3. Literary Analysis Of Out-Out, By Robert Frost
The poem, Out Out , by Robert Frost, is a rather peculiar poem that primarily may be tricky to
understand. Nonetheless, it is intriguing and full of key examples of complex poetic terms,
vocabulary, and structure. A key part of any literary work, the purpose, can be drawn from Out Out ,
that being to show that death calls to many people at any given time, and that no one dwells on the
death of people or cares about others at all, and should. The first part of the purpose of the poem Out
Out is to show that death calls to many people at any time. Evidence for this can be easily located on
lines 1, 7, and 8 of the poem, where it says, The buzz saw snarled and rattled in the yard... the saw
snarled and rattled snarled and rattled As it ran light, or had to bear a load. (Frost 1, 7, and 8). This bit
from the poem shows a repetition pattern that the buzz saw is being worked hard and is under stress,
and rattling is a sign that something isn t working right in any tool. This could allude or lead up to a
deadly accident, key word being dead(death), showing that the saw could be an allusion to a death, or
the calling of death. More evidence can be seen on lines 15 20, and 31 32 where it says, ... To tell them
Supper. At the word, the saw As if it meant to prove saws knew what supper meant, Leaped out at the
boy s hand, or seemed to leap He must have given the hand... Neither refused the meeting... Half in
appeal, But half as if to keep the life from spilling... since they

4. Mandatory Minimums Should Not Be Mandatory
Those who oppose mandatory minimums argue that longer sentences cost too much, are ineffective in
reducing drug related crimes, and do not allow for lenience in extenuating circumstances.
The average cost of keeping a single prisoner incarcerated in federal prison for a year is approximately
$30,619.85 (Prisons Bureau, and Department of Justice), multiply that number by the typical five
years in prison mandatory minimum policy demands for minor drug crimes as well as multiplying it
by the approximate 93,262 inmates currently in prison for drug crimes (Federal Bureau of Prisons)
and the cost of long sentences required by mandatory minimums starts to add up.
In addition to the economical problems mandatory minimums contribute to, some adversaries suggest
that mandatory minimums may not even be effective, particularly in regards to reducing drug related
crimes. In many organized drug operations when one drug supplier is caught and incarcerated another
swiftly takes his place (Caulkins, Jonathan P). Furthermore, social scientists and public policy analysts
researching the effectiveness of mandatory minimums have found there to be little conclusive
evidence that mandatory minimums do in fact reduce crime (The United States Sentencing
Commission).
Another concern mandatory minimums pose is the lack of individualized sentencing. As previously
mentioned when discussing the positive aspects of mandatory minimums some view consistency of
sentencing as a favorable product of mandatory

These data objects can be in different data formats, such as text, image, video, audio,... etc. The
objects are ordered spatially, by linking various data objects into a single entity with dealing object
size, rotation, and placement within the entity, or temporally, creating a multimedia object according
to temporal relationship with the requirement of the synchronization of the data objects, to create
composite multimedia objects. The synchronization can be continuous or point. Continuous, like the
video conferencing, where audio and video signals are created at a remote site, transmitted over the
network, and synchronized continuously at the receiver site when presented, it requires constant
synchronization of lengthy events. On the other hand, in point synchronization, a single point of a
media block coincides with a single point of another media block, such as a slideshow with blocks of
audio allotted to each slide. Multimedia data is often classified according to if it is non temporal or
temporal. Non temporal data is often called static, such as text, images and graphics, and temporal
data is called dynamic, like audio, video and animation. A multimedia object can consist of both static
and dynamic data objects. An example of this would be a document describing the weather, with text
and a video on the movement of clouds in the area. Dynamic data divides into two subgroups: Non
changing dynamic data, non real time audio, video, animation, and

6. Compare And Contrast The Decisions Of The Berlin Conference
The decisions made at the conference reflect a philanthropic view that the Europeans did not harbor.
The motives mentioned above; however, show that the Europeans did not care about the treatment of
Africans, but instead cared about how much land they got in comparison to the land accumulations of
other countries. In the years following the meeting, the difference between how the delegates
decisions made imperialism in Africa seem versus the actual processes that happened was very
different. According to Tanja Buhrer, The liberal spirit of the conference and the free trade ideology

Leopold II s Congo was one of the best examples to show how different the missions of philanthropy

Leopold II, African people were forced to go under what is now regarded as the Congo Horrors, where
men, women, and children worked long and grueling hours. If they even made the smallest mistake,
they could have an arm or a hand physically cut off. If the decisions of the Berlin Conference were
followed more carefully, then this horrific treatment would not have happened. Besides the violence
that African natives had to face, other, more political regulations were not carried out. Freedom of
navigation on the rivers, something discussed in detail at the conference, was left to the power that
owned the section of the river to enforce; it was not regulated by someone else. Monarchs would

