert in the poems
of Homer. Although written long ago, when art wasn t as developed/diverse as it has come to be, the
basic concept of knowledge versus inspiration is one that paved the road for future philosophers to
further the discussion of the knowledge and role of the artist. From the beginning of the dialogue, it is
inferred that Ion is a great rhapsode because he won first place in a contest. However, Ion admits early
on that his skill as a rhapsode only apply to when he is reciting the poems of Homer and not others .
Socrates responds to Ion: No one can fail to see that you speak of Homer without any art of
knowledge. If you were able to speak of him by rules of art, you would have been able to speak of all
other poets; for poetry is a whole. (Ion, Plato) This is the beginning of Plato establishing technique
when a man has acquired a knowledge of a whole art, the enquiry into good and bad is one and the
same. (Ion,Plato) It is clear through this dialogue that Socrates doesn t see Ion as having
knowledge/technique due to his inability to understand and perform anything other

Short Summary Of Candide
The illegitimate nephew, Candide lives in the castle of the German Baron Thunder ten tronckh in
Westphalia where he is tutored by Dr.Pangloss who teaches him that this world is the best of all
possible worlds. Cunegonde the Baron s daughter is Candide s love but the baron catches the two
kissing and expels Candide from his home. Tricked into conscription of the Bulgar King s army the
exiled Candide is treated as a human punching bag. He wanders away from camp but is captured and
given the choice between being beheaded or running the gauntlet thirty six times but is spared by the
Burglar King who recognizes that he is simply a clueless scholar. Candide is healed just before the
battle with the Abars. Candide deserts the army and travels to another town where he meets James the
Anabaptist who offers Candide a change of clothes, a meal, and an apprenticeship. Candide runs into a
deformed syphilic beggar and discovers that it is Pangloss who reveals that Bulgar soldiers raided the
Baron s mansion raping Cunegonde and killing the entire family. The three travel to Lisbon together
for business, but their ship runs into a storm and James drowns saving a sailor. In Lisbon, an
earthquake strikes leaving 30,000 dead. Candide and Pangloss go about helping people and preaching
the necessity of the earthquake. Pangloss is questioned by an officer of the Inquisition and is hung

Truman Made the Right Choice
President Harry Truman s use of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan during the
Second World War is the most controversial decision in history. While it was an undoubtedly difficult
decision, it was indeed necessary in order to end this six year war that had ravaged the world. While
many critics argue that the bomb was used primarily as an act of vengeance toward Japan, simplifying
such a crucial moment in human history downplays the very real threat Japan posed to the United
States. While avoiding strained relations with the other Allied countries, Truman had to assess the
possible danger of the Soviet Union in a post war world. Furthermore, the possibility of an arms race,

The response of the panel to which the concern was sent was that the use of the bomb would be an
obvious means of saving American lives and shortening the war. While these scientists did not agree
on the issue of its use, all believed it was necessary to control this new technology through
international cooperation. Due to the aforementioned increasing tensions between the two emerging
superpowers, an issue of great concern was if, how and when to approach the Soviets with the news of
the Manhattan Project. In spite of the differences between the Soviets and the United States, by
Truman s main concern was keeping unity amongst the Big Three , realizing that ending the war
depended on the support of both Britain and the Soviet Union. The Interim Committee unanimously
agreed that Truman should inform of the development of the weapon and our plans to use it against
the enemy. They did not advise giving the Soviets specific details of the project, only informing them
in order to enlist Russian cooperation in the set up of future international controls of this new
technology. Of course, because of the terms of the Quebec Agreement, it would also be necessary to
discuss this with Churchill. The continuation of keeping facts from the Soviet Union in spite of the

Aldous Huxley view on technology
On this essay we ll discuss the views of Aldous Huxley towards technology, and society in whole. The
impact he had on the people that read his books and our commentary based on his observations for the
future. Huxley was a British writer best known for his novel Brave New World, written in 1931 and
published in 1932. He was concerned of the changes of western civilization at that time, which would
prompt him to write great novels about the serious threats posed by the combination of power and
technical progress. He was also very interested in parapsychology in addition, he would write against

Mr. Huxley predicted exactly what we have become. Are we better off? I guess what Mr. Huxley was
referring is; the morality of society is literally non existent.
We changed everything to be more politically correct, we have become a society of non judgmental
individuals for example the people pushing carts in Home Depot used to be called lot attendants, now
they are: lot engineers . I remember being in a lawsuit as a witness for somebody robing a store. When
I accused the robber his lawyer told me not to call him a thief since the case was not over and was not
accuse of any crime yet. He said to call him a non traditional shopper . I said give me a break!!! The
next paragraph will deal with other dangers that threaten society as a whole: Technology. Mr. Huxley
referred the danger of technology as a dependency of the individual from totalitarian forces. Would he
mean that we can one day blow ourselves up? No not at all. What he was referring to was the use of
technology to spy on citizens for no other reason than to keep track of everybody on this planet. This
incredible author had the audacity to predict exactly what we are facing right now. Let s go back to
one of the greatest tragedy ever perpetuated in this wonderful country of ours. September 11, 2001,

