Education In The Middle Ages Essay
Education is the reason the world is filled with doctors, lawyers, policemen, accountants, and all the
other occupations that fuel modern society. In 1330, only five percent of the English population was
capable of reading and writing (Simkin). By 1500, sixty four Universities had been established in
Europe (McKitterick 152). William I, Duke of Normandy, gained control over England after he
conquered Harold at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Very few English citizens were educated at the
time; the only people who possessed academic knowledge were part of the church. Medieval England
developed at a rapid pace. Due to this growth, the need for education was urgent (Trueman). One can
better understand the role of education by examining its historical roots.
School in the Middle Ages relied on nature: it began at sunrise and ended at sunset and the breaks
were based on when families needed their children in the fields ( Not what it used ). The school
buildings consisted of one room where the boys studied with their teacher, who ordinarily had
previous religious experience. If a mistake was made during the memorization process, the teacher
would harshly slap the student s back side. No mistake would be made twice because of the memory
of the horrible pain inflicted on the student (Trueman). Although the students who attended school
were generally wealthy, students sat on the floor, utilizing a bone or an ivory stylus to write. The
students took notes on wax coated wooden blocks

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Knowledge Based Detection...
V. KNOWLEDGE BASED DETECTION TECHNIQUE Knowledge based detection Technique can
be used for both signature based IDS as well as anomaly based IDS. It accumulates the knowledge
about specific attacks and system vulnerabilities. It uses this knowledge to exploit the attacks and
vulnerabilities to generate the alarm. Any other event that is not recognized as an attack is accepted.
Therefore the accuracy of knowledge based intrusion detection systems is considered good. However
their completeness requires that their knowledge of attacks be updated regularly [29]. Advantages of
Knowledge based detection Technique: 1. The accuracy of this technique is good. 2. It has a very low
false alarm rates. 3. It is robust, flexible and scalable. [13] 4. The ... Show more content on

The semantic description of the attacks is transformed into information that can be found in the audit
trail in a straightforward way This method decreases the semantic level of the attacks description. This
technique allows a very efficient implementation and is therefore applied in various commercial
intrusion detection products e.g. Haystack [37].The main disadvantage of this technique is that like all
knowledge based approaches there is the need for frequent updates to keep up with the stream of new
vulnerabilities discovered. d. Petri Nets To represent signatures of intrusions, IDIOT [38], a
knowledge based intrusion detection system developed at Purdue University, uses Colored Petri Nets
(CPN). The advantages of CPNs are their generality, their conceptual simplicity, and their graphical
representability. System administrators are assisted in writing their own signatures of attacks and
integrating them in IDIOT. Owing to the generality of CPNs, quite complex signatures can be written
easily. However, matching a complex signature against the audit trail may become computationally
very expensive

Captain America Societal Figure
Captain America: American Societal Figure
Ever since the early 20th century, superheroes have been created and written about for readers around
the world. Although they are popular for their entertainment value, superheroes provide a deeper,
more profound purpose for society. For example, they serve as role models, teach vital morals, and
help people cope with real world issues. Possibly the best example of these purposes can be found in
Captain America, as he represents the American people through his loyalty and dedication to the
citizens of the United States of America. He was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby to represent a
fighting figure for America in World War II. This would not only strengthen the American identity, but
also garner the interest of Americans in joining the war effort. Captain America symbolizes patriotism
as he relentlessly supports and fights for America.
Captain America was created in early 1941 by writer Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby. Since Simon
and Kirby strongly believed that the United States should intervene in World War II to fight Adolf
Hitler, they created Captain America as a vehicle to draw attention to the threat posed by Nazi
Germany, (Schnakenberg). In the first comics that he starred in, Captain America was portrayed as a
soldier who passionately fought on the American side of World War II. The soldier went to war for
America and was loyal to the American cause, inspiring American citizens to join the war effort. His

The Link Between Social Interactions Among Peers And...
Introduction
Problem Formulation
Researchers have been discussing the link between social interactions among peers in school and
academic outcomes for over 40 years (Coleman, 1961). Children are categorized by the people they
associate with. Understanding the way social interactions affect academic achievement is important.
Major issue in the literature on peer pressure quality special mention are: cultural patterns penalizing
academic achievement and changes in the effect of peers over time.
Academics argue that peer pressure effects become important during adolescence (Steinberg, 1996).
Some literature says that is a cultural pattern within the African American and Latino population
where students discourage academic achievement (Ogbu, 1986). The purpose of this study is to
explain academic achievement by analyzing four factors: the peer pressure effect on students, gender,
and student s particular interest for education compared to their peers, and race and ethnicity.
This research relates to social work in many ways. Social workers find this research important because
during the adolescent stage, students are finding their own personal identity and their identity among
their peers. Students are also learning how to socialize. They socialize with peers who may share the
same goals as one another. Students may also socialize with those peers that have the same intellectual
vocabulary as one another.

Essay on Tantalum Electrolytic Capacitor
Tantalum Electrolytic Capacitor
Construction
The tantalum power undergoes a process called pressing. This mean that the powder is mixed with
binder to make sure the particles will stick together when pressed to form the anode which will flow
into press tool smoothly. A high pressure condition is applied to the tantalum powder around a
tantalum wire to form tantalum slug. The binder is removed by heating the slug under vacuum and
high temperature for a few minutes.
Next process is sintering, the tantalum is sintered at high temperature in vacuum and cause every
single particles rejoin to form a sponge like structure. This process makes the tantalum have strong
mechanical strength, density and give large internal surface. But beware the ... Show more content on

The graphite layer is functioned to prevent the direct contact of silver layer and manganese oxide.
Properties
The capacitance value of tantalum capacitors have the range between 1nF to 72mF and voltage rating
is from 2V to 500V or higher. The size of tantalum capacitor is smaller than aluminum capacitor in the
same capacitance value. The tantalum capacitor has its anode, electrolyte and cathode just like other
electrolytic capacitor. The anode is made by tantalum metal and not placed beside cathode so that only
small leakage of DC current will occur. The capacitance value is higher if the internal surface is
higher.
Strength
Tantalum electrolytic capacitor has high volumetric efficiency compare to other electrolytic capacitor.
Besides, tantalum capacitor has good frequency characteristic which mean they are more suitable in
using other application where normal electrolytic capacitor could not be done. It also has high
reliability, they say to be unlimited life time as an electrolytic capacitor. It can withstand extreme
temperate in range 55°C to 125°C. Furthermore, it has high level of compatibility with other modern
production.
Weakness
Tantalum electrolytic capacitor has low ripple current ratings which shrink the area of using them.
Tantalum capacitor cannot sustain excessive voltage or reversing the voltage, this may cause it to
explode. Lastly, the cost is higher compare to other capacitor.
Application
In industrial application,

