This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover

What would i do differently
- 1. What Would I Do Differently? By Jackson Davis
- 2. Film • I like producing the film • I am a perfectionist, I like things to be 100% perfect if possible, that’s why my work always takes me a long time • However, in some cases this means that the workflow gets slowed down, which isn’t ideal when working towards a deadline • There are a couple of bits in the film that I would definitely improve if I could
- 3. Visual Effects Shots • For the most part, they went very well • When showing to audiences, I reviewed a few comments about how good the shop fronts and so on looked • This is great, which meant that the bits that I were worried about, people didn’t notice • In some cases the masking was a bit sloppy and not 100% how I would like it, but I can’t spend 20 hours doing one shot, otherwise the whole process would be slowed down • So I had to bring it to a point where it was ‘good enough’, which in reality, people thought it was the full standard
- 4. Outfits • We had zero budget • No money to buys proper outfits or costumes • If we were to go back, I would probably suggest investing a little bit into proper outfits • For example, we maybe could have got some better coats, suit jackets, hats and so on • The clothes that Dolores is wearing in the shop scene, may have been considered ‘too modern’ due to the style and length

Setting • Obviously if I had the budget, I would fly to America and film in some of the best locations that I could find • However, we dealt with what we had • Transport was a little bit of issue and therefore, we did really get to explore many filming locations • Maybe we could do a better job of location scouting
- 6. Poster • The poster is good overall • It fits the style of the film • Given the traditional kind of poster, it is a little different • Maybe there are a couple of things that I would have liked to have done with a little more time
- 7. Painted Style • I didn’t have a huge amount of time for the poster • If I had a little more time to spend on it, I probably would have tried to recreate the painted style of poster, like the one for Double Indemnity • I probably would have replicated the effect using my graphics tablet and drawing straight into Photoshop, rather than painting in the conventional sense • This is not to say I’m unhappy with the poster that I have produced, I would have just liked a go at replicating that other style
- 8. Review Page • The review page is another ancillary production piece • David mainly took care of this piece • He made it in publisher and did a nice job overall of setting it out • He wrote the article which is quite fair and critical • The layout that he has used is very good, It is set out in columns like a conventional review page
- 9. Images • Some of the images on the review page are stretched • Its not a huge deal, but it bugs me a little • I can see that he has done it to make the text flow better, but it could have been done a little less destructively
- 10. Typefaces • He could have used “Sierra Madre” for the title of the page • This is the same font used in the titles and the poster • I think this would help it to coordinate better with the other pieces
- 11. Rating and Facts • A little box before the body of the article with the editors rating and a few facts about the film could have been added to split up the layout a bit • Not essential, but I think it’s a nice addition and works well
- 12. Overall • I am very very happy with the outcome of this entire coursework production • I think we have produced a really good effort at all 3 tasks and I think that coordinate very well with each other • There are only a couple of things that I would change or tweak, but that is only natural when constructing a large scale production over a number of months • I have also really enjoyed working and replicating the Film Noir style as a whole, It has been a learning curve as well as an interest