Marijuana Persuasive Speech
NATURAL IS THE WAY, SYNTHETIC YOU CAN T STAY!
Drugs are prevalent in many ways, there s a clear majority of different kinds that are created to be both
bought and sold from country to country across the nation, but when it comes to marijuana there is no
comparison natural weed is the GO , synthetic is a NO . This will become clear when considering the
legalities, manufacturing, health benefits/risks, cost, and versatility, natural marijuana is the top choice
compared to the spurious synthetic shit.
Legalities is an essential beginning when comparing these two types of marijuana, though both natural
and synthetic are currently illegal, natural marijuana is being examine and anticipated to be made
legal. Over many years marijuana has been sold, distributed, manufactured, possessed and used
illegally in all to most countries across the world, including Australia. However, this past decade
manufacturers have tried to outsmart Australia s cannabis laws by producing a legal chemical version

so if you re lucky enough to find a good dealer, you can buy a gram and a half of weed for $25. 2.8

The Apprenticeship Of Duddy Kravitz Analysis
Tragedy to Comedy: The Effect of Satire
Satire is a technique that takes extreme capability to execute properly. Mordecai Richler, implements
this writing style accurately all while producing a genuine story that shares a message of growth, and
strive for success for a young boy growing up in a time of financial and supportive struggles.. At large,
The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz shares a story packed with satire and irony, but effectively
shows how the characters are greedy, materialistic, and immoral.
Prior to discussing ways in which satire is used within Duddy Kravitz it is important to understand
what satire is, and what other devices it includes. Satire is a humorous or light form of writing that is
used to expose a novels more serious themes. Satire uses sarcasm, irony, and wit to mock or ridicule
something or someone. Mordecai Richler uses this device often. This makes the novel a dramatic
comedy, even though the story shares a darker and more serious message. Greed is one of Duddy
Kravitz central issues throughout the book, as it is something he struggles to keep under control.
Mordecai Richler makes light of Duddy s situation by using cliches, an overused idea. Duddy s
traditional story of rags to riches , one that has been heard many times, is displayed through irony, and
satire. Duddy starts his life as an unmotivated pre teen, as he was never pushed by his superiors. With

Overview of Endometriosis Essay
Endometriosis affects 10% of reproductive age women (Yale School of Medicine). It affects nearly
176 million women, ranging from 15 49, all over the world (World Endometriosis, 2011).
Endometriosis is an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus
the endometrium grows outside your uterus (endometrial implant) (Mayo Clinic, 2013) It most
commonly involves your ovaries and the lining of the pelvis, but in extreme cases can spread to other
parts of the body. The displaced tissue continues to act like it normally would in the uterus, thickening
and breaking down with each menstrual cycle. Since the displaced tissue has nowhere to go, it
becomes trapped with no way to get out (Mayo Clinic, 2013). ... Show more content on

Although there are things that may possibly be linked to a person having endometriosis, there is no
definitive origin of endometriosis. Women of all types can be diagnosed with this disease.
There are many different risk factors for endometriosis. Never giving birth, having relatives diagnosed
with endometriosis, medical conditions that prevents the flow of normal menstruation, any history of
pelvic infection, or uterine abnormalities are all examples of possible risk factors for endometriosis
(Mayo Clinic, 2013). Having endometriosis increases a woman s chances of infertility as well as
possibly developing ovarian cancer.
Infertility and ovarian cancer are very serious problems that can be developed in women with
endometriosis. Infertility is the main problem associated with endometriosis. It can be a major setback
for seemingly healthy couples that want to start a family. Endometriosis is associated with infertility in
30 40% of sufferers (World Endometriosis, 2011) The presence of endometriosis may involve masses
of tissue or scarring (adhesions) within the pelvis that may distort normal anatomical structures, such
as Fallopian tubes, which transport the eggs from the ovaries. Alternatively, endometriosis may affect
fertility through the production of hormones and other substances that have a negative effect on
ovulation, fertilization of the egg, and/or implantation of the embryo (MedicineNet, 2013). Although

Procedure C (Rate of Hydrogen Peroxide Spontaneous Decomposition) How do oxygen and water
affect the spontaneous decomposition of hydrogen peroxide?
Procedure D (Rate of Hydrogen Peroxide Decomposition by Enzyme Catalysis) How does different
titration techniques affect the rate of hydrogen peroxide decomposition by enzyme catalysis?
Hypothesis:
Procedure A (Testing Enzyme Activity) In some conditions, a reaction will occur and in others no
reaction will happen.
Procedure B (Establishing a Baseline) The amount of KMnO4 added to the solution is proportional to
the amount of hydrogen peroxide present in the solution.
Procedure C (Rate of Hydrogen Peroxide Spontaneous Decomposition) The amount of hydrogen
peroxide left after 24 hours of sitting out at room temperature will be less than the initial amount.
Procedure D (Rate of Hydrogen Peroxide Decomposition by Enzyme Catalysis) In the presence of the

yet there is a slight variance in how each of these authors place these characters into their escape from

escaping the realities of the relationship, one through Walter Mitts daydreams, and the other through
one brief hour when Louise Mallard pictures her new life of freedom. Through the use of

In The Secret Life of Walter Mitty the use of imagery give the reader a illustrative description of the
daydreams he is having while allowing the reader to have a vivid picture of the goings on around him.
The imagery of his wife s consistent nagging is brought into focus allowing the reader to identify with
Walter concerning his wife s overbearing and scrutinizing ways. In The Story of An Hour imagery
gives the reader a feel of almost relief along with the use of our senses such as taste, smell, sight and
sounds to set a stage the tragedies yet to come. Deneau suggests this story may be a reflection of a
sexual experience. In both of these cases an escape from the true reality is possible.