Maybe they d like to add a few inches to a child s height. Or improve their kid s chances at longevity
by tweaking inherited DNA. Planning the child s genetic future could really give him/her a head start

II. Background There isn t any background information of human genetic engineering because it is
perceived as unmoral, but there are many comparable instances of altering genes. Genetic engineering

most fertile farmland were planted with genetically modified crops last year, about 25 times as much

engineers are now moving genes around among plants and animals. The attempt to improve the

19. The Setting In The Most Dangerous Game
A man falls overboard and is lost at sea. He washes up on a strange island with no means of escape
and no possible way of contacting anyone to rescue him. He is trapped on the island. This is one way
the setting of The Most Dangerous Game enhances the plot by adding suspense, action and mystifying
image in the readers of the setting and adding an atmosphere of mystery.
The first area that the setting enhances the plot is in the feeling of suspense in the story. If the story
hadn t taken in a place with thick forest, a large swamp, and most of all being on an island, this story
wouldn t have as interesting or suspenseful as it is. Since the setting is on an island with only
Rainsford and Zaroff, this gives a feeling of being trapped. As there is no escape but if the story was
on the mainland there would be a much easier means of escape. The forest also adds greatly to the
plot, as without the forest Rainsford could not have hid as well as he did, set many traps to help even
odds, and beat the Zaroff at his own game and ambush him in his own home. Without these key

20. Arguments In Favor Of Immigration In The US
Immigration in the U.S. has made in big difference in the economy. Many people think they deserve to
stay, but then some like Donald Trump believe they don t deserve to stay. Most immigrants cross the
border for the opportunity to work, some come in hope for a better life for their family. Only a few of
the immigrants that are brave enough to take the trip actually stay in the U.S. Their jobs were often
dangerous and dirty, they worked long hours, and didn t get paid much. Almost all immigrants are not
lucky enough to find good jobs, with decent pay. If you are in the country illegally, you are not an
American citizen. When the immigrants that come to our country and believe they automatically have
the right to vote and have a job that is well paying is wrong. These illegals do not pay taxes for
schools, healthcare, and many more things. Many people think they should still be able to get a job so
they can pay for these things and become a citizen, but they do not realize it is just taking away jobs
for people who are here legally or the people that were born here. People should not be so quick to
decide that they are bad people, though. Most are just coming to this country so they can support their
families and give them better lives. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

21. The Effect Of Culture On Consumer Behaviour
In international market, understanding consumer needs and desired is extremely important to the
corporation in order to market their products and services properly into the market. Consumer
behaviour is a process in where individuals or groups select, buy, use and dispose of the products and
services to satisfy their needs and desires. The organisation simply cannot understand consumption
unless they consider its cultural context, as culture shows how people view leads to their acceptance.
Therefore, the effect of culture on consumer behaviour is powerful. This paper will discuss in more
details about that and further consider whether culture has the greatest influence on consumer
behaviour.
Culture has a complex concept that numerous of researchers talk about in different views. Cultures is
defined as a complex whole that includes of knowledge, belief, art, morals, law, custom and any other
capabilities and habits acquired by a member of the society (Hollensen, 2013). Culture provides the
important background of an individual that offer direction and guidance to its members in all phases
of life. Besides, Sojka and Tansuhaj describe culture as a dynamic set of socially obtains the member
of a particular society s behaviours, with the key element of language, artefacts, belief and values
(Sojka and Tansuhaj, 1995). There are three main characteristics of culture stated on Hollensen s
(2013) book: culture is learned, interrelated and shared. The tangible aspects of culture

24. The Ethics Of The Ethical Systems
The Ethical Systems In ethics, four systems serve as different beliefs concerning our morals:
Relativism Ethics, Consequentialism Ethics, Deontological Ethics, and Virtue Ethics. These four
theories attempt to define what right and wrong should be and how one should handle any situation.
There are many strengths and weaknesses of each view. The goal is to determine which theory is the
best by exploring real world situations and questioning the claims that just don t work out.
RELATIVISM ETHICS
There are two different types of relativistic views: Cultural Relativism and Subjectivism. Cultural
Relativism is the belief that culture defines what is right and wrong. Subjectivism is the belief that the
individual person decides what is right and wrong. Many pros and cons exist with an overall
relativistic view. First, the positive: Someone with this view will obviously be very tolerant and is not
likely to discriminate against a different culture or person. Also, morality depends on a social
experience, instead of being derived from a higher being, morality is derived from the surrounding
people. It is good to know the diversity and experience the many aspects of the world. Although this
might sound like a perfect world for everyone to be tolerant and understanding of one another, there
are many flaws to this theory. One flaw is that with this way of thinking, justice cannot exist. If
someone committed murder, they cannot be punished because they believe murder is right, which