Doctor Strange, a very strange movie indeed, and if you like mystery, magic, and a multiverse with
different dimensions then this is the right movie for you. Doctor Strange is part of the Marvel
universe, which includes Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Iron Man. While the Avengers protect the
world from physical threats, this movie takes us to a whole new level of mystical threats, much more
dangerous than the threats within our world itself, consisting of very powerful characters and ancient
magic. We are introduced to a much bigger reality which we learn is also protected by a different

Best Hurricane Shutters
How To Choose The Best Hurricane Shutters For Your Home When you live in an area where
hurricanes are possible, it s a good idea to prepare for one in advance, especially when it comes to
protecting your windows. You don t want to be frantically trying to find plywood and cut it into
window coverings at the last minute. Hurricane shutters are worth the investment since you can have
them already installed and ready to go as soon as you need them. There are a few choices when it
comes to hurricane shutters. Here are some tips for how to choose the best ones for your home.
Shutters That Are Controlled Remotely Many hurricane shutters have to be installed or rolled down
manually. However, you can also buy shutters that operate with a remote or wall switch. These also
have a battery backup so you can operate them even when the power is out. You can also turn your
tablet or smartphone into a remote control and close the shutters if you re away from home. If you
have a vacation home in hurricane country, these shutters would be ideal. They are also a good choice
if you want to open and close them from inside your house so you can peek outside and avoid going
outside in the rain to unlock the shutters. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All you have to do when a hurricane approaches is drop the shutters and lock them in place. These can
be made of metal, vinyl, or wood. When the storm passes, the shutters are rolled back to a box above
or to the sides of the windows until they are needed again, or they are propped back up on their legs. If
you don t like the appearance of shutters that roll into boxes, you can get decorative shutters with
louvers instead that add a little shade and glamour to your home when they re not protecting you from
a hurricane. Shutters You Have To

How Wrestling Has Changed My Life
Wrestling has and always will be a big part of my life, that s not to say I have had a pleasant nor a fair
time on the wrestling mat, but I guess life s not fair. I have always enjoyed wrestling from the first
time I stepped foot on a mat in kindergarten in my singlet that was 2 sizes too big, from the last time
leaving the mat as a junior in high school limping off the mat in some of the worst pain I ve ever felt
in my life. It s been in my family for as long as I can remember. My uncle has not missed being mat
side, yelling for his favorite wrestlers at the Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament in 20 years. My
cousin wrestled for Iowa State University before coming back to his hometown in Mankato and
suffering a career ending injury as well. My time on the mat was not always that of heart break. Going
through elementary I never had a losing season, let alone a season where I lost more than five
matches. In fifth and sixth grade I took place in NYWA and Gopher State. Gopher State is a
tournament for the top wrestlers in Minnesota and all the states surrounding it. That was some of the
hardest wrestling I have ever encountered. I placed in the top six at NYWA and not placing at Gopher
state unfortunately. The summer before my junior year I went to multiple wrestling camps costing
thousands of dollars and lasting weeks in time. And when it came time to vote for captains I just knew
I was going to get it. The night before the coach told us who was going to be awarded captain

Designing The Costume For The Tin Man
1. Imagine you are designing the costume for the Tin Man. What advantages and disadvantages does
the costume in the film have? (Consider aspects such as mobility, realism, artistic intent, and so on.)
Would you make any changes to the costume for a theater production? Why or why not? If i were to
design a costume for the tin man, some advantages would be price, and portability, but some of the
disadvantaged would be the way it may reflect light and also if it s comfortable for the one who wears
it.
2. In the scene where Dorothy says goodbye to Oz (time code 1:37:38), what is the mood of the scene?
How does the filmmaker achieve this mood? The mood of the scene was very depressing because of

Weekly Summary on Photosynthesis
Structure of the Chloroplast: Leafs contain chlorophyll and are the sites of photosynthesis in plants.
Their flattened surfaces gather energy from sunlight while openings on their undersides bring in
carbon dioxide and release oxygen. The cells of a leaf are pack in between two layers of epidermal
cells, which provide the leaf with a waxy, almost impermeable cuticle that defends against water loss.
The only way for gases to diffuse in and out of the leaf is through small openings on the underside of
the leaf, the stomata then open and close according to the plant s needs. The tissues of the leaf in
between the epidermal cells, in which gases diffuse from the stomata, are called mesophyll.

The electron acceptor of the light reactions, NADP+, is a relation to NAD , which functions as an
electron carrier in cellular respiration. The two molecules differ only by the presence of an extra
phosphate group in the NADP+ molecule. Light reactions use solar power to reduce NADP+ to
NADPH by adding a pair of electrons along with a hydrogen nucleus. The light reactions then
generate ATP by powering the addition of a phosphate group to ADP, a process called
photophosphorylation. Therefore, light energy is converted to chemical energy in the form of two
compounds which are NADPH, a source of energized electrons, and ATP, the useful energy currency
of the light reactions produce no sugar which occurs in the second stage of photosynthesis, which is
called the Calvin cycle.
Describing the 3 stages of Calvin cycle:
A) Fixation stage: In addition to CO2, the stroma and two other mechanisms are present to start the
light independent reactions; an enzyme called ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase and three molecules
of ribulose bisphosphate. RuBP has five atoms of carbon, bordered by two phosphates. RuBisCO
catalyzes a reaction between CO2 and RuBP. For each CO2 molecule that reacts with one RuBP, two
molecules of 3 phosphoglyceric acid form. The number of carbon atoms remains the same, as the
atoms move to form new bonds during the reactions. This process is called carbon fixation because
CO2 is fixed from an inorganic form into organic

The Janissary corps distinct social class and special privileges soon brought more harm than good to
the Sultans of the eighteenth Century. The group of men grew corrupt and lived above the law. Not
even the poor were given mercy. A prime example of this can be found in Lady Montague s Turkish
Embassy Letters, where the janissaries slaughter and feast on the poor s livestock then require the
households to pay teeth money. The lawlessness of these men grew so unbearable that Lady Montague
also observes and writes about, how tis the Emperor s interest to flatter [the janissaries] (Montagu,

