Wind power has been used for centuries to grind grain and power ships. Spain opened the first modern wind farm in 1984. Wind energy uses wind turbines to convert wind power into electricity. There are two main types of turbines: horizontal axis and vertical axis. Wind energy is a renewable resource that produces no emissions. However, it has disadvantages like being intermittent and requiring large amounts of land. Spain has significant wind energy production, especially in northern and western regions. The Murcia region gets 3% of its electricity from wind power and has experienced high growth in wind energy.
A wind mill converts the kinetic energy of moving air into Mechanical energy that can be either used directly to run the Machine or to run the generator to produce electricity.
An alternate and eco-friendly energy source with a detailed explanation of types of turbines, their components along with the type of generator used, different wind farms, and production in India along with advantages and disadvantages.
What is Renewable energy , Why Do We Need Renewable Energy, various sources of renewable energy like Hydroelectric power or hydro-power, Wind energy, Solar Energy, Geothermal Energy, Wave power, Tidal power, Biomass fuel & Hydrogen Energy and details about them
This is enegy taken from the natural air!
Can you believe electricity being created because of air!
It is practiced on heights or near sea's.

Conversation+ items you buy in a chemist's. Cristian R.mariajesusps
This is an interesting presentation mainly for the second part where you find some vocabulary/ expressions learnt during the year and a wide variety of products you can find in a chemist's.
2. HISTORY:
• Wind power is one of the oldest energy with thermal energy
has been used to grind grain or sails to propel ships so they
could move.
• In Spain opened the first wind farm in 1984 in Garriguella
(Gerona). This consisted of five wind turbines.
• Later first commercialized in other countries and territories.
3. DEFINITION:
• Wind energy is a renewable energy source that uses
wind power to generate electricity. The primary
means to obtain it are the turbines, "windmills“.
4. •
FEATURES: using wind
Wind energy is a type of clean, renewable energy
power to generate electricity.
• The amount of energy that can be produced depends on the
size of the turbine. A greater length of the blades, more
power is obtained and therefore more energy.
• The wind turbines are in the wind farms.
5. TURBINE TYPES:
Vertical axis wind turbine
•The turbine blades are rotating in a plane parallel to the ground.
Horizontal axis wind turbine:
•Involves putting the power train in the top along the axis of
rotation.
6. ADVANTAGES OF WIND
ENERGY:
• It is a type of renewable energy.
• It is a clean energy because it produces
no emissions or polluting waste.
• It does not produce carbon dioxide
(CO2), so it does not contribute to the
greenhouse effect and climate change.
• It can coexist with other land uses, such
crops.
• Create a large number of jobs in
assembly plants and installation areas.
• Installation and maintenance is fast
7. DISADVANTAGES OF
WIND POWER:
• It’s random, as it depends on the wind.
• They can be a danger to flying animals.
• Wind farms require large tracts of land.
• Produce negative visual impacts on the landscape.
• Generate strong acoustic impacts.
• Your installation may be very excessive.
8. WIND ENERGY IN SPAIN:
The wind broke the record and providing 64% of electricity in
Spain in early 2013.
Wind energy is the third largest source of electricity generation in
Spain, behind the nuclear and coal. Spain is the fourth country in the world
for installed wind power, after China, the U.S. and Germany.
The largest wind farms are located in
Castilla y León, Galicia, Andalusia,
Canary Islands, Navarra and Aragon.
9. WIND ENERGY IN
MURCIA:the region of Murcia.
• Wind power occupies 3% of electricity in
• The Murcia region increased 15.5 percent wind energy
production in 2010.
• Murcia is the second Spanish region with the highest growth
in the wind power in the last two years, only behind Andalucía