Not Judge A Book By Its Cover
Never Judge a Book By its Cover
It is often said to never judge a book by its cover, yet in today s society judging is a major asset that
the citizens of the United States tend to do. In the school house, on the roads, in restaurants, grocery
stores, job interviews, and even in the churches are very familiar places where judging has become
vital. People are starting to discriminate, stereotype, and evaluate others as a lifestyle rather than a
duty. Today, many people are experiencing discrimination and stereotyping within finding jobs. In
today s society, when managers review an application the first aspect they view is the age. When a
manager sees that the applicant is under the age of eighteen years, he or she tends to think that the
applicant has no experience or maturity. Furthermore, when a person scans over a job objective or
description, the person tends to see sexist jobs. For instance, a firefighter is typically a dominant male
position. When an applicant reads the objectives, it states a gender within the use of pronouns such as
he or him. Also, males typically do not apply for dominant female position. For example, males do not
apply for secretary, nurse, or even school teacher positions, whereas many males have a tendency to
apply for masculine jobs such as police officers, administrators, or security. Many employers do not
notice this, but this is categorized as discrimination. Additionally, teenage students are encountering
more and more discrimination

Essay The History of Fair Trade
Fair trade can be defined as a social movement thats objective is to help producers in developing
countries make better trading conditions and elevate sustainability. Fair trade is contrasting to the
other trade practices in our world, its about making codes of fairness in the marketplace. The practice
of fair trade seeks to reshape the way we buy and sell products to verify that all farmers and skilled
workers behind the manufacturing of goods get a better deal. Most people would assume this as a
better means for prices, however can include better and longer lasting relationships. Fair trade is also
about information, having the knowledge as to where are food/products are coming from, and having
the knowledge that all products were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However the fair trade movement was majorly shaped in the years following WWII. The Mennonite
Central Committee and SERRV International were the first in 1946 to develop fair trade supply chains
in developing countries. The products were mostly sold by volunteers in charity stores. North
Americas first fair trade organization started in 1946 also, Ten Thousand Villages. Later in 1988, the
launch of the first fair trade label (Max Havelaar) was created under the initiative of a Dutch
development agency. The Max Havelaar label was further replicated in several markets in Europe and
North America. In 1989 the International Fair Trade Association (IFAT) was the first umbrella
organization to unite and coordinate fair trade business and organizations. They became the first
organization to commit to fair trade 100%. Later in 1997 the Fairtrade International (FLO) was
established, this was the second major umbrella organization for fair trade. However the FLO does not
require fair trade on 100% of its members or products. Later in 2004, Fairtrade international split into
two independent organizations, FLO which sets fair trade standards, and producer support, and FLO
CERT, which inspects and certifies producer organizations. Today fair trade has developed into
something much more, the global sales have soared over the past decade. This proves that fair trade is
actually making a difference in our world, a little bit at a time.

Plato And The Cave
In Plato s article The Republic he describes that we all exist as part of a society in which he refers to
as a cave. Plato says in the opening of this article Let me show in a figure how far our nature is
enlightened and unenlightened . With our heads restrained to a wall and not capable to perceive our
surrounding, we accept as true the shadows to be reality. He then goes on to explain that with a teacher
is the only way that we can move from our state of being a prisoner and moving into a new reality
beyond the cave and that we would discover the true reality to be painful, and then want to return to
the state of deception of the cave. He explains this by saying Plato also believes that we are all have

Lab Report On Catalase Reactivity
INTRODUCTION In this experiment, we are trying to figure out how different concentrations of
substrate affect an enzyme reactivity. We are using hydrogen peroxide as the substrate and yeast as the
enzyme. Based on my background knowledge, I hypothesize that if more hydrogen peroxide is added,
then the seconds between a paper disk floating to the top would be lower than a lesser amount of
hydrogen peroxide solution. I thought that the more peroxide solution there was, than the more the
enzyme could react. An enzyme is a type of catalyst that speeds up a reaction. In this lab we are using
the enzyme called catalase. Catalase is used to break down H2O2. (hydrogen peroxide).
METHODS
The materials you will need are forceps, a pencil, yeast solution, hydrogen peroxide, filter paper disks,
six 250 ml beakers, distilled water, paper towels, and graph paper. These concentrations below will be
put into each beaker. Be sure to label each beaker.
Then you will put a solution of activated yeast in a beaker. Use the forceps to dip the paper disk into
the beaker, which contains the catalase enzyme. Next, use the forceps to transfer the paper disk into
the bottom of the beakers with hydrogen peroxide. You will then measure how long it takes for the
bubbles to carry the disk to the top of the beaker. Measure the amount of seconds it takes for the paper
disk to float to the top in the data table. Repeat the steps until you have at least 3 trials for each
hydrogen peroxide solution.