Ahmed III was the first ruler of the eighteenth century. His close ties to the European rulers lead to
prosperous relations with the French and Swedish. Ahmed, during his reign, afforded refuge to
Charles XII of Sweden after the Swedish defeat under the hands of Peter I of Russia in the Battle of

Ottoman Empire s most notorious victory over Russia. Never before had the Ottoman forces come so

Safavids. Aside from the war, Ahmed left the finances of the Empire in a flourishing state

Pros And Cons Of Valley Forge
Imagine, the freezing cold, ripped clothing, no shoes, and inadequate clothing. Would you stay? Most
people wouldn t, but here is why you should stay at Valley Forge, during the Revolutionary War. Most
soldiers enlisted for for nine months, and left, never to reenlist again. Everyone would give up, or
abandon the Continental Army. So the real question is would you enlist? I would reenlist for three
reasons, it s easy to climb the ranks, if you leave you ll be labeled a summertime soldier, or chicken,
and finally, you can take pride in knowing you helped pave the way for American independence.
I would reenlist because it would be easy to climb the ranks, to then be labeled a hero. Looking at
document D, The American Crisis , by Thomas Paine states, The summer soldier and the sunshine

Merit Based Pay
Edmond Holmes, Great Britain s chief academic inspector, defined education in the era of merit based
pay as the teacher involved in laying thin films of information on the surface of the child s mind, and
then, after a brief interval, in skimming these off in order to satisfy himself that they have been duly
laid (Nelson, 2001). Holmes referred to this type of recall as being the equivalent of food which its
recipient has not been allowed to digest .
In 1918, 48 percent of U.S. public school districts described their payment systems as merit based. But
merit was subjective: White men were paid more than minorities and women, a disparity that
eventually fueled a movement toward a uniform pay scale. Two years after women won the vote, the
first uniform pay plans appeared in Denver, Colorado, and Des Moines, Iowa. By the 1950s, only 4
percent of U.S. school districts described themselves as merit based (Murnane Cohen, 1986; Protsik,

In order to decrease the number of cycles of infiltration and maintain a comparable cathode
performance, the viability of using a conductive composite scaffold of La0.8Sr0.2FeO3 and yttria
stablized zirconia (YSZ) with one infiltration cycle was investigated. The infiltration material is nitrate
salt solution of La, Sr, Co and Fe to form La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 perovskite phase. Cathodes
fabricated from scaffolds using different ratios of LSF YSZ were tested by impedance spectroscopy

1,2 In this case, YSZ is included in the cathode to provide ionic conductivity, as well as enhancing the
connection between the electrode and the YSZ electrolyte. YSZ in the electrode also helps match the
thermal expansion of the electrode to the electrolyte.1 4 The functions of LSM in the composite
cathode include providing electronic conductivity and catalytic activity, but with negligible
contributions to ionic conductivity.4,5
The conventional method for fabricating the electrode is to deposit and sinter a mixture of the
electrode composites onto a dense YSZ electrolyte.4 The sintering temperature must be a compromise,
high enough to ensure the good connection between YSZ in the electrode and the electrolyte, but low
enough to prevent solid state reactions between the electrode composites.2,5 Indeed, most conducting
perovkites are unable to be prepared due to the formation of insulating phases at high temperatures
required for YSZ sintering.4 Therefore, the infiltration method was initially developed to separate the
high calcination temperature required to densify the YSZ electrolyte from the lower calcinations
temperature needed for the other electrode components.1,4,5 Furthermore, the infiltration method
provides a nonrandom structure where the electronically conductive components are deposited into the
previously formed porous YSZ scaffold.1 4 Infiltration also forms superior

SD Capoeira has been actively being practiced in India for the past ten years under the leadership of
my teacher, Reza Baba Massah. It is a unique self defense martial art form that finds its roots in
Brazil. Practiced by the slaves 500 years ago, it has now evolved into a complete fitness and defense
training form. Though it is a non combative sport, it is one of the deadliest martial arts owing to the
kicks and take downs it involves.
ND What keeps you motivated?
SD My love for movements makes me need to move always. This also translates as my motivation at
times.
ND How do you intend on passing this motivation to others as well?
SD For me fitness is a personal goal. Working out for yourself is the best gift you can give you. It is a
feeling you need to experience after a good workout. The exhaustion which is also an euphoric high
leaving you more energized than tired. This is motivation enough for others to continue doing it. And
then noticing the long term physical and mental benefits get you addicted.

Deep Sea Sounding On Challenger
11. Deep sea sounding on Challenger HMS Challenger sounding logs show that by September 1873,
the Baillie was used to conduct most of Challenger s deep sea sounding work. Unlike a wire sounder
tested and rejected earlier in the voyage, the Baillie sounder was able to move within the ship s
existing system of instrumentation and materials. As with HMS Sylvia, sounding was conducted from
the mainyard, and a steam engine on the deck helped to retrieve the sounder from the ocean floor.
Similar to the Hydra, officers timed and calculated the Baillie s rate of decent. When the sounder
slowed, the ocean s depth was ascertained by the length of the sounding line. 12. Other instruments It
is often overlooked that the Baillie sounder worked as a system with other instruments. In addition to
the sounder, several thermometers, a water collection bottle and a pressure gauge were often attached
to the hemp sounding line. In this manner, the Baillie sounder worked in concert with several other
instruments collecting information about the ocean floor. The ability of the Baillie sounder to transport
sea floor materials to the surface was useful for the laying of telegraph cables, but also essential for
scientific analysis. Samples of the ocean bottom provided key evidence for developing theories about
life in the deep ocean, and how species evolved over time. For example, in 1865 zoologist Thomas
Huxley claimed Bathybius haecklii was a type of primordial ooze that lived on the deep

Title
Romer, Daniel, Hall Jamieson, Kathleen Aday, Sean 2003, Television News and the Cultivation of
Fear of Crime , Journal of communication, vol. 53, pp. 88 104.
Topic
This paper explores the concept of cultivation theory and the way in which violent programming on
television can instil fear and influence perceptions when it comes to experiencing crime in the
community. In using research findings to explore their hypothesis, the authors focus on analyzing data
which underpins their prediction that television viewers are influenced to believe in a social reality, in
this case a life threatened by crime, incongruous or actual crime rates.
Context
The context of this paper fits neatly within a number of fields and disciplines spanning
communication, sociology, politics, criminology and education. Published in the flagship journal of
the International Communication Association for an academic readership, it is thorough and
innovative in using a combination of research findings while also considering race, wealth and
geographical demographics. This is a persuasive construct that supports the thesis. As such, this paper
been considered an important source of information for communications scholars, students, media
strategists, news media producers, governments and policy makers. From the time it was published in
2003, the paper has been cited in several academic journals while the individual authors have