Drones or unmanned aircraft are like a hammer or gun. They are tools. They are not inherently good

from the delivery of pizza, to weather forecasting, to weapons platforms in armed conflict. It is the
purpose of this paper to show the use of drones in warfare is necessary and can be ethically justified
using the principles of both deontology and utilitarianism. The fact that drones are remotely

are in possession of, versus the reality of the choices they ultimately have. Deontologicaly speaking
the pilot would only be held responsible for the good or wrongness of their actions alone. For
example, if a pilot controlling a drone was sent to back up allied troops pinned down by enemy fire
and fired two missiles with the first missile striking and neutralizing the enemy combatants. This
would be a good thing. However if that second missile missed the target and hit a building where it is

29. The Definition Of Public Relations Essay
Deconstructing the PRINZ definition of Public Relations
Public Relations in New Zealand is widely useful, practised and builds up an organisation s
relationships with its publics. PR in short, is essentially about communication and relationship
building. PRINZ [Public Relations Institute of New Zealand] (2009) defines PR as The deliberate,
planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain mutual understanding between an organisation
and its publics. This essay will deconstruct and critically examine this definition of public relations in
relation to PR theories. These theories being Systems Theory, Relationship Management and
Excellence Theory will be examined and applied to campaign examples. This will give a
comprehensive understanding of the theory s meanings as well as relationships with aspects of the
PRINZ definition of PR. To understand PR theories however, the term publics must first be addressed.
Gordon (2011) describes publics as potential or actual audiences connected to various messages.
(Rawlins, 2006) furthers this statement by stating that publics ...can be employees, shareholders,
political leaders, consumers, etc. and ...are often segmented even further by demographics,
geographics, or psychographics. (p.133). Grunig and Repper (1992) expand on this saying publics are
self formed and identify organisations for attention, essentially meaning publics are groups of people
linked by a common interest or problem. PR practitioners according to (Gordon,

30. The Nature of a Mistress-Servant Relationship in Daniel...
Relationships play a large part in the average modern day person s everyday life, just as relationships
were important in the past. Although types of companionships have somewhat changed over time, the
presence and importance of them still remains. Viewing, analysing and comparing other individual s
relationships to our own is something most people do, as a sort of assurance that things are natural.
This is why many people are interested in novels about ways that other human beings interact with
individuals and groups. Daniel Defoe s character Roxana has her own way of interacting with and

At the start of the novel, Roxana gives Amy the task of abandoning her children. Amy performs this
task without asking any questions, as a loyal servant of friend should. The children are only brought
back into the novel when Roxana realizes that one of her daughters is living in her home as a cook
maid. Amy is again given the task of dealing with her mistress s children. She dresses up and visits
them, giving them money on their mother s part, while careful not to reveal the secret about Roxana.
When one of the children figures out who her mother is, Amy kills her against Roxana s wishes. This
goes to show how loyal she is: even though she disobeyed her mistress, she treated the incident as if
the daughter had wronged her, rather than Roxana. This may just be what the murder is about Amy has
been close to Roxana for so long, sharing the secret identity, that it has almost become her own secret
in many ways. Her choice of words she ll ruin us all (272) (using us instead of you ) shows that she
feels as much in trouble as her mistress; on the other hand, her loyalty is still evident when she tells
Roxana: I ll put you out of your Pain, and her too (273). Amy is obviously thinking about preventing
her mistress from suffereing, more than she is thinking about herself. Amy again takes on the family
when she confronts Roxana s first husband. She finds out all there is to know and reports back to her
mistress, as she does in many cases.

If the Orings do not properly seal these gaps it is possible for exhaust gasses to get into the internal
structure of the joint field. The extreme temperatures of the exhaust gasses are too high for the internal
joint, known as the Tang and Clevis, to handle. The Tang and Clevis are the two main parts of the
joint. They are mating sections that are held together with one hundred seventy seven pins. Without
the O rings, the Tang and Clevis are not able to withstand the extreme pressure of exhaust gasses.

Four Technical Problems First let s look at the four mechanical aspects of the Challengers problems,
blow holes, O Ring erosion, joint rotation, and the response of O Rings during low temperature. The
condition of the primary seal is essential to the successful operation of the rocket booster. Engineers
had to make sure that the seal was not damaged, so they increased the pressure of the leak test to
above the pressure that the putty could withstand. This was supposed to make sure the O ring was
correctly covering the gap without the help of the putty. Blow holes were tiny tunnel like holes that
were left in the zinc chromate putty of the rocket booster insulation. The putty was supposed to protect
the O rings from the hot exhaust. The holes were a result of pressurized test known as the leak check
port. The leak test left engineers worried; they didn t think that the