INTRODUCTION
The natural disasters such as landslide, earthquake, volcano eruption, wildfire, tsunami are disasters
that happens in earth s system which is hydrosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere and biosphere (Van
Wesper, C.J., 2000). As Malaysia lies outside the Pacific Ring of Fire it is excluded from volcano
eruption and earthquakes. The most dominant disaster in Malaysia is the landslide occurs during rainy
seasons.
This disaster can disrupt the stable ecological system and cause destruction of properties and also kill
lives. This growing economic impact has drawn worldwide attention to study about the landslide.
Nowadays the developments are taking place in high altitude areas at a fast pace. As it possesses
impressive view and a great ventilation many housing projects and vegetation projects are built in
hillside area. Hence it is vital to carry out proper mitigations and slope managements to prevent
landslides in the area undergoing development projects.
The prevent landslides from occurring, the area seems to prone towards landslides should be identified
before any development projects carried out. The task should be done by certified experts like
engineers and geologist to examine the area by studying the stability of the soil

War, And Fashion Magazines
H. 19th Century
1. Queen Victoria 1837 1901 came into reign and considered makeup to be vulgar and not permitted
except for prostitutes and actresses of Britain.
a. The white lead continued to be used as a foundation to achieve pale skin but it was done more
naturally and secretly and women pinched their cheeks and bit their lips to get a rosy natural look. The
idea was to look like you weren t wearing any makeup at all.
The 20th century changed dramatically due to the silent films, war, and fashion magazines. I will give
you a brief description of each decade of the 20th century up to the 21st century.
I. 20th century
1920 s
The 1920 s cosmetics was now used in greater abundance than ever before. It was the most daring
decade of cosmetics due to the dramatic and bold vamp and flapper look of silent films and fashion
magazines. Silent films was a powerful style leader of the vamp look which was accidental and not
really so dark in person due to the way the film was made then. The 20 s was the birthplace of the
Smokey eye.
a. Women applied deep colors to their lips and drew outside of their lines to highlight the cupids Bow

Evaluation Of Nash Arbitration With The Golden Section...
Example 1. Nash arbitration with the golden section search method
Assume we have the following partial conflict game between two players:
Player II Strategies C1 C2
Player I R1 (2, 6) (5,4) R2 (10,5) (4,8)
Assume in this example we have already found the Nash equilibrium, (4.666, 5.6). We plot the points
and obtain the convex polygon shown in figure 3.
Figure 3. Payoff polygon and Pareto optimal line segment
We find the Nash equilibrium is not Pareto optimal. To be Pareto optimal, the Nash equilibrium must
line on the Pareto optimal line segment. For sake of illustration, we assume we have tried all other
strategic moves methods to improve our outcomes and we move on to arbitration.
Finding the security ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finding the Pareto optimal line segment equation
We use the end points (4, 8) and (10, 5) to obtain the equation of the Pareto Optimal line shown in
figure 3 using the point slope formula of a line: .
We find the equation as (y 8) = 3/6 (x 4) which simplifies to y= 1/2 x +10.
Nash arbitration
Now, we can return to the Nash arbitration scheme that says in particular find the values of (x, y)
along the line y= 1/2 x + 10 where x 4.6666, y 5.6 that maximizes the product (x 4.6666) (y 5.6).
To use golden section in one dimension, we simply create a function of one variable by substituting
1/2 x + 10 for y in the function to be maximized, (x 4.6666) ( 1/2 x + 10 5.6) or (x 4.6666) ( 1/2 x +
4.4). We can simplify this through multiplication, if desired, to obtain 1/2 x2 + 6.73333 x 20.53333.
The next crucial element is to determine the interval. The value of x must be greater than 4.6666 and
less than the x coordinate of right most end of point of the Pareto optimal line, which in this case is 10.
Therefore, we will use golden section to find the value of x that maximizes the function, 1/2 x2 +
6.73333 x 20.53333, within the interval [4.6666, 10].
We have built a template, available upon request, to perform the calculations. We find the value of x
that maximizes this function within the interval to be x= 6.733241. So how do we find the y
coordinate? We substitute x= 6.733241 into the equation y = 1/2 x + 10 and find y =6.63338. Our