Low-Fiber Diets
Introduction
Fiber is found in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. A low fiber diet restricts fibrous foods that are
not digested in the small intestine. A diet is considered to be low fiber if it contains about 10 15 grams
of fiber a day. In general, a low fiber food will have fewer than 2 grams of fiber per serving. Low fiber
diets may be used to:
Promote healing and rest the bowel during intestinal flare ups.
Prevent blockage of a partially blocked or narrowed gastrointestinal tract.
Reduce fecal weight and volume.
Slow bowel movements.
You may be on a low fiber diet as a transitional diet following surgery, after an injury, or because of a

Musical Theatre Comparison Essay
Musicals and Opera are both very similar forms of Musical Theatre that involve singing, acting and
dancing. But they also have important differences. Musicals and Opera differ in the importance of the
words, the number of people attending each year, and the style of music they use. Many people enjoy
both kinds of musical theatre, both in performing them and being in the audience. It is a form of
expression enjoyed by all generations. In musicals the dialogue and the lyrics in songs are extremely
important to getting the message across. Shows are known for their witty one liners and for telling the
story during iconic songs. It would be extremely difficult to understand what is happening if you
watched a musical that was written in another language. This is quite the opposite from an Opera, the
majority of operas are written in Italian, German or French. For someone who speaks a language other
than the one being performed, it is not a problem. The main focus in opera is on the music. The story

Industry Analysis With the expansion of world economy, surfing is not only a sport but also a life style
and that leads to high demand of surfing products. The number of firms enters that industry keep
increasing as its attractive potential profits and less barrier to enter into that industry. Both companies
have more bargaining power compared with their supplier and customer as their famous brand and
diversified products could encourage suppliers to have long term business relationship with the
company and satisfy the unique needs of customers. Overall, the prospects of this industry are
optimistic; it did not shock too much under the downturn of economy. Surfing is an increasingly
popular and well known culture; companies need to continuing innovation in order to satisfy customer
s needs. b. Competitive Analysis As number of firms in the industry keeps increasing, greater
competition force firms to earn more market share, innovate substitutes, produce differentiate products
and be cost leadership to keep or improve their position in the industry. For example, some of the
products of Billabong and Quiksilver are similar, consumer will choose to buy the one with lower
price if they have similar function, or buy the one with higher price if the product is different from
others. Thus, a firm could run well if it has different products and lower cost compared with rivals. c.

A Research Study On Vascular Imaging
Introduction
Vascular ultrasound (US) is an established non invasive method of imaging the cardiovascular system.
It is cheap, accessible and provides a rapid diagnosis of many vascular diseases such as presence of
abdominal aortic aneurysm, deep vein thrombosis and limb arterial occlusions. The majority of
vascular ultrasound currently done in the UK is trans cutaneous ultrasound, in which the US probe
obtains images of the vessels from above the skin.
In recent years intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) has gained popularity in obtaining high resolution
images of the blood vessels from inside the vascular lumen, providing detailed information of the
vascular lesions and their anatomy.
In this review, utilisation of IVUS in different areas of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The standard IVUS sheaths are 9 Fr with a 0.035 inch guidewire, however 0.014 inch catheters are
available for smaller arteries (Kpodonu et al., 2008).
Once inside the target vessel, IVUS obtains 360 degrees cross sectional images. The sonic wave
reflections from the arterial wall differ depending on the structure of the arterial wall components.
Collagen and elastin produce a stronger sonic reflection thus a hyper echoic picture of the intima and
adventitia, whilst the smooth muscle cells in the media produce a hypo echoic picture due to reduced
sonic reflection from these structures (Kpodonu et al., 2008). New generation IVUS devices can
produce three dimensional pictures by stacking the two dimensional axial images during pull back of
the US catheter. The pull back could be done either manually or mechanically using a motor. 3 D
images are useful in assessment of endovascular device deployment failures, which might not be
detected in conventional angiographies. 3 D images are also helpful in sizing of the arteries and veins
for endovascular device planning (Weissman et al., 1995; Heuser et al., 1997).
IVUS can provide B mode and colour images from inside the vessels. The transducers frequencies are
generally between 10 MHz and 40MHz (Lee and White, 2004). New generation IVUS with
frequencies of 40MHz to 50MHz are useful for imaging the coronary arteries (Lee and White, 2004).
Although higher frequencies can produce higher resolution images, this would

The Play Antonia
Antonia
Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Oscar F. Brockett Theater, the Cohen New Works Festival presented the
play Antonia. The Chicana adaptation of Antigone. Si Mon Emmett; project leader, Conner Palmore;
director, and D Lonte Lawson; choreographer aimed to honor generations of marginalized
communities in the United States. With the help of the theatre space, costumes, and powerful acting
this vibrant play reaches its full effect as it brings the audience to its plot.
Theatre Space: Antonia was presented in a thrust stage. This type of stage allowed for the audience to
be more intimate with the actors and form part of the world in which the play was taking place. In the
first scene, during the dance off, the actors invite the audience ... Show more content on

Antonia, the main character wore jeans, black Converse, a spaghetti strap shirt that showed her belly
area, a high pony tail, hoop earrings, and spandex underneath her jeans. On the other hand, her
brothers, wore Nike sneakers, a hoodie, sweatpants, hats, and a bandana. This choice of costumes
really helped refocus the idea that Antonia is the Chicana adaptation of Antigone
Acting:
Antonia is a woman who will do anything for her loved ones even if that means puttieng her life is on
the line. Throughout the play, Si Mon Emmett demonstrates Antonia s strong character. The best
example of this is seen after intermission, when Antonia must faces her Nino after breaking the rules
for Terra, her deceased brother. In this scene, Si Mon Emmet keeps herself grounded and defiant
despite the proximity she has with the audience. With the use of her voice, energy, and timing, Emmet
acts with strength and presents her character well.
Conclusion:
Overall this new work, is fun and captivating. The ability to bring the audience into the Chicano world
and understand the struggle of its characters should be recognized. The choice of theatre space,
costumes, and actors are three of the many elements that help it stand out.

