The document summarizes the benefits and commitments from participating in a world class assistant certification program in two parts. It discusses improved communication skills, daily huddles, strategic partnership development, decision making, and investigative skills gained from participation. The assistants commit to engagement, being ambassadors, and adding value to their organization through their growth.
2. Benefits from Participation – Part I
• Communication Skills – we have implemented and are currently practicing
the skills learned through our participation in this program by utilizing a
variety of speaking styles to improve understanding among our team
members.
• Daily/Weekly Huddles – Katie found the skill discussed in Part I of this
training of scheduling daily/weekly meetings with her supervisor has
improved communication between both of them and she has received great
constructive feedback on her work.
3. Continuation of Benefits from Part I
• Strategic Partnership Development – this is a tool that we believe will help to
strengthen our relationships with you, become more engaged, and allow us to be
partners in reaching the strategic goals of our company.
• Becoming more assertive versus aggressive – we are learning to find a balance
between being too passive and/or too aggressive, instead learning to be assertive
when presenting ideas and/or suggestions.
• Aligning goals with our supervisor – we have learned the value of aligning our
goals with our supervisor so that we become more of a team in supporting each
other in reaching those goals.
4. Benefits for Participation in Part II
• Formula for success (Art + Science = Success) – this formula is teaching us
how to successfully integrate both the vision of our company as well as the steps we
need to take to bring that to fruition.
• Decision Making – we are learning how our decisions will impact the function of
our team and the value of learning from our mistakes and successes.
• Investigative Skills – we look forward to utilizing our skills in internet research to
gather pertinent data to help your executives meet their objectives. We will also be
asking more questions to make sure that we clearly understand your needs.
5. Commitments from Participating in Part II
• Engagement – we offer our commitment to be “present” while at work so
we can be of greater value to our organization.
• Ambassador and Adding Value – we also offer our commitment to being
ambassadors for our organization in everything we do.