Three principal elements required to create a MATLAB Graphical User Interface. The elements are
components, figures, callbacks.
1. Components
Each item on a GUI is a graphical component. The types of components include graphical controls
(pushbuttons, radio buttons, edit boxes, lists, sliders, etc.), static elements (frames and text strings),
menus, and axes. Graphical controls and static elements are created by the functions and axes are used
to display graphical data which is created by the function axes.
2. Figures
The components of a GUI must be arranged within a figure, which is a window on the computer
screen.
3. Callbacks
Finally, there must be some way to perform an action if a user clicks on a button. A mouse click or a
key press is an event, and the MATLAB program must respond to each event if the program is to
perform its function. The code executed in response to an event is known as a call back. There must be
a callback to implement the function of each graphical component on the

pariah? Jonah Crow, an orphan at the age of ten grew up in the face of adversity he knew the feelings
of loneliness and want; seeing as his mother, father, aunt and uncle died leaving him helpless at an
orphanage in the town of Port William, Kentucky. This is a book about Heaven, or the fact that Jayber

He was intermittent, always moving frantically from task to task, building his empire purely on
money, which entirely meant an empire built on his debt, which, again, means an empire built on
accountability which Troy was not. An agribusinessman is a person who works in or manages an
agricultural business. During the time Jayber Crow existed agriculture was all the rage. Family farms
made up 40% of the American workforce. Readers could see why family farming was so important.
So why would people want to bring in top gun machinery and ruin the land for future crops? For
money and growth of themselves, not for the farming industry because in the late 1900s farming
dropped from 40% to a glum 4.6%. Agribusiness arrives and begins to slowly tear apart small farms in
Jayber Crow s world. Even in today s society big businesses tower in our economy. It seems that
agriculture is not given any thought when it comes to making a profit and this tremendous defect in
humans is another reason people can not live just to please and benefit themselves.
People who live to help people and become saints of the land and vow to protect it are the people who
made the land last. Mattie Keith, Troy Chatham s wife is an example of giving with no purpose to
receive unlike big agribusiness men. Jayber several times throughout the novel expresses his great
love for Mattie but what strikes Jayber like a is the fear that he and Troy are the same man

Abstract
Utilization of fiber reinforced composites for engineering applications is gaining importance to derive
many advantages such as manufacturing process flexibility, high strength to weight ratio. The
machining of composites is always not preferred because of the structural disturbances generally occur
due to damages caused by machining forces to the fiber matrix interfaces, which in turn leads to the
reduction in the mechanical properties of composite as a whole. However machining is necessary in
special situations where the dimensional tolerances are to be maintained very close in the case of the
composites mating with the other components.
The present work aims at identifying the better milling process parameters to obtain better finish
across the machined surface with minimum damage. This paper indeed comparison discussions about
the machined surface generated by milling operation for a given tool signatures of two fluted specially
designed carbide tipped end mill cutter and four fluted solid carbide end mill tools by the

Richard Gatling Gun Research Paper
In 1862 Dr. Richard Gatling invented and patented the original six barrel, .58 caliber Gatling gun that
fired up to 300 rounds per minute (McNab). The Gatling Gun became just the beginning, however, as
it would lead to world renowned inventions in the military and change war forever. Dr. Richard
Gatling grew up on a small farm in South Carolina, working with his dad on their small farm, making
ends meet. In his earlier years, he caught a bad case of smallpox and almost died in 1846 (Silvia). His
encounter with the disease sparked his interest in medicine and later in life he went on to study

model, a six barrel, small caliber gun, that shot around three hundred rounds per minute. Later in the
war, however, after being suped up , it had ten barrel, .58 caliber gun, that shot four hundred rounds
per minute (History.com Staff). However, as the war progressed and rifles as well as fighting tactics
changed, generals started to see there are many ways to avoid the Gatling Gun, and ways to make it
even more inaccurate for the enemy shooting at them. Although this caused the gun to lose its
popularity and use, the way that it forever changed war is incredible. It forced generals for both the