For methodology, it was fortunate that I got the opportunity to join the Directed Reading Program on
statistical methods, ranking soccer teams in cooperation with Dr. Steve. Because outcomes involving
multiple categories occur more often, we wanted to compare and improve existing ranking methods,
and made them suitable for more classifications. For example, primarily, there was only one
classification: scores. To advance, currently, classification of yardages would also be considered when
ranking. After collecting unstructured data online, we used least squares to get the squared matrix for
Massey s Method but found it failed to cover multiple categories simultaneously. After research and
comparison of other methods, we found that Markov Method succeeded because the weights can be
assigned to eigenvectors of normalized stochastic matrices. Since we have found the desired method,
we reached the agreement that the comparison between the two methods was consequential here. The
results by using the two methods of ranking the same set of scores were different. Therefore, on the
seminar, I concluded that Markov methods outperformed Massey s Method in the research, but further
research suggests that Massey s Methods have a better performance under some circumstances. It is
the charisma of data science that analysts should adjust measures to local situations. During the
research, MATLAB dominated to produce outcomes. However, it functions more on mathematical

A Report On Animal Testing
Summary The case revolves around a company named Surplus Styles that manufactures hair care
products. Over the past years, the company has been focusing on providing low cost products and that
was its competitive advantage against its competitors. They choose their suppliers, who provided the
contents for their bottles. This was their main competitive bidding method. Since Surplus Styles was
focusing on providing low cost products, they did not focus on quality of the products. As a result they
were not meeting the new market demands that were trending towards products with high quality.
Now, the company is facing some issues regarding the quality of their products due to the rising

Root Cellar By Theodore Roethke Essay
Imagine being in a dark room with one barely lit lightbulb swinging back and forth. The moist air is
chilling your arms and causing slight goosebumps to crawl up your sleeve. The paranoia of someone
watching your every moment or a centipede creeping on your arm. The constant fear of going to sleep
because of sleep paralysis. The only door in that dark, lifeless room is locked and kept away from you
escaping. The light that peeks out of the crevices in the door slowly taunting you. Forcing you to
understand that life continues on despite the circumstances perceived. Theodore Roethke emphasizes
the tenacity and determination of life continuously going on despite certain conditions in the poem
Root Cellar by using multiple poetic devices. As humans, we learn about the morality of our lives at a
young age. Roethke captures the connection of the plants slowly budding in the root cellar to the
tenacity of life. Through this poem simile and metaphor was used to compare simple gardening tools
to specific objects that relate to their characteristics. For example, Roethke compares the shoots of life

The Importance Of Mental Health Counseling
Mental Health counseling can be described as a therapy for people with emotional problems that affect
their day to day lives. One loses control of their own lives, needs skills, encouragement and help to
change their behaviors, which could be causing them to feel hopeless.
Wellness is helping a client by achieving their highest level of functioning through mind, body, and
spirit. Counselors must help their clients to become well again. By doing this Mental Health
Counselors should examine the client to see where their weaknesses are and their strength are. This
will give the Mental Health counselor a plan to help them reach balance in their life.
Resilience is a way someone deals with their stress and life concerns. In order for one to achieve
wellness, they must have resilience. The Counselor must help clients learn skills needed to deal with
their issues at hand and to be able to overcome or at least be able to handle them, so they can become
mentally well.
Counseling in the nineteenth century began when people started talking about their emotional
problems and was practiced in the form of advice. Earlier they called themselves social advocates,
teachers and helped people in education, legal reforms, and employment guidance. Sigmund Freud
developed the theory of psychoanalysis where it focused on the internal conflicts and brought about
psychotherapy. In the early 1900 s three pioneer s contributed to the advancement of counseling:
Frank Parsons, Jessie B Davis, and Clifford Beers. These important benchmarks helped to spread its
practice. First, in 1913 the national vocational guidance association (NVGA) the forerunner of today s
American Counseling Association. Second, in 1917 the Smith s Huge act provided public school
funding for vocational education. Last, the Army s psychological screening devices were set for
psychological testing.
Addiction Counseling has a history as early as native American advocacy leaders. In the nineteenth
century, temperance missionaries had lay alcohol therapists, and paraprofessional counselors worked
into the twentieth century and contributed to the evolution of modern addiction counseling as a
specialized profession.
Addiction counseling addresses the problems related to

Sediment Contamination
Sediments are formed from fine grained waste material due to erosion from the mine site. It often
contains dissolved metals as a result of the mining processes containing some toxic constituents such
as lead and high levels of mercury. During severe storm events and high snowmelt periods, erosion
transports a significant amount of sediments and chemicals pollutants into locals streams. Dissolved
metals often settle under the stream bed and cause decreases in macroinvertebrate and benthic
invertebrate populations. Metal accumulation in aquatic organisms, particularly benthic species, can
also lead to acute and chronic toxicity to aquatic life [EPA 35]. In addition, research has shown a
correlation between an increase in suspended solids with a decrease in density of macroinvertebrate
and benthic invertebrate populations. High turbidity can also reduce passages of light and prevent
photosynthetic activity of aquatic plants [EPA 34 35]. Aquatic plants are a major food source for
macroinvertebrates and benthic invertebrates. The reduction of plants can stimulate further declines in
aquatic life populations. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Metals that settle in the stream bed can be transported by bioaccumulation. If contaminated fish is
consumed, metals may be transferred to humans and impact their physical health. Human are exposed
to the toxic metals by drinking water contaminated by sediments [EPA 35]. In addition to potential
impacts on human and aquatic life, sedimentation can also physically impact the hydraulic system.
Physical impact associated with mining includes the filling of deep pools that can result in the loss of
habitat and temperature increases [EPA 35]. Excess sediment can build up behind dams and raise
reservoir water levels. In addition to this, sedimentation can also cause the channel to widen and
become shallower. Thus, increasing the frequency of overbank flow [EPA

Historical Context Of The Treaty Of Versailles
Treaty of Versailles: Historical Context Ninety eight years ago, after the fighting of World War I
subsided, the Treaty of Versailles ( the Treaty ) was signed at the Palace of Versailles in France by the
Allied powers and Germany. The compromise of the Treaty is that it ended World War I. The conflict
of the Treaty is that it fed the German s hate for the Allied Powers and, in turn, was the cause of World
War II. In their hearts was a stern resolution that the fiasco of November 11, 1918, would not be
repeated for all serious people in America, as in all nations, remembered that much hailed Versailles
Treaty was sown the very seeds of World War II (Library Of Congress. Manzanar free press,
November 12, 1942. 1942. Newspaper. Retrieved from the Library of Congress,
https://www.loc.gov/item/sn84025948/1942 11 12/ed 1/. )
David Lloyd George, the Prime minister of Britain, Georges Clemenceau, the French Prime Minister,
and the Italian Prime Minister, Vittoria Orlando, made up the Big Three that wrote the Treaty.
Woodrow Wilson, the United States president at the time, also took part in the writing of the Treaty
although, out of his fourteen points, only one made it into the Treaty because the European leaders had
a different agenda. Germany would also be involved, although not in the writing process, but would be
most affected by the provisions of the Treaty.
During the signing of the Treaty, the U. S. citizens and senate would oppose their president in wanting

A Modern Day Form Of Slavery Essay
Literature Review
While DMST is considered to be a modern day form of slavery, history has recorded that the sexual
exploitation of children has been practiced in America since its colonization. While slavery was
abolished in the 19th century, it did not dissipate completely and it wasn t until the beginning of the
20th century that the issue of child sex trafficking began to receive significant attention. This was in
part due to the Trafficking Victim s Protection Act (TVPA) that was passed in 2000 which protected
victims of trafficking by enhancing criminal penalties under the law as well as made benefits and
services to victims available (TVPA, 2000). Since the act s establishment, the TVPA has been
amended 4 times in order to grow with the changing attitudes, policies, and approaches to best combat
human trafficking (DeCeoursty, 2016). The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 refueled the
United States dedication to sex trafficking by declaring DMST as a threat to national security which
transformed the way human trafficking should be approached (DeCeoursty, 2016). The post 911
environment embraced a crime control approach by focusing more on combating organized crime
activity instead of the issue of human rights and the recognition of victimization (DeCeoursty, 2016).
However, this crime control approach to human trafficking failed to address the underlying structural
problems, which is the high demand for the sex trafficking industry. Over time, the Department of

Organic Foods And Organic Food
In 1980, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) took an interest in organic farming, publishing a
report titled Report and Recommendations on Organic Farming. (Organic Debate, 2014) As organic
foods have been growing rapidly in the last 20 years there has been a lot of talking about whether or
not organic foods are healthy. As people today have been eating a lot more of organic foods they are
having arguments stating that organic food is not what they say on the labels. Although people think
that organic food is not what the farmers say it is, it still helps people with there health and provides a
healthier lifestyle. In order to maintain the apparent understanding of organic food buying behaviors
of consumers, it can be helpful to examine the effect of motivating factors on both the attitude towards
organic foods and the intention to buy organic foods together with the mediation effect of attitude
towards organic foods (Cabuk, 2014).
People tend to argue on the fact of whether or not organic foods are good for them. According to Soley
s article it states that Organic foods are healthier for consumers, farmers, and the planet, says Cathy
Fichtner, category manager for chocolate, cocoa, caramel, Global Organics, Ltd. Organic production
reduces exposure to toxic and persistent chemicals in the foods we eat and for farm workers and their
families (Soley, 2015). By having this information published they are agreeing with the people who
are for Organic foods. Organic

3 Idiots Mirage High School Research Paper
Should Rancho Mirage High School have school uniforms?
Most people that were surveyed at Rancho Mirage High School said that we shouldn t wear uniforms.
This is because uniforms are expensive, even though they say they are free but they actually take the
money from your budget and also it depends how many kids you have at the house. Another reason
that you should not wear uniforms is that people get to loose the ability to express themselves through
clothing. According to studies uniforms are supposed to help you get to school earlier and more often,
pay attention better, and also to score better on tests, but do they really? People that were surveyed
said that how are uniforms supposed to help us be better at school it is just clothes.

Italian Unification Research Paper
Italy Post 1815
There were many different empires on the European continent before Napoleon s rule. As many as 20
Italian city states existed, all of which were tiny. Before unification, Italy had not been unified since
the Roman Empire. The Congress of Vienna restored pre Napoleonic independent governments. The
Austrian Empire opposed unification because it controlled Northeastern Italy at the time. The papacy
(the Pope and the church) also opposed unification because it feared persecution. Whether the new
Italy would be a confederation, a republic, or a monarchy was not yet decided.

Language In Hurston s Their Eyes Were Watching God
While one may use crippling language to perpetuate endless mental and physical imprisonment upon
others, the utilization and knowledge of language allocates for personal freedom and empowerment.
Through various forms of manipulation language exercises an oppressive force over others.
Throughout history, men have often held authoritative allowing for the degradation and inferiority of
women in the eyes of society. Similar to colonial America in which slaves were viewed as property,
the language of men in Their Eyes Were Watching God emulates similar connotations. Hurston
exhibits the issue of male dominance over females and males need to control females stating [Jody]

Pronouns, while seemingly minute, remain an aspect of language that embraces equality by allowing
for implications of one s speech to denote possession or relationship. Unlike the men Janie previously
married, Tea Cake demonstrates a marriage founded on unity, rather than ownership. Such equality
emerges through his use of the pronoun us, conveniently forgotten by the men of her past, as he offers
a suggestion by stating Janie, us got tuh git outa dis house and outa dis man s town (Hurston 201).
Here, Tea Cake demonstrates his desires as he hopes for Janie to remain united with him. Tea Cake
also acquires the input of his wife by asking questions demonstrating a genuine interest in her
opinions. His approach in speech allows for Janie to counter argue freely as an equal, rather than battle
or fear opposing the opinion of her spouse. Likewise, manipulating injurious language allows one to
experience freedom from persecution by filling old thoughts with new words ... to fit [these

What Are The Importance Of Freedom Of Speech
Imagine a school free of disruptions. Free of bullying and harassment. That s what all students and
teachers want, right? Report to school every day,get a proper education. But that s not the case in all
schools. Some students are not able to learn during the school day. They may get distracted by going
off topic in class or get disturbed by what someone is wearing. If their freedom of speech is limited,
students will actually be able to learn. Freedom of speech should have limits because it increases
education time, it allows kids to prepare for the future, and it limits bullying and harassment. Firstly,
freedom of speech should have limits because it increases education time. For example, students can
lose up to 38 days a year due to disruptions in class and about 1 hour per day (Al.com). Teenagers
report to school to get an education and learn for the future, they do not show up at school to talk to
everyone the entire day. Due of talking, they lose class time and they do not get much done. If
freedom of speech is limited students will be able to learn more. Also if another peer is wearing
something that is very distracting, this will disrupt the class. For example, the Tinker v.s Des Moines
Independent Community School District case was about students wearing armbands to support the
Vietnam War. The appearance of the armband distracted their peers from their work. The school was
able to discipline the students wearing the bands . ( Tinker v.