  • 2. The Arrow And The Goat Short Story The Arrow and the Goat A Hunger Games Fanfiction By: Lorenz Aparentado, Fabrizio Lazaro, Niklas Umland Suzanne Collins Owner of all rights to the original story. No profit will be made from this work. When I wake up the other side of my bed is cold. Prim must of crawled into our mother s bed seeking warmth in the dark and stormy night. This gives me ample time to get out of bed without waking her up on this tiring weekend. Well, in District 12 every weekend is a tiring weekend. District 12 is the coal district, we mine coal from the mines, and send it to other districts and the Capitol. This means we re also the poorest district in Panem. Coal mining is not a very profitable occupation. We don t get enough food to survive. Every day I go to the border that is lined with electric lines. Sometimes you can hear their buzz, but since we re in district 12 it s usually off most of the time because of energy shortages. I put my ear close to the lines, it s silent, all you can hear are the birds and the animals on the other side. A perfect source of food. The woods are my second home, I learned everything I need to survive in the woods from my dad. As long as you can find yourself, you will always survive, he used to say. He would of gone hunting with me today, if he hadn t died in the coal mines. He did leave pieces of himself out in the woods though, his wooden bows he made for me. I walk to a log and pull it up slightly, there lies my bow, with a sheath of arrows. I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Indian Removal Act Report After the removal, Indians began to completely change their culture to live as an American culture. Schools were created and they had their own newspapers as well as their own governments (Peppas 2013, page 41). They wore the same clothes as Americans (Indian Affairs). Throughout the years, they have been able to create their own governments and were recognized by the American government. The Indians had every reason not to trust Americans after all they went through being constantly pushed off their land. They were always seen as two separate groups and Americans have treated the Indians as less than them until recently. The government began to see that the way the Indians were treated was wrong and should have never been forced to move. There was never an official apology for the Indian Removal Act and treatment until 2009, when President Barack Obama signed the Native American Apology Resolution into law (Peppas 2013, page 43). They have created laws that affect everyone and gives Indians more rights. These new acts help in creating better relationships for Indians and Americans and increase trust in each other. When the Indian Removal Act was in place, whites were in control, but now the Bureau of Indian Affairs is made up almost entirely of Indians (Indian Affairs). One law to help Indians is The General Allotment Act of 1887 An Act to Provide for the Allotment of Lands in Severalty to Indians on the Various Reservations (Our Documents). The Current Rate Of Climate Change and Life Expectancy The current rate of at which the world is being affected by climate change; one may be convinced to believe that the earth will not be able to be inhabited by any other generation. The perfect clarification of these claims has been the reduction in the life span and the increase in the number of diseases that are actually attacking human beings all because of climatic change. The impact of climate change has been felt and this has had a negative impact on the lives of animals and human beings (Baker, Judy World Bank., 3). There has been a huge debate on whether climatic change is responsible for the decline in the life expectancy among human beings as well as animals. This essay is based on the facts ... This is means the depletion or destruction of this natural resources means the end of the life for this countries hence the increase in the rate of complacency. The point also explains why developing country usually relies on foreign aid as means of sustaining their own economies. Initially animals used to have very long time span in that goats or even cattle could stay for years and yet they are still very productive. This has certainly changed as result of climatic changes. The animals used to live longer as a result of cold temperatures that used to slow down their rates of metabolism hence the longer life span. Temperatures today are very high as a result of climatic changes. The increased temperatures have actually led to increase in the metabolic rate of the animals hence the reduction in the life span. This explains why animals today cannot even live for more than five years and then remain productive all along as animals could live for a whole decade but still remain very productive. It is believed that the presence of favorable climatic conditions usually increase the life span of animals or even plants by more than 20 percent. This is very reason the people back in the 1700s all the way to the late 1800s used to live long and they were not really exposed to the kind of diseases that people are currently exposed to (Letcher, T. M, 49). One of the main factors that have actually led to the reduction in the life expectancy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. 2016 Lectures On Human Evolution CARTAApril 29, 2016 lectures on human evolution The CARTA lectures on human evolution included lectures from Joshua Akey from the University of Washington, Kay Prüfer from the Mark Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, and Tony Capra from Vanderbilt University. Each of the speakers talked in some detail about the interbreeding of Neandertals, Denisovans, and modern humans. However, each speaker talked about a different aspect of the breeding. Akey spoke about Neandertal and Denisovan DNA in modern humans and their effects. Prüfer discussed the interbreeding of Neandertals and Denisovans and how it affects the relationship of Neanderthals and Denisovans to modern humans. Lastly, Capra spoke on the phenotypic effects of Neandertal DNA in modern humans. Akey opened his lecture with a question: how widespread were ancient introgression events? He sought to answer how long ago did archaic humans and modern humans interbred and how many times did they interbreed. Akey mentioned that for a while there was a debate whether hybridization even occurred between archaic humans and modern humans. This was an ongoing debate until fairly recently when there was data that was obtained through sequencing the Neandertal and Denisovan genomes that supported that archaic humans did indeed mate with other modern humans. He mentioned that a problem with sequencing is that it can be hard to find a suitable specimen that has been well preserved. Akey and his student wanted to excavate ... Comparing The Turtles In John Steinbeck s The Grapes Of Wrath In John Steinbeck s novel The Grapes of Wrath he devoted a whole chapter about a turtle crossing the road, but it was not just a filler, it had a deeper meaning to it. The chapter told of a turtle that had to cross a highway and along the way it encounters a few hardships. The real reason Steinbeck added the turtle was to have it symbolize the Joad s journey from Oklahoma to California. During the Joad s trip to the west coast they definitely had their fair share of bumps in the road, just like the turtle experienced while crossing the road. The turtle did not let the truck stop it from making it to the other side and eventually the turtle accomplished its goal. The old humorous eyes looked ahead, and the horny beak opened a little, (Steinbeck 22). This was just after the turtle finished crossing the road, and it was looking ahead ready to conquer any more challenges that would be thrown at it later. The Roles Of Light And Dark Imagery Analysis of the roles of light and dark imagery in Banana Yoshimoto s Kitchen In the novella Kitchen, Banana Yoshimoto uses light and dark imagery to develop realistic characterization and to support her fantastical style, while effectively projecting