Wild horses of Asstatuge live in Maryland. Asstatuge is an Island so the horses are shown in water.
The horses on Asstatug Island survive from each other. Asstatuge s horses are herds of horses so they
do not have an owner. That s why they are called wild horses because there don t have an owner. One
Reason, Asstauge horses would have to drink the water from the Island. So Therethere survival relies
on the water from the Island. Also, the horses would sometimes swim in the water. Then, the horses
are in herds because they are protected by each other. Also, the horses will return to the Island. Wild
ponies of Chincoteague are from Asstatuge because of the poor weather in Asststuge. Also, horses

  • 2. Education In The Middle Ages Essay Education is the reason the world is filled with doctors, lawyers, policemen, accountants, and all the other occupations that fuel modern society. In 1330, only five percent of the English population was capable of reading and writing (Simkin). By 1500, sixty four Universities had been established in Europe (McKitterick 152). William I, Duke of Normandy, gained control over England after he conquered Harold at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Very few English citizens were educated at the time; the only people who possessed academic knowledge were part of the church. Medieval England developed at a rapid pace. Due to this growth, the need for education was urgent (Trueman). One can better understand the role of education by examining its historical roots. School in the Middle Ages relied on nature: it began at sunrise and ended at sunset and the breaks were based on when families needed their children in the fields ( Not what it used ). The school buildings consisted of one room where the boys studied with their teacher, who ordinarily had previous religious experience. If a mistake was made during the memorization process, the teacher would harshly slap the student s back side. No mistake would be made twice because of the memory of the horrible pain inflicted on the student (Trueman). Although the students who attended school were generally wealthy, students sat on the floor, utilizing a bone or an ivory stylus to write. The students took notes on wax coated wooden blocks ... • 3. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Knowledge Based Detection... V. KNOWLEDGE BASED DETECTION TECHNIQUE Knowledge based detection Technique can be used for both signature based IDS as well as anomaly based IDS. It accumulates the knowledge about specific attacks and system vulnerabilities. It uses this knowledge to exploit the attacks and vulnerabilities to generate the alarm. Any other event that is not recognized as an attack is accepted. Therefore the accuracy of knowledge based intrusion detection systems is considered good. However their completeness requires that their knowledge of attacks be updated regularly [29]. Advantages of Knowledge based detection Technique: 1. The accuracy of this technique is good. 2. The semantic description of the attacks is transformed into information that can be found in the audit trail in a straightforward way This method decreases the semantic level of the attacks description. Petri Nets To represent signatures of intrusions, IDIOT [38], a knowledge based intrusion detection system developed at Purdue University, uses Colored Petri Nets (CPN). The advantages of CPNs are their generality, their conceptual simplicity, and their graphical representability. System administrators are assisted in writing their own signatures of attacks and integrating them in IDIOT. Owing to the generality of CPNs, quite complex signatures can be written easily. • 4. Captain America Societal Figure Captain America: American Societal Figure Ever since the early 20th century, superheroes have been created and written about for readers around the world. Although they are popular for their entertainment value, superheroes provide a deeper, more profound purpose for society. For example, they serve as role models, teach vital morals, and help people cope with real world issues. Possibly the best example of these purposes can be found in Captain America, as he represents the American people through his loyalty and dedication to the citizens of the United States of America. He was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby to represent a fighting figure for America in World War II. This would not only strengthen the American identity, but also garner the interest of Americans in joining the war effort. Captain America symbolizes patriotism as he relentlessly supports and fights for America. Captain America was created in early 1941 by writer Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby. Since Simon and Kirby strongly believed that the United States should intervene in World War II to fight Adolf Hitler, they created Captain America as a vehicle to draw attention to the threat posed by Nazi Germany, (Schnakenberg). In the first comics that he starred in, Captain America was portrayed as a soldier who passionately fought on the American side of World War II. The soldier went to war for America and was loyal to the American cause, inspiring American citizens to join the war effort. His origin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Link Between Social Interactions Among Peers And... Introduction Problem Formulation Researchers have been discussing the link between social interactions among peers in school and academic outcomes for over 40 years (Coleman, 1961). Children are categorized by the people they associate with. Understanding the way social interactions affect academic achievement is important. Major issue in the literature on peer pressure quality special mention are: cultural patterns penalizing academic achievement and changes in the effect of peers over time. Academics argue that peer pressure effects become important during adolescence (Steinberg, 1996). Some literature says that is a cultural pattern within the African American and Latino population where students discourage academic achievement (Ogbu, 1986). The purpose of this study is to explain academic achievement by analyzing four factors: the peer pressure effect on students, gender, and student s particular interest for education compared to their peers, and race and ethnicity. This research relates to social work in many ways. Social workers find this research important because during the adolescent stage, students are finding their own personal identity and their identity among their peers. Students are also learning how to socialize. They socialize with peers who may share the same goals as one another. Students may also socialize with those peers that have the same intellectual vocabulary as one another. Literature Review Introduction The purpose of this study is to ... Properties The capacitance value of tantalum capacitors have the range between 1nF to 72mF and voltage rating is from 2V to 500V or higher. The size of tantalum capacitor is smaller than aluminum capacitor in the same capacitance value. The tantalum capacitor has its anode, electrolyte and cathode just like other electrolytic capacitor. The anode is made by tantalum metal and not placed beside cathode so that only small leakage of DC current will occur. The capacitance value is higher if the internal surface is higher. Strength Tantalum electrolytic capacitor has high volumetric efficiency compare to other electrolytic capacitor. Besides, tantalum capacitor has good frequency characteristic which mean they are more suitable in using other application where normal electrolytic capacitor could not be done. It also has high reliability, they say to be unlimited life time as an electrolytic capacitor. It can withstand extreme temperate in range 55°C to 125°C. Furthermore, it has high level of compatibility with other modern production. Weakness Tantalum electrolytic capacitor has low ripple current ratings which shrink the area of using them. I have always enjoyed wrestling from the first time I stepped foot on a mat in kindergarten in my singlet that was 2 sizes too big, from the last time leaving the mat as a junior in high school limping off the mat in some of the worst pain I ve ever felt in my life. It s been in my family for as long as I can remember. My uncle has not missed being mat side, yelling for his favorite wrestlers at the Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament in 20 years. Going through elementary I never had a losing season, let alone a season where I lost more than five matches. In fifth and sixth grade I took place in NYWA and Gopher State. Gopher State is a tournament for the top wrestlers in Minnesota and all the states surrounding it. That was some of the hardest wrestling I have ever encountered. I placed in the top six at NYWA and not placing at Gopher state unfortunately. Their flattened surfaces gather energy from sunlight while openings on their undersides bring in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. The only way for gases to diffuse in and out of the leaf is through small openings on the underside of the leaf, the stomata then open and close according to the plant s needs. The two molecules differ only by the presence of an extra phosphate group in the NADP+ molecule. The light reactions then generate ATP by powering the addition of a phosphate group to ADP, a process called photophosphorylation. Merit Based Pay Edmond Holmes, Great Britain s chief academic inspector, defined education in the era of merit based pay as the teacher involved in laying thin films of information on the surface of the child s mind, and then, after a brief interval, in skimming these off in order to satisfy himself that they have been duly laid (Nelson, 2001). Holmes referred to this type of recall as being the equivalent of food which its recipient has not been allowed to digest . In 1918, 48 percent of U.S. public school districts described their payment systems as merit based. But merit was subjective: White men were paid more than minorities and women, a disparity that eventually fueled a movement toward a uniform pay scale. Two years after women won the vote, the first uniform pay plans appeared in Denver, Colorado, and Des Moines, Iowa. Deep sea sounding on Challenger HMS Challenger sounding logs show that by September 1873, the Baillie was used to conduct most of Challenger s deep sea sounding work. Unlike a wire sounder tested and rejected earlier in the voyage, the Baillie sounder was able to move within the ship s existing system of instrumentation and materials. As with HMS Sylvia, sounding was conducted from the mainyard, and a steam engine on the deck helped to retrieve the sounder from the ocean floor. Similar to the Hydra, officers timed and calculated the Baillie s rate of decent. When the sounder slowed, the ocean s depth was ascertained by the length of the sounding line. 12. Other instruments It is often overlooked that the Baillie sounder worked as a system with other instruments. In addition to the sounder, several thermometers, a water collection bottle and a pressure gauge were often attached to the hemp sounding line. In this manner, the Baillie sounder worked in concert with several other instruments collecting information about the ocean floor. The ability of the Baillie sounder to transport sea floor materials to the surface was useful for the laying of telegraph cables, but also essential for scientific analysis. Samples of the ocean bottom provided key evidence for developing theories about life in the deep ocean, and how species evolved over time. It is cheap, accessible and provides a rapid diagnosis of many vascular diseases such as presence of abdominal aortic aneurysm, deep vein thrombosis and limb arterial occlusions. The majority of vascular ultrasound currently done in the UK is trans cutaneous ultrasound, in which the US probe obtains images of the vessels from above the skin. In recent years intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) has gained popularity in obtaining high resolution images of the blood vessels from inside the vascular lumen, providing detailed information of the vascular lesions and their anatomy. In this review, utilisation of IVUS in different areas of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The standard IVUS sheaths are 9 Fr with a 0.035 inch guidewire, however 0.014 inch catheters are available for smaller arteries (Kpodonu et al., 2008). Once inside the target vessel, IVUS obtains 360 degrees cross sectional images. The sonic wave reflections from the arterial wall differ depending on the structure of the arterial wall components. Collagen and elastin produce a stronger sonic reflection thus a hyper echoic picture of the intima and adventitia, whilst the smooth muscle cells in the media produce a hypo echoic picture due to reduced sonic reflection from these structures (Kpodonu et al., 2008). New generation IVUS devices can produce three dimensional pictures by stacking the two dimensional axial images during pull back of the US catheter. The pull back could be done either manually or mechanically using a motor. 3 D images are useful in assessment of endovascular device deployment failures, which might not be detected in conventional angiographies. 3 D images are also helpful in sizing of the arteries and veins for endovascular device planning (Weissman et al., 1995; Heuser et al., 1997). IVUS can provide B mode and colour images from inside the vessels. The transducers frequencies are generally between 10 MHz and 40MHz (Lee and White, 2004). New generation IVUS with frequencies of 40MHz to 50MHz are useful for imaging the coronary arteries (Lee and White, 2004). After collecting unstructured data online, we used least squares to get the squared matrix for Massey s Method but found it failed to cover multiple categories simultaneously. After research and comparison of other methods, we found that Markov Method succeeded because the weights can be assigned to eigenvectors of normalized stochastic matrices. • 42. A Modern Day Form Of Slavery Essay Literature Review While DMST is considered to be a modern day form of slavery, history has recorded that the sexual exploitation of children has been practiced in America since its colonization. While slavery was abolished in the 19th century, it did not dissipate completely and it wasn t until the beginning of the 20th century that the issue of child sex trafficking began to receive significant attention. This was in part due to the Trafficking Victim s Protection Act (TVPA) that was passed in 2000 which protected victims of trafficking by enhancing criminal penalties under the law as well as made benefits and services to victims available (TVPA, 2000). Since the act s establishment, the TVPA has been amended 4 times in order to grow with the changing attitudes, policies, and approaches to best combat human trafficking (DeCeoursty, 2016). The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 refueled the United States dedication to sex trafficking by declaring DMST as a threat to national security which transformed the way human trafficking should be approached (DeCeoursty, 2016). The post 911 environment embraced a crime control approach by focusing more on combating organized crime activity instead of the issue of human rights and the recognition of victimization (DeCeoursty, 2016). Report to school every day,get a proper education. But that s not the case in all schools. Some students are not able to learn during the school day. They may get distracted by going off topic in class or get disturbed by what someone is wearing. If their freedom of speech is limited, students will actually be able to learn. Freedom of speech should have limits because it increases education time, it allows kids to prepare for the future, and it limits bullying and harassment. Firstly, freedom of speech should have limits because it increases education time. For example, students can lose up to 38 days a year due to disruptions in class and about 1 hour per day (Al.com). Teenagers report to school to get an education and learn for the future, they do not show up at school to talk to everyone the entire day. Due of talking, they lose class time and they do not get much done. If freedom of speech is limited students will be able to learn more.