pathos upon the readers. Throughout the story, Mikage unveils that life is a process of healing where grief and sadness are needed to truly appreciate happiness. Such abstract ideas and emotions are detailedly brought about by Yoshimoto s usage of the four seasons of the year to provide a main timeline of the events concerning Mikage s encounters with death, as well utilizing cosmos as a form of pathetic fallacy during the more miniscule experiences. This period containing longer, bright days of joy and fullness demonstrates to the readers the extent of Mikage s contentment through the motif of nurture brought by cooking in the kitchen, especially in the Tanabe s kitchen. In face of the season of death and preparing for an end, Eriko died late in the Autumn. (44) Much grief and despair fell upon Mikage and Yuichi as the dark Autumn imagery clearly reflects these negative emotions. There was a discrete transition from Autumn to Winter as death and preparing for an end goes hand in hand with voidness and despair. The four seasons of the year which range in different exposures to lightness are perfectly used by Yoshimoto to express the continuity of the cycle of grief and joy as time advances. Yoshimoto provides an overall transition between darkness to lightness from the beginning of Kitchen to the end, which demonstrates Mikage s developmental journey in discovering that time will constantly move despite any abruptions in life and no one will be capable of preventing it. • 11. The Role Of Genius In Plato s Ion The role and knowledge of the artist has been part of the philosophical discourse on art for a very long time. There have been several philosophers who have contributed to the discussion. Plato, in his piece Ion, provides an explanation of knowledge (technique) and inspiration, and how they affect an artist. Plato does this through the dialogue of Socrates and the rhapsode Ion, whom is an expert in the poems of Homer. Although written long ago, when art wasn t as developed/diverse as it has come to be, the basic concept of knowledge versus inspiration is one that paved the road for future philosophers to further the discussion of the knowledge and role of the artist. From the beginning of the dialogue, it is inferred that Ion is a great rhapsode because he won first place in a contest. However, Ion admits early on that his skill as a rhapsode only apply to when he is reciting the poems of Homer and not others . Socrates responds to Ion: No one can fail to see that you speak of Homer without any art of knowledge. If you were able to speak of him by rules of art, you would have been able to speak of all other poets; for poetry is a whole. (Ion, Plato) This is the beginning of Plato establishing technique when a man has acquired a knowledge of a whole art, the enquiry into good and bad is one and the same. (Ion,Plato) It is clear through this dialogue that Socrates doesn t see Ion as having knowledge/technique due to his inability to understand and perform anything other ... While it was an undoubtedly difficult decision, it was indeed necessary in order to end this six year war that had ravaged the world. While many critics argue that the bomb was used primarily as an act of vengeance toward Japan, simplifying such a crucial moment in human history downplays the very real threat Japan posed to the United States. Due to the aforementioned increasing tensions between the two emerging superpowers, an issue of great concern was if, how and when to approach the Soviets with the news of the Manhattan Project. In spite of the differences between the Soviets and the United States, by Truman s main concern was keeping unity amongst the Big Three , realizing that ending the war depended on the support of both Britain and the Soviet Union. The Interim Committee unanimously agreed that Truman should inform of the development of the weapon and our plans to use it against the enemy. In the school house, on the roads, in restaurants, grocery stores, job interviews, and even in the churches are very familiar places where judging has become vital. People are starting to discriminate, stereotype, and evaluate others as a lifestyle rather than a duty. Today, many people are experiencing discrimination and stereotyping within finding jobs. In today s society, when managers review an application the first aspect they view is the age. When a manager sees that the applicant is under the age of eighteen years, he or she tends to think that the applicant has no experience or maturity. Furthermore, when a person scans over a job objective or description, the person tends to see sexist jobs. For instance, a firefighter is typically a dominant male position. When an applicant reads the objectives, it states a gender within the use of pronouns such as he or him. Also, males typically do not apply for dominant female position. For example, males do not apply for secretary, nurse, or even school teacher positions, whereas many males have a tendency to apply for masculine jobs such as police officers, administrators, or security. • 26. Lab Report On Catalase Reactivity INTRODUCTION In this experiment, we are trying to figure out how different concentrations of substrate affect an enzyme reactivity. We are using hydrogen peroxide as the substrate and yeast as the enzyme. Based on my background knowledge, I hypothesize that if more hydrogen peroxide is added, then the seconds between a paper disk floating to the top would be lower than a lesser amount of hydrogen peroxide solution. I thought that the more peroxide solution there was, than the more the enzyme could react. An enzyme is a type of catalyst that speeds up a reaction. In this lab we are using the enzyme called catalase. Catalase is used to break down H2O2. (hydrogen peroxide). METHODS The materials you will need are forceps, a pencil, yeast solution, hydrogen peroxide, filter paper disks, six 250 ml beakers, distilled water, paper towels, and graph paper. These concentrations below will be put into each beaker. Be sure to label each beaker. Then you will put a solution of activated yeast in a beaker. Use the forceps to dip the paper disk into the beaker, which contains the catalase enzyme. Next, use the forceps to transfer the paper disk into the bottom of the beakers with hydrogen peroxide. You will then measure how long it takes for the bubbles to carry the disk to the top of the beaker. Measure the amount of seconds it takes for the paper disk to float to the top in the data table. Repeat the steps until you have at least 3 trials for each hydrogen peroxide solution. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Finding the Pareto optimal line segment equation We use the end points (4, 8) and (10, 5) to obtain the equation of the Pareto Optimal line shown in figure 3 using the point slope formula of a line: . We find the equation as (y 8) = 3/6 (x 4) which simplifies to y= 1/2 x +10. Nash arbitration Now, we can return to the Nash arbitration scheme that says in particular find the values of (x, y) along the line y= 1/2 x + 10 where x 4.6666, y 5.6 that maximizes the product (x 4.6666) (y 5.6). To use golden section in one dimension, we simply create a function of one variable by substituting 1/2 x + 10 for y in the function to be maximized, (x 4.6666) ( 1/2 x + 10 5.6) or (x 4.6666) ( 1/2 x + 4.4). We can simplify this through multiplication, if desired, to obtain 1/2 x2 + 6.73333 x 20.53333. The next crucial element is to determine the interval. The value of x must be greater than 4.6666 and less than the x coordinate of right most end of point of the Pareto optimal line, which in this case is 10. Therefore, we will use golden section to find the value of x that maximizes the function, 1/2 x2 + 6.73333 x 20.53333, within the interval [4.6666, 10]. We have built a template, available upon request, to perform the calculations. We find the value of x that maximizes this function within the interval to be x= 6.733241. So how do we find the y coordinate? We substitute x= 6.733241 into the equation y = 1/2 x + 10 and find y =6.63338. Our Nash arbitration

Jonah Crow, an orphan at the age of ten grew up in the face of adversity he knew the feelings of loneliness and want; seeing as his mother, father, aunt and uncle died leaving him helpless at an orphanage in the town of Port William, Kentucky. This is a book about Heaven, or the fact that Jayber could actually be living in a hell where the participants fail to love one another, where they hate and destroy the objects and people they love, everything done is done ... He was intermittent, always moving frantically from task to task, building his empire purely on money, which entirely meant an empire built on his debt, which, again, means an empire built on accountability which Troy was not. An agribusinessman is a person who works in or manages an agricultural business. During the time Jayber Crow existed agriculture was all the rage. Family farms made up 40% of the American workforce. Readers could see why family farming was so important. So why would people want to bring in top gun machinery and ruin the land for future crops? For money and growth of themselves, not for the farming industry because in the late 1900s farming dropped from 40% to a glum 4.6%. Agribusiness arrives and begins to slowly tear apart small farms in Jayber Crow s world. Even in today s society big businesses tower in our economy. It seems that agriculture is not given any thought when it comes to making a profit and this tremendous defect in humans is another reason people can not live just to please and benefit themselves. People who live to help people and become saints of the land and vow to protect it are the people who made the land last. Mattie Keith, Troy Chatham s wife is an example of giving with no purpose to receive unlike big agribusiness men. Jayber several times throughout the novel expresses his great love for Mattie but what strikes Jayber like a is the fear that he and Troy are the same man ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Manzoor Hussain Professor and Principal, J.N.T.U Sultanpur, India, manzoorjntuh@gmail.com Abstract Utilization of fiber reinforced composites for engineering applications is gaining importance to derive many advantages such as manufacturing process flexibility, high strength to weight ratio. The machining of composites is always not preferred because of the structural disturbances generally occur due to damages caused by machining forces to the fiber matrix interfaces, which in turn leads to the reduction in the mechanical properties of composite as a whole. However machining is necessary in special situations where the dimensional tolerances are to be maintained very close in the case of the composites mating with the other components. The present work aims at identifying the better milling process parameters to obtain better finish across the machined surface with minimum damage. This paper indeed comparison discussions about the machined surface generated by milling operation for a given tool signatures of two fluted specially designed carbide tipped end mill cutter and four fluted solid carbide end mill tools by the ... • 37. Richard Gatling Gun Research Paper In 1862 Dr. Richard Gatling invented and patented the original six barrel, .58 caliber Gatling gun that fired up to 300 rounds per minute (McNab). The Gatling Gun became just the beginning, however, as it would lead to world renowned inventions in the military and change war forever. Dr. Richard Gatling grew up on a small farm in South Carolina, working with his dad on their small farm, making ends meet. In his earlier years, he caught a bad case of smallpox and almost died in 1846 (Silvia). His encounter with the disease sparked his interest in medicine and later in life he went on to study medicine in college and he became a more modern day physician at the time (Silvia). He practiced medicine for about eight years before he discovered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It affected the gun especially on the battlefield where the terrain varied widely compared to that of a flat shooting course the gun had been tested on (Silvia). The lack of the guns accuracy had to be compromised by the amount of lead it could sling at people. In 1862 Gatling came out with the first model, a six barrel, small caliber gun, that shot around three hundred rounds per minute. Later in the war, however, after being suped up , it had ten barrel, .58 caliber gun, that shot four hundred rounds per minute (History.com Staff). However, as the war progressed and rifles as well as fighting tactics changed, generals started to see there are many ways to avoid the Gatling Gun, and ways to make it even more inaccurate for the enemy shooting at them. Although this caused the gun to lose its popularity and use, the way that it forever changed war is incredible. It forced generals for both the Union and the Confederates to use, and to create new styles of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